What makes renowned renaissance man Kasseem “Swizz Beatz” Dean’s moves powerful, prominent, and fearless? Of course, he makes the answer sound very simple. “I don’t do anything that I’m not into, you know, those days are gone,” he reveals. “I have to really feel something. I must really be excited. People have to get something from it.”
There is a starting point when creative spirits like Swizz begin a new project. I wonder: Is the goal to shift the landscape or just do the best work? “I would say it’s a little bit of both. I mean, I’m attracted to doing things that one may be scared to do or don’t even know that there’s the opportunity to do, but I go into those places, wanting to be my best.”

The Cambridge Dictionary describes a disrupter as: “a person or thing that prevents something, especially a system, process, or event, from continuing as usual or as expected.” How does Swizz Beatz measure up? He doesn’t. He has redefined what it means to be a disrupter. “You can’t play it safe. Everything that I did, I took a risk.” The Bronx native says that after winning his first Grammy award in 2011, music ceased being his sole artistic playground. He was hungry to take on new challenges in various other disciplines.

For some people, titles are very important, but Swizz says they are limiting; they can put you in a box. As a matter of fact, he says, in the past, a title could never define the scope of what he’s been capable of doing. “My title was all things creative, right? All things great, all things disruptive.”
Swizz recently shook up the music world with the groundbreaking Verzuz platform, where artists face off, trying to one-up the other with their hits. It is like nothing the music industry has ever seen. Created by Swizz and record producer Timbaland, Verzuz brought incalculable joy when it began during the early days of the Covid pandemic. One of the things that it illustrated was a sense of camaraderie between artists.
This was a music battle in name only. The participants were really a part of the mutual admiration society. Swizz is, however, well aware of its lasting impact on the music industry on several levels. He boasts about how Verzuz helped increase music streams for participating acts. But that’s not the first thing he mentioned when asked about the Verzuz phenomenon. He says it has been a reminder to the industry and the audience that great music doesn’t have a shelf life. “Verzuz single-handedly proved to people that music does not have an age limit,” he says. He cites the epic battle between The Isley Brothers and Earth, Wind & Fire as the perfect example. Both legendary acts saw their streams increase along with a boost in their album sales. Patti LaBelle and Gladys Knight, who also set the Verzuz stage on fire, saw boosts in their streams too.

Gordon Thornton, the estranged husband of “Real Housewives of Potomac” star Mia Thornton, claims he gave her the green light to sleep with other men to “satisfy” her needs.
“I know there’s going to come a time when I probably won’t be able to satisfy all of her needs,” the 71-year-old, who recently had prostate cancer surgery, told TMZ in an interview published Sunday.
Gordon further claimed to the outlet that he told his estranged wife, 38, that she could “find what [she] need[ed] elsewhere.”
“What really aggravates me through all of this, is that I’d given her permission, and yet she still chooses to sneak around, chooses to lie, chooses to continually change her story about what’s going on and why she’s leaving me,” he explained.

“I said [she] could see someone — just don’t make it public. Be careful and don’t involve the kids. Well, she’s still sneaking around and thinking that I didn’t know,” he added.
Gordon alleged that he found records of phone calls between Mia and her alleged new partner at “2 o’clock in the morning” and when the businessman was “away from home.”
“I knew what was going on,” he said.
Since their split, Gordon alleged that Mia has upgraded to another man who has “access to funds” that he no longer has.
“I absolutely believe her leaving me now is tied to the fact that I don’t have access to assets and my funds are limited at this point in time,” the dad of three claimed.
Mia has allegedly voiced to her estranged husband that she and an unidentified man are “buying a house together” and planning on “growing businesses together.”
However, he claims to the outlet that the reality star’s romance is “based on monetary gain from the relationship.”
“I absolutely believe that she’s leaving me because she sees an upgrade,” Gordon alleged.
“My desire is to never, ever, ever be associated with her again beyond our co-parenting situation. If we end up getting back together, it will only truly be for some advantage for the kids. It wouldn’t be for love.”

Lauryn Hill has announced more dates for the highly anticipated Fugees reunion.
As previously reported, Lauryn Hill is going on a world tour to celebrate the 25th anniversary of her transcendent solo debut album.
According to a social post, the legendary emcee will be extending her tour for an additional 10 shows.
The North American leg begins Oct 13 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut and runs through Dec.13 in Boston. Several dates are sold out in certain cities, including Brooklyn, New York; Washington, D.C.; Chicago; Los Angeles; Oakland, California; and Seattle.

