#MAGFAB: Kaia Gerber is Vogue's December Cover Star
Throughout 2024, Anna Wintour has played it safe as Vogue‘s head honcho – until now. After all, the industry icon who has held the position as editor-in-chief since 1988 has welcomed a whole slew of old faces back onto the cover of the American fashion bible. Those faces have included everyone from Zendaya to Kendall Jenner and Blake Lively to Kamala Harris. However, Wintour throws us a curveball to round out the year, enlisting none other than Marc Jacobs as Vogue guest editor – the magazine’s very first. The famed American fashion designer secured Kaia Gerber as his Vogue cover star in the process, who posed for firm forum favorite Steven Meisel and artist Anna Weyant. In the first and second of the three collectable covers (below), Kaia is dressed by Grace Coddington in looks from Jacobs’ Spring 2024 collection.
“YES! I love everything. Meisel is back at US Vogue, Kaia giving us her best work in a long time, and in that Marc Jacobs collection. What a dream!” immediately exclaimed ReneSanchez.

“I have to say, this really caught me off guard. The art direction here is stunning. There’s a great mix of fashion, beauty and art. Vogue should definitely think outside the box more often with their covers. Plus, we’ve got Meisel back on Vogue!” heralded Kenny. “Very fun and surprising!” chimed in LastNight.
Also very much a fan was MModa. “Spectacular! The issue will be a Christmas gift to myself. Absolutely love the full-body cover. I love the Marc Jacobs evening dress, the hair, the makeup, and the high-fashion drama. The colors look delicious. I love that the issue is edited by the brilliant Marc Jacobs. A fantastic way to end the year,” they applauded.

“I’m into this, and I’m not even a massive Marc Jacobs fan,” confessed vogue28. “This level of fun, joy, and playfulness is precisely what’s missing from fashion magazines nowadays. Those covers with Kaia Gerber by Steven Meisel are delightful, so vibrant and visually arresting.”

#RHOA: OH? Eva Marcille Reacts to New Real Housewives of Atlanta Cast: "I Know the Fans Are..."
Eva Marcille might be across the world from Atlanta in Peacock’s original new series Eat Slay Love, but she’s still close with some of her former costars from The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
The former Housewife and her gal pals Tammy Rivera and Nivea chatted with Bravo’s The Daily Dish to discuss their wild adventures from their unforgettable girls’ trip to Vietnam in Eat Slay Love, now available to stream on Peacock. Eva, who also lived it up with others from the Housewives franchise for the second season of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip, called the new series “a testament to female friendship.”

Clearly, she's formed a tight bond with her Eat Slay Love castmates. But who does Eva keep in touch with from RHOA? Here's what she had to say.
The model and actress, who appeared on RHOA as a main cast member for Seasons 11 and 12, told The Daily Dish, “Oh, yes,” when asked if she still keeps in touch with the Atlanta Housewives.

Eva said she and Cynthia Bailey also maintained a relationship, adding that they’d just exchanged texts about the “crazy election” in which Donald Trump was voted in as the 47th U.S. President. Kandi Burruss Tucker was another, with Eva referring to the Housewife as “my baby.”

“I don’t miss anything she does,” Eva said of the latter. “I support all her endeavors.” Eva especially appreciated what Kandi has done for the Black community.
“Black women in this space are so underrepresented, and she goes above and beyond and continues to move the needle forward,” Eva continued.

“I cannot wait for the world to see the Shamea that I know,” Eva said, much to the excitement of her fellow Eat Slay Love costars. “She’s a boss!”
Eva said she was “so excited” to see multiple comebacks on RHOA Season 16, including Shamea (a longtime supporting cast member, earning the Housewife title for the first time in the upcoming season) as well as Porsha Williams, returning after a three-year hiatus.

Shamea and Porsha join returning ’Wife Drew Sidora, plus new peach holders Brittany Eady, Kelli Ferrell, and Angela Oakley, as previously reported by The Daily Dish.
Cynthia is also slated for an epic return as a friend of the series, premiering in 2025.
When asked about who the perfect Housewife on the Atlanta series would be, Eva chose Tammy Rivera from her Eat Slay Love girl gang. Tammy, however, figured she wasn’t witty enough for the type of “good comebacks” often heard on the Atlanta series.

