#FASHIONFILES: Sabato De Sarno’s Gucci Ancora Campaign Lensed by David Sims
Gucci Ancora is creative director Sabato De Sarno’s ad campaign for his debut Gucci collection. The director’s choice of the word Ancora is an Italian terms that translates “again” in English.
"Ancora is a word that you use when your desire is not over yet, whether it's a kiss or an embrace, or making love; it's as if you own something and you want more of it," De Sarno told WWD at his debut runway show. Sabato De Sarno wants to "fall in love with fashion all over again."

Ana Rossolovich, who opened De Sarno's first show; Arthur Hargous; Fadia Ghaab; Jiahui Zhang; Nyajuok Gatdet, Prince Diamond and Violet Hume posed for photographer David Sims [IG], the first fashion photographer a younger Sabato De Sarno worked with in his fashion career. To that end, the Gucci Signoria pumps envisioned by De Sarno for the Spring Summer 2024 collection are named after Florence’s central piazza.

#RHOA: HOT or NOT? Kandi Burruss Stuns in a Plunging, Cherry-Red Jumpsuit
Kandi Burruss is bringing the heat to Hotlanta, even in the midst of winter. For a recent night out, The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member donned a plunging, cherry-red jumpsuit that must be seen to be believed.
In her Instagram Stories from January 23, Kandi shared snaps from the premiere of The Underdoggs. In the flick, which stars Snoop Dogg, Kandi plays a judge. While her onscreen character may don black robes, the RHOA mama went bright red for the premiere. The verdict is in, and Kandi looked incredible.

For the event, the multihyphenate talent had her hair styled by Alexander Armand, while her makeup was from Beauty by Beyina. The beauty pros gave her a low ponytail and smoky, long-lashed eyes. As for her fashion choice, Kandi settled on the aforementioned jumpsuit, which had glittering pinstripes and sparkling lapels.

One of Kandi's pals shared a photo of the evening on her Instagram Stories, noting that Kandi "freaking did her THANG" in the movie. And clearly, she did her thing with her premiere style, too.
While the jumpsuit above may be the first one she's worn to a party with Snoop Sogg, it's hardly the first jumpsuit Kandi has pulled off with aplomb.

In fact, as far back as 2019, the trendsetter was wearing one-piece looks that stunned. For a festive event, the Atlanta entrepreneur wore a waist-cinching one-piece jumpsuit with a plunging, criss-cross neckline and boot-cut flares by designer Sherri Hill.

“I walked in to see Kandi in her [WWHL] dressing room, and I was like, ‘Uh, I’ve seen this jumpsuit before,’” the titular host said about the sparkly gold jumpsuit Kandi wore for her Clubhouse appearance. “This was a reunion look.”
Also in 2022, Kandi took to Instagram to show off another remarkable jumpsuit. The mom of three dazzled in a curve-hugging look from Zhivago during a night out with her husband, Todd Tucker. As showcased in the snapshots, the jumpsuit featured a low-cut top with structured shoulders, stitched satin accents, and slightly flared pants with striped detailing down the side.

#MusicNews: Sy Smith to Release 6th Studio Album “Until We Meet Again” on January 26th, 2024
Coming to the airwaves in January 2024 comes the return of soul music siren Sy Smith and her well anticipated new feature “Until We Meet Again.” One of the singles from the new album, lead track “Slide” is already generating major traction as we head into the new year.

“Slide” doesn’t sound like anything she’s ever released. This steamy uptempo begins with flamenco-like handclaps, then proceeds to glide elegantly like a Rolls Royce, with Sy’s voice riding the chordal curves like Diana Ross meeting Marvin Gaye at some afterparty in heaven. Then the percussive pre-chorus instantly changes lanes as Sy sings “start the clock, I can’t wait anymore…it’s unlocked, I’m standing by the door. You can watch me work, head to the floor…”. This is not a “who all gon’ be there” affair. It’s just you and Sy. (Bandcamp)

“Until We Meet Again” is produced by Zo! & Tall Black Guy, & exec produced by Phonte Coleman on FE Music.
View Until We Meet Again’s complete tracklist below, and pre-save the album on your choice of digital music services.

#HipHopNews: Nicki Minaj Pushes Her Anticipated Track "Bigfoot" Back Six Hours
Nicki Minaj has announced that her new surprise track “Bigfoot” will drop six hours later than initially reported. While the song was first set to be released at 3 PM PST, the Pink Friday 2 rapper took to Twitter to provide an update on the status of the drop.

Early Sunday (Jan. 28) afternoon, Minaj tweeted, “Hey guys. The song will actually be out at 9 PM PST // MIDNIGHT EST. It COULD possibly come a TAD bit sooner, but there are no guarantees. Nothing can/will EVER stop [Gag City] — no matter how many phone calls people make. [Pink Friday 2] (the album) is out now. I LOVE you.”

One fan commented under the post, saying, “You worried about the wrong foot, sis, because doesn’t your man wear an ankle monitor?” While another social media user exclaimed, “Psychology says: When you are ignored by a person whose attention means the most to you, the reaction in your brain will be similar to physical pain. Blessed Night.”
Many social media users have mixed feelings about Minaj’s actions following the release of Megan Thee Stallion’s new track, “HISS.” While the stance of many Barbz is to ride no matter what, some everyday fans believe that the “FTCU” rapper is going too far.

