#RHOA: Reunion Recap: NeNe Goes to War with Eva and Kenya!
Thanks to the coronavirus pandemic, this season's "Real Housewives of Atlanta" reunion filmed via video conference -- but even that didn't stop one cast member from doing a virtual version of a walk-off.
Comparing the setup to a "jacked up version of The Brady Bunch" -- dubbed "The Shady Bunch" -- Andy Cohen began the festivities by asking the women how many of them had glam teams despite orders to practice social distancing. While Kandi Burruss said she did both her own hair and makeup, Eva Marcille revealed she only did her hair. The rest of the women were tellingly silent.
From there, it was off to the races, with NeNe Leakes and Kenya Moore getting into it almost immediately. "One minute in and I've been called a bitch, we're ahead of schedule," said Moore as they traded insults. "You'll be called a bitch every time I see you if you f--k with me," Leakes shot back.
The first real fight went down when Andy brought up NeNe's allegation that Kenya didn't use her own egg to have baby Brooklyn. Without hesitation, Eva said the comment was "so disgusting."
Defending herself, Leakes said she was only repeating something she heard, just like the other women do when "they speak out of the side of their neck." She told Eva this wasn't her fight and accused her of only butting in to try and secure a peach going forward.
The two women then started battling over who was more famous. "Nobody cares about you being on a carpet 17 years ago," Leakes shot her way. "I've been on the cover of magazines too and all you can talk about is 'Top Model' and that was the last time you were on top. You're a freshman bitch. A lot of us are your elders, respect your elders! You were licking bottoms to stay on top."
Leakes kept screaming into the screen, so Cohen put her on mute. That gave Kenya the perfect opportunity to say, "this is why people accuse Nene of being bipolar."
As NeNe was unmuted, she started coming for Kenya, but Moore kept the insults coming. "You over there looking like a white woman in drag," she told her, "I don't know if I'm looking at the Real Housewives reunion or a scene from 'White Chicks.'"
In the middle of all the squabbling, Porsha Williams also made a comment about Eva we just have to highlight: "Them titties is aged hens. They social distancing." So, there's that.
Kenya then showed off her marriage certificate, on camera, to dispute NeNe's claims her marriage was fake. Speaking of fake relationships, Cynthia Bailey then brought up NeNe insinuating her engagement was faked too to secure her peach.
"What we not gonna do is all you not gonna direct shit to me," Leakes shouted, as all the women focused in on her. "I can easily do this bitch," she said, before shutting off her camera. After her virtual walk-off, Moore cracked, "You know you need to come back, you weren't in the episodes and you need those checks girl!"
When Leakes returned, she then had to defend her relationship with Wendy Williams. The women all wondered how real their friendship was, after Williams -- on her talk show -- said Leakes was an "over there" friend.
"I don't think this is a real friendship. I think they both are not really being genuine and honest with each other," said Porsha. "She doesn't think anything of NeNe."
Kandi then called it a "strategic" friendship on NeNe's behalf. "If anybody else would talk shit about Nene like that, she would have went in. But Wendy is very beneficial as her friend," she explained. "[Wendy's] on a major platform, she can feed her information and show favoritism to Nene. It's easy to see why she doesn't want that friendship to go totally under the bridge."
NeNe said she and Wendy were in a "neutral place" friendship wise, claimed she didn't "need" Wendy and refused to discuss the relationship more "amongst these girls."
Leakes continued to be in the hot seat as the women laughed over NeNe and Porsha appearing the bury the hatchet and cry over their reunion during the season. Kenya claimed she had receipts to prove Leakes was plotting against her so-called friend, saying NeNe called her and Cynthia and asked "What are we gonna do about this?" after Porsha was cast on "Celebrity Apprentice."
Porsha came with her own receipts, claiming she had a text from Kenya plotting against her alleged friend Cynthia -- one which read something along the lines of "she's gonna get your ass ... trust your days are numbered." She wouldn't show the text on the screen, but texted it to both Andy and Cynthia, who will presumably react to it further next week.
In non-NeNe news, Eva was put on the spot for referring to both Kenya and Porsha as "nappy. headed little girls." Defending her language, Eva said she's a "black woman and one cannot tell me how to speak about the culture I am in."
