#RHOA: Shereé Whitfield slammed for Shein look-alike clothing line
The second coming of Shereé Whitfield’s She by Shereé clothing line has been marred by comparisons to the fast-fashion brand.
Social media users slammed the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star, 52, for selling a $130 gray two-piece athleisure set that looks nearly identical to versions sold by Shein and Amazon at lower price points.

Shereé Whitfield’s She by Shereé athleisure set looks nearly identical to items sold by Shein and Amazon. “Nah you wrong for these Shein joggers and charging NIKE prices,” one person tweeted.
“Ummm when you can buy it from Amazon without the She by Sheree logo for a third of the price, then I have a problem. #RHOA,” added another.

One fan even lambasted Whitfield for providing such a product after taking more than a decade to work on it.

Whitfield's set retails for $130, while Shein and Amazon sell their versions for a fraction of the price. “So after 10+ years of no fashion, you just put your name in a look alike Jeffree Star logo, printed it in a Ali Express/Shein garment and charged it 130$?!” they tweeted.
“Gurl How dreadful! We were rooting for you smh. She by Sheree? More [like] She by Shein Express wtf?! You know what #RHOA.”

Sunday night’s “RHOA” finale saw Whitfield pull off a She by Shereé fashion show — 14 years after a lackluster presentation that her good friend Dwight Eubanks infamously dubbed a “fashion show with no fashions” that was “dreadful.”

Whitfield’s castmates were thrilled to see She by Shereé materialize following a series of setbacks that were documented on Season 14 of the hit Bravo reality show.

After going live with her merchandise on Sunday, the designer claimed that the She by Shereé website crashed due to “overwhelming interest” and an “influx of love.”
Whitfield assured fans that the issue was “being worked on” and urged them to check back in periodically.
“We are working to get this quickly resolved,” she wrote in a statement. “We wish to serve you soon. Thank you for your interest. Thanks to the customers whom we were able to serve so far tonight.”

As of Monday afternoon, the site is still down.
Meanwhile, Whitfield’s boss, “Housewives” honcho Andy Cohen, was able to get his hands on a gray She by Shereé hoodie. “I got mine…..” he captioned a mirror selfie on Twitter. “#ShebySheree @IamSheree.”

Whitfield did not immediately respond to Page Six Style’s request for comment.

#MusicNews: Usher Brings Out Tevin Campbell to Perform ‘Can We Talk’ at Las Vegas Show
Tevin Campbell made a surprise appearance during Usher’s set at his Las Vegas residency on Sunday night (Sept. 4). The Grammy-nominated singer joined Usher on stage to perform his 1993 hit “Can We Talk,” the lead single from his sophomore album, I’m Ready.

Usher, wearing a sparkling “Dirty South” jacket, gave Campbell the floor to perform the lead parts while he sang a few ad-libs.

Considering the history behind “Can We Talk,” it’s good to see the two vocalists on stage singing it together.

In a recent interview on the State of Black Music Podcast, Campbell spoke about how that song in particular caused friction between L.A. Reid and Babyface, who had signed Usher to their LaFace imprint. (Reid wanted “Can We Talk” to be Usher’s song.)

“Well, that’s true,” Campbell confirmed. “That’s actually true, L.A. did want [Usher] to record it but Babyface wanted me to do it and they had a big fight over that.”

In Reid’s book Sing to Me, he also opened up about the “wedge” between him and Babyface at that particular time. “The worst moment came when Kenny came to Atlanta to record Tevin Campbell on a song call ‘Can We Talk,’ a song I f*cking loved, and the first song he wrote and produced without me. It would have been perfect for Usher, but Kenny brought Tevin Campbell to Atlanta and recorded the song at Doppler Studios in the room next door to where I was working with Usher. That was no accident.”

Reid added, “Usher didn’t understand why Kenny was working next door on this song with someone else. He was confused and hurt. I was crushed.”

WATCH

On Aug. 26, Usher resumed his residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM in Las Vegas. At the time of publishing, he has ten more performances lined up through the end of October. Due to overwhelming demand, he recently announced 25 additional shows that will take place in 2023.

Usher: My Way The Vegas Residency 2023 will begin March 3 and will conclude July 15. It will mark his third consecutive year with a residency in Sin City. He launched his first residency in 2021 at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

In other music news, Usher recently teamed with rap duo City Girls on “Good Love,” which debuted at No. 70 on the Billboard Hot 100 during the week of July 16. It marked his second collaboration of the year. Earlier this year, he joined forces with Mary J. Blige on “Need Love,” a track that appears on her new album Good Morning Gorgeous.

As for Campbell, he was presented with the R&B Icon Award at the 2022 Black Music Honors. The Black Music Honors recognizes Black creators for their influence and significant contributions to American music.

#HipHopNews: Charli Baltimore Once Recorded A Whole Mixtape Dissing 50 Cent — But Irv Gotti Shut It Down
Charli Baltimore has revealed she once recorded a mixtape full of diss records going at 50 Cent, and that she wanted to put out during the height of the Queens rapper’s infamous beef with Ja Rule and Murder Inc.

Making the revelation in a recent episode of the BET docu-series The Murder Inc. Story, Charli recalled the long-running feud between 50’s G-Unit crew and her then label, and how she wanted to retaliate on wax.

“Irv [Gotti] wanted us to just ignore the situation ’cause he felt like we were untouchable,” Charli explains in a clip from the third episode of The Murder Inc. Story. “I recorded a whole mixtape going at 50 that Irv kinda shut down.”

The clip then cuts to Irv explaining the reason he didn’t want his artists firing off diss records at 50 was because he didn’t want Murder Inc. feeding into “the new artists shitting on us to give [50 Cent] more energy.”

However, Charli Baltimore disagreed with Irv’s tactics. “I didn’t feel like that’s how we should handle it because at that point 50 was blowing up in the street,” she says. “That was our social media back then.

