Selena Gomez for Interview Magazine!
Selena Gomez covers the spring 2020 issue of Interview magazine photographed by Eli Russell Linnetz and styled by Mel Ottenberg.
Here are some excerpts from the interview!
On so many people watching all the personal parts of her life: “My intention was never to become a tabloid. So when things kind of happened that way, it got out of control. And then I was like, ‘Wait, none of this is true.’ The way the media has sometimes tried to explain things has made it sound really bad, when in reality there’s nothing wrong with the fact that I needed to go away or that I fell in love. I had to start opening up because people were taking away my narrative and it was killing me. I’m so young and I’m going to keep changing, and no one has the right to tell me how my life’s going.”
On helping a lot of people, especially younger people, with understanding their own mental health issues: “I don’t know if that was ever meant to be my role, but I love people. I care, a lot. I’ve gone through a lot of medical issues, and I know that I can reach people who are going through similarly scary things—an organ transplant, or being on dialysis, or going away for treatment. A huge part of why I have a platform is to help people. That’s why I think I’m okay with the magnitude. I mean, I’m not really okay with it—but I’m going to say that I am because it’s worth it. I know that I’m making someone somewhere feel good, or feel understood or heard, and that’s worth it for me.”

#RIP: Legendary Actor Brian Dennehy DEAD at 81!
Brian Dennehy, a versatile character actor whose career spanned five decades, has died at the age of 81. He died from natural causes, his daughter announced on Twitter.
“It is with heavy hearts we announce that our father, Brian passed away last night from natural causes, not Covid-related,” actress Elizabeth Dennehy wrote Thursday. "Larger than life, generous to a fault, a proud and devoted father and grandfather, he will be missed by his wife Jennifer, family and many friends.”
Born in Bridgeport, Conn., Dennehy later moved to Mineola, L.I., then attended Columbia University, where he played college football. After graduating, he worked as a stockbroker for Merrill Lynch before getting into acting, where he was a tremendous presence on stage and screen.
“Just devastated to learn that the magnificent Brian Dennehy has died," tweeted Mia Farrow, who shared a Broadway stage with him in 2014. “(There) is no one i enjoyed working with more. And there are few friends as valued in my life. I took this photo backstage when we were in ‘Love Letters.’ He loved my pup Bowie.”
Dennehy kicked off his on-screen career during the late 1970s as a television actor, appearing on shows such as “M*A*S*H” and “Dallas” early on.
It wasn’t long before Dennehy started to rack up memorable film roles, with his breakthrough performance coming in 1982′s classic action flick “First Blood” as Will Teasle, the sheriff who tries to track down Sylvester Stallone’s John Rambo.
Dennehy would go on to portray the Antarean alien leader, Walter, in 1985′s “Cocoon;” star opposite Harrison Ford in the 1990 legal drama “Presumed Innocent;" and play the father of Chris Farley’s titular character in the seminal 1995 comedy “Tommy Boy.”
Other significant films that Dennehy took part in include “Gorky Park” in 1983, “Silverado" in 1985 and 1996′s “Romeo + Juliet,” in which he played the father of Romeo, portrayed by Leonardo DiCaprio.
Dennehy won a Golden Globe in 2000 for his performance as Willy Loman in the TV movie of “Death of a Salesman" based on the famed stage play.
He was also a six-time Emmy nominee, including two nods for best lead actor in a TV movie or miniseries for “To Catch a Killer” (1992) and “Death of a Salesman” (2000).
Both of his Tony wins came for best lead actor in a play — first in 1999 for “Death of a Salesman,” then in 2003 for “Long Day’s Journey into Night.”
Dennehy continued acting into his later years, including roles in the 2015 movie “Knights of Cup” and on the NBC crime thriller series “The Blacklist” between 2016 and 2019.

OH MY! What’s The Tea HERE? Was Brandi Glanville Ever in Love With Denise Richards?
Brandi Glanville shared a number of tweets about her alleged hookups with Denise Richards on Twitter after Wednesday night’s episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
After the allegations she reportedly made against Denise were teased during the final moments of the premiere episode, Brandi responded to a couple of fans who mentioned her rumored affair with Denise and revealed if she was ever “in love” with her castmate.