Earlier Sunday (Jan. 28) afternoon, Minaj seemingly co-signed a tweet alluding to her views on the situation. Someone shared, “Nicki Minaj is too petty. She’s never letting any disrespect slide,” before being quote-retweeted by a user stating, “And that on Jesus, don’t come for my family and expect me to be quiet.”
This highly anticipated track will also be released in acapella so that producers worldwide can make their versions of the new song. The Queens bar spitter first teased the track on her Instagram Live just hours after the release of “HISS.”

Fans can join in on a premiere party for the forthcoming single on Station Head.

#SUPERBOWLLVIII: The Super Bowl Is Set! Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers Will Play in 2024 Game

The Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers are going to Super Bowl LVIII! After Sunday's highly-anticipated matchups in Baltimore and San Francisco, the Chiefs beat the Ravens in Baltimore before the 49ers defeated the Detroit Lions in San Francisco.
The Chiefs never lost their lead the entire game against the Ravens, but the score stayed tight with nearly all of the offense coming in the first half. A huge turnover by the Ravens late in the fourth quarter virtually sealed the win for the Chiefs and they held the score to 17-10 to clinch their spot in the Super Bowl.

The Lions and 49ers game was a much closer affair. Initially, it looked as though the Lions had the win, but the 49ers came roaring back in the second half with 27 unanswered points, bringing the score to 34-24 with just over 2 minutes remaining. The Lions got in another touchdown, but it wasn't enough, and the 49ers pulled off the comeback win 34-31.
The 2024 Super Bowl takes place on Feb. 11 in Las Vegas. This year, Usher will take the stage to headline the halftime show at Allegiant Stadium.

Last year, the Kansas City Chiefs won their second Super Bowl in the Patrick Mahomes era. Still, the story of the 2023 NFL Championship quickly became about Jason and Travis Kelce, who became the first brothers in NFL history to meet in the Super Bowl.
Earlier this week, social media was set ablaze by a conspiracy theory around the NFL's promotional ads as they waited for the results of Sunday's determining games.

For the past few NFL seasons, football fanatics have dialed in on a theory that says the logo for the Super Bowl predicts which teams will go head-to-head in the Big Game, based on what colors make up the image.
The Super Bowl color scheme theory picked up steam in November 2023, when the Super Bowl 2024 logo was revealed. Eagle-eyed football fans noticed that the previous two logos had colors that were representative of the eventual main matchup, and thought this one might hold predictive powers as well. (The color scheme phenomena doesn't go further back, however, because logos in the immediately preceding years had been identical, with just the numbers changed.)

This year, the 2024 Super Bowl logo mixes purple and red — and both of those colors correspond with the teams still vying for a spot in the NFL Championship game.
Now that the teams have been determined, the theory has soundly been debunked, as two red teams head to Vegas.

Known as the "Entertainment Capital of the World," Las Vegas will surely live up to its nickname when Super Bowl Week kicks off in February. The hottest celebrity parties and events will take place, bringing even more heat to the desert in the days leading up to the NFL championship game.
Many of the events are hosted by the biggest names in sports and entertainment, who will return to the party scene to throw the ultimate experiences.

Among those who are back for another round of football fun include all-star hosts Shaquille O'Neal and Rob Gronkowski.
David Guetta and Future are slated to takeover the famed Las Vegas Strip for a transformative, immersive experience at the annual 2024 h.wood Homecoming party — which featured memorable performances by Justin Bieber and Drake in previous years.

Colman Domingo to direct, star in movie musical about Nat King Cole
Colman Domingo will make his feature directorial debut in a biopic about singer Nat King Cole. Domingo also co-wrote the script for the movie musical and will star as Cole.
Colman Domingo is set to make his feature directorial debut in a movie musical about legendary singer Nat King Cole.
The West Philly-native actor and Temple University alum, who co-wrote the script for the biopic, will also star as Cole, Variety reported.

Cole, who began his career in the late '30s, is one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century, selling over 50 million records. He's known for chart-topping hits like "Unforgettable, "Smile," "Let There Be Love" and "The Christmas Song." Cole earned a posthumous Lifetime Achievement Award from the Grammys in 1990, and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2000.

One of the most notable moments of Cole's life occurred on April 10, 1956. As Cole was performing before an all-white audience in Birmingham, Alabama, a group of white men attacked him. Authorities apprehended the men, and the singer returned to the stage. The remaining audience members gave him a 10-minute standing ovation, according to Variety.

Domingo previously co-wrote the play "Lights Out: Nat 'King' Cole," which imagines what may have been going through Cole's mind during his "The Nat King Cole Show" Christmas special in 1957. It has not yet been revealed when the upcoming film will premiere or which period of Cole's life that Domingo's movie will focus on.
“I’ve been working on it quietly for a few years,” Domingo told Variety, of the movie musical. “It’s something I’m looking forward to putting together with some great partners.”

The news of Domingo's latest project comes during his successful awards season. Last week, he received an Oscar nomination for his portrayal of Bayard Rustin — a civil rights leader born in West Chester — in the Netflix film "Rustin." This is the first Oscar nomination for Domingo, who previously won an Emmy for his role in "Euphoria." Domingo also has been nominated for Golden Globe, BAFTA, Critics Choice and SAG awards for his work on "Rustin."

Domingo also made headlines last week for his being cast as another famous pop culture figure. The actor will play the role of Michael Jackson's father, Joe Jackson, in an upcoming biopic about the King of Pop.

First 'Despicable Me 4' Trailer Introduces New Characters Voiced By Will Ferrell And Sofia Vergara
Gru and the Minions are back in the first trailer for "Despicable Me 4". Featuring the fan-favorite villain and his mischievous yellow henchmen, the trailer also introduces new characters, including the ones voiced by Will Ferrell and Sofia Vergara.
The trailer opens with a look at Gru's seemingly idyllic domesticated life. It reveals that Gru and Lucy have welcomed a new addition to their family, a son named Gru Jr., who is clearly not a fan of his father.

