#HipHopNews: Missy Elliott Receives Star On Hollywood Walk Of Fame!

Missy Elliott gets her flowers. The rap icon cemented her legendary status when she received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday (Nov. 8).

Friends and family gathered on Hollywood Blvd. to pay tribute to the 50-year-old Grammy-winning rapper, songwriter, and producer, who was honored by Ciara, Lizzo, and her manager Mona Scott-Young during the live-streamed induction ceremony.

Lizzo took the stage while reciting her idol’s “Work It” lyrics. “You are the brightest star in the universe,” she told Missy before breaking down in tears. “I watched you my entire life and I saw a superstar in you, but I also saw myself… You lived so boldly and so beautifully and so unapologetically and so out loud. You have no idea what you have done for so many Black girls.”

Ciara also paid tribute to her “1, 2 Step” collaborator. “We define music genres such as R&B, hip-hop, and pop. And then there’s a genre of Missy,” she said. “Like she says in her classic song, ‘We Run This’—’My style can’t be duplicated or recycled’…There is only one Missy.”

Following the touching tributes, an emotional Missy took the podium to reflect on her iconic career. “Through the grace of God and faith, I’ve kept going. If I hadn’t, I wouldn’t be standing here,” she told the crowd. “I’d come here 20 some years ago and used to walk past all of these stars and just imagine. It’s just a blessing to dream big and it truly happened.”

She dedicated the honor to her “sisters in hip-hop,” including Queen Latifah, Monie Love, Sha-Rock, Angie Stone, Roxanne Shanté, Yo-Yo, MC Lyte, and Salt-N-Pepa. “All of y’all who started before me ’cause y’all are the backs that we stand on, y’all are the foundation,” said Missy. “Y’all ran so we could walk. Y’all stood up for something so we could sit comfortably, so I thank y’all for this moment.”

Travis Scott To Cover Funeral Costs Of Astroworld Victims!

Travis Scott will cover all funeral costs for the eight victims who died at his Astroworld Festival on Friday, according to a statement released Monday by a representative for the rapper and producer.

The Houston-born artist will also partner with BetterHelp to provide free mental health services to all those affected by the tragedy.

"Travis remains in active conversations with the city of Houston, law enforcement and local first responders to respectfully and appropriately connect with the individuals and families of those involved," the statement reads. "These are the first of many steps Travis plans on taking as a part of his personal vow to assist those affected throughout their grieving and recovery process."

Separately, organizers of Astroworld will provide a full refund to all ticketholders -- both those who attended Friday and those who held tickets for Saturday's canceled events, a source close to the situation said Monday.

In a separate statement Monday, Live Nation stated the company is "working on ways to support attendees, the families of victims, and staff" by providing mental health counseling and will help with hospital costs.

Scott took to social media over the weekend and wrote, "I'm absolutely devastated by what took place last night. My prayers go out to the families and all those impacted by what happened at Astroworld Festival."

Scott's partner, Kylie Jenner, was in attendance at the festival and also posted a statement to say that both she and Scott did not know what was happening in the crowd during the performance.

"I want to make it clear we weren't aware of any fatalities until the news came out after the show and in no world would have continued filming or performing," Jenner wrote.

Scott took the stage shortly after 9pm on Friday to perform to 50,000 attendees. Some of those concertgoers described the event as traumatizing, with many witnesses saying they saw lifeless bodies being trampled amid the chaos. The first reports of injuries began at 9:30pm, with Scott continuing to perform until a little after 10pm. He did stop performing at one point when an ambulance was seen driving into the crowd.

Houston Police Chief Troy Finner told CNN that the investigation is ongoing and is asking the community "to be considerate of the grieving families" and to "lift them up in prayer."

Wendy Williams’ Return To Talk Show Delayed Again As She’s Spotted In Wheelchair!

Wendy Williams won’t be returning to her purple chair on The Wendy Williams Show just yet. In a statement released by her show’s production company Debmar-Mercury, it was announced that Williams will continue to be on hiatus through November.