“Then why did you e*t her if you got these problems?” a man asked Brandi after seeing that she had called Denise out for her poor treatment of a waiter on Wednesday’s show.
“You will see what happened after and maybe understand,” Brandi replied.
In another tweet, which came after a follower of Brandi’s suggested she pretended to be in love with Denise for the sake of landing a role on RHOBH season 10, Brandi said she was “never in love” with her co-star.
“[I’m] not in love with anyone but my 2 children,” she clarified. “I was never in love with Denise I never said that or implied that.”
As Brandi continued to speak about Denise, another one of her online audience members begged her to “spill the tea” while including a screenshot of an article in which it was noted that Denise had quit filming RHOBH after her alleged affair with Brandi was exposed.
“I think stopping filming spilled the tea,” Brandi responded, suggesting that Denise’s absence was an admission of guilt.
Brandi then responded to a man who asked, “How is Denise in bed?”
However, because she has been sent a letter of cease and desist, which was confirmed in the season 10 trailer, she didn’t reveal any details.
“I have been sent a legal STFU,” she explained.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 10 airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on Bravo.
#RHOA: NeNe Denies That Her Gregg Leakes Marriage Is Open Despite Those Cheating Claims!
Remember all that hoopla over NeNe’s marriage that included Gregg Leakes having “inappropriate conversations” with NeNe’s ex-employee and allegations that NeNe had a secret sideman? Well, that lead people to run rampant with rumors that the Leakes were in an open marriage, especially when NeNe added; “We’re gonna stay married regardless” despite the allegations.
According to NeNe, however, their marriage is FAR from open and she broke it down to Extra TV noting that she and Gregg are happy and are still “doing a lot in the bedroom.”
Thank you for sharing that, NeNe.
“No, it is not [open]” she told Extra’s Billy Bush. I think the reason that people think that is first of all there is an age difference between Gregg and I… I have been with Gregg since I was 28 years old. He was young and I was young so now they think that since he has gotten older are they doing anything in the bedroom. The answer is, we’re doing a lot in the bedroom.”
NeNe added to Extra that she is in the entertainment business and you will see her out to dinner with men and she likes to flirt. This could very well be her explanation for those rumors about her being spotted in Maryland with her alleged secret sideman.
“I am a flirt and my husband knows that… I am not sleeping with these men, and my husband is very much okay with that.”
Married men, are you okay with your wife innocently flirting with other people?
She also spoke on the forthcoming virtual RHOA reunion…
“This year’s reunion set to happen virtually because of the COVID-19 outbreak.” Leakes said, “I think we’re gonna have real cameras and lighting… They’re gonna do their best to make it as great as possible. I mean we really have no other choice here we have to practice social distancing so this is the best that we can do.”
and said she has no plans to make up with Kenya Moore. On the forthcoming episode of RHOA, viewers will see NeNe and Kenya argue (again), this time at Kandi’s baby shower.
“I’m not going to make up with Kenya no time soon,” said NeNe. I’m not gonna beef with Kenya either, I’m just gonna walk past her like she is invisible.” She went on, “I don’t dislike her, I have never disliked her. We just don’t always see eye to eye, which is fair and is okay. We’re two different people… I’m not in the business of making drama with people, she is.”
#Empire: Did Jussie Smollett Have a 'Sexual Relationship' With Alleged Attacker at Chicago Bathhouse!
Jussie Smollett was allegedly already “more than friends” with alleged attacker Ambimbola “Abel” Osundairo, according to a new report from Page Six on Tuesday (April 14).
The 37-year-old Empire star reportedly visited an upscale Chicago bathhouse and had a “sexual relationship” with Abel.
“They used to party together and he had a sexual relationship with [Abel]. They went to this affluent Chicago bathhouse multiple times and they had to show ID. It’s known as a bathhouse where a lot of affluent black gay men hang out. There should be a record [of their visits],” an insider told the publication, adding that the bathhouse records could be subpoenaed amid the ongoing investigation into his alleged falsifying of a hate crime, to which he’s pleaded not guilty.
