In the limited series, Chloe will introduce fans to Lena Mosley, “a young waitress stifled between weighing who gets to live, and who gets to die.”
Chloe’s part of an all-star cast that includes Kevin Hart, Samuel L. Jackson, Terrence Howard, Don Cheadle, and Taraji P. Henson, who gave her some helpful tips.
“A piece of advice that stuck with me during filming, Taraji, she told me … ‘Find your light, pay attention, and find your light’ like where the lighting angles are coming from,” she told HB.
Bailey, who cut her acting chops in movies like The Fighting Temptations, and her most recent appearance in Donald Glover’s Swarm, admitted she was anxious before filming.
“I was nervous because that’s Taraji and we’ve seen each other in passing and stuff, but we’ve never worked together. So knowing that I got to have that opportunity, I was like, I hope I can step up to the plate and hold my own. And she made me feel comfortable and warm and loved, and I have to truly say the same about Samuel L. Jackson,” she continued.

Despite that, she’s in no rush to start a family as the Auntie role suits her just fine.
“Sometimes we get pressured by society,” said Chloe. “I just turned 26 and sometimes they’re like, ‘You have to settle down and have kids and do that.’ But I’m like, I can have a little bit more time because I have the best nephew in the world, and it’s like I get best of both worlds,” she said.

#RHOA: NeNe Leakes’ Son Bryson Bryant Caught in Bodycam Footage Giving His Brother’s Name During 2023 Arrest
Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes’ son Bryson Bryant was caught on police bodycam telling officers he was his younger brother Brentt Leakes during his 2023 arrest.
In Touch obtained the footage from Bryson’s arrest on July 3, 2023, where he was taken into custody over possession of fentanyl.
Officers were called out to a neighborhood where they saw Bryson, 34, walking around in the early morning.
The police drove up on Bryson who asked them “What did I do?” repeatedly. The police had Bryson sit down on the ground and started asking him questions.
When asked his last name, Bryson told the officer it was Leakes.
He then told the officer his first name was Brentt.
Later, Bryson was asked for the spelling of his name and his date of birth.
He provided his younger brother’s name once again and said his birthday was February 20, 1999. Brentt’s birthday is February 22, 1999.
Police said they saw a bag of white powder in Bryson’s parked car which led to them searching his vehicle. A test determined the powder was fentanyl.
Bryson told the police he had no idea it was fentanyl. After his arrest, Bryson was hit with an additional charge for giving a false name to officers.
NeNe’s son spent a couple of months behind bars due to the arrest triggering a probation violation in a separate case.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges stemming from his 2023 arrest. In April, a plea deal was reached where Bryson avoided additional jail time.
The court sentenced him to 12 months of probation and ordered him to pay a fine.
Bryson will have to submit to random drug testing and undergo an evaluation and/or treatment for substance abuse.
Bryson’s attorney, Dominko C. Rumph, tells In Touch, “Mr. Bryant’s criminal case was resolved in May of 2024 via a misdemeanor guilty plea to Giving a False Name.” After reviewing the evidence presented by the State during discovery, it was determined that police likely did not have reasonable articulable suspicion to conduct the traffic stop that is shown in the body camera footage," he continued.
Dominko added, “After negotiating with the District Attorney’s Office, the State and the defense ultimately agreed that there was a high probability that the case would be dismissed if it were to proceed to a hearing on a Motion to Suppress. Although we are aware of the statements by Mr. Bryant as shown in the body camera footage, we cannot speak to the veracity of the statements. We can emphatically state that the statements had no bearing on the ultimate resolution of Mr. Bryant’s case.”
He ended, “Mr. Bryant is not a witness in any ongoing criminal matters nor are we aware of any subsequent investigations, arrests, or prosecutions conducted in connection with the statements made by Mr. Bryant during his interaction with police.”
NeNe spoke about her son’s issues following his arrest on Carlos King's podcast. She said, "I spoke to him on the phone, I think he's doing OK."
"He needs rehabilitation," she said. "He needs a lot of counseling. Like many families out there, I have family members that are struggling with drugs and certain addictions. He has an addiction. He's been struggling with it for years. He's been in rehab for a couple of times and he still has come back out and relapsed."
"As a mom just to watch it, my hands are tied," she added.
"[There's] not much that I can do. For people who have had children or family members that have been on drugs, they know that they have to be ready. They have to simply be ready," NeNe added. "I’ve spent so much money on trying to get Bryson where he needs to be."
"But every time I've sent him off is because I said, ‘You are getting your ass up and we are sending you off.’ But I learned through counseling myself that he has to say, ‘I’m ready to go,’ not me making him go. So until Bryson is ready to make a change, [there’s] nothing I [can] do."

Announced on Thursday (Aug. 8), Usher is set to be honored at the Black Music Action Coalition’s (BMAC) 2024 gala alongside the likes of LL COOL J and Live Nation.
The R&B legend will receive the highly coveted Quincy Jones Humanitarian Award at the event, scheduled for Sept. 19 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles. It will add to his long list of accomplishments, having recently earned the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2024 BET Awards.
“We’re thrilled to celebrate this year’s honorees who have utilized their talents, platforms, and resources to create a positive and meaningful impact in social and racial justice globally,” BMAC co-founder and CEO Willie “Prophet” Stiggers said, per Billboard.
He continued, “This year’s gala comes at a pivotal time for our industry and country. It is more important than ever to recognize these incredible accomplishments and unite the entertainment industry to use our collective voice in inspiring imperative change.”
Meanwhile, LL COOL J, who will be taking home the Clarence Avant Trailblazer Award, expressed his gratitude. “To be receiving this award from an organization that is making such big moves for racial equity and justice within the music industry is an honor,” he shared.
Other honorees at the 2024 BMAC Gala include BET Media Group’s Scott Mills, Louis Carr, Constance Orlando, and Kimberly Paige, as well as BeyGOOD Executive Director Ivy McGregor.