“She is making progress, but is experiencing serious complications as a direct result of Graves’ disease and her thyroid condition,” read the statement. “It has been determined that more time is needed before she is able to return to her live hosting duties.”

After it was announced she wasn’t coming back yet, the gossip queen was spotted in a wheelchair leaving her Manhattan apartment by the papparazzi, which was published by Daily Mail. This is the first time she’s been seen since being released from the hospital.

As she remains at home, more guest hosts will continue to fill in for her. Michael Rappaport, who is a regular guest of the show, will serve as a guest host for part of the week of Nov. 8. After him, comedian Bill Bellamy will take over.

Michael Rapaport will fill in as the show’s host for the week of Nov. 8, and a new panel will take over for just Nov. 15. “A Rich Christmas” comedian Bill Bellamy will then assume the position for the following two days.

“I have always loved being a guest on my friend Wendy’s show!” Bellamy said in a statement according to Page Six. “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be here for her, and I look forward to working with her amazing team.”

Jerry Springer and Steve Wilkos will guest host as well.

Williams is continuing to fight complications bought on by Graves disease. In October, she was diagnosed with a breakthrough case of COVID-19 as well. Williams was scheduled to return back to The Wendy Williams Show on Sept. 20 but after her return kept being pushed back, it was decided the show would go on Oct. 18, with a slew of guest hosts.

Amy Winehouse’s dress from final live show auctioned for $243K

Amy Winehouse’s final performance dress has been sold for quite a pretty penny.

The minidress that the late “Back to Black” singer wore during her final concert in 2011 raked in $243,200 at auction over the weekend.

The green-and-black dress, which was designed by Winehouse’s stylist Naomi Parry, was initially expected to raise between $15,000 and $17,000.

Winehouse’s garment was worn at her last performance in Belgrade, Serbia, in June 2011. She died at the age of 27 from alcohol poisoning just a month later.

Alongside the bamboo-printed frock, more than 800 of the British rocker’s dresses, shoes and jewelry — which she wore over the course of her career — have sold for about $4 million via Julien’s Auctions.

The dress was described by the auction house as a “custom-made figure-hugging halter mini dress” with “bamboo and floral print on silk incorporated into a Spanx dress.”

Frock designer Parry recently told The Post that she felt “an immense amount of sadness” when she saw her design. Winehouse had just been to rehab before her last performance and Parry said, “[The dress] was supposed to be the start of something new and moving forward. She had been doing so well.”

“[The dress] went from symbolizing something new and exciting to absolute devastation,” she continued.

Darren Julien, CEO of Julien’s Auctions, released a statement after the bidding, calling the event a “huge success. Her items have proven to be highly collectible among not only her fans and museums but pop culture memorabilia collectors and we expect her artifacts to increase in value through the years.”

Several items from the auction will be showcased at London’s Design Museum, starting Nov. 26, as part of their “Amy: Beyond the Stage” exhibit. Bidders will receive their purchased collectibles shortly after.

After Winehouse’s passing, her personal objects went into storage and weren’t unearthed until January 2020, when her family decided to auction off her belongings.

“It was costing [her family] an arm and a leg, and it was just miserable to see this stuff sat here. We all agreed, there was just so much of it,” Parry explained. “What is the point of having it in the locker when it could make money for the foundation and raise awareness? And do an exhibition with it at the same time?”

The proceeds from the auction will benefit the Amy Winehouse Foundation, an organization that helps youth who are battling addiction.

The Grammy Museum unveiled the “Beyond Black: The Style of Amy Winehouse” exhibit in January 2020 to display the “Rehab” crooner’s artifacts.

#BoxOfficeNews: Marvel’s The ‘Eternals’ Opens To A Strong $71 Million In North America!

When it comes to the box office, success is relative. For most Hollywood studios, a $71 million domestic opening would be cause to bust out the bubbly and do a victory dance. But when your movie carries the Marvel banner, expectations are sky high. That’s why the debut of the superhero studio’s latest tentpole, Eternals, may seem like a bit of a mixed bag. Yes, the rookie’s $161.7 million global haul over the weekend was the second-biggest worldwide bow of 2021 (behind onlyF9: The Fast Saga’s $163 million), but its less-than-Marvel-ous reception among critics and audiences raises nagging questions about whether Eternals will have the same long theatrical legs as Marvel’s other recent hits.

