Yara Shahidi for Marie Claire - September 2021!

Yara Shahidi is on the cover of the new issue of Marie Claire magazine. The young actress is on the cover of the magazine’s upcoming “Future Issue”. Highlights from her interview are below.

On creating 7th Sun Productions with her Mom: “Oftentimes with studio systems you get the same list of folks who’ve always had the same opportunities. Breaking [new] people into the studio system, that’s been something that’s been really important to us.”

On partnering with Dior: “I never rep products that I don’t actually really like. I spent all of Grown-ish using [Dior] products and every time you see my face out in the world, even if they’re not tagged, it is a Dior makeup product. And it is the first time in my career in which I can put on a foundation and not end up with a breakout by the end of the day. And we’re working 15-hour days.”

On how proud she is about Black-ish and the opportunities it has given all who worked on it: “If you were to track how many people were able to get their show’s greenlighted who came from Black-ish, if you were to think about the incredible opportunities and doors that it’s opened behind the scenes, that has really been what is most special. You think about just how many directors and writers that have come through and then gone off to do epic things and tell their own super-specific stories. That impact! I don’t know if we’re ever going to be able to capture the full extent.”

#MusicNews: Kehlani Announces New Album ‘Blue Water Road’!

A new era begins. Kehlani has announced that her new album Blue Water Road will arrive this winter. To accompany the announcement, she has shared a cinematic trailer.

In the minute-long clip, a wounded Kehlani limps down a rocky road with a bloody bandage on her knee. A dragonfly lands in the palms of her hands before bursting into flames and transforming into a dark figure that towers over Kehlani.

“BLUE WATER ROAD the album. coming this winter,” tweeted Kehlani. “welcome to my world.”

Blue Water Road follows Kehlani’s last album It Was Good Until It Wasn’t, which was released in May 2020. The project debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and featured appearances from Jhené Aiko, Lucky Daye, and James Blake.

She hinted at a more upbeat tone on the album. “coming out of the rubble of It Was Good Until It Wasnt and into the light, on to the road. let’s have fun,” she tweeted.

#HipHopNews: Kanye West Rushed 'Donda' So He Could Drop It Before Drake's 'Clb' Says Album Laborator Todd Rundgren!

If Kanye West‘s Donda rollout felt messy and hurried, there’s a good reason for that.

According to legendary rock musician Todd Rundgren, who recorded a ton of material for Donda, Kanye rushed his tenth solo album purely so he could release it before Drake‘s Certified Lover Boy.

Donda hit streaming services by surprise on August 29, followed by Certified Lover Boy‘s arrival less than a week later on September 3.

Rundgren, whose compositions have been sampled by everyone from J Dilla and Madlib to Frank Ocean and Fetty Wap, made the claim in an interview with Ultimate Classic Rock published on Tuesday (September 14).

“I realized why they hurriedly wrapped the whole thing up and put out what is obviously really raw, unprocessed stuff,” he said. “It’s because Drake was running the whole process. He was too afraid that Drake would one-up him, so he hurried up and released the album the weekend before Drake could get his out. And in the end, Drake ate his lunch anyway.”

Todd Rundgren isn’t the only insider to suggest Kanye West was keeping tabs on Drake while recording Donda. In July, Consequence claimed in a since-deleted tweet Yeezy was “looking for [Drake’s] drop date” before releasing Donda — perhaps explaining its multiple delays and sudden release.

Whether Kanye’s strategy (if Rundgren’s claim is indeed true) paid off is up for debate. Donda currently holds a 53/100 score on Metacritic, tied with Jesus Is King for his lowest-rated album.

Even though it earned Kanye his ninth consecutive No. 1 album with over 300,000 first-week sales, Donda was swiftly blown out of the water by Drake’s Certified Lover Boy, which shot to the top of the Billboard 200 after moving 613,000 units in its opening week — the biggest sales week of 2021.

Elsewhere in his Ultimate Classic Rock interview, Todd Rundgren explained that he was drafted into work on Donda by Kanye West’s close friend and collaborator 88-Keys, who’s a big fan of his music and wanted to see the two musical greats work with each other.

