#RHOA: NeNe Leakes and Bethenny Frankel have 'no issues' between them despite NeNe deleting Just B podcast promo from her Instagram
NeNe Leakes recently shocked fans after they noticed she had deleted all traces of her appearance on fellow Real Housewives star Bethenny Frankel's Just B podcast from her Instagram.
Frankel had invited her on the pod in September for an 'explosive' two-part interview that explored Leakes' childhood and raw details about her life but did not touch on her lawsuit against Bravo.

Although the posts are gone, a source dished to Page Six that Leakes has 'no issues' with Frankel and that she was simply 'cleaning up' her page from 'old promos.'
'NeNe was promoting the podcast episodes AS they were airing,' they explained. 'There is no reason for her to promote old episodes, and Bethenny has had new episodes since then.'

The source added that Bethenny is unbothered and, instead, 'so grateful that she and NeNe got to do a few episodes together.'
Weeks after her interview, Leakes hosted a limited podcast series with Frankel called BetheNeNe, which aired in six-parts and discussed hot topics ranging from pop culture to the RHOA star's dating life.

They may actually be planning to work together again. Apparently, Leakes and the Real Housewives of New York star 'have been talking and texting all week' about their possibly 'future projects together.'
Leakes and Frankel, along with starring in Real Housewives franchise, have plenty in common as they've both voiced their disdain for Bravo's alleged 'systemic racism', 'exploitation' and 'unfair wage gaps.'

Back in August, a bombshell letter revealed that 80 reality stars had teamed up to accuse the network of 'covering up sexual violence, condoning revenge porn, exploiting minors and denying mental health treatment'.
Frankel was believed to have led the charge, though the former RHONY star has since clarified that she is not one of the people who is officially taking legal action against Bravo or NBC.

Stars complained of 'grotesque and depraved mistreatment', with the letter claiming both current and former stars were 'mentally, physically, and financially victimized'.
It also alleged that they were 'threatened with ruin should they decide to speak out about their mistreatment'.

The explosive letter claimed the networks' widely consumed reality TV universe is the reason stars' alleged suffering 'remained under wraps for far too long'.
'The day of reckoning has arrived,' the letter began, as it accused network chiefs of deliberately damaging the mental health of cast members by plying them with alcohol and depriving them of food and sleep.

When stars complained, they were allegedly denied mental health treatment despite showing signs they were struggling, the letter said.
The networks are also accused of exploiting minors by not paying them despite long-term appearances on the shows.

Sources said there have been over 100 emails from talent, producers and various show runners about the issues detailed in the letter.
Showrunners were also accused of distributing, or condoning, 'the distribution of non-consensual pornography' - or so-called 'revenge porn' - and covering up 'sexual violence'.

At the end of their alleged ordeal, stars were also not allowed to leave their shows, 'even under dire circumstances'.

#HipHopNews: Cardi B Threatens Lawsuit Over AI Scam Video: "I Love Easy Money"
Cardi B is confronting a fraudulent financial program that used her likeness without consent. Today (Nov. 22), a commercial by USA Wellness Wave featured a voice resembling the rapper’s to promote an alleged scam involving a card reloading scheme.

The ad, which surfaced on Instagram, claimed to offer a “stimulus-style” payment program and used artificial intelligence (AI) to generate a voice eerily similar to the New York native. It said, “Yo, it’s your girl Cardi, and I’ma show you how to put $16,000 in your pocket right now for free.”

Reacting to the misuse, Cardi hinted at potential legal action on Twitter. “AI is crazy, [shaking my head],” she wrote. “Another lawsuit that fell right on my lap… I love easy money.”
This incident isn’t the first time the “Bongos” artist shut down AI being used for deceptive purposes. In August, a social media user posted an AI-generated image and voice note falsely claiming that Offset cheated on her. Subsequently, Cardi warned of impending legal action, stressing an end to such online games.

“So you guys are going to receive a letter from his lawyer,” she announced in a now-deleted Twitter Spaces session. “Because all these little games that you guys want to play online — it’s going to be over with.”
She continued, “You’re going to be getting sued, and we’re going to make an example out of you. Yeah, and that was a terrible AI voice, by the way. So yeah, bye.”

