#RHOA: Eva Marcille’s Ex-Husband Michael Has DUI and Reckless Driving Charges Dismissed
#RHOA: Eva Marcille’s Ex-Husband Michael Has DUI and Reckless Driving Charges Dismissed
Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Eva Marcille managed to lose about 175 odd pounds of dead weight. In March 2023, she filed to divorce her husband, Michael Sterling. RHOA fans will remember Eva marrying Michael in a lavish wedding she may or may not have been able to afford in Season 11.
It looks like Mike might have been quite a handful. Back in 2022, he was cited for a DUI and reckless driving after a car accident. While Michael might have tried to fight his divorce and lost, he fought the DUI and managed to score a victory. Radar has the details.
Last April Michael was arraigned in court after a motor vehicle wreck that turned into a civil lawsuit. Eva did arrive at the scene of the accident before her husband was taken into custody. Also, this was only a few weeks after the couple decided to end their marriage.
Mike was driving a Ford Mustang GT which allegedly plowed into a 2014 Camry. He plead not guilty in Fulton County State Court on the misdemeanor charges of DUI, following too closely, and reckless driving.
The police report implied Michael smelled like alcohol which he immediately denied. He is still battling it out with the other victims in the crash, they claim to have injuries and emotional distress from the ordeal. They spent over $2k on medical bills and it appears they want to be compensated.
Per Michael’s lawyer, a statement was released after his recent win in court. “After all of the evidence was thoroughly examined, the State dismissed the Driving Under the Influence and Reckless Driving Charges in their entirety. I accepted a traffic violation of following too closely.”
Eva’s ex is “grateful” these charges are no longer following him. He said, “I believe the medical records exonerated me and demonstrated this was a wrongful arrest from the beginning. I was not under the influence of any drugs or alcohol.”
Additionally, the attorney is thankful “my reputation [was] restored following this embarrassing and misguided arrest.”

Offset announced his inaugural solo headlining trek, “SET IT OFF TOUR.” It’s scheduled to begin in March, with pre-sale tickets available on Wednesday (Jan. 24) at 10 a.m. local time.
General public ticket sales will open up on Friday (Jan. 26) through Live Nation’s website. The “SET IT OFF TOUR” will commence in Philadelphia. It’ll also include stops in major cities like New York City, Boston, Toronto, Detroit, Chicago, Denver, Phoenix, Los Angeles, Dallas, and Houston before concluding in Offset’s hometown of Atlanta. The lineup for possible opening acts has yet to be revealed.
In a press statement, Offset expressed his enthusiasm about the show run. He explained, “SET IT OFF is more than a phrase. It’s a vibe we’re creating together. This tour is not just a series of concerts. It’s a journey into my mind. I’m ready to hit the road on my first solo headlining tour, bringing the heat and, most importantly, giving the fans a new way to experience my music.”
Accompanying the announcement, the “SKYAMI” rapper tapped Queen Latifah for the promo clip.
Offset’s sophomore solo album, also titled SET IT OFF, debuted in October 2023. It entered the Billboard 200 at No. 5, earning 70,000 album-equivalent units in its first week. Additionally, the body of work boasted collaborations with artists such as Travis Scott, Cardi B, Don Toliver, Mango Foo, Future, Latto, and Chlöe.
Cardi praised the project via Twitter. She wrote, “So proud of my baby!! Going against all odds… Leaving his label, starting fresh, staying focused, determined, and not letting nothing break him… He did that!”
Offset confirmed that he’s already working on his next LP. In November 2023, he told TMZ he’d drop another full-length release sometime in February. He told the outlet, “[That’s an] exclusive, I only told y’all that.”
Britney Spears Remains Brazen As Rep Denies She's Banned From Four Seasons Due To Her Antics
Britney Spears can't be tamed. The singer, who has been more expressive on social media since her conservatorship was terminated in 2021, has shown her brazen attitude amid report that she's banned from a luxury hotel.
On Tuesday, January 23, the pop star took to her Instagram page to post another dance video. Rocking a mini gold dress with fur trim at the bottom, she wrote in the caption, "Awkward silence ... I love making people feel uncomfortable ... here's to gold."