Rundgren said he accumulated “three album’s worth of Kanye stems” over a year-long period and was happy to contribute to the record any way that he could.

“I didn’t mind working on his gospel stuff,” he said. “If you want to sing about Jesus, go ahead, I don’t care. I’ll help ya do it, you know? If you want to sing about your troubles with your wife, go ahead and do it. I don’t care.”

However, Todd Rundgren ultimately grew frustrated with Kanye West’s creative process and doesn’t know if the material he worked on made it onto the final version of Donda (Rundgren’s name doesn’t appear anywhere in the album’s credits).

“When it got into the homestretch in July, I just said, ‘That’s enough for me. I have no idea whether any of this is being used,'” he explained. “There is a possibility that I’m actually in there somewhere. There’s so much junk in that record!”

He added, “[Kanye West] is a shoe designer… He’s just a dilettante at this point. Nobody would regularly make records like that unless they had stupid money to throw around. Nobody rents a stadium to make a record in. Nobody flies in the entire world of Hip Hop just to croak one syllable, just so you can say that everybody was on it.”

The Time100 List for 2021 Has Been Announced!

The Time100 list for 2021 has been published and there are so many big names on this list!

Some of the highlights include Britney Spears, with an essay about her by Paris Hilton, Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, with an essay about the couple by José Andrés, Scarlett Johansson, with an essay about her by Jamie Lee Curtis, and so much more.

Time100 notable names & quotes

Dolly Parton (with an essay by Miley Cyrus): “Dolly is not only my idol because of her incomparable career—she’s also my role model because of her steadfast morals and values. At her core, she is the definition of a humanitarian….There’s a theory that you shouldn’t meet your heroes, but I wish everyone had the chance to meet Dolly Parton, because she’s even better than your sparkliest dreams.”

Scarlett Johansson (with an essay by Jamie Lee Curtis): “I recently watched her own the screen as the Black Widow, who exacts revenge on a powerful figure who manipulates (emphasis on man) women to fight for him. And then I saw her brilliant response to a real-life manipulation (same emphasis), when she filed a breach-of-contract lawsuit against the studio, alleging its decision to release the film simultaneously in theaters and on streaming cost her substantial losses in pay.Whether as an assassin with a conscience, an actor with an emotional center or, having just given birth to her second child, a fierce mother, the message is clear: Don’t f-ck with this mama bear.”

Britney Spears (with an essay by Paris Hilton): “When most people think of Britney Spears, they think of Britney the superstar. She’s iconic. A legend….When I think of Britney Spears, I see the sweetest soul. A mother. A friend. A fighter. A young woman who grew up in the tabloid culture of the 2000s, when the paparazzi machine was accepted, unforgiving and cruel….Despite the darkness that has surrounded her life, Britney embodies joy and shares the light of her beautiful heart, forever the superstar. So we stand by her and root for her as she turns pain into purpose, her unwavering spirit stronger than ever.”

Prince Harry & Meghan Markle (with an essay by José Andrés): “Springing into action is not the easy choice for a young duke and duchess who have been blessed through birth and talent, and burned by fame. It would be much safer to enjoy their good fortune and stay silent. That’s not what Harry and Meghan do, or who they are…. In a world where everyone has an opinion about people they don’t know, the duke and duchess have compassion for the people they don’t know. They don’t just opine. They run toward the struggle.”

Billie Eilish (with an essay by Megan Thee Stallion): “Billie Eilish is a unique soul, with a voice, style and attitude all unapologetically her own…. She is a rare spirit who speaks from her heart with no pretenses….One who is strong, but still learning and still growing. A woman who stands up for herself and advocates for women everywhere.”

The hosts of Red Table Talk, Willow Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Adrienne Banfield-Norris (with an essay by Tiffany Haddish): “When I went on the show, it was the first time I met her, and I felt like we were born at different times but at the same vibration. Red Table Talk opens up a dialogue with grandmothers, mothers, daughters and granddaughters, where we can all share and relate to one another….For me, to watch those three Black women work together, each representing a different generation, there’s a lot of hope in that.”

Other notable names on the list include

Lil Nas X

Bad Bunny

Daniel Kaluuya

Tracee Ellis Ross

Shonda Rhimes

Jason Sudeikis

Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air Reboot Reveals Full Cast!