Amid all of the drama, Cardi recently shut down rumors that she was taking a break from music. Last Thursday (Nov. 16), the rapper explained, “I never said I was taking a hiatus… I’m just continuing with my social media break, as I have been for the last few weeks… Not sure why that’s causing such a ruckus. [Babygirl], ya know where to catch me!”

Tiffany Haddish arrested on suspicion of DUI in Beverly Hills
Tiffany Haddish was arrested Friday on suspicion of driving under the influence, police said.
The actor and comedian was detained after Beverly Hills police received a call about 5:45 a.m. Police said she appeared to be found slumped over the wheel of the vehicle while the car engine was still running.

Haddish, an Emmy and Grammy winner, performed at the Laugh Factory in Los Angeles on Thursday night. It was the comedy club's 43rd annual free Thanksgiving feast for the community.
A representative for Haddish did not immediately respond to an emailed request for comment.

Last year, Haddish was arrested on suspicion of DUI in suburban Atlanta.
Haddish has starred in films like the comedy "Girls Trip," "Night School," "Like a Boss" and "The Kitchen." She wrote the New York Times best seller "The Last Black Unicorn," which earned a Grammy nomination.

In 2018, Haddish won an Emmy for her appearance on "Saturday Night Live" and a Grammy in 2021 for her special "Black Mitzvah."

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs faces another lawsuit, accused of sexual assault and revenge porn

Sean “Diddy” Combs was hit with a second lawsuit in as many weeks, accusing him of drugging and sexually assaulting a woman who claims she was also a victim of alleged “revenge porn” by the music artist.
The civil suit filed under the New York Adult Survivors Act names Combs and his companies, including Bad Boy Entertainment, and is just the latest in a rush of cases filed against high profile men among others as the window to file under the state’s look back law closes this week.

The civil suit filed in New York Supreme Court demands a trial by jury and seeks damages. “Plaintiff brings suit against Defendants to redress the substantial and lifetime injuries she has suffered as a result of being drugged, sexually assaulted and abused, and being the victim of ‘revenge porn’ that Sean Combs or ‘P. Diddy’ created and distributed,” the suit filed in New York Supreme Court stated.

A spokesperson for Combs says the allegations are “made up and not credible,” adding the move is “purely a money grab.”
“This last-minute lawsuit is an example of how a well-intentioned law can be turned on its head,” the spokesperson said. “Mr. Combs never assaulted her, and she implicates companies that did not exist,” it continues.

A representative for Bad Boy Entertainment was not immediately available for comment.

The alleged victim, Joi Dickerson-Neal, was a Syracuse University student at the time of the 1991 incident and had previously appeared with Combs in a few video clips of a music video.
The suit alleged she agreed to a dinner at a Harlem restaurant “reluctantly” with Combs while on school break for the holidays in January, when he “pushed” her to keep him company while he attended to “a few things in the city.”

The suit alleges during their date he “intentionally drugged” her “resulting in her being in a physical state where she could not independently stand or walk.”

While at dinner, she left to use the restroom and left her drink “unattended,” it is alleged in the suit.
In the car, the suit alleges she took a puff of a “blunt” under pressure from Combs, and “from that point on, Plaintiffs memory is incomplete.”
“Driving first to a music studio where she could not get out of the car, Combs proceeded to a place he was staying to sexually assault her,” the suit alleges.

“Because she had been drugged, Plaintiff lacked the physical ability or mental capacity to fend Combs off,” the suit alleges.
The suit alleges Combs video recorded  the sexual assault, and days later a male friend revealed to Dickerson he had viewed it.

“Horrified, Ms. Dickerson asked how many others saw it, to which he responded, ‘everyone.’”
Thereafter, Dickerson alleges her life “went into a tailspin,” she was admitted to hospital for severe depression and suicide ideation, the suit claims.