Eva and Nivea disagreed.
“You’re so quick-witted, and you are so accomplished, and you’re so comfortable in who you are,” Eva reassured the former Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta star. “You would be perfect for Atlanta Housewives because Housewives, period, represent the elite, the women of the town. How ever you started in this business, or whatever business you’re in, it’s highlighting the beauty of that woman, and so you are a perfect candidate.”

She added Tammy would “kill” on the series.
Until then, see Eva, Nivea, Tammy, and London Hughes on a getaway unlike any other in Eat Slay Love, now available to watch exclusively on Peacock.

#HipHopNews: Lil Uzi Vert Releases ‘Eternal Atake 2’ With Lone Feature From Big Time Rush
Lil Uzi Vert’s long-awaited Eternal Atake 2 dropped at midnight (Nov. 1). Across its 16 tracks, the project came with a lone feature from Big Time Rush as well as surefire cuts like “Paars In The Mars,” “Chill Bae” and “Space High.”
Opening with the WondaGurl-produced “We Good,” Uzi addressed their controversial usage of nitrous oxide: “They thought I was a dead guy/ I was on that NOS.” In the next track, “Light Year (Practice),” the artist compared themself to Tony Hawk and NBA legend Dikembe Mutombo. Meanwhile, “Black Hole” included a call to “free Slime” — Young Thug was coincidentally released from prison on Thursday (Oct. 31).

Alongside “Chill Bae,” Uzi released a visual where they’re in a The Truman Show-like scenario, with thousands of aliens observing them. Thanks to a crazed fan, the rapper jolted back to reality before escaping back to Earth via a UFO. In the official trailer for Eternal Atake 2, it was teased that the Philadelphia native “mysteriously vanished” on March 6, 2020, the first LP’s release date.

Much like Eternal Atake, the sequel continued the Heaven’s Gate-inspired theme. Speaking to Complex, two of the cult’s former members described the imagery as a “distortion and misuse” of their IP.
“Give the Group some respect. And don’t try to offer to buy us off, like last time. We do not want your money, no matter how much it is,” they told the publication. “We have not listened to Vert’s music. Living in this world is hard enough as it is, and we do not need the brain damage involved in listening to his works.”

Eternal Atake was released with fan favorites such as “Baby Pluto,” “P2” and “Futsal Shuffle 2020.” Uzi later expanded the project with guest appearances from Young Thug, NAV, Chief Keef, Lil Durk, 21 Savage and Future, to name a few.

Jaleel White Explains Declining ‘Family Matters’ Reboot In ‘Growing Up Urkel’ Memoir

Family Matters fans hoping for a reboot with Steve Urkel might want to forget about it. Jaleel White—who played the iconic character—recently shared why it would be impossible for him to “recreate” the magic that the ’90s sitcom had.
In a promotional video for his memoir Growing Up Urkel, the 47-year-old detailed why he turned down a Netflix reboot pitch back in 2013 or 2014, on the heels of Full House‘s reboot (Fuller House) having success.

“It didn’t make any sense to me,” he said, explaining that a Family Matters reboot modeled after Fuller House felt forced. “I didn’t feel that it was right for us to copy what Full House had done to fit inside someone’s business model to capture the magic that made our show make sense.”
For White, he would rather share a real story “inspired by what really happened,” behind the scenes. “How Family Matters came to pass is actually a greater story than what was made up inside the show,” he said. “Family Matters was never intended for me to be the star, and growing up on a studio lot while attending public school—that’s a story that would resonate today.”

White’s vision, however, wasn’t shared by one of the show’s former producers, who bluntly told him there was no interest in his “memoirs.” Begging to differ, White connected the latter moment to present day, adding, “Here we are, 12 years later. And I think there might be some people who would want to hear those stories.”

During ‘90s Con 2024, White revealed more reasons for his hesitation. For one, he mentioned that his voice deepened with age, and bringing back Steve Urkel’s nasally tone would be a struggle for him. He also shared that he suffered vocal strain from speaking in Urkel’s high pitch during his teen years, which also affected him in adulthood.

Additionally, White brought up his dynamic love triangle portrayed on the show between him, Myra and Laura (Kellie Shanygne Williams)—and explained how the “magic” wouldn’t be possible to recreate.
“Without Michelle, I just don’t want to do it as a straight Fuller House reboot; it wouldn’t work,” he admitted. Michelle Thomas, who played Myra Monkhouse, passed away in 1998.

So, while Family Matters holds a special place in TV history—for White, the story doesn’t need anymore chapters and is complete as it is.