Peacock’s Bel-Air, a contemporary reboot of the 90’s sitcom, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, starring Will Smith, has finally revealed its main cast.

As previously reported, the concept for ‘Bel-Air,’ was sparked after Morgan Cooper created a four-minute trailer of the ’90s sitcom as a drama.

Early this month, newcomer Jabari Banks was cast to play Smith’s character, Will, which he was personally surprised by Will Smith with the life-changing news.

Revealing the news today (9/14), Peacock announced the full cast on their Instagram. Joining Banks will be Cassandra Freeman as Aunt Viv, Olly Sholotan as Carlton, Akira Akbar as Ashley, and Jimmy Akingbola as Geoffrey. Reprising the roles of Lisa and Jazz are Simone Joy Jones and Jordan L. Jones.

Rounding out the cast in the covenant role of Uncle Phil will be Adrian Holmes.

Coco Jones, who is best known for Disney Channel’s original movie, ‘Let It Shine,’ will also join the cast as Hilary Banks, the older sibling of the Banks gang.

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, aired in September 1990 and ended after a six-season run. 30 years later, the original cast reunited to celebrate their achievements and the legacy of James Avery, who passed in 2013 at the age of 68.

Bel-Air will air as one-hour episodes, set in modern-day America, and follow the complicated life and journey of the Will Smith character from West Philly to Bel-Air.

Nicki Minaj and Piers Morgan Trade Shots After Rapper’s Controversial Vaccine Comments!

Nicki Minaj and Piers Morgan have spent the better part of their Tuesday going back and forth on Twitter.

via Billboard: On Monday, the rapper revealed that she skipped the 2021 Met Gala due to its vaccine requirement and further explained how she was opting out of getting the jab until she conducts more research herself. Within her viral tweets about the vaccine, Minaj also shared a story about how one of her cousins suffered from adverse side effects after being vaccinated in her native Trinidad.

Professor Chris Whitty, England’s chief medical officer and the U.K. government’s chief medical adviser, commented on Minaj’s claims in a press conference Tuesday, saying she should be “ashamed,” adding that there are “a number of myths that fly around, some of which are just clearly ridiculous and some of which are clearly designed just to scare. That happens to be one of them.”

Morgan jumped into the conversation by tweeting, “Professor Whitty beefing with the ghastly @NICKIMINAJ (one of the rudest little madams I’ve ever met) is not the breaking news that I expected today – but it’s most welcome. She’s peddling lies that will cost lives.”

But Minaj clapped back at Morgan by claiming the two had never met before and suggesting they fix that the old-fashioned English way. “Sir I’ve never met you. I know… we all look alike. ‘Rudest little madam’. I like it. Has a special ring to it. Thanks Pierce,” the “Yikes” MC responded while later changing her Twitter bio to “Rudest little madam” with the Union Jack symbol. “Love the accent. I’d love to come chat. Scones. Tea. Clown nose & big red shoes for you. Lmk babe.”

The former America’s Got Talent judge did let her know, however, that the two have in fact been in the same room together: Minaj performed her 2011 Billboard Hot 100 top 20 hit “Where Them Girls At” with Flo Rida and David Guetta on the singing competition series, while Morgan was still one of the judges, as a few fans pointed out on Twitter.

“Madam, we met on @AGT when you appeared as a guest act – but you refused to say hello to my three young sons because you were ‘too busy,'” Morgan fired back. “Oh, and it’s ‘Piers’ – I know, we Brit names all sound alike.”

Minaj promptly told him to “stop f-kng lying” and claimed that one of the members on her team might have been the ones to shoo Morgan and his family away. “Don’t blame me you stupid piece of sh–,” she shot back before asking the Barbz what AGT was after she remembered briefly stepping on as an American Idol judge during season 13. When a fan showed her footage from her “Where Them Girls At” performance on AGT, Minaj simply rejected the notion (cue “It Wasn’t Me” by Shaggy): “That’s not me.”

G-Eazy arrested after Fashion Week brawl at the Boom Boom Room!

Rapper G-Eazy was charged with assault on Monday after a nightclub brawl that left one scenester needing stitches in his head.