Hill reflected on the anniversary in a lengthy Instagram post. “25 years ago today, the Miseducation of Lauryn Hill was released to the world. Perhaps even more importantly, the album served as part of the soundtrack of 90’s music that would help encourage and guide a generation,” she wrote.
She continued, “I grew up loving music, particularly the music that was commonly referred to as ‘oldies’ or ‘golden oldies’, ‘classics’. This constituted the Doo Wop, Gospel-inspired Soul music, and rock classics that my parents grew up on. To me, these records were new despite being vintage. They were topical, melodically sophisticated and romantic. They incited joy and tenderness but often introspection and inspiration to action. In 1998 it was my turn to make a record, and I wanted to join as many aspects of my musical upbringing and perspective as possible for that time. I had the support and aid of several brilliant and talented people, who if they didn’t play an instrument or sing, were brilliant in supporting, encouraging, and moving with the urgency necessary to help a movement take root, and an album become a classic. Rihanna Is Unfazed By Drake's Diss, Showing PDA With A$AP Rocky At Birthday Bash
Rihanna appeared to be unfazed by Drake's alleged diss. After her former boyfriend was speculated to have thrown shades at her on his track "Fear Of Heights", the "Love on the Brain" songstress was still seen having fun with her partner and rapper A$AP Rocky.
On Friday night, October 6, the 35-year-old singer was in good spirits as she celebrated her rapper beau's belated birthday at a party. In a video from the festivities, she packed on the PDA with the spitter, who turned 35 years old on October 3, before party guests. The clip also showed the two having a blast and dancing together.
During the birthday celebration, Rihanna looked stylish in a nearly all blue-and-white ensemble. She put on a busty display in a black bra top under a long-sleeved white shirt that came with a plunging neckline. Over her shirt, she put on an unbuttoned blue jeans jacket.
The "Umbrella" singer added a pair of long blue wide-leg jeans, two layers of sparkling necklaces, a huge shimmering ring, a pair of white pearl-drop earrings, black sunglasses and matching flat shoes to complete her look. Her hair was styled into waves, and her fingernails were polished in a bright red color.
All the while, Rocky went with an oversized get-up. He sported an unbuttoned ivory suit over a white tee. He also wore a pair of long matching tailored pants and glossy black leather shoes as well as a brown bag. To accessorize his look, he added a chain necklace, a pair of earrings and black shades.

Rich Paul Thinks Adele May Find His Memoir 'Difficult' To Read
Rich Paul thinks his memoir was a "difficult" read for Adele. The 41-year-old sports agent, who has been dating "Someone Like You" songstress for more than two years, explained that it could be tough for her to read his autobiography "Lucky Me" because of how he details his upbringing with a drug addict mother.
He told PEOPLE, "It was one of the toughest things for me to relive and write about. I had built up this wall as a young kid. Just have the understanding to move forward and know that she’s not going to be there. Like, Mom is not coming home. The thing about it is I was never really a kid. It was very emotional. I think a lot of it probably hit home, so yeah, it was a difficult read for [Adele]."
The Klutch Sports Group founder, who has three children from a previous relationship whilst Adele has 10-year-old Angelo with ex-husband Simon Konecki, went on to add that these days he is "happy" with his life as he recalled that his father Rich Paul Sr. set a "great example" for him growing up. He said, "I'm happy in all aspects of my life."
"I've always been somebody that never allowed things to get to me," he continued. "I had a great example of who a man should be and what a man should do. I had a front row seat to what work ethic was like, what perseverance was like. The “Breathe Again” singer has much to celebrate this year, as her Braxtoni Productions inked an all-encompassing deal with Lifetime and A&E in April.

After wrapping up the latest run of her Jazz + Piano residency on October 5, the 37-year-old entertainer and her tech entrepreneur boyfriend spent their weekend at Katy Perry and U2‘s shows.
On Friday night (Oct. 6), Gaga , Michael, and her manager Bobby Campbell attended Katy‘s PLAY residency show at the Resorts World Las Vegas, as seen in a video shared by a fan on Twitter. Katy will be ending her residency on Nov. 4.
Then on Saturday night (Oct. 7), Gaga, Michael, and a group of their friends were spotted up in the VIP section of the newly opened The Sphere venue for U2‘s show.
During the show, U2‘s frontman Bono reportedly gave Gaga a special shout-out.
“I better sing these notes right, Lady Gaga is in the house tonight,” Bono said during the show, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
If you didn’t know, Gaga and Michael confirmed that they were a couple in February 2020. However, they keep their relationship largely out of the public eye.

To elaborately make the claims that Brown is the baby’s father legitimate, she posted screenshots of their DMs from Instagram, posted a picture of an ultrasound, and a picture of herself with a baby bump.
She also posted a TikTok “How It Started” video, posting screenshots of the aforementioned direct messages. Plenty of fans commented on a No Jumper post regarding the situation, talking about how Brown is “the worst baby daddy to secure”.

To go along with the picture of the ultrasound, Jewez is parading these photos and allegations around while accusing AB of avoiding a DNA test, which she claims is only making him look more guilty of being the father of her unborn child.
Antonio Brown, who already has 5 kids with his only baby mother, Chelsie Kyriss, has since remained mostly silent on the matter of him potentially having child on the way, which should only be more alarming for Brown, considering he normally has something to say about anything and will speak on everything.
The same man who went about posting Tom Brady’s ex-wife Giselle Bundchen during their public divorce, insinuating that he slept with her to upset Tom Brady, hasn’t had a legitimate word to say about an OnlyFans model claiming she’s having his kid.

