#RHOA: Porsha Williams Wants to 'Share the Real Me' in First Book, The Pursuit of Porsha!
Porsha Williams will be adding "published author" to her resume. The Bravo star hopes to show readers how they can heal from their darkest moments© Kendrick Rahmings The Bravo star hopes to show readers how they can heal from their darkest moments
The Real Housewives of Atlanta and DISH Nation star will release her first book, The Pursuit of Porsha, next year.
In the book, Williams, 39, will tell her intimate life story as she shares difficult memories and private tragic experiences, from secrets buried deep in her childhood to financial woes that have shaped her own experiences as a mother and business owner.

The Atlanta native and granddaughter of late civil rights activist Hosea Williams hopes to show readers how they can heal from their darkest moments — and find strength in them.
"Putting yourself out there in these times can be both a blessing and curse," Williams says in a statement. "I want to share the real me and my story here, including both my trials as well as my many blessings."
"I am more than a soundbite or a headline or a rumor," she continues. "I'm a strong Black woman who has triumphed over adversity and owned every single one of my mistakes. My story is a journey of passion, faith, and discovery."
Williams has been a cast member of Bravo's RHOA since season 5 in 2012.

The reality star is mom to 16-month-old daughter Pilar Jhena with fiancé Dennis McKinley. The couple dated for a year before getting engaged in September 2018, two months after Williams found out she was expecting.
On the most recent season of RHOA, viewers saw the couple working through McKinley's affair while Williams was pregnant. He eventually apologized and took accountability for his infidelity, and Williams even accepted her engagement ring back during a romantic re-proposal.
And fans have watched Williams on the front lines of the Black Lives Matter movement; she was arrested just last week while protesting for Breonna Taylor, a 26-year-old Black woman who was fatally shot by Louisville Metro Police officers inside her home on during a botched "no-knock" search warrant. And in June, she was hit with tear gas during a peaceful protest over  George Floyd's death in Minneapolis police custody.

"It was devastating to feel like I was out there trying to stand with my people, stand with our allies, and help them raise a message of hope and to be silenced and not able to breathe because of the gas bomb that was thrown," she told PEOPLE exclusively at the time.
"Anybody who is out there now and they feel like they can't move forward because of the mistreatment [by] the police and what they're doing to us ... I would say to them, stay focused on the cause," she added.

The Pursuit of Porsha is set to be published in September 2021 by Worthy Publishing, an imprint of Hachette Book Group.

#HipHopNews: Joe Budden Says Logic Should Have Retired A Long Time Ago!
Many rappers part ways with the rap game and Logic is no different. Joe Budden, however, doesn't think Logic's retirement required a public announcement.
On Monday (July 20), Budden shared his thoughts on Logic's retirement announcement made last week on the most recent episode of his Joe Budden Podcast. There, he criticized Logic for announcing his retirement from hip-hop to focus on fatherhood. In the two-hour-long video, Joe made it clear how he felt about the Under Pressure rhymer's choice to leave the game.
"Logic, you don't get to announce this," Budden started. "What the fuck is he talking about? 'Cause we don't care."
As cohosts of the JBP tried to convince Budden that fans would care about a rapper of the "1-800-273-8255" rhymer's caliber retiring, Budden stayed firm in his convictions.

"No, they don't," the rapper said. "They happy that he's leaving. Why you think I got the fucking celebration song queued up, man? Let's celebrate Logic getting the fuck outta here, nigga. You should've retired a long time ago, Logic."
Joe Budden and his podcast cohosts then went on to joke about Logic's forthcoming album, No Pressure, assuming the record would be subpar without even listening to it. Logic's album drops this Friday.
This isn't the first time that Joe Budden has used his Spotify-partnered podcast to take aim at Logic. Back in early October, Budden declared the 30-year-old 2013 XXL Freshman the worst rapper in hip-hop.

"Logic, you are easily one of the worst rappers to ever grace a microphone, I'ma be honest with you," Budden offered. "I don't know what they telling you at Def Jam. I know you sold a lot of records. I know you sell out a whole bunch of tours and I know how successful you are. I have to be honest, you are horrible, man."