Elsewhere during the episode, Murder Inc. co-founder Irv Gotti claimed that before 50 Cent signed with Shady/aftermath, he blocked the Queens rapper from signing with Sony and Atlantic Records, which he now regrets because it wound up coming back to bite him.

“I should have let 50 Cent sign with Sony or Atlantic, I’m cool with Tommy Mottola,” he said. But instead I was like, ‘If you sign with him you ain’t [expletive] with me. I tell you that for sure.’
“So I blocked the [expletive], to the point he fell in Eminem’s lap. I can’t call Eminem and block it. Eminem is with Dr. Dre. I can’t call Dr. Dre and block it.”

When the Ja Rule and 50 Cent feud was at its height in the early 2000s, Murder Inc.’s meteoric run began to take a steep decline until they were run out of the Def Jam offices in 2004 and came under federal investigation.
50 continued to fire at Ja and Murder Inc. in the midst of his ascension as a Hip Hop megastar with tracks such as “Back Down” off his acclaimed 2003 debut album Get Rich or Die Tryin.’

Charli Baltimore had some moderate success with her songs “Money” and “Stand Up” in the late ’90s before signing to Irv Gotti’s Murder Inc. label in 2002.

She featured on Ja Rule’s “Down Ass Bitch,” Ashanti’s “Rain On Me” remix and more. She then earned a Grammy nomination in 2003 for her single “Diary” before parting ways with Irv in 2004.

In another episode of The Murder Inc. Story, Charli, who for a time dated The Notorious B.I.G., said she once wrote a rap about the time she caught the legendary rapper cheating on her

LeBron James, Drake sued for $10M over rights to ‘Black Ice’ hockey film
Hoops star LeBron James and rappers Drake and Future are accused in a new $10 million lawsuit of stealing the “intellectual property rights” to a film — “Black Ice” — about the old, segregated hockey league for black players in Canada, The Post has learned.
Billy Hunter, former longtime head of the NBA Players Association and ex-federal prosecutor, is seeking a share of profits from the documentary as well as $10 million in damages, in an explosive complaint filed in Manhattan state Supreme Court that alleges he holds the exclusive legal rights to produce any film about the Colored Hockey League that existed from 1895 to the 1930s.

“While the defendants LeBron James, Drake and Maverick Carter [LeBron’s business partner] are internationally known and renowned in their respective fields of basketball and music, it does not afford them the right to steal another’s intellectual property,” says the suit filed by Hunter’s attorney, Larry Hutcher.

In the lawsuit, Hunter accuses defendants who include four-time NBA champion and MVP James and “Nice for What” singer and Canadian Drake and their entertainment companies of cutting a deal behind his back with the authors of the critically acclaimed book that the documentary is based on — “Black Ice: The Lost History of the Colored Hockey League of the Maritimes, 1895 to 1925.”
The authors, George and Darril Fosty, are also listed as defendants, citing breach of contract for allegedly violating the agreement giving Hunter the rights to produce a movie on the black hockey league and instead working out a side deal with Team LeBron and Drake.

The suit says Hunter paid the authors a total of $265,000 for the movie rights to the story.
The documentary, directed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Hubert Davis, is being showcased at the Toronto International Film Festival on Sept. 10.

“I don’t think they believed the property rights would be litigated. They thought I would go away. They gambled,” Hunter, 79, who also briefly played professional football in the 1960s, told The Post.

In a possible play on words, Hunter’s lawyer, Hutcher, said it’s “highly ironic” that James and Drake, who “cherish their brands,” would be “so cavalier” as to violate someone else’s movie rights. James started his career with his hometown Cleveland Cavaliers.

A longtime civil rights activist, Hunter, who is black, said he was fascinated with the story of the black-only professional hockey league, reminiscent of the segregated negro professional baseball league in the United States and the civil rights push to break the color barrier. Hockey is the national sport of Canada.

“I just said, ‘Wow. That has to be a movie,'” he said.

The lawsuit also lists James’ entertainment companies — The Springhill Company and Uninterrupted Canada — as defendants along with Dreamcrew Entertainment, the entertainment firm of Drake, whose birth name is Aubrey Graham, and Future (legal name Adel Nur), and the Fostys’ publishing firm, Stryker Indigo and First Take Entertainment, a film production company.
The complaint alleges that when Hunter confronted the authors after hearing of the separate “Black Ice” film deal with James and Drake, the Fostys “speciously claimed” that the “competing venture” did not violate his “exclusive worldwide license” or film rights because the “documentary” was different and did not violate the agreement.

“A documentary is still a ‘motion picture’ and an ‘audiovisual adaptation’ and
any claim to the contrary is absurd and made in bad faith,” Hutcher said in the Hunter suit.

Hunter and the Fostys entered into an “option agreement” for a movie adaptation
of the “Black Ice” story on March 25, 2019. He put down $10,000.
About 18 months later in October 2020, Hunter received a phone call from
George Fosty, who told him the authors had been approached by other
producers who wanted to do a documentary based on the “Black Ice” book — Vinamy Virmani and Scott Moore of First Entertainment.

The First Entertainment reps said in a Zoom call they were working with James and his Springhill company to obtain the rights to produce a “Black Ice” documentary and had received partial financing from the Canadian Film Fund for the project.

But Hunter “unequivocally stated that this was a passion project of his, and he had no interest in selling his exclusive option or any portion of his rights” to anyone else, according to the suit.
Hunter, through his lawyer, then sent a breach-of-contract letter to the defendants on November 1, 2021, after seeing a story in the Canadian press that Drake would be executive producer of the “Black Ice” documentary.
He also paid the Fostys $250,000 in February 2022 to retain “exclusive worldwide rights” to any “audiovisual” adaptation of the “Black Ice” story.

LeBron James’ company SpringHill valued at $725M in new deal
The Hunter suit accuses the Fostys and their publishing firm of breach of contract and the James and Drake teams of “tortious interference.”

The suit says the “Uninterrupted Defendants” — Team LeBron — offered the Fostys $100,000 to acquire the “already optioned” rights to produce a documentary about the “Black Ice” story and agreed to pay the authors 3% of the total movie budget.

