#MAGFAB: Cynthia Erivo for Elle UK Feb 2025
She looks great!
Although Phaedra Parks was one of the biggest reality stars of 2024, some folks don’t love what she’s bringing to Married to Medicine. That includes some of her castmates, who feel like she isn’t bringing anything to the table.
During Married to Medicine Season 11, Episode 4, Toya Bush-Harris held Phaedra’s feet to the fire for not sharing enough of in the group. Phedara, on the other hand, shared a completely different perspective.
Is Phaedra Parks phoning it in on Married to Medicine?
The Married to Medicine ladies had just kicked off Season 11’s first cast trip when Toya started pressing Phaedra about her lack of transparency on the show. According to Toya, she’s hardly learned anything about the Real Housewives of Atlanta alum in the two seasons she’s been on this show. She thinks Phaedra is intentionally trying to keep her friendships surface-level.
“You know what I would love, Phaedra? We’ve been around you for about a year, but I don’t feel like we know enough,” Toya told Phaedra.
“What makes you tick? Like, what pisses you off?” Toya pressed. “We all have that moment, so I’m just curious. What’s that moment for you? Give me an example.”
After a moment of silence, Phaedra couldn’t come up with an example. Obviously, that gave Toya an opening to continue laying into her. If you read between the lines, Toya really just wants Phaedra to earn her paycheck. There are no participation trophies on this show.
Toya asked, “You brought us on this girls’ trip for us to all open up. When are you?”
Further proving Toya’s point, Phaedra didn’t have much to say in the moment. She claimed that she had “great conversations” with “numerous” people in the group. In a confessional, she shared a more direct response that seemed a little more on-brand for one of RHOA’s greatest shade assassins.
“You know, I’m not playing tennis every day. I’m a woman of many careers and many accolades,” Phaedra explained from the privacy of the confessional chair. “So, I don’t know if Toya is nosy and messy, or if she just needs something to do.”
Married to Medicine returns Sunday, January 5, 2025 at 9/8c on Bravo.

Questlove’s Sly & The Family Stone documentary will be unveiled next year.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, SLY LIVES! (aka The Burden of Black Genius) will be premiering at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival. A synopsis of the documentary, courtesy of the outlet, reads as follows:
“An examination of the life and legacy of Sly & The Family Stone — the groundbreaking band led by the charismatic and enigmatic Sly Stone — captures the band’s rise, reign, and subsequent fadeout while shedding light on the unseen burden that comes with success for Black artists in America.”
Questlove had first announced the documentary in 2021.
"It goes beyond saying that Sly’s creative legacy is in my DNA," The Roots drummer said in a statement at the time. "It’s a Black musician’s blueprint. To be given the honor to explore his history and legacy is beyond a dream for me."
SLY LIVES! Serves as the follow-up to Quest’s directorial debut, the documentary Summer of Soul. The documentary received the Grammy for Best Music Film in 2022.
Along with the Sly documentary, a memoir on the influential artist, titled Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin), was released last year. The book was released on Questlove’s AUWA Books, a publishing imprint of MCD/FSG.
"For as long as I can remember folks have been asking me to tell my story, I wasn’t ready," Sly said in a statement ahead of the book’s release that year. "I had to be in a new frame of mind to become Sylvester Stewart again to tell the true story of Sly Stone. It’s been a wild ride and hopefully my fans enjoy it too."

#HipHopNews: It Looks Like Drake Is Working On New Music
On Thursday night (Dec. 19), Drizzy shared a post on Instagram, which seems to foreshadow new music is on the way. The carousel of photos is captioned "Strong winds from the North." The first photo shows Drake sitting at a table at a restaurant. The second pic shows a man listening to music in what appears to be a subway, followed by multiple nature pics. The final photo shows who appears to be Drake's right-hand producer, 40, sitting behind a laptop producing a track in front of a lit chimney.
Drake hasn't put out an album this year after releasing projects in 2021, 2022 and 2023. Over the summer, he announced he had a collab album with PartyNextDoor that would be dropping this fall.
"On behalf of me and Party, we’ve been working on something for y'all," Aubrey told the crowd at PND's Sorry I'm Outside Tour stop in Toronto. "So, you get the summer over with, do what you need to do. I know all you girls are outside. When it gets a little chilly, PartyNextDoor and Drake album will be waiting right there for you."
Last month, PND gave an update on the joint project, telling fans the LP is "getting finished." No official release date has been announced.
Despite not dropping an album, Drake was the most streamed rapper on Spotify in the U.S. and globally in 2024. He is currently prepping the Anita Max Win Tour, which begins in February.

