#MAGFAB: Here's more shots of Naomi Campbell from her Harper's Bazaar US September 2024 Photoshoot in Paris by Max Bodian
“Naomi: In Fashion”, focused on the life and fashion influence of supermodel Naomi Campbell is currently showing at London’s Victoria and Albert Museum and running until April 6, 2025.

It’s a rare V&A cultural and artistic acknowledgement accorded to a single individual. To date, only Alexander McQueen, David Bowie and Frida Kahlo have been honored with solo V&A exhibitions.

Supermodel Naomi Campbell is also center stage in the September 2024 issue of Bazaar US [IG], styled by Carlos Nazario in Bulgari, Chanel, Ferragamo, Loewe, Michael Kors, Phoebe Philo and more.  Malick Bodian [IG] captured Naomi in Paris, “when the rain finally stopped”. / Hair by Jawara; makeup by Pat McGrath and Adam Fleischhauer

Executive digital director for Harper’s Bazaar, Lynette Nylander interviews Campbell, reflecting personally on how seeing Naomi’s images “all over London” impacted her own teenage girl self-development.
Campbell’s influence was massive in London. Nylander shares the experience of telling her own father that she aspired to create a career in the fashion.  The response of her West African, general-practitioner dad with “absolutely no knowledge of fashion” was to ask his daughter if she wanted to be Naomi.

#RHOA: Cynthia Bailey Reunites With Ex-Husband Peter Thomas on His Podcast: ‘A Little Scary’!
The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Cynthia Bailey is opening up about an unexpected reunion.
The model, 57, recently recorded a podcast with her ex-husband, Peter Thomas, to whom she was married from 2010 to 2017. The couple’s wedding and eventual split were documented on the Bravo reality show.

Sharing clips of the interview via her Instagram on Monday, August 19, Cynthia admitted that recording the podcast with her ex was “a little scary” given their history.
“We went through so much together on & off camera as a married couple navigating a new marriage, me moving from nyc to atlanta with my then 8 year old daughter to start a new life, joining the reality show THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF ATLANTA, opening up businesses together, financial woes, real life struggles business & personal, & lastly ultimately going thru a divorce after being married for 8 years,” Cynthia captioned her post.

“It was so interesting & (a little scary for me lol) to sit down with Peter after so many years & so many different feelings and emotions, good and bad,” she continued.
Cynthia, who was a full-time Housewife on RHOA from season 3 to season 13, said she remains good friends with Peter’s daughter, Porsche, and has “rooted for him from afar.”

“When he called me to ask me to do his podcast everything inside of me knew that i had to do it. i needed to do it, and i knew he needed me to do it,” she explained. “It was time to come together in peace, love, light, respect and have real ‘grown folk’ conversation in the spirit of closure, moving on, peace and most importantly healing.”
Ultimately, Cynthia found recording the podcast a cathartic experience and said that it allowed her to put the past behind her.
“I left the podcast feeling happy, lighter, and at peace. And to be honest, we actually had a lot of fun and laughed the entire time,” she wrote.

Cynthia’s love life was well-documented on RHOA. In addition to her romance with Peter, the show captured her relationship and marriage to her second husband, Mike Hill. The couple wed in 2020 and divorced in 2022, a year after Cynthia left the show.
The Bailey Wine Cellar founder returned as a guest star during RHOA season 15 and will be a “friend” on the show’s upcoming 16th season.
The season 16 cast comprises Porsha Williams, Phaedra Parks, Drew Sidora, Shamea Morton Mwangi, Brittany Eady, Kelli Ferrell and Angela Oakley. Kenya Moore was suspended during filming in June after she allegedly shared explicit photos of castmate Brittany.

Speaking exclusively to Us Weekly in June, Cynthia teased the dynamic between the new cast.
“We’re on Week No. 3 and already, these girls are jumping right in getting their hands dirty,” Cynthia told Us. “I think you guys are in for a treat. I think three of them bring just the right amount of new blood that we needed for season sweet 16.”

She continued, “So, it’s gonna be sweet and maybe bittersweet but I think you guys will be entertained.”

#HipHopNews: Adidas Defeats Class-Action Lawsuit About Failing to Disclose Ye’s ‘Offensive and Inappropriate Acts’
Adidas has defeated a class-action lawsuit from investors that accused the company of failing to notify them about Ye's "offensive and inappropriate acts."
On Aug. 16, Judge Karin J. Immergut shot down the case in United States District Court for the District of Oregon following a year of litigation. Judge Immergut sided with the shoe giant, citing the plaintiffs' inability to ultimately prove that Adidas should be held liable for Ye's actions hurting the company's bottom line.