“The Uninterrupted defendants paid those sums to induce the Authors to breach
their Agreement with Plaintiff,” the Hunter suit alleges.

The court papers said the James team then sought the backing of additional investors, specifically, Dreamcrew Entertainment, which is a co-venture between Drake and Future.

“The Dreamcrew Defendants’ and Uninterrupted Defendants’ acts were and are
intentional and carried out for the purpose of disrupting Plaintiff’s legal rights. Each of the Dreamcrew Defendants and Uninterrupted Defendants acted with malice as demonstrated by the inflated price they paid for the duplicate option,” the Hunter suit claims.
Reps for James, Drake and the Fostys and their firms had no immediate comment.

Hunter, who resides in Harlem, had a falling out with the NBA players union. He was ousted in 2013 after serving as a director of the union since 1996, and the two sides reached a confidential settlement after he countersued over being replaced.

Black Lives Matter executive accused of ‘syphoning’ $10M from BLM donors, suit says
An executive at Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation (GNF), is accused of “syphoning” more than $10 million from donors, the grassroots arm of the BLM organization said a court filing this week.

The suit is against executive Shalomyah Bowers, the foundation itself, Bowers’ consulting firm and unnamed individuals.

Bowers was hired by BLM co-founder Patrisse Cullors in 2020 to help run the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation (GNF), an extension of the Black Lives Matter grassroots organization, the suit said.

Bowers denied the claims leveled in the suit, which BLM Grassroots presented in a news conference last week, saying in a statement posted on the BLM website that the accusations are “harmful, divisive, and false.”

The Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation raised over $90 million in 2020.

GNF was originally created by Cullors “as an administrative organization to raise funds to provide financial support for local-level community efforts of BLM Grassroots,” the suit said, while the BLM Grassroots organization did the “on-the-ground” work.

Cullors initially oversaw the GNF, but in May 2021 “decided she could no longer lead GNF and that it should wind down and transition the entire organization to BLM Grassroots,” the suit said.

In that same month, Cullors notified Bowers and Melina Abdullah of a “formal transition plan” of GNF’s leadership, along with other internal leaders. Abdullah is a co-founder of the Los Angeles chapter of BLM.

Bowers took umbrage with this recollection of events in the statement posted on BLM’s site. “BLMGR and Melina Abdullah read a press statement claiming that Patrisse Cullors created a transition plan giving all of BLMGNF’s assets to BLM Grassroots. That is absolutely false,” Bowers said.

“Mr. Bowers and the GNF Leadership Council agreed to execute the transition plan set forth by Ms. Cullors,” the suit said. “However, Mr. Bowers, who made $2,167,894 million dollars from GNF in less than eight months, decided he wanted to keep the ‘piggy bank’ that GNF had become to him and his company.”

Bowers was also supposed to disclose certain financial and organizing information other leaders within the group, but “refused” to so, the suit alleges.

“Within months, Bowers had run these well-respected advocates out of the organization,” the suit alleges. “Through a series of misrepresentations and unauthorized backroom dealings, Mr. Bowers managed to steal control over GNF as the sole Board member and officer.”

Black Lives Matter co-founder stepping down from organization
The suit also said Bowers changed social media account passwords for the grassroots organization and tried to “to register the trademark of BLM Grassroots using the logo and design of BLM Grassroots leader Angela Waters, in what appears to be an attempt to ‘steal’ the logo or prevent BLM Grassroots from utilizing.”

The BLM grassroots organization said in the suit that Bowers has siphoned money.

“Mr. Bowers continues to fraudulently raise money from unsuspecting donors passing himself off as the organization that is doing the work of BLM, padding his own pockets at that of his associates at the cost of BLM’s reputation,” the suit said.

The grassroots organization arm of the organization is asking for a jury trial and accuses Bowers of unfair businesses practices, fraud and intentional misrepresentation, among other claims.
CNN reached out to Bowers through his consulting firm Sunday but did not receive a response.

GNF has since responded to the claims, in a statement saying:

“The BLMGNF Board requested – on over ten occasions – private mediation or meetings with Melina Abdullah and BLM Grassroots, including and regarding social media policies. We did so in order to stay true to principles of abolition – resolving issues through conflict mediation rather than falling victim to the carceral logic and social violence that fuels the legal system.

“But Melina Abdullah and BLMGR ignored or refused our offers. To the contrary, they would rather take the same steps of our white oppressors and utilize the criminal legal system which is propped up by white supremacy (the same system they say they want to dismantle) to solve movement disputes.

“In particular, Melina Abdullah and BLMGR’s storytelling concerning the current BLMGNF Board is harmful, divisive, and false. It only gives fodder to right-wing media’s clear agenda of sowing distrust and division among Black folks, and it is in deep contrast to abolitionist values and the fight for Black liberation.

“Therefore, BLMGNF is forced to respond publicly to Melina and BLMGR’s attacks against BLMGNF and its current leadership. So respond we will, with love, facts, and a spirit of transparency which has been our focus over the last six months, as noted by the release of our IRS Form 990 and our BLM Transparency Center.”

Fans Think Harry Styles Spit On Chris Pine At 'Don't Worry Darling' Premiere As Pop Star Avoids His Girlfriend Olivia Wilde
More drama from tonight’s Don’t Worry Darling screening at the Venice Film Festival: Harry Styles may or may not have spit on his costar Chris Pine. Who saw this coming?
Rumors have been swirling for weeks that director Olivia Wilde and her star Florence Pugh have been feuding behind the scenes. The story goes that Pugh was not impressed with how Wilde acted on set with her boyfriend/co-star of the film, Harry.

The tension came to a head after Olivia gave an interview where she said she had fired Shia LaBeouf. She told Variety, “I say this as someone who is such an admirer of his work; his process was not conducive to the ethos that I demand in my productions.”

Olivia added, “He has a process that, in some ways, seems to require a combative energy, and I don’t personally believe that is conducive to the best performances.”