Abel and his brother, Ola, have denied that they are gay and sued Jussie‘s lawyers for defamation after alleging there was a sexual relationship, claiming that comments put their family at risk due to their Nigerian background, where the country’s laws make homosexuality punishable by prison or even death.
“We have sat back and watched lie after lie being fabricated about us in the media only so one big lie can continue to have life. These lies are destroying our character and our reputation in our personal and professional lives,” their attorney, Gloria Schmidt, said in a statement the time.
A judge later dismissed the defamation suit.

The new single is called “What I Need (Give Me What I Need)” and contains all of the elements of a classic Kelly Price record. From soul stirring vocals, to touching lyrics, to moving production, this has all of the makings of a new anthem.
It has been nearly six years since the last Kelly Price album “Sing Pray Love, Vol. 1: Sing” in 2014. We had rated that album very highly following its release and had been anticipating more volumes but none have arrived.

#HipHipNews: Pop Smoke Album And Documentary In The Works!
A documentary on the late Pop Smoke is in the works. In an interview with Complex, Pop Smoke’s manager Steven Victor shared plans for the project as well as a posthumous album. “I’m working really, really hard on this Pop Smoke album. And I’m working on a documentary for him, too. And his foundation,” he said.
In his final editorial interview, conducted two weeks before his tragic passing on Feb. 19, the 20-year-old MC shed light on the documentary, which centers on the Brooklyn drill scene and how he was unfairly targeted by police.
“I’m gonna put out a movie or a documentary. I’m gonna make that shit about me. Walk ’em through where I used to live, where I used to be at, and why they look at me the way they look,” he said. “I’m gonna show you why they don’t like that–what they don’t like. Let’s see if you have the same feedback that they have. Let’s see if you would want me to be banned and want me to not perform. I doubt you will. All this good music being recorded, and you want to put it on hold? You don’t want people to hear it?”
In March, 50 Cent announced plans to executive produce Pop Smoke’s posthumous album, while calling on big names like Drake, Post Malone, Roddy Ricch, and Chris Brown for help. Complex heard some of Pop’s unreleased material when they interviewed him and described the music as “R&B-leaning songs,” including one that samples Tamia’s “So Into You.”
“I got a love song coming out. I’ll be talking more to the ladies in 2020,” said Pop. “I gotta feed them, too. I don’t wanna make songs for ni**as all the time. There’s no money in that. You think I wanna go to the show and see a thousand ni**as? I might as well be in jail.”
Pop, who released his mixtape Meet the Woo 2 in February, was also working on a joint mixtape with Quavo called Huncho Woo at the time of his death. They had completed nine songs, but it’s unclear if the project will see the light of day.
Pop Smoke was shot and killed during a home invasion at a house in the Hollywood Hills. The investigation into his murder is ongoing.
Steph’s Wife Ayesha Curry Hit With $10 Million Lawsuit!
Ayesha Curry is reportedly facing a lawsuit after a known branding company decided to sue the food personality for allegedly breaching their contract together.
The entrepreneuring wife and wife if NBA Star Steph Curry is known for branding herself in a variety of different business ventures including landing her very own Food Network show, while also hosting a role on ABC’s “Great American Baking Show.”
After working with Ayesha Curry for the past 5 years, Flutie Entertainment, has filed a lawsuit against the mother-of-three, citing “significant and unprecedented results,” as their reasoning.
In response to the lawsuit, Ayesha Curry’s lawyer, Michael Plonsker says:
“Ayesha Curry terminated her business relationship with disgruntled manager Robert Flutie in early 2019”
“We are confident that the legal process will find his accusations nonsensical and completely unfounded.”
Acknowledging the role they played in Ayesha’s rising fame, Flutie Entertainment stated in their suit that they contribute to her success as she was mainly known only as the wife of NBA player Steph Curry beforehand. They affirm that before Ayesha parted ways with Flutie Entertainment, the company had done a large number of work with developing sponsors, partnerships, and legal and financial framework for one of Ayesha’s business, Homemade. In response, the company believes Ayesha parted ways to deny them their fair share of money.
