New Music Video: Tank – ‘You Don’t Know’ (Ft. Wale)
Tank‘s “You Don’t Know” single, featuring Wale, gets the video treatment. In the clip, the R&B crooner’s leading lady is met with disappointment after waking up in bed alone – but that quickly turns to joy after she discovers a card and designer dress he left behind. She eventually makes her way to a surprise party he planned for her.
The song serves as the first single off Tank’s new album, Sex, Love & Pain 2, and in an interview with Rated R&B, he explained why he decided to create a sequel to 2007’s Sex, Love & Pain.
“I think I needed to get back to that space of Sex Love & Pain because of the process of how we made that album,” he says. “We just wanted to make some cool music. There was no pressure on us. There was no deadline. There was nothing. We made music on the edge of that line – that R&B line. We pushed the limits of R&B at that moment. This is that album. I wanted to get back to that energy, get back to that edge of R&B and getting back to pushing that line. I feel like it’s time.”

Sex, Love & Pain 2 is due out on January 22.
YIKES! Cowboys LOSE QB Tony Romo for the SEASON!
Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo suffered a left collarbone injury on the final play of the third quarter during Dallas' 33-14 loss Thursday when he was sacked by Carolina Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis.
Romo missed seven games with a broken left collarbone suffered in a Week 2 win over the Philadelphia Eagles when linebacker Jordan Hicks landed on Romo after an incomplete pass.
After the game, Romo said the sensation was similar to what he felt when he fractured the collarbone earlier this season.
Davis landed on Romo on this sack, jamming the quarterback's left shoulder into the turf.
After getting treated by the Cowboys medical staff, Romo went straight to the locker room for further examination. He was holding his left arm close to his side as he walked off the field.
Coach Jason Garrett said X-rays were inconclusive and that Romo would undergo more testing Friday.
Garrett wouldn't rule out Romo returning this season and said he would play if he was cleared even with the Cowboys unlikely to make a return trip to the playoffs.
Romo did not have surgery after his Week 2 injury and returned to action last week against the Miami Dolphins.
His Thanksgiving could not have been worse. Romo was intercepted three times in the first half and had two of them returned for touchdowns by Kurt Coleman and Luke Kuechly. It is the fourth time in his career Romo has had two interceptions returned for touchdowns in a game.
Matt Cassel replaced Romo on Thursday. The Cowboys released Brandon Weeden on Nov. 17 and have Kellen Moore and Jameill Showers on the practice squad.
Romo was wearing extra protection under his shoulder pads Thursday. The team's equipment and medical staffs sewed a hex-pad into an undershirt Romo wears.
When he returned last week, Romo acknowledged the possibility of a re-break despite being cleared
"Honestly, I think every time you come back, there's going to be a few weeks where you're risking it," Romo said. "That's part of when you come back from a collarbone in seven, eight weeks or whatever. It's just always the re-break ability is going to be there. It's a real thing. It happens all the time in the NFL. But you have to go play. We don't have much wiggle room."
Hoping for a good recovery! And this is from an Eagles fan!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING: See The Celebs Give Back For Thanksgiving!
It’s Thanksgiving and see a few of your Favorite celebs take time out of their busy schedules to give back to communities across America.
Rapper/actor T.I. hosted his 12th annual Hustle Gang Holiday event where he and his crew gave out turkeys to those less fortunate. Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed joined forces with the Kang of the South to give back to the community.
When you’re a father of six (and one possibly on the way), you must train up a child in the way he/she should go. So, Tip brought his boys along to help hand out the turkeys. He said on Instagram, “Start em young... Make em Solid!!! To live above average is to accept the responsibility of giving back to those who live below average. Been blessed to be able to do so for 12yrs... #GodisGreat #FamilyHustle #HustleGangOverErrrthang” Nice!
Another rapper giving back...

“I honestly challenge the celebrities. We think about ourselves all the time and take everything for granted,” he wrote along with a video he posted. “Driving nice cars, jewelry, pretending to be something we aren’t. Let’s give back because it’s the right thing to do.”
He also sent thanks to his “big bro” 50 Cent, who grew up in South Jamaica, Queens – for helping him get everything arranged.