Kenya, however, still felt slighted."You being a light skinned woman with straight hair, light eyes, it's difficult for a woman like me, that is brown like me, that has textured hair like me, to accept that as not being offensive.," said Moore. "I think you just have to be more sensitive to making remarks like that."
Moore also gave everyone an update on her relationship status with estranged husband Marc Daly. She said the two were "working on" their marriage and have been doing Zoom therapy sessions in quarantine, as he's in NYC.
"Marc has made a complete 360," she said. "He just seems like he's fighting for his family, which is all I ever wanted him to do."
Andy wondered if him seeing "what an asshole he was" on the show had something to do with his change of behavior, Moore said "maybe that's partially why." When Cohen added he was "sad" to see how Marc spoke to her throughout the season, Kenya said she's not a fighter when it comes to her family.
"If things happen and I don't like it, I'd address it after the camera stopped rolling," she said. Crying, she added she's not "combative" with people she loves and saves that side of her for those she just doesn't care as much about.
The "Real Housewives from Atlanta" reunion will continue next Sunday on Bravo.

Soul singer Yebba presents us with her brand new single called “Distance”. The Mark Ronson co-produced track is the first offering from Yebba’s upcoming debut album on RCA Records.
“Distance” was co-written by Yebba and recorded with The Roots and Pino Palladino at NYC’s Electric Lady Studio.
Yebba adds about the song: “Emotionally, physically, and spiritually we were trying, but the only thing that came naturally was the distance .So I wrote a goodbye before we ever got the chance to fight.”
The 25 year old emerging soul star grew up in Arkansas and was raised listening and singing to Gospel music. She’s steadily built up a fan base since releasing her video “In My Mind” in 2016 followed by the single “Evergreen”.

With the dust barely settled on the much-anticipated Erykah Badu vs. Jill Scott Instagram Live event that took place on Saturday (May 10), Verzuz has announced its next epic matchup: Nelly vs. Ludacris.
The battle was first announced via a May 9 IG Live conversation Verzuz co-owners Swizz Beatz and Timbaland.
“Can we get that, Ludacris versus Nelly, can we get that next Saturday, Timbaland?” Swizz asked Timbo. “Yes, we can get that. We got that,” he replied.
Keeping in line with the other battles thus far, it brings together two artists that had incredible track records of crafting countless hits throughout their careers.

#RIP Legendary Actor and Father of Ben Still Jerry Stiller Dies at 92!
Jerry Stiller, the American comedian and actor, had died at the age of 92.
His son, the actor Ben Stiller, confirmed the news, tweeting that his father died of natural causes.
Jerry Stiller had a long and successful career as a comedian, including in the comedy duo Stiller and Meara with his wife Anne Meara, as well as acting on the small and big screens. He played George Costanzas’ father Frank on Seinfeld and also starred alongside his son Ben in films including Zoolander.
Stiller was born in Brooklyn, the eldest of four children. He served in the U.S. army during the Second World War. Once he returned from combat, he began acting in the theater, before meeting his future wife and embarking on a career in comedy.
He later found success on the small screen in the sitcoms Seinfeld and The King Of Queens, with his film roles also including Hairspray and The Heartbreak Kid.
He is survived by his son Ben and daughter Amy Stiller, and has two grandchildren via Ben.
'American Idol' Recap: Top 7 Contestants Revealed!
The Top 11 on "American Idol" turned into the Top 7 as the remaining contestants sang their hearts out in another remote performance round.
The performers started the night with a tribute to Disney music, and then they all honored their loved ones for Mother's Day.
Last week, judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan decided to use their one-time-only power to save one competitor from elimination: Makayla Phillips from Temecula.
But, who survived this time to make it into the Top 7?
Arthur Gunn, Just Sam, Jonny West, Louis Knight, Julia Gargano, Francisco Martin and Dillon James all made it to the next round. Meanwhile, the show said goodbye to Jovin Webb, Grace Leer, Sophia James and Makayla.
Jonny West is the only Southern California competitor left in the running after Sophia and Makayla were eliminated.