Dave Chappelle Goes to visit Kanye West at His Wyoming bunker!
Kanye West is holed up and surrounded by security in a “bunker’’ on his ranch in Wyoming, according to a report Tuesday — while tweeting about visits from people such as comedian Dave Chappelle.
“The world needs a smile. You know, we need some joy,’’ West says in a 1:40 video clip posted to Twitter around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday while standing with Chappelle and three other men against a rustic background.
Chappelle replies, “Brotherhood is real, love is real.’’
When West chides the funnyman for being too serious and not providing him with a joke, Chappelle explains that he’s “still on my first cup of coffee.”
West wrote above the video, “THANK YOU DAVE FOR HOPPING ON A JET TO COME SEE ME DOING WELL DAVE YOU ARE A GOD SEND AND A TRUE FRIEND ALL LOVE”

West’s wife, Kim Kardashian, and her famous reality-TV clan fear that the rapper business mogul-turned-presidential candidate has gone off the rails after his speech at a bizarre campaign rally in South Carolina on Sunday, insiders have told Page Six.
West told the crowd that the couple considered aborting their first child, daughter North, and also trashed famed abolitionist Harriet Tubman.
He tweeted Monday night, “Kim was trying to fly to Wyoming with a doctor to lock me up like on the movie ‘Get Out’ because I cried about saving my daughters life yesterday.“ The flick involves whites taking over black people’s minds.
West added, “NBC locked up Bill Cosby,” referring to the former network superstar now in prison for sexual assault.

West has fled to the couple’s sprawling, multimillion-dollar ranch in Cody because “he’s very paranoid and is convinced he needs ‘protection’ from Kim and [her mom] Kris — even though they’re only trying to help him,” a source told Britain’s The Sun.
“Kanye’s surrounded himself with a small group of people he trusts, and he doesn’t trust Kim or her family,” the source said.
“There’s an underground bunker, a panic room originally built for the family to go to in an emergency, stocked up with food.”
Sources close to Kanye and Kim told Page Six on Tuesday that they don’t know if the marriage can survive West’s latest apparent bipolar episode.

The entire family is standing by him, but “it’s really bad”, an insider said,  adding, “The guy’s having a terrible episode.”
Still, “everyone has such compassion for him right now. Anger is not a motivation.
“The family is trying to work out what to do and hoping that this nightmare will be over soon and they can get Kanye into treatment.”
When Kanye is in good health, he’s “super lovely and connected,” but when he has one of his episodes, “it’s terrible,” the source said.

“The sad thing is that when he recovers, he realizes what he’s done, and he apologizes.”

As part of the deal, Shahidi is forming a production company with her business partner and mother, Keri Shahidi. The company is called 7th Sun. Under the deal, 7th Sun will develop and produce scripted and alternative television projects for cable, streaming and broadcast. The Shahidis have brought on NBCUniversal alum Lajoie St. George to lead development for 7th Sun.
“I’m thrilled to be partnering with my home family, ABC Studios, in this exciting next chapter, alongside my family,” Yara said. “It’s exciting to add our production company to the roster of my peers and mentors who are also actively committed to sharing meaningful stories.”

“We can’t wait to extend and expand our relationship with the incredibly talented Yara Shahidi, who has been a member of the family since ‘black-ish,’” said ABC Studios president Jonnie Davis. “When she’s not studying at Harvard and starring in our series ‘grown-ish,’ she’s mentoring and inspiring other young people, which makes us all feel like underachievers but also very proud that she’s part of our Studio.”

I’ve called her ‘McMogul’ for years and seeing all that she has accomplished should come as no surprise to anyone that knows her. This deal is just the beginning for Yara, and I’m excited to see where she takes this next chapter and the storyteller she becomes.”

The Shahidis are repped by CAA, Principal Entertainment, and attorney Ryan Nord.

Former Gay Adult Actor Dustin Gold is caught on Video Shouting Racial Slur Before Attacking Bystander in Manhattan is FIRED from HELIX Studios!
Authorities are looking into a video in which a man is seen shouting a racial slur before attacking a bystander who captured the tirade on camera.
According to Pink News, the incident occurred Saturday on Manhattan's Upper East Side, where a white man was filmed getting out of his car and screaming at someone off camera. "Hey yo, it would be smart to get out of the middle of the street, asshole. Fucking n****r."
Once he got back inside the vehicle, the man confronted a nearby pedestrian who was filming his abhorrent behavior. "Are you recording me?" the man asks. "Why?"