Jason Derulo appeared to have shown that he remains on good terms with his former girlfriend. The "Whatcha Say" hitmaker put on a united front with Jena Frumes during a fun day out with their son Jason King.
In a series of pictures that made their rounds online on Wednesday, December 24, it could be seen that the 35-year-old singer/songwriter was out and about in Miami Beach, Florida. He stepped out with his 31-year-old ex-flame and their 3-year-old son.
Jason, Jena and their son were photographed making their way to the beach. As the former couple walked close to each other, their beloved child was next to him as they held hands. They also appeared to have had a nice conversation along the way to the tourist destination in the city.
Some of the photos captured Jena accompanying Jason King play on the sand. He was pictured seemingly burying one of his feet with the help of his mother. At that time, the singer was not seen around the two.
For the relaxing outing on the sunny day, Jason sported a short-sleeved black tee that came with a high neck design. To add a color variation to the look, he wore a pair of black shorts that featured pink-and-green graphics.
Jason completed the look with a pair of high black Nike socks and neon sneakers. His short hair was hidden inside his black hat. To shield his eyes from the harsh direct sunlight, he put on a pair of black sunglasses.
As for Jena, the YouTuber looked stunning in an orange bra top and a pair of matching undies. Over them, she donned a short-sleeved colorful outer. She also rocked a pair of white slides and a matching scrunchie. She accessorized herself with a gold bracelet, necklace, ring, a pair of earrings and dark shades. In addition, her long blonde locks were styled in curls and let loose.
Jason and Jena started their romantic relationship back in March 2020. The two welcomed Jason King in May 2021. Three months later, they ended their romance allegedly due to infidelity. Since then, they have remained on good terms to co-parent their son.

Tyler Perry and Kerry Washington, longtime friends and collaborators, recently discussed the importance of deep, meaningful connections in the often-cutthroat world of Hollywood.
"This business is so short-sighted and selfish," Perry explains. "To have a long-lasting friendship, you need to lean in, really listen, and check in with each other."
Washington agrees, emphasizing the need to be honest and genuine. "When you ask me how I am, you ask again and again," she says. "Because you look past the mask and want to know what's truly going on."
Perry emphasizes the value of keeping secrets and maintaining trust. "Hold people's confidence sacredly," he advises. "This is something many of us lack in this industry."
Beyond confidentiality, Perry and Washington highlight the importance of support and validation. "When I saw you on set, I was inspired by your elegant leadership," Washington says to Perry. "You created a space for me to process and navigate my career journey."
Their friendship has endured because they have prioritized authenticity, vulnerability, and unwavering support. As Perry directed Washington in Netflix's historical drama "The Six Triple Eight," their connection deepened.
"The beauty of working with you was having the opportunity to see the beautiful soul that you are," Perry says to Washington.
Washington reflects on the challenges of navigating fame through the lens of their friendship. "You saw the rocket ship I was on and held space for me to embrace it," she shares. "You encouraged me to celebrate the joys and not just stress over the challenges."
Perry and Washington's insights offer valuable guidance for building and maintaining lasting friendships in the demanding and often isolating world of entertainment.

Former "Grey's Anatomy" star Jesse Williams and his ex-wife, Aryn Drake-Lee, are facing off in court over modifications to their custody agreement and Williams' demands for information about her new partner.
According to court documents obtained by In Touch, Williams, 43, and Drake-Lee, 43, have been ordered to attempt to resolve their issues through mediation. If they are unable to do so, they will both have to appear for a videoconference on March 10, 2025.
The exes, who settled their divorce in 2019, share two children: Sadie, born in 2013, and Maceo, born in 2015. Williams has requested that the current custody schedule be changed to 50/50, rather than the one or two overnight visits he currently gets when school is in session.
Williams argues that the current arrangement is confusing and challenging for the children, and that he has a close bond with them. He also claims that Drake-Lee has been "wildly controlling and restrictive" of his time with the children since they filed for divorce.
In his declaration, Williams also claims that Drake-Lee refused to answer over 90% of his court-ordered FaceTime calls to the children for years. He says that while he was working in Italy for four months, "Aryn ignored nearly all of my calls."
Williams has also asked that Drake-Lee be forced to provide information about her new boyfriend, including when they started dating and when she first introduced him to their children. He claims that Drake-Lee has given him limited information, and he is concerned about the children's safety.
For her part, Drake-Lee has denied most of Williams' requests. She claims that there is no good cause for modifying the current custody agreement and that Williams is using his attorneys to bully her.
In regard to her romantic partner, Drake-Lee says that she has shared all the information required by their divorce settlement and that Williams' demands for additional information are harassment and bullying.
"[Jesse] is out of bounds demanding additional information that isn't ordered, especially considering that he hasn't provided this same information related to any of his personal situations in turn," she explained.
She argues that Williams does not currently take advantage of the time he has been granted with the children and that "children belong with the available parent" because Jesse "doesn't have regular work."

