#RHOA: Kenya Moore Strikes a Pose In New Photo with Her Daughter Brooklyn
Kenya Moore won Miss USA back in 1993, but she’d better watch out, because someone rather close to her may be after that crown.
“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star shared an adorable photo of herself with her daughter, Brooklyn Doris Daly, and fans are certain the clap-back queen has a pageant winner in the making.
Moore and the 4-year-old wore different shades of pink as their dresses flowed with the wind. The preschooler seemed to have learned a few things about posing from her mother because they mimicked each other as each lady lifted one leg.
“You are never alone when you walk by faith,” Moore captioned the post.
The photo received over 62,000 likes and over 800 comments from fans about the mother-daughter duo. Fellow ‘Housewives’ Shereé Whitfield, Chanel Ayan, Drew Sidora, and Candiace Dilliard also chimed in, sharing an array of heart-eye emojis. But many focused solely on Kenya’s mini-me.

Earlier this year, Moore said her daughter meant “the world” to her while discussing her traumatic childhood background on Fox’s new show, “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.”
“I had her very late in life, and I wanted to be the type of mom to my daughter that I never had,” Moore voiced.
During the fourth episode, the 52-year-old discussed being raised by her grandmother, Doris Grant, after her mother, Patricia Moore, abandoned her.
Patricia and Moore’s father, Ronald Grant, had her when they were both very young. This caused Doris to come in and raise Moore as her own.
“I wasn’t raised by my mom,” Moore said in the episode. “My mother didn’t want to have me, so my grandmother asked if she could have me. But after that my mother just kind of like pretended that she never had a child.”
Since her childhood, Patricia and Moore have been estranged for years though they continue working on their relationship. As an act of good faith, Patricia sent her granddaughter a gift for her first birthday.
The reality diva shares her only child with her estranged husband, Marc Daly. The strained couple welcomed their daughter in 2018, one year before they decided to split. Moore filed for divorce in 2021 but it has yet to be finalized.
Fans can prepare to watch Moore and her daughter in the upcoming season of “RHOA,” which debuts May 7.
#MusicNews: The Weeknd Announces New Project 'The Idol Vol. 1'
A new era is approaching for The Weeknd. The XO crooner has officially announced his next project The Idol Vol. 1. Taking to his social accounts, he shared a clip of himself in the studio with Mike Dean working on a cinematic track.
“THE IDOL VOL. 1 💿 coming soon,” he tweeted.
While he didn’t provide further details, it appears that the multi-part album will serve as a companion to his upcoming HBO series, which he created with “Euphoria’s” Sam Levinson.
Earlier in the week, he previewed two new songs on Instagram Live including a collaboration with Future, which is called “Jealous Guy.” The other song, “Double Fantasy,” features Mike Dean on saxophone and samples John Lennon’s song of the same name. He also shared a series of photos of the late Beatle on Instagram.
It’s unclear where The Idol Vol. 1 will fall in The Weeknd’s discography. Following the release of Dawn FM in January, he told fans that they were “experiencing a new trilogy.”
The Weeknd has yet to announce a premiere date for “The Idol.” The series was greenlit back in November 2021, but has been plagued by controversy and delays.
While he readies new music, Abel will return to the road this summer for the European leg of his “After Hours Till Dawn Tour,” which kicks off in June. If you’re at Coachella, you can catch him performing during Metro Boomin’s set on Friday.
#HipHopNews: Offset Pays Tribute To Takeoff With New Tattoo
Offset will always have Takeoff’s back. While he may be gone, Offset is keeping Takeoff’s memory alive with some new ink. Taking to Instagram, he revealed the huge tattoo which covers his entire back and features a portrait of his late cousin framed by a halo in a galaxy of planets.
“Love you 4L & after 🚀🤍🕊️,” Offset wrote in his caption.