According to the suit, Dickerson filed police reports at unspecified agencies in New York and New Jersey and spoke to “several prosecutors” hoping to press charges and was told her “allegations would need to be corroborated.”
The suit goes on to say Combs had experienced “great success” with the launch of late Notorious B.I.G.’s career whose hit single Juicy was charted on Billboard, and claims witnesses were “terrified that Combs would retaliate against them and that they would lose future business and music opportunities if they made a statement in support” of her.

The accuser was trying to gain a foothold in the music industry working as a location scout for an industry cameraman, and despite her allegations of “emotional pain” continued work in the music industry at a DJ management company after the incident, the suit states.

She eventually left as Combs’ “star continued to rise and his presence was inescapable,” according to the suit.
“It was the filing of the lawsuit about his abuse of Cassie Venture [sic] on November 16, 2023, that forced her to face his assault again,” the suit says.
Ventura, former girlfriend of Combs, accused the rapper and producer of years of sexual abuse, rape and trafficking in a suit Combs said was resolved “amicably” one day after the filing.

Combs’ representative at the time said it was “in no way an admission of wrongdoing” and “does not in any way undermine his flat-out denial of the claims.”

Jamie Foxx Shuts Down 'Frivolous' Lawsuit Accusing Him Of Sexual Assault

Jamie Foxx has vehemently denied a recent allegation against him. Having been sued for sexual assault by a woman, the "Day Shift" actor shut down the accusation, calling the lawsuit "frivolous."
"The alleged incident never happened. In 2020, this individual filed a nearly identical lawsuit in Brooklyn," a spokesperson for Foxx said Thursday," November 23. "That case was dismissed shortly thereafter."

"The claims are no more viable today than they were then. We are confident they will be dismissed again. And once they are, Mr. Foxx intends to pursue a claim for malicious prosecution against this person and her attorneys for re-filing this frivolous action."
In the suit that was filed on Wednesday, November 322, the woman, who is only identified as Jane Doe, claims the Oscar winner sexually assaulted her at a rooftop bar in New York City back in 2015. The docs detail that the 55-year-old Hollywood star was at Catch NYC & Roof in August 2015 around 11 P.M. when the plaintiff arrived to be seated in the rooftop lounge and bar. She says she noticed the actor one table away.

Around 1 A.M., the plaintiff's friend asked Jamie if he'd take a photo with her and the plaintiff. He allegedly said, "Sure, baby anything for you," but appeared to have been intoxicated at the time.

After they took several photos together, he allegedly made flirty comments, including "Wow, you have that supermodel body" and "You smell so good," and told the plaintiff she looked like Gabrielle Union. He then pulled her by the arm to the back area of the rooftop, where he placed both hands on her waist, moved them under her top and started rubbing her breasts, according to the plaintiff.

The woman claimed she attempted to step away and noticed a security guard and others who saw what had happened, but they chose to walk away. The plaintiff says Jamie also slid his hand into her pants and put his fingers on and in her vagina and anus. He allegedly only stopped touching her when her friend came over and saw what was happening.
The woman went on to note that she was injured and had to undergo a medical treatment. She says she suffered pain and emotional distress as a result of the "sexual assault, abuse, assault and battery." She is suing the "Annie" actor, Catch and its employees for compensatory and punitive damages.

Iman Shumpert Wants 'Fair Resolution' Amid Divorce From Teyana Taylor
Iman Shumpert has broken his silence on his divorce from Teyana Taylor. In a statement through his lawyer, the NBA star said he wants to reach a "fair resolution" following his split from his singer wife.
The 33-year-old's lawyer, Stephen C. Steele, shared the statement with TMZ. "Mr. Shumpert hopes parties and counsel can work toward a fair resolution, keeping the best interests of the children of paramount concern," it read.

The statement arrived after TMZ reported that Teyana filed for divorce from her husband months before she confirmed their separation in September. According to the publication, the 32-year-old multi-talented star submitted the divorce papers in Georgia back in January.

In the docs, the musician accused the professional basketball player of "extreme narcissistic behavior" and being jealous of her fame. She said her ex would feel insecure about being good enough for her, despite the fact that he was earning way more playing basketball than she could ever dream of making in music.