"In sum, Plaintiff has failed to sufficiently plead that Adidas’s Business Partner Risk disclosures, its other risk disclosures, and DEI statements were materially misleading," reads the court ruling, which was obtained by XXL on Monday (Aug. 19).

We have reached out to Adidas for comment.
Ye's whirlwind 2022 included him catching heat for making several anti-Semitic comments. Around the same time, he was also accusing Adidas of stealing his designs. On Oct. 10, 2022, Ye shared a video of him showing staff at Adidas X-rated material during an unhinged product meeting in a 30-minute video titled Last Week. Ye's bigoted comments and erratic behavior caused several companies to part ways with him including Adidas who terminated his contract later that October. The split caused a huge dip in the company's profits.

Last May, several investors filed suit against Adidas claiming the company misled them by not disclosing Ye's behavior sooner. But the Three Stripes was able to win out in court.
Ye and Adidas' relationship might not be completely done. Back in February, Ye met with the CEO of the company Bjørn Gulden after Gulden said he didn't think Ye's anti-Semitic comments were serious.

Jennifer Lopez files for divorce from Ben Affleck
A second chance at a happy ending has proven not to be in the cards for Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck.
The actress and singer filed for divorce from the actor/director on Tuesday in Los Angeles County Superior Court, according to reports by Variety and TMZ. The day also marked the two-year anniversary of the couple’s Georgia wedding ceremony.
Court documents indicate that the two have been separated since April, TMZ reports.

It’s the second failed fairytale ending for the high-profile Hollywood stars.
The two were together for several years in the early 2000s after meeting on the set of the much-maligned film “Gigli.” Their whirlwind romance grabbed tabloid headlines and garnered the iconic portmanteau nickname of “Bennifer.”
The two were engaged during their first go, but ultimately stopped short of the aisle and called it quits in 2004.

After separating, Lopez married Latin music superstar Marc Anthony and Affleck tied the knot with another co-star named Jennifer— “Elektra” star Jennifer Garner.
Lopez and Affleck rekindled their love affair in 2021 after the “Jenny From the Block” singer called off her engagement to baseball star Alex Rodriguez.

The couple again made international headlines once news of their renewed romance came out. Lopez found creative inspiration in the rekindled romance, as it was the subject of her 2024 album “This Is Me… Now” and the narrative-driven musical film, “This is Me.. Now: A Love Story.” Lopez also participated in a documentary film about the making of these projects and how her relationship with Affleck has informed her artistry and life — for which Affleck appeared on camera.

In the documentary, “The Greatest Love Story Never Told,” Lopez recounts the depression she went into after the first breakup from Affleck and how it led to the way her romantic life would play out for the next decade.

But recent months have led to speculation that the two had parted ways once again, with TMZ reporting the stars had stopped speaking to each other altogether. One of the couple’s last public appearances was a May 30 outing for Affleck’s daughter Violet’s graduation, according to People.

TMZ reports Lopez waived spousal support and requested the judge do the same for her soon-to-be ex-husband. Lopez and the “Argo” director have children from previous marriages but not with each other, meaning custody battles won’t play a role in the split.
The split will mark the fourth divorce for Lopez and the second for Affleck.

#DNC24: Barack and Michelle close DNC’s second night with a rousing Harris endorsement and pointed warnings about Trump
CHICAGO (AP) —
Warning of a difficult fight ahead, former President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama on Tuesday called on the nation to embrace Kamala Harris in urgent messages to the Democratic National Convention that were at times both hopeful and ominous.
“America, hope is making a comeback,” the former first lady declared. She then tore into Republican Donald Trump, a sharp shift from the 2016 convention speech in which she told her party, “When they go low, we go high.”

“His limited and narrow view of the world made him feel threatened by the existence of two hardworking, highly educated, successful people who also happened to be Black,” Michelle Obama said of Trump.
Barack Obama, the first Black president in U.S. history, insisted the nation is ready to elect Harris, who is of Jamaican and Indian heritage and would be the nation’s first female president. He also called Trump “a 78-year-old billionaire who hasn’t stopped whining about his problems since he rode down his golden escalator nine years ago.”

“It’s been a constant stream of gripes and grievances that’s actually gotten worse now that he’s afraid of losing to Kamala,” he said.
The fiery messages from two of the Democratic Party’s biggest stars underscored the urgency of the moment as Harris works to stitch together a broad coalition in her bid to defeat Trump this fall. The vice president is drawing on stars like the Obamas and other celebrities, officials from the far left to the middle, and even some Republicans to boost her campaign.