Tyrese Gibson forcefully denies links to Diddy party scandal
The Fast & Furious franchise star Tyrese Gibson has stepped forward to address intensifying rumors connecting him to Sean “Diddy” Combs’ ongoing legal challenges. As the founder of Bad Boy Records faces mounting allegations ahead of his May 2025 trial, Gibson’s swift response highlights the ripple effects of the investigation throughout the entertainment industry. The actor’s public statement comes at a crucial moment when social media speculation threatens to overshadow his decades-long career achievements in both music and film.

The widening investigation
Federal authorities continue their comprehensive probe into allegations of sex trafficking and racketeering against Combs, with potential evidence reportedly circulating within Hollywood’s inner circles. In a significant development last September, attorney Ariel Mitchell-Kidd revealed to news outlets about attempts to acquire footage allegedly featuring high-profile entertainment figures at private gatherings. The investigation has expanded beyond initial scope, drawing attention from multiple law enforcement agencies and raising questions about the extent of potential misconduct within the industry’s elite circles.

Gibson’s emphatic denial
Taking to social media platforms where the speculation had reached a fever pitch, Gibson directly confronted the rumors head-on. The award-winning recording artist acknowledged his presence at several of Combs’ renowned social gatherings while firmly rejecting any suggestion of improper conduct or compromising footage. His statement emphasized the importance of distinguishing between attending industry events and any alleged illegal activities. Gibson’s response reflects the delicate balance public figures must maintain when addressing sensitive legal matters involving former associates.

Historical context
The investigation into Combs has cast a long shadow over decades of star-studded events that once defined the pinnacle of entertainment industry networking. These gatherings, which attracted A-list celebrities and power players, have now become a focal point of federal scrutiny. The parties, dating back to the late 1990s, were once considered essential networking opportunities for aspiring artists and established stars alike. The current investigation has prompted a reevaluation of these events’ true nature and their potential role in alleged criminal activities.

Industry impact
The escalating situation has forced numerous celebrities to reevaluate their past associations with Combs, with Gibson’s public statement reflecting a broader trend of entertainment figures carefully distancing themselves from the embattled music mogul. The ripple effects extend beyond individual reputations, affecting ongoing projects, business partnerships, and future collaborations throughout the entertainment industry. Production companies and brands are now conducting thorough reviews of their associations with individuals potentially connected to the investigation, leading to a broader industry-wide reassessment of professional relationships.

Looking ahead
As the case moves toward its trial date, the entertainment industry braces for potential revelations that could reshape public perceptions of one of hip-hop’s most influential figures. Gibson’s preemptive response underscores the high stakes for those in Combs’ broad social circle as federal investigators delve deeper into the allegations. Legal experts anticipate that the upcoming trial could set precedents for how the entertainment industry addresses similar situations in the future, potentially leading to stricter protocols for industry events and professional gatherings.

Michael Strahan slammed for not putting hand on heart during national anthem

NFL legend and “Good Morning America” host Michael Strahan is being excoriated on social media by conservatives for not putting his hand over his heart for the national anthem.
Strahan, who is also a NFL Hall of Fame inductee also co-hosts the NFL’s pre-show, “NFL on Fox,” was part of the team covering a special Veterans Day broadcast from the San Diego Naval Base.

When cameras panned to the Fox crew, each NFL analyst had their hand over their heart, sans Strahan, who stood with his hands clasped in front of him.
Some NFL fans took great umbrage that Strahan would “disrespect” the flag on the eve of Veterans Day on Nov. 11.

Some veterans flame Michael Strahan while Many other fans defend Michael Strahan
To be sure, Strahan grew up a “military brat” as he grew up with his father serving in the U.S. Army for 23 years, many of them in Germany.

Strahan, therefore, had plenty of supporters who stated that the former New York Giants sack specialist did nothing wrong. They also illuminated the blatant hypocrisy of many Strahan detractors as President-elect Donald Trump also had his hands down during the playing of the “Star-Spangled Banner” when he was commander-in-chief the first time around.
“Strahan is the son of a Retired MAJ! I’m sure he has more respect for this country than you ever will!” one X user penned.