Offset recently previewed a new collaboration with Icewear Vezzo that features a posthumous verse from Takeoff. The song could appear on his upcoming album, which was delayed in the wake of Takeoff’s death in November.
The follow-up to his 2019 solo debut Father of 4 previously spawned tracks including the Baby Keem-produced “54321” and “Code” featuring Moneybagg Yo.
Meanwhile, Quavo is paying tribute to Takeoff in his own way. He recently announced that his upcoming album will be titled Rocket Power, a nod to his late nephew.
During his Coachella set on Saturday, Calvin Harris also paid homage to the late Migos MC by debuting an unreleased verse from Takeoff that didn’t appear on the final version of “Slide,” his 2017 collaboration with Migos and Frank Ocean.
E-40 ejected from Warriors-Kings Game 1, alleges racial bias as reason
Bay Area rapper and noted Warriors fan E-40 was ejected from Saturday night's NBA playoff game at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento and, in a statement the next morning, alleged racial bias as the reason behind his removal.
Video of E-40's ejection posted by a fan shows him talking to security and then being escorted out of the arena. He then talks to fans in the crowd by the Warriors' bench while on his way out of the building.
The Vallejo native shared his point of view on what happened in a statement to The Athletic's Shams Charania on Sunday, and called for the Kings to investigate the incident.
"On Saturday night, I was subjected to disrespectful heckling over the course of the Warriors-Kings game in Sacramento," E-40 said in the statement. "During the fourth quarter, I finally turned around and addressed one heckler in an assertive but polite manner. Yet, shortly thereafter, Kings' security team approached me, assumed that I instigated the encounter and proceeded to kick me out of the arena.
"Unfortunately, it was yet another reminder that -- despite my success and accolades as a musician and entrepreneur -- racial bias remains prevalent. Security saw a disagreement between a Black man and a white woman and immediately assumed that I was at fault.
"I've attended countless NBA games throughout my lifetime and have always prided myself in professionalism, so this experience has been jarring. I was absolutely humiliated by the Kings' security team and I'm calling on the franchise to investigate the appalling conduct that transpired.
"I'm truly grateful for my fans and supporters who have reached out to express their concern and disappointment regarding these disheartening circumstances and I hope those involved are held accountable for their behavior."
The Kings later issued a statement to Charania, which reads:
"The Sacramento Kings take these claims seriously and are investigating the facts and circumstances regarding the situation, as we do anytime an accusation like this is made."
Andscape’s Marc J. Spears cited sources in reporting that arena security believed E-40 stood excessively, blocking the view of fans behind him and refused to comply with a warning after many complaints. A source close to E-40, however, told Spears that security never gave the rapper a warning for standing excessively.
Game 2 of the first-round series is scheduled for Monday night in Sacramento.
SpaceX postpones Starship orbital launch attempt
SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, Texas — Elon Musk’s SpaceX was eyeing Monday to launch its towering Starship rocket to space for the first time from a private facility in Texas along the Gulf Coast. But with under 15 minutes left in the countdown, the company announced a “scrub,” postponing the launch for at least 48 hours.
The Starship orbital launch is the culmination of several years of regulatory work and technological tests. Company leadership has repeatedly stressed the experimental nature of the launch. SpaceX had hoped to conduct the first orbital Starship launch as early as summer 2021, but delays in development and FAA approval pushed back the timeline.
Will Smith Is Back In Action Filming ‘Bad Boys 4’ with Martin Lawrence In New Photos
Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are back together after reuniting on the set of their highly-anticipated film, “Bad Boys 4.”
The two actors have reportedly been spotted in Atlanta filming the fourth installment of their beloved movie franchise, which was confirmed earlier this year.
On Wednesday, April 11, images of the two actors began circulating on the Internet, which shows Smith seemingly on his way to film a scene dressed as his character, Detective Mike Lowrey.
The 54-year-old can be seen smiling from ear to ear as he exited his trailer wearing a black short-sleeve button-down shirt that he left open and paired with a black tank top underneath. In typical Mike Lowrey fashion, he wore a silver watch and a matching chain around his neck.