While Britney is no stranger to posting dance videos with cryptic notes, the message comes around the same time her representative denied the report that the Four Seasons in Westlake Village issued the pop star a temporary ban due to her recent antics. The rep has told Daily Mail that the report is not true.
The Sun was the first to report that Britney has been banned from Four Seasons in Los Angeles after guests allegedly complained about her "bizarre behavior" and antics for the past year. The "Toxic" songstress, who was a regular guest at the five-star family-friendly hotel, previously shared photos on Instagram of her naked while covering her breasts as she relaxed in a hotel suite during one stay.
"Britney has been going to the Four Seasons in Westlake Village for years, but she's been causing a headache for staff recently," a so-called insider told the outlet. "In the past year, she's been banned from the hotel, unbanned, and is now banned again."
"Some guests have complained about her going topless by the pool and making them feel uncomfortable, and her behavior is often bizarre and annoying," the source added. "Staff have talked about it throughout the whole hotel and it's really unfortunate, but she’s not allowed on there at the moment, certainly not the spa."
Of the hotel's alleged decision to ban the 42-year-old star, the source explained, "Britney might be an A-list celebrity but she can’t run around doing whatever she wants at the Four Seasons. It sees a lot of high profile guests and rich guests checking in who spend thousands there, whether it be for a business trip or leisure and they don't want to be made to feel awkward."
Ryan Gosling, America Ferrera Defend Margot Robbie And Greta Gerwig After Oscars Snubs For 'Barbie'
Ryan Gosling and America Ferrera have spoken up after their "Barbie" co-star Margot Robbie and director Greta Gerwig were snubbed from the nominations for the 96th Academy Awards. While the movie received a total of eight nominations, including Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor for Gosling and Best Supporting Actress for Ferrera, Robbie and Gerwig missed the cut in their respective categories that were Best Actress and Best Director.
Reacting to the nominations, the Ken depicter first celebrated his nod as he said in a statement, "I am extremely honored to be nominated by my colleagues alongside such remarkable artists in a year of so many great films. And I never thought I'd being saying this, but I'm also incredible honored and proud that it's for portraying a plastic doll named Ken."
Defending Robbie and Gerwig, he then added, "But there is no Ken without Barbie, and there is no 'Barbie' movie without Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie, the two people most responsible for this history-making, globally-celebrated film."
Ferrera also voiced her feelings over the snubs. "I was incredibly disappointed that they weren't nominated," she told Variety on Tuesday, January 23. "Greta has done just about everything that a director could do to deserve it. Creating this world, and taking something that didn’t have inherent value to most people and making it a global phenomenon. It feels disappointing to not see her on that list."
The "Ugly Betty" alum then sang praise for Robbie, saying that "what [she] achieved as an actress is truly unbelievable" in "Barbie". She raved, "One of the things about Margot as an actress is how easy she makes everything look. And perhaps people got fooled into thinking that the work seems easy."
"But Margot is a magician as an actress in front of the screen, and it was one of the honors of my career to get to witness her pull off the amazing performance she did," the 39-year-old continued, "She brings so much heart and humor and depth and joy and fun to the character. In my book, she's a master."
Ferrera went on reasoning why Robbie and Gerwig deserved Oscars nominations. "Their work in both of those categories was phenomenal and in my book [they] deserve to be acknowledged for the history they made, for the ground they broke, for the beautiful artistry," she told EW. "They're my girls, and I want to see them celebrated for their amazingness, so that part of it is definitely bittersweet."
As for her nomination, Ferrera admitted she feels "waves of emotion and disbelief and overwhelm." She gushed, "It's so surreal and a dream come true for me. I can so viscerally remember being a kid watching the Academy Awards and watching Halle Berry win, watching Julia Roberts win, and just dreaming one day that I would be in that room. It's a lot to process. It's exciting to say the least. I think words kind of fail."
Fans have also slammed the Academy for failing to nominate Robbie and Grewig at the 2024 Oscars. One person voiced their shock on X, formerly Twitter, "can't stop thinking about the greta gerwig and margot robbie (someone i didn't even particularly want to be nominated!) snubs. to nominate ryan and america and NOT the lead? NOT the director? just a baffling decision all around."