Fresh from her 7-city tour, R&B singer Sevyn Streeter traveled to her hometown of Polk County, Florida to hand out 200 turkeys to people in need. She teamed up with professional boxer Andre Berto, who recently fought against Floyd Mayweather, to spread good cheer to the folks in their hometown.
In L.A....R&B crooner Miguel and his longtime girlfriend Nazanin Mandi got to work boxing up food for the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.
On Instagram, Miguel shared a startling fact about starvation saying, “Did you know that 1 in 6 in Los Angeles go hungry everyday? There's so much that needs to be done man, happy we could help a little w @lafoodbank. They're one of the top 3 in the country ensuring 97 cents of every dollar actually goes to feeding those in need here in LA! @nazaninmandi @torrishack”
HAPPY THANKSGIVING ALL!
EMPIRE FANS DID YOU KNOW: FOX Initially Tried To Disqualify John Singleton From Directing Empire
Diversity in Hollywood is an ongoing battle, a subject that is currently the hot button issue in the culture.
When it comes to the predominately Black, pro-Hip-Hop sensation that is Empire, apparently having an impressive résumé isn’t enough to whittle down the race barriers.
Variety recently profiled Ilene Chaiken of The L-Word fame and she gave insight on how John Singleton was initially given the runaround when it came time to direct his high-rated Empire episode, “Dangerous Bonds” during the first season.
“The initial response was the kind of automatic response, which is ‘We can’t, he’s never done it before. He doesn’t know how,’” she said the network told the team after Singleton had been personally recommended by Empire creator Lee Daniels.
“It’s that classic Catch-22 that plagues us in the television business,” said Chaiken. “You can’t do [TV] unless you’ve already done it.” Eventually he convinced them. “He went through a series of interviews and went about making everybody comfortable in the way he made me comfortable, and then we gave him that opportunity that doesn’t usually get given,” Chaiken recalls. “But it absolutely takes advocacy.”
In 1991, Singleton became the youngest director and first African-American to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Director due to his cinematic Boyz n the Hood feature. His filmography largely consists of provocative movies that circulate around African-American culture and he has a previously worked with several of the Empire cast members, including its biggest star in Taraji P. Henson. But like Chaiken concluded, the TV game plays by its own set of rules.

The rapper is scheduled to appear on "Love and Hip Hop: New York."
Remy Ma took to Instagram (the post is now deleted) to share her thoughts on her standing in Rap history.
"None of these Rap chicks ever, whether they're past, present or future could [fuck] with me," she says in a video post from an interview for Love and Hip Hop: New York. "I say exactly what I feel whenever I feel like it and most of the time, no one says anything about it."
Remy Ma was released from prison last year after being sentenced in 2008 to eight years for shooting an associate. GURL BYE!!!!!! It’s CUTE and that’s about it!
Rapper Lil Boosie Says He Has Kidney Cancer
What A Change a WEEK MAKES! Lil Boosie last week was complaining about Gays on TV, Now he is asking fans to pray for him because he was diagnosed with kidney cancer.
The Louisiana rapper shared the news on Instagram, saying, “prayer is power that’s why I’m letting the world know.”
However, TMZ is reporting that the announcement was a surprise to his team. They were not happy about the reveal, which is why the caption was deleted shortly after the initial posting.
Boosie, 33, has reportedly been living with diabetes for years.
He was released from prison last year following a 5-year bid on a drug charge. And just to thionk he was complaining about Gays on TV. Me thinks he needs to forget about the gays. He has a bigger battle to deal. Hope you get well!
Tracy Morgan Gets Emotional About His 2nd Chance In GQ!
After almost losing his life in fatal automobile accident on the New Jersey Turnpike over a year ago, funnyman Tracy Morgan is ready to get back to his first love and what he credits for saving his life: Comedy.
In a very emotional and candid interview, the 47-year-old comedian talks to GQ magazine inside of his brand-new $14 million house about everything he has been through since that unexpected night that took the life of his close friend and comedian James “Jimmy Mack” McNair.
Since the accident, Walmart stepped up and took full responsibility and agreed to pay Tracy an undisclosed amount to settle. (“Let’s just say Walmart stepped up, for me and for Jimmy’s kids, and I’m very happy.”)