The company is now seeking a minimum of $10 million from the defendant, as well as a guaranteed stake in two of Ayesha’s businesses, Homemade and Yardie Girl.
Ayesha Curry has yet to make an official statement on the lawsuit.
Kanye West will cast his first presidential vote ever for Donald Trump!
After admitting that he’s never voted before, musician Kanye West is certain that he’ll be casting his first ballot in the 2020 presidential election for none other than 45 himself, President Donald Trump.
In a new GQ cover story, the “Jesus Is King” artist, 42, said that he won’t allow his past fear of criticism keep him from casting his vote this time around.
“I will not be told who I’m gonna vote on because of my color,” West told the magazine. “I’m definitely voting this time. And we know who I’m voting on.”
He added, “Both my parents were freedom fighters, and they used to drink from fountains they were told they couldn’t drink from, and they used to sit in restaurants where they were told they couldn’t eat from. They didn’t fight for me to be told by white people which white person I can vote on.”
The rapper went on to respond to those who thought his career would crash-and-burn after coming out as a Trump supporter.
“I’m not going to be told by the people around me and the people that have their agenda that my career is going to be over. Because guess what: I’m still here! ‘Jesus Is King’ was No. 1!”
“I was told my career would end if I wasn’t with [Hillary Clinton],” he continued. “What kind of campaign is that, anyway? That’s like if Obama’s campaign was ‘I’m with black.’ What’s the point of being a celebrity if you can’t have an opinion? Everybody make their own opinion! You know?”
West most recently spoke of his admiration for Trump to the Wall Street Journal, telling the magazine that he refuses to vote Democrat simply because it is expected of him as a black man.
“I’m a black guy with a red [MAGA] hat, can you imagine?” West told WSJ. “It reminded me of how I felt as a black guy before I was famous, when I would walk in a restaurant and people would look at you like you were going to steal something. ‘This is your place, Ye, don’t talk about apparel. This is your place, Ye, you’re black, so you’re a Democrat.’”
The “Yeezy” founder came out in support of Trump in 2018, calling the leader his “brother.” The pair famously met at the White House in October of the same year to discuss prison reform, mental health and racism in the US.
“You don’t have to agree with trump but the mob can’t make me not love him,” Kanye tweeted. “We are both dragon energy. He is my brother. I love everyone. I don’t agree with everything anyone does. That’s what makes us individuals. And we have the right to independent thought.”
Last summer, West told talk show host David Letterman that he “never voted in my life.”
Rihanna Sent Ventilator To Dad After He Tested Positive For Coronavirus!
Rihanna‘s father Ronald Fenty tested positive for coronavirus in his home country of Barbados but has now beat COVID-19 thanks to the superstar’s help.
“My daughter Robyn was checking in on me every day,” Fenty, 66, recently shared with The Sun. “I thought I was going to die to be honest. I have to say, I love you so much, Robyn. She did so much for me. I appreciate everything she has done.”
According to her father, the Fenty Beauty founder sent a ventilator to his Caribbean home and gave him “more than enough” to battle the illness that left him feeling weak and frightened for his life.
“I got a fever up inside of my nose. I had a fever across my lips. It was just a lot of fever,” Fenty revealed. “I feared the worst. I thought I was going to die, honestly.”
Two weeks after being quarantined at the Paragon Isolation Center, Fenty was declared virus-free. He is now resting in his St. James home.
“I want everybody to stay home. This is a serious situation,” Fenty asked of the public. “More serious than people realize. Please stay home.”
Rihanna is also using her time and money to help those globally affected by the virus, donating $5 million to the cause via her Clara Lionel Foundation. She and Jay-Z also teamed up to donate $1 million each to those affected in Los Angeles and New York. Twitter boss Jack Dorsey is also collaborating with the “Work” singer to help domestic abuse survivors who may have been displaced during the coronavirus pandemic.
RIP Sweet Sable 90s R&B and House music singer Ceybil 'Sweet Sable' Jefferies has died At 58!
90s R&B and House music singer Ceybil 'Sweet Sable' Jefferies has died after short battle with COVID19...