A second user reacted, "The Barbie Oscar snubs for best actress for Margot Robbie and best director for Greta Gerwig, while Ryan Gosling gets nominated for best supporting actor, are a different level of egregious and tone deaf." A third person admitted they's "SHOCKED & disappointed" by the snubs, while another called the Academy's decision "so messed up."
While Gerwig didn't make the cut in the director category, she received a nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay for "Barbie", which she shares with her husband Noah Baumbach. The movie also received two nominations for Best Original Song (for "I'm Just Ken" and "What Was I Made For"), and a nomination each for Best Costume Design and Best Production Design.

So apparently, actors Niecy Nash, Sterling K. Brown, and Danielle Brooks are all related, according to Nash, who congratulated her kinfolk on their 2024 Oscar nominations Tuesday (Jan. 23).
“Both of my COUSINS are OSCAR NOMINATED ‼️‼️” the Emmy Award winner shared on Instagram. “Yes! We are blood related! REAL cousins! I’m so proud of my fam!”
“So the talent runs in the family, got it,” wrote Kerry Washington within Nash’s comment section, with another supporter offering, “That family cookout better be lit!”
Nash’s caption accompanied a snap of the three talents hugged up at an industry affair. Check out the post below.
Former This Is Us star Brown, 47, is nominated in the Best Supporting Actor category for America Fiction, alongside Robert De Niro for Killers of the Flower Moon, Robert Downey Jr. for Oppenheimer, Ryan Gosling for Barbie and Mark Ruffalo for Poor Things. Brooks, 34, has been nominated for Best Supporting Actress for The Color Purple and will be facing off against America Ferrera for Barbie,
Nash, 53, took home a prize of her own during the 2024 Emmys, where she walked away the winner in the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series category for her role in Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.
“I’m a winner, baby!” the acclaimed entertainer shared during her acceptance speech before thanking the show’s cast and crew, and finally, herself.
“And you know who I want to thank? I want to thank me — for believing in me and doing what they said I could not do. And I want to say to myself in front of all these beautiful people, ‘Go on girl with your bad self. You did that.’”
Philadelphia 76’ers Joel Embiid Scores 70 Points, Breaks Wilt Chamberlain’s 76ers Record
Monday night (Jan. 22), Joel and the 76ers squared off against the Victor Wembanyama-led San Antonio Spurs. On the 18th anniversary of Kobe Bryant‘s 81-point game, Embiid would etch his name in the NBA history books, too.
The Cameroonian athlete dropped 24 points in the first quarter. At the end of the first half, Embiid was nearly unstoppable as he scored 59 points. The 76ers star finished the game with 70 points, 5 assists, and 18 rebounds. According to ESPN, Embiid’s full stat line has never happened in NBA history. Additionally, the star player’s 70-piece breaks Chamberlain’s record of 68 points with the storied basketball franchise. The Sixers wound up beating the Spurs 133-123. The 2023 league MVP spoke about the historical night during a post-game interview.
“Obviously, Wilt accomplished everything [in] the history of this league, and basketball in general,” Embiid said. “So to be in the same conversation, that’s pretty cool. It was just a great night… I had it going. I mentioned a few times, a lot of teammates are extremely unselfish and they just kept giving me the ball, and I just finished it.”
“The only thing I told my teammates was please just don’t force it,” Embiid added. “Let’s just play basketball. If I’m open, pass it, if I’m not, make sure you make the right play.”
Sixers head coach Nick Nurse also spoke to Embiid’s greatness. He recalled the moment in the game when he noticed the NBA star was popping off. “The time that it kind of hit me, I thought, was the start of the third,” Nurse told reporters. “I think he had a bucket and an and-1, like in the first minute. I was like, ‘Wait a minute, he’s already got like 37, 38, something like that.’ I was like, ‘Geez, that’s a lot, with a whole half to go.'”
