#MAGFAB: Actress Blake Lively covers VOGUE’s September Issue!
For VOGUE’s September 2024 issue, Blake Lively stars as “The Cat” alongside Hugh Jackman as L’Ombre, in Baz Luhrmann’s Hitchcock-inspired VOGUE fantasia, “The Heist of the Heart.”

Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist Andrew Sean Greer met with Lively on location in Rome during production on the as-yet-untitled sequel to “A Simple Favor” to discuss fame, motherhood, becoming a glamorous jewel thief for Baz Luhrmann, and more.
“My life has become more intimate,” she explains, meaning she has been focused on her young children in recent years, and taking fewer movie roles. “But when they said Baz will do it, I thought, Okay, I’ve always wanted to work with Baz. Even if it’s just a week doing a photo shoot for Vogue, that’s still working with him. Seeing through his lens and how he tells stories.” She smiles, and with a little laugh adds: “Gracing these pages is not my gift to the world. I understand I’m lucky to do it.”

VOGUE’s September 2024 issue is available on newsstands nationwide on August 20.

#RHOA: Porsha Williams Accuses Estranged Husband Simon Guobadia of Violating Prenup Amid Divorce Battle!
Porsha Williams’ return to Real Housewives of Atlanta has hit a bit of a snag. And that snag is her marriage to Simon Guobadia. The couple had a dubious timeline of their romance, which caused Porsha’s fellow peaches to chatter. Plus, Simon was still in the process of divorcing Porsha’s co-star, Falynn Pina, when the duo started dating. But now Porsha is back, and her divorce is going to be a very messy affair.

Porsha filed for divorce from Simon a mere 15 months after saying ‘I do.’ Then Simon blocked Porsha from filming for RHOA in their home.
Next, Simon wanted Porsha to answer some pressing questions. Some seem pertinent to the divorce filing. He asked to see all of her communications relating to her return to RHOA, and just how much cash she was pocketing. However, that was just the beginning.
Simon also wanted to know if Porsha only married him for his net worth, and if she thought that their prenuptial agreement seemed equitable. Then he swerved into a weird lane and wanted to know all about Porsha’s relationship with rapper Future. What?!

According to In Touch, Porsha has responded to Simon’s subpoenas regarding her finances. She alleged that her estranged husband violated their prenup. In legal documents, Porsha requested that the court not allow Simon to request any further information. And that includes her contract with Bravo. Porsha said in the documents that the prenup was signed “to avoid contested and expensive litigation, including the costly and potentially intrusive discovery process if an event of dissolution occurs.”
But Porsha wasn’t done. She stated that Simon made “false and salacious” claims in his legal documents “that are not rooted in reality … to cause irreparable harm” to her. She also requested an order to protect Simon’s court filings from leaking to the press.

Porsha’s lawyer, Randall Kessler said, “[Simon’s] motion [to compel mandatory and additional discovery] must be dismissed as it fails to state a claim for which relief can be granted.” He continued, “[Porsha] shows that [Simon’s] motion is wholly frivolous, and [Porsha] must be awarded any and all fees necessary to defend this baseless motion.”

The judge hasn’t issued a ruling yet. So, stay tuned!

#MusicNews: Check out Usher’s trailer for ‘RENDEZVOUS IN PARIS’!

Back in 2023, Usher blessed his fans with a two-week residency at Le Seine Musicale in Paris. Soon, those who were unable to attend (i.e. the majority of us) will be able to get an in-depth glimpse into what went down in the French capital.

Earlier today (Aug. 6), the Atlanta star unveiled a trailer for USHER: RENDEZVOUS IN PARIS, a concert film containing footage of the "My Boo” crooner in action during Paris Fashion Week. In addition to the live experience component, fans will also get to see Usher's life behind the scenes at the time. "I can’t wait for [you] to experience the music, costumes, lighting, dancing and skating on the big screen," he wrote in an Instagram post.

As REVOLT previously reported, Usher blessed the masses with a critically acclaimed Las Vegas residency that ran from 2022 to 2023 and consisted of a whopping 100 shows. Back in February, he became the latest artist to perform for the Super Bowl, joined by the likes of Jermaine Dupri, Ludacris, Lil Jon and Alicia Keys. Later this month, he will hop back on the road for his "Past Present Future" tour, which will stop in several North American and European cities until it ends in May 2025.

Presumably, much of Usher's new set will contain songs from his ninth studio LP, COMING HOME, a 20-song effort that boasted assists from Burna Boy, Latto, The-Dream, H.E.R., Jung Kook and more. The project's lead single, the Summer Walker and 21 Savage-assisted "Good Good," earned him a top 30 placement on the Billboard Hot 100 and peaked at No. 7 on the Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs chart.

