BREAKING! Jussie Smollett Found Guilty Of Falsely Reporting A Hate Crime
Jussie Smollett has been found guilty on five counts of felony disorderly conduct by a Chicago jury for making false reports to police that he was the victim of a hate crime in January 2019.
Smollett was also acquitted on one count of felony disorderly conduct.
Smollett took the stand and testified before the jury that he never lied to police and denied orchestrating the attack on himself.
Prosecutors sought to show that the former “Empire” actor made false reports to police after paying Olabinjo and Abimbola Osundairo to carry out a staged hate crime attack against him to garner sympathetic media coverage.
A disorderly conduct charge for a false crime report is a Class 4 felony and punishable by up to three years in prison and a $25,000 fine. Cook County Judge James Linn will have discretion in imposing a concurrent or consecutive sentence for each count at a later date.
Jury deliberated for more than 9 hours before reaching a verdict
A verdict has been reached in the trial of Jussie Smollett, according to Mary Wisniewski, director of communications for the Office of the Chief Judge of the Cook County Circuit Court.
The jury of six men and six women deliberated for more than nine hours, two hours on Wednesday and about seven hours on Thursday.
The trial, which began last week, stems from an incident nearly three years ago when Smollett, who is Black and gay, told police two men attacked him late one night by his Chicago apartment. The mystery suspects called him anti-gay and racist slurs, put a noose around his neck, poured bleach on him and exclaimed, "This is MAGA country," he told police.

Foxy Brown had a very close relationship with JAY-Z in the mid-90s that saw them appear on each other’s records and more. Fans believed a romance was brewing between the two, but Foxy denied it every time it was brought up over the years.
The rumors started back up last week when Foxy Brown posted an Instagram throwback picture of herself and Hov embracing one another for his birthday on December 4. In the caption, Foxy thanked “Hovy” for the guidance back in the day.
“Thank You Hovy For all the G that you taught me So my PEN be STUPID,” she wrote in her IG Story.

Nicki Minaj was feeling herself on her 39th birthday, and to celebrate the occasion she got right down to her birthday suit!
The "Beez In The Trap" rapper left very little to the imagination on Wednesday when she posted a series of nude photos on Instagram. The first picture shows Barbie holding a birthday cake with one hand and covering her breasts with her other hand. A glitzy body chain and earrings are her only accessories.
In the second photo, Minaj bares practically all while sitting naked on a giant teddy bear. She's sporting hot pink hair and a pair of heels as she smiles for the camera.
The last picture goes back to Minaj holding the birthday cake, only this time she's leaning forward and looking away from the camera while holding on to her breasts.
She captioned the photos, "Say Happy Birthday to da Bad Guy 🎉🎀," a reference to Tony Montana's famous line in the 1983 film Scarface. It's not the first time she's paid homage to the Al Pacino film. In her 2018 track "Chun-Li," she rapped, "Oh, I get it. They paintin' me out to be the bad guy. Well, it's the last time you're gonna see a bad guy do the rap game like me."

Wendy Williams Hiatus Continues As Guest Hosts Are Announced For New Season Next Year
It looks like we will still be waiting for Wendy Williams to return to her hit daytime talk show.
The Wendy Show announced on Instagram the return of show next year with the special guest hosts Remy Ma and Fat Joe, Michael Rappaport, Kym Whitley and Finesse Mitchell, and fan favorite Sherri Shepherd. The post stated:

As previously reported, Williams was supposed to start the show’s 13th season on Sept. 20. However, producers have pushed back the legendary TV host’s return to her popular “purple chair” at least three times.