Teyana noted that when Iman signed a $40 million contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2015 and was paid $8 million by the New York Knicks, he remained aggravated by her notoriety and jealous of her acting career. The athlete allegedly would grow annoyed when they attended public events together and photographers asked for him to step out of frame.

Iman then reportedly started sending Teyana negative text messages with condescending and manipulative language in response to her being in the spotlight. She claimed he would pick fights with her for no reason, even on her birthday, and then apologize.
Teyana says that she "began to intentionally dim her light for her husband to try to have a harmonious and peaceful marriage" as Iman "became more and more angry" about her stardom. She even had to turn down recording opportunities and acting gigs because Iman "did not want her to work."
However, when Teyana stopped working after giving birth to one of their kids, Iman allegedly complained about her not making money. She said she fought to keep their family together despite Iman "being extremely emotionally and mentally abusive towards her."

Teyana says she used her connections to get Iman gigs in Hollywood as his NBA career wound down, but he "unfortunately insisted on bickering." She reveals that she first began a divorce process in 2021, but they then reconciled. Their reconciliation, however, was short-lived because Iman "remained in an insecure state as his NBA career continued to wind down."

Antoni Porowski & Kevin Harrington Call Off Engagement After Four Years of Dating, Rep Issues Statement

Antoni Porowski and Kevin Harrington are splitting up. The Queer Eye star and the brand strategy director are ending their engagement after four years of dating, they confirmed in a statement via People.
“After many conversations and reflection during the wedding planning process, Antoni and Kevin have amicably decided to part ways,” a representative for Antoni says.

“While they still have a lot of respect for each other, as they talked more about the future, they realized they were on different paths.
“They both remain focused on work, and are surrounding themselves with friends during this time,” the rep added.
Antoni and Kevin got engaged in November 2022 after three years of dating. In September, Antoni had a bachelor weekend in Blackberry Mountain in Walland, Tenn. alongside Queer Eye colleague Tan France, model Gigi Hadid and Benji Pasek.

Jenna Ortega Leaves Scream Franchise After Melissa Barrera Firing
In the wake of Scream franchise star Melissa Barrera being let go from her role in Scream VII due to perceived inflammatory comments on social media about the Israel and Hamas conflict, co-star Jenna Ortega has left the film.
The news, reported by Deadline, follows yesterday’s announcement that Barrera was no longer a part of the cast. However, the trade notes that Ortega leaving the film was previously discussed before the strikes, and that “a script for Scream VII is not ready yet, and the Primetime Emmy nominee has to head to Ireland in April to shoot the second season of Netflix’s Wednesday which will go into the summer.” The timing of this news is very interesting, to say the least.

In the recent reboot of the franchise, which started with Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett’s Scream in 2022 and continued with this year’s Scream VI from the same directing team, Ortega and Barrera played sisters plagued by a new generation of Ghostface killers. Due to the success of those films, Scream VII was announced in August, with Christopher Landon (Freaky) at the helm.

Daryl Hall Granted Temporary Restraining Order Against John Oates After Filing Mysterious Lawsuit

Daryl Hall has been granted a temporary restraining order against John Oates after filing a mysterious lawsuit against his Hall & Oates bandmate.
Hall and his trust, The Daryl Hall Revocable Trust, filed a sealed complaint against Oates and two co-trustees of The John W. Oates TISA Trust on Nov. 16 in the Nashville Chancery Court, PEOPLE can confirm.

On the same day, Hall's legal team filed a motion for a temporary restraining order against Oates, which was granted on Nov. 17 after a $50,000 restraining bond was obtained.

Summons were then issued to Oates as well as his co-trustees Aimee Oates and Richard Flynn on Monday, and a pro hac vice motion was filed on Wednesday, meaning one party has requested an out-of-state attorney to join the case.
Reps for Hall and Oates as well as a lawyer for Hall did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comment.

While the bandmates have taken hiatuses from Hall & Oates in the past, they most recently performed as a duo for several concerts throughout 2022.
In March 2022, Hall expressed uncertainty at the prospect of the "Rich Girl" musicians coming back together for a new album anytime soon. "I have no idea. I don’t have any plans to work with John. I mean, whatever. Time will tell," he told The Los Angeles Times.