She added, “I believe that creating a safe, trusting environment is the best way to get people to do their best work. Ultimately, my responsibility is to the production and to the cast to protect them. That was my job.”

Hours later, Shia came out denying he was fired from the film and said he dropped out. He told the outlet he, “quit the film due to lack of rehearsal time.”

Emails leaked that showed LaBeouf confronting Wilde after the Variety interview. He wrote her, “You and I both know the reasons for my exit. I quit your film because your actors and I couldn’t find time to rehearse.” A video then leaked that Wilde sent Labeouf where she blamed Pugh for the issues behind the scenes and begged LaBeouf to not quit the film — which contradicted her original story.

In the video, she named Pugh “Ms. Flo.”
On Monday, the cast was present for the red carpet premiere of the film at the Venice Film Festival. Pugh did not stand near Wilde and skipped out on the press conference. Her stylist also posted a photo of the actress captioned, “Ms. Flo” — a clear dig at Wilde’s video.

Wilde praised Pugh during a press conference but the tension was undeniable.

Later, a video surfaced of Styles arriving at the theater and taking his seat next to Pine — who was seated next to Wilde. In the clip, Styles appears to spit on Pine who then appears to be visibly upset.

The former One Direction singer did not give any impression he had spit on Pine and continued waving to others in the crowd.

Neither has commented on the alleged spit. Styles noticeably avoided talking to his girlfriend during the premiere and Pugh was only seen giving the director a brief nod.

Kanye West Says He Had a 'Good Meeting' with Kim Kardashian About Their Kids' Schools
Kanye West says that despite harassing Kim Kardashian via social media this past week, the two had a ‘good meeting’ about Kanye’s desire to send their kids to his own Donda Academy.
“Hi guys I’m baaaaack Sorry to take so long to post Just had a good meeting with Kim about the schools,” West, 45, wrote, after previously posting a text asking Kardashian, 41, to let their four kids start school at his Donda Academy.

The “Heartless” rapper proposed his “idea” that their four kids — North, 9, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 3 — should change their schooling to three days at their current private school and two days at Donda Academy in Simi Valley, Calif.

“This is co-parenting,” West captioned the screenshot of the text message via Instagram.
After taking some time off, the Yeezy designer has been slowly returning to Instagram to discuss his business ventures.
However, things quickly took a turn when he began discussing his family — and his “addiction” to porn.
“Don’t let Kris [Jenner] make you do playboy like she made [Kylie Jenner] and Kim do,” West wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post on Thursday.
“Hollywood is a giant brothel Pornography destroyed my family I deal with the addiction instagram promotes it Not gonna let it happen to Northy and Chicago.”

In another post, West called out the Kardashian’s “c–m doners [sic]“ — aka Travis Scott, Scott Disick and Tristan Thompson – who were romantically involved and had kids with Kim’s sisters Kylie Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian and Khloé Kardashian, respectively.

The “Gold Digger” rapper also posted what appeared to be a text Kim sent from her mom, Kris Jenner, begging him to “stop” his Instagram rants that stress her “to no end.”
West has since deleted most of those Instagram posts but has continued to grill companies like Adidas and Gap.

Coco Gauff makes history at the US Open
(Sept. 4), 18-year-old Coco Gauff made history at the 2022 U.S. Open. The tennis star became the youngest American to advance to the quarterfinals since 2009. The legendary tournament was held at the Arthur Ashe Stadium in Flushing, New York.

Gauff defeated Shuai Zhang to advance as a quarterfinalist for the first time in her professional career. “Coco Gauff (18) becomes the youngest American woman to reach the U.S. Open quarterfinals since 2009,” ESPN tweeted. Gauff described the powerful roaring sound of fans rooting in the stadium. “Here, I can’t hear myself scream. Makes me want to do it more. I think I’m feeding off the momentum a lot. I enjoy it,” she shared.

Her father Corey Gauff was impressed by the cheering as well. “I kept pinching myself. I’m like, ‘My gosh, all of these people here for my daughter.’ You dream about this, but you never know if you’re going to realize that. She was pumping herself up, and they responded to her. It sent chills up my spine,” he said at the match. Celebrities also attended the tournament to show their support and enjoy the game. Russell and Ciara Wilson, Mike Tyson, Brooklyn Nets player Ben Simmons, Spike Lee and New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley were just some of the stars spotted in the stands.

On Friday (Sept. 2), Serena Williams played in the final U.S. Open of her career ahead of her retirement. Gauff has been very vocal about Williams being an inspiration in her career. Last month, the young athlete shared that the first time she ever made money as a kid was playing a young Williams in a commercial. “I think I was 9 or 10 years old. They needed a stunt double to play a young version of her, just the [face] down. I think it was for a Delta commercial,” Gauff shared at a press conference before the U.S. Open.

She added, “I don’t think they ever used it, but that was the first check I ever got as a kid. She doesn’t know this, but the first money I ever made for myself was because of her, doing a commercial.” Following Williams’ last game, Gauff shared a sweet tribute on Twitter: “Serena, THANK YOU. It is because of you I believe in this dream. The impact you’ve had on me goes beyond any words that can be put together and for that, I say thank you, thank you, thank you, GOAT!”

Tomorrow (Sept. 6), Gauff will take on Caroline Garcia of France as the U.S. Open continues.

Prince William Has ‘No Plans’ To See His Brother Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Following Their UK Arrival Over Fears Of What They Will Share In Upcoming Netflix Documentary
Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton have no plans on meeting Prince Harry and Meghan Markle following their arrival in the UK over the weekend. According to The Sun, there’s still a lot of friction between the royal brothers, who have been on frosty terms ever since Harry and Meghan decided to quit their royal duties and relocate to Los Angeles. Sources for the publication assert that the plentiful interviews and comments made against the Royal Family by the pair have not sat well with Harry’s relatives — particularly William.