“As everyone knows, my health has been a hot topic. I’m making progress, but it’s just one of those things that’s taking longer than we expected.”
Claims about Williams including that she’s had to use a wheelchair and that she’s suffering from early-onset dementia was swirling around the world. However, according to Tommy Williams, the host’s younger brother, those claims were false.
“We haven’t had any alerts like that, and I haven’t seen anything like that or have had conversations with her that would lead me to believe that.”
Williams is said to be experiencing complications from the autoimmune disorder Graves’ disease. Additionally, the veteran talk show host reportedly experienced a breakthrough case of COVID-19, and also allegedly received a psychological evaluation at a New York hospital.
Jalen Rose files for divorce from First Take's Molly Qerim
One of the most high-profile couples in sports media are calling it quits.
ESPN's Jalen Rose filed for divorce from "First Take" moderator Molly Qerim, according to Hartford County, Connecticut court records.
Rose, who played 16 seasons in the NBA, is an analyst on "NBA Countdown," the network's NBA pre-game show. Rose first gained notoriety in college as a member of the "Fab Five" at Michigan, and helped to lead the Wolverines to two national title game appearances.
Rose, 48, filed court documents in April to dissolve the now three-year marriage.
The 37-year-old Qerim was named the co-host of "First Take" in 2015.
“After being separated for almost a year, Molly and I have officially decided to go out separate ways,” Rose said on social media. “We both agree remaining friends and colleagues is the best course of action for our relationship moving forward. Please respect our privacy at this time.”
Rose and Qerim were married in July 2018.
Nick Cannon Defends Returning to Work After Death of Infant Son Zen
Nick Cannon is reacting to questions about going back to work. The 41-year-old comedian opened up about going back to work following the tragic news of the death of his 5-month-old son Zen with Alyssa Scott on his latest episode of The Nick Cannon Show.
“A lot of people keep asking me, ‘Why you even at work?’ Especially my family,” he said.
“‘Boy you need to go sit down somewhere. You got too many jobs already anyway!’ I appreciate all that advice and I know it comes from a place of care but to me this isn’t work. This is love,” he continued.
One day before, Nick celebrated the life of his late young son, and reflected on holding his hand “for the last time” visiting the ocean on December 5.
He added the previous day was “a little easier” than the current one.
“Yesterday, I was so laser focused and even numb, you know what I mean? I had to get it done. Today, I’m a little torn. I’m a little confused. Because it’s a hurting thing,” he continued, adding that he was keeping on with the show to be “the light.”
He also thanked Alyssa and the rest of his family.
“People are wondering how she is doing. She is making it five minutes at a time, you know what I mean? You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only option. We here. We smiling through the pain,” he said.
“If I wasn’t here, I’d be probably be in bed, curled up. But you guys give me a reason to get up and get out of bed each and every day.”
Janet Hubert Has Been Released From the Hospital
The actress thanked all those who sent her well wishes.Janet Hubert is recovering after being hospitalized over the weekend. On Tuesday (Dec. 7), she took to social media to announce that she’s returned home while thanking fans for their concern and continuing to keep the details of her stay private.

The actress’ positive message comes days after she revealed she was in the hospital. While being treated for unspecified reasons, she shared a reflective post about the dangers of holding onto anger.
“Don’t waste precious time people in anger,” Hubert wrote in a previous Instagram caption. “Yes people will do you wrong a[n]d you must fight for truth no matter how long, and IF you can get the TRUTH you seek…find love again as we have. Life is too short as I am in [the] hospital as I write this to all of you. Holding onto anger will eat you alive. But truth at any cost, Reputation is PRICELESS.”
The message seemingly referenced her past beef with Will Smith, who she blamed for her years of unemployment following her exit from the “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.”

NBA Youngboy Says Wearing Makeup Makes Him Feel ‘Comfortable’
YoungBoy Never Broke Again is sporting a new look.
The Baton Rouge rapper can be seen wearing face makeup in his new music video for “Black Ball,” which was shot while he was under home confinement. In the clip, his eyes and lips are covered with dark makeup, while the words “Rock” and “Peace” are written on his cheeks.
While speaking with DJ Akademiks on Clubhouse, the 22-year-old opened up about his “goth” appearance and newfound love for makeup.
“I like doing my face, I like painting my face or putting makeup on,” said YoungBoy. “I like to look in the mirror and see everything black, my eyes and shit.”

Mahershala Ali Expresses Gratitude To Wesley Snipes Blessing His Casting As ‘Blade’
Mahershala Ali has heard the blessing of Wesley Snipes for becoming Blade in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and stated that he felt humbled. Ali appeared on The Breakfast Club and spoke to hearing the comments.
“Man, you know, humbled and so encouraged by that,” Ali said. “Because he didn’t have to say that. Wasn’t nobody really asking him like that. So for him to come out and say that, somebody I look up to so much, I sincerely appreciated that. So thank you, brother.”

Two years back when Marvel took over San Diego Comic-Con fans were ready for some bombshell announcements, one of them was a reboot of Blade starring Mahershala Ali.