#HipHopNews: Rapper Nelly is arrested and accused of having illegal drugs!
Rapper Nelly was arrested early Wednesday at a St. Louis-area casino, and the Missouri Highway Patrol said an officer found four illegal ecstasy pills on him. The rapper’s attorney said an “overzealous” officer targeted him and conducted an improper search.

The arrest occurred about 4:45 a.m., and Nelly, 49, was held and then released by police in Maryland Heights, Missouri, the patrol said in a brief online report. The St. Louis suburb is home to the Hollywood Casino and Hotel, and Nelly’s attorney, Scott Rosenblum said in a statement Wednesday evening that the rapper, who grew up in the area, visits it frequently.

Online Missouri court records show that Nelly, whose birth name is Cornell Haynes II, was cited in June 2018 in Maryland Heights with operating a vehicle without proper proof of insurance. A judge issued a warrant in December 2023, and it remained outstanding.
Rosenblum said Nelly had won several casino jackpots and when he sought to collect them, the officer who would have supervised the transaction “needlessly” ran a search for warrants. Once the officer found the outstanding warrant, he cuffed Nelly’s hands behind his back and “felt compelled” to “parade him through the casino in front of other customers,” Rosenblum said.

Nelly’s attorney called what the officer found “alleged ‘ecstasy’” and said the officer did not have probable cause to justify searching him. Nelly wasn’t notified of the warrant and did not know about it, Rosenblum said.
“I am 100% confident this case will go nowhere,” Rosenblum said. “And we will be asking for an inquiry into this officer’s conduct.”
The Highway Patrol’s report provided no details about the arrest, and Maryland Heights police did not respond to a call Wednesday seeking comment.

Rosenblum said that in similar circumstances, “any other citizen would have been told to address it and allowed to go on their way.”
Nelly, a three-time Grammy Award winner, is known for hits like “Hot in Herre” and “Just A Dream.” He’s had four No. 1 hits and received nine Billboard Music Awards. He recently wrapped up a series of performances with Janet Jackson as a special guest on her tour.

He won Grammy Awards in 2002 for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration and Best Male Solo Rap Performance, and his “Nellyville” was nominated that year for both Best Rap Album and Album of the Year. He also won a Grammy the following year for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group the following year for “Shake Ya Tailfeather.”

Beyond his recording career, Nelly has appeared in a number of films and television series, including the sports film “The Longest Yard” and a BET reality series featuring his family. The artist announced in April he was engaged to singer and actor Ashanti and the pair is expecting a baby.

‘A Different World’ Sequel In Development At Netflix
Deadline reports that an A Different World sequel is in development at Netflix, and writer Felicia Pride is attached to the project. Numerous original ADW creative team members are reportedly involved in the project, including Debbie Allen, Reggie Rock Bythewood, Gina Prince-Bythewood, and Tom Werner. All alumni mentioned will be included in the sequel as executive producers, along with Pride and Mandy Summers.

While the show is in the early stages of development, the sequel will reportedly focus on Dwayne Cleophus Wayne (played by Kadeem Hardison) and Whitley Gilbert-Wayne’s (portrayed by Jasmine Guy) youngest daughter, who is now a freshman at Hillman, her parents’ alma mater.
If you’re in the demographic responding to the news by saying, “Why can’t we get original series ideas like the original ADW was?” Well, you’re in for a surprise. A Different World debuted in September 1987, and was a spinoff of the uber-popular Cosby Show. A Different World initially focused on Denise Huxtable (played by Lisa Bonet) and explored her going out on her own to become a student at the fabled HBCU.

During that time, Bill Cosby was initially credited as the creator. After season 2, Allen was brought on, and she revamped the show’s focus. Bonet’s character was phased out and relegated to guest appearances beginning in season 3. The show then featured an ensemble cast assortment, with different characters playing lead depending on the episode. This cast included Lou Myers, Cree Summer, Charnele Brown, Darryl M. Bell, Glynn Turman, Dawnn Lewis, Sinbad, and Guy and Hardison.

This isn’t the first time Netflix has looked to give a popular sitcom the sequel treatment. If everything pans out with A Different World’s next project, it’ll be the second time since That 90’s Show that the streaming giant has put money behind a follow-up to a hit show. That 90’s Show was the sequel to the hit Fox series, That 70’s Show.

Marcus Jordan Caught Snorting Mystery Substance In France.