During an appearance on the Club Random with Bill Maher podcast in September 2022, Hall opened up about the state of his relationship to Oates. “You think John Oates is my partner? … He’s my business partner. He’s not my creative partner," he said at the time.
"John and I are brothers, but we are not creative brothers. We are business partners," continued Hall. "We made records called Hall & Oates together, but we’ve always been very separate, and that’s a really important thing for me."

Earlier this year, Oates recorded and released a reggae version of Hall & Oates' 1982 hit "Maneater" with producer Native Wayne Jobson and a lineup of legendary reggae musicians, inspired by his original vision for the song.
Oates revealed to PEOPLE in September that he wasn't sure Hall had listened to the song's new version, which was released in May. "Nope, I haven't heard from him," he said at the time. "I'm not even sure if he has or hasn't heard it."

Compton renames street after late rapper Eazy-E
Following an announcement last week, Compton, California leaders honored Eric “Eazy-E” Wright by renaming a street after him in his hometown. On Wednesday (Nov. 22), Mayor Emma Sharif, City Council officials and family members of the late rapper led an official ceremony for the newly minted Eazy Street, which can be found on the 100 block of Auto Drive South.

“Compton has a lot of history, but nobody knows about it. I figured the most recent history is hip hop history,” said Compton Entertainment Chamber of Commerce President Alonzo Williams, who helped to spearhead the renaming and briefly spoke to ABC7 Los Angeles at the event. “Being [that] this is the 50th anniversary of hip hop, I thought it’d be a great idea to approach the City Council [and] talk about possibly doing this, and they loved the idea.”

Eazy-E’s son, Eric Darnell Wright, also spoke to reporters about the momentous occasion. “My father finally got what he deserves, a monumental street in the city he put on the map,” he expressed. “It’s a long time coming, but again, I always say it’s God’s timing.” Currently, Eric Darnell follows in his father’s footsteps as an artist that records under the moniker Lil Eazy-E. He liberated The Legacy alongside Tha Dogg Pound’s Daz Dillinger back in March.

Eazy-E rose to prominence as part of N.W.A. with Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, MC Ren, DJ Yella and Arabian Prince. Together, the Compton-based collective put the spotlight on gangsta rap and the West Coast hip hop scene with their debut LP, Straight Outta Compton, in 1988. Eazy-E would also find success as a solo artist with Eazy-Duz-It in the same year. In 1995, he tragically succumbed to complications from AIDS only a month after learning of the diagnosis. A sophomore project, Str8 off Tha Streetz of Muthaphukkin Compton, was posthumously released several months later.

Stache is the Thanksgiving Day champion. The Sealyham Terrier, whose registered name is GCHP CH Goodspice Efbe Money Stache, won Best in Show at the 22nd Annual National Dog Show Presented by Purina. The Kennel Club of Philadelphia hosted the event, and the 2023 National Dog Show aired on NBC on Thanksgiving, Nov. 23, after the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

It was a hometown win for Stache, who lives in Honey Brook, Pennsylvania, and his handler Margery Good, who hails from Cochranville.
"It's an exhilarating feeling to win," Good said in a statement obtained by PEOPLE. "Stache deals easily with multiple things happening around him. He's so well-balanced, and he loves to show."

Before taking home the Best in Show title, Stache won the National Dog Show's Terrier Group, granting him access to the Best in Show round with the six other group winners: Sporting Group winner M the Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Non-Sporting winner Pumpkin the Dalmatian, Toy Group winner Comet the Shih Tzu, Working Group winner Carson the Great Dane, Hound Group winner Yaro the Azawahk, and Herding Group winner Heathcliff the German Shepherd.

Best in Show judge Carrie Chase named Stache the winner and gave second place, known as Reserve Best in Show, to Pumpkin the Dalmatian.
"This dog's condition, breed type, and showmanship all come together to produce the epitome of an excellent dog," Chase shared in a statement.