And while the theme of the night was “a bold vision for America’s future,” the disparate factions of Harris’ evolving coalition demonstrated, above all, that they are connected by a deep desire to prevent a second Trump presidency. Former President Barack Obama walked out to a heroes welcome at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago Tuesday night, telling the crowd he’s “fired up” and “hopeful.”

Halle Berry Praises 'Gentleman' Pierce Brosnan For Restoring Her Faith In Men
Halle Berry has shared her admiration for Pierce Brosnan, recalling how he "restored" her faith in men during the filming of the 2002 James Bond movie, "Die Another Day". Speaking to Wired, Berry expressed her unwavering bond with Brosnan, describing him as "the epitome of a gentleman."

At the time of the film's production, Berry was experiencing marital problems with her then-husband, Eric Benet. Brosnan's kindness and respect during the filming process provided solace, helping her regain trust in the opposite sex.
Despite her initial reluctance, Berry's portrayal of Bond girl Jinx in "Die Another Day" became a fan favorite, leading to plans for a spinoff film. However, the project was ultimately scrapped due to budget concerns and a lack of confidence in a black female-led action movie.

Berry's experience reflects the challenges faced by women of color in the entertainment industry. Despite her success and recognition, she faced barriers that hindered her opportunities. Nonetheless, her role in "Die Another Day" remains a significant milestone in Bond history, marking a step towards greater inclusivity in the franchise.

Today, Berry continues to grace the silver screen, starring alongside Mark Wahlberg in the Netflix action movie "The Union". Her legacy as a Bond girl and her unwavering determination continue to inspire audiences worldwide.

Beyoncé launches SirDavis whiskey brand
Beyoncé now has a new way to keep everyone's party going. On Tuesday (Aug. 20), the music legend launched a whisky brand titled SirDavis. The premium beverage was named after her great-grandfather, Davis Hogue.
"I've always been drawn to the power and confidence I feel when drinking quality whisky and wanted to invite more people to experience that feeling," Beyoncé stated in a press release. "When I discovered that my great-grandfather had been a moonshine man, it felt like my love for whisky was fated. SirDavis is a way for me to pay homage to him, uniting us through a new shared legacy."

The Houston icon continued, "In partnering with Moët Hennessy, we have crafted a delicious American whisky that [not only] respects tradition, but also empowers people to experience something new and unique in the category. You can taste it better than I could ever tell you."

As explained on the official website, SirDavis was created with guidance from Dr. Bill Lumsden, a “five-time International Whisky Competition Master Distiller of the Year.” “Here, the complexity of rye is married with the elegance of malted barley. [It’s] finished to perfection in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks,” the description added before noting that the liquor carries “a harmony of spice with sublime hints of fruit.”

Said website also contained a heartfelt open letter that Bey wrote to the whisky's namesake. "I can feel you in the heat of the landscapes. Your laughter rolling in the rye," the message began. "What songs did you sing? What gaps did you fill? Great-grandfather, did you dream of me? Your legacy is a force that drives me. Together, let us pour it, toast to this feat, and usher your craft into the future. For you, I raise my glass to legacy. We ride the movement. We savor the moment."

Those interested can pre-order their own bottle of the 88-proof product for $89.99. Shipments are expected to go out beginning on Sept. 4.

Eric André accuses Melbourne Airport of racial profiling

Actor and comedian Eric André has once again ignited public discourse on racial profiling after claiming he was subjected to discriminatory treatment in Australia. As reported by NBC News on Tuesday (Aug. 20), the Emmy-nominated host of “The Eric André Show” detailed his experience on social media, which took place during a Melbourne stopover while traveling to Brisbane.

"I got detained, and I got pulled out of a lineup, and put in a special line in Melbourne where I was sniffed thoroughly by a dog," he explained in a video on Instagram. "One of the many times I've been racially profiled at the airport. So, this is a message for all Black, brown, and Indigenous people traveling through Melbourne... Please be careful."

André’s allegations prompted a swift response from Melbourne Airport, which categorically denied any tolerance for prejudice against people of color. In addition to responding in the post's comments section, a spokesperson told NBC News, "Melbourne Airport does not tolerate racism in any form. We welcome all passengers to Melbourne, and we expect everyone to be treated equally.” Both the Australian Border Force and the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Forestry were also said to have launched inquiries.

This isn't the first time André spoke out about mistreatment at airports. As REVOLT previously reported, the "Trolls Band Together" talent and comedian Clayton English filed a lawsuit against Georgia’s Clayton County over racial profiling at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. "I was just racially profiled by two plainclothes Atlanta PD police in Delta terminal 3 at the Atlanta airport," he tweeted in 2021. "They stopped me on the way down the bridge to the plane for a 'random' search and asked [if] they could search me for drugs. I told them no." The two subsequently filed an appeal after the lawsuit was dismissed.