A Trial date Has Been set for ex-DA Jackie Johnson: a step forward in the fight for justice for Ahmaud Arbery
BRUNSWICK, GA.-We have learned the former Georgia district attorney tied to the case of Ahmaud Arbery murder, Jackie Johnson, is set to go to trial for her alleged interference in the case.
‘This fight is not over:’ Family of 10-month-old left in hot car files lawsuit after babysitter found guilty of murder
Multiple events planned across Northeast Florida for Veterans Day to honor those who serve

Ahmaud Arbery’s father told Action News Jax he has been waiting for this part of the case to be resolved for years.
“We’re supposed to have had justice on her because she is the ring leader,” Marcus Arbery said. “It’s time for her to come to justice. It’s been a long time coming. My boy has been dead. Going on for five years now. My family is still hurting and suffering,” Marcus said.

Johnson faces charges of misconduct for allegedly interfering in the investigation of Arbery’s shooting death in February 2020. The case drew national attention when three men—Greg McMichael, Travis McMichael, and William “Roddie” Bryan—were arrested and ultimately tried and convicted of murder and federal hate crimes for their roles in the 25-year-old man’s killing.

The three white men chased Arbery, who was black, as he was running through the Satilla Shores neighborhood near Brunswick. Travis McMichael shot Arbery and Bryan recorded it on his phone.
Greg McMichael was a retired investigator who had worked under Johnson, complicating the case further.

Marcus Arbery’s words underscore the struggle his family has faced while seeking accountability for those involved in his son’s death and those who initially investigated the case. Johnson was in office at the time of Arbery’s killing. She’s accused of showing favoritism towards the McMichael family and failing to properly investigate the case.
As the trial date approaches, the Arbery family continues to advocate for justice and systemic reform within the legal system. The Jury selection is scheduled to begin on January 21 in Glynn County.
Marcus said he just wants one thing.
" I just want justice. 100% justice for Ahmaud."

The earlier film, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, revolves around Hunt and his fight against a sentient AI with potentially destructive capabilities.

Besides Cruise and Bassett, the cast reprising their roles includes Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Esai Morales, Pom Klementieff, Vanessa Kirby, Mariela Garriga, Henry Czerny, Shea Whigham, Greg Tarzan Davis, Charles Parnell, and Frederick Schmidt. Twitter founder Jack Dorsey prohibits Block employees from mentioning Jay-Z
In a surprising turn of events, Jack Dorsey, the founder of Twitter, has reportedly implemented a ban on mentioning Jay-Z within his tech company, Block. This news has raised eyebrows, especially considering that Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, serves as one of the nine board members at Block.

Strict warnings issued to employees
According to a report by Fortune, Dorsey and his management team have been issuing “stern warnings” to employees regarding discussions about the hip-hop mogul. Employees have been instructed not to reference Jay-Z in any internal communications, including emails and messages on platforms like Slack. This directive has left many staff members puzzled, as they were not provided with any rationale for the ban.

Background on Jay-Z’s role at Block
Jay-Z’s involvement with Block dates back to 2021 when the company acquired a significant stake in his music streaming platform, Tidal. His position on the board has been influential, yet recent events have cast a shadow over his role. Following the federal arrest of his longtime friend, Sean “Diddy” Combs, on serious charges, employees began questioning Jay-Z’s standing within the company.

Layoffs and discontent at Block
The atmosphere at Block has been tense, with the company undergoing a series of layoffs that have left many employees disgruntled. Just last week, Tidal reportedly cut dozens of jobs from its already small staff, and further layoffs are anticipated at Block’s other acquisitions, including Cash App and Square. These developments have contributed to a growing sense of unease among employees, who are grappling with job security and the implications of the company’s recent decisions.

Impact of the ban on company culture
The ban on mentioning Jay-Z raises important questions about company culture and the implications of such restrictions on employee morale. In a workplace where open communication is essential for collaboration and innovation, prohibiting discussions about a prominent board member can create an atmosphere of distrust and fear. Employees may feel stifled, leading to decreased productivity and engagement.

As the situation unfolds, it remains to be seen how this ban will affect Block’s operations and employee relations. The tech industry is known for its dynamic nature, and companies must navigate complex interpersonal relationships and public perceptions. For now, the silence surrounding Jay-Z at Block speaks volumes about the challenges the company faces in maintaining a cohesive and motivated workforce.

Megan Thee Stallion’s heated legal battle with former photographer continues

Megan Thee Stallion, the Grammy-winning rapper and cultural icon, is currently embroiled in a legal battle with her former photographer, Emilio Garcia. The case has taken a dramatic turn as Garcia’s legal team faces potential sanctions after failing to attend a crucial pre-trial conference in Manhattan federal court.