#ParisOlympics2024: Team USA’s men’s basketball wins GOLD at the Olympics!
Team USA’s men’s basketball team has won against France, beating them 98-87 in the final at the Paris Games on Saturday night. This is the fifth consecutive win for Team USA’s men’s basketball team in the Olympics with Steph Curry leading the team to victory.
Curry’s four 3-pointers in the final 2 minutes of the game finalized the win for Team USA with only 1:19 remaining. This is the 17th in 20 all-time appearances for the Americans at the games.
Team USA’s ability to shoot and land 3-pointers made the difference—50% (18-for36) from the U.S. and only 30% (9-for-30) for France from behind the arc.

American gymnast Jordan Chiles’ bronze medal in floor exercise in doubt after CAS ruling
The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) ruled on Saturday that the initial inquiry made by the USA over Jordan Chiles’ score in Monday’s gymnastics floor exercise final was filed after the one-minute deadline.
That means that Chiles’ score is being reverted to the original 13.666, which was only good enough for fifth place. It’s unclear as of Saturday what that means for the bronze medal that Chiles was awarded.
The competition on Monday ended in dramatic fashion. Immediately after the competition finished on Monday with Chiles’ routine, Romanian gymnast Ana Bărbosu thought she had won the bronze medal after posting a score of 13.700. Chiles had initially posted a score of 13.666 but her coaches successfully challenged the difficulty score which added 0.1 to her score and moved her up to third, behind gold medalist Rebeca Andrade and American Simone Biles.
Their appearance together on the first all-Black Olympics gymnastics podium produced one of the most iconic images of the Games as the Americans bowed down to Andrade.
However, CAS ruled that the inquiry submitted on behalf of Chiles “was raised after the conclusion of the one-minute deadline” stipulated in the regulations and “is determined to be without effect.”

He added, “And the fact that hundreds of millions of viewers from all over the world were, like us Romanians, effectively shocked by this terrible scene, shows that somewhere, in the system of organizing this competition, something is wrong.”
Chiles posted on her Instagram story, four breaking hearts emojis and “I am taking this time and removing myself from social media for my mental health thank you.”
That means that Chiles’ score is being reverted to the original 13.666, which was only good enough for fifth place. It’s unclear as of Saturday what that means for the bronze medal that Chiles was awarded.
The competition on Monday ended in dramatic fashion. Immediately after the competition finished on Monday with Chiles’ routine, Romanian gymnast Ana Bărbosu thought she had won the bronze medal after posting a score of 13.700. Chiles had initially posted a score of 13.666 but her coaches successfully challenged the difficulty score which added 0.1 to her score and moved her up to third, behind gold medalist Rebeca Andrade and American Simone Biles.
Their appearance together on the first all-Black Olympics gymnastics podium produced one of the most iconic images of the Games as the Americans bowed down to Andrade.
However, CAS ruled that the inquiry submitted on behalf of Chiles “was raised after the conclusion of the one-minute deadline” stipulated in the regulations and “is determined to be without effect.”

During a recent interview, he explained that he felt “protected” from homophobia in public after appearing in the show.
While on the Dinner’s on Me podcast, Jesse recalled being “gay bashed” once in Las Vegas before the show aired.
“It wasn’t anything violent, but it was definitely like, there was negative energy coming at me from a couple that felt uncomfortable around me and my then-boyfriend,” he explained of the situation, via Deadline.
After the show went on air, he said that he returned to Vegas and remembered “feeling that same negativity initially.”
“But then they would see who it was and they would recognize me from being, ‘Oh, I am gay, but I’m also that gay one from TV and I like that show,’ and there would be a change,” he said.

Ten-time Olympic medalist Carl Lewis recently weighed in on some of the conversation surrounding gymnast Simone Biles’ greatness.
The former track and field star is one of the most decorated Olympians in American history. He won four gold medals in the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games, two gold and one silver in the 1988 Seoul Olympics, two golds in the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, and another gold in Atlanta in 1996. A winner in the 100 meters, 200 meters, 4×100 relay, and winner four consecutive gold medals in the long jump, his exploits have garnered him titles such as “World Athlete of the Century,” Olympian of the Century,” or “Sportsman of the Century.” However, he’s not generally called the GOAT (Greatest Of All Time).
With 11 Olympic medals, Simone Biles leaves the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris as the most decorated gymnast in the United States. Her redemption run in Paris came to an end on Aug. 5, when she took silver in the floor exercise. Biles bowed out of the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, citing her mental health. But she added to her storied legacy this summer by winning gold in the team, all-around, and vault competition.
Biles was widely considered the gymnastics GOAT long before she made the trip to Paris, and she highlighted her position in the sport’s lore by showing off a GOAT necklace on Aug. 1.
But Lewis, an all-time great in his own right, has grown tired of how casually the title “Greatest of All Time” is thrown around.
“It’s really funny. We never used the word GOAT until like 20 years ago,” Lewis told Essentially Sports when he was asked during a recent interview in Paris to share his opinion on whether he considers himself or anyone else the GOAT of the Olympics. “Now, everyone’s a GOAT. “I also don’t get into comparing eras because you compete against the people you run against. I’m more marveled at the great athletes here and their stories.”
