Saweetie for Schön! Magazine #40 (Digital Cover)!
Rapper and Social media darling Saweetie, gracing this digital cover of Schön! 40 in styles by Les Benjamins, went from posting car raps on Instagram to becoming one of the leading voices in West Coast rap.
It’s an impactful time for women in Hip Hop. Aspirational content drives social media, and women have emerged as its main producers and curators. Rappers like Saweetie have cleverly captured the influencer zeitgeist. The 27-year-old multi-platinum artist grew a loyal fanbase by posting videos of herself rapping in her car on Instagram and broke into the mainstream with 2017’s viral track ICY GRL, which has racked up over 150 million Spotify streams. Since then, she’s had a 2020 chart hit with single My Type and collaborated with iconic contemporaries like City Girls and Doja Cat. Now, Saweetie’s hoping to release the album of the summer.
Through her uplifting music and online content, Saweetie — also seen in this piece wearing selections from Karl Kani and Nubikk — has crafted a Californian fantasy of leisure and luxury. Beyond the glitz and glamour, Saweetie (real name Diamonté Harper) is grounded with just the right balance of CEO energy and down-to-earth relatability. “I’m a businesswoman before I’m an artist. I had my own clothing boutique in college which actually helped fund some of my charges from university,” she shares. “I’ve always liked getting my own money. It’s just the energy from women in my family. It’s infectious. They’re all independent and they’re all go-getters.”
Saweetie has mastered making herself an accessible persona by using TikTok, Twitter and Instagram to break the wall between celebrity and fan. On YouTube, she offers sisterly life and business advice in her mini-lecture series Icy University and invites fans behind the scenes of work and play in the meme-filled The Icy Life. “I always tell people the world, or fans, no longer want the mysterious artist,” she explains. “They want the artist they feel like they know. I feel like quarantine has allowed me to get a step ahead in my career so that the fans can know who they’re supporting.”

Star of POSE Actor Billy Porter reveals he's been living with HIV for 14 years!
Billy Porter revealed that he's been living with HIV and was first diagnosed 14 years ago.
Billy Porter made history by winning an Emmy in 2019 for his role as Pray Tell, a character who is HIV-positive, on the FX series "Pose."
Now Porter has shared that he's been drawing on his own life as a gay man living with HIV for the role.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter revealed that he was first diagnosed 14 years ago.
The actor explained that in 2007 his life was in a bit of a shambles after having been diagnosed with Type II diabetes, filed for bankruptcy and then diagnosed with HIV.
"The shame of that time compounded with the shame that had already [accumulated] in my life silenced me, and I have lived with that shame in silence for 14 years," he told the publication. "HIV-positive, where I come from, growing up in the Pentecostal church with a very religious family, is God's punishment."
Billy Porter is calling for an end to violence against Black trans women and speaking out about his experiences as a member of both the Black community and the LGBT community.
Porter said he used his character on "Pose" as a "surrogate" for his status, but the pandemic caused him to pause and process his feelings about it all.
Now he says medical advances have helped him have undetectable levels of the virus in his system and Porter is now ready to tell the world "This is what HIV-positive looks like now."
"I survived so that I could tell the story. That's what I'm here for," he said. "I'm the vessel, and emotionally that was sufficient -- until it wasn't."
"It's time to grow up and move on because shame is destructive -- and if not dealt with, it can destroy everything in its path."
#RHOA: Kenya Moore and Melissa Gorga Attends Wedding of MUA George Miguel in NYC!
Fresh off their tropical vacation (filled with sexy swim looks) for a new series set to stream on Peacock, Kenya Moore and Melissa Gorga had another stylish meetup. On May 16, both ladies attended celebrity makeup artist George Miguel and Charles Arnone's New York City wedding. Naturally, each 'Wife served up a unique and fabulous take on wedding guest style.
Kenya looked like springtime personified in a black and pink floral-print dress that hugged her curves in all the right places. She paired the sleek frock with black and clear strap heels. The Real Housewives of Atlanta entrepreneur styled her hair into soft, voluminous waves, and she topped off her look with a bright pink pout.
Melissa, on the other hand, opted for some shimmer. The Real Housewives of New Jersey boutique owner shone in a multicolored sequin minidress paired with metallic stilettos. Her hair was styled into a high ponytail, and she sported a soft, glam makeup look. Melissa was accompanied by her husband, Joe Gorga, who looked sharp in a gray blazer, which he wore with a white button-up shirt and black pants.
"Oh, look who I found. I found the ATL in New York City," Melissa shared in an Instagram Story while smiling and posing with Kenya.
Melissa isn't the only RHONJ 'Wife Kenya has become friendly with. Last week, the Atlanta mom took to IG to share that her daughter, Brooklyn Daly, had received a "surprise gift" from her new pal, Teresa Giudice.