His longtime costar Lawrence showed up as Detective Marcus Miles Burnett rocking a burgundy tracksuit as he stepped out of a truck and appeared to just be arriving on set.
In the images shared by the Daily Mail, actor John Salley, who appeared in the first “Bad Boys” and “Bad Boys 2,” can also be seen coming out of his trailer. He sat out for “Bad Boys for Life.”
The “L.A.’s Finest” star can be seen in a casual black graphic tee, dark jeans, and an olive green hoodie.
Jerry Bruckheimer, the film’s producer, was also caught on set rocking a black jean jacket, a blue button-up, blue jeans, and dark shades. According to Deadline Magazine, “Euphoria” star Eric Dane is also set to join Smith and Lawrence in “Bay Boys 4” as the villain.
Fans react to the news, noting how excited they were for “Bad Boys 4” and how much they’ve missed seeing both entertainers together.

The fourth installment comes 28 years after the first film’s release on Friday, April 7. It follows two detectives as they protect a murder witness while investigating how $100 million worth of heroin was stolen from their police precinct.
“Bad Boys” made over $141 million worldwide, despite Sony Pictures’ alleged belief that the movie wouldn’t do well. Allegedly, the company felt having two Black male leads would not attract popularity overseas, per the film’s director, Michael Bay.
Fans adored the action/comedy film so much that producers followed up with 2003’s “Bad Boys II” and “Bad Boys for Life,” which was released in 2020. The franchise has grossed over $840 million globally between all three films.
“Can’t wait for y’all to see what we got cookin’ for number 4,” wrote Lawrence and Smith in a shared post on Instagram earlier this month. “Shoutout to @shutterauthority for getting us back in action.” It also features special effects video they intended to release as an announcement for “Bad Boys 4.”
Before January came to a close, Lawrence and Smith sent the Internet into a frenzy after announcing their return to the big screen as Marcus and Mike.

Fantasia Barrino’s newest post has given fans the secret weapons to her current weight loss.
On April 14, the singer and actress shared an Instagram video that documents her transformation over the last eight months. The clip features photos and videos of Barrino to show how she transformed her noticeably thinner appearance in the gym. One features a screenshot from a video call between her and celebrity trainer Sonya D.
To help her stay in shape, the “When I See You” songstress said she’s also been taking wellness supplements from a company called Boujee Hippie. The brand also sells detox products, shapewear and apparel.
“Ever since I’ve been taking my boujee gummies, working out with Sonya, eating clean umm it’s been a road,” she said. “I am all muscle, and I always talked about that third baby was hard it’s been hard getting that weight off. And I would say at 38, ya girl is bouncing back, okay.”
Barrino has three children. This includes a 21-year-old daughter, Zion Quari, from a previous relationship and 11-year-old son Dallas Xavier with ex-boyfriend Antwaun Cook. She and her husband Kendall Taylor have a daughter, Keziah Taylor, who turns two in May.
In her video, Barrino credited her hubby for “telling me every day how good I’m looking.” While showing off bottles of her dietary supplements, she said, “I’m telling you, my stomach has went all the way down. Flat, flat,” she said, laughing.

It appears Barrino has been focusing on leveling up physically and mentally over the past year. In February, she revealed that she was going back to school after dropping out at age 14.
The “American Idol” season-three winner is currently attending Central State University, according to People magazine. She also shared that her sorority sister Yvonne supported her throughout her new and exciting journey.
Last November, Barrino was inducted into Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., as an honorary member. This came months after she announced that she was cast to play the lead in the upcoming film adaptation of the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical for “The Color Purple.”
She will play Celie, the role that Whoopi Goldberg portrayed in the 1985 film of the same title. Oprah Winfrey played Sofia in the film, which was based on Alice Walker’s 1982 novel.