He also referred to his meeting earlier in the year with D-Day veterans at an event marking the 80th anniversary of the turning point of World War II. He said of his encounters with the now elderly soldiers: “It touched us deeply… their tradition of service and selflessness continue to inspire.”

Young Thug Issues Public Apology to Mariah the Scientist Following Messy Jail Call Leaks
Young Thug has publicly apologized to singer Mariah the Scientist following the resurfacing of his jail calls, which revealed intimate details about his relationships with other women.
The rapper, recently freed from jail after fighting Rico charges, issued the apology on Twitter Tuesday night after facing backlash over his candid comments.
“Sorry to my baby for all this bulls**t on the internet. I love u baby and f**k em all we know what’s up with us,” he wrote in one tweet.
In one of the leaked calls earlier this week, Thug admitted to speaking with “at least ten women a day” while behind bars. Though he spoke highly of Mariah, acknowledging that “she loves me for real,” he also expressed concern about her loving him “too much.” Another call showcased his tight bond with Leena Sayed, the baby mama of boxer Devin Haney. She broke down in tears while telling Thug how much she only wanted to be with him. He denied they were romantically involved.
Fans of both artists have expressed mixed reactions, with some praising Young Thug for taking accountability and others criticizing the initial behavior. Mariah has not commented on the situation, though the subject matter could make its way into some of her new music.

Allison Holker shares her three children—Weslie Renae, 16, Maddox Laurel, 8, and Zaia, 4—with her late husband, Stephen "tWitch" Boss, while Adam Edmunds, who tends to keep his family life private, occasionally shares glimpses of his son, Cole, on social media.

Amidst the group photos, Holker and Edmunds also shared a sweet moment together, posing for a photo where Edmunds wrapped his arm protectively around Holker's shoulders, while she rested her hand gently on his chest. The couple’s visit to Disneyland marks an important milestone in their relationship as they continue to build memories with their combined families.
After sparking romance rumors earlier this year, Allison Holker made her relationship with tech CEO Adam Edmunds public during a glamorous appearance at New York Fashion Week on September 7.
Following the news, Holker opened up about the heartfelt experience of introducing Edmunds to her children during a fun-filled day at Universal Studios. Speaking with People Magazine, Holker shared her emotional journey in navigating love again after the loss of her late husband, Stephen "tWitch" Boss.
"It is a new experience for me to navigate this, and it took a lot of time for me to [feel ready]. I didn't know if I'd ever fall into this situation again," she said. "I will say this: I'm extremely happy. I feel supported, seen, understood, and fully loved. And I'm really, really grateful for that."
“It was really fun. And we just shared a lot of laughter and a lot of memories, and it was actually a really fun way to start out,” the professional dancer added.