With early projections putting Eternals’ North American opening somewhere in the neighborhood of $75-$80 million, the star-studded epic about a race of immortal beings fell slightly short of predictions. Still, its $71 million bow ($7.6 million of which came from IMAX screens) is nothing to sneeze at, as it represents the fourth-best domestic debut of the pandemic era, edged out only by three other Marvel and Marvel-affiliated properties: Venom: Let There Be Carnage ($90 million), Black Widow ($80.4 million), and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings ($75.4 million). Directed by Chloe Zhao, whose previous film was the Oscar-winning indie Nomadland, Eternals debuted in 4,090 theaters domestically, earning a $17,359 per-screen average. The PG-13-rated film, which stars Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, Gemma Chan, and Richard Madden among others, added $90.7 million overseas (with the strongest returns coming from South Korea, the United Kingdom, and France). It has not opened in the all-important Chinese market yet. However, it’s worth nothing that several Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Qatar, halted the film’s release on religious grounds since it features the MCU’s first gay superhero. The film earned a ‘B’ CinemaScore grade (the lowest of any Marvel film to date) and currently has a 48% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, making it the only MCU film to be tagged with a green splat.

With the arrival of Eternals, the previous box-office champ, Dune, was knocked down to second place. Warner Bros.’ PG-13-rated futuristic adventure pulled in $7.6 million in its third weekend, falling off -50.6% from the previous frame. Unspooling at 3,546 locations, the adaptation of Frank Herbert’s cult sci-fi novel starring Timothee Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, and Oscar Isaac scored a $2,148 per-screen average. To date, the film which is also playing on HBO Max has racked up $83.9 million at the domestic box office and a far more robust $246.5 million overseas, bringing its combined worldwide gross to $330.4 million.

In third place was MGM’s 007 sequel, No Time to Die, which tacked on $6.2 million in its fifth weekend. The latest 007 adventure (starring Daniel Craig in his last turn in the tux), slipped -20.3% from the prior session, scoring a $2,055 per-screen average in 3,007 venues. The PG-13-rated film has now earned $143.2 million at the domestic box office and $524.3 million abroad. Its combined worldwide box office is $667.5 million. The biggest Bond news of the weekend was the announcement that No Time to Die would become available for rental on premium VOD outlets this week for $19.99.

In fourth place was Sony’s Venom: Let There Be Carnage. The PG-13-rated supervillain sequel starring Tom Hardy, dipped -22.4% from the previous weekend, pulling in $4.5 million in North America. Playing in 2,640 theaters, the movie scored a $1,691 per-screen average in its sixth session, putting its six-week domestic tally at $197 million. The film has added another $227.6 million in foreign ticket sales, bringing its global box-office total to $424.6 million.

Rounding out the top five was 20th Century Studio’s Ron’s Gone Wrong. The PG-rated animated family film about a boy and his malfunctioning mobile device earned $3.6 million in its third weekend in theaters, slipping just -3.8% from the previous weekend. The movie which features the voice of Zach Galifianakis scored a $1,358 per-screen average at 2,650 locations. Its domestic box-office tally now sits at $17.6 million and it has added $28.9 million abroad, bringing its global cume to $46.5 million.

Howard Stern would toss Aaron Rodgers out of the NFL for COVID vaccine controversy!

The fallout from Aaron Rodgers's revelation that he is unvaccinated continues.

On Monday, radio host Howard Stern lashed out at the NFL star for comments that he made during a Friday interview on SiriusXM's The Pat McAfee Show, in which Rodgers said that, while he had previously said that he was "immunized," he is, in fact, unvaccinated against COVID-19.