But Gru's family is about to be put in danger with the arrival of a new supervillain, Maxime Le Mal (Ferrell), who seeks revenge on Gru and his family, and his girlfriend Valentina (Vergara). Breaking the bad news to Gru and his family is Silas Ramsbottom (Steve Coogan), the former director of the Anti-Villain League.
"Your family's lives are at stake," Silas informs Gru. "Maxime Le Mal has escaped from prison." The scene then cuts to show Maxime and Valentina operating a destructive robot. "I'm coming for my revenge, Gru!" he shouts.

"We have to get to the safe house," Silas tells Gru, before taking Gru and his family to another place, which looks like a playground, at least to Gru's youngest daughter Agnes and the Minions. The trailer also sees Gru on a heist, which takes an unexpected turn with Gru Jr. taming a scary dog.

According to Illumination, "in the first 'Despicable Me' movie in seven years, Gru, the world's favorite supervillain-turned-Anti-Villain League-agent, returns for an exciting, bold new era of Minions mayhem in Illumination's 'Despicable Me 4'."
The franchise begins a new chapter as Gru (Steve Carell) and Lucy (Kristen Wiig) and their girls, Margo (Miranda Cosgrove), Edith (Dana Gaier) and Agnes (Madison Polan), welcome a new member to the Gru family, Gru Jr., who is intent on tormenting his dad.

Gru faces a new nemesis in Maxime Le Mal and his femme fatale girlfriend Valentina, and the family is forced to go on the run. The studio promises that the film is "packed with non-stop action and filled with Illumination's signature subversive humor."
To be distributed by Universal Pictures, "Despicable Me 4" is directed by Chris Renaud, who directed the first film and created the Minions. It also features new characters voiced by Joey King, Stephen Colbert and Chloe Fineman, with Pierre Coffin returning as the voice of the Minions. The movie is set to open in U.S. theaters on July 3.

Is John David Washington Eyed for MCU's Kang After Jonathan Majors Firing

Tenet star John David Washington is rumored to be up for the role of Kang in the MCU after Jonathan Majors' exit.
Golden Globe nominee John David Washington could end up becoming the next Kang the Conqueror, according to new rumors.

Movie scooper Daniel Richtman has shared the latest update on Marvel Studios' plans for Kang in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. After Jonathan Majors was fired from the role, rumors emerged that Fear the Walking Dead star Colman Domingo had become a frontrunner for the part. While it's unclear if Domingo was ever formally given an offer, Richtman has now reported that John David Washington is also in consideration to potentially play the new Kang.

Christopher Nolan announces that he is re-teaming with Warner Bros. to re-release Tenet in theaters, accompanied by exclusive Dune: Part Two footage.
David was nominated for a Golden Globe for his role in Spike Lee's 2018 film BlacKkKlansman. He'd later lead the cast of Christopher Nolan's Tenet, released in 2020, which earned him a Saturn Award for Best Actor. Washington also starred in the HBO series Ballers and had roles in other films like Monsters and Men, Malcolm & Marie, and Amsterdam. More recently, he starred in 2023's The Creator from director Gareth Edwards.

John David Washington also happens to be the son of acclaimed Oscar-winning actor Denzel Washington. While some fans have already been advocating for the younger Washington to get the part, others have called for his father to get the role. At one point, fan artwork depicting Denzel Washington as Kang had gone viral on social media. There has also been fan art made of Star Wars star John Boyega as Kang, but that actor seems to have already cast doubt on his interest in taking on that role.

Would John David Washington Be Interested in Kang? As for whether John David Washington would be interested in the role, he hasn't commented on playing Kang in particular, but the acclaimed actor previously teased that he'd be open to joining a superhero tentpole. In 2020, he said in an interview with Nerd Reactor that it depended upon "who's asking," and it would seem like there's a good chance starring in a big-budget MCU film would be enticing enough for Washington to consider.

"I think it depends on who's asking, what director wants to do it with me," as Washington said. "We'll see, I want to stay open. I don't want to box myself in. Maybe there's characters that haven't been mentioned yet, or maybe even developed, that haven't been introduced in any of the films yet. I'd like to see what they come up with, if I ever get asked."
Avengers 5 is currently scheduled to be released in movie theaters on May 1, 2026.

Activists splatter 'Mona Lisa' with soup in Louvre Museum in Paris
Activists splattered the glass-covered "Mona Lisa" painting with soup at the Louvre Museum in Paris on Sunday, according to the food-security group behind the protest.
Two women opened thermoses and splashed the famous Leonardo da Vinci painting at about 10 a.m., said the group, Riposte Alimentaire, or "Food Response." A video posted online by the group showed streaks and splashes of orange on the bullet-proof glass and the blue wall behind the painting.

The women -- who the group identified as Sasha, 24, and Marie-Juliette, 63 -- then crossed behind the protective wooden railing, stood on either side of the painting and called for "the integration of food into the general social security system."
"In France, one in three people skip meals due to lack of means," Riposte Alimentaire said in a statement posted in French. "At the same time, 20% of the food produced is thrown away. Our model stigmatizes the most precarious and does not respect our fundamental right to food."

Members of the museum's staff could be seen in the video rushing to hide the painting behind protective panels.
The French agriculture and food industry has become more profitable and those "excessive profits are estimated to be responsible for two thirds of inflation," Riposte Alimentaire said in a statement to ABC News. The statement also said European free-trade treaties created unfair conditions for French growers versus "foreign products that do not meet minimum ecological and social standards."