Born Sybil Jefferies, the Brooklyn native's death was confirmed by Family and some friends on social media on Friday (April 10). Jefferies was signed to Atlantic Records in the 90s and made a name for herself as a powerful vocalist in house music with the release of her debut album Let Music Take Control in 1991. Her breakout single "So Special" was a bonafide hit as well as "Open Your Heart" which landed in the Top 20 of Billboard's Dance Clubs Chart the same year.
Reinvention was something Jefferies engaged frequently as she changed her stage name several times. In an effort not to be confused with other vocalists like "Don't Make Me Over" singer Sybil, Jefferies toyed with her stage name and released singles from her album under monikers like Ceybil, Sybil Jefferies (her government name) and Ceybil Jeffries (without the second "e").
After the release of "Open Your Heart," Jefferies parted with Atlantic in 1993 and signed a deal with Scotti Brothers label as Sable Jefferies. Her first single "Friends (For Old Time Sake)" was largely removed from her house roots and planted in New Jack Swing.
As a fan page pointed out, her image also changed with the times as she sported a more laid back tomboy aura made popular by artists like Xscape, TLC and the late singer Aaliyah. It also seemed to work in her favor. "Friends (For Old Time Sake)" was renamed "Old Times' Sake" and placed on the Above The Rim soundtrack in 1994. Her new moniker Sweet Sable was also introduced to the masses.
"Old Times' Sake" reached No. 15 on the Billboard R&B Charts and also found success on the Billboard's Bubbling Under Hot 100 Chart at No. 2 after Doug E. Fresh's "Freaks."
While working with both Street Life Records and Scotti Brothers, she released the album, Old Times Sake with other supporting singles like "Tonight" and "Love Thang"–both charting on the Billboard R&B charts. "Love Thang" was also a hit on the defunct Hot Dance Breakdowns Chart beating Usher's "Think Of You" for the top spot. Her new music was an early indicator of R&B's perfect marriage with hip-hop and would go on to inspire the format of R&B artists collaborating with hip-hop acts to this day. She would also work alongside future icons like the late Guru and MC Lyte.
She didn't completely abandon her house days as she teamed up with Dutch artists Deep House Zone for "It's Gonna Be Alright" under her old moniker Ceybil Jefferies. The 1996 track brought her back to the Hot Dance Play chart at No. 20.
Refusing to keep herself in a box, Jefferies released two versions of "I'll Never Go Back," in 1996. One was a sultry R&B slow jam and the other, a harmonious ballad. Sadly, her third album Love On My Mind was shelved.
Jefferies continued to release music into the 2000s but her health began to decline. She was diagnosed with neurosarcoidosis, an inflammatory disease that affects multiple organs in the body, but mostly the lungs making it difficult to breathe. Jefferies also lost her vision to the disease.
In an unearthed video from Video Music Box in August 2012, her family held a fundraiser to help with medical bills but also to celebrate her music. At the event, Jefferies sang to fans, inspiring others and her family. "Her vision might be gone, but her spirits are so high," her sister Angie told Video Music Box.
"She always has an encouraging word to say to somebody and our mother raised us that way. It's not over till it's over. We believe that God is the greatest power and we will not be defeated by anything that happens in our life."
While her career was short, Sweet Sable left an impact on house and R&B music with her standout vocals and versatility.
RIP Sweet Sable!

Presidential Candidate Joe Biden Receives An Democratic Endorsement From Elizabeth Warren!
Massachusetts Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren throws her name behind Joe Biden in the latest string of endorsements for Biden’s 2020 presidential bid.
Warren said in a video, ”empathy matters,” adding, ”and in this moment of crisis, it is more important than ever that the next president restores Americans’ faith in good effective government.”
Warren suspended her presidential campaign, March 5 after failing to have a successful Super Tuesday. Both Sanders and Warren have had some disagreements on Biden’s stance with universal health coverage, but Warren noted that Biden is willing to compromise on issues.
Warren said Biden has, “shown throughout this campaign that when you come up with new facts or a good argument, he’s not too afraid or too proud to be persuaded.”
During the early portion of their presidential campaign, Biden and Warren went head to head with one another.