Ahead of his National Dog Show win, Stache was the #2-ranked Terrier and #12-ranked All-Breed show dog in America. With the 2023 National Dog Show's Best in Show title, Stache has now won 49 Best in Show prizes. Purina estimates over 20 million animal lovers watched the Sealyham terrier earn his Best in Show ribbon on Thanksgiving Day.
Good said Stache plans to celebrate with "a wonderful celebratory dinner" and quality time with the six canine friends he lives with.

With his win, Stache takes the National Dog Show throne from Winston the French Bulldog, the 2022 National Dog Show winner. Winston made history with his win, becoming the first French Bulldog to receive the Best in Show prize at the National Dog Show.
NBC will air an encore presentation of the two-hour 2023 National Dog Show special on Saturday, November 25, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. NBC's 2023 National Dog Show coverage is also available to watch on Peacock.

‘Squid Game: The Challenge’ Contestants Threaten Lawsuit Over Injuries
Netflix isn’t gonna be thankful about this: A legal firm in the U.K. is threatening a lawsuit over injuries sustained by contestants while filming Squid Game: The Challenge.
The British personal injury firm Express Solicitors announced on Thanksgiving Day that it is representing contestants from the show who are seeking compensation for their experience on the reality competition based on the hit drama series.

“We have sent letters of claim on behalf of contestants injured in this show,” CEO Daniel Slade said in a statement. “From what we’ve been told, they pushed the boundaries of safety in the name of entertainment. Production companies need to ensure that health and safety standards on their shows don’t leave people at risk of harm.” The letters of claim are the initial step being taken, and the firm says they are gathering further evidence and will then file a lawsuit if necessary. Right now the firm represents two contestants but is in communication with other potential claimants.

The firm added that contestants claim that they “suffered injuries such as hypothermia and nerve damage as a result of poor health and safety standards on set” while filming in January and are seeking compensation from the show’s production company Studio Lambert.
Media reports previously quoted anonymous contestants about their experiences filming the first episode’s “Red Light, Green Light” game. While the show makes it seem as if the entire contest lasted just five minutes, the sequence was actually shot over the course of several hours during freezing winter conditions (one report claimed temperatures dropped to 27 degrees Fahrenheit). “It was like a warzone,” one contestant was quoted as saying. “People were getting carried out by medics, but we couldn’t say anything. If you talk, then you’re out.”

Slade added to a U.K. publication, “Contestants thought they were taking part in something fun and those injured did not expect to suffer as they did. Now they have been left with injuries after spending time being stuck in painful stress positions in cold temperatures. One client describes seeing someone faint, then people shouting for medics. We have a case where someone complains of hypothermia. One had his hands turn purple from the cold. Such injuries can have very serious long-term health implications. One of our clients complains of being given ill-fitting clothing despite the cold conditions.”

The Hollywood Reporter asked the show’s producers about reports of injuries last week, and executive producer John Hay replied: “Welfare and safety are obviously paramount for us. And we’ve taken appropriate measures to look after people. The particular criticism you’re talking about was centered around the filming of ‘Red Light, Green Light.’ That was a big, complicated shoot, and it was a cold day, and it took quite a long time. But everyone was prepared for that and looked after properly. We anticipated and actually strenuously tested everything in advance and made sure we took all the proper measures.”

While executive producer Stephen Lambert added, “We’re giving away the largest prize in TV competition history. It wasn’t going to be a walk in the park to win $4.56 million. But equally, although there were moments when it was quite tough, and I wouldn’t necessarily want to eat in that dormitory every night for the rest of my life, [being on the show] was a lot nicer and a lot easier than an awful lot of unscripted shows — compared to some of the survival shows that have been made, or compared to a whole bunch of successful shows in the States and in the rest of the world. This is no harder than those and in lots of shows you have people sometimes treated for mild complaints, which is what happened in that particular game.”

Netflix released the first five episodes of Squid Game: The Challenge on Wednesday. Despite the show’s lavish production values that faithfully represent the original drama series’ aesthetic, critics and viewers haven’t been impressed, with the show scoring a 42 percent on Rotten Tomatoes among critics and an even lower 22 percent among viewers (some of whom seemed to have expected the show to be the second season of the drama series instead of a reality series).