Marcus Jordan is caught doing a suspicious act during his vacation in Europe. The former boyfriend of Larsa Pippen has been caught on camera snorting a white powder substance as he enjoyed a poolside lunch alongside his new girlfriend Ashley Stevenson in South of France.
In pictures circulating online on Wednesday, August 7, the 33-year-old appeared to ingest the mystery powder at a crowded table, using a metal implement to sniff the substance. He looked focused as he held the metal implement close to his nose while he closed one of his nostrils with his other hand.

While Marcus did the questionable act, a male pal was sitting in front of him and seemed to be engrossed in his phone. Meanwhile, his girlfriend Ashley was excitedly chatting to a female friend, seemingly unaware of what Marcus was doing. He cracked a wide smile afterwards while chatting to his companions.
Marcus was shirtless during the relaxing lunch, baring his chiseled arms and chest. As for Ashley, the blonde beauty put on a busty display in a printed string bikini while rocking sunglasses and sitting under a sun lounger.

Marcus first sparked romance rumors with Ashley after the duo shared photos and videos documenting their fun time together in France. On July 31, the Instagram model took to her social media page to post footage as they enjoyed a night out at a hotspot called Baoli.

Reposting some of Ashley's photos and videos, the son of Michael Jordan wrote, "Jr outside." He also shared a snippet of his companion from behind a DJ booth and gushed, "Ok, I see you @itsashleystevenson."

Marcus and Ashley were celebrating a pal's birthday on what appeared to be a double-date vacation. During their time in France, Marcus was staying at the Carlton Hotel in a massive suite.

Taylor Swift Supported For Canceling Vienna Gigs As 2 Suspects Of Terror Plot Are Still At Large!
A new detail about a terror plot at Taylor Swift's "Eras Tour" shows has been revealed. It has been reported that a number of suspects are still at large after two others were arrested following a foiled terror plot.
On Wednesday, August 7, The Kurier newspaper spilled more information about the terror plot at the 34-year-old superstar's concerts in Vienna, Austria. According to the media outlet, "three other suspects" have not been found.

The revelation came after it was announced that Taylor's concerts at Vienna's Ernst Happel Stadium have been canceled. She was originally slated to perform for three nights straight, from Friday, August 8 to Sunday, August 10.
The concerts were canceled following the arrest of two suspects. Authorities have revealed that a 19-year-old suspect, who had pledged allegiance to the Islamic State group, was arrested in Ternitz, south of Vienna. A 17-year-old second suspect was apprehended in Vienna. These arrests were made after authorities became aware of "preparatory actions" for a possible attack, focusing on Taylor's concerts.

Franz Ruf, the public security director at Austria's interior ministry, confirmed the threat, "The 19-year-old perpetrator had focused on the Taylor Swift concerts in Vienna" and had become radicalized on the internet. The suspects had detailed plans, and a bomb squad found chemical substances during the 19-year-old's arrest. Investigators are now determining if these could have been used to build a bomb.

In the wake of the cancellation, Taylor received supportive messages from her fans, famously known as Swifties. One in particular wrote, "Our thoughts and prayers are with Taylor and her fans right now." Another chimed in, "This must be so hard on her and everyone attending but safety is so much more important."
A third penned, "Omg she's never cancelled a show before, she must be so sad and all those people who bought tickets don't get to see her with so much difficulty. Praying for her safety." A fourth stated, "The hate for swifties and taylor has gone way too far... i cannot believe that now people are going to the lengths of TERRORISM just to target and harm innocent people just because they like ONE artist."

PnB Rock murder trial: Man found guilty in rapper's killing at South LA restaurant

A 42-year-old man was convicted Wednesday in the robbery and shooting death of rapper PnB Rock at a South Los Angeles restaurant two years ago.
After less than three hours of deliberations, the Compton jury found Freddie Trone guilty of one count each of felony murder and conspiracy to commit robbery, along with two counts of second-degree robbery involving the 30-year-old rapper and his fiancé.

Also convicted Wednesday was co-defendant Tremont Jones, 46, who was found guilty of two counts of second-degree robbery and one count of conspiracy to commit robbery. He was not charged with murder.
The defendants were charged along with Trone's then-17-year-old son. His case is currently in juvenile court while he undergoes treatment to determine if he can be found mentally competent to stand trial.

A third defendant, Shauntel Trone pleaded no contest to accessory after the fact on July 16, 2024. She is scheduled to be sentenced on January 16, 2025.
PnB Rock, whose real name is Rakim Allen, was shot once in the chest and two times in the back by an assailant in a ski mask who demanded his jewelry and threatened to kill the rapper's girlfriend while the two were eating lunch on Sept. 12, 2022, at Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles on West Manchester Avenue.

