Sandra Bullock Covers InStyle Magazine June 2018 Issue
Actress Sandra Bullock takes the cover story of American InStyle Magazine‘s June 2018 edition lensed by fashion photographer Carter Smith. In charge of styling was Paul Cavaco, who for the session selected looks from top brands such as Alberta Ferretti, Isabel Marant, Etro, Altuzarra, Louis Vuitton, and Sacai. Beauty is work of hair stylist David Babaii for Lowe & Co, makeup artist Sabrina Bedrani at The Wall Group, and manicurist Betina Goldstein for Lowe & Co. production by Avenue B.
“It’s easy to give money to people who are incredibly brave and outspoken. But Time’s Up is not just about the actors—it’s about the single mom who’s been abused, bullied, and sexually harassed and is just trying to make every day safe. I also love All Raise, which has partnered with Time’s Up to help close the gap on funding for women and minorities in technology. It’s our duty to do whatever we can to help. I can safely say there is not one person I know who hasn’t experienced some form of [harassment] or doesn’t know someone [it’s happened to].
It happened to me when I was 16. And you’re paralyzed to a degree, thinking, “Will anyone believe me?” And at that time? No. Up until recently it was the victim who was shamed, not the perpetrator. But just like with this [points to the TV], we can do peaceful protests and utilize the media. We’re raising our children to be fearless. At least I hope I’m raising my kids that way.” – Bullock for InStyle Magazine on donating $500,000 to Time’s Up.
#RHoA: NeNe Leakes Thanks Kim Zolciak and Her ’RHOA’ Costars for Support After Husband Gregg’s Cancer Diagnosis
NeNe Leakes is grateful for Kim Zolciak's support following husband Gregg Leakes' cancer diagnosis.
The 50-year-old television personality said in an Instagram post Thursday that it meant a lot for her Real Housewives of Atlanta co-star to reach out despite their feud.
"We have been so overwhelmed with the outpouring of love, support, thoughtfulness & prayers," Leakes wrote. "So far, Gregg is doing great! He feels good with the exception of not being able to eat a lot. The cancer was removed! Now we have to decide whether we do chemo or not?"
"Thank you so much to the ladies i work with and have worked with in the past for sending gifts, love and just good ole words of encouragement," she added, tagging Zolciak and several other current and former co-stars. "We hope you all know that this means a lot."
Thank You all so very much! Excuse how i had to type this as i am at different appts with Gregg so i just type when i can to keep you guys updated❤️ #lifeoftheleakes
Leakes and Zolciak clashed during The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 10 after Zolciak's daughter Brielle Biermann posted a video of alleged cockroaches in Leakes' home. Leakes rejected an apology from Zolciak in April.
"Please file a lawsuit Chile! Like I'm begging you," she responded. "You can never WIN when you play DIRTY so throw in the towel! I mean throw in the lips."
Leakes announced Gregg's diagnosis in an Instagram post Wednesday. She shared a photo of her husband at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
"Our New Normal and the fight begins," the star wrote on Instagram. "#mdandersoncancercenter #yougotthis #iloveyou."
#Empire: The Best All-Time Anika Moments on “Empire” Part #2
When Empire first came out back in 2015, it became an instant hit mainly because of the characters at play. The top billers, Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard, are the epitome of what power couples should be. Not only are their characters successful and charismatic; they’re also equally insane in the most dramatic sense of the word. Of course, for Taraji’s character Cookie to be fully recognized, there has to be an opposing force that’s just equal in power and pull. That opposing force for the past four seasons of the show is Anika Calhoun, played by the amazing Grace Byers. Anika was a force to be reckoned with on the show, and she still managed to shock us all her time on the show. So in her honor all this week on The Chronicles we will show you the five best Anika moments on Empire.
Who I Am – Season 1 Episode 12
There were many shockers in the season 1 finale of Empire, but this one had to top them all. At first sight, it might’ve seemed that Anika was getting exactly the revenge that she wanted to get on Lucious. Lucious caught Anika with Hakeem deep in a make out encounter, but it wasn’t Lucious we felt bad for. We actually felt bad for Anika because this was the first time that she really showed her weakness. For her to stoop so low as to use Lucious’ son against him, it showed that she really wasn’t as creative as we thought she was. She got points for playing the part of heartless bitch even though we knew she was hurting herself by trying to hurt Lucious.

Kirk Franklin Reveals His Sister Was Sentenced to 30 Years in Prison
The award-winning Gospel singer Kirk Franklin has revealed that his sister has been sentenced to 30-years in prison.
The singer did not reveal on what charges warranted such a lengthy sentence but the “Brighter Day” artist has been open in the past about his sister’s drug addiction.
“For over ten years, my younger sister was incarcerated in a facility here in Texas. She was in love with a young man who was drug dealer,” Franklin said in 2015. “He introduced her to not only selling drugs, but using as well. When he was arrested for drug trafficking, she was arrested along with him. After she served her time, she was brought before the review board who determined she was ready to be released and brought back into society. The documents were signed and she was set free… but only on paper.”
He continued, “After a few months back into the free world, it became obvious to me rather quickly that my sister was still in prison. It’s what they call being institutionalized. She quickly started using again, becoming very reckless with her body, which turned into her using it as a means to pay for her habit.”
It was then Franklin realized he needed to sit down the read the Bible.
“God has given us a tool which renews our thinking,” he said. “It reprograms us to receive everything that is ours. It shows us that we are heirs and joint heirs. It cuts down the weeds that have grown in our minds.”