Netflix previously confirmed that Meghan and Harry are working on an upcoming documentary about their lives, and it’s believed cameras have been following them around since moving to LA. Given how much they have shared about the royals in their past interview with Oprah Winfrey, alongside comments Meghan has made on her Spotify podcast, there’s a lot of concern about whether the pair can be trusted given how much they have shared with the public.

On top of the Netflix documentary, Prince Harry is also working on an upcoming memoir which is set to be released around Christmas, and it’s very likely there’ll be some things mentioned in the book that is going to make the royals very unhappy. William, who has allegedly denounced his brother’s decision to work with Netflix in a $100 million deal, is therefore choosing to keep his distance because he simply can’t be trusted, an insider said. “They have lost their chance of being trusted as the chance is they will record any conversation and use it against them.”

“But it is understood that Prince William, 40, feels he cannot trust his younger brother not to repeat their conversations,” the British news outlet continued. “He and wife Kate, 40, Prince Charles and the Queen are thought to have no immediate plans to see Harry and Meghan, who are visiting the UK from their California home.”

“I think it’s likely that Catherine and William will try to avoid any contact with Harry and Meghan until they know the contents of Harry’s memoirs and their Netflix documentary,” Royal biographer Angela Levin continued. “It’s their own fault for vastly exaggerating and being rude.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are believed to be staying at Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, which is just 0.4 miles away from William and Kate’s four-bedroom Adelaide Cottage. The pair have only been living there since last month, and though they are in such close proximity with Harry and Meghan, there are no plans in either of them meeting up because there’s still a lot of tension over Harry and Meghan’s decision to live their lives on their own terms but still using the royal image to further their careers in Hollywood.

Britney Spears Is Now An Atheist & Calls Out Son Jayden, Who She Claims Only Wants Her Money & ‘Secretly Loves Believing’ She Is Ill
Sheesh! Britney Spears has cleared the room after reacting to her 15-year-old son Jayden’s latest interview, alongside his father Kevin Federline and brother Preston. In addition to becoming an atheist, Britney is calling her son out, claiming he only wants her for her money and “secretly loves believing” she is ill.

Not only does Jayden support his father’s views, but he also defends his maternal grandpa Jaime Spears, for putting Britney in a conservatorship. Jayden said, his Jaime “didn’t deserve all the [public] hatred he is getting.”

While taking to Instagram, Britney uploaded a nearly 3-minute clip, and this is what she said:
“I can totally understand why my family would have a problem with me doing my own thing. Maybe ‘cause I never have. Maybe it is a little different and a touch lighter me not being responsible for three 18-wheeler trucks with tour equipment and thousands of people to be responsible for on tour, and dad and Robin being in the corner of everyone room, I’ve ever had to be in.

So, Jayden as you undermine my behavior — just as my family always has, with ‘I hope she gets better. I will pray for her’ — pray for what? I keep working so I can help pay off mom’s legal fees and her house. Do you guys want me to get better so that I can give your dad $40 grand a month? Or is the reason behind you guys deciding to be hateful is because it’s actually over in two years and you don’t get anything?

I will say it. I sat in that kitchen and looked you straight n the eyes, beautiful boy, and said, ‘How come I can’t see you guys anymore? Or just see you guys more? I look forward to seeing you guys weekly.’ You said, ‘Oh mama, it will change.’ You and your brother left me in that house always two hours early. Preston would sleep, you’d play the piano the whole time. And if I didn’t shower you guys with gifts and have amazing food ready, and play a motherf***ing saint, it was still never good enough.

That one time I asked and looked you straight in your eyes, ‘I want to see you more,’ you called your dad. I never saw you again. I didn’t do anything wrong and I know I’m not perfect. But, the love I’ve given you and how much I adore you and your diplomatic ways, speaking like paw paw, self entitled, ‘this can be fixed. I will see her when she’s better’

… Jayden it was a miracle I could even have a normal conversation when I got out of that place. But, you were just like my other family. You secretly loved looking at me, as if something was wrong with me. I didn’t need a family hiding sh*t and whispering sh*t behind my back. Feeling subconsciously guilty because I paid for every f***ing thing in both homes. I need unconditional love and support.

But guess what — the whole twist of it all — which would’ve made a little bit more sense. I was in the greatest state I’ve ever been. ‘Cause I was actually able to speak up 100 percent and say, ‘No.’ It saddens me not one of you have valued me as a person. You’ve witnessed me how my family has been to me, and that’s ALL you know.

Like I said, I feel you all secretly like to say something’s wrong with me. Honestly, my dad needs to be in jail for the rest of his life. But, like I said, God would not allow that to happen to me, if a God existed. I don’t believe in God anymore because of the way my children and my family have treated me. There is NOTHING to believe in anymore. I’m an atheist y’all.”

Armie Hammer's Ex Courtney Vucekovich Releases Statement After Docu-Series Viewers
Here’s what she said in the statement… Courtney has spoken out in a statement that was given to People.
“When you are love-bombed, you receive multiple images in rapid succession. During my time with Armie, I received numerous messages including countless images and videos,” Courtney said. “The bite mark shown was a photo sent by Armie within our archived text thread and over a year later, I believed it to have been a photo of me given that I have dozens of photos depicting his abuse on my body.”

“I have chosen to tell my story to shed light on what I experienced within my relationship in hopes others are not put in the same situation,” she added.

A spokesperson for the docu-series’ production company said, “We take seriously the responsibility of representing victims’ stories. When new information came forward about this series we immediately began investigating it and will make any appropriate changes as quickly as possible. We are proud of those who came forward to share their truth to the public — including Courtney Vucekovich and Casey Hammer — and stand firmly behind the important message in this docuseries.”

Prince’s Estate Wins Trademark Lawsuit Against Bang Energy Drink
“Purple Rain” is one of those phrases that can only be associated with Prince and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office agrees. A forum of justice ruled on Aug. 23 that Bang Energy could not file trademark rights to “Purple Rain,” siding with the late rockstar’s estate that the term “uniquely and unmistakably” points to him.