"Today, justice has been served for Mr. Allen and his family who have endured unimaginable pain losing a loved one to such senseless violence," District Attorney Gascón said.
Deputy District Attorney Timothy Richardson told the jury that Trone "sent his son out on a coordinated act to rob watches, rings and chains off of a person," while defense attorney Winston McKesson countered that Trone's teenage son acted independently from his dad and that the "only conclusion that is consistent with justice is that Freddie Trone is not guilty of these charges."

The prosecutor told jurors that the motive for the crime was "about a half a million dollars worth of jewelry," arguing that Trone drove his son to and from the restaurant but never set foot inside the business himself while the rapper was there.

The prosecution stated that Jones fist-bumped the rapper at the restaurant and then passed information on to Trone about what jewelry the entertainer was wearing.
Richardson noted "how difficult it is to accept that a father would put his son up to this."
The prosecutor told jurors that Trone, his son and Jones had "coordinated actions" that were "not a coincidence."

Trone vigorously proclaimed his innocence from the witness stand, telling jurors, "I wasn't there. I didn't tell nobody to do nothing."
Trone testified that his son and his own vehicle went missing, and that he subsequently found his son in the vehicle with three other "youngsters."
Trone's attorney said there was "no evidence of a conspiracy" to rob the rapper and accused investigators of making up their minds about "who they thought was guilty" and "looking only for evidence that pointed to guilt" while ignoring anything that pointed to his client's innocence.

"You have no evidence that my client planned anything," McKesson said, telling jurors that the prosecution's goal was to get them to "dislike" Trone.
The defense attorney told reporters outside court that he believes his client wouldn't have been charged with murder had he not lived in the area and been African-American, saying that he would have been charged with being an accessory after the fact if it had happened in Beverly Hills.

On Wednesday after the verdict, McKesson told City News Service that he was "disappointed" with the trial's outcome.
"I think the problem is whenever you have a Black man charged in a violent crime and no African Americans on the jury, it is a major problem," he said. "Because all non-Black people -- no matter what their race -- view Black men as dangerous."

The attorney said he would appeal on behalf of Trone.
"I believe we challenged every aspect of the case," McKesson said outside court.
"I do not think this jury cared. I think they ignored all the evidence that pointed toward innocence and rolled with all the evidence that pointed towards guilt. I believe they decided early how they would vote."
The defense attorney said that when the panel returned with a verdict after deliberating for just 90 minutes Wednesday, "I knew they didn't even listen to my argument or my client's testimony."

Before the verdict, Jones' attorney called the case "so thin," saying that the idea that his client was aiding and abetting the crime "doesn't hold."
Sentencing for both defendants was set for Aug. 27 in the Compton courthouse.
Trone's son was arrested in September 2022, and his father was subsequently arrested in Las Vegas and returned to Los Angeles County in October 2022, while Jones was taken into custody in May 2023, according to jail records.

Kanye West's Ex-Chief of Staff Links Rapper's 'Self-destruction' To His Alleged 'Nitrogen Gas' Use
Kanye West's former chief of staff, Milo Yiannopoulos, has made several shocking accusations against the rapper's dentist, Thomas P. Connelly.
Yiannopoulos alleged that the celebrity dentist provided West with an "unlawful supply" of nitrous gas, ignoring the "self-destructive" consequences it would have on the Yeezy founder.

He also accused Connelly of fraudulently obtaining money from Kanye West due to the rapper's alleged addiction to gas, which Yiannopoulos claims had weakened his mental acuity.
In a legal affidavit obtained by the Daily Mail, Milo Yiannopoulos accused Thomas P. Connelly of the "unlawful supply of enormous quantities of nitrous gas" to West for recreational use,  which he claimed violated professional ethics.

The former Yeezy employee stated that the dentist charged "more than $50,000 per month for the service" and continued supplying the gas even after concerns were raised about West experiencing "distressing symptoms."
In the document, Yiannopoulos claimed that Connelly, who installed the rapper's $850,000 titanium dentures, instructed West on how to use the gas canisters, thereby "knowingly encouraging their use in the absence of a qualified anesthesia or medical professional by a person with a history of mental illness and addiction."

This, he believes, amounted to abandoning West to the "self-destructive consequences of dependence" while being indifferent to the "prospect of permanent damage to brain or body."
Yiannopoulos also shared that Conelly knew West "to be in a confused, dependent, weakened and addicted state" yet continued "taking millions of dollars."
He labeled this as a "fraudulent" act, given that Connelly was aware of West's condition.

