Janelle Monae In Antonio Marras – Los Angeles Confidential Celebrates Spring Oscars Issue
As the Spring Oscars issue cover star of Los Angeles Confidential Magazine, Janelle Monae was honoured with a party on Wednesday (February 22) in West Hollywood, California, which was attended by Ellie Bamber.
Janelle wore this Antonio Marras Spring 2017 dress, as it hits all her sweet spots with the colour scheme, textural intrigue and clashing patterns she continues to make her signature.
If you scan through the rest of this collection, there are many more black and white pieces for Janelle to make her own.
With so much detail for the eye to feast on, did she need the Emm Kuo clutch?
Perhaps not, but it doesn’t distract from the look.

Christian Louboutin Marchavekel heels provided the finishing touches.

RHoA: See the 'Crown Jewel' in Real Housewives of Atlanta Star Kenya Moore's Georgia Mansion
Need more of Moore Manor? Kenya’s giving an, ahem, intimate tour.
After completing the long-awaited renovations on her Georgia home, Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Kenya Moore is finally sharing inside her blinged-out bachelorette pad, showing off new spaces like her glam room and perennial favorites like the porcelain throne in her marble-clad master bath.

The first stop on her video tour is the bathroom she says she designed “from the feature wall to the freestanding tub.” The bright, white space boasts a lighted mirror that “gives you so much beauty light,” (not that she “needed that much help”) a marble shower with his-and-hers shower heads and Moore’s biggest splurge: a high-tech toilet.
“This is the crown jewel of the bathroom,” she says of the Kohler design that, among other things, remembers the user’s preferred seat temperature and music of choice. “When you’re done it actually sanitizes itself, closes itself and kisses you’re a*s.”
Once she’s taken care of business in the bathroom, Moore moves onto her glam room, which literally sparkles from top to bottom.
“These walls are actually glass,” she says of the glitzy finish. “When you walk in all you see are the walls glittering and shining. It was a special process; it took about four days to complete.”
Her makeup station is outfitted for a pro, and ensures “you look like a million bucks,” but the true star of the space is her elaborate chandelier
“It absolutely brings all the glam together, and if you stand under it you just kind of feel like an angel because you have your own halo,” she says.

Welcome to heaven, Kenya

New Hip Hop Video: Migos Feat. 2 Chainz – ‘Deadz’
Migos and 2 Chainz bring “Deadz” to life in the regal yet deadly video for their Culture collaboration.

Sinead O’Connor and Arsenio Hall make amends
Sinead O’Connor and Arsenio Hall are proof that it’s never too late to make amends.

As you may recall, the pair had quite that falling out last year, following the tragic death of music icon Prince. In a message posted to Facebook, O’Connor took aim at the comedian, claiming that after decades of supplying the “Little Red Corvette” crooner with drugs, he was ultimately responsible for his death. “Two words for the DEA investigating where prince got his drugs over the decades … Arsenio Hall. Anyone imagining Prince was not a long time hard drug user is living in cloud cuckoo land,” O’Connor wrote.
“Arsenio I’ve reported you to the Carver County Sheriff’s office. Expect their call. They are aware you spiked me years ago at Eddie Murphy’s house. You best get tidying your man cave,” she continued. But she didn’t stop there. Days later, the singer penned a more than 1,400-word rant where she criticized the Coming to America actor, noting that a truncated version of his first name “sounds like Arse Hole, in a Limerick accent.”

Meanwhile, Hall fired back in the best way possible: by filing a hefty libel lawsuit. Filed on May 5, 2016, in a Los Angeles courthouse, Hall both denied O’Connor’s “heinous accusations,” as well as claimed that the “despicable, fabricated lies,” were a cry for attention. “Desperate, attention seeker Sinead O’Connor has maliciously published outlandish defamatory lies about comedian Arsenio Hall, falsely accusing him of supplying illegal ‘hard drugs’ ‘over the decades’ to the recently deceased music artist, Prince, and of spiking her with drugs once years ago,” the lawsuit read.
Furthermore, Hall claimed that he’s had “minimal contact” with O’Connor over the years; most recently 25 years ago, and that her “malicious and reckless lies” have “spread like wildfire across the media through the United States and the world, causing substantial harm to Hall’s reputation.” By “falsely accusing” him, O’Connor has also put a target on Hall’s back, leaving him open to “hatred, contempt, ridicule and obloquy” and/or cause him to be “shunned or avoided.” Hall was reportedly seeking damages of “not less than” $5 million.

Though we haven’t heard much regarding the suit since the filing, O’Connor recently attempted to make amends, with a retraction statement. On Wednesday, Feb. 22, the 50-year-old singer issued an apology, saying, “I apologize for my Facebook posts about Arsenio Hall to the extent that anyone thought I was accusing him of acting as Prince’s drug dealer and supplying him with illegal hard drugs, or insinuating that Arsenio had something to do with Prince’s death.” She continued, “I sincerely apologize because those statements would be false, and I retract them unequivocally.”
As for what O’Connor’s confession means for the lawsuit, TMZ reports that Hall will file to dismiss the case. If you ask us, O’Connor dodged one heck of a bullet. While an apology is cool, for now, as Hall stated, what’s been said can never be unsaid — many could view the apology as an effort to save a pretty penny and still harbor ill feelings toward the comedian over Prince’s death.