"Because you're an asshole," the bystander responds.
"I’m an asshole? Honey, look in the mirror, OK?" the man said. "The only person who is an asshole is you for recording."
The man goes on to ask, "Are you gay, too? No, you're not? Well, you look like it."
The pedestrian tells the racist he's going to post the video online. The driver initially acts unfazed, insisting he'll personally "get fans" from it. He goes on to tell the pedestrian to leave before "I beat the shit out of you."

"Please do," the man behind the camera says. "Give it a try. You gonna come out? You gonna fight? What are you gonna do?"
The driver steps out of the car once again, then takes the man's phone before slamming it on the street.
NYC Council candidate Anthony Beckford was among the Twitter users who shared the video, and demanded the driver be held accountable.
Beckford later identified the racist as Justin O'Brian, an adult film actor whose stage name is Dustin Gold.

The viral video has sparked outrage on social media with many condemning his racist behavior. Several members of the LGBTQ community were also quick to disown him as an official member of the LGBTQ community.

“As a gay, we don’t claim him,” wrote one Twitter user, while another commented. “I’m Gay, and I am so angry after seeing this! I hope the offended party presses charges!
“This breaks my heart,” opined a third user. “As a gay man he should know how hard we have fought and continue to fight for our rights and he should be on the right side of history by lifting up black people instead of using racial slurs. I am ashamed of him and I’m ashamed he is part of my community.”

“Dustin Gold” has been fired by Helix Studios.
In response to a flood of tweets calling for his firing, Helix Studios issued the following statement via Tweet on Tuesday: “Dustin Gold has been fired. He hasn’t worked for us since 2014 and we will not use him in the future.”

Tamar Braxton’s 911 Call Reveals She Left Suicide Note & Took Pills!
New details about Tamar Braxton’s alleged suicide attempt are coming to light. The singer and reality TV star was found unresponsive inside the Ritz Carlton Residences in downtown L.A. last week.
A 9-1-1 call from David Adefeso, Tamar Braxton's boyfriend of about a year and a half, reveals the singer had apparently taken an unknown amount of prescription meds while simultaneously drinking alcohol. He found her unresponsive, and reportedly said he believed it was a suicide attempt.
Now, the 9-1-1 call David made has been obtained by TMZ where news of a suicide letter came to light. According to the site, the “Braxton Family Values” star described the network’s leaders as “cruel white slave masters” who were “destroying a great Black family” in the name of show ratings.

"I am a slave. I do not own my life. My stories. My pictures. My thoughts or beliefs,” Tamar reportedly wrote. “I’ve asked my massa to free me. I’m threatened and punished for it. The only way I see out is death. I will choose that before I continue to love (sic) like this. Please help me (praying hands emoji)," she continued.

In the call, David is heard saying, “She’s been drinking and she’s on medication for depression.”
Apparently, the reality star had been taking medication for depression and anxiety.
He continued, “She was very angry earlier on. She’s had trouble with the network, the company she’s working with, and they did something today.”
David is reportedly heard crying and then he shouted, “F**king network.” He basically confirmed the reports that said Tamar has been uber frustrated with WEtv.

NFL Agrees To Conduct Daily COVID-19 Testing For The First 2 Weeks Of Training Camp Following Safety Complaints From Players!
As football season creeps right around the corner with no vaccine in sight, family safety has been a growing concern among players.
On Sunday, NFL players flooded social media with the hashtag #WeWantToPlay, expressing their frustration of putting their family’s health at risk.

Seattle Seahawks Quarterback Russell Wilson tweeted, “I am concerned. My wife is pregnant. @NFL Training camp is about to start. And there’s still No Clear Plan on Player & Family Safety. We want to play football, but we also want to protect our loved ones. #WeWantToPlay.”
On Monday afternoon, the league responded to the players’ cry for answers with a plan to administer daily testing.
The NFL Players Association issued a statement on Twitter addressing the COVID-19 testing procedures.
“Our union has been pushing for the strongest testing, tracing, and treatment protocols to keep our players safe. The testing protocols we agreed to are one critical factor that will help us return to work safely and gives us the best chance to play and finish the season.”