Elsewhere in the affidavit, Yiannopoulos stated that some Yeezy employees had expressed concerns about West's "dependence on the gas" and that he "seemed to be in and out of the inhaler mask on a near-constant basis."
He also mentioned that employees were worried after seeing surgical tanks containing the gas in Bianca Censori's apartment, which suggested that West was consuming it excessively.

Even in meetings with his staff, West has reportedly been open about consuming the gas and  that his communications "were becoming incomprehensible and contradictory."
According to Yiannopoulos, West's "widely-reported bipolar diagnosis" matches the "side effects of prolonged nitrous gas abuse," adding that Connelly was privy to West's "psychological vulnerabilities and sought to exploit them."

In the affidavit, he urged the authorities to begin an investigation to get to the root of the matter while Connelly's license should be suspended. He also revealed that his decision to pursue these claims was "motivated by urgent concern" for West's well-being.
The claims from Yiannopoulos come months after he exited his role at Yeezy due to West's porn studio project.
At the time, he revealed he was leaving because he "cannot be complicit in the production of pornographic films and literature, for moral and religious reasons."

He also stated that getting involved in the project would be "an imminent danger to my life as a recovering addict and an unacceptable risk to my spiritual and physical health as a former homosexual."
However, he left the door open for a possible comeback under the condition that Yeezy would abandon the project.
Yiannopoulos said, per TMZ, "If at any time in the future, the company publicly and permanently abandons any plan to produce, distribute, or profit from obscene content, it would be an honor to serve you again."

Despite Yiannopoulos no longer being a staff member of Yeezy, he was named alongside his boss in a recent lawsuit filed by ex-employees of the company.
They accused the duo of forcing them to "work insanely long hours" and signing non-disclosure agreements under the threat of losing their jobs.
According to the court documents obtained by TMZ, the ex-employees claim they worked hard to complete the project given to them, but when they asked for their pay, neither West nor Yiannopoulos responded, prompting them to pursue a legal means of resolving the standstill.

In the docs, they also alleged that they were openly "mocked with racist jabs" by Yeezy white managers in charge of the overseas and ethnic workers.
Some of the disparaging language referenced their "age, race, gender, sexual orientation and national origin." They also alleged that some of their colleagues were called "slaves" and "new slaves" during different work interactions.
The ex-employees are asking for the complete payment of their unpaid wages, compensation for overtime, and damages for the emotional distress they suffered while working for West's company.

Former Olympian Gabby Douglas Says She’s “Constantly Being Bullied” by Gymnastics Fans

Three-time Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas reveals that she is "tired" of being bullied by gymnastic fans online.
Recently, a TikTok user posted a video discussing how she believed Olympics and gymnastics fans left Douglas out of the conversation, so-to-speak, when Simone Biles emerged on the scene and over time became the most decorated American gymnast in history.

“I’ll still never forget how ya'll fumbled Gabby Douglas," the woman says while looking directly at the camera. "Ya’ll dropped her like a bad habit when Simone Biles came on the scene.
"Gabby Douglas used to be the greatest Olympic gymnast and then here comes Simone Biles," she continued. "Nobody cares about Gabby Douglas anymore. When is the last time you thought about Gabby Douglas? I think about her all the time."

One commenter just-so-happens to be Douglas, who revealed that she's been the target of gymnastics fans' ire for some time.
“That’s OK!” Douglas commented from her official and verified TikTok account.
“Constantly being bullied is very tiring and wearing on me,” she continued. “I just want to live my life and be at peace. Thanks for the love! Definitely needed in this world.”

Back in 2012, during the London Summer Olympics, Douglas faced racist criticism of her hair. At the time, she fired back those who took issue with how she appeared while performing routines that truly defied the laws of physics.

"I just made history and people are focused on my hair? It can be bald or short; it doesn't matter," she said at the time. "Nothing is going to change. I'm going to wear my hair like this during beam and bar finals. You might as well stop talking about it."
Douglas faced the same racist backlash in 2016, only this time the internet came to her defense...and fiercely.
"If you were mad about Gabby's hair in 2012...& you're mad about it AGAIN in 2016...that's not her lack of growth, but yours," one user posted on X, at the time referred to as Twitter.

"Our community is being systematically oppressed & eliminated and you want to come for #GabbyDouglas hair? Shame on you. Do better," another commented.
"Folks talmbout Gabby Douglas' hair. SHE IS FLIPPING AROUND. How is her hair supposed to be perfect?" another posted. "Yours ain't and you ain't doing that."