Kim Kardashian Calls Kourtney Kardashian Out For Being Rude To Staff!
A new Keeping Up With The Kardashians clip shows Kim Kardashian calling Kourtney Kardashian out for being rude to staff.
In the confrontation, Kim explains that Kourtney left their children's carer feeling "degraded" to the point where she started crying - something which Kourtney denied.
“[The nanny] said she felt so degraded by you and you just started yelling at her," Kim says to Kourtney (via MailOnline), to which Kourtney says, "Oh my God, she’s lying."
Kim then explained what she thought had happened, revealing the nanny was upset because Kourtney had shouted at her in a public place. "It should have been in private," Kim continued. "She [the nanny] said, ‘I wish you would have tapped me on the shoulder and said, ‘Hey something’s really bothering me. Can I talk to you?’ And we could have talked in private. But for her to yell at me in a restaurant [was wrong].'"
Kourtney insists she never yelled, saying it was actually the nanny who raised her voice. "She would never work for me the way she acts. She said [to Reign] 'boy, you're a liar' and I was like 'excuse me?' you're going to call a five-year-old a liar? I don’t want to talk about this with you because you obviously don’t get it," Kourtney finished.
Kim retaliated, "I like her so she's not getting fired. I like to keep my staff for a long time, so that's how I feel. You can’t even keep a nanny" to which Kourtney replied, "Kim, shut the f*ck up. The way you’re talking is wild."
In a confessional, Kourtney says, "Kim is throwing out all these jabs, intentionally to hurt my feelings, none of which are even true, like throwing out random lies about my own staff. That was really really hurtful coming from my sister."
This is pretty wild. But just another day in the life of the Kardashian-Jenners, eh?\

Jason Derulo Welcomes Baby Boy with Girlfriend Jena Frumes!
Jason Derulo is a dad! The singer, 31, welcomed his first child with girlfriend, model Jena Frumes, on May 8, the couple revealed Tuesday. In a sweet Instagram post, Frumes shared a series of photos from the hospital room where she delivered her newborn, as well as the baby's first week at home.
"A glimpse of my first week with our healthy handsome little king 👑🥺💛" Frumes, 26, captioned the post. "Life now has so much more meaning & I am so grateful. I'm so so so in love with this little boy he's everything I never knew I needed👶🏽🙏🏽 05/08/2021✨"
She added, "I love you forever @jasonderulo."
The couple did not reveal their son's name yet. Last month, the "Savage Love" singer shared on The Drew Barrymore Show that he "could not be more excited" to welcome the baby, as he wants another Derulo to carry on his name.
The star told host Drew Barrymore that he will be the first of his siblings to have a son.
"I think I've done so much in my life, right? And I've been able to accomplish a lot so at this point in my life I'm like, 'Okay, now who do I share it with?' " he explained. "Also, there [are] no men to carry my name. My brother had all girls, my sister had girls, so there's no more Derulos, like I needed to make it happen because somebody's got to carry the name."
The singer also opened up about meeting Frumes at the gym shortly before the coronavirus pandemic, which he said happened at "just the right time."
"I was just starting to really get baby fever, I guess with age and you meet someone you really, really connect with and it happened at just the right time," he said.
Shortly after announcing the exciting pregnancy news, Derulo and Frumes revealed in March they were expecting a baby boy exclusively with PEOPLE.
The pair found out the sex of their baby on the way via a blue fireworks display at the Privilege Pool at Baha Mar resort destination in the Bahamas with an intimate group of friends and family.
Ahead of the sex reveal, Derulo said in an Instagram video that he predicted a boy because of the way Frumes' baby bump "is sitting kinda low and it looks like a ball." Frumes, on the other hand, thought it would be a girl because of the way she's been "clumsy and moody" while pregnant.
Legendary actor Charles Grodin, star of ‘Beethoven,’ ‘The Heartbreak Kid’ and ‘Midnight DIES at 86!!
Actor Charles Grodin, whose dry wit and everyman persona led to decades of Hollywood success in films like “The Heartbreak Kid,” “Midnight Run” and the unlikely cinematic smash “Beethoven,” died peacefully Tuesday at his Connecticut home.
The 86-year-old Grodin passed away at his Wilton residence of bone marrow cancer, his family announced.
Grodin’s chameleonic career saw him start with a small 1968 role in “Rosemary’s Baby,” achieve leading man status four years later with “The Heartbreak Kid,” and carry the family-friendly 1992 tale of a dog named “Beethoven” to box-office success — and a sequel.
“So said to hear,” tweeted actor and comedian Steve Martin. “One of the funniest people I ever met.”
The scene-stealing Grodin famously co-starred opposite Robert De Niro in 1988′s classic buddy-film comedy “Midnight Run,” playing a deadpan mob informant nicknamed “The Duke” who traded caustic one-liners with the Oscar winner’s foulmouthed bounty hunter.
But he was at ease with a variety of co-stars, appearing with a giant ape in the 1976 remake of “King Kong,” as a straight man to the family St. Bernard in the two hit “Beethoven” movies, and as a suitor for Miss Piggy in “The Great Muppet Caper.”
On Broadway, he starred opposite Ellen Burstyn in “Same Time, Next Year” for more than three years after its 1975 opening. He later went on to become an irascible and in-demand guest for late-night hosts Johnny Carson and David Letterman before launching his own CNBC talk show.
Grodin’s show ran from 1995-98, and he also offered satirical commentary on a variety of topics for “60 Minutes II.”

