Demi Lovato is Rocking the pages of Harper’s Bazaar Magazine!
Demi Lovato covers the May 2020 issue of Harper’s Bazaar magazine photographed by Alexi Lubomirski.
Here are some excerpst from the
On events in her life over the past two years inspiring her new music: “I would hate for a detail to become the headline when I’ve worked so hard for my music. But I will say that I’ve really appreciated the patience the public has given me over the past year and a half to figure my shit out, because I think the mistake I made when I was 18, when I went into treatment, was that I went back to work six months later. But at the same time I’ve also sat back on the sidelines for two years. I’ve kept my mouth shut, while the tabloids have run wild. And my album is finally the place where I get to set the record straight on everything.”
On the supportive messages she received when hospitalized in 2018: “It’s hard when you’re in a moment like that because you don’t feel worthy of it. But looking back, I understand that I was just someone going through something, and people were really supportive and were there for me, and it meant everything…It also kind of made it a little challenging because I did deal with that in the public eye—that was the way some people found out. I had relatives who got alerts on their phones. We didn’t even get to call them before they saw what happened.”

On her ex-boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama: “I’m really happy for him and I wish him nothing but the best, but we’re not in each other’s lives, haven’t spoken in a long time. But I think I needed that because I needed to learn to be okay on my own. When you get into a relationship with somebody at that young of an age and then you spend six years with somebody, you don’t really get to learn about yourself.”

On settling down with someone someday: “When I imagine my life in the future, I don’t say, ‘I’m looking for a man who I want to have two or three kids with.’ I think it could be so much fun to share children with a woman … So I don’t know what my future will look like, and I’m open to anything. People always ask me, ‘What’s your type?’ And I’m like, ‘Have you seen my history?’ There is no type. It is solely off connection. I wish I could say, ‘I only date attractive people.’ But I don’t,” she says, laughing.
On how her set list may change if she tours again: “There is one song I’ll probably never perform again, that was actually one of my hits, because of something that happened during my overdose. If you have a song called ‘Broken Leg,’ and you went and broke your leg, you’re not going to want to sing that song ever again, probably.”

On who she still stays in touch with from her Disney days: “I talk to Miley [Cyrus]. She’s awesome, and I love her to death and always will, always have. But I think she’s kind of the only one from that era that I still stay in touch with.”

On her friendship with fellow artist Ariana Grande: “I love the fact that Ariana and I have such a supportive friendship because it’s hard to find. Two women who are in a competitive industry—the whole world seems to want to pit women against each other, so it would be so easy to do that.”

Friend and Singer Sam Smith on Demi: “I feel like everyone knows Demi because she’s so open. I am enamored by her strength and willingness to tell her story, and also her openness about still not being perfect and still learning in front of everyone.”

#RHOA: Eva Marcille Celebrates Son Mikey's 2nd Birthday with a Beautiful Birthday Cake!
Eva Marcille and her family are always finding ways to celebrate special moments, even amid self-quarantine. On Easter, The Real Housewives of Atlanta model and her gang got all dolled up in their Sunday best, and posed for a sweet family photo in their living room. And after that, they busted out the cake plates for yet another special occasion.

To celebrate her son Mikey's second birthday, Eva wrangled a decadent dessert. The sheet cake was covered in white frosting and had blue sprinkles along its sides; it also had bursts of frosting in varying shades of blue along the top. There was also a personalized message for the birthday boy, and a candle shaped like the number two.
The cake was well-received. In a video that showed Mikey seated in his high chair as he eagerly bit into his dessert, Eva's husband Michael can be heard saying: "What does Mikey want?" Mikey responds matter-of-factly: "Cake." Well, his dad had good news for him: "It's your birthday, buddy, you can have as much cake as you want."

That's a happy birthday, indeed.

#Empire May Get a 'Proper' Series Finale Despite Production Shutdown, EPs Hopeful 'This Isn't the End'!
Empire may strike back next season to give fans closure.
As previously reported, production on the Fox drama’s sixth and final season ground to a halt last month while the show was shooting Episode 19 of its 20-episode order. Consequently, Episode 18 — airing April 21 — will now serve as the show’s swan song.

However, series co-creators Lee Daniels and Danny Strong released separate statements late Tuesday — ahead of Empire‘s penultimate episode — expressing hope that a true series finale will see the light of day after the COVID-19 crisis ends.

“We had an ending for the series planned that we all loved, and hopefully someday we’ll be able to film it and give the series its proper conclusion,” said Strong. “Here’s hoping this isn’t the end!”
Daniels, meanwhile, called Empire‘s six-year run “one of the proudest achievements of my career, adding, “This show is the definition of breaking barriers.
“I think there’s more to do with these characters, and I’m heartbroken we aren’t getting to shoot the finale we wanted — at least not yet,” Daniels continued. “But you know what they say in television? Stay tuned!”