Colman Domingo Credits ‘Euphoria’ for Becoming a Heartthrob at the “Ripe Old Age of 54”

Colman Domingo still can’t believe he’s become a “54-year-old heartthrob,” all thanks to his role on Euphoria.
The Emmy-winning actor, who plays Rue’s (Zendaya) sponsor Ali on the hit HBO series, recently opened up to Jessica Shaw on SiriusXM’s The Spotlight about this newfound attention he’s received from the younger generation.
“It’s really kind of incredible,” Domingo said. “They’re like, ‘Oh my god, Ali!’ And usually what’s so sweet, they look at me and they want me to be their big brother, their father figure, their counselor or something.”

However, the Rustin star admitted he’s also experienced some wilder run-ins with younger fans.
“I was literally driving down the 405 in L.A. and a group of young girls kept looking at me and my husband was like, ‘Those girls are looking at you. Is something wrong?'” he recalled of the encounter. “‘I don’t know,’ but they kept looking and then eventually, I waved, and then I literally heard [screams]. So I’m a 54-year-old heartthrob as well.”

“It’s happened,” Domingo quipped with a laugh. “I never knew it would happen, but it’s happened at the ripe old age of 54. Listen, as long as it happened at some point in my life, right?”

The Fear the Walking Dead actor scored an Emmy in 2022 for best guest actor in a drama series for his performance as Ali on Euphoria.
Domingo is set to reprise his character for season three of the Sam Levinson-created drama, which is set to begin filming in January 2025. But fans have long questioned if they’ll actually see a third season, as the HBO show has been hit with tragedy and trauma since the season two premiere in 2022.

Last year, Domingo also addressed rumors that Euphoria was a “toxic production,” saying that the claims made in a 2022 The Daily Beast exposé weren’t true.
“I’m not gonna invalidate [anyone’s] experience, but working in television is long hours,” he told The Independent in November 2023. “Sometimes you work up to 14 hours a day, and then you have to go home and prep. You have to really live and work in a very methodical way. A lot of young actors may not be up for the task or have that same work ethic.”

The actor continued, “I’ve been in this business for 32 years. I know what hard work is. So, when I heard those ‘reports’” — The Independent noted the actor did air quotes when he said reports — “I thought, ‘Where is this coming from? That’s just a normal work day.’ Be a professional.”

Maia Campbell Reappears on Social Media Years After Rejecting LL Cool’s J’s Offer to Help

It appears that 90’s actress Maia Campbell is shyly making her way back into the Hollywood scene. She’s known for starring in hit movies and series such as “Poetic Justice,” “In the House,” “Seventeen Again,” and in music videos like Tyrese’s “Sweet Lady.”

However, Campbell’s acting career was derailed due to her struggles with both bipolar disorder and substance abuse.
But fans are leaping for joy after she returned to social media after an apparent four-year hiatus. Destiny’s Child singer LeToya Luckett tied the knot with entrepreneur Taleo Coles last weekend, sharing photos from the Houston celebration of their nuptials.

Celebrities such as Bresha Webb, former band mate LaTavia Roberson, Pastor Keion Henderson, La La Anthony, and Tamar Braxton, flooded the comment sections of multiple posts from the ceremonies.
Campbell, who has very publicly dealt with both bipolar disorder and drug addiction, made a quiet but significant appearance, wishing Luckett, “Congratulations” with two heart emojis.

Fans quickly replied to her comment, wishing her well.
“Pray you’re doing well mama…Love and light to you,” one reply read, followed by others expressing, “We miss you, praying you are well.”
Campbell’s former co-star LL Cool J made significant efforts to help Campbell, who seemed to fade from the public eye again after the show ended in 1998.
The “Rock the Bells” rapper, who co-starred with her on “In the House,” reached out to Campbell publicly and privately, offering support after seeing videos of her being manipulated by drug dealers.

Despite his efforts, she refused his offer to get clean in 2017 and suggested he help with a benefit concert for mental health.
Campbell had not posted since 2020 on her Instagram page. But her comment on Luckett’s post even sparked a thread on Lipstick Alley, with many compassionately discussing her return to social media and hoping she is sober and well.
“I hope she doing well and getting the help she needs because we did not hear from her since the pandemic,” one fan wrote.

Another said, “I believe she’s doing better. Her daughter posted some photos of her going on mommy+daughter dates together on her instagram. Maia looked great and I’m glad they’re healing their relationship.”
Campbell shares a daughter, Elizabeth Elisha, with her ex-husband, Elias Gutierrez. A year after giving birth in 2000, she lost custody of the then-1-year-old for refusing to be treated for her bipolar disorder diagnosis, according to Heavy.