“A brilliant comedy actor. I had the wonderful experience of working with him in my first feature ‘Real Life’ and he was amazing. Rest In Peace, Chuck,” tweeted performer and writer Albert Brooks.
The Pittsburgh-born Grodin, valedictorian of his high school, wound up studying acting with renowned teachers Uta Hagen and Lee Strasberg. His big screen debut came with a small role in the Roman Polanski horror classic “Rosemary’s Baby” before his breakout part as a newlywed pursuing another woman on his honeymoon in “The Heartbreak Kid.”
The Elaine May film, where he starred opposite Cybill Shepherd, provided a massive career boost as Grodin mused on subjects that included vegetables: “There is no deceit in the cauliflower.” He once explained the method behind bringing a miserable person like the fictional Lenny Cantrow to life.
“I thought the character was a despicable guy,” he once explained, “but I play it with full sincerity.”
Grodon worked alongside Warren Beatty in the 1978 hit “Heaven Can Wait” and the infamous 1987 flop “Ishtar.” His other credits include a supporting part in Mike Nichols’ “Catch-22,” the Brooks satire “Real Life” and a role opposite Kevin Kline in “Dave.”
Despite his success, his first shot at stardom was a miss. Grodin auditioned for the title role in Nichols’ “The Graduate,” only to see Dustin Hoffman win the role in the 1967 film

Demi Lovato Comes Out As Non-Binary: “I Will Be Officially Changing My Pronouns”!
The American artist announced they will use “they/them” pronouns in a heartfelt social media post.
Demi Lovato shared a video on Wednesday morning (May 19) announcing the change of their identity.
“I will be officially changing my pronouns to them/them. I feel this best represents the fluidity in my gender expression,” the singer says in the video.
In a follow-up post, the star reiterates their message from the video. “Today is a day I’m so happy to share more of my life with you all – I am proud to let you know that I identify as non-binary & will officially be changing my pronouns to they/them moving forward,” they wrote.
Adding, “Not only has my life been a journey for myself. I was also living for those on the other side of the cameras.”
The 28-year-old reveals the change came following “a lot of healing and self-reflective work” to be themselves.
“I’m doing this for those out there that haven’t been able to share who they truly are with their loved ones. Please keep living in your truths & know I am sending so much love your way,” Lovato shared.
Earlier this year, the star revealed they identified as pansexual. The singer – who previously said they identified as sexually fluid and queer – spoke about their sexuality in an interview with Joe Rogan for his Experience podcast.
“At this moment I want to adopt [children] for sure,” they revealed. “I also don’t know if I’m going to end up with a guy, so I can’t really see myself even getting pregnant. I don’t know. I’m so fluid now, and a part of the reason why I am so fluid is because I was super closeted off.”
When asked if they would label themselves as pansexual, Demi responded: “Yeah, pansexual. I like anything, really.”
They then joked: “I heard someone call the LGBTQIA+ community the alphabet mafia. That’s it! That’s what I’m going with.”
Lovato also revealed they cut their hair to free themselves of the “gender and sexuality norms” placed on them by their religion.
Earlier the year, Demi said their queer identity was shaped by the 90s classic Cruel Intentions, particularly the iconic kiss scene between Sarah Michelle Gellar and Selma Blair’s characters Kathryn Merteuil and Cecile Caldwell.
“It was definitely when I was young and should not have been watching Cruel Intentions, but I did and it was that scene where they made out on the park lawn,” they said. “I was just like, ‘Oh, wait a minute I really like that, I wanna try it.’
“And then when I was 17 I did get down with that and that’s when I knew.”
Before coming out to the world, the Cool For The Summer singer said they would express their sexuality through their songwriting.
“There were times I wrote songs about girls that my fans thought I wrote about guys,” Demi admitted. “I was sharing it with the world and yet I wasn’t being completely obvious with what I was talking. Music was my safe space.”
Earlier this year, Lovato released a personal documentary, Dancing with the Devil, on YouTube.
Released in March, the series offers an insight into Lovato’s personal life and their 2018 overdose which caused the star to have three heart strokes and a heart attack.