Dr. Dre’s Ex-Wife Nicole Accuses Mogul Of Spending $7 Million A Month, Demands Trial Over Prenup Not Be Postponed
Dr. Dre’s divorce from Nicole Young has been a messy one. While the former couple separated and were legally divorced in 2020, their legal battle surrounding their prenuptial agreement rages on today.

According to court documents obtained by Radar, Nicole is asking the court to deny Dre’s request to stay their upcoming trial. The former couple is fighting over their prenuptial agreement and whether it is valid.
Nicole admits to signing a prenup before getting hitched in 1996 but claims her ex tore it up years into the marriage. Dre denies ever tearing it up and is demanding it be enforced in court.
The issue is a big deal given Dre’s estate is worth an estimated $1 billion. Nicole claims she only has $1 million in the bank and is drowning in legal fees.
In the past couple of weeks, Nicole has been demanding Dre be ordered to cough up $4 million to help her pay her lawyers. She believes he has an unfair advantage at the moment due to him having hundreds of millions at his disposable.
In newly filed docs, Nicole is demanding the trial over the prenup not be postponed and continue on. Her lawyer accuses Dre of continuing to “play games in an attempt to prolong this litigation and emotionally and financially wear Nicole down.”
In the past, Dre accused Nicole of being the reason the case was dragging on. He even filed a declaration in court stating, “My goal and desire is still to settle. I want to move on with my life, put this divorce behind me and put an end to the enormous costs of this action.”
Nicole says that is not true. She accuses him of being angry and punitive because she refuses to give in to his “unreasonable demands.”
“Instead, Nicole is strong and has asserted her legal rights to spousal support” and attorney fees. “If anyone is to blame for the contentious and expensive litigation, it is Andre, his team and the choices Andre has made.” Nicole believes he is doing this to starve her and her professionals out financially and force her to settle the case.
Nicole says it would only harm her to delay the trial. Her lawyer writes Nicole has a “fundamental right to have this divorce proceeding resolved as soon as possible so that she can move on with her life.”
“As it stands right now, the only financial resource Nicole has is the spousal support she receives from Andre, whereas Andre has unfettered access to $183 Million in cash accounts, which he unabashedly uses to fund his luxurious lifestyle, including extravagant purchases of fine art (in the last 5 months, he has spent over $7 Million per month).”
While the judge presiding over the case has yet to rule on Young’s request to start the prenuptial trial as scheduled, it is almost certain that Dr. Dre will fight back, and has the financial resources to do so.
Chris Cuomo Reportedly Preparing To Sue CNN Over Contract For $18 Million
Less than 48 hours after his termination from CNN, Chris Cuomo is reportedly preparing to sue the network for the money that is leftover from his contract.
A source close to the journalist claims he’s hired lawyers in preparation to file the lawsuit regarding the remainder of his four-year contract with CNN. According to the New York Post, Cuomo signed the four-year contract last year and it was reportedly worth $6 million per year. Due to his termination, the leftover money from his contract is between $18 million and $20 million but CNN is reportedly refusing to pay the remainder.
“CNN has a standard morality clause in their contract that says if the employee does anything of disrepute, they can be immediately fired,” a source told the media outlet.
The news comes amid the termination of Cuomo’s contract with the network after it was discovered there was more evidence of him attempting to find information on his brother Andrew’s accusers. Additionally, he was accused of sexual misconduct by a former co-worker.
It was also revealed by Cuomo’s spokesman that CNN President Jeff Zucker was aware of Chris’ support of his brother. However, CNN has denied the claims.
“He has made a number of accusations that are patently false. This reinforces why he was terminated for violating our standards and practices, as well as his lack of candor,”
Judge Allows Britney Spears To Sign Own Paperwork And Control Finances
For the first time in almost 14 years, Britney Spears can finally hold a pen to paper.
The 40-year-old Princess of Pop is finally able to sign her own paperwork and manage her finances following the end of her conservatorship.
According to Variety, Judge Brenda J. Penny granted those rights back to Spears at a hearing on Wednesday.
The “Toxic” singer’s attorney Mathew Rosengart, went to Los Angeles Superior Courthouse on her behalf.
Following the hearing, outside the courthouse Rosengart said that while this win for Spears is a minor one, the judge has granted her the power to endorse documents herself, meaning “she has the power to do whatever she wants to do.”
Rosengart also spoke to Judge Penny after the court hearing, saying his client, “as an independent woman, not under conservatorship,” should be able to write documents herself.
Spears’ lawyer Matthew Rosengart appeared on her behalf at a court hearing on Wednesday.

