#HipHopNews: Cardi B Announces She is Pregnant & Expecting Baby No. 2 With Offset!
Cardi B, Offset and Kulture are about to become a family of four, because the rapper just revealed that she is pregnant with her and Offset's second child together.
During this year's BET Awards, Cardi performed 'Type S***' on stage with Migos, and wore a full-length rhinestone bodysuit with her baby bump prominently on display, surprising all who were watching. After the performance and surprise reveal, host Taraji P. Henson said, "Cardi B and Offset giving us life, literally."
And, taking to Instagram to confirm the exciting news, Cardi shared a photo from a maternity shoot in which she is nude and only wearing a pair of earrings and several bracelets, while gently cradling her growing baby bump that is covered in white paint. Tagging Offset in the photo, she wrote along with it "#2" with a heart emoji.
This is Cardi B and Offset's second child together, as the couple already shares two-year-old Kulture Kiari, who will now become a big sister to the new baby on the way.
During a 2018 interview with Jimmy Kimmel, Cardi opened up about her first pregnancy and said while carrying Kulture, "I am enjoying it. It's the best. It's like, oh my gosh. I should have had you when I was a teenager. Is this what I was missing my whole life? I love you." She added, "I do need a rest. But oh my god. Like the happiness that my baby brought me. I could do this over and over again."
Congratulations to Cardi B and Offset!

The Queen Bee Lil Kim Says She Wants a ‘Verzuz’ Battle With Nicki Minaj!
Looks like Swizz Beatz and Timbaland have some work to do. During Sunday’s red carpet at the BET Awards, Lil Kim toyed with the idea of doing a Verzuz battle, and she even confirmed who she’d want to go up against.
When asked if she’d be down to go head-to-head against another MC, Kim quickly responded “yes.” And when the question turned to who she’d want to face off in a battle of hits, she answered “Nicki.”
“Yes, me too,” Kim said when the interviewer said he’d love to see the rap royalty dish out tracks.
While Nicki Minaj and Kim haven’t always been close following artwork-related feud rumors dating back to 2007—and Kim herself had to shut down beef rumors in the past—the face-off would surely be one for the ages.
Previously, Trina said she’d be down to go head-to-head against Kim. This past weekend, Soulja Boy and Bow Wow took part in their own Verzuz, with over 500,000 people watching, including Drake, Lizzo, and Brandy among others.
It’s still unclear whether Nicki would be game to take part in a discography war, but here’s hoping.
“I’m past that I’m over it,” Kim said of their feud, back in 2018. “She did what she did, until she’s ready, hopefully, God puts it on her mind to do the right thing because she knows what she did.”
Caitlyn Jenner Vows to Fight Critical Race Theory in Schools If Elected Governor: 'We Don't Need to Teach Kids Racism'!
Caitlyn Jenner plans to fight against critical race theory being taught in schools if she becomes California’s next governor.
via Complex: During a recent appearance on Harris Faulkner’s Fox News show, Jenner maintained she would not support the critical race theory curriculum if elected.
“I will do everything to fight critical race theory being taught to our children,” she said. “This generation coming up is probably the least racist generation, the most open minded generation in the history of our country, you know? We don’t need to set them back and try to teach them racism. I am totally 100% against that.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Jenner took a strong stance on the immigration crisis facing border states like California. “I would close our California border. I would use state funds to close the border. We have to have control of our immigration system,” she told Faulkner.
Jenner did however, support amnesty for immigrants who have been “good citizens” and contribute to the community. “They are a vibrant part of our economy. They are a vibrant part of our state,” she said. “They need to get legal protection to be able to stay.”
Back in April, the 71-year-old Republican confirmed her candidacy for California governor after weeks of speculation. In a statement announcing her bid, Jenner urged Californians to jump aboard her campaign.
“I have been a compassionate disrupter throughout my life, from representing the United States and winning a gold medal at the Olympics to helping advance the movement for equality,” Jenner said. “As Californians, we face a now-or-never opportunity to fundamentally fix our state before it’s too late.”
Caitlyn Jenner’s views are just…awful.
Miami Beach Declares State of Emergency Due to Collapsed Condo!
A state of emergency has been declared for Miami Beach due to the condo collapse in the nearby Surfside neighborhood.
The city is hoping to recoup some of the related cost of the tragedy, CNN reported.
The collapsed building that occurred “steps away” from the city’s northern border has caused local sites and streets to become staging areas and command centers, which is why the city hopes to get financial reimbursement, officials stated via Twitter.