Page Six exclusively reported that the “No Limit” rapper’s crew clashed with another group of revelers at the Standard hotel early Friday morning as Fashion Week parties raged in the hotels swanky clubs, Le Bain and the Boom Boom Room.

Sources told us that at around 12:40 a.m. “something set someone off” and in the ensuing melee someone in G-Eazy’s crew ended up hitting socialite Daniel Chetrit — who is the son of real estate developer Joseph Chetrit and whose famous pals include Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid — over the head with a bottle.

Cops tells Page Six that G-Eazy was “charged with assault after a 29-year-old male and 32-year-old male reported being struck by the defendant.” It’s unclear if anyone else was charged after the incident or if Chetrit was one of the people that G-Eazy allegedly assaulted.

The rapper was arrested on Monday at 5:30 p.m. as celebs across the city were readying for the Met Gala, and he received a desk appearance ticket. He’ll go before a judge at a later date.

Cops tell Page Six that neither of the people he allegedly punched were hospitalized.

Multiple sources tell us that Chetrit, whose family briefly owned the iconic Chelsea Hotel and recently offloaded a Miami Beach hotel for $42 million, had to get stitches in his head.

Reps for G-Eazy did not respond to request for comment. We attempted to reach Chetrit’s family for comment but did not hear back.

It’s not G-Eazy’s first arrest. In May 2018 he was picked up in Stockholm for assault after he punched a security guard, and was allegedly found with approximately 1.5 ounces of cocaine.

R. Kelly’s former dancer says she witnessed him sexually abuse Aaliyah!

R. Kelly’s former backup dancer testified that she witnessed the disgraced singer sexually abuse Aaliyah when she was only 13 or 14 years old.

According to The New York Times, the woman, who testified under the name Angela, told jurors that she was performing with the 12 Play singer on tour. While going to visit the singer on his tour bus, she witnessed him “in a sexual situation” with Aaliyah, who was seated in a chair. Angela said she “closed the door abruptly” and never talked about the situation with him. The incident allegedly took place in 1993, one year before Kelly illegally married the underage One In A Million singer.

Kelly in 1991, when she was between 14 and 15 years old. The “I Believe I Can Fly” singer began having sex with her while she was underage and attending high school. She testified that Kelly would often pressure her and several others who worked with him as backup performers to have sex.

The dancer said she met Aaliyah shortly after she began working on her first album, Age Ain’t Nothing But A Number. Angela stated that the singer traveled with Kelly on tour to “get her feet wet,” but it was during that trip when she caught the two engaging in a sexual act.

R. Kelly accuser says singer starved her for several days then raped her

On a separate occasion, Angela testified that she and a group of girls — including Aaliyah — were scolded for breaking Kelly’s rules. The girls made a trip to a nearby 7-Eleven store, but the “Bump n’ Grind” singer reportedly told them not to leave the hotel. Once he heard about their disobedience, Angela said he demanded sex. “Robert told all of us we would have to put out,” she said. “It was dues time.”

Angela said she refused Kelly’s advances and she does not know whether or not Aaliyah complied with his orders that night

Fallon, Colbert and Meyers pay homage to Norm Macdonald following comedian's death!

Following the shocking death of comedian Norm Macdonald Tuesday, who died at the age of 61 after secretly living with cancer for nine years, late night hosts rightfully paid homage to the comedy legend.

On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Macdonald’s fellow Saturday Night Live alum appeared to be fighting emotion when he first spoke of Macdonald’s death, but went on to tell the first joke he ever heard Macdonald tell, a long and rambling take on dogs. Fallon also spoke about the first time he met Macdonald shortly after being hired at SNL. Fallon happened upon Macdonald having breakfast and introduced himself, excitedly telling Macdonald that he’s the best. But being that he was seated with Bob Newhart, Macdonald would not accept Fallon’s compliment.

On The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, following the monologue, Colbert came back from commercial break and spoke about his short time working with Macdonald at SNL. Colbert only worked there as a guest writer for a few weeks, and said that Macdonald invited him over to write with him. So Colbert spent his whole time there writing for "Weekend Update," and he had some high praise for Macdonald.