Marilyn Manson Sued by Former Assistant for Sexual Assault, Battery, and Harassment!
Ashley Walters, a woman who used to work as an assistant for Marilyn Manson, is suing the singer for sexual assault, battery, and harassment, The Cut reports. According to court documents obtained by The Cut (and viewed by Pitchfork), Walters alleges that Manson physically and psychologically abused her during her tenure as his employee. When reached for comment by Pitchfork, a member of Manson’s team denied any accusations of assault.
Walters’ lawsuit was filed today (May 18) in the Superior Court of Los Angeles County. The opening remarks state that Manson “used his position of power, celebrity and connections to exploit and victimize” Walters during her employment, and that he lured her into the job “with promises of artistic collaborations and creative opportunities.” “The reality was that he was looking to create an environment where Plaintiff was subjected to personal and professional sexual exploitation, manipulation and psychological abuse,” the complaint continues.
Walters began working for Manson in 2010 after the singer reached out to her on social media to “compliment her photography,” the complaint states. Walters, now 37, was a 26-year-old aspiring photographer at the time. Walters claimed that after some correspondence, she went to Manson’s home in West Hollywood to “discuss potential creative collaborations” and was allegedly instructed to park in a business lot behind Manson’s home. The complaint states that when Walters tried to leave later that night, Manson informed her that the parking lot was closed until the morning. Walters claimed Manson asked her to do a photo shoot, which she agreed to, before Manson allegedly “insisted” that she remove her shirt. Walters claims she eventually removed her shirt, but kept her bra on.
Following the photo shoot, the lawsuit claims, Manson allegedly pushed Walters onto his bed, pinned down her arms, and attempted to kiss her on the lips. The complaint states that after Walters moved away, Manson “moved behind Walters and bit her ear while grabbing her hand and placing it in his underwear.” The suit continues: “Walters again moved away from Defendant and, realizing it was now after 7 a.m., she was able to leave.”
After the alleged incident, the lawsuit claims that Manson “bombarded [Walters] with text messages praising her and telling her how much he loved their conversations and looked forward to working with her.” Walters said he offered her double her salary if she came to work for him. “She knew it could be an incredible opportunity to become involved in the creative entertainment field,” the lawsuit states, and Walters took the job as Manson’s assistant. “She unconsciously made the decision to focus on their shared interests and ignore the traumatizing experience of being pinned to his bed,” the complaint reads.
Throughout the duration of her employment under Manson, Walters alleges that she was often expected to work 48 hours straight and was constantly afraid of Manson’s angry outbursts and threats, which allegedly included him throwing dishes at her, threatening to commit suicide, and pushing her up against a wall. The suit claims that Manson “frequently destroyed furniture, electronics, and other fixtures in his home during fits of rage.” It also states that Manson “intentionally created an atmosphere that was isolating and began refusing to allow Walters to visit family on most holidays or take any time off.
At one point during an awards show in 2010, Manson allegedly “pushed Walters onto the lap of an actor and bragged that he could ‘have her,’” the complaint states. “It made me feel like I was his property,” Walters told the Cut. “It just made me feel like a piece of meat.” The suit also states that Manson “ordered his employees to say damaging or offensive things or wear Nazi paraphernalia while he recorded them so that he would have collateral in the event they spoke out against him. He also broke into his employees’ personal computers in hopes of finding damaging information he could use as blackmail.”
There are numerous allegations of physical, psychological, and sexual abuse outlined in Walters’ complaint. Walters is one of multiple women who have come forward with similar allegations against Manson in the past few months, including his former girlfriend Evan Rachel Wood, Wolf Alice’s Ellie Rowsell, Game of Thrones Actress Esmé Bianco, and more. As of now, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is investigating domestic violence allegations against Manson.