Looky, Looky! Kate Winslet and Idris Elba sharing a kiss on the set of their slushy new movie
Kate Winslet and Idris Elba have been snapped having a right old snog while filming their new movie The Mountain Between Us.
Let’s face it, these two British megastars were destined to align in a big movie together at some point.
But TBH we didn’t expect an Elba-Winslet kiss to look so darned sexy. Titanic who?
The Hollywood darlings were also seen hugging on set, suggesting this scene might be a reunion or perhaps a farewell.
In the movie Kate, 41, and Idris, 44, play a writer and a surgeon who find themselves trapped in each other’s company when their plane crashes in a snowy wilderness.
And obviously, when you’re Idris Elba trapped on an island with Kate Winslet and vice versa, baby-making is inevitable.

The Mountain Between Us is the latest movie to be based on a smash-hit novel, in this case Charles Martin’s book of the same name from 2010, and we’re hoping this one will have stronger dramatic chops than Fifty Shades Darker.

We hope neither of them had spinach in their teeth before they got to Kissing.

Rihanna Named Harvard University's Humanitarian of the Year
Singer recognized for promoting health, education in home country, Barbados

Harvard University named Rihanna 2017's Humanitarian of the Year on Wednesday, recognizing the singer for working to improve cancer treatment in Barbados, where she was born, and for setting up a college scholarship to bring Caribbean students to study in the United States.

The year's most anticipated pop album is an inward-searching curveball
Harvard Foundation head Dr. S. Allen Counter commended Rihanna's efforts on both fronts. "Rihanna has charitably built a state-of-the-art center for oncology and nuclear medicine to diagnose and treat breast cancer at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Bridgetown, Barbados," Counter noted. "She has also created the Clara and Lionel Foundation Scholarship Program for students attending college in the U.S. from Caribbean countries, and supports the Global Partnership for Education and Global Citizen Project, a multiyear campaign that will provide children with access to education in over 60 developing countries, giving priority to girls and those affected by lack of access to education in the world today."
Rihanna is not the first musician to be awarded Harvard's humanitarian honor. In 2011, it went to Lionel Richie. Other winners include U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan, tennis star Arthur Ashe and the actor James Earl Jones. Last year, the award was given to Nobel Peace Prize winner Aung San Suu Kyi.
Rihanna will be on campus to accept her award on February 28th at Harvard's Sanders Theatre. Tickets to attend the ceremony are free, but a Harvard ID is required to obtain them.

Madam CJ Walker’s mansion is for sale
Nearly 100 years ago, Madam CJ Walker, America’s first female self-made millionaire, built a beautiful mansion in Irvington, New York. Villa Lewaro is a 34-room Italianate manse in a neighborhood that was also home to Rockefellers and Astors and it cost her $250K. Walker was 49-years-old at the time and no one could believe a Black woman could afford such a home.

“It was symbolic for her,” A’Lelia Bundles, Walker’s great-great-granddaughter, tells The Post. “For her to buy property in one of the wealthiest communities in America and then build this home, one generation out of slavery, it was her American dream.”

Walker’s story isn’t news. She made her fortune launching a line of hair-care products. Sundial Brands has recently launched a new line of Madam C.J. Walker de-frizzing products. Oscar-winning actress Octavia Spencer has signed on to produce and star in a TV series based on Bundles’ biography on her great-great grandmother titled On Her Own Ground: The Life and Times of Madam C. J. Walker.

An active member of the NAACP and a face of the Harlem Renaissance, she passed away at age 51 of kidney failure. She willed the home to her daughter Lelia, and following her death the NAACP would own it. They sold it in 1932, and it became a retirement home for 40 years.
The current owner Helena Doley has lived in the home for 25 years.
Brent Leggs, a senior field officer at the National Trust for Historic Preservation, says this about the home: “It’s one of the most important women’s history sites — and African-American history sites — in the country. It’s absolutely crucial to find the next steward who can carry on its legacy.

Caitlyn Jenner Sends Trump a Message About Transgender Bathroom Decision: 'This Is a Disaster'
Caitlyn Jenner is speaking out to send a message to President Donald Trump after he made the decision to lift federal protections for transgender students, which were put in place by the Obama administration.
The protections allowed transgendered students to use public school bathrooms that matched their chosen gender identity. Trump‘s move will send the decision to the states.

“I have a message for the trans kids of America: You’re winning. I know it doesn’t fee like it today or every day, but you’re winning,” Caitlyn said in a video message she shared on Twitter. “Very soon we will win full freedom nation-wide and it’s going to be with bipartisan support. You can help by checking out the National Center for Transgender Equality and letting Washington hear you loud and clear.”\
Caitlyn also sent a message to bullies and then one directly to Trump.

“I have a message for President Trump from one Republican to another. This is a disaster. And you can still fix it. You made a promise to protect the LGBTQ community. Call me,” she said.
Like seriously Caitlyn YOU VOTED FOR HIM!