Net week’s episode, which Strong confirmed “was never meant to be the series finale” but will likely “be the last one our fans will see for a while,” is titled “Home Is On the Way.” Per the official episode description, “In the midst of the Bossyfest launch and the fight to regain control of Empire, Cookie reflects on her life and the woman she has become. Lucious finds it impossible to deny his feelings for Cookie, while continuing to support Yana (guest star Kiandra Richardson) and her rise to stardom. When the Lyons face their biggest threat yet, Lucious prepares for the battle of his life and realizes that in the end, family is what matters the most.”

Ciara And Russell Wilson Did A Gender Reveal For Baby No. 3!
Ciara and Russell Wilson pulled off a great Instagram-made gender reveal for their second child (and Ciara's third) from quarantine. "Gender Reveal!! What’s it gong to be @DangeRussWilson ?!! Aaaaaah!!! ‪πŸ’ƒπŸ½❤🍼," Ciara captioned the video of the couple with their children. Ciara and Wilson released confetti and blue powder, revealing they will be having a baby boy.

This will be Ciara's first son with Wilson. It will be her second baby boy; the singer welcomed five-year-old Future Jr. with her ex-boyfriend Future in May 2014.
In the gender reveal video, Ciara asked each of her children whether they wanted a little sister or brother more. Future Jr. really wanted a brother, while two-year-old Sienna was quieter about her preference. Ciara said she just wanted "whatever God has for us." The family was ecstatic to be expecting a son though, post-reveal. Ciara even did a happy dance.

The gender reveal Instagram comes about three months after Ciara revealed her pregnancy on the 'gram. "Number 3," she captioned the photo of herself, tagging her husband Russell Wilson.
Ciara has been open about her and Wilson's hopes for having lots of kids. The singer spoke in November about how her husband wants a big family, and she's up for it too. “If you ask [Russell], we’re talking eight babies,” she told Extra of their family plans, via Page Six. “We’ll just go one day at a time, but I definitely do look forward to having more kids…We got time for that.”

McDonald’s Apologizes For Banning Black People From Its Restaurant in China!
McDonald’s is apologizing after a sign was displayed on the door of one of their locations in China, saying, “We’ve been informed that from now on, black people are not allowed to enter the restaurant.”

Photos and videos of the sign in Guangzhou, China, caused outrage as they circulated on social media.
The sign has been removed, and McDonald’s has since shut down the location, saying in a statement that the sign is “not representative of our inclusive values.”
McDonald’s said it temporarily closed the store to “further educate managers and employees on our values, which includes serving all members of the communities in which we operate.”

This is just the latest racial tension between Africans and locals in the city of Guangzhou, which has the largest African community in China, amid the coronavirus pandemic. In fact, according to CNN, Africans in the city have been evicted from their homes and turned away from hotels due to fears of spreading the virus.

Nicki Minaj Is Still Married, Despite Instagram Name Change!
Aftr marrying in October, Nicki Minaj changed all of her social media handles to “Mrs. Petty,” in recognition of husband Kenneth Petty. But the star recently changed her Instagram name to “Barbie” and her Twitter name to “YIKES,” after her latest single, a subtle move that was nevertheless enough to lead fans to believe her and Petty had split.

However, sources close to the Queens native confirm the Pettys are doing just fine.
“Nicki Minaj is still with her man,” a source close to the artist confirms to Page Six. “It’s just business as usual for her highness as she prepares to release new music.”
One person who might be pleased with the change is Wendy Williams, who took to the airwaves last month with a scathing critique of the rapper for marrying Petty, bringing up his rap sheet as evidence. (While a teen, Petty was convicted of the attempted rape of a 16-year-old girl. He also pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter in March 2006, serving seven years of his 10-year sentence, and most recently, was arrested for not registering as a sex offender in California.)

“You should’ve never married him,” Williams said, “because now you’ve ruined everything about what your brand could be, again. You’re never gonna stand a chance when you’re with a man who pulls a knife at rape point … a molester … a registered sex offender. You’re never going to stand a chance with John Q. Public. Because there’s only one thing worse than touching children and pulling knives, and that’s murder. By the way, he did go to jail for manslaughter.”

Bhad Bhabie Accuses Lil Kim Of Trying To Look ‘White’!
American rapper Bhad Bhabie, born Danielle Bregoli, seems to be making headlines. The 17-year-old musical artist is in the hot seat yet again after comments she made regarding speculations of her wanting to be black. As we previously reported, Bhad Bhabie has recently switched up her look and has been rocking what some might consider a darker skin shade than what we’re used to seeing on her.
Since then, some have accused the young celebrity of ‘blackfishing’, a term that is used to describe an individual changing their appearance to seem more ethnic or black. Bhad Bhabie didn’t take to kindly to the criticism she received over her new appearance and defended her recent physical changes during her Instagram live stream:

“[I] wanna be black wearing foundation. Wearing a darker foundation. Lil Kim wears a f*cking foundation – and no disrespect towards Lil Kim. I’m actually a fan of hers. No disrespect towards her but the girl wears foundation that’s too light for her face,” Bhad Bhabie said.
In addition to speaking about Lil Kim’s complexion, Bhad Bhabie also said that the Grammy-Award winning hip-hop artist changed her facial features to appear more ‘white’.
“[Lil Kim] went and got a nose job to have a smaller nose like white people. Like, yall don’t see that? And like I said, no disrespect towards her. I don’t have a problem with it, she do what makes her happy. That’s on her.But like I’m saying, she literally got surgery to make herself look like a white person. She’s wearing makeup that’s light and ya’ll don’t say a godd*mn word about her.”