In 2008, Spears’ father, Jamie was appointed her conservator and has been in control of her finances and other major decisions since.
The lengthy conservatorship was fully terminated on Nov. 12 by Judge Penny. However, Spears’ accountant John Zabel was given power of execution of the estate trust and power to transfer assets into the trust.
Wednesday’s hearing has instructed Zabel to continue work until Jan. 19, when the next hearing is set to take place.
Jamie was called on the phone during the court hearing and his lawyer, Alex Weingarten, asked Penny for the Grammy winner’s father to have access to the estate plan.
But Zabel’s attorney, also present in the courtroom, strongly objected to this motion, saying, “In a normal situation, a normal person would never have to show their estate plan” to their family or friends.
Rosengart also alleged outside the courtroom that Jamie didn’t cooperate with his demands for certain documents that his law firm feels will “shed light in regard to his abuses and the alleged conduct.” He added that if Spears’ father doesn’t comply with his requests, his firm will serve him a deposition.
“We served papers for his deposition. He did not appear for his deposition the first time; he did not appear for his deposition a second time, so he has not yet been deposed,” the attorney explained. “But he will be deposed in this case. I look forward to taking his deposition.”
Serena Williams Confirms She Won’t Compete in Australian Open
Serena Williams is bowing out of the Australian Open after an announcement. The iconic tennis player confirmed she will not be playing because she is “following the advice of my medical team.”
Many suspected her absence since she withdrew from her first match in Wimbledon due to a right hamstring injury earlier this year. She has competed in multiple Australian Open tournaments, however, her name was missing on the list this year.
The Grand Slam champion says, “Following the advice of my medical team, I have decided to withdraw from this year’s Australian Open.”
She continues, “While this is never an easy decision to make, I am not where I need to be physically to compete. Melbourne is one of my favorite cities to visit and I look forward to playing at the AO every year. I will miss seeing the fans, but am excited to return and compete at my highest level.”

Chile's Congress approves same-sex marriage by an overwhelming majority
Chile approved marriage equality legislation in a landslide vote on Tuesday, after four years of inaction.
Both houses of Chile's Congress authorized the measure with overwhelming majorities, making it the eighth Latin American country to allow same sex marriage, as well as the 31st worldwide.
President Sebastián Piñera, who is poised to leave office in March, opposed the legislation for years. But just six months ago, the conservative leader indicated he'd changed his position on the issue paving the way for Congress to act. He is is expected to sign it into law.
"I think the time has come to guarantee that freedom and that dignity to all people," Piñera said in an annual speech to Congress on June 1.
"I think the time has come for marriage equality in our country," he added.
Existing laws allow gay couples to unite under a Civil Union Pact, which was approved in 2015 and gives couples many of the same rights as married but denies them the right to adopt.
The new law will extend full parental rights to same sex parents and expand spousal benefits and adoption rights for married same-sex couples.
Piñera's public change of heart prompted the bill's recent expedited push through the legislature after it languished in both houses of Congress for four years. It was first introduced in 2017 by then-President Michelle Bachelet.
Rights activists spent more than a decade campaigning for the change, including MOVILH, one of the major backers of the bill.
"After centuries of abuse," the LGBTQ rights group said in a tweet, "the doors of justice, equality and dignity have opened to same sex couples."
The move comes less than two weeks ahead of a polarizing election — a run-off- in which Chileans must decide whether to replace Piñera with far-right populist Jose Antonio Kast or Gabriel Boric, a young leftist former student leader.
On Tuesday Kast, a Catholic who does not support gay marriage and has opposed the measure in the past, revealed that he would have signed the bill into law anyway if he had been president, Reuters reported.

The woman, Maralee Nichols is now suing Thompson for child support and pregnancy-related fees, alleging that she conceived the baby in March, around the NBA player’s birthday, when he and Khloé were still dating. The Kardashian and Thompson currently aren’t together, having broken things off in June.
In addition to sharing three-year-old daughter True with Khloé, Thompson also shares four-year-old Prince with ex-girlfriend Jordan Craig.