Hundreds demand hate crime charges against Kansas City man who shot Black teen

Ralph Yarl was shot Thursday when he mistakenly rang the doorbell of a home in Clay County. He was trying to pick up his brothers, who were at an address about a block away. Yarl is currently recovering at a local hospital.
Protesters demanded the shooter's arrest and said Kansas City police don't do enough to protect Black children. Police Chief Stacey Graves said they need a statement from the victim before they can proceed with any possible charges.
Hundreds of people gathered at NE 115th Street in Kansas City’s Northland to protest the shooting of a 16-year-old boy last week. As they stood in front of the house where he was shot, protestors chanted for justice and demanded prosecution of the shooter for what they called a hate crime.
The boy, who family has identified as Ralph Yarl, was on his way to pick up his twin brothers from a friend's house and arrived at the wrong address, about a block away. According to a Go Fund Me by his aunt Faith Spoonmore, after Yarl rang the doorbell at the wrong address, the homeowner shot him in the head through a glass door and again after he fell to the ground.
Yarl is in the hospital in critical condition, but alive, according to the family. The homeowner is currently free. They have not yet been charged with a crime.
Justice Gatson, founder and director of Reale Justice Network, said Yarl’s case is proof that law enforcement doesn’t adequately protect Black people.
“We cannot and we will not be silent when Black children are under attack,” Gatson said. “As a mother of three children, this enrages me. My son delivers food every morning. And sometimes you go to the wrong address. You should never have to worry that your life will be taken.”
While protesters demanded justice, they also rallied around Yarl and his family. Spoonmore thanked the protestors and said she hoped the event would show the shooter that he won’t get away with it.
“Ralph will feel a lot of love because this is a lot of people,” Spoonmore said. “This is exactly what that man (the shooter) did not want to happen today. But you know what? Ralph is alive. He is healing. It is not the story that that individual intended for us to tell. We are telling a story that is different from the stories that you normally hear — he is healing. We have a lot to be thankful for that. There is a lot of hate. This right here is a lot of love and that is what God intentioned when he saved his life from over there.”
According to police, officers were called to a residence in Clay County on April 13 just before 10 p.m. where Yarl was shot in front of a house by the homeowner. He was transported to a hospital for his injuries, which were described as life-threatening.
Police did not confirm how many times Yarl was shot.
The homeowner was taken into custody and placed on a 24-hour hold, according to police. Detectives processed the scene and recovered the firearm. The shooter was released after the hold.
As protesters were gathering at the scene of the incident, Kansas City Police Chief Stacey Graves held a press conference at police headquarters downtown. She said the homeowner was released pending further investigation because they needed a formal statement from the victim and to gather more forensic evidence before sending a case file to the Clay County prosecutor. Graves said that statement is planned as soon as Yarl is recovered enough from his injuries.
“The vast majority of cases to include violent crime involve the suspect being released, pending further investigation. In this case, the prosecutor requires more information from investigators that would take more than 24 hours to compile,” Graves said. “We recognize the frustration this can cause in the entire criminal justice process.”
Missouri passed a “Stand Your Ground” bill in 2016. Under the law, a person may use physical force if they reasonably believe they are under threat and have no duty to retreat. According to a study released last year, homicides drastically rose in Missouri after the law was enacted.
Dee Porter, an organizer with The People’s Coalition, helped plan the protest. Yarl’s family and protestors believe the shooter left town after being released from police custody. Porter said that should have never been allowed to happen.
“I need them to hold him accountable, he needs to be prosecuted,” Porter said. “This is a child. He didn't appear scary to me. Something has to be done because (Yarl) posed no threat. He should not be allowed to sit in his home and take a vacation. I heard he's in a cabin somewhere, but he needs to be prosecuted.”
Graves said KCPD was not concerned that the homeowner was a flight risk.