"Agriculture is responsible for 21% of national greenhouse gas emissions and contributes greatly to the deterioration of our biodiversity and the impoverishment of soils, due to the massive use of inputs," the group said.

Halle Bailey defends protecting her peace throughout months of pregnancy rumors

After months of dodging pregnancy speculation, Halle Bailey and boyfriend DDG confirmed the birth of their first child, a son named Halo, at the top of the year. The shock of a photo showing the new parents’ hands embracing that of their newborn came with a tongue-and-cheek remark from the singer, who acknowledged that hawk-eyed people were relentless with their pursuit of definitive proof she had become a mother.

“Even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me was bring me my son… Welcome to the world, my Halo. The world is desperate to know you,” she captioned the Jan. 6 post.
Since then, she has shared snippets from her underwater Mermaid-themed maternity shoot, footage of her dancing with her sister Chloe and a behind-the-scenes look at how an image was photoshopped to remove her pregnant belly. Halle has been the subject of critical comments from people claiming she lied about her pregnancy and gaslit fans for months, only to now welcome them into her motherhood experience.

The songstress clapped back at one of the remarks on Sunday (Jan. 28). Halle tweeted, “I never lied or even said anything about it, honey; making a joke about my nose was the farthest I went. I’ll never understand why you are mad [that] I protected my own peace. Wouldn’t you do the same? And I’m gonna share my pics now if I want to because my son is here safely. If you don’t wanna see it, just keep scrolling, baby. [Laugh out loud], God bless you!”

Soon after, she wrote, “[Laugh out loud], my hormones have been on 10 recently, so I’m gonna go back to staying off Twitter. Love you all.” But before leaving, she confirmed plans to release new music following the Grammys. Her first single as a solo act, “Angel,” came out in August 2023. The record scored a nomination in the tight race for Best R&B Song alongside Coco Jones’ “ICU,” Victoria Monét’s “On My Mama,” SZA’s “Snooze” and Robert Glasper’s “Back To Love” featuring Sir.

The awards ceremony, whose list of nominees is dominated by female artists this year, airs on Feb. 4 from Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena.

JoJo Siwa Returns to Judge 'So You Think You Can Dance' for Another Season
JoJo Siwa is headed back to So You Think You Can Dance! The 20-year-old professional dancer served as a judge on the show for its 17th season in 2022. On Friday (January 26), it was announced that she was set to return for its 18th season in a last-minute casting switch-up.

JoJo will replace Nigel Lythgoe on the panel of judges. Nigel, a longtime judge and producer on the show, stepped down earlier this month after he was accused of sexual assault in two lawsuits, including one filed by Paula Abdul. He has denied all charges.
So You Think You Can Dance shared the news about JoJo‘s return on Instagram. We’ll get to see her in action as of March 4, and she joins Allison Holker and Maksim Chmerkovskiy on the judging panel.

We’re excited to see JoJo on the show again.

Disturbing! Chrisean Rock Tattoos Blueface’s Face On Her Face
Over the past few years, it is almost impossible to keep up with the relationship status of Blueface and his baby mama Chrisean Rock. While it had appeared that the two were finally over for good, Rock surprised her social media followers as she shared what appears to be a very permanent tribute to her love in the form of a face tattoo of the currently incarcerated rapper.

In a post shared on early Sunday morning, Rock (whose profile picture is currently a photo of Blueface) shared a video montage on her Instagram of the tattoo process from the initial stencil to the finished product with the caption “#freeblueface free my Daddy I love you papa @bluefasebabyy” all while playing Blueface’s hit song “Pop It.”

The on-again, off-again couple had appeared to finally be over back in December when Rock claimed that Blue had punched her in his driveway. However, just last week, she posted that she had moved back into the “Thotiana” artist’s home.
As for Blueface, while it seemed unlikely that he would have a public comment any time soon as he is currently incarcerated until July for a probation violation, a post from his account also shared Rock’s tattoo process video.

His current relationship with his other baby mama, Jaidyn Alexis, remains unclear.

#MAGFAB: NeNe Leakes Graces The Cover Of 'Hello Beautiful'
NeNe Leakes is the latest celeb to grace the cover of Hello Beautiful — and the former Real Housewives of Atlanta star had a lot to say about her time on the series and her reality TV titan status.

Leakes, 56, became an integral member of the #RHOA franchise when she starred on the hit show from Season 1 to 7 and Seasons 10 to 12 following a brief hiatus. Known for her witty clapbacks, sassy demeanor and unwavering confidence, the Athens, Georgia, bred celeb quickly became a hit among viewers for her ability to stir up entertaining drama on the popular Bravo series.

During an interview with Danielle Young for Hello Beautiful, Leakes called herself “the OG” of RHOA but said she doesn’t think she should be called the “queen” of reality TV.
“I know all the things that I did [on Housewives]. And I know all of the memes that are out there,” the Bravo alum said
“I know when Real Housewives started, I was the OG. I was the one that was there pushing and making every scene, as much as I could, a great scene. I know the work that was put in behind the scenes that the people who are viewing the show, just don’t know. I can’t call myself a queen [of the housewives and reality tv] but I see why people call me that and I received it.”

Elsewhere in the cover story, NeNe opened up about advocating for Black women, much like she did on Bravo.
“I definitely have spoken up for Black women,” said NeNe who fought alongside Kandi Burrus for Porsha Williams to stay on #RHOA when producers wanted to cut her in season six.