The Green Bay Packers quarterback, who tested positive for the virus earlier last week and was sidelined from Sunday's game, said that he's allergic to an ingredient in the vaccines from Moderna and Pfizer. That left the Johnson & Johnson vaccine as an option, but Rodgers was worried about side effects. (The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has approved all the shots for use.) Rodgers then opted to take advice from a friend, podcast host Joe Rogan, who advised him to use ivermectin — a drug the Federal Drug Administration has warned against using to treat COVID-19 — to help him recover.

"I don't even know where to begin with that story. I mean, this f***ing guy," Stern said. "I would throw this guy out of the football league so fast. What he did to his fellow teammates..."

He then praised Fox NFL analyst Terry Bradshaw, who is a retired NFL star himself, for railing against Rodgers on Sunday.

"You lied to everyone," Bradshaw said on the broadcast. "Unfortunately, we’ve got players that pretty much think only about themselves, and I'm extremely disappointed in the actions of Aaron Rodgers."

Stern repeated that "they should throw [Rodgers] out of the league so fast."

"Come on, dude. Really?" he continued. "You know, that whole bulls*** game, 'Yeah, I have the antibodies.' Now, first of all, I don't know where these guys get their information."

Stern noted that Rodgers has acknowledged taking advice from comedian and podcaster Rogan.

Stern's co-host, Robin Quivers, then cut in to ask why someone would go to Rogan with a medical problem.

"Yeah," Stern said. "You got doctors who study in medical school. I don't know what has happened to this country."

Two days before Stern's rant, retired NHL player Mike Fisher, the husband of singer Carrie Underwood, declared, "I stand with Aaron Rodgers." He accused professional sports leagues of ignoring science and using their COVID-19 guidelines to control people's lives. "It's time to fight for our medical freedom and I feel for those who have been fired for choosing medical freedom," he wrote on social media.

According to E!, Underwood's verified account was one the more than 56,000 that liked the post. A representative for the singer did not immediately respond to Yahoo Entertainment's request for comment.

Insurer State Farm, too, supported Rodgers, who has starred in their advertising campaigns for years. In a statement to the Washington Post, the company said: "We don't support some of the statements that he has made, but we respect his right to have his own personal point of view. We recognize our customers, employees, agents and brand ambassadors come from all walks of life, with differing viewpoints on many issues. Our mission at State Farm is to support safer, stronger communities. To that end, we encourage vaccinations, but respect everyone's right to make a choice based on their personal circumstances."

However, Wisconsin-based health care organization Prevea Health announced Saturday that it was ending its partnership with the quarterback. An official statement said the decision was mutual.

Wow! Stevie J Files For Divorce From Faith Evans: Report!

The pair have known each other for decades but wed back in 2018.

Some believed they would live happily ever after, but it seems that the relationship between Stevie J and Faith Evans has come to an end. The longtime friends have known each other since Faith was married to the late Christopher "The Notorious B.I.G." Wallace as Stevie J worked intimately with Bad Boy Records. He helped produce quite a few hits for the legendary label, but it was only a few years ago that the pair tied the knot.

The world first received a glimpse into a potential romance between these two when Stevie and Faith appeared on Love & Hip Hop together and he seemed to be trying to woo her. Later, Faith shared that she initially cut Stevie off because he didn't seem to have shaken his player ways.

They eventually got back together and in 2018, Stevie and Faith wed in a small ceremony in a Las Vegas hotel room. TMZ reports that they have seen records indicating that the producer filed for divorce from the singer and it is not clear if they had a prenuptial agreement set in place. There have been reported ups and downs in their relationship, especially after it was suggested that they broke up in 2019.

Then, in May 2020, Faith was reportedly arrested following a domestic violence incident. The couple stayed together and reportedly were working on their marriage when Stevie surfaced with a large tattoo of Faith's face. Tina Turner Sues Over German Impersonator for a Tribute Show Poster!

A German court has heard a case brought by American singer Tina Turner against a look-alike's tribute show. The presiding judge said he was inclined to side with a lower court's ruling upholding artistic freedom.

Tina Turner has sued a Bavarian production company for advertising a tribute show featuring a look-alike

The German Federal Court of Justice in Karlsruhe heard from lawyers representing US singer Tina Turner and a company promoting a tribute show on Thursday.