“I wish I were a good enough comedian to come up with a joke right now about Norm Macdonald having died. But the only comedian I know who could get away with a ‘Norm Macdonald is dead joke,’ is Norm Macdonald,” Colbert said. “And I'm going to miss the fact that there's nobody left on the planet who can do that, and the comedy world is poorer for it today.”

But Colbert had one joke he thought Macdonald would have appreciated.

“So, I hope somewhere up there, or wherever…” Colbert said, letting it trail off as the audience laughed. “He'd figure that joke out.”

Finally, on Late Night With Seth Meyers, Meyers, who helmed the "Weekend Update" desk at SNL like Fallon and Macdonald before him, told what he called his favorite "Weekend Update" joke of all time, saying it’s a “perfect Norm joke.”

“The richest girl in the world, billionaire Athina Onassis celebrated her 10th birthday this week,” Meyers said with a Macdonald-like cadence. “What’s it like to be the richest girl in the world? Well, to give you some idea, at the party they had two cakes.”

JoJo Siwa Claims Nickelodeon is Stopping Her From Performing Her Own Songs During Upcoming Tour!

JoJo Siwa is putting Nickelodeon on blast. On Tuesday (September 14), the 18-year-old performer took to social media to voice her frustration with the entertainment company over her upcoming tour, claiming they are blocking her from performing her own songs.

“I go out on tour in January. My movie musical was just released (with 6 new original songs)” JoJo tweeted. “Nickelodeon told me today that I’m not allowed to perform/add any of the songs from the film into my show. These are MY songs, MY voice, MY writing. Does this seem fair???”

JoJo is set to begin her Nickelodeon’s JoJo Siwa D.R.E.A.M. The Tour on January 13, 2022 after it was postponed twice because of the pandemic. JoJo was planning on performing songs from her recent EPs: 2018′s D.R.E.A.M. The Music and 2019′s Celebrate.

Just a few weeks ago, JoJo released her musical film The J Team on Paramount+. The film was produced by Nickelodeon Films.

“There is no reason that this music should not be included,” JoJo added on Twitter. “Working for a company as a real human being treated as only a brand is fun until it’s not.”

As of right now, Nickelodeon has not publicly addressed JoJo‘s claims.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom beats back GOP-led recall!

California Gov. Gavin Newsom on Tuesday emphatically defeated a recall aimed at kicking him out of office early, a contest the Democrat framed as part of a national battle for his party’s values in the face of the coronavirus pandemic and continued threats from “Trumpism.”

Newsom bolted to a quick victory boosted by healthy turnout in the overwhelmingly Democratic state. He cast it as a win for his handling of the pandemic and liberal issues, and it ensures the nation’s most populous state will remain in Democratic control as a laboratory for progressive policies.

“‘No’ is not the only thing that was expressed tonight,” Newsom said. “I want to focus on what we said ‘yes’ to as a state: We said yes to science, we said yes to vaccines, we said yes to ending this pandemic.”

With an estimated two-thirds of ballots counted, “no” on the question of whether to recall Newsom was ahead by a 30-point margin. That lead was built on votes cast by mail and in advance of Tuesday’s in-person balloting, with a strong showing by Democrats. While likely to shrink somewhat in the days ahead as votes cast at polling places are counted, Newsom’s lead couldn’t be overcome.

Republican talk radio host Larry Elder almost certainly would have replaced Newsom had the recall succeeded, an outcome that would have brought a polar opposite political worldview to Sacramento.

The recall turned on Newsom’s approach to the pandemic, including mask and vaccine mandates, and Democrats cheered the outcome as evidence voters approve of their approach. The race also was a test of whether opposition to former President Donald Trump and his right-wing politics remains a motivating force for Democrats and independents, as the party looks ahead to midterm elections next year.

Republicans had hoped for proof that frustrations over months of pandemic precautions would drive voters away from Democrats. The GOP won back four U.S. House seats last year, success that Republican leaders had hoped indicated revived signs of life in a state controlled by Democrats for more than a decade.

But a recall election is an imperfect barometer — particularly of national trends. Democrats outnumber Republicans nearly 2-to-1 in California, so the results may not translate to governors in toss-up states or reflect how voters will judge members of Congress next year.