Get ready Kids! ‘Bluey’ is headed to the Big Screen in 2027
The Bluey movie is go. After months of speculation, the global TV kids phenomenon is heading to the big screen in 2027 under a deal struck by Disney and BBC Studios. Disney has global theatrical and streaming rights.
Written and directed by Bluey creator Joe Brumm, the film is a Ludo Studio production. Brumm announced that he was stepping away from the TV series to make the film. The TV series will continue without him.
The Australian series chronicles the life of blue heeler dog, Bluey, and her family: Mom Chilli, Dad Bandit, and sister Bingo. The show has captured the world’s imagination with its charming, funny, and relatable observations about everyday family life.
“I’ve always thought Bluey deserved a theatrical movie. I want this to be an experiential event for the whole family to enjoy together,” Brumm said.
Alan Bergman and Dana Walden, co-chairmen Disney Entertainment, said: “Since its debut on Disney Jr. and Disney+, Bluey has become a global phenomenon, uniting families everywhere with its heartfelt stories of play, imagination and connection.”
BBC Studios CEO Tom Fussell added that Bluey is “some of the most popular IP in the world” and a “feature-length film was the natural next step.”
Disney will release the Bluey movie in theaters worldwide, followed by streaming on Disney+. It will also air on ABC iView and ABC Kids in Australia post-theatrical release.
The film will be produced by Amber Naismith (Happy Feet), with Richard Jeffery returning to co-direct. Brumm is executive producer, with Charlie Aspinwall and Daley Pearson from Ludo Studio, alongside Justine Flynn for BBC Studios. For Disney, the film will be overseen by David Greenbaum, president of Disney Live Action and 20th Century Studios.
BBC Studios is financing and licensing the picture for distribution. Post-production funding is from the Australian government through the Producer Offset and Screen Australia, and support from the Queensland Government through Screen Queensland’s Post, Digital, and Visual Effects Incentive.
Commenting on his decision to focus on the movie, Brumm said: “After some time spent away from the series, working on another project, an old idea resurfaced and before I knew it, I’d written a Bluey feature script that I really love. Fast forward through a tonne of contracting and we’re about to embark on making an animated Bluey movie.
“I always said I wouldn’t keep making the show if I thought I couldn’t make any new season as good as the last. This would have been the case for me with a potential season four, so I’ve decided to take a break from my involvement in the TV series. In the event I can’t wrap my head around doing more seasons myself, The Sign will mark my TV finale for Bluey and I wrote it as such.”
The Sign premiered on Disney+ in April this year and the extended episode generated 10.4M views, making it the most-viewed Disney Junior episode premiere ever.

KFC Debuts New “Saucy” Restaurant for Chicken Tenders Lovers
KFC is taking their love for fried chicken to a new level! On Monday, the fast-food chain launched its brand-new restaurant “Saucy” in Orlando, Florida. Despite KFC being known for its fried chicken, nuggets, and sandwiches, “Saucy” focuses on crispy chicken tenders. However, these aren’t just ordinary tenders. At Saucy, customers can customize their tenders with 11 signature sauces, which is a nod to KFC’s legendary 11 herbs and spices used for its chicken recipe.
The sauce selection offers a wide variety that can satisfy any taste bud. Starting with sweet and saucy BBQ, saucy ranch, and creole honey mustard, these flavors are perfect for traditionalists who like to keep simple. For ranch lovers who appreciate a creative creation, chimichurri ranch, peri peri ranch, jalapeno pesto ranch, and smokey bacon ranch will be the right stop to gain that certain flavor kick. But, if you are into bold and international flavors, check out the Thai sweet and spicy, spicy mango chutney, and sweet teriyaki sauces.
Additionally, these tenders can be paired with tasty sides including toasted Hawaiian rolls, crinkle-cut fries, and KFC’s signature coleslaw. To top it off, the menu features chicken tender-based sandwiches, like the original crispy chicken sandwich and the spicy queso crunch sandwich. Customers can also snag a sweet treat with options like chocolate mousse cake and key lime cake.
Nonetheless, apart of its new and innovative menu, Saucy is reportedly aimed to serve as a community hub, offering live entertainment to create an inviting atmosphere for guests. Even though KFC has not disclosed any specific details about the locations, the fast-food giant plans to rollout more Saucy spots across the U.S. in the future.

Colorado Courthouse Designated National Landmark As Location Of First Same-Sex Marriage Licenses In 1975
The historic Boulder County Courthouse has been designated a National Historic Landmark, recognizing its pivotal role in advancing LGBTQ+ rights in the United States.
The courthouse became a beacon of equality and justice in 1975 when Boulder County Clerk Clela Rorex issued the first same-sex marriage license in the nation.
On March 26, 1975, Clerk Rorex consulted the Assistant District Attorney to confirm there were no Colorado laws prohibiting marriage between individuals of the same sex.
With no legal barriers identified, Rorex courageously issued the license, stating years later, “After having been so deeply involved in the women’s rights movements, who was I to then deny a right to anyone else? It wasn’t my job to legislate morality.”
This act of courage ignited a nationwide conversation about marriage equality and cemented the courthouse’s role as a symbol of hope and progress for the LGBTQ+ community.
Within weeks, Rorex issued five more same-sex marriage licenses, and news outlets across the country spotlighted Boulder as a trailblazer for civil rights.
Boulder County boasts a diverse and thriving LGBTQ+ community, whose contributions enrich the cultural fabric of the area.
Honoring the courthouse with National Historic Landmark status celebrates this legacy and reaffirms the nation’s commitment to justice, equality, and inclusion.