"At this stage of the game right now you could just throw it up in the air, they are all going to come down with careers," Lionel Richie told ABC7's George Pennacchio. "Everyone has their specialty that I'm loving, and the fact that they're challenging themselves, it's not even a competition between each other anymore. It's all about how great can you be on the next thing you do."
There is just one more week until the next "American Idol" is crowned.
#Condolences: Rep. Maxine Waters Lost Her Sister To The Coronavirus Pandemic!
Very sad news. California Representative Maxine Waters recently revealed that her sister passed away due to complications from the coronavirus. Last month, we reported that she shared this news, on the senate floor, as they were getting ready to vote on a $480 billion for COVID-19. At the time, Maxine Waters stated:
“I’m going to take a moment to dedicate this legislation to my dear sister who is dying in a hospital in St. Louis, Missouri right now, infected by the coronavirus.”
In an interview with theGrio, Maxine Waters revealed the pain she’s feeling after losing her sister:
“It is one of the most painful things that I’ve ever had to experience in my life, she had suffered. And so we are going through a very difficult time. It was not easy, but in many ways, I’m so glad she’s out of pain.”
She explained that her sister, like many other African-American seniors, was living in an assisted care facility, which the congresswoman said could be a dangerous environment for the vulnerable.
“The nursing home is the only place we have for many of our seniors, many of whom have outlived their families, that’s where they go. And now these nursing homes are like a petri dish for the continued development of this virus that is killing us.”
Maxine also makes a strong statement urging black people to take care of themselves,
“I want Black people to do everything that they can to take care of themselves, I want them to be aware that they gotta have masks. They can’t go out. They can’t party. They can’t be in groups. I want them to isolate as much as they can. I want us to honor all of that. I want us to be patient with all of that.”

America Ferrera And Husband Ryan Piers Williams Welcome Second Child!
America Ferrera had plenty to celebrate this Mother’s Day. On Sunday, the 36-year-old actress announced the arrival of her second child with husband Ryan Piers Williams, daughter Lucia Marisol.
“LUCIA MARISOL WILLIAMS 🌟arrived on May 4th to give me my Mother’s Day hugs and kisses herself,” Ferrera wrote on Instagram. “Mama, Dada & Big Brother are over the moon to welcome her bright light to our family.”
Ferrera also posted of herself holding Lucia’s hand with Williams. The proud dad, 38, shared the same image to his Instagram, calling his newborn daughter “the most exquisite little creature.”

In January, Ferrera revealed she was pregnant and expecting her second child with Williams. The couple welcomed son Sebastian in 2018.
Ferrera added that while the coronavirus pandemic halted her baby shower, she still wanted to give back.
“Quarantine may have canceled her Baby Shower but it didn’t stop us from collecting and delivering essential supplies to #YesWeCanMobileSchools – spaces for moms and children at the border to learn, play, and stay safe through these hard times,” she posted. “If you’re considering sending Lucia a gift, please donate to @yeswecanwf in her name. Ferrera and Williams have been married since 2011.
Kevin Hart and Wife Eniko Reveal Their Second Baby's Gender in Mother's Day Post!
In a loving Mother's Day Instagram post, hubby Kevin Hartshared the gender of their second baby, just two months after they revealed the pregnancy.
"Happy Mother's Day to this beautiful woman & wife of mine," Kevin wrote. "We love you @enikohart ....And we are thrilled about the arrival of our baby girl....Family of 6 WOOOOOOOOW!!!!"
"God is unbelievable," the 40-year-old comedian continued. "We are blessed to have you in our lives. All I can say is thank you honey."
This will be the married couple's second child together, who'll be joining their two-year-old son, Kenzo Kash. Kevin also has two children from his previous marriage, 15-year-old daughter Heaven and 12-year-old son Hendrix.
As you can see from the photos —shared to Kevin's 90 million followers—it's one big happy family! Eniko, who is seen wearing a pink sash, held her baby bump with joy.
On a similar post to Eniko's Instagram, the once again mother-to-be got emotional.