Trump, who had largely stayed out of the contest, made unsubstantiated claims that the election was rigged in the closing days, claims echoed by Elder’s campaign. Elder did not mention fraud as he addressed his supporters after the results were in.

“Let’s be gracious in defeat. We may have lost the battle, but we are going to win the war,” he said, later adding that the recall has forced Democrats to focus on issues such as homelessness and California’s high cost of living.

Newsom for months had likened the recall to efforts by Trump and his supporters to overturn the presidential election and a push in Republican-led states to restrict voting access.

“Democracy is not a football, you don’t throw it around. It’s more like — I don’t know — an antique vase,” Newsom said after his win. “You can drop it, smash it into a million different pieces — and that’s what we’re capable of doing if we don’t stand up to meet the moment and push back.”

He became the second governor in U.S. history to defeat a recall, cementing him as a prominent figure in national Democratic politics and preserving his prospects for a future run. Republican Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker survived a recall in 2012.

California voters were asked two questions: Should Newsom be recalled, and, if so, who should replace him? Only a handful of the 46 names on the replacement ballot had public recognition, but most failed to gain traction with voters.

Elder entered the race just two months ago and quickly rose to the top of the pack. But that allowed Newsom to turn the campaign into a choice between the two men, rather than a referendum on his performance.

Newsom seized on Elder’s opposition to the minimum wage and abortion rights as evidence he was outside the mainstream in California. The governor branded him “more extreme than Trump,” while President Joe Biden, who campaigned for Newsom, called him “the closest thing to a Trump clone I’ve ever seen.”

Though the contest didn’t quite bring the circus-like element of California’s 2003 recall — when voters replaced Democratic Gov. Gray Davis with Republican movie star Arnold Schwarzenegger — it featured quirky moments of its own.

Reality TV star and former Olympian Caitlyn Jenner entered the race but gained little momentum and left the state for part of the campaign to film a reality show in Australia. Businessman John Cox, who lost badly to Newsom in 2018, tried to spice up his campaign by hiring a live bear to join him, branding himself as the “beast” to Newsom’s “beauty.”

Newsom will soon be campaigning again; he’s up for reelection next year.

Orrin Heatlie, the Republican who launched the recall effort last year, cast it as a “David and Goliath” battle and said it was telling that Newsom had called on national Democrats like Biden to “salvage his damaged political career.”

The president and other prominent Democrats offered Newsom support in the race’s closing days, while national Republican leaders largely kept the contest at arm’s length.

The recall needed 1.5 million signatures to make the ballot out of California’s 22 million registered voters. It never would have come before voters if a judge hadn’t given organizers four extra months to gather signatures due to the pandemic. That decision came the same day Newsom attended a maskless dinner at the lavish French Laundry restaurant with lobbyists and friends, stirring outcry.

Supporters of the recall expressed frustration over monthslong business closures and restrictions that kept most children out of classrooms. Rising homicides, a homelessness crisis and an unemployment fraud scandal further angered Newsom’s critics.

But the broader public stayed on his side. Polling from the Public Policy Institute of California showed his approval rating remaining above 50% throughout the pandemic. With weeks to go, the institute’s poll showed 60% of Californians approved of Newsom’s handling of the pandemic.

The rise of the highly contagious delta variant led Newsom to frame the race as one of “life or death” consequences. He pointed to Texas and Florida, which were seeing worsening surges as their Republican governors rejected mask and vaccine mandates, as cautionary tales for what California could become.

Newsom has been viewed as a potential White House contender since at least 2004, when he defied federal law to issue marriage licenses to LGBT couples as mayor of San Francisco. His victory maintained those prospects, though he will still have to navigate around the ambitions of Harris, who came up through San Francisco politics alongside Newsom.

He came to the contest with advantages. California’s electorate is less Republican, less white and younger than it was in 2003, when voters booted the Democratic Davis. Newsom was allowed to raise unlimited funds, dwarfing his competitors while flooding TV screens with advertising. Public worker unions and business and tech executives poured millions into his campaign.