50 Cent May Be Trying To Seize Teairra Mari’s Assets Over Alleged Unpaid Debt!
50 Cent has filed court documents to seize Teairra Mari‘s assets.
According to Hot New Hip Hop, 50 Cent is not letting go of his past drama with singer Teairra Mari. The outlet reports that the singer still owes money to the rapper from a court judgment back in 2019. The drama goes back to when Mari sued 50 over revenge porn allegations when she was with her former boo Akbar Abdul-Ahad.
The rapper clapped back with his own lawsuit against her, and Mari ended up being ordered to foot the bill for Fif’s $30,000 legal fees. However, Mari took to social media to let the world know that she doesn’t have any money. According to Radar Online, the singer has yet to pay 50 the money he is owed, and now he’s taking the issue back to court.
Court documents show Mari owes 50 $37,733, a total that includes an additional $4,492 because Teairra was “sanctioned in the case” with an interest amount of $2,597.80. Radar Online reports that 50 filed new documents regarding the debt, including a write of execution. As he pursues access to her financial records, it appears 50 may be going after her assets.

Ozzy Osbourne defends his wife Sharon Osbourne as 'the most unracist person'!
Ozzy Osbourne is coming to Sharon Osbourne's side after a heated on-air discussion about racism on "The Talk" led to her departure from the show.
The daytime talk show went on a month-long hiatus in March and conducted an investigation that concluded Osbourne's behavior "did not align with our values for a respectful workplace."
Osbourne announced she was leaving the show March 26.
On Monday, her rock star husband spoke out about his wife on his Sirius XM show "Ozzy's Boneyard." He told his co-host Billy Morrison that a song on his upcoming album was about his wife and that she's "been through the mill of it."
"If my wife was slightly racist, I'll tell you she is possibly the most unracist person I've ever met," the 72-year-old singer said. "I'm not just saying that, you know?"
The "mill" Ozzy Osbourne addressed Monday started during a March 10 episode of "The Talk" in which co-hosts Sheryl Underwood and Sharon Osbourne got into a heated exchange. During the show, the 68-year-old TV host defended Piers Morgan's reaction to the Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan's tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Their conversation included the reason Harry and Meghan decided to step away as senior members of the British royal family, including Meghan feeling suicidal and not getting the help she felt was necessary from the palace, and someone (not the queen or the late Prince Philip, Harry later clarified) expressing concern about what color Harry and Meghan's son Archie's skin might be.
Osbourne said she felt she was "about to be put in the electric chair" because I have a friend who many people think is a racist and that makes me a racist," referring to Morgan, her former "America's Got Talent" co-judge, who said he didn't "believe a word" of what the royal couple said.
Underwood asked what Osbourne would say to people who felt it was racist to defend Morgan's comments during the controversial discussion. She replied: "For me, at 68 years of age to have to turn around and say 'I ain't racist' – what's it got to do with me? How could I be racist about anybody? How could I be racist about anybody or anything in my life? How can I?"
The next day on Twitter, Osbourne apologized. The show extended it's hiatus and days later some of Osbourne's former co-hosts, including Holly Robinson Peete and Leah Remini, accused Osbourne of racist behavior.
Ozzy Osbourne said his wife has "weathered the storm" and is "marching on."
"It's still unpleasant. Once you're accused of it people tie you with that brush and it's very hard to shake off," he said.
In April, "The Talk" returned without Osbourne. Underwood addressed the controversy saying it caused trauma and fear.
'The Talk' returns:Sheryl Underwood discusses Sharon Osbourne 'trauma' in 'race and healing' episode
Sharon Osbourne speaks out: After exiting 'The Talk' in racial controversy: 'I’m angry. I’m hurt.'
"I didn't want to escalate things with Sharon because I thought I was having a conversation with a friend, but also I knew I had to be an example for others to follow because I didn't want to be perceived as the angry Black woman," Underwood said. "And that really scared me. I didn't want to be that. I wanted to remain calm and focused. It is difficult to go back to that day because I just feel the trauma. I feel fearful a little apprehensive."
A week after the show returned, Sharon Osbourne appeared on HBO's "Real Time with Bill Maher" for her first TV interview since she left the show.
"I've been called so many things in my life, I am so used to being called names, but a racist is one I will not take," Osbourne said.
"Disagreeing with someone does not make you a racist," she added.

Trump Organization Investigation Turns Into Criminal One, New York DA Announces!
New York prosecutors have revealed that their investigation into the Trump Organization has changed.
What started out as a purely civil investigation over the organization’s inner workings has turned into a criminal one.
Fabien Levy, the press secretary to New York Attorney General Letitia James, told CNN that they “have informed the Trump Organization that our investigation into the Organization is no longer purely civil in nature.”
“We are now actively investigating the Trump Organization in a criminal capacity, along with the Manhattan DA,” he added. “We have no additional comment.”
The announcement comes after Michael Cohen, who was former President Donald Trump‘s personal attorney, had been interviewed by the district attorney.