“Consumers encountering applicant’s mark, when used in connection with applicant’s goods, will presume a connection between ‘Purple Rain’ and Prince,” one judge wrote on the decision. The ruling additionally cited a survey that asked participants what “comes to mind” when they saw the phrase “Purple Rain.” 63% responded with “Prince,” the 1984 musical film, the album of the same name, or its titular song.
Bang Energy CEO Jack Owoc told Billboard on Wednesday (Aug. 31) that he was “a big fan” of Prince and opted not to proceed with the dispute. “We greatly respect Prince and his estate and will not ‘rain’ on their parade. Maybe we can negotiate a deal in the future that is mutually beneficial to both parties,” he stated.

Londell McMillan, Prince’s longtime lawyer and manager, added, “Prince’s music, art, and trademarks hold a special place in our society and culture. Purple Rain is a Prince mark and brand known worldwide. Please respect these unique assets or suffer at your own peril.”

Chris Rock criticizes Will Smith's apology for Oscars slap: 'F*** your hostage video'
American comedian, actor, screenwriter, television producer, film producer, and director

Chris Rock isn't interested in the public apology video Will Smith posted on social media months after slapping the comedian at the Oscars.

During a performance with Dave Chappelle at London’s O2 Arena on Saturday evening, Rock, 57, responded to Smith's apology by saying "f*** your hostage video," Deadline reported.

Rock was referring to the video Smith released back in late July to apologize for slapping Rock during the March Academy Awards telecast. The comedian had made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith's hair, reportedly unaware she has alopecia. As a response, Smith, 53, who would later accept the Oscar for Best Actor that night, cursed at Rock before storming the stage and smacking him.

Rock continued a bit that he's performed throughout his tour, saying “Yes that s*** hurt. He played Ali," referring to Smith's role as the legendary boxer Muhammad Ali in 2001 film Ali. "I can’t even play Floyd Mayweather.”

Joking that Rock had "upstaged" him that night by making a joke about Smith, Chappelle also addressed the Oscar skirmish during his turn at the mic. He told the London audience that if the actor had slapped him onstage during the awards show, he would not have “enjoyed the rest of his night."

Chappelle added that since his own personal experience with attacked on-stage, he never knows if a crowd is hostile.

“That was some scary s***,” he said of the incident at his May show.
Just last week during a performance of his stand-up show in Phoenix, Ariz., Rock claimed he was asked to host next year's Oscars but refused the invitation.

According to The Arizona Republic, "Rock compared returning to the Oscars like returning to the scene of a crime, referencing the murder trial of O.J. Simpson, whose ex-wife's killing began with her leaving a pair of eyeglasses at an Italian restaurant. Rock said returning to the award ceremony would be like asking Nicole Brown Simpson 'to go back to the restaurant.'"

In the apology video, the King Richard star said he had tried to connect with Rock in the months following the incident, but hadn't had any success in speaking to the comic directly.

"I've reached out to Chris and the message that came back is he's not ready to talk and when he is, he will reach out. So I will say to you, Chris, I apologize to you," Smith shared. "My behavior was unacceptable and I'm here whenever you're ready to talk."

One person Smith does have in his corner is ex-wife Sheree Zampino, with whom he shares 29-year-old son Trey. The frequent Real Housewives of Beverly Hills guest star said that no matter what happens to Smith, she stands by him.

"I ride with him!" she told Page Six last week. Still, watching the incident on TV as it occurred proved to be "surreal."

“I thought it was a skit at first, but once I realized it was real, my thinking was, ‘I’m not even going to deal with this because it’s his night,'" she said. "When he came over, we were supportive and loved on him. The whole situation was foreign to me because Will is always in control and gracious. You don’t really see him get upset that often.”

That said, Zampino thinks it's time to move on from the incident at the Oscars.

“He’s apologized, and he’s taken responsibility and accountability for it,” Zampino added. “I don’t know what happened in the moment. I wouldn’t ask. If that’s something he wants to share, he can. But he’s got a family that loves him, rides for him and supports him. He’s allowed to be human.”

Tasha K Seeking A New Trial Following Verdict In Cardi B’s Defamation Suit
Tasha K (real name LaTasha Kebe) is seeking a new trial against Cardi B (real name Belcalis Almánzar). The blogger claims that the Grammy-winning rapper failed to disprove allegations regarding prostitution and HPV in their initial legal suit. In January, a jury found the vlogger libel for defamation, invasion of privacy, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

According to court documents obtained by AllHipHop, Tasha K is alleging that the appointed judge swayed the jury’s preposition in Cardi B’s favor. Her lawyer says a judge wrongfully prevented character evidence from being presented to jurors.

“At trial, the Defendants were prohibited from presenting evidence of [Cardi B’s] character and specific instances of Plaintiff’s conduct, even though under Georgia law, when there is an assertion of damage to reputation (like in this case), Plaintiff’s character is substantively at issue,” Izmaylova wrote. “The district court’s erroneous exclusion of Plaintiff’s character evidence resulted in a very lopsided presentation of evidence to the jury. Because the jury did not get to learn the type of conduct Plaintiff engages in or who the Plaintiff truly is as a person, the jury returned a general verdict for the Plaintiff, against both Defendants.”

She went on further in the documents, “[Cardi B’s] claims were based on six statements, which she alleged were Defamatory. However, Plaintiff failed to prove, with clear and convincing evidence, that the Defendants published any of those six statements with actual malice. The gist of Plaintiff’s evidence consisted of her testimony that those six statements were not true. Meanwhile, the Defendants presented a plethora of evidence, showing the origin of each one of the six statements and proving the Defendants did not act with actual malice.”

Arguing that the “Hot Sh*t” rapper failed to prove that Tasha K published videos with malicious intent, Cardi B’s lawyer claims that the vlogger provided a “plethora of evidence” and revisited her initial allegations, which included allegations of prostitution and drug use for Cardi.