Declaring a state of emergency allows the location to receive federal funding.
“A significant portion of the staging for the emergency response efforts is taking place within Miami Beach, including use of city streets, property, and other facilities for search and rescue command centers,” city officials said in a press release Sunday.
“Due to the structure’s proximity to Miami Beach — immediately north of 87 Terrace — the city has temporarily closed North Beach Oceanside Park and canceled or moved events north of 63 Street, including at the North Beach Bandshell,” the release said.
Rescue crews continue to work around the clock to search for survivors of those inside the 12-story Chamberlain Towers South condo at the time of the collapse.
So far, nine people have been killed. 150 are still unaccounted for.
T.I. Files Motion to Dismiss Sabrina Peterson Lawsuit!
Earlier this year T.I. and Tiny's former friend Sabrina Peterson filed a defamation of character lawsuit against the couple after they attacked her in the media for spreading rumors that they were sexual predators Well T.I. wants the case tossed out...
From TMZ: The rapper's lawyer, Andrew Brettler, claims Peterson "is an adjudged liar, a convicted felon with a lengthy rap sheet for crimes involving dishonesty and violent assault, and has a reputation for being unscrupulous" ... and he says there's no way T.I. and Tiny could make her rep take a hit.
According to Peterson's suit ... Tiny referred to her on social media as "strange," and added, "everybody know you been special." Peterson claims she's since become the target of online harassment and threatening messages, but T.I. claims she can't sue over those comments because they are just opinions.
Serena Williams Has ‘Reasons’ For Not Participating In Summer Olympics!
Serena Williams announced that she will not participate in the Olympic games this summer in Tokyo on Sunday.
Williams told reporters at Wimbledon that he had her reasons for pulling out of the 2021 Summer Olympics; however, she is choosing not to make it public, according to Bleacher Report.
“There’s a lot of reasons that I made my Olympic decision,” she said. “I don’t really want to – I don’t feel like going into them today. Maybe another day. Sorry,” Williams said. “I have not thought about it. In the past, [the Olympics] has been a wonderful place for me. I really haven’t thought about it, so I’m going to keep not thinking about it.”
Williams last competed in the 2016 games in Rio De Janeiro, but she did not bring home any medals. Still, she is one of the most successful Olympic tennis players of all time. She won singles gold in 2012 and doubles gold with her sister, Venus Williams, in 2000, 2008, and 2012. Only her sister and Britain’s Kathleen McKane Godfree have taken home more Olympic tennis medals, with five each.
Williams is still the eighth-ranked women’s tennis player in the world, according to ESPN. She will be looking to add her eighth Wimbledon title and 24th Grand Slam to her list of accolades when she plays Aliaksandra Sasnovich of Belarus on Tuesday.
NYC comes out for emotional Pride march after One year of COVID!
New York City’s Pride march returned Sunday, a year after the coronavirus outbreak forced the celebration to go online-only for the first time in its history.
This year’s event was mostly virtual and so more modest than prepandemic megamarches — but still drew thousands of attendees to celebrate the LGBTQ community, including a woman who proposed to her girlfriend in the middle of the emotional festivities.
Jaimie Lord, a gay rights activist from Virginia Beach, dropped down on one knee about 12:30 p.m. along the parade route outside the historic Stonewall Inn to propose to Lindsey Randler.
Randler said yes. The crowd around them went wild.
“I’m so happy that we can be here and that I’m engaged to the love of my life,” said Randler. “We’ve both been through a lot to get to this point.”
The sense of relief was shared by Pride attendees who traveled from far and wide to let loose after a pandemic that just 15 months ago turned Greenwich Village into a ghost town.
“I’m a little anxious with so many people because I’m not used to this many people because, you know, pandemic, but it’s actually really nice,” said Cody Sexton, who works as an EMT and security guard in upstate New York. “Hopefully everyone is vaccinated.”
For Jono Mainelli, 48, this year’s event was a chance to heal after a year of trauma.
“[I did] nothing last year, because I was dealing with that health crisis and dealing with home and being responsible. It was a very confusing time,” said Mainelli, a native New Yorker who marched in the parade with a group of friends that included fashion designer Calvin Klein. “It’s very powerful to be out of doors, out in the world.”
Mainelli said he’s attended every Pride march since 1989.
Akira arrived at the Stonewall with her grandmother at 10 a.m. to secure a good spot to watch the event — and said it was eye-opening.
“It means absolutely everything, considering that in the place that I live I don’t have many friends, let alone have many connections to LGBT youth,” said Akira. “It’s really good to be a part of this community and to see all these people here and to see the parade and other people just expressing themselves.”