Background of the lawsuit
The lawsuit was initiated by Garcia in April, alleging harassment by Megan Thee Stallion during an incident that reportedly occurred in Ibiza, Spain. According to Garcia, he was trapped in a moving vehicle while Megan engaged in sexual activity with another woman. He claims that during this incident, he was warned to never discuss what he saw, which he interprets as a form of intimidation.

In addition to the harassment claims, Garcia has accused Megan of fat-shaming and creating a hostile work environment. This lawsuit has raised significant questions about the treatment of individuals in the entertainment industry, particularly those who work behind the scenes.

Recent developments in court
As reported by Meghann Cuniff, the absence of Garcia’s lawyers at the pre-trial conference has put them in a precarious position. The judge has demanded an explanation from the legal team by Tuesday, outlining why they should not face penalties for their absence. This development adds another layer of complexity to an already contentious legal battle.

Upcoming court dates
Despite the hiccup with the lawyers, the case is set to continue with another conference scheduled for Nov. 18. This upcoming meeting will be critical in determining the next steps for both parties involved. As the legal proceedings unfold, many are watching closely to see how this case will impact Megan Thee Stallion’s career and public image.

Public reaction and implications

The lawsuit has sparked a variety of reactions from fans and the public. Many are expressing their support for Megan, while others are concerned about the implications of the allegations against her. This case highlights the often-overlooked challenges faced by individuals in the entertainment industry, particularly those who may feel powerless in the face of harassment or intimidation.

As discussions around workplace harassment and the treatment of employees gain traction in society, this lawsuit serves as a reminder of the importance of accountability and transparency in all professional environments.
Megan Thee Stallion’s legal troubles with Emilio Garcia underscore the complexities of relationships within the entertainment industry. As the case progresses, it will be essential to monitor the developments closely. The outcome could have significant ramifications not only for Megan but also for the broader conversation about workplace conduct and the treatment of individuals in creative fields.

Jada Pinkett Smith Sparks Health Concerns After Looking 's Strange On Date Night With Husband Will
Jada Pinkett Smith has left social media users wondering if she is fine. The former "Red Table Talk" host sparked health concerns after looking "rough" when she enjoyed a rare date night with her husband Will Smith.
On Sunday, November 10, the 53-year-old actress became a hot topic on X, formerly known as Twitter, and Instagram following the night out with her husband. Social media users were expressing their concerns about her health.

Taking to Instagram, one in particular argued, "She doesn't look heathy." Another asked, "Man, Jada is looking rough. What's going on with her?" A third stated, "She doesn't have eyebrows now? Idk it could be alopecia. I pray that's what it is but it looks like it could be something else. What if Jada was sick all of this time so when Chris Rock said that joke it triggered Will?"

Meanwhile, a fourth apparently blamed Jada's eyebrows for her worrying look. The user tweeted, "#JadaPinkettSmith steps out one day with no eyebrows on, and everyone thinks she's mid health crisis now. Ladies I've said it time and again, your #EYEBROWS are SO IMPORTANT. Right after your smile it's the first thing people notice. Never leave home without them! #EyebrowsMatter."

On the other hand, a fifth compared Jada to "an anorexic boy." The user penned, "Jada looks like an anorexic boy and Will looks like a mechanic..or the valet guy," before adding a laughing face emoji.

The comments came a few days after Jada and Will were out and about in Calabasas, California. On Thursday, November 7, the wedded couple stepped out together for the first time in five months. Joined by British life coach Jay Shetty, they grabbed dinner at Crossroads Restaurant.
During the relaxing outing, Jada, who flaunted a clean-shaven look with barely there eyebrows, and Will were not shy to show their affection towards each other. The pair appeared close as they shared a hug before leaving the restaurant.

#BoxOfficeNews: ‘Venom 3’ is #1 again as, As ‘Heretic’ Scares Up $11 Million Debut

“Venom: The Last Dance” is looming over the domestic box office in its third weekend of release. The third and final installment in Sony’s comic book trilogy has added $16.2 million from 3,905 North American theaters, down 37% from the prior frame and enough to lead over two newcomers, A24’s horror thriller “Heretic” and Lionsgate’s family friendly “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever.”