"OH BABY, it's a little lady," Eniko wrote. "This Mother's Day God has blessed us with another baby girl, this pregnancy felt the exact same I could've sworn we were having another boy. I literally screamed, laughed, and cried when we found out this time around because she & Kenzo are what I've always prayed for."
"Dreams really do come true," she continued. "We are filled with so much JOY! Our little family is growing and starting to finally feel complete. Soon enough the little ones will be running and bossing us all around. Lol! She is already loved in so many ways... and we're so anxious to meet her."

JAY-Z’s Team Roc Demands Justice for Ahmaud Arbery in Letter to Georgia Officials!
JAY-Z’s Team Roc published an open letter to Georgia officials in today’s issue of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution seeking justice for Ahmaud Arbery. Arbery, 25, was shot and killed while jogging in Brunswick, Georgia. Two months after his death, Gregory and Travis McMichael were finally arrested on charges of murder and aggravated assault.
The letter was signed by JAY-Z, Alicia Keys, Meek Mill, and Yo Gotti. It calls for District Attorney Tom Durden to recuse himself, citing a conflict of interest due to Gregory McMichael’s past as a police officer. It also asks for a fair trial and the naming of William Bryan as an armed accomplice. Read it below.
“Ahmaud was a loving son, a brother and a positive role model in the community,” the letter reads. “He was a human being. He was also African-American which, sadly, means that he was a target. Still. And, on this Mother’s Day—just two days after what would have been Ahmaud’s 26th birthday—we simply cannot and will not stand for another black mother who must spend the day mourning the loss of her black son because of the color of his skin.”
Ms. Juicy Posts Emotional Tribute To Miss Minnie On The Day Of Her Funeral!
The death of Ashley "Miss Minnie" Ross in a car crash last month has hit her Little Women: Atlanta co-star Ms. Juicy hard. The reality star shared a short Instagram post immediately following the tragic news, expressing her shock, but has now posted a much longer message to her late co-star ahead of her funeral on May 9.
“Girl, you know I usually don’t do this but today it’s an exception… I can’t express the PAIN I’ve been feeling this last week but I know it’s no comparing to the PAIN you’ve been feeling here on Earth but that’s all over now for you,” she began.
She continued, “We all want to ask the questions WHY WHEN HOW FOR WHAT BUT WHY??? You see GOD makes NO mistakes. So I don’t ???? Him!! I TRUST, BELIEVE, HAVE FAITH, AND OBEY!! '90 Day Fiancé' Star Lisa Had Toe Amputated After Visiting Usman In Nigeria!
“90 Day Fiancé” star Lisa is without a toe after having to get it cut off due to an infection.
Earlier this week, footage leaked from the “90 Day Fiancé” Tell-All which has yet to air. In one clip, host Shaun Robinson asks Lisa how she is doing while under lockdown.
Lisa says, “I’ve been doing a lot of reading. Interacting with my daughter because she has no school until next year.
I’ve actually been in quarantine since February 14. I had surgery, the only time I was allowed out was to see the surgeon. I’m on the path to recovery. The surgery went perfect, he released me 10 days ago now I’m able to walk again.”
When asked why she needed surgery, Lisa told Shaun she suffered an injury before visiting Usman in Africa.
She said, “When I left for Nigeria I injured my small toe. It got really bad it swelled up terribly in Africa. I was miserable trying to walk over there. When I returned in December, my surgeon tried to treat it but it kept dying off, so we had to amputate the toe on the 14th. I should have never went to Africa but I did.”
Shaun asked if it was an infection that caused the health problems. Lisa explained, “yes, the doctors when I returned back to the states they ran every blood test to see if there was any disease I picked up in Africa.”
Lisa said, “But it wasn’t. The blood vessels when I hit it just exploded it the toe. So, there was no blood flow getting into it and it just died.
As previously reported, during the reunion, Usman accuses Lisa of calling him the N-word recently.
Lisa didn’t deny the allegation but attempted to divert by accusing her husband of cheating on her. In the days since the footage leak, Lisa appears to be do damage control by posting a bunch of sentimental photos of Usman on her Instagram and changing her name from Lisa to “Fatima Lisa Umar.”
Fans haven’t had time for the Lisa after the racism calling her “trash.”