Young writes, “At the beginning of RHOA, cast salaries were much lower than one might expect, with reports claiming they took home just $10,000. But NeNe personally advocated for better compensation, eventually leading the stars to get six figures. Now, the salaries can range anywhere from $100,000 to $1 million, with Black women reportedly often getting the short end of the stick.”

She also said she agrees with Taraji P. Henson’s recent comments calling out the pay disparity she experienced on the set of the film The Color Purple.
“I agree with Taraji P. Henson. I agree,” NeNe said.
“People are out here cheering for those they actually should not be cheering for, but you don’t know that because you’re watching people. You become a fan of theirs, but there are a lot of people that we cheer for that we shouldn’t be cheering for. They’re out here doing a lot of bad things behind the scenes that people just don’t get to see. So, unfortunately, I think there’s always been a difference in pay with Hollywood. And it’s always been the Black woman [who] has always been the lowest paid.” But not on NeNe’s watch!”

NeNe Spoke On The Pressure Of Keeping Up With Reality TV’s Demanding Beauty Standards
During her candid sit-down with Young, Leakes revealed that she sometimes felt “pressure” to “look beautiful” at the height of her career in reality TV.

The mother and entrepreneur underwent a “professional mini BBL” to help her maintain her sexy and fine figure. She also uses Mounjaro, a popular weight loss drug, to keep her waist snatched.
“Being in the industry and being a public figure, it’s definitely pressure there to look beautiful, look your best, stay small, look healthy, all of those things and keep up with the latest trends. I felt that pressure myself,” she admitted. “You do have to keep up. You do have to keep yourself looking great. Now, I don’t have a problem doing that because I’m one of those girls who I will be fighting to the end, honey!”

On Plastic Surgery Being A “Form Of Self-Love”
Plastic surgery isn’t a bad thing, according to the Queens, New York, native. In fact, Leakes believes going under the knife can be a form of self-love for some.

#HipHopNews: Nicki Minaj Mentions Megan Thee Stallion's Deceased Mother In Instagram Rant
Nicki Minaj has taken the gloves off after speaking on Megan Thee Stallion multiple times following the release of her new track, “HISS.” The tension reached its boiling point during an Instagram Live where Minaj said, “Bullet fragment foot b**ch,” several times. “You bringing up 30-year-old tea from when this man was a 15-year-old child. You bringing up 30-year-old tea cause no man will ever f**king love you and lying on your dead mother.”

On Friday (Jan. 26), the Pink Friday 2 emcee reshared an old clip from the video shoot of their sole collaboration, “Hot Girl Summer.” She mentioned, “What a disgusting serpent!!!!! You all post Pardi songs under this. They paid to make it disappear. LET’S GOOOOOO! Lying on your dead mother is insane, too. But PARDI said it. #ItWasntMe.”

Fans speculated that “HISS” addressed Minaj when the Grammy Award-winning recording artist rapped, “These h**s don’t be mad at Megan/ these h**s mad at Megan’s Law/ I don’t really know what the problem is, but I guarantee y’all don’t want me to start.”
The law, as mentioned above, requires authorities to make information available to the public regarding registered sex offenders. Notably, the Trinidadian star’s husband, Kenneth Petty, was convicted for attempted rape of a 16-year-old girl in 1995 and pleaded guilty for failing to register as a sex offender.

Minaj did not hold back any punches during the late-night Instagram Live session. Later in the video, she passionately expressed, “You will not disrespect Papa Bear, you dirty f**king, ran through, bird a**, bum a** b**ch. You broke b**ch; tell them the truth, b**ch.”
The “Anaconda” rapper blamed her popular alter ego, “Roman,” for her violent outburst. She mentioned that “Nicki may have morals and respect, but Roman does not.” Shortly after the track was released, Minaj teased a response to “HISS” on her Instagram Live with a snippet of a new song.

She appeared to reference the 2020 incident where Megan was shot in the foot by Lanez. The “Everybody” hitmaker rapped, “Bad b**ch, she like six foot, I call her Big Foot/ The b**ch fell off, I said get up on your good foot.”
Megan Thee Stallion has yet to respond to the harsh disses from her former collaborator.

Jay Leno Files For Wife's Conservatorship As She Suffers From Alzheimer's

Jay Leno has taken a legal step to take care of his wife Mavis amid her battle with Alzheimer's. The former "Jay Leno's Garage" host reportedly filed for a conservatorship over his spouse following her diagnosis.
The 73-year-old submitted the legal docs on Friday, January 26. In the filing, obtained by TMZ, the comedian said that Mavis does not contest the establishment of a conservatorship and does not prefer another person to act as a conservator.

Jay also asked the judge that Mavis not attend the court hearing on the conservatorship as it would be "detrimental to her mental and physical health." The couple themselves were last spotted in public back in November 2023 at a comedy event in Los Angeles.

Jay and Mavis have been together for decades. They got married in 1980 after meeting in the 1970s at the famous Comedy Store in West Hollywood. The pair don't have any children.
The news arrived more than a year after Jay got into the motorbike accident. Of the bike crash, he detailed in an interview with the Las Vegas Review Journal, "That [the garage fire] was the first accident. OK? Then just last week, I got knocked off my motorcycle. So I've got a broken collarbone. I've got two broken ribs. I've got two cracked kneecaps ... But I'm OK. I'm OK, I'm working. I'm working this weekend."