Nia Long Calls Out Celtics and Ime Udoka’s Mistress Kathleen Nimmo Lynch
Long was devastated when the news of her then-fiance’s cheating scandal took the internet by storm. That was the last thing she expected Udoka would ever do to her.
The cheating scandal had far-reaching repercussions: not only did Long’s relationship with Udoka come to an abrupt end, but Udoka also lost his job as head coach of the Celtics.
Long, 52, and Udoka were engaged for 10 years, so it is understandable why the “Best Man” actress would still be heartbroken following their breakup. Prisoners Busted with Cell Phones During Emergency Alert Test
*Inmates at prisons across the U.S. were busted with cell phones during the nationwide test of emergency alert systems on Oct. 4.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency and FCC conducted the tests to ensure the systems were effective at communicating warnings to the public, the Mirror reports. The EAS sent a test to hundreds of millions of radios, televisions, and cell phones. Both a test message and a loud alert sound were sent to mobile devices.
Prison guards were able to easily identify inmates with contraband cell phones when the alert noise rang out, TMZ reports.
The alert message said: “THIS IS A TEST of the National Wireless Emergency Alert System. The purpose is to maintain and improve alert and warning capabilities at the federal, state, local, tribal and territorial levels and to evaluate the nation’s public alert and warning capabilities. No action is required by the public.”
Two phones were confiscated at Sing Sing Correctional Facility and phones were found at FCI Coleman Low in Florida during the emergency test, TMZ reports.
Some prisoners were likely aware the alert was gonna happen and turned off their devices so they didn’t get confiscated.
In related news, the nationwide emergency alert test resulted in several Amish men being shunned after they were outed for having smartphones.
Some Amish communities prohibit technology of any kind, this includes phones and computers. According to ex-Amish TikToker Eli Yoder, “Several Amish men got shunned by the Amish Church for having smartphones in their pocket when the emergency alert system went off,” he said in an October 4 TikTok, Complex reports.
According to Yoder, “quite a few Amish men” have contacted him about obtaining cell phones.
“Whenever they request to have a phone, I’ll do everything I can to try to get them a phone,” he continued. “Not always can I do so, but in some circumstances I have been able to get them a phone.”
Several of these men contacted Yoder after the alert test exposed them as cell phone owners.
“[They] said, ‘Hey, I’m gonna have to lay low for a while, I just got shunned,’” Yoders shared. “I said, ‘How’d that happen?’ They said, ‘Hey, that emergency alert that went off? Yeah, we had our phones on vibrate and it still went off.’”
He continued: “One guy said the elders were coming in his driveway and they were there to speak with him about something they heard about him, that he might have to get shunned. Right as that was going on, the alert went off and it was in his pocket. Now he’s getting shunned for both. Whatever they were after to shun him and also the cell phone.”
Taylor Swift Misses Chiefs-Vikings Game, Travis Kelce Sustains Apparent Ankle Injury

While Swift was not there to cheer on Kelce in person, as she has for the last two Chiefs games, the tight end seemingly tripped on the field’s turf and sustained a non-contact injury. Kelce was seen leaving the field, throwing off his helmet and heading to the locker room.
Kelce returned to the sideline with a securely wrapped right ankle.
Commentator Tracy Wolfson gave an update: “Travis Kelce is still on the sideline right now, but as you can see, helmet on, that right foot is wrapped up. I was just told he’s gonna try and give it a go. They’re leaving it up to him. He wants to play in this game, guys.”
Kelce reportedly suffered what is assumed to be high ankle sprain. Reports said that medical staff cleared Kelce to return if he wanted to. He ultimately rejoined the game and, soon after his return, scored a touchdown.
“Kelce comes off the X-ray table and finds the endzone,” the announcer said.
Celebrity Chef Michael Chiarello Dies From Allergic Reaction
Former Food Network chef Michael Chiarello passed away this weekend after suffering an allergic reaction.
According to his company, Chiarello died Saturday while being treated at the Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa, CA as the result of a fatal allergy attack.
Gruppo Chiarello announced Sunday what led up to their founder’s death, saying an acute allergic reaction resulted in anaphylactic shock, TMZ reported. They also say he was surrounded by friends and family in his final moments.
It’s unclear if the allergic reaction was food-related.
“We deeply mourn the loss of our beloved patriarch Michael,” the Chiarello family said in a statement. “His culinary brilliance, boundless creativity, and unwavering commitment to family were at the core of his being. He brought people together through the joy of shared meals, fostering lasting memories around the table.”
“As we navigate this profound loss, we hold dear the moments we cherished with him, both in his kitchens and in our hearts. His legacy will forever live on in the love he poured into every dish and the passion he instilled in all of us to savor life’s flavors,” Gruppo Chiarello ended.
The star chef had a long run on the TV show, “Easy Entertaining With Michael Chiarello,” which aired for 10 seasons on Food Network. He was also featured on hit series like “Top Chef,” “Chopped,” “The Next Iron Chef” and more, as well as appearances on other talk shows.
He’s survived by his wife, Eileen, and his four children. Michael was 61.