Princess Love’s had Enough – Files for Divorce from Ray!
*Princess Love apparently said “eff it” and has put Ray J on notice that she wants OUT of her almost four-year marriage.
Love, 35, filed papers earlier this week in LA County Superior Court, per a TMZ report. She and Ray J, 39, had already been living separately after their epic Las Vegas meltdown last year, in which Love accused Ray J of stranding her and their 1-year-old daughter Melody Love following the BET Awards.
Obviously the Las Vegas incident was what lit the fuse, at least publicly, on their marriage meltdown, so her divorce action will come as no surprise. In fact, in the wake of that incident, Love said she had no desire to be married any longer and Ray J was photo’d out and about without his wedding band.
In January, the couple welcomed a baby boy, Epic Ray Norwood, and earlier this month, Page Six reported that Love was keeping Ray J in quarantine — and monitoring his activities via Instagram — in a hotel 10 minutes from his LA home before allowing him to see the children.
Former New Hanover Deputy Face Charges For Terrorizing North Carolina Family!
Five days after New Hanover County Deputy, Jordan Kita, was accompanied by two allegedly armed Caucasians to terrorize Monica Shepard and her son, Dameon, at their home, charges are now being filed in Pender Country, North Carolina.
According to reports, a gang of armed white individuals lead by Kita knocked on the door of the home of Monica Shepard home late Sunday night. Monica was asleep, but her son, Dameon, a high school senior, was up playing video games, and he answered the door.
The gang demanded information on a missing teenage girl that was reported missing earlier in the day, and we’re looking for someone named Josiah.
Dameon, who identified himself to the gang and repeatedly denied having any information, the group continued to interrogate him.
Kita stuck his foot in the door as Dameon tried to close it and attempted to force his way inside. Monica was awakened by the commotion and attempted to get the gang to leave, but they refused to leave her property and demanded they be allowed inside.
After realizing they had the wrong address, and the arrival of the Pender County Sheriff’s Department, the gang disbursed.
District Attorney Ben David announced Kita would be charged with forcible trespass, breaking and entering. David says Kita was fired from New Hanover Sheriff’s Department.
David also announced Austin Wood, another member of the gang that terrorized the Shepard’s will be charged with going armed to the terror of the community.
As the DA’s office work to gather information on the other members of the gang, more charges will be filed.
Monica Shepard and her family are putting their faith in the justice system.
”One thing I’ve always told my children is in life we have choices, all of our choices we have consequences to those actions,” Monica said. “So, I can’t really say whether Kita’s firing is enough or not, all I can say is I trust that they’re doing what they have to do to make sure they are following their policies based on what was done.”
Staten Island Nurse Facing Charges After Stealing Credit Card Of Dying COVID-19 Patient!
A Staten Island University Hospital nurse has been accused of stealing the credit card of a former COVID-19 patient while he was hospitalized. Danielle Conti, 43, stole the credit card from 70-year-old Anthony Catapano while he was being treated at the hospital for Covid-19, according to the New York Police Department. His daughter, Tara Catapano, claims several items were missing from her father’s things when she went to go pick them up, including his cellphone, two cellphone chargers, his eyeglasses, money, and a buzzer.
Conti used the credit cards on April 9 for $60.23 worth of gas and groceries. According to Catapano’s daughter, she noticed the charges on her father’s AMEX bill and found the charges odd since he always paid for gas in cash. She then realized the charges occurred while he was fighting for his life in the hospital. “Due to the pandemic no visitors are allowed, therefore that means a hospital employee stole my father’s credit card, used it and then returned it to his wallet,” Catapano wrote on Facebook.
Conti is facing charges of grand larceny, petit larceny, and possession of the stolen property. Conti was issued a desk appearance ticket to appear in Staten Island court at a later date.
Anthony Catapano had been admitted on April 4 and passed away on April 12 due to complications from the virus.
The hospital released the following statement to local news outlets regarding Conti:⠀⠀⠀
“Danielle Conti has been temporarily suspended and faces termination in response to the felony charges. We are working closely with the law enforcement authorities, and the hospital is conducting its own investigation. Ms. Conti has been an employee since 2007.”