She said the department has been in touch with Yarl’s family and have been informing them about the process moving forward. Graves, Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas and Clay County Prosecutor Zachary Thompson said several times during the press conference that a thorough and full investigation is underway.
While she did not confirm the race of the shooter, Graves said she knew the racial tension that is at play. In video messages shared by the Kansas City Defender, Spoonmore says the homeowner was white.
“As chief of police, I do recognize the racial components of this case. I do recognize and understand the community's concern and the community's response to this particular incident,” Graves said.
Hundreds gathered outside the home of a Northland man who shot a Black teen last week after he rang the doorbell. Police let the shooter go with no charges after a 24-hour hold, but protestors are demanding charges.
Theo Davis, a pastor with Restore Community Church, where Spoonmore attends, told KCUR he hopes the shooting will be a turning point in Kansas City.
“I hope that more attention can get brought to the surface of the racial tension that's in Kansas City as well as the rest of our nation because it's always just bubbling just below the surface," Davis said. "I hope people, my white siblings, are not easily offended every time someone brings up the possibility of racism. Because the reality is that racism is something that happens on a daily basis in our community. We need to listen to each other's stories and adapt so that we can avoid more tragedies from happening.”
Lucas said the department is aware of race in this investigation — more so, he alluded, than the department under previous KCPD leadership.
“Part of the reason I think you see the department here and speaking is one, to make clear — in perhaps ways different from the past — that that is understood. I know that there are officers who are present actually at the community event now and not there as security, not there to defend homes, instead there to listen and to engage with the people who are there, the people who have concerns,” Lucas said. Lucas also reiterated that KCPD is taking this case seriously.
“This is not something that has been dismissed, marginalized and diminished in any way. This is getting the full attention of the Kansas City Police Department and while tragically not the only shooting last week in Kansas City, it's one that is getting substantial attention.”
Protestor Daryl Baker said the fact that the shooter has not been charged yet shows a lack of urgency on the side of the KCPD in getting justice for Yarl.
“I believe that a precedent needs to be set (with an arrest),” Baker said. “We're all neighbors to one another. And it's not uncommon for someone to ring a doorbell, but that shouldn't equate to someone being shot. In being good neighbors, we have to exist together. It could be anyone that something like this occurs and happens to.”
Yarl’s family described him as a quiet and gentle kid who loved music. He is a member of the Technology Student Association and Science Olympiad Team, according to the family’s GoFundMe page.
He is also in his school’s jazz and competition band and a section leader in the marching band. Yarl recently earned Missouri All-State Band recognition and plays multiple instruments in the metropolitan youth orchestra.
Spoonmore believes her nephew will make a full recovery, but she said most Black boys who are subjected to violence like this aren’t as lucky. She said she knows Yarl will feel the love of the protestors as he eventually works towards physical, mental and emotional healing from the attack.
“We have a great community and we're celebrating that,” Spoonmore said. “He's healing, and this is about love. Right now he is alive and he's healing.”
Jamie Foxx undergoing testing in Atlanta where he remains hospitalized after experiencing a medical emergency
Despite rampant online speculation, little remains known about the health scare Jamie Foxx experienced earlier this week. A source who spoke with CNN on Friday (April 14) said the Academy Award-winning actor remains under observation at a hospital in Atlanta.
“They are running tests and still trying to figure out what exactly happened,” said the person with intimate knowledge of the ongoing health issue. In a message to fans posted to Instagram on Wednesday (April 12), Corinne Foxx, Jamie’s oldest daughter, wrote, “We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday [April 11]. Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery.” She went on to ask for privacy. A source who spoke with People corroborated claims of Jamie’s continued recovery, stating that he is “steadily improving.”
