#MAGFAB: ‘Rustin’ Star Coleman Domingo Strikes A Pose For OUT Magazine
Fresh off his Oscar nomination for "Rustin," Out Magazine has an exclusive interview with boundary-breaking actor Colman Domingo.
As only the second openly gay man to be nominated for an Academy Award for portraying a gay man, Domingo is receiving well-deserved accolades that are decades in the making.
While the journeyman actor sees himself as a regular guy in Carhartt coveralls making trips to Home Depot, Out contributor Tre'vell Anderson points out in the interview that there's nothing regular about him.
Anderson writes, "Even beyond the designer fashions he dons, a certain je ne sais quoi oozes from his pores; it's the stuff trailblazers and household names are made of. Behold, I think, the blossoming of, perhaps, one of our first Black openly gay movie stars. Finally."
In his more than 30 years in the entertainment industry, Domingo has been in a wide range of roles. His most recent polar opposite characters in "Rustin" and "The Color Purple" have been garnering attention this award season.
"And it wasn't even designed that way," he said in the interview. "Though it is something I've just been trying to do my entire career, which is I need you to see me the way I see myself. I need you to see me without limitation. I want you to see me as an artist, as a thinker, as a creator."
When it comes to representation and his impact in Hollywood, the interview features a revelation from Domingo: many people still don't know he's gay.
"There was never a big coming-out story and a heroic rise to finally being on the cover of Out magazine because of that," Domingo said in the interview. "No shade, but for me, it's like the people who've been in the trenches doing the work and being exactly who they are and authentic, I think we need to amplify them as well."

#RHOA: Phaedra Parks Undergoes Skin-Tightening Procedure: ‘Self-Care Is a Huge Priority’
“Everybody knows I have to look great while I’m working hard! I was so excited to hear that the Beverly Hills Rejuvenation center came to Sundance this year,” the Real Housewives of Atlanta alum, 50, exclusively told Life & Style. “It was meant to be because I love their new CellSound machine. I want to stay slim and keep my skin taut and they help me to make that happen.”
CellSound is a non-invasive treatment that “stimulates cells to behave more youthfully without damaging tissue,” according to CellSoundAesthetics.com.
“It is a relaxing painless process and I’m all for pain free non-invasive beauty. I've done my legs and now my stomach,” Phaedra explained to Life & Style. “You have to do it about 6 times on each area so luckily I travel a lot because while The Beverly Hills Rejuvenation Center does not have a location in Atlanta they have 27 locations across they country so I am going to complete this process.”
The lawyer had a “Housewives happy hour” while she got her cosmetic touch-up at the Utah-based festival after she ran into The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’s Meredith Marks.
“We had some good laughs and turned it into a bit of a business meeting,” Phaedra explained, adding, “We’ve decided we aren't just going to beautify together we’re also going to do some business together.”
Phaedra also dished on her experience being a well-played villain on The Traitors and she even revealed that she had the best “filming experience.”
“I met some really wild people and made some lifelong friends,” she told Life & Style. “This season debuted as the most watched premiere in the history of Peacock.”
Phaedra has dodged death so far during The Traitors season 2, which is still airing, and she is joined in the Ardross Castle by fellow Housewives Tamra Judge, ShereĂ© Whitfield and Larsa Pippen. During a January appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Phaedra ranked her Bravo girls by their skillset on the show. She wanted the Real Housewives of Miami star, 49, to join her on the dark side, but the TV personality didn’t think so highly of Tamra, 56, whom she thought would be the “worst player” of the Bravo bunch.

50 Cent has broken his silence on his weight loss. After showing off his slimmed-down look and garnering mixed responses to it, the actor portraying Kanan Stark on "Power" revealed that he has lost 40 pounds.
On Wednesday, January 24, the 48-year-old hip-hop artist made use of his Instagram account to upload a new video, wherein he talked about his thinner appearance. In the same footage, 50 Cent, who is also known as Fif, responded to speculations suggesting that he has been consuming Ozempic, a type II Diabetes drug that has been used by some celebrities to lose weight. He stated, "You wanna talk about weight loss? I was in the gym, I was working the f**k out, man. And they say it's Ozempic? I was running, I was running, I was doing what I had to do. You seen me on tour."

He quickly generated mixed responses from many Instagram users. While some of them were worried if he was sick, others accused him of using Ozempic to lose weight.