Turner, 81, is suing a Bavarian company, Cofo Entertainment, which produces a show, "Simply The Best — The Tina Turner Story," starring a look-alike, Dorothea "Coco" Fletcher, with a "lion mane" just like the American singer.

Turner wants the use of her name and likeness banned from posters advertising the show, lest people believe she is somehow involved in the production.

She won her case at the Cologne Regional Court but lost on appeal, with the Cologne Higher Regional Court rejecting her claim.

The German Federal Court of Justice must now decide whether the right to one's image trumps the freedom to create.

Tina Turner sold over 180 million albums and won many prizes including eight Grammies — not to mention the hearts of countless fans. On her sold-out farewell tour in 2009 when she was nearly 70, the Queen of Rock 'n' Roll swept the stage like a whirlwind. Many young stars could only dream of maintaining the sex appeal she still radiated at that age.

The presiding judge, Thomas Koch, said the determination of likeness depends not just on the similarities of facial features but also concerns the pose and clothing in an image.

Koch said he was inclined to agree with the Cologne Higher Regional Court ruling favoring the producers of the tribute show, but he was careful to note his preliminary opinion is not a verdict in the case.

Turner's lawyer, Kerstin Schmitt, questioned whether the reproduction of Turner's work and the image of a look-alike was in fact art, suggesting it was merely an advertising effort.

"She would like to decide when her name and image are used for commercial purposes," Schmitt said.

Brunhilde Ackermann, a lawyer for Cofo Entertainment, said fans expected that the lead singer in such a tribute show would resemble Tina Turner.

The court is expected to hand down its decision in February next year.

Kanye "Ye" West Says He Wants to End His Ongoing Feud With Drake!

Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) is extending an olive branch.

The Donda rapper announced that he'd like to make amends with Drake and officially put an end to their longtime feud in a video statement shared on Instagram.

On Monday, Nov. 8, the 44-year-old Yeezy designer appeared on music executive James Prince's Instagram, saying in a short clip, "I am making this video to address the ongoing back and forth between myself and Drake. Both me and Drake have taken shots at each other and it is time to put it to rest."

Ye asked that the 35-year-old Certified Lover Boy artist join him on stage in Los Angeles on Dec. 7 to "share the two biggest albums of the year" and to help him in his efforts to get convicted felon Larry Hoover released from federal prison.

"I believe this event will not only bring awareness to our cause," Ye added, "but prove to people everywhere how much more we can accomplish when we lay our pride to the side and come together."

James' Instagram caption read in part, "I'm looking forward to all of us working together in unison to elevate our communities around the world."

Just last week, Ye sang Drake's praises in a rare interview on Revolt TV's Drink Champs podcast on Nov. 4.

"Man, I love Drake," the Yeezus rapper said at the time. "I love all artists, period, but not even to mention, I love Drake. I love all this. Let's have Drake just have his spot of what he meant in my life, specifically, and what he's meant to rap, you know, over the past decade, specifically."

He called Drake "a very important artist that actually added something to the algorithm."

Ye continued, "As we become more civilized and more sophisticated, the style of rap that he was doing was more sophisticated than the style of rap that I grew up on...he created this thing that actually has good melodies in it, you know, good music in it that became massively accessible. So it's sort of like the iPhone."

The two famously feuded in 2018. At the time, Ye went on a Twitter rant about the "Fair Trade" rapper after fans speculated that his then-wife, Kim Kardashian, was the mysterious "Kiki" in Drake's hit song "In My Feelings." Following the chatter, however, Kim publicly denied the rumors.

The rappers' beef continued well into 2021 after Ye reportedly posted Drake's Toronto address online.

Drake appeared to have the last laugh when he released his new album, Certified Lover Boy, on Sept. 3 and seemingly addressed the incident on one of his tracks.

Despite their drama, Ye reiterated on Drinking Champs that he really has nothing but love for Drizzy.=

"I love Drake," he admitted. "I was just telling you things that he was doing in a professional game of rap that was throwing me off. And then, OK, I bit his ear, and that's what happened, that was Mike Tyson."