Jamie was in Atlanta alongside Cameron Diaz and Glenn Close to work on their upcoming Netflix action-comedy Back in Action. At least one day of filming was canceled as the crew rebounded from the medical emergency. Jamie and Diaz previously worked together in 1999’s Any Given Sunday and again in 2014 on Annie. During an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” she sang her co-star’s praises. “He’s so great, he’s easy, he’s so professional, he’s so talented,” she said. #BoxOfficeNews: Super Mario Bros is the BIG Winner at the weekend box office
As we noted earlier this weekend, The Super Mario Bros. Movie is making all of the money (or “coins”), approaching $350 million domestic after just two weeks as it climbs (as if on a hidden vine to a secret area in the clouds) up the ranks of the most successful animated films of all time. It made $87 million this weekend, a not-super-bad 40 percent drop from last week, and even with almost a dozen new movies on the charts this week (mostly in limited rollouts), nothing even came remotely close to taking Mario’s top spot.
Second place went to The Pope’s Exorcist, which made $9 million and will most likely just be remembered as the movie that gave us that funny/awesome photo of star Russell Crowe on a scooter. After that is John Wick: Chapter 4 with nearly $8 million, settling in with $160 million after four weeks, followed by Renfield and Air with $7.7 million each (Air is at $33 million in its second week).

The second five has Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves with $7 million (it’s almost at $75 million after three weeks), newcomer Mafia Mamma with $2 million, oldcomer Scream VI with $1.4 million ($106 million after six weeks), newcomer Nefarious made $1.3 (it’s a faith-based horror movie, so… be warned), and the similarly churchy His Only Son made $518,000 (though it’s historical churchy, not “cameo from Glen Beck modern right-wing churchy” like Nefarious is). Further down the list, opening in 13th place with $320,000, is Ari Aster’s film Twitter-destroying Beau Is Afraid, which got a whopping $80,000 per-screen average. 'Love is Blind' live reunion was delayed as Netflix pleads for patience
Netflix's highly anticipated live reunion Sunday for the season 4 cast of its reality dating show "Love is Blind" has been delayed after technical issues kept eager fans waiting.
Eventually, Netflix opted to tape the show for streaming, announcing it would be available globally at 3 pm ET Monday.
"To everyone who stayed up late, woke up early, gave up their Sunday afternoon... we are incredibly sorry that the Love is Blind Live Reunion did not turn out as we had planned," Netflix tweeted in a statement. "We're filming it now and we'll have it on Netflix as soon as humanly possible. Again, thank you and sorry."
The second live show in Netflix's history was expected to start at 8 p.m. ET Sunday. A couple minutes after its scheduled start time, Netflix tweeted: "Love is ... late. #LoveIsBlindLIVE will be on in 15 minutes!"
A few minutes later, the streaming service promised the show "will be worth the wait...." When Netflix subscribers tried to access the stream, they were met with a screen that said, "It's almost time! The live event will start soon."
The company isn't used to airing live events like many of its streaming competitors. The only live show to air on Netflix came on March 4 when it live-streamed "Chris Rock: Selective Outrage," a standup special from the comedian. That streamed without a hitch.
Netflix's rivals have found success with live streaming. Amazon Prime started airing Thursday Night Football last year. Apple TV+ partners with Major League Baseball for select games. And other competitors have gotten into the live space, as well.
But Netflix has been notoriously resistant -- not because of technological hurdles, but because the company has repeatedly said live broadcast rights, particularly for sports, come at a high cost. Still, Netflix had a rough 2022, losing subscribers as consumer behavior shifted. The company started experimenting with live broadcasts as the media landscape continues to shift.
As the world waited for the reunion episode, hosted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey, the silly and biting social media posts started to roll in.
Among the angry fans was New York Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, whom Netflix retweeted.
Blockbuster, the bankrupt former video store, tweeted: "Remember renting vhs' from us. You could start it on time no problem... This is what we get."
The "Love is Blind" series features couples that propose before seeing one another. It helped the company solidify its reality TV chops when it started streaming three years ago, at a time when traditional network and broadcast television were essentially the only places to get a reality fix.