It has been a very long road to recovery, but thanks to his new wife Megan Wollover, his daughter Maven Morgan, comedy and “people who care,” Tracy is ready to make his triumphant return. And BRING it like never before.
With his new lease on life, the former 30 Rock comedian opens up his drug dealing past and how grateful he is to have another chance at life. As he talks about his ordeal he ends up getting super emotional which almost had us in tears just reading it. But, he wouldn’t be Tracy if he didn’t have a few laughable moments sprinkled in between….like when he talked about getting his wife pregnant again. Ha!
Below are a few highlights from his honest interview:
GQ: So, how are you?
I’m here. There’s a gift that God gave me to get me through all the ups and the downs in my life, and this tragic accident and all that. I’ve made people laugh along the way while I’ve recovered—little giggles, big laughs, outburst laughs—because that’s my nature.
Did you learn something in the recovery process that hadn’t occurred to you before?
Yeah: People care. People care a lot, that’s what I learned. People care. There’s so much negativity in the world that sometimes you feel like you could give up, and I had people who took care of me after the accident, and they never let me go. I feel it nowadays when I’m in the streets, when people say, “We love you. We miss you. We pray for you. We are so thankful that you’re on your feet.”
After days in a coma, what’s the first thing you remember when you came out?
I don’t remember none of that stuff.…
Nothing at all?
No, you don’t want to. My brain doctors all say, “You don’t want to remember that.” It’s something in your brain that is protecting you.
Your wife, Megan, made a mix that she played for you when you were in the coma—what was on it?
Everything. A lot of old-school R&B. “Do the Hustle.” She said in my coma I did the hustle all night long with no bullshit going on, just the hustle all night long. It was all the music that I loved to listen to: Sly and the Family Stone; Michael Jackson, because I’m the biggest Michael Jackson fan; Prince, I’m the biggest Prince fan; Stephanie Mills; old-school hip-hop. She put the O’Jays on, and it just kept playing for two weeks straight. She’s trying to bring her man back, to come home, and one day I came home.
And now you’re married.
I’ve got a dime. Oh yeah, she’s a dime, my wife is gorgeous, fucking dime piece. A million women in the world can’t fuck with that—she ain’t five pennies and a nickel, she ain’t ten pennies. She’s a fucking dime! And I know it. I’ve got a fetish for my wife. When I leave here, I’ll go on and get her pregnant. You know me: I’m old-school. I don’t use no rubbers, and I don’t pull out. “Tracy, stop, pull out!” I said who, what, when, where, why, for…whoops! Now my daughter’s here. Life is good, God is great. Can’t turn that funny off, it is what it is.
When you first came out…
I wasn’t in a good place. I didn’t get into a good place until maybe ten months later. I started to remember and think and all of that stuff. They taught me how to walk again, and stand up and sit up again, and it was really painful for a long time. I did therapists, did cognitive what do they call it? Did cognitive therapy. Still doing it.… That therapy, the psychiatrist had to keep going back to see me. People look at you like you…excuse me… [He gets emotional.]
Yeah, no, it’s scary....
I’m here. And—always been spiritual. Physical death is so permanent, so final, but when we are on a spiritual level, that means we transcend. Yoko Ono said it best when John Lennon died. She allowed herself to grieve. Grieve. Grieve a few months. I don’t feel sorry for Jimmy. Jimmy was a good man—I know he home. We still dealing with this shit down here. Jimmy’s home. Jimmy’s with us. He wasn’t a sorry person. He was a good man, I know he with God, I don’t even worry about that.
Will the comedy be different?
I think it will be deeper, I think it is going to be funnier—but who knows? I want to see the funny for myself—let’s check it out. Take it out for a test-drive. I’m going to take my sense of humor to the next level, my life. But right now, that’s all I look forward to: that first laughter. Will Ferrell told me, “You know how much a polar bear weighs? Enough to break the ice.” See, that’s good. Break the ice, then buckle up, and let’s enjoy the fucking ride. Buckle up, kids, it’s about to get wild and woolly! I faced death and all that shit. It’s my responsibility to come back and come back strong. It’s going to take more than a Walmart truck to take that gift away. I can’t wait to make you all laugh. Especially you, Mike. And I already did that today. So all is good.
You can read his full interview here.