“Ms. Kebe testified that when she said [Cardi B] was a prostitute, she believed that to be a true statement because ‘Ms. Almanzar has made various videos over the course of her career bragging about being a prostitute and having tricks,” Izmaylova stated. “The Defendants proved that Ms. Kebe did not act with actual malice when Ms. Kebe said Plaintiff was a prostitute, so Plaintiff cannot prevail on the defamation claim with that statement.”

Tasha K’s lawyer also addressed the published allegations about Cardi B supposedly having a sexually transmitted disease.

“Ms. Kebe has never made the statement that [Cardi B] has genital herpes and no evidence of such a statement was introduced at trial,” Izmaylova wrote. “When asked whether Jones said Plaintiff had herpes, Ms. Kebe clarified ‘[c]old sores to be exact.’”

She added, “Ms. Kebe testified that when she says Plaintiff has cold sores or herpes, she is basing that statement on the following information: the definition of cold sores as an ‘infection with the herpes simplex virus around the border of the lips; a video in which Ms. Kebe believed she heard Plaintiff admit to having cold sores; pictures of Plaintiff with cold sores on her lips; pictures of Plaintiff’s husband with cold sores on his lips; tons of tweets, dating back to 2015, stating that Plaintiff has cold sores or herpes; hearing other celebrities say that Plaintiff has cold sores or herpes; and knowing that those pictures, tweets, and statements (published long before the Jones interview) are still available to the public and that Plaintiff has never sued any of the people, who made those statements, for defamation.”

Izmaylova went on to confirm that Tasha K demands a new trial. The lawyer made claims that the previous jury erroneously found her liabel for defamation and invasion of privacy. Kebe’s attorney stated that the original verdict “must be reversed in its entirety” and character evidence must be allowed if the case is tried again.

Tasha K appeared on Fox Soul’s Turnt Out With TS Madison in April, where she detailed why she lost her case against Cardi B.

First-Look Photos For Milli Vanilli’s Biopic ‘Girl You Know It’s True’
LEONINE Studios has revealed the first images from Girl You Know It’s True, the upcoming international biopic about pop group Milli Vanilli. Rising actors Tijan Njie from Germany and Elan Ben Ali from France are set to star in the lead roles of the duo Robert Pilatus and Fabrice Morvan.

Matthias Schweighöfer takes the role of German music producer Frank Farian. The cast also includes Graham Rogers as Milli Vanilli’s U.S. assistant Todd and Bella Dayne as Milli, Farian’s right-hand.

According to a press release, the film is centered around the true story of the notorious scandal involving Milli Vanilli, the chart-topping music act exposed for lip-syncing to the voices of two other artists.

Multi-award-winning filmmaker Simon Verhoeven is directing, based on his original screenplay. Quirin Berg and Max Wiedemann are producing with Kirstin Winkler overseeing production. Kevin Liles, member of Numarx, co-founder and CEO of music company 300 Entertainment is executive producing alongside co-producers Simon Verhoeven, Frank Farian, and Stefan Gärtner.

“Girl You Know It’s True is captivating on so many levels,” explained Verhoeven. “It not only tells the spectacular rise of two underdogs making it to the zenith of showbiz within one summer, it also gives a fascinating glimpse behind the scenes of that illusory world of fame and its sometimes tragic and unscrupulous machinations. Personally, I think Rob and Fab did not deserve to become the sole scapegoats of this scandal.”
“Girl You Know It’s True comes from the heart of a decade when MTV planted its flag on the moon and we were able to see music, not just listen to it. Our film celebrates Rob and Fab and what they achieved with Milli Vanilli and at the same time Simon’s fantastic screenplay also captures the complexity and ultimately tragic dimension that came with it,” added Berg.

“He offers not just an immensely entertaining take on the story but also a layer of critical reflection that asks many questions which seem more relevant today than ever. It took many years to secure the music rights and it’s a huge milestone to see this project in production now.”

Jasmin Davis, daughter of the late John Davis, and Brad Howell, who were the true voices of Milli Vanilli, consulted on the film. Carmen Pilatus, sister of the late Rob Pilatus, Milli Vanilli’s former assistant Todd Headlee, and Ingrid Segieth aka Milli, are also attached as associate producers.

Filming for Girl You Know It’s True is set to wrap in December.

The Weeknd Makes A Young Cancer Patient’s Dream Come True By Meeting Her Backstage
The Weeknd has reached world-dominating levels of fame, especially after unveiling Dawn FM earlier this year. But he, real name Abel Tesfaye, is also a nice person; in July, he flew a 6-year-old superfan out to his concert after they missed a postponed Toronto show. He showed more of his goodness over this past weekend.

A fan’s mom tried to reach Tesfaye on Twitter in order to get her daughter, a cancer patient, to meet him. “My daughter wants to meet her favorite artist @theweeknd and go to his concert,” she wrote in a tweet. “I want to make that happen for her, she deserves the best of the best. she’s kicking cancer’s butt and still being a light in this world. help me make it happen for her. #AbelMeetKatana.”

She added, “My sister already got us floor seat tickets to see Abel in Los Angeles on Sept 2nd. Katana’s birthday is September 9th. It would be the biggest present I could possibly give her to meet her favorite artist and see him live. She wants to go with me so badly.”

Lee Daniels and Mo’Nique Celebrate Their Collaboration After Decade-Long Feud
Lee Daniels and Mo’Nique were all smiles after filming their upcoming movie, “The Deliverance,” came to an end for the 54-year-old actress.
The American film director uploaded a photo of himself with the comedian-turned-actress seemingly laughing together against a backdrop of people snapping cellphone shots and clapping.
Mo’Nique also posted the photo onto her page with the caption “WE BACK!! I LOVE US 4REAL IT’S A WRAP FOR ME ON THE DELIVERANCE”

Fans of the pair’s friendship shared their excitement in seeing the two finally together again in good spirits after a decade-long feud.

“This is beautiful. ‘Cuz baby.. I didn’t think we was gonna get here”
“I love when we heal and move forward”
“Great example of reconnecting through the power of forgiveness and its redemptive power it can bring into our lives.”