Gay couple severely beaten by Shake Shack employees after kissing, video appears to show
A gay couple is speaking out about the horrific attack they endured at a Shake Shack after employees reportedly saw them kissing.
Christian Dingus, 28, and his partner were at a branch of the restaurant in Washington, D.C., with their friends late Saturday when their innocent display of affection sparked a physical confrontation. Dingus told NBC that he and his partner "briefly began to kiss" as they waited for their food when a worker accosted them.

“A worker came out to us and said that, you know, you can’t be doing that here, can’t do that type of stuff here," he recalled.
When Dingus's partner said they had not done anything wrong, he was escorted out of the restaurant, prompting Dingus to follow and defend him. Dingus said a heated argument began, in which the employees levied harsh words against the two. He then told them not to speak to them like that, causing the workers to escalate.

“And then one of the men pretty forcefully pushed me out of the way on my shoulder,” Dingus continued. “Next thing I know, that kind of just, I think, sparked the rest of them. They all just kind of started attacking me at that point, dragging me back through the floor and continuously punching me in my head.”
Video filmed by another patron and obtained by NBC shows a man being pushed and punched by two people in black Shake Shack shirts before two others approach. Dingus said that he does not know how the assault ended, as he curled up on the ground to protect himself.

Dingus did recall one customer exiting the restaurant after the employees to help him. The patron who obtained the video also offered him the footage afterwards, which he showed to the police and released online.
The Metropolitan Police Department is currently investigating the case as a simple assault with an antigay bias motivation. A spokesperson for Shake Shack also told the outlet that it is "aware of the incident on Saturday, August 17, involving team members and a guest at our Dupont Circle location and are taking it very seriously."

Dingus, who was left with a concussion, swollen face, and trauma to his jaw, said that he wants to see those responsible brought to justice.
“There was a desire to be violent towards me, and I think it’s very evident in that film,” Dingus said.

Maya Rudolph previews return to “Saturday Night Live” as Kamala Harris

Maya Rudolph previews return to “Saturday Night Live” as Kamala Harris: 'Everybody's just ready for it'
"I spent so many years on 'SNL' watching other people play presidential candidates and thinking there's no one that resembles me in the race," Rudolph told RuPaul.

Brace yourself: Maya Rudolph might again elect America's foremost FUNT to the office of Chief "Bad Bitch" on Saturday Night Live.
The comedy legend teased her potential return to the iconic sketch series as Vice President Kamala Harris during a Jimmy Kimmel Live interview with RuPaul, who filled in for the titular host on Monday night's episode.

"Will we be seeing Kamala on SNL anytime soon?" RuPaul asked Rudolph, who didn't explicitly confirm she'll return to Studio 8H later this year as Harris' campaign ramps up against Donald Trump ahead of the upcoming presidential election.
Maya Rudolph on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'; Rudolph as Kamala Harris on 'SNL'

"Interesting that you brought this up, because no one has asked me," Rudolph joked. "I've never experienced something like this in any of the work I've done. This has been such a tremendous, exciting time for me that feels so much bigger than me or anything I've ever done. I've played her on the show before, but the minute it was announced that she was running I think I was home watching The Bear and it was announced that I'd confirmed doing SNL. I was like, I did what? Everybody's just ready for it!"

After fronting SNL for seven years between 2000 and 2007, Rudolph has since returned to the series for a number of guest spots and hosting gigs. In 2020, she notably won an Emmy for portraying Harris throughout that year's presidential race, which held personal significance for the actress.
"I would never have believed you if you'd said one day you're going to be playing the presidential candidate. To think that I had anything to do with this by association is mind-blowing," Rudolph told Ru. "I spent so many years on SNL watching other people play presidential candidates and thinking there's no one that resembles me in the race. To think that we're here now, and to think that I'd ever be close by association, is incredible."

She left the audience with a final tease of her potential return as Harris next month. "I mean, I don't know," she said with a smile. "We'll see!"
A looming return as Harris isn't the only career highlight Rudolph might celebrate this year. The 52-year-old Loot actress is currently in the running for Emmys in the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series and Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series categories for her roles in the Apple TV+ program and her recent SNL hosting stint, respectively.

Willie Brown Considers Suing Trump Over Helicopter Story
*Former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown is considering legal action against Donald Trump following a story Trump shared about a near helicopter crash involving Brown.
Brown denied Trump’s claims that he accompanied the former president in a helicopter or made derogatory remarks about Vice President Kamala Harris, whom Brown dated in the 1990s.