"I turned down a side street and cut through a parking lot, and unbeknownst to me, some guy had a wire strung across the parking lot but with no flag hanging from it," he added. "So, you know, I didn't see it until it was too late. It just clothesline me and, boom, knocked me off the bike."
"The bike kept going, and you know how that works out," the funnyman joked. "You know, after getting burned up, you get that one for free. After that, you're Harrison Ford, crashing airplanes. You just want to keep your head down."

Trey Songz's Sexual Assault Lawsuit Over 2013 Incident Dismissed After Third Complaint
Trey Songz has scored a victory yet again in a sexual assault lawsuit over a 2013 incident. A judge reportedly dismissed the case after the plaintiff, who used the Jane Doe pseudonym to protect her privacy, filed the complaint three times.
The woman first brought the allegation in 2022 through a demand letter, but it was not until the summer of 2023 that she officially sued the musician. She claimed that the singer grabbed and exposed her breast at a 2013 pool party after she merely tried to get a picture with him.

Jane Doe said the alleged assault happened in August at the Foxwoods Resort in Connecticut. In a video of the incident, the woman was excitedly filming herself and the 39-year-old crooner, who was standing next to her.
Trey was then seen grabbing the woman's bathing suit top, pulling it and exposing her breast. "In what appeared to be an attempt to further terrify and humiliate [the woman], [Trey Songz] followed the assault with a degrading chant, 'Titty in The Open … Titty in The Open,' " the lawsuit stated.

Aside from Trey, the woman listed his production company, record exec Kevin Liles and Atlantic Records as defendants because they were "negligent in their supervision of their client". She was demanding $10 million for sexual battery and assault.
Jane Doe amended her original complaint in July and again in September. Trey responded by filing a motion to dismiss the lawsuit, stating that the statute of limitations had expired.

The judge granted the motion but allowed the woman to amend her complaint. However, her renewed claims closely resembled the earlier ones, prompting Trey to file another motion to dismiss on December 29. The plaintiff, however, failed to respond to this motion, so the lawsuit got thrown out once again.

Taylor Swift’s name not searchable on X days after sexually explicit deepfakes go viral

Social media users may have noticed Saturday that they cannot search Taylor Swift’s name on X, days after nonconsensual sexually explicit deepfakes of the pop star went viral.
Whenever Swift’s name was typed into the search box on X, the message “Something went wrong. Try reloading” would appear.

we have reached out to X for comment.
This comes after deepfakes portraying Swift nude and in sexual scenarios were circulated on X Wednesday. The images can be created using artificial intelligence tools that develop new, fake images, or by taking a real photo and “undressing” it.

It’s not clear where the images originated, but they included a watermark that suggests they came from a website that is known for publishing fake nude images of celebrities. The website has a section dedicated to “AI deepfake.”
The photos were viewed more than 27 million times and had more than 260,000 likes in 19 hours before the account that posted them was suspended.

Many of Swift’s fans said the deepfakes were removed because of a mass-reporting campaign. X has been called out in the past for its failure to quickly address sexually explicit deepfakes that pop up on the site.
The singer’s fans flooded the hashtag “Taylor Swift AI” with positive messages about her, according to an analysis performed by Blackbird.AI, a firm that works to protect organizations from narrative-driven online attacks using AI technology. The hashtag “Protect Taylor Swift” also began to trend on X.

Some users celebrated Swift’s name being removed from X’s search function. One user wrote that it was the “first step done to safeguard her.”
“Now stop searching taylor swift ai photos. That AI creator will go to hell. We have got ur back Tay,” the user posted Saturday.
“You can’t search Taylor swift on Twitter anymore kinda happy and sad at the same time,” another posted

Vince McMahon resigns from WWE after allegations of sexual assault
Embattled wrestling mogul Vince McMahon resigned Friday from the WWE, the company he founded six decades ago, following allegations of sexual assault made public in a lawsuit a day earlier.

The announcement was made Friday evening in a message to staff by Nick Khan, president of the WWE and a member of the board of directors for TKO, the global conglomerate that owns the wrestling giant.
"Vince McMahon has tendered his resignation from his positions as TKO Executive Chairman and on the TKO Board of Directors," Kahn wrote in the message provided to CBS News. "He will no longer have a role with TKO Group Holdings or WWE."

In a federal lawsuit filed Thursday in Connecticut, a former employee, Janel Grant, accused the 78-year-old McMahon and another WWE employee of sexually assaulting her in the workplace.
The lawsuit also accused McMahon of sexual trafficking, alleging that he pressured Grant into having sex with him and another WWE employee in exchange for her job. In 2020, according to the lawsuit, McMahon allegedly pressured Grant into threesomes with other men, including McMahon's physical therapist and another WWE executive, John Laurinaitis, who is also named as a defendant in the lawsuit.

In a statement provided to CBS News on Friday following his resignation, McMahon said that "Grant's lawsuit is replete with lies, obscene made-up instances that never occurred, and is a vindictive distortion of the truth. I intend to vigorously defend myself against these baseless accusations, and look forward to clearing my name.
"However, out of respect for the WWE Universe, the extraordinary TKO business and its board members and shareholders, partners and constituents, and all of the employees and Superstars who helped make WWE into the global leader it is today, I have decided to resign from my executive chairmanship and the TKO board of directors, effective immediately."

Thursday's lawsuit was the latest in a series of misconduct allegations against McMahon.
In 2022, McMahon stepped back as CEO of WWE while the company investigated him for alleged misconduct, with the probe centered on claims that he paid hush money to a worker with whom he allegedly had an affair. A 2022 report in the Wall Street Journal said that McMahon had agreed to pay more than $12 million to four women.