One person on X wrote, “I’m so happy for her. Watching her spiral while everybody made jokes about it used to make me so angry.”
Elizabeth shared a photo of herself and her mom on IG in June. But she has since scrubbed her Instagram page of all photographs of herself and her mother. Many still flood her comments noting that she looks exactly like her mom. And some speculated Campbell could be preparing to make a career comeback if she truly is clean.

“Dope. Heard she was tryna get back into acting,” wrote one person.
Another said, “I hope they don’t rush to put cameras in her face or rush her to the public let her enjoy her peace.”
“You don’t know how happy this makes me,” said a third person on the X platform. “I’ve run into her several times on Campbellton road in Atl, and it was so sad to see her that way.this is powerful and I’m so glad she’s sober.”

The former actress and model is widely known for her role as Tiffany Warren in the sitcom “In the House,” where she also starred alongside Debbie Allen. In her meteoric but short career, she also appeared in television shows like “South Central” and the movie “Poetic Justice.”

Campbell married Gutierrez in 1998, and he primarily raised their daughter when she was younger. That marriage ended in 2002. Four years later, she lost her mother to brain cancer while being estranged at the time of her death, Essence reports. In a statement to the outlet in 2009, her family revealed she was struggling and seeking help at a treatment facility.

“We also know that Maia’s mother, the late Bebe Moore Campbell, who devoted much of her later years in life to mental health awareness and education, along with her family members and friends would welcome your prayers and support for Maia’s sustained recovery,” said her dad, Ellis Gordon. “In addition, we urge your support for efforts to diagnose and treat mental illness in our community.

Bebe was also one of the founders of the National Alliance for Mentally Ill.

In 2010, Campbell was arrested for theft and sent for mandatory mental health treatment at a facility in California.

Iyanla Vanzant even used her OWN “Iyanla: Fix My Life” platform to reunite Campbell with her daughter Elizabeth Elisha, discuss her mental health and wellness in 2012. She provided counsel to restore some of the things Campbell had lost.
However, she was arrested twice in 2015: once for cursing at a child she accused of stealing her wallet at Burger King and once for causing chaos at a Waffle House in the Atlanta suburb of Riverdale while allegedly intoxicated.
Two years later, a man recorded his interaction with Campbell at a gas station in Atlanta, where she pumped his gas and can be heard asking for “crack,” among other obscene things. She also visibly had a missing tooth and wore a black bralet with gray biker shorts.

How Campbell is actually doing remains unknown.
Over the last few years, she has been extremely private and reclusive from her fans and the media. However, many hope that she will receive their messages of support, letting her know that decades later, she still has fans praying and wishing the best for her.

A fan wrapped it up best, saying, “I really hope she’s in a better mental space.”

Taraji P. Henson Spotlights French Fashion in Mesh Givenchy Boots for Paris Olympics Basketball Event

Taraji P. Henson is making her way around Paris supporting the Olympic athletes of her home country. The actress was in attendance at Team USA House, located at Palais Brongniart, to attend an Aug. 5 event for the men’s and women’s basketball teams. Henson posed on the red carpet in a lacy black ensemble paired with Givenchy’s Shark Lock stiletto sandal boots in 4G mesh.

The “Color Purple” star elected to wear an all-black outfit consisting of a black blazer with lace detailing and sheer sleeves. This was paired with a matching mini skirt (or shorts), which reached her upper thigh just the same as her jacket did. Henson went without a traditional shirt for the event, instead wearing a black bralette which was visible underneath her blazer. She added sparkle to the look with layers of glittering chunky necklaces, including one with a nameplate pendant reading “Taraji.” Posing in bright sunlight, Henson also wore a pair of oversized sunglasses with pointed frames.

Henson matched her outfit to Givenchy’s Shark Lock Stiletto sandal boots in 4G mesh. The shoes include an open-toe design and a 3.8 inch heel. The shoe’s vamp and cylindrical mesh cover both feature a pattern of the brand’s 4G logo. The logo is also displayed on the padlock, which is gold-hued and covered in black leather. The $1750 shoes certainly aligned with Henson’s apparel, with both her clothing and shoes featuring a transparent element.

Givenchy’s Shark Lock collection is extensive, featuring a myriad of styles with the silhouette’s signature cylindrical shaft which partially covers the shoe’s upper. The shoes are available in a range of lengths, colors and patterns, with materials ranging from mesh to suede to leather to denim. As the name suggests, each shoe comes with an interchangeable lock at the top of the boot, which comes in different hues depending on the style.