Drake has yet to publicly comment on Ye's call to end their feud.

Will Smith Gave His 'King Richard' Co-Stars Money To Compensate For Shift To HBO Max Release!

Will Smith gave personal cash-bonuses to his "King Richard" co-stars to compensate for the financial impact of Warner Bros.'s decision to release the film simultaneously on

HBO Max

and in theaters, according to a new report in The Hollywood Reporter.

The publication reports that Smith — who produced and starred in "King Richard" as the father of Venus and Serena Williams — earned as much as $40 million for his work on the highly-anticipated biopic.

The report cites a source saying that after WarnerMedia pivoted to a simultaneous home and theatrical release of its 2021 slate, Smith personally wrote "checks to the cast" to compensate his fellow actors for loss of earnings from the film's theatrical run.

"A source described the payments as a nice bonus, given by Smith on top of what they already received from the studio as compensation for the pivot to simultaneous HBO Max release strategy," THR reported.

The entire main cast of actors, including Saniyya Sidney and Demi Singleton, who play Venus and Serena in the film, Tony Goldwyn, Jon Bernthal, and Aunjanue Ellis, were listed as recipients of Smith's bonus in THR's report.

Both Sidney and Singleton — who are already receiving praise for their depiction of Venus and Serena — have praised Smith's presence on set.

"Being on set with him was an absolute blast," Singleton said at an Elle Women Hollywood event, according to THR. "He made sure that everyone felt comfortable and safe and had a great time — it was never a dull moment — ever."

Sidney added: "He made sure everyone felt included and felt the love. He has such a big heart."

Late last week at the premiere of Netflix's "Red Notice," Layla Crawford, who also stars alongside Smith in "King Richard," praised the actor for his kindness and generosity.

"He gave us Polaroid cameras and different treats all the time. He's just such a generous and sweet person. He also gave us iPhone 12 Pro Max gifts in boxes," Crawford said. "We ripped them open and everyone started crying. I literally cried my eyes out — it was the best gift ever. Will Smith is a blessing, I learned so much from working with him."

"King Richard" debuts in theaters and on HBO Max November 19. The film, which was directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green, has already become an awards season frontrunner. Last week, Insider's Jason Guerrasio sat down with Green who revealed that Smith was originally to have prosthetics put on his face to look like Richard Williams. However, Green put a stop to it.

"We need him to sink in and disappear, but that doesn't mean making him look like Richard," Green said.

G-Eazy Reaches Plea Deal Over NYC Bar Assault!

G-Eazy will avoid jail time after striking a plea deal in his assault case.

via: Radar Online: The rapper pled guilty to disorderly conduct, which officials reduced from its initial charge of misdemeanor assault.

The Manhattan District Attorney’s office revealed that the 32-year-old Oakland native was assigned to a diversion program as his sentence during a Monday hearing in a courtroom in New York City.

The program involves attending meetings with social workers and case managers, which is designed to help offenders move towards positive directions in life.

G-Eazy is still scheduled to be back in court following the sentence to ensure he obeys the court orders and complies with the rules.

As Radar previously reported, the rapper and his entourage participated in a physical altercation with another group of men on Sept. 10 in the Boom Boom Room at The Standard Hotel.

Police responded to the scene immediately after receiving a report regarding a fight and investigated their arrivals.

The Still Be Friends hitmaker was later taken into custody on Sept. 13 after being accused of striking his alleged victim in the face leaving the man to experience pain and redness. However, the rapper was released from the arrest without bail but had to appear in court at a later date.

Following an investigation, officials revealed the alleged victims involved in the altercation were two men aged 29 and 32, including a socialite named Daniel Chetrit, who reportedly was transported to a hospital where he was treated and received stitches.

The other victim, who was also allegedly struck by the rapper, refused medical treatment at the scene.

However, the same day he was arrested, G-Eazy was spotted looking unbothered at a New York Fashion Week event while belting out an “impromptu” performance for the crowd.

An insider shared, “It was totally impromptu. He took the mic and was singing over his own track. Girls ran over all excited.”