Comedian Earthquake Denies Katt Williams’ Claim That He’s Illiterate

Stand-up comic Nathaniel “Earthquake” Stroman has responded to claims made by Katt Williams during his viral Club Shay Shay interview that he is illiterate.
During a sit-down with The Breakfast Club, Stroman revealed that, to his knowledge, he and Williams were on good terms at the time of the interview, leaving him confused by the comic’s insulting statement.

“Personally speaking, me and him was cool, so I didn’t know where that came from. Certain things he said about me, half was true, half was a lie. But to each his own.”
“I don’t even get into that part of it because, see, I’m the type of person [where] if I have a problem with you, Charlamagne, I’ma call you. We’re either gonna talk it out, we’re gonna duke it out, but we’re gonna handle it man-to-man. I don’t talk behind people’s backs and that’s what social media is: if you go onto a platform and talk about a person without you addressing them yourself when you have opportunities to get in contact with them and let it be known.”

He then outright denied Williams’ claim that he can’t read, citing his history in radio as evidence.
“First of all, its a lie….I used to [do radio at WBLS]. Everybody in radio wants to be like y’all and be syndicated. But if you’re not syndicated and you just got one godd**ned station, [the] only way you get some money [is] off live reads!”

He added that he was also a member of Upward Bound, an educational program that allows for high school students to take college prep courses. This would obviously require one to have a decent grasp of language. Check out the clip below.
Williams’ original statement to Shannon Sharpe suggested otherwise, as he told the athlete-turned-podcaster, “Why Earthquake not in movies?’ Cuz he’s illiterate. He can’t read. And they found that out when they gave him a show and then put the cards in front of him.”

Katt did add, however, that Earthquake has likely “never been boo’d… I don’t think he’s ever given a bad performance in his life.”
The Pimp Chronicles comic also took shots at Kevin Hart, Tiffany Haddish, Steve Harvey, Cedric The Entertainer, Michael Blackson and several other stand-ups during the nearly 3-hour interview.

Mary J. Blige reveals that she will not be performing at 2024 Lovers & Friends festival
The official Instagram account for Lovers & Friends stated that Mary J. Blige has been confirmed for the festival.
On Wednesday (Jan. 24), the official lineup for the 2024 Lovers & Friends festival was revealed on social media with a wealth of Hip Hop and R&B stars slated to perform. Unfortunately, at least two of the artists listed will not be taking to the stage in Las Vegas as expected.

Mary J. Blige hopped on her Instagram Stories to shut down any hopes of seeing her at the big event. “I am beyond humbled by the response from all of you about the announcement of me on Lovers & Friends festival. Unfortunately, my inclusion was an error, as I will be busy in preparation for my Strength of A Woman Summit just one week later!” she wrote. “I have the greatest fans in the world and can’t wait to see you in New York in a few short months!”

Blige wasn’t the only artist who appeared to put distance between themselves and the upcoming festival. In the comments section of Lovers & Friends’ Instagram announcement post, Mase asked to be taken off the flyer. No reason was given as to why the “It Is What It Is” co-host was confirmed in the first place.
Outside of Blige and Mase, Janet Jackson, Backstreet Boys, Snoop Dogg, Nas, Ludacris, Nelly, Ashanti and many more are expected to entertain the crowd when Lovers & Friends comes to the Las Vegas Festival Grounds on May 4. Usher and Lil Wayne were also tapped to deliver performances of their classic LPs, Confessions and Tha Carter III, respectively.

As previously reported, Lovers & Friends was initially meant to take place near Los Angeles in 2020. Soon after the inaugural reveal, the production was met with some controversy after some artists claimed they weren’t involved, including Twista and Lil’ Kim. The event was ultimately cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Zoë Kravitz’s Directorial Debut ‘Pu**y Island’ Renamed to ‘Blink Twice’

*Zoë Kravitz’s upcoming directorial debut “Pu**y Island,” has undergone a title change.
Amazon MGM Studios is now calling the feature film “Blink Twice,” and it will debut in theaters on Aug. 23, People reports.
According to Deadline, the story centers on a young waitress who infiltrates a philanthropist and tech mogul’s private island, which has more to it than meets the eye. The logline, per THR, reads, “There is something wrong with this place. She’ll have to uncover the truth if she wants to make it out of this party alive.”

Kravitz’s fiancee, Channing Tatum, portrays billionaire tech mogul Slater King, who invites friends to a mysterious private island.
“As a woman in general, and a woman in this industry, I’ve experienced some pretty wild behavior from the opposite sex,” Kravitz previously told Deadline about the project. “The title was kind of a joke at first, this place where people would go, bring women, party, and hang out. The story evolved into something else, but the title wound up having multiple meanings. And it alludes to this time and place we claim to not be in anymore, in terms of sexual politics.”

She added, “People are evolving and changing, but there is still a bad taste in a lot of people’s mouths from past behavior,” Kravitz continued. “It’s a nod to that, but it’s also playful and a really playful film in a lot of ways. I like that the title leads with that and has some heavy meaning beneath it.”
We reported earlier that Kravitz co-wrote the script with E.T. Feigenbaum of “High Fidelity.”
As People reports, the film’s cast includes Naomi Ackie, Geena Davis, Alia Shawkat, Simon Rex, Haley Joel Osment, Adria Arjona, Christian Slater and Kyle MacLachlan.

Kravitz elaborated on the film’s original title in a 2022 interview with WSJ. Magazine.
“The title came from that world. The title is the seed of the story,” she said at the time. “It represents this time where it would be acceptable for a group of men to call a place that and the illusion that we’re out of that time now.”