Although those new releases weren’t able to topple “Venom 3” from No. 1, they opened on the higher end of expectations, thanks to word-of-mouth and the otherwise desolate movie theater landscape. Hollywood mostly avoided the post-election weekend out of concern that people wouldn’t be paying attention to anything other than the presidential race. As a result, overall domestic box office revenues remain down more than 11% from 2023 and nearly 27% from 2019, according to Comscore.

“Heretic,” featuring “Notting Hill” star Hugh Grant playing against type as a villain, notched third place with $11 million from 3,221 venues. The cat-and-mouse thriller follows two young Mormon missionaries (Sophie Thatcher and Chloe East) who make the grave mistake of knocking on the door of a reclusive Englishman (Grant). Critics dug the film, which holds a 93% on Rotten Tomatoes, and its “C+” grade on CinemaScore isn’t all that surprising for a horror story with a divisive ending.
“This is a very good opening for an original horror film,” says David A. Gross, who runs the movie consulting firm Franchise Entertainment Research. “2024 isn’t the strongest year at the box office, but the horror genre is alive and fully engaging its young audience.”

A very different kind of religious parable, “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” opened at No. 2 with $11.1 million from 3,020 locations. However, this number is skewed because it includes $2.2 million from last week’s one-night-only sneak preview screening. The low-budget, faith-based film about six naughty siblings who take over the local church holiday pageant and learn the true meaning of Christmas has been roundly embraced by critics and audiences. “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever,” directed by Dallas Jenkins (“The Chosen”) and starring Judy Greer, Pete Holmes and Lauren Graham, received an 89% average on Rotten Tomatoes and “A” grade on CinemaScore.

“Two-and-a-half weeks before Thanksgiving, the film is getting a jump on the other broad-appeal holiday releases,” Gross says, referring to Amazon’s Christmas comedy “Red One,” with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson playing Santa’s head of security, on Nov. 15, followed by Paramount’s “Gladiator II” and Universal’s “Wicked” on Nov. 22, and Disney’s “Moana 2” on Nov. 27. “With support, [‘The Best Christmas Pageant Ever’] has a chance of holding its own heading into strong Thanksgiving competition.”

“Venom: The Last Dance” has generated $114 million in North America and $394.2 million globally to date. Though it’s falling short of other entries in the Tom Hardy-led symbiote saga — 2018’s “Venom” powered to $213 million domestically and $856 million globally and 2021’s “Let There Be Carnage” ended with $213 million domestically and $506 million worldwide — this entry will be decently positioned in its theatrical run against its $120 million budget.

Elsewhere at the domestic box office, Universal and DreamWorks Animation’s “The Wild Robot” dropped to fourth place with $6.6 million from 3,051 theaters in its seventh weekend on the big screen. The well-reviewed family film has endured at the box office with minimal week-to-week drops (this weekend was down only 11%), earning $130.2 million domestically and $292 million worldwide so far.

Paramount’s pop star parable “Smile 2” rounded out the top five with $5 million from 2,822 locations, declining just 26% from the prior weekend. After four weekends on the big screen, the R-rated sequel to 2022’s thriller “Smile” has generated $60.5 million in North America and $123.6 million worldwide. It cost $28 million and will become profitable, but the original was bigger with $105 million in North America and $217 million globally.

Also of note, “Here,” a fantasy drama that uses AI so Tom Hanks and Robin Wright can play younger (and older) versions of themselves, stumbled to the No. 8 spot with $2.4 million its second weekend of release. Ticket sales declined 52% from its soft $5 million debut, bringing the Robert Zemeckis-directed film to $9.3 million domestically. “Here,” produced and financed by Miramax and distributed by Sony, cost $45 million and needs a long life in theaters to justify that price tag.

Meanwhile, the Ralph Fiennes-led thriller “Conclave” enjoyed another strong showing with $4.1 million from 2,283 theaters, enough for sixth place on domestic charts. The adult-skewing film, a Vatican-set drama from Focus Features, has grossed a solid $21.5 million after three weekends, with New York and other East Coast markets bringing in the biggest audience.
“‘Conclave’ has truly been a standout among awards season dramas,” says senior Comscore analyst Paul Dergarabedian. “An ideal release date and a slow rollout positioned the film perfectly for continued success throughout the holiday and awards seasons.”