“Saltburn” and “Priscilla” star Jacob Elordi also made his hosting debut this month alongside musical guest and “Mean Girls” star ReneĂ© Rapp in the first new episode of “SNL” this year.
Next up to host is Dakota Johnson on Jan. 27, who will host the NBC late night show for the second time before her new movie “Madame Web” comes out in theaters on Feb. 14. Justin Timberlake will perform alongside Johnson in his fifth solo musical guest appearance on “SNL” after most serving as a musical guest decade ago on Dec. 21, 2013.

Netflix Cancels 'The Mothership' Starring Halle Berry
Netflix has scrapped Halle Berry’s film, The Mothership. Principal photography had been completed in 2021, according to Variety and the InSider. Unfortunately mothering stalled out in post, and Netflix has decided to take the boots the house tax write-down.
The Mothership was announced in March of 2021, with filming beginning that summer. It would have starred Berry as — you guessed it — a mother. After the disappearance of her husband, Berry’s now-single mother and children discover an alien mothership under their rural farm. Written by Bridge of Spies’ Matthew Charman, the film would have also starred Molly Parker and Omari Hardwick. The Mothership joins Batgirl and Coyote vs. Acme in that giant warehouse at the end of Raiders of the Lost Arc, where all memory-holed media goes to be forgotten. Berry is still finishing out an overall deal she secured with Netflix after the release of her directorial debut, Bruised.

Wearing a black skirt with sky-high heels and a warm, belted jacket, Rihanna looked incredibly dignified. She finished off her look with dazzling jeweled earrings and a ring and carried a black clutch. The hitmaker’s newly blonde hair was perfectly styled.
A$AP looked equally stylish in a sweater with a jewel-encrusted neckline.
Madonna's Team Responds to Lawsuit Over Late Start at Concert
Madonna‘s team are hitting back at a new lawsuit filed against her amid her Celebration Tour.
The 65-year-old Queen of Pop was sued by two New York City concert-goers after starting one of her December shows more than two hours later than the advertised time.
Her team revealed why the show in question started late and explained how they felt about the allegations made in the lawsuit.
“Madonna‘s just completed, sold out 2023 Celebration Tour in Europe received rave reviews,” Madonna Management and Live Nation told ET in a joint statement. “The shows opened in North America at Barclays in Brooklyn as planned, with the exception of a technical issue December 13th during soundcheck.”
They continued, adding, “This caused a delay that was well documented in press reports at the time. We intend to defend this case vigorously.”
The legend herself has not directly responded to the lawsuit. However, she has previously seemingly alluded to starting some of her shows behind schedule by saying, “A queen is never late.”
Kim Burrell Called ‘Arrogant’ for Firing Off on Churchgoer Disrupting Her Solo So That God Could Use Her…BUT WAIT WATCH THE ENTIRE VIDEO.
Kim Burrell has a response to those who claimed she was “entitled” and “arrogant” for shutting down a woman’s attempt to join her in a moment of worship.
A clip that began circulating on X showed the gospel singer in the middle of a sermon at church with her flock standing, their hands lifted, as she sang, “Thank you.” It starts out innocently enough, but within seconds, she is heard saying, “It’s a solo. God’s using me. Don’t sing with me right now.”
Whoever she was speaking to seemingly failed to get the message as Burrell’s attempt to continue her praise was interrupted to say, “I’m singing along now. Ma’am, ma’am, with that mask … Let that mask work for you. I’m singing alone. … I’ll call you when I’m ready.”
Along with being deemed a “menace” for calling out the churchgoer, Burrell faced a hefty serving of unpraiseworthy reactions to the clip.
“I don’t like her, but at the same time, you not bout to sing over me either. she so nasty. But a lot of our church heroes are like that they just don’t get caught in 4k like she do all the time,” tweeted a critic.
“At this point why are people still letting her sing or speak in the church? She spews too much hate out,” posted a second user on X. And a third wrote, “Yolanda Adams would never.” The Houston-based artist attempted to set the narrative straight with a video response to the backlash.
She explained, “I’m thinking that I’m in a solo, and you always got that one, that one that has to join ‘ya. And I heard her, y’all, and she was singing, and I was just going for it … ’cause I’m operating and things of the spirit — sometimes when I operate publicly, everybody doesn’t understand the dispensation of what I operate in.”