Florida Woman Admits to Threats Made Against Kamala Harris: ‘Kamala Harris, You Are Going to Die!

A Florida woman is looking at five years in prison after she admitted to threatening to murder Vice President Kamala Harris.

Ever since Joe Biden and Harris stepped into the White House, a nurse and mother of five named Niviane Petit Phelps, has repeatedly threatened to kill Harris, The Hill reports. In videos she sent to her husband in prison, the woman claimed Harris’ days were numbered and said she was hired to murder her.

“Kamala Harris, you are going to die. Your days are numbered already. Someone paid me $53,000 just to f— you up and I’m gonna take the, I’m gonna do the job, okay,” exclaimed Phelps, who was arrested back in April.

The Washington Post reports that Phelps pleaded guilty to six counts of making threats against Harris on Friday. Her attorney says his client was merely expressing her anger toward Harris in private conversations with her husband.

“[She] was just venting as she was going through a tumultuous time in her life,” the lawyer said. He also mentioned that “it has been important for Ms. Phelps to demonstrate her acceptance of responsibility as she begins to atone for her aberrant actions.”

Kevin Hart & Mark Wahlberg Film Crew Member Suffers Serious Fall On Set, Rushed To The Hospital

Kevin Hart & Mark Wahlberg Film Crew Member Suffers Serious Fall On Set, Rushed To The Hospital

A crew member for Kevin Hart and Mark Wahlberg’s upcoming Netflix film Me Time was rushed to the hospital after suffering a serious fall on set.

According to reports, the unidentified crew member’s injuries were so bad paramedics had to use a defibrillator to get his heart beating again. He also suffered leg and arm fractures after falling roughly 30 feet. He fell from a catwalk that was approximately 60-80 feet in the air. While the crew member’s name hasn’t been released to the public, he is said to be a 38-year-old male.

Insiders with the LAFD said paramedics received a report of a “long fall” at Sunset Gower Studios early Tuesday morning (Sept. 14). When they got to the studio, the crew member didn’t have a pulse and medical staffers on set were giving him CPR. He was said to be in “grave” condition, but it was changed to “critical” after his heartbeat returned.

He was rushed to the hospital and was undergoing treatment at the time of publication. The current status of his condition hasn’t been made public at this time.

Taco Bell Tests New 'Taco Lover's Pass' Subscription Service!

The program is being piloted at more than a dozen Arizona locations.

To further engage core customers, Taco Bell is testing a subscription-based Taco Lover's Pass that gives users access to one taco each day for 30 days.

The offer—which extends until November 24—is available exclusively through the Taco Bell app at more than a dozen stores throughout Arizona. Prices vary from $5 to $10 depending on the customer's location. With the Taco Lover's Pass, customers can choose from seven options, including Crunchy Taco, Crunchy Taco Supreme, Soft Taco, Soft Taco Supreme, Doritos Locos Tacos, Doritos Locos Tacos Supreme, and Spicy Potato Soft Taco.

Gaining much traction as of late, the subscription model has been used to provide differentiating value and to build a strong base of digital customers. Sean Keith, director of new business development at SaaS technology company Eagle Eye, wrote last year that subscription programs are a new way for restaurants to provide a revenue stream that is independent of on-premise sales, incentivize customers to patronize different dayparts and return to locations in urban areas, universally boost customer perception of value, and leverage engagement for better promotions, marketing, and loyalty.

"By having the infrastructure in place to create digital connections, quick-service brands can understand their customers better and create offers and incentives that deliver that value and keep subscriptions active," Kennedy said. "That one-to-one relationship, if managed properly, can shore up revenues through the recovery and well into the new normal."

The most notable subscription program is MyPanera+ Coffee, which rolled out in February 2020. The plan offers unlimited iced and hot coffee and hot tea for $8.99 per month—any size, any flavor, and redeemable every two hours. During the initial February launch, Panera picked up 100,000 signups. After the #FREECOFFEE4SUMMER campaign later that summer, 700,000 people were onboarded in three weeks. Panera told QSR in July 2020 that 75 percent of orders occurred off-premises and that it saw a 25 percent increase in new MyPanera members asking for the deal.