Dwayne Johnson Admits He’s Late to Set, Pees in Bottles — But Explains There’s More To It
So, the whole being late to set and peeing in bottles thing? Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson says a report about his disrespectful behavior on the Red One set was partly true, but he and his collaborators are denying certain aspects and insisting it wasn’t nearly as bad as it all sounds.
In a new GQ profile, Johnson was asked about being frequently late to set (a story in The Wrap said he was late an average of seven-to-eight hours per day, and missed several days of shooting, which inflated the cost of the $250 million production by $50 million).

“Yeah, that happens,” Johnson replied. “But not that amount, by the way. That was a bananas amount. That’s crazy. Ridiculous.” He added that the controversy overall was “bullshit.”
Jake Kasdan, who directed the film, was quoted as saying that Johnson “never missed a day of work ever. He has a lot going on. He can be late sometimes, but such is Hollywood—that’s the case with everybody. Honestly, I’ve made three big movies with him. I’ve never seen him be anything but great to every single person on the set.”

Added his co-star Chris Evans: Yes, Johnson can be late due to his morning workouts.
“But this is something that the producers, the director, and it’s all his team, so they all know this. It’s not like he’s late unexpectedly, and I wouldn’t even call it late. He comes in slightly later on certain mornings, but it’s part of the plan. It’s worked into the schedules and everyone knows it, so he shows up when he’s scheduled to show up,” Evans said. “In terms of the guy that I saw, compared to some of the things I’ve seen on other movies with other actors who are not only not conscious of other people’s time and efforts, but they’re unpredictable? I found Dwayne to be—we all know exactly what he’s going to do when he’s going to do it.”

So basically: Sure, The Rock is late, but that’s okay because everybody knows he’s going to be late. Others might point out, however, that being late to a film set can result in hundreds of other people waiting around, so it’s kinda not cool even if people expect you to do it, and even if other actors are worse about it, and even if you make a point of saying hello to the script supervisor.

Still, the overall pushback to the accusation was: Johnson is otherwise very polite, generous and professional towards the crew.
As for peeing in bottles on the set to save time during filming, Johnson replied, “Yeah. That happens.” Unfortunately, the actor wasn’t asked to elaborate.
Johnson certainly is keeping busy. This fall, he has two movies coming: Red One and Moana 2. He’s also currently filming a live-action version of Moana. He’s also recently finished shooting a new drama, The Smashing Machine, and Disney announced he’s going to star in a film called Monster Jam.

Tuskegee University Homecoming Horror: One Dead, 16 Injured in Shooting Incident
Authorities are conducting an ongoing investigation into a tragic shooting that occurred early Sunday morning during the homecoming celebrations on the campus of Tuskegee University in Tuskegee, Alabama.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) reports that the incident left one person dead and 16 others injured, raising concerns and alarm within the community and the university.
At approximately 1:40 a.m. on Sunday, law enforcement was alerted to the shooting. Witnesses indicated that crowds were gathered to celebrate the university’s centennial homecoming when chaos ensued.

An 18-year-old victim was tragically pronounced dead at the scene, while twelve additional victims sustained gunshot wounds and have since been transported to nearby hospitals in Montgomery and Lee Counties. Four others incurred injuries not related to gunfire, further complicating the aftermath of the alarming incident.
Jaquez Myrick, a 25-year-old resident of Montgomery (Alabama), was spotted leaving the scene while carrying a handgun equipped with a machine gun conversion device, according to an official statement from ALEA. Myrick has since been arrested and faces federal charges for illegal possession of a machine gun. The university stated that Myrick was not part of their student body.

In light of the ongoing investigation, the university has canceled all classes for Monday. They have also made arrangements for grief counselors to be available to assist students at the chapel. Tuskegee University emphasized the essential support needed during this difficult time, particularly as many students process the trauma associated with the event.
The shooting at Tuskegee University is not an isolated incident, as it follows a troubling trend of gun violence occurring during homecoming events across the region. Last month alone, multiple shootings were reported, including a deadly incident at Albany State University in Georgia, where one was killed and several were injured, as well as another shooting near Tennessee State University in Nashville that left one dead and nine injured.

The Alabama Bureau of Investigation is working alongside federal, state, and local authorities to gather details surrounding the shooting, with hopes of shedding light on the causes and contributing factors of this recent violence. Community leaders, students, and families alike are left to grapple with the implications of this tragedy, as safety on campus becomes a pressing concern.
As the investigation unfolds, it serves as a stark reminder of the prevalence of gun violence and the devastating impact it can have on educational institutions and communities.