Instead, the songwriter said people only view her as a singer and not a spiritual vessel of multiple disciplines. “I’m the preacher. I’m the person with the gift of prophetic … but anyway … I keep hearing her.” Burrell then claimed that a parishioner, seated in front of the woman who was “disconnected” from the sermon, attempted to convey that the interrupter had a message to share.
She concluded with, “If you go further into the video … I pulled her up, and then she went dancing. What a time we had.” The gospel figure is no stranger to scandals. In 2023, she was slammed after revealing Jay-Z personally called her to share that her music lifted BeyoncĂ©’s spirits after she allegedly locked herself away in a room for 11 hours with only Burell’s music playing.
The year prior, the pastor was widely scrutinized for calling out “broke” and “ugly” people during a speech at Kingdom City Church. In years past, she has also faced backlash for her disparaging remarks about the LGBTQ+ community.
Tina Knowles Admits She’s ‘Guilty’ of Liking Scathing Post Pitting Janet Jackson Against BeyoncĂ©, But She Has A Reason Why
Tina Knowles is tightening up her social media practices after liking a divisive post that made her a trending topic.
The WACO Theater Center co-founder was at the center of a messy situation when it appeared that she supported a friend in seemingly pitting Beyoncé and Janet Jackson against each other
Instagram user Letty Chavez slammed the 57-year-old veteran entertainer over ticket prices for her upcoming “Together Again” tour featuring special guest Nelly.
“What a joke….they add $1000 for a 15 second meet & greet again. No front row for fans unless you want to bend over so they can continued to rake in the cash. You want BeyoncĂ© prices, have real production. Just disgusted. I’m not the only one…oh the DMs I’m getting. Way to thank your fans for years of support,” she wrote.
Knowles said she received a phone call as her name blew up on social media. Instead of letting the situation fester, she hopped on camera and addressed it head-on. She began by stating that she understands the cost of great concert productions.
She expressed that “It’s expensive, and I would never criticize another artist, let alone Janet Jackson, who is the queen of production. And her family, I mean, they’re the first family of music, always has been, and always will be.”
Second, the 70-year-old declared that she does not indulge in negativity but she did leave a like on the post.
“I am not involved in the mess. What I am guilty of is liking posts, going through when I’m in a big hurry and I don’t have time to really read, and liking things because I trust that these are people that I follow. That was a big mistake. I will never do that again,” she declared.
The Knowles family matriarch also doubled down on her sentiments of respect for Jackson in her caption, where she wrote, in part, “I am saddened by this. Janet Jackson is an icon and I would never question another artist. I took Destiny’s Child to see Janet when they were 15 years old . They always looked up to her and she opened doors for BeyoncĂ©. Why would I hate on her?”
The entrepreneur added, “I do know that you can see people’s likes, so I would be pretty dumb to do that.”
It remains unclear exactly what she assumed Chavez’s post was actually about. Still, people online had plenty to say about her response to the frenzy.
“She ain’t like it on accident. She got dragged and now she’s back peddling,” wrote one person. Someone else suggest that “Beyonce told her to release that video…quickly.” While a third left room to give the superstar mother the benefit of doubt when they commented, “I think she just liked it because she saw Beyonces name, she didn’t read the whole post.”
Last year, Knowles’ estranged husband, Richard Lawson, embarrassingly found out that the public could see his likes that revealed he was into NSFW content on X. Lawson deactivated his profile but remains active on Instagram. Days prior to the discovery, she filed for divorce after eight years of marriage.

Doc Rivers Officially Named Head Coach of the Milwaukee Bucks
After rumors circulated yesterday that the Milwaukee Bucks were interested in hiring Adrian Griffin’s advisor this season, Doc Rivers has officially agreed to become the fifth coach during Giannis’ tenure. The former Sixers head coach was briefly hired by ESPN for their NBA coverage, but he has now joined the Milwaukee Bucks. Interestingly, CNN was the first news outlet to confirm this signing.
According to Chris Haynes, Doc Rivers and Bucks General Manager Jon Horst will collaboratively work together on shaping the coaching staff for the rest of the season.
Sports Illustrated reports that Rivers is expected to sign a lucrative deal, although the details of the contract are unknown. The former head coach, Griffin, had lost the locker room, but the publication suggests that Doc will have a different outcome. It remains to be seen if the Bucks will be led to success by Rivers, but time will tell. Throughout his career, Rivers has coached the Magic, Celtics, Clippers, and 76ers, accumulating a record of 1,097-763.