LEGO to bring Pharrell Williams to life in upcoming animated biopic 'Piece By Piece'
Pharrell Williams is set to bring his life story to the big screen in an animated format using LEGO bricks. Titled Piece by Piece, the upcoming project will arrive in collaboration with The LEGO Group, Oscar-winning director Morgan Neville and Focus Features.

In a press statement, Pharrell expressed his intent to avoid a conventional biopic format, opting for a dynamic narrative instead. He explained, “I’m honored to share this with the world and bring people into my universe. Building with LEGO bricks encourages us to follow our imagination… Who would’ve thought that playing with these toys as a kid would evolve into a movie about my life? It’s proof that anyone else can do it, too.”

Focus Features chairman Peter Kujawski lauded the Louis Vuitton men’s creative director for his multifaceted influence across various creative industries, from music to fashion. “In partnering with the inimitable Morgan Neville and the limitless creativity of the LEGO brand, his visionary spirit comes to life in a wholly unique and uplifting way that will inspire everyone to dance, to sing, and to use their voice to build the world they want to see brick by brick, and piece by piece,” he said.

Neville also shared his enthusiasm for the project, which he joined five years ago at Pharrell’s request. He praised the creative team assembled for the unique film. “It was one of those rare moments where I knew in a second that this was a journey I wanted to go on,” the director said. “I’m grateful to our partners at Focus Features and at The LEGO Group for their belief in our crazy mission.” Audiences can anticipate a theatrical release on Oct. 11.

Harry Connick Sr., Longtime New Orleans District Attorney and Singer's Father, Dead at 97
Harry Connick Sr., the father of singer Harry Connick Jr. and longtime district attorney of New Orleans, has died at age 97.
Connick died peacefully at his home in New Orleans with his wife, Londa, and children — Suzanna and Harry Jr., 56 — by his side, according to an obituary shared by Harry Jr.'s publicist.
Harry Sr. served as the district attorney for the city of New Orleans from 1973-2003, winning reelection four times before retiring undefeated in 2003, per the AP.
In a statement provided to the AP, current New Orleans district attorney Jason Williams expressed his sympathies to the Connick family.

“Mr. Connick remains the longest-tenured District Attorney, serving from 1973-2003. Such a longstanding public servant gives an enormous amount of themselves to their community — as do their families. Our thoughts are with the Connick family during this difficult time,” he wrote.
Harry Sr. was born March 27, 1926, in Mobile, Ala., and moved to New Orleans when he was 2 years old. He served in the Navy in World War II and after he graduated from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, he wed Anita Frances Livingston, with whom he shared Suzanna and Harry Jr, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune,

Harry Sr. owned and operated two record stores in New Orleans around the time his children were born, and per the Times-Picayune, he and Harry Jr were later among the founders of New Orleans musical organization, Krewe of Orpheus.
Like his son, Harry Sr. enjoyed music and was a regular performer at many French Quarter clubs, the AP reported.

His son made regular trips to visit his father, whom he called his "hero and inspiration."
"Hangin' with my dad - my FAVORITE thing in the world!," the singer captioned an Instagram post from October. "I come to see him about once a month in new orleans and it's still not enough! at 97, he continues to be my hero and inspiration... i love you sooooo much, dad!!!"

After Livingston died from cancer in 1981, Connick wed Londa Jean Matherne in 1995.
A marriage to Barbara Bossetta was also reported by the Times-Picayune as ending in divorce, although the dates of the marriage were not provided.
According to the AP, during his tenure as district attorney Harry Sr. was at the helm of action to prevent prostitutes and shut down adult book shops in New Orleans in the '70s and '80s and in the '90s, pushed for the death penalty in first-degree murder cases, leading to backlash from anti-capital punishment organizations.

“He was driven by an incredible sense of justice,” defense lawyer Ralph Capitelli, who served as Harry Sr.'s deputy for several years, told the Times-Picayune.
Pat Fanning, who was an assistant to Harry Sr. before becoming a defense lawyer, also described the latter's approach to his work.

“He thought his job was to take people who victimize people off the street, not to rehabilitate them but to put them where they couldn’t hurt anybody else," Fanning said.
In 1990, per the AP, he was charged with racketeering and aiding a sports-betting operation, though he was acquitted and continued to serve as district attorney.

According to the APf, ollowing his retirement, Harry Sr. saw this reputation challenged over claims that his office had intentionally withheld evidence favoring defendants.
The outlets referred to a 2011 case, in which John Thompson had filed a case with the U.S. Supreme Court after serving 14 years in jail for a death he was not responsible for, following prosecution by Harry Sr.'s office. According to the Times-Picayune, a former prosecutor had later revealed that he had withheld evidence in the case, which ultimately led to Thompson's conviction being overturned.

In a ruling that garnered a sharp dissent from the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg, the Supreme Court ultimately ruled in favor of the New Orleans district attorney’s office and overturned a multi-million dollar payment that had been awarded to Thompson over his wrongful conviction.
According to multiple outlets, the Supreme Court ruling stated that the district attorney's office should not be penalized for not having specially trained its prosecutors that they were obligated to share evidence in which a defendant’s innocence may be proved.

A further case in 2014 led to the issue being raised again, however, though Harry Sr. did not comment at the time, per the AP, he did discuss his "reputation" in a 2012 interview with the Times-Picayune.
“My reputation is based on something other than a case, or two cases or five cases, or one interception or 20 interceptions,” he told the newspaper in 2012, per the two outlets. “Look at the rest of my record. ... Perfect? No. But I’ve done nothing to go to confession about in that office. At all.”