'Wicked' director Jon M. Chu shares first look of film starring Ariana Grande
The first installment of Wicked's two-part film adaptation won't hit theaters for roughly another year and a half — Nov. 27, 2024, to be exact — but director Jon M. Chu has given fans a little something to tide them over in the meantime.
On Sunday, Chu took to Twitter to share the first glimpse of the upcoming film, which is based on the 2003 Tony-winning musical inspired by Gregory Maguire's 1995 literary take on Oz, Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West.
The two photos shared by Chu each feature the musical fantasy film's co-leads. In the first, Oscar-nominated actress Cynthia Erivo is unrecognizable in green makeup and a witch's costume as Elphaba (a.k.a. the future Wicked Witch of the West). The second shot, meanwhile, sees pop star Ariana Grande sporting one of her own trademarks — a ponytail, albeit one dyed blond — ascending a staircase in a pink ball gown while in character as Glinda, later known as the Good Witch. Erivo and Grande take over from the Broadway production's original stars, Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth, respectively.
"You weren't told the whole story," Chu's tweet reads. "What happens when you veer off the Yellow Brick Road?
The sneak peek has already kicked off a Twitter storm — with some commenters questioning Grande's ponytail, others the dark lighting — and fueled anticipation for the film and its eventual sequel. As previously reported, newly minted Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh has been cast as Madame Morrible, while Jeff Goldblum, Bowen Yang and Jonathan Bailey round out the cast.

Countess Vaughn reposted an article about the lawsuit Mo’Nique filed and fans took that as she was support to the actress and comedian. Mo’Nique caught wind of her repost and shared it to her Instagram saying, “It was an honor to work with you for 5 years and it’s an honor to STAND WITH YOU TO GET WHAT WE ARE OWED FROM THE LAST 24 YEARS. In this industry the goal is to hit 100 episodes so you can go into syndication, our show did 110 episodes. WE ARE THE PARKER, I LOVE US 4REAL.” She stated.
As previously reported, when Mo’Nique first made the announcement she shared it to her IG followers saying,“Today we filed a lawsuit to make sure that we are fairly paid money that we are owed for The Parkers.” She wrote. “Actors rely on the good faith of Hollywood Companies to honor their profit participation agreements. The Parkers was a huge success and continues to be a source of revenue through syndication and streaming channels.”
She continued, “To further make my point the Executive Producers of The Parkers took legal action for the same concerns that I have, and they’ve already settled. Unfortunately, all too often, talent gets kept in the dark. We’re looking forward shedding some light on the subject! I LOVE US 4REAL!!”
The show was well-received by audiences and helped launch the careers of Mo’Nique and Countess Vaughn. It was also notable for its diverse cast and storylines that tackled issues such as sexuality, race, and class.
Overall, “The Parkers” was a popular and successful sitcom during its five-season run, and it continues to be enjoyed by audiences through reruns and streaming platforms.

Anheuser-Busch CEO says Bud Light partnership with trans influencer wasn't meant to divide
Anheuser-Busch's chief executive on Friday responded to the backlash against Bud Light's partnership with trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney, saying its intention wasn't to divide Americans.
"We never intended to be part of a discussion that divides people," CEO Brendan Whitworth said in a statement. "We are in the business of bringing people together over a beer."
The company had sponsored a post this month on Mulvaney's Instagram account that promoted Bud Light’s March Madness contest.
"Just found out this had to do with sports and not just saying it's a crazy month!" the 26-year-old TikTok star wrote as part of the post.
Some responded with anger, condemning the beer maker for sponsoring the trans woman.
Videos were posted online showing consumers dumping cans and bottles of Bud Light in trash bins and down sinks. Some recorded themselves destroying cans of the beer.
Mulvaney, a stage performer who rocketed to fame last year by documenting her gender transition in a TikTok series she calls "Days of Girlhood," has not directly responded to the backlash, but addressed the climate for LGBTQ+ people in the United States on the podcast "Onward with Rosie O'Donnell" on Tuesday.