The last time audience’s saw Daniels and Mo’Nique collaborate was on the set of the 2009 Academy award-winning film “Precious.” The indie drama earned Mo’Nique her first Academy Award for her role as Precious’ mother, Mary.
However, feelings between Daniels and Mo’Nique were far from precious after the “Phat Girlz” actress revealed Daniels felt a type of way due to her refusing to campaign for her award. In 2015, Mo’Nique was interviewed by “The Hollywood Reporter” and described a phone call she received from Daniels proclaiming she has been blackballed.

“I got a phone call from Lee Daniels maybe six or seven months ago. And he said to me, ‘Mo’Nique, you’ve been blackballed.’ And I said, ‘I’ve been blackballed? Why have I been blackballed?’ And he said, ‘Because you didn’t play the game.’ And I said, ‘Well, what game is that?’ And he gave me no response.”

Daniels responded to Mo’Nique’s claims and explained how some of her demands throughout filming “Precious” “soured her relationship with the Hollywood community.”

Through the years, both Mo’Nique and Daniels have discussed their complicated relationship, and their feud looked as if there was no room for possible reconnection. That was until April 1, 2022 when Daniels publicly apologized to his former friend on stage in Staten Island, New York, for “hurting you in any way.”

The two seemingly worked through their differences and Daniels eventually brought Mo’Nique onto his cast of upcoming Netflix film “The Deliverance” — originally titled “Demon House.”
Cast also includes Omar Epps, Andra Day, Caleb McLaughlin, Glenn Close, and many more stars.

Frances Tiafoe Upsets Rafael Nadal in 4th Round of US Open
Twenty-two-time grand slam champion Rafael Nadal was upset in the fourth round of the US Open on Monday by American Frances Tiafoe at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Flushing, New York.
In a match that lasted more than 3 hours and 30 minutes, the Maryland native defeated Nadal 6-4, 4-6, 6-4, 6-3.

Tiafoe, 24, is the youngest American man to get this far in the US Open since a then-24-year-old Andy Roddick was a finalist in 2006.

“It was definitely one hell of a performance,” he said following the match. “I played really well today. Yeah, I guess, I mean, I just came out there and I just believed I could do it. It helps I played him a couple of times.”
Earlier in the tournament, Tiafoe said he was happy to be going mostly unnoticed. After his win Monday, he expressed joy for what his victory against Nadal meant to his parents, who immigrated to the United States from Sierra Leone.
“I just had a big passion for the game. Not even mainly for me, but to do it for them. To see them experience me beat Rafa Nadal, they’ve seen me have big wins, but to beat those Mount Rushmore guys, for them, I can’t imagine what was going through their heads.

“Yeah, I mean, they’re going to remember today for the rest of their lives.”
Nadal, 36, recorded his first loss in a grand slam event this year and is now 22-1 this season. The Spaniard won the Australian Open and French Open before withdrawing from Wimbledon in July before his scheduled semifinal showdown with Australian Nick Kyrgios.

“The difference is easy,” Nadal said afterward. “I played a bad match and he played a good match. At the end that’s it, no?”

Nadal said Tiafoe played more solidly than in previous matches between the two, served well, had good backhands and was quick.
“But I don’t think I pushed him enough to create him the doubts that I need to create,” he said. “Of course, he did the things well. If not, he will not win, without a doubt. Congrats to him.”

Nadal said he needs to “fix things” and when he feels mentally ready to compete again, he will, but he is unsure about the timetable.

Tiafoe will face Andrey Rublev of Russia in a quarterfinal on Wednesday.
The US Open men’s singles final is scheduled for Sunday.

Toys ‘R’ Us Files A Lawsuit And Accuses A Houston Toy Seller Of Trademark Infringement
Toys ‘R’ Us files a lawsuit against Houston toy seller Toyz for trademark infringement.
The once-dominant toy chain recently announced its plan to revive the stores with a National comeback this fall. However, before that happens, Toys ‘R’ Us has some legal issues to square away.

The company is suing Toyz for trademark infringement, accusing the small business of copying its logo. The small business is a toy seller with three locations in the Houston area and an online store.
Farida Afzal, Toyz owner, opened the business in 2003 inside Sharpstown Mall after moving from Pakistan. According to her son, the stores coexisted in the mall until the dominant seller filed for bankruptcy in 2017.

“We were right downstairs. Same mall. Same everything. You could see us downstairs. Nobody ever came to us,” he said.

When Toys ‘R’ Us moved out of the mall, Afzal was able to secure the exact location for her store. However, in 2021, the Afzal family received a cease and desist letter from Toys ‘R’ Us. The letter alleged that the store’s multi-colored bubble font logo is too similar to its logo. The company also accuses Toyz of keeping their old decorations inside the store.

Representing the Afzal family, Lema Barazi says her clients won’t be changing their logo because they do not believe the logos are similar.

“We have a huge global corporation trying to fight and shut down a mom-and-pop shop. By having questionable allegations that, frankly, hold no water,” Barazi says.
A federal judge halted the case until mid-September and requested for Toys ‘R’ Us lawyers to provide proof showing a list of similar cases they’ve filed worldwide against other small toy stores.

Netflix‘s ad-supported subscription tier will officially go live on Nov. 1.
Whether you love it or hate it, it’s here. The streaming platform’s subscription that will feature ads is finally among us. They are coming to your screens as an option on Nov. 1, months before its initial plans. The ads will be available as a tier option first in the U.S., Canada, the U.K. and Germany.

Back in April, Netflix CEO Reed Hastings said, “we’re trying to figure [it] out over the next year or two.” PC Mag reports that the company may be trying to get ahead of one of its competitors: Google. Disney+’s ad-supported subscription is set to launch Dec. 8.

“We are still in the early days of deciding how to launch a lower-priced, ad-supported tier and no decisions have been made,” said a spokesperson for Netflix in an interview with Variety when questioned about Disney+’s launch.