A handful of brands in the better-for-you segment have utilized subscriptions, as well. For example, early in 2021 Coolgreens launched a weekly service that allows customers in Florida to order four salads or wraps for delivery or shipping anywhere within the state for $40 per week. Around the same time, Clean Juice launched a juice cleanse club that includes multiple cleanse programs as well as exclusive educational content, promotions, discounts, and access to their online cleanse community. In June, Urban Plates rolled out a membership program, called Plate Pass, that lowers every menu item to $10 or less for $10 per month. During a pilot run, the company found members saved $42 per month.

In terms of subscriptions being tried in the fast-food sector, Burger King in 2019 attempted a monthly coffee service for $5 per month

Britney Spears Taking “Little Break” From Social Media Following Engagement!

The singer deleted her Instagram account on Tuesday, worrying fans.

Britney Spears is taking a break from social media following her engagement with Sam Asghari.

The singer suddenly deleted her Instagram account on Tuesday which had fans concerned briefly before she tweeted an explanation. “Don’t worry folks … just taking a little break from social media to celebrate my engagement 💍 !!!! I’ll be back soon 💋🌹✨,” she tweeted.

During Spears’ fraught attempts to end her 13-year conservatorship, her Instagram account has been her chief means of communicating with fans, posting updates from the battle directly and thanking her supporters.

Spears also announced her engagement to her long-term boyfriend Asghari on Instagram last Sunday. The 39-year-old singer and the actor-fitness enthusiast, 27, have been dating for four years. They initially met on the set of Spears’ “Slumber Party” music video in 2016, in which he played her love interest. The “Gimme More” singer made her relationship with Asghari Instagram official in 2017 on New Year’s Day.

Teyana Taylor DENIED Entry To Elon Musk’s Met Gala Afterparty!’

Teyana Taylor was reported denied entry into Elon Musk’s Met Ball afterparty, after showing up to the venue with 15 guests — and she was NOT happy about it!

According to a report, Elon Musk hosted one of the hottest afterparties of this year’s biggest fashion event. The Space X founder hosted a stunning group of VIP guests which included Lil’ Nas X, Leo DiCaprio, Lil’ Baby, Chris Rock, Rami Malek, and Nina Agdal.

Shockingly, the guests continued arriving well into the morning with some showing up around 4 a.m. and continuing to party until after 7 a.m.But, one of the biggest moments of the party was when massive music and television star, Teyana Taylor, attempted to get into the big event.

“Teyana Taylor showed up with 15 people and they wouldn’t let them in,” an eyewitness told the New York Post. Of course, “She was pi–ed,” the outlet continued. In the end, it was reported the rapper left the venue with her entire group of guests.

Inside the party, Elon Musk had what is being called “Secret-Service” level security. “He had around 10 guys” surrounding him and there were no cell phones allowed inside the party.

At this point, it’s unclear why Taylor was not allowed inside the party. Plus, it’s not clear if the large group had anything to do with it. Again, it could have just been a terrible mistake. She has not addressed the situation.

Kwame Brown Goes on Rant About Russell Westbrook Wearing a Dress!

Former NBA player Kwame Brown went on a rant about Russell Westbrook’s choice of fashion.

In the now-viral video, he raised concerns about the Lakers star’s sexuality, as well as the NBA’s current “celebrity culture.”

While struggling to pronounce Westbrook’s last name, Brown continued on his rant while using racial slurs.

He said, “There’s two ways you could go. You bite the apple and wear them muthaf***ing dresses like Russell Westbrook or whatever the f**k his name is, I don’t even wanna say his name no more.”

Finally, Brown stressed how “weird” it was for Westbrook to dress in that manner.

He said, “But this ain’t his first time in a dress, so I don’t know why people so alarmed. He’s been wearing dresses and weird a** s**t. … Just cause this n**ga can jump high and play basketball. Not no n**ga I ever grew up and messed around with gonna be walking around in the streets with a dress on and some muthaf***ing boots and keep my respect and say he heterosexual. Now if you gay, cool I don’t give a f**k.  … But when you say you a heterosexual male and that’s what you do, then f**k you and that’s my opinion.”

Recently Brown has become more prominent in recent months, offering commentary on a variety of topics.