According to USA Today, The NFL and NFLPA settled an agreement to conduct daily COVID-19 testing for players, coaches, and designated staff, such as medical staff, equipment staff, and strength and conditioning staff.
League Chief Medical Officer Dr. Allen Sills confirmed that the league would administer daily testing throughout the first two weeks of training camp. Testing frequency after the first two weeks will depend on the positivity rate.

If the test’s positivity rate stays below 5%, testing will be reduced to every other day, Sills said. If it reaches 5% or higher, daily testing will continue.
Under the new safety guidelines, players will be required to test negative multiple times before participating in team activities.
“We are trying to minimize transmission of virus and mitigate risk of any player contracting the virus,” Sills said. “We know we can’t eliminate risk.”
In addition to testing, teams will require daily temperature screening, symptom monitoring, social distancing, and masks.

“This is not going to feel normal because it’s not going to be normal,” Sills said. “We’ve asked everyone to go through and look at the facility, the layout and the routine of practice through the lens of: ‘What can we do to mitigate risk:'”
In efforts to reduce risks, the NFL will use a proximity tracking device to identify which league member may have come into contact with someone who tested positive. The device is said to perform a “very fine degree of precision,” showing who was exposed to whom and how long.
The league confirmed with its test supplier, BioReference Laboratories, that the testing protocol will not affect public testing availability, Sills stated.

All rookie players are expected to start training camp on Tuesday, and all remaining players will report to their team’s facilities on July 28

Harriet Tubman’s Family Slams Kanye’s Comments: “If It Hadn’t Been For People Like Her, He Would Still Be On That Plantation”!
Kanye West made headlines this week after making some bizarre claims at his presidential campaign rally. “Harriet Tubman never actually freed the slaves. She just had the slaves go work for other white people,” he said.
West’s comments were met with widespread backlash and even earned a response from Tubman’s great-great-great niece, Tina Wyatt, who told TMZ that if it weren’t for Harriet Tubman, Kanye West would still be a slave.

“If we were left alone, we would be in an entirely different place,” Wyatt said. “She was selfless. She was already free. She didn’t have to come back. She didn’t have to risk her life, but she did it countless times.”
“And if it hadn’t been for people like her, he would still be on that plantation. He would not be able to be out there saying the things he says, and he wouldn’t have the money he has because they would have it all.”
Wyatt said that if Tubman were still alive, she would tell the rapper to put his money toward something that will uplift the Black community.

“She would tell him, uplift. I don’t know where he’s putting his money,” Wyatt said. “It seems like he wants to talk about a lot of things, but the thing is, put your money into something that will uplift other people. Him [running for] president is not one of them.”

Serena Williams and Natalie Portman Form Ownership Group For New Los Angeles Women’s Soccer Team!
A new women’s soccer team is coming to Los Angeles, owned by a group of famous women, including Natalie Portman and Serena Williams.
On Tuesday, the National Women’s Soccer League announced the group was awarded the rights to form a soccer franchise in the city.
Along with Portman, who spearheaded the campaign, the group of founders – who are majority women – include Serena Williams, actresses Uzo Aduba, America Ferrera, Jennifer Garner, Eva Longoria and soccer players Mia Hamm and Abby Wambach.

“We started going to games, and we quickly became really passionate fans of the sport,” Portman tells PEOPLE. “But we slowly started seeing that it wasn’t getting the celebration it deserved.”
“We just started thinking about what if there was a team in L.A.? We’re the center of entertainment in this country for media,” Portman said. “What can we do to change the way people are paying attention to this sport? Obviously, the players themselves have been incredible and have brought so much attention, but everything hasn’t always followed their success and their popularity.”

Serena’s husband, Alexis Ohanian, is the lead investor of the group of owners who have yet to announce the new team’s name.
“We started gathering a group of incredible people, majority women, to be in our ownership group. Now we’re going, and it’s really, really exciting,” Portman said.

The team name is expected to be announced later this year, but it is currently referred to as WFC LA/Angel City.