She said the environment has become more hostile and threatening since she started her transition in San Diego County during the pandemic.
"I had watched it get so much worse as my timeline has gone on," Mulvaney said. "I'm an easy target because I'm so new to this. Anything right now trans-related will be used against you."
Many have noted that Bud Light and its parent company have long supported LGBTQ+ organizations and events.
"Including our community in marketing is nothing new, but what is new is the extreme right-wing politicization of a company's creative and business decisions," CEO Sarah Kate Ellis of GLAAD, one of the world's largest LGBTQ+ organizations, said in a statement.
"Companies will not end the standard business practice of including diverse people in ads and marketing because a small number of loud, fringe anti-LGBTQ activists make noise on social media," she said.
Bud Light has partnered with GLAAD for various events and initiatives, including its release of a first-ever rainbow aluminum bottle to celebrate World Pride in 2019.
Whitworth said his company's products are intended as a social binder, not a wedge.
"We have thousands of partners, millions of fans and a proud history of supporting our communities," he said.
“My time serving this country taught me the importance of accountability and the values upon which America was founded: freedom, hard work and respect for one another,” he said in the statement.
Whitworth, who said that he is responsible for ensuring that "every consumer feels proud of the beer we brew," did not explicitly address the partnership in Friday's statement.
"Moving forward, I will continue to bring great beers to consumers across our nation," he said.
A spokesperson for the company had previously said that “Anheuser-Busch works with hundreds of influencers across our brands as one of many ways to authentically connect with audiences across various demographics.”
Jeremy Meeks Wrote His Autobiography and Just Shot a Christmas Movie
Jeremy Meeks has conquered prison, fashion runways and Hollywood. Now the “Hot Felon,” whose perfectly chiseled mug shot famously went viral in 2014, will arrive in bookstores with his new autobiography.
“Model Citizen,” due October 10, chronicles his meteoric rise from poverty to worldwide fame. It will cover his criminal activity before being arrested in 2014, as well as the mug shot that launched his modeling and acting career, and led to him dating and having a child with Topshop heiress Chloe Green.
TMZ caught up with Meeks at Los Angeles International Airport and asked him about his Hollywood success. He said he just got back from filming a Christmas movie, and expressed excitement over the October release of his book.
Jeremy says it’s surreal to see the details of his life in the pages of a book. He hopes to some day adapt the tome into a television series, but not a film. He said it would be impossible to edit his life down to a couple hours or less.
He was born on February 7, 1984 in Takoma, Washington. On June 18, 2014, he and three other men were arrested in Stockton, California in a multi-agency law enforcement mission dubbed Operation Ceasefire. He denied the felony weapon charges. Mug shots for Meeks and the other men were posted the same day on the Stockton Police Department’s Facebook page. Within 24 hours, Meeks’ photo had acquired more than 15,000 “likes” and 3,700 comments, mostly regarding his appearance.
Stockton PD spokesman Joe Silva said that the mugshot had received more attention than any other mugshot since they launched the Facebook page in 2012.
The SNKRS App Hints At Air Jordan 4 ‘Thunder’ Shock Drop
The Air Jordan 4 “Thunder” is slated to release next month, but could a shock drop be coming? Sneaker experts believe there could be a shock drop on the SNKRS app ahead of the official release.
Nike hinted at an early release via the app on Friday. A poll was posted to the SNKRS feed asking, “If the AJ4 ‘Thunder’ dropped early, are you…” and users were given the choices of “Team early” or “Waiting for launch day.” With 406,000 votes, an overwhelming 84% voted for team early.
The black and yellow AJ4 “Thunder” first dropped as a retro plus model in 2006 and was released in 2012. It is slated to once again be released on May 13 in full-family sizing and retail for $210.
In the meantime, keep a close eye on the SNKRS app for a possible shock drop in the coming week.