But Joel Embiid’s teammate Tyrese Maxey contextualized the special night. He cautioned fans not to
take Jo for granted” and to savor his on-court performance. After bigging up Embiid’s game, Maxey reiterated that his skill set and game should be appreciated now rather than later.
“He’s great. I keep telling everybody we cannot take this for granted. Not just as teammates, not as an organization, but as fans—even if you’re not a fan of Philadelphia—if you’re just a fan of basketball, you can’t take Jo for granted, man. What he’s doing right now is special,” Tyrese said.
“He’s not just doing it off layups, he’s not doing it off just 3s. He’s doing it off every single thing. He’s making free throws. He’s doing so much out there… He’s not taking any nights off on defense. We appreciate him, and everybody else should appreciate him, as well.”
LiI Nas X Celebrates “J Christ” Debuting at a DISMAL No. 69 On Billboard Hot 100
Lil Nas X celebrates the success of his latest single “J. Christ” after a controversial roll-out. Released earlier this month, the upbeat track debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 69 on the chart dated Jan. 27.
On brand with his social media-savvy commentary, the Georgia native took to X to commemorate the chart achievement.
“we did it boys!” wrote the chart-topping artist. “we reached the funny number. be very proud of yourselves. this is our moment!”
Ahead of the release of “J Christ,” Lil Nas X faced backlash for the imagery depicted in the cover art. In the image, the “Old Town Road” performer is tied to a cross. The Christian symbolism continued in the official music video where the 24-year-old displays text from the Bible.
“I know I messed up really bad this time. I can act unbothered all I want, but it’s definitely taken a mental toll on me,” explained Lil Nas X of the negative reactions. “I’m not some evil demon guy trying to destroy everybody’s values and stuff like that. That’s not me.”
He continued, “When I did the artwork, I knew there would be some upset people simply because religion is a very sensitive topic for a lot of people. But I also didn’t mean to mock — this wasn’t a f**k you to the Christians. It was literally me saying I’m back like Jesus.”
Cavaliers' Tristan Thompson suspended 25 games for violating NBA's drug policy
Cleveland Cavaliers center Tristan Thompson has been suspended 25 games without pay by the NBA for violating its anti-drug policy

Cleveland's backup center was suspended 25 games without pay by the NBA on Tuesday for violating the league's anti-drug policy, a penalty that will keep him out of the rotation and off the floor for two months.
According to the league, the 32-year-old Thompson tested positive for ibutamoren, a growth hormone, and SARM LGD-4033, commonly used by body builders and weight lifters for muscle enhancement.
Thompson will begin serving his suspension Wednesday when the Cavs, who have won eight straight games, play the first of two in three days at Milwaukee. He'll be eligible to return on March 16 against Houston.
The Cavs have managed to steer around injuries to starters Darius Garland and Evan Mobley and have been playing their best ball since mid-December. Thompson's absence will hurt the team's bench depth.
The team released a statement a few hours after the league's announcement.
“The Cleveland Cavaliers fully support the NBA/NBAPA Anti-Drug Program, and we are disappointed in the recent news surrounding Tristan Thompson," the Cavs said. "His time away from game action will have an impact on our team. We stand behind Tristan and offer our support throughout this suspension period.”
During the suspension, Thompson is allowed to travel and practice. The only restriction is that he must be out of the arena at least two hours prior to tipoff for any games.
Thompson is in his second stint with the Cavs, who originally drafted the Canadian with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2011 draft. The 6-foot-11 Thompson has become a beloved player in Cleveland. He was a member of the 2016 NBA championship team, which won the city's first major pro sports title since 1964.
Thompson spent his first nine seasons as a pro with the Cavs before bouncing around. He's also played with Boston, Sacramento, Indiana, Chicago and the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Cavs re-signed him as a free agent to a one-year contract before this season. He's only averaging 3.8 points and 3.9 rebounds in 12 minutes, but Thompson has also helped Cleveland navigate a spate of injuries.
Cleveland has been without Garland (broken jaw) and forward Mobley (knee surgery) for more than a month. However, the Cavs have gone 13-3 without them, and at 26-15 have moved into the No. 4 spot in the Eastern Conference.