We reported earlier that former Los Angeles City Councilman and State Senator Nate Holden previously set the record straight in an interview with POLITICO, about the near-fatal helicopter incident involving Trump. It was Holden, not Brown, who accompanied Trump on the nerve-racking ride.

“Willie is the short Black guy living in San Francisco,” Holden said. “I’m a tall Black guy living in Los Angeles. I guess we all look alike.”
As we reported, the helicopter incident made Holden especially nervous, as it happened in the aftermath of a tragic 1989 chopper crash near Forked River, N.J., which killed five people, including three high-ranking executives from Trump’s casinos.

Trump threatened to sue The New York Times over its coverage of the helicopter story, as he firmly maintains he was in the helicopter with Brown during an emergency landing.
Brown told CBS News, “If he keeps it up, at some point, I’m going to give him a taste of his own conduct,” he said about Trump.
“If he sues The New York Times for printing that I said he lied, I’m going to sue him,” Brown told CBS News.
Trump was speaking at a Mar-a-Lago press conference when he mentioned Willie Brown’s past relationship with Harris and claimed he knew Brown “very well” while recounting the helicopter story.

“We thought maybe this is the end. We were in a helicopter going to a certain location together, and there was an emergency landing,” Trump told reporters.
Brown denied Trump’s account, stating, “I’ve never been in a helicopter with him in my life.”
Brown said “somebody has got to make sure” Trump “stops lying.”

Naomi Osaka is opening up pregnancy rumors. The 26-year-old tennis star spoke out in a TikTok video over the weekend about the difficulties she faced during pregnancy, as well as whether she’s welcoming more babies.

A comment on a previous video questioned if she was pregnant, to which she responded.
“I just wanna say, I’m not preggos, but if I was, I wouldn’t want many more,” she said, adding “because giving birth was traumatic. But thank you, though, for your blessings.”

She welcomed her first child, daughter Shai, with rapper Cordae in July 2023.

Rachel Lindsay to Pay 5- Figure Sum in Divorce Settlement
Back in January The Bachelorette's Rachel Lindsay's husband, Bryan Abasolo, filed for divorce after nearly five years of marriage
Now Rachel has been ordered to pay Bryan a 5-figure sum after splitting community property funds...

From In Touch
Bachelorette alum Rachel Lindsay and her estranged husband Bryan Abasolo reached a deal after he demanded $40,000 from the community property funds, In Touch can exclusively reveal.
According to court documents obtained by In Touch, Rachel, 39, agreed to transfer to Bryan, 44, a total of $43,648 from the community estate.
The funds will be considered an advance distribution of community property to Bryan and shall be charged to Bryan in the ultimate division of the community estate, the filing noted.
Per the agreement, Bryan will withdraw his request for a hearing on the matter. As In Touch first reported, Bryan asked the court for the five-figure sum days after being awarded $13,000 a month in temporary spousal support from Rachel. Bryan said he needed $35,000 to go towards his legal fees and another $5,000 to pay a forensic accountant.

Steve Harvey Tells Dr. Umar “Don’t Insult the Brand Equity” After Claims He and Rickey Smiley Were Paid by Kamala Harris

Steve Harvey has fired back at Dr. Umar Johnson, who called him out just days ago over his support for Kamala Harris.
In case you missed it, Dr. Umar slammed comedians Rickey Smiley and Harvey for publicly supporting Harris, claiming they’d been paid to do so.

“Ya’ll being bought.  They offered me $10K for an interview with Kamala Harris. I don’t want your money, but we can definitely do the interview,” he declared in an Instagram video.  “I’m not no Rickey Smiley and Steve Harvey.  You don’t drop no check off and say, ‘get the negroes to the plantation on November the 4th.”
Well, Harvey took to his morning show to call out Umar.  Though he expressed his love for the activist and some of his views, Harvey said he would continue to support Harris’ campaign.

“Let me clear the air on something.  You can’t hire Steve Harvey for $10,000 to do nothing,” he stated, later adding, “Don’t insult the brand equity that I’ve built over these thirty years in television.  And I’m doing this absolutely free of charge because I want this country to be in her hands as opposed to Donald Trump’s hands.  Me and Rickey Smiley happen to be on the same page.”
Recently, there have been rumors that both parties are paying for big-time celebrity endorsements.  Many believe that Trump’s campaign has paid Amber Rose to vocalize her support, while others have taken note of Harris paying for the rights to Beyonce’s “Freedom” in her campaign