Kirk’s sister was sentenced to 30 years for drugs in Texas.
Kanye West Accused Of Ripping Off Artist For Yeezy Campaign Photos
Kanye West is being accused of stealing an artist’s work … again.
West has come under fire over the Yeezy Season 6 campaign photos released last week. Many of the photos, shot by Eli Russell Linnetz, bare a striking resemblance to a 2015 photo series by artist Rita Minissi.
Diet Prada, an Instagram account dedicated to spotting knockoffs, was first to notice.
“Another day, another Kanye rip,” the account posted over the weekend. “It’s pretty messed up when you consider the original work by Rita Minissi explores identity and was inspired by dealing with personal trauma and a resulting desire to reconnect with her own body.”
The artist herself took notice shortly after, calling out Kanye in a series of side-by-side comparisons posted on her Instagram story.
Minissi also screenshot a text conversation where she said she received a threatening message on Instagram saying she “must have a death wish to be f***ing with ye.” She added, “I am one person, without a production team, feeling indescribably overwhelmed.”
While Kanye West has yet to chime in, it’s worth noting the rapper has been accused of lifting other artist’s work before.
Earlier this year, ex-Nike designer Tony Spackman called him out for ripping off a 13-year-old sketch and passing it off as a Yeezy design with Spackman’s date whited out.
West explained that “a newly hired designer on the Yeezy team presented work that was not of their own,” adding the former employee was let go immediately after.
‘Power’ Teases New Storyline and Drops Details on the Decision to Kill Off a Fan Favorite
It’s an answer that a lot of fans wanted to know after the episode first aired, and they can get now get a detailed answer.
While speaking in “The Hollywood Reporter Showrunners Roundtable,” Courtney Kemp, “Power’s” creator, said Raina’s character was killed by Ray Ray because the series is based on the unexpected happening.
She also said the actions of Tariq, Raina’s twin brother, also played a part in the decision since most people probably thought he’d pay the consequences instead of her.
“The show is governed by the concept of the surprising and the inevitable,” she said. “So the dominoes have to fall a certain way. The character’s brother had committed a series of acts, for which in their world you get got. So then his sister being a white hat on our show tries to save her brother from his fate. And as a result of him making these choices, she’s the one who gets hurt … That is surprising, because it’s not him but it’s inevitable, because he made some terrible choices.”
Kemp also said the stories write themselves, and if a character is killed off, it’s because things were leading up to that moment.
“So in terms of the storytelling, I always feel like the story leads you where it’s supposed to go,” she explained. “Sometimes you want to buck that. Sometimes you don’t want that. Sometimes you don’t want that character to die. And in the case of my show, characters die every season. Sometimes you don’t want that. I’ve had actors who I’ve loved, and I was like [crying] as I typed their demise. In that case, I felt like there was no other choice.”
But the actress who played Raina, Donshea Hopkins, found that reasoning very hard to accept at first. In fact, Kemp said she took it extremely hard.
“I think for the child actor she was frightened and confused,” said Kemp. “Then you bring the parent in to say, ‘Hey, it’s not the end of the world. There will be other jobs.’ That kind of thing.”
In addition, Kemp explained that she talked to Hopkins about a week before a draft of the script was given to the production team, so the news wouldn’t leak and get back to her.
Hopkins spoke about the moment when she heard about her character in a 2017 interview and expressed how shocked she was.
“So I went up [to Kemp’s office], she told me, and she was like ‘Hey, we’re killing you off’ and I was just like ‘Wow.’ It was so unexpected,” she recalled. “The same way the viewers felt, that’s how I felt when she told me. I cried, and I was so distraught. I cried right in the office. Now I can look back and laugh at it.”
Then days later, on a phone call, Hopkins said she pitched Kemp story ideas to keep her character on the show, but they were all quickly rejected.
Season 5 of ‘Power’ airs on July 1, and you can see Kemp talk about “Power” and Hopkins HERE

Andy Cohen Labels Aviva Drescher’s Claims Against The Real Housewives As ‘So Dumb’ As Bethenny Frankel Fires Back
Andy Cohen isn’t too happy about Aviva Drescher‘s recent interview with Page Six.
Following an article titled “‘Housewives’ say Bravo keeps the booze flowing,” Andy, the creator of the Real Housewives franchise, spoke out against the former star of The Real Housewives of New York City on his Instagram page.
“I mean, this article is so dumb,” Andy said on an Instagram story. “It’s a lot of quotes from Aviva complaining about the show, basically.”
During her interview, Aviva told Page Six that her head producer pressured her into doing a shot during filming and even said “no” when she asked if she could instead fill the shot glass with water.
“I was so weak and so intimidated by the production team, and I had just gone through all the negotiations of my contract for the second season and those were demoralizing,” she recalled. “I took the shot. I felt tremendous pressure to do it.”
Following Andy’s statement against Aviva, Bethenny Frankel spoke out on Twitter, slamming her former co-star and friend for “misrepresenting the truth” and lying about things that happened behind-the-scenes.
In response to Bethenny’s tweet, Aviva shared a message of her own, confirming that she had, in fact, been pressured to drink alcohol during her time on Bravo TV.
Following the Page Six article, the network released a statement, via a spokesperson, to People.
“The franchise follows the women in their real lives,” the statement read. “No one is pressured to drink alcohol. If the network, production company or castmates have deemed that someone is putting themselves at risk in their overall lives, we have taken and will continue to take responsible action.”
The Real Housewives of New York City airs Wednesday nights at 9 p.m. on Bravo TV