Netflix and Studio Lambert had no comment.

*After winning three gold medals at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Sha’Carri Richardson and Noah Lyles are the 2023 USATF Athletes of the Year.
Lyles swept the 100m, 200m and 4x100m at the world championships in August. Richardson won 100m and 4x100m gold and 200m bronze at worlds, per Olympics.com. Richardson and Mitchell will be honored at the USATF Night of Legends on December 2 in Orlando, Florida.
Richardson is also one of 11 women nominated for the 2023 Women’s World Athlete of the Year award.

The World Athletes of the Year nominees were released last month, and the nominations reflect some of the standout performances achieved at the World Athletics Championships Budapest 23, one-day meeting circuits, Label road races, and other events around the world, per the organization’s website.

Richardson is being recognized for her standout performance at the World Athletic Championships, with gold in the 100 meter and bronze in the 200 meter

The Dallas Independent School District board voted earlier this month to name the track at the Jesse Owens Athletic Complex’s John Kincaide Stadium as Sha’Carri Richardson Track.

According to the district website, naming the track after the athlete serves “as a tribute to Richardson’s remarkable achievements in sports and significant ties to the Dallas community.”

Several Retailers Being Sued By Gucci For Allegedly Selling Counterfeit Products
Gucci has filed three federal lawsuits against Sam’s Club and Lord & Taylor with claims that they sold counterfeit products.
“After an extensive investigation, Gucci confirms it has taken legal action against Lord & Taylor, Sam’s Club and Century 21 for their role in marketing and selling counterfeit Gucci products,” the brand said in a statement. “Gucci remains committed to protecting its customers from retailers profiting from the sale of counterfeit goods.”

Adding that “Each year, Gucci spends millions of dollars on advertising to promote the goods and services offered under the Gucci marks in the United States. As a result of Gucci’s efforts and the appeal of the Gucci brand, Gucci sells high quantities of consumer goods annually in the United States.”

According to WWD, Gucci is suing for injunctive and monetary relief, alleging trademark infringement and unfair competition by Lord & Taylor and other unidentified individuals.

In 2020, Lord & Taylor relaunched with a new website after facing bankruptcy during the pandemic.
The brand claims that Lord & Taylor and other defendants “manufactured, advertised, offered for sale, sold, distributed, imported, and/or exported handbags bearing marks that are identical to or highly similar to the Gucci marks.”

Earlier this year, Gucci claimed to have purchased handbags from the Lord & Taylor website, including a red “GG Marmont Matelassรฉ Camera Bag” priced at $1,555 and a black “GG Marmont Shoulder Bag” for $2,400.

“After purchase, Gucci examined the Counterfeit Products, and confirmed that they are non-genuine,” the suit said.
“In June 2023, Gucci notified defendants about the counterfeit products that are offered for sale on Lord & Taylor’s website.”
“Counsel for Lord & Taylor responded by admitting that it was aware that it was selling counterfeit products, but then failed to respond further to Gucci’s communications.”

Additionally, the brand is demanding that Lord & Taylor surrender counterfeit goods for “impoundment and eventual destruction, without compensation.”

According to reports, Sam’s Club and Century 21 are facing similar claims in Gucci’s legal actions.
In the Sam’s club lawsuit, Gucci claimed they purchased “two handbags from Sam’s Club’s website bearing the Gucci marks: one black handbag, which was referred to as the ‘Gucci GG Marmont Matelassรฉ Mini Bag in Black’ and had a listed price of $1,100 on Sam’s Club website, and one pink handbag, which was referred to as the ‘Gucci GG Marmont Matelassรฉ Mini Bag in Dusty Pink’ and had a listed price of $1,100 on Sam’s Club’s website.”

“We expect our suppliers to provide authentic, quality products that meet customers’ and members’ expectations. Once Gucci made us aware of their concerns, we removed these products from our clubs and website and connected Gucci with the suppliers. We will respond to the complaint in court as appropriate once we are served,” said a spokesperson from Sam’s Club.