Garland was cleared to resume on-court workouts last week after he had the wiring removed from his jaw, and Mobley has increased his activity of late. Both players are expected back in the lineup at some point next month.
Thompson had four points and five rebounds in Cleveland’s 126-99 win at Orlando on Monday night.

The appointment of Johnson reflects TKO’s commitment to delivering long-term value and strong performance for shareholders through strategic growth initiatives across both UFC and WWE.
Vince McMahon, Executive Chairman of the Board, TKO, said: “Very few people on the planet understand the convergence of sports, entertainment, media, and business like Rock. We are proud to have him join the TKO board to help take our company to new heights.”
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, said: “My grandfather, High Chief Peter Maivia, and my dad, Rocky ‘Soulman’ Johnson, would’ve never thought this day would come. WWE has also entered into a services and merchandising agreement with Johnson that provides for his promotional, licensing, and other services, and an intellectual property assignment agreement pursuant to which Johnson has secured ownership of the trademarked name, “The Rock”. The name is derived from his father, WWE Hall of Famer Rocky Johnson, who was the first Black champion in WWE history (alongside partner Tony Atlas). Johnson’s grandfather, Peter Maivia, a Samoan-American professional wrestler, was posthumously inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2008.
The addition of Johnson, as well as today’s appointment of Brad Keywell to TKO’s Board of Directors, will increase TKO’s board from 11 to 13 members.
It’s the latest big move from Johnson, who’s bouncing back from a relatively rough 2023 with promotion of the newest spring football league, a move to more serious acting projects, and a potential return to WWE television.
Now we’ll see what else The Rock and TKO have cooking.
Colman Domingo celebrates historic Oscars nomination as the first Black LGBTQ Actor to get a Best Actor Nomination.
Colman Domingo has responded to his first Oscar nomination with a heartfelt post on social media.
The nominees for the 96th Academy Awards were announced on Tuesday (23 January), with several snubs and surprises dominating the headlines.
American actor Domingo, 54, earned a Best Actor nomination for his portrayal of Bayard Rustin, a gay civil rights activist, in the Netflix drama Rustin.
Domingo commemorated his nomination with a post on Instagram on Tuesday, just hours after the announcement was made during a livestreamed ceremony hosted by Zazie Beetz and Jack Quaid in Los Angeles.
Alongside photos from the set of the George C Wolfe-directed film, the actor wrote: “Overflowing. Thank you dear Bayard. Thank you @theacademy for this nomination. Trying to find the words.”
He continued: “Today it is pure gratitude. For everything. The journey. The company. The highs. The very lows. The staying with it. Faith. Love. Light. Joy. Rejoice.”
Several of Domingo’s fellow Hollywood colleagues responded with supportive messages, praising his performance in the movie,
His castmate in the recently released musical film The Color Purple, Taraji P Henson, wrote: “YAAAAASSSS!!! Congrats babe. So deserved!!!”
Meanwhile, Emmy-winning Abbott Elementary star Quinta Brunson added: “Congratulations Colman.”
The other performers in contention for Best Actor in a Leading Role this year are Bradley Cooper (Maestro), Paul Giamatti (The Holdovers), Cillian Murphy (Oppenheimer) and Jeffrey Wright (American Fiction).
Domingo’s nomination marks only the second time that an openly gay actor has been recognised at the Academy for the portrayal of a gay character, following Ian McKellen’s performance of real-life director James Whale in the 1999 period drama Gods and Monsters.
When Domingo spoke to The Independent ahead of Rustin’s release in November, he noted that although he and Rustin were both “openly gay”, it didn’t give him a shortcut to figuring out how best to portray the historical figure.
“It’s funny… if people know that we’re both openly gay, they think there must clearly be some part of me in him. But I had to build this character like any other,” he explained.
“The vicious pimp I played in [2020 crime drama] Zola, or the father in [2018 James Baldwin adaptation] If Beale Street Could Talk… I had to build them the exact same way, and then infuse with what I can access in my soul.”

“Puppy Parents!” Gypsy captioned a video, introducing followers to the pup. “Any tips on potty training would be great! 😁”