He later showed up at his first hearing following the alleged assault, where a judge ordered the rapper to steer clear of his alleged victims while waiting for the court to determine his sentence.

G-Eazy, who released his latest album These Things Happen Too in September, is due back in court in January

LA County is Requesting Vanessa Bryant’s Therapy Records in Lawsuit Over Leaked Helicopter Crash Site Photos!

In ongoing litigation over stolen images of the crash site where Kobe Bryant was killed, Los Angeles County attorneys have requested a federal judge to require Kobe Bryant’s widow to submit all therapy records dating back to 2010.

Vanessa Bryant’s therapy records were requested for the county’s defense against a lawsuit she filed last year alleging that county employees “showed off” photos of the deadly crash that killed her husband, 13-year-old daughter, and seven others on Jan. 26, 2020.

The county’s motion is asking for “all documents relating to or reflecting counseling, therapy, psychotherapy, psychiatry or any other mental health treatment provided to Vanessa Bryant from Jan. 1, 2010, to the present.”

“The County continues to have nothing but the deepest sympathy for the enormous grief Mrs. Bryant suffered as a result of the tragic helicopter accident,” county attorney Skip Miller said in a written statement. “Our motion for access to her medical records, however, is a standard request in lawsuits where a plaintiff demands millions of dollars for claims of emotional distress. I have an obligation to take this step to defend the County.”

According to Bryant’s lawsuit, first responders, including firefighters and sheriff’s deputies, shared photos of Kobe Bryant’s body with a bartender and distributed “gratuitous photos of the dead children, parents, and coaches.”

The lawsuit states that Vanessa Bryant allegedly suffered “severe emotional distress” as a result of the stolen images, according to the lawsuit, which exacerbated the grief of losing her husband and their daughter Gianna.

Last month she said during a recorded video conference, “Nothing compares. Nothing’s close to this. I lost my husband and child. That was the worst thing imaginable.”

Vanessa Bryant and others have been ordered to undergo mental evaluations by Los Angeles County to establish whether their emotional disturbance was caused by the images rather than the crash itself. Bryant’s lawyers claim the examinations are “cruel,” but the county claims they are “a routine part of the discovery process.”

As part of her complaint, a judge ordered earlier this month that she would not be forced to undergo a psychiatric evaluation.

The move was part of the county’s “scorched earth discovery tactics designed to bully Plaintiffs into abandoning their pursuit of accountability.”

Nicki Minaj & Kenneth Petty Accused Of Being Affiliated W/ Queens-based Gang In Ongoing Harassment Lawsuit!

Could Nicki Minaj and her husband have active ties to a New York City gang?

As you may recall, Nicki Minaj and her husband–Kenneth Petty–have been involved in a harassment lawsuit since earlier this year. The case was brought on by Jennifer Hough, who was sexually assaulted by Kenneth Petty back in 1995. Specifically, Jennifer Hough filed the lawsuit after the couple allegedly started pressuring her to recant her accusation. This allegedly began after Kenneth Petty was arrested for failing to register as a sex offender in California.

As the lawsuit continues to go strong, Nicki Minaj and Kenneth Petty have recently been accused of being part of a gang. Specifically, Attorney Tyrone Blackburn–who is representing Jennifer Hough in the case–says the pair is affiliated with the Makk Bella Brimms gang of Queens, New York.

Tyrone Blackburn made his formal accusation in court, reportedly showing the judge footage of Nicki Minaj and Kenneth Petty to support his claim. The attorney stated:

“[Kenneth] Petty and [Nicki Minaj] were both in this district, in Jamaica, Queens, New York. As seen on an Instagram Live video currently up on [Nicki Minaj]’s Instagram page, both [Nicki] and Petty were seen associating with members of the Makk Ballers set of the Bloods Gang. Petty and [Nicki Minaj] are both members of this gang. Shortly after Petty and [Nicki Minaj] are spotted with their gangster colleagues, a member of the gang posted a death threat to Ms. Hough on Twitter, stating: ‘Jennifer if you see this, the Makks are coming to get you.'”