The Shark Lock style is trending on the celebrity circuit as of late. Ice Spice recently wore an off-white leather version of the shoe while performing at Wireless Festival in London this summer. Remy Ma, meanwhile, took the stage in a black leather version at the Hip Hop 50 Live concert at Yankee Stadium in 2023.

Kevin Hart Explains Michael Jordan Feud: ‘I Don’t Give a S–t’
*Kevin Hart recently addressed the ongoing tension between himself and NBC icon Michael Jordan, which stemmed from a joke the comedian made years ago.
Hart shared details about their ongoing feud last month during his Acting My Age tour show in Atlantic City.
“Michael’s had an attitude with me for years because I hosted a celebrity event for him and he came in late. I saw him coming in late [and] I hit him with [a joke],” Hart told the audience, the Daily Mail reports.

“It was quick. It was all in fun. I don’t know where it came from,” Hart added. “I just hit him with a quick one.”
Hart said that Jordan “hasn’t talked to me since” the event.
“I don’t give a s–t. I could care less. I can f–king care less,” he told the crowd.
“I’m at a point in my life where it’s very hard to bother me. I’m 45 years old and it’s not about the progression of life. You get to the point where little things don’t matter. I’m not the same person I once was.”

Meanwhile, you can next catch Hart in Peacock’s new true crime series “Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist,” co-starring Samuel L. Jackson.
The project hails from producer Will Packer and is based on the iHeart true crime podcast of the same name that centers on an armed robbery on the night of Muhammad Ali’s historic 1970 comeback fight.

Per Peacock, here’s the official synopsis: “Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist follows the infamous story of how an armed robbery on the night of Muhammad Ali’s historic 1970 comeback fight changed not only one man’s life but ultimately transformed Atlanta into the “Black Mecca.” When a hustler named Chicken Man (Kevin Hart) hosts an afterparty to celebrate the fight with a guest list of the country’s wealthiest, the night ends with the most brazen criminal underworld heist in Atlanta’s history. Suspected of masterminding the crime, Chicken Man is hellbent on clearing his name but must convince his old adversary, J.D. Hudson (Don Cheadle), one of the first Black detectives in the city’s desegregated police force, who is tasked with bringing those responsible to justice.”

The series premieres Sept. 5.

Family of French Explorer Who Died in the Titan Sub Implosion Files $50 Million Lawsuit

The family of French explorer Paul-Henri Nargeolet, who tragically died in the Titan submersible implosion, has filed a wrongful death lawsuit seeking over $50 million. The lawsuit accuses OceanGate, the operator of the sub, of gross negligence.
Nargeolet, affectionately known as “Mr. Titanic,” was one of five individuals who perished when the Titan submersible imploded during a voyage to the Titanic wreck site in the North Atlantic in June 2023. The experimental submersible, owned by OceanGate, has since ceased operations.

Nargeolet was highly respected in the field of underwater exploration and was considered one of the foremost experts on the Titanic. His estate’s attorneys claim that the Titan had a “troubled history” and that OceanGate failed to disclose critical information about the sub’s durability and safety.
“The lawsuit further alleges that even though Nargeolet had been designated by OceanGate to be a member of the crew, many of the vessel’s flaws and shortcomings were not disclosed and were purposely concealed,” stated the Buzbee Law Firm, representing Nargeolet’s estate.

OceanGate has not commented on the lawsuit, which was filed in King County, Washington. Attorney Tony Buzbee emphasized that the family seeks to uncover the full details of how the disaster occurred and hold those responsible accountable.

After the disaster, concerns emerged about the Titan’s unconventional design and its creator’s refusal to submit to independent checks, which are standard in the industry. These concerns have cast doubts on the future of private deep-sea exploration.
The U.S. Coast Guard has launched a high-level investigation into the incident, with a key public hearing scheduled for September.
The Titan’s last dive occurred on June 18, 2023, losing contact with its support vessel approximately two hours later. The wreckage was found about 984 feet off the Titanic’s bow, 435 miles south of St. John’s, Newfoundland.

OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush, who was operating the Titan during its final dive, also died in the implosion, along with British adventurer Hamish Harding, and Shahzada Dawood and his son Suleman Dawood from a prominent Pakistani family.
Meanwhile, RMS Titanic Inc., which holds the salvage rights to the Titanic, has embarked on its first expedition to the wreck site since 2010. Nargeolet, who served as the director of underwater research for RMS Titanic, was a seasoned veteran who, according to his estate’s attorneys, would not have joined the Titan expedition if he had known the true risks involved.