Warren, who refused to have high-dollar fundraising events, criticized Biden’ss campaign for having them. Biden referred to Warren’s Medicare for All as being ”vague,” because it lacked information on if the middle-class taxes would be raised to fund it.
As she continued, Warren recalled being sworn in as U.S Senator by Biden as he was serving as Vice-President in 2013, and being told by Biden, “you gave me hell! And you’re going to do a great job.” She added, ”that’s the thing about Joe. He wants you in the fight with him.”

YNW Melly Confirmed To Remain In Prison Despite COVID-19 Diagnosis!
Although YNW Melly and his team have been hoping for the rapper’s early release from prison due to his COVID-19 diagnosis, Melly’s request was officially denied by a judge on Tuesday. Despite his health condition, Melly will reportedly remain in Florida’s Broward County Jail, according to new legal docs from TMZ.
The judge states that Melly can request assistance from the Broward Sheriff’s Office if he needs special medical treatment; Melly and his team previously said they would cover all medical expenses if the rapper was allowed to leave early. The rapper’s team also claims that Melly is in danger of dying as the jail has not provided proper care and protection. Meanwhile, the families of the alleged victims got what they wished for as they opposed Melly’s early release.
Melly has been in jail for over one year and is currently awaiting a double-murder trial for the murder of two friends. He was arrested and charged for the crime in early 2019.
Cardi B and Bernie Sanders CHOPS it up On Instagram Live!
“The thing is, honey, you don’t need the Democrats to make you look bad, you make your own self look bad,” the rapper said of Trump’s habit of blaming others.
It’s safe to say that Sen. Bernie Sanders and his superfan Cardi B do not like President Donald Trump.
Or at least that was the main takeaway from the very fiery conversation the musician and her “Uncle Bernie” had on Instagram Live Thursday night, in which both were extremely critical of the commander-in-chief’s response to the coronavirus pandemic.
WATCH
The “Bodak Yellow” rapper wouldn’t even call Trump by his name and instead referred to him as “45” (he’s the 45th president). She began by slamming Trump and many of his high-profile supporters for initially trying to downplay the threat of the looming pandemic by claiming that Democrats were just using health crisis to hurt his reelection chances.
Donald Trump Jr., the president’s eldest son, in late February said on “Fox & Friends” that Democrats hoped millions of Americans would die so “they can end Donald Trump’s streak of winning.” In early March, Fox News’ Sean Hannity echoed that theory on his radio show, saying that the media and Democrats were “politicizing” and “weaponizing” the spread of the virus “to bludgeon” Trump.
The president himself went so far as to blame his predecessor, former President Barack Obama, in late March for his administration’s slow response to the pandemic by saying it inherited a “broken, obsolete system” for testing for a disease that did not exist until last year.
Cardi B said these tactics used by Trump and his allies “baffled my mental.”
“The thing is, honey, you don’t need the Democrats to make you look bad,” she said of Trump and his supporters. “You make your own self look bad.”
Cardi B also slammed Trump’s treatment of the media during his press briefings, saying the president has had plenty of opportunities to make himself look like “he actually cares” when answering journalists’ questions. But instead he “shushed them off or degrades” reporters.
Sanders detailed other shortcomings in Trump’s early responses to the outbreak, which included ignoring scientists and opting not to use the Defense Production Act “to tell private companies that instead of producing underwear right now or socks they got to start producing masks and ventilators.”
“He didn’t do any of that,” said Sanders, who ended his bid for the Democratic presidential nomination earlier this month and has endorsed the presumptive nominee, Joe Biden.
The Vermont independent also broke down why he thinks people should vote for Joe Biden this year as he offered a scathing analysis of Trump’s character.
“Donald Trump is to my mind the most dangerous president in the modern history of America,” Sanders said. “This is a guy who lies all the time, he doesn’t believe in science, he downplayed this whole coronavirus, which has led to the deaths of many thousands of people dying unnecessarily.”
He added: “He doesn’t believe in the Constitution, he thinks he’s above the law. So this is a bad-news guy that has got to be defeated and I will do everything that I can to defeat him.”