After the parade, several revelers clashed with members of the NYPD in Washington Square Park, leading to three arrests. An NYPD spokesman didn’t have details of the arrests Sunday night. Accounts on social media showed police showing up en masse at the park.
#BoxOfficeNews: ‘Fast and Furious 9’ Zooms to Mighty $70 Million Debut, Shattering Pandemic Records!
The only thing stronger than family? The box office debut of “F9,” the latest entry in Universal’s “Fast & Furious” saga.
After many delays over the course of a year and a half, “F9” opened to a mighty $70 million from 4,179 North American venues. That’s by far the biggest start for a movie at the U.S. box office, not just since the onset of COVID-19, but since 2019’s “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.”
The big-screen homage to hulking men, speedy cars, gravity-defying stunts and, of course, family is giving some much-needed momentum to the movie theater business, which has been struggling to rebound as audiences begin to feel comfortable returning to their local multiplex. “F9” is the latest blockbuster-hopeful to set a new box office benchmark for COVID times. Prior to this weekend, Paramount’s “A Quiet Place Part II” held the pandemic-era opening weekend record with $48.3 million in inaugural ticket sales.
“The bold decision we made to move ‘F9’ back a year was absolutely spot on,” says Jim Orr, Universal’s president of domestic distribution. “Our release has ignited the domestic box office and it’s setting the market for a great summer.”
Opening weekend crowds were 60% male, with 51% of ticket buyers under the age of 25. Broken down by demographics, 37% of moviegoers were Hispanic, 35% were Caucasian, 16% were Black and 8% were Asian. Orr adds, “the audience was very diverse, which reflects the strength of our cast and this franchise.”
Identities of Five Killed In New Mexico Hot Air Balloon Crash Revealed!
All five individuals killed in a hot-air balloon wreck in Albuquerque, New Mexico, have been identified, CNN reported.
New Mexico State Police have released the names of the hot air balloon pilot Nicholas Meleski, 62, and passengers Susan Montoya, 64, and John Montoya, 61.
The Albuquerque Police Department had previously released the identity of a retired police officer Martin Matinez, 62, and his wife, Mary Martinez. Both were killed in the crash.
All the victims were from Albuquerque, which is a popular city for ballooning. It also hosts the International Balloon festival every fall.
The tragedy took place around 7:30 am Saturday, authorities stated.
The balloon struck an overhead powerline before descending to the ground and becoming engulfed in flames.
The incident is being investigated by The National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration.
Tristan Thompson Declares Love For KhloΓ© Kardashian After Breakup!
Tristan Thompson declared his love for KhloΓ© Kardashian on her 37th birthday.
Although the NBA player and the reality star broke up recently, as Page Six revealed last week, he posted a loved-up message as she celebrated on Sunday.
“Happy birthday @khloekardashian,” Thompson wrote on Instagram. “Thank you for being not just an amazing partner, mommy and best friend but also being the kindest, caring and most loving human being I’ve ever met.
“Your love and spirit is contagious to all who’ve met you. Thank you for always being there for me and putting our family first. I love you so much. Have an amazing day.”
He also posted three photos: a couple’s shot from Thompson’s 30th birthday, a casual shot of the pair lounging while he smokes a hookah, and a picture of them with their 3-year-old daughter, True.
No matter Thompson’s intentions, many of Kardashian’s loyal fans weren’t buying his sentiments following his long history with cheating scandals.
“Noooo leave her alone,” one fan commented on the post while another wrote, “Not sure love is the word for it dawg… u walked all over her very blatantly.”
“Respect her then!!!” a third fan wrote.
It was revealed on June 21 that Kardashian and Thompson had broken up a few weeks earlier, but that they were “getting along” and there was “no drama” between them as they began co-parenting.
The split came not long after Instagram model Sydney Chase claimed in an interview that she’d hooked up with Thompson in the fall — while he and Kardashian were together.
But the cheating accusations date back much further than that.
Thompson was accused in 2018 of spending the night with an Instagram model named Lani Blair — while the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star was pregnant with True.
Then, in 2019, he allegedly snuck around behind Kardashian’s back with her sister Kylie Jenner’s then-best friend Jordyn Woods, leading to a breakup. But they decided to get back together — for a while at least — in July 2020.
Kardashian also received 37th birthday wishes from her famous family on Sunday — including sisters Kim and Kourtney Kardashian and mom Kris Jenner — as well as close pals like Malika Haqq.