How do you feel about the comments Bhad Bhabie made regarding Lil Kim’s appearance?

‘American Idol’ Live Shows WILL Go On With Social Distancing!
As precautions surrounding the coronavirus increased around the world, fans were concerned about the future of talent shows. While we are still not sure how America’s Got Talent or The Voice will go on, American Idol has cleared the confusion.
With health officials advising against large gatherings, many television shows have put production on hold or eliminated their live studio audiences. American Idol will go on, not as planned but with a little improvising.

In the caption she wrote, “How will ‘American Idol’ continue? I’ll be judging from California, @LionelRichie from LA, @LukeBryan & @mrBobbyBones in Nashville. @RyanSeacrest will host from Cali! Contestants perform at their house! America will VOTE from HOME and choose a WINNER!”

This sounds easy but it will be the first time in the history of American Idol or for that matter any talent show that it will be conducted entirely off the studio. No fancy lights, no options of auto-tune and no live audience cheering but hey! If any show can do it and lead the path for others to follow, it is American Idol. Also, we might get cameo’s from Orlando Bloom, a girl can dream, right?

Katy thankfully did not contract coronavirus and both Rita and Tom are recovering from it.

'The Conners' Finds Dan Hoping for Real Romance with Louise!
Just when it seemed like Dan (John Goodman) was ready to move on, despite some "supernatural" interference from his late wife, he faced a heartbreaking setback. Though Tuesday's episode of The Conners, "Pilot Lights & Sister Fights," saw him try to put himself out there once again. Be warned that spoilers for Tuesday night's episode of The Conners will follow.
Things didn't start smoothly for Dan. Louise (Katey Sagal) politely refused his gift of flowers before the opening credits, and he proceeded to drink at the bar afterward. He even confessed his love to her, albeit to the keyboard player of the band who Louise was kissing in the prior episodes. It wasn't his best moment, and Jackie (Laurie Metcalf) couldn't wait to rub his face in it.

Still, after seeing how hurt Dan was by the whole ordeal, she did try to have a serious talk with him, particularly when she pointed out his tendency to drink and the fact that he still wears his wedding ring. Even when confronted about it directly, he simply denies his ability to take it off. In the end, Louise ends up making a 212-mile drive to confront Dan about his drunken confession. After a few cross words, she notices that Dan's no longer wearing his wedding ring, and both of them end up getting a happy ending.

It was a delightful turn of events after last week's installment, "The Icewoman Cometh," which found Dan dealing with a little bit of remorse that he didn't try to pursue a relationship with Louise. After confessing to Becky (Lecy Goranson) that his late wife, Roseanne (Roseanne Barr), wouldn't have wanted him to move on, a can dropped that prompted Dan to declare "she's here." Nonetheless, Dan felt that he was ready to move on, but after going to a bar to see Louise sing with her band, it was made clear that she'd moved on as well.
Along with Dan's romantic endeavors, Darlene (Sara Gilbert) ends up getting jealous of Becky over the fact that Ben (Jay R. Ferguson) has been spending too much time with her sister. After a heated confrontation, Darlene confesses that her chances of getting pregnant are a longshot, and is struggling with suddenly wanting a baby she might not be able to have.

It's been an eventful second season for The Conners, which has hosted a mini-Shameless reunion as well as two performances of a live episode, each of them incorporating results from the New Hampshire primary election in real-time. There are only two episodes left this season, and they'll air on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC

Indiana Man Checks Bank Account To Find $8.2 Million Instead Of his $1,700 Stimulus Payment!
An Indiana man who received his stimulus payment, checked his bank account to see that $8.2 million had been deposited.
As we all await our stimulus payments in the mail or by direct deposit, one man was pleasantly surprised to find millions in his account instead of the $1,700 check he was expecting. Charles Calvin works as a volunteer firefighter in New Chicago and told WGN that he found out about his government-issued millions when he went to withdraw $200 from a Family Express ATM. Calvin checked his balance and saw that he had $8.2 million in his account.

“Holy crap, this has got to be wrong. I’m like, ‘What in the world is going on? There’s no way I have $8.2 million in my bank account,” he explained to The Times of Northwest Indiana. He ended up calling his bank on Monday, which confirmed that he actually had a balance of $13.69. The bank said that the ATM more than likely printed out the wrong balance on its receipts. Calvin said he’d like the mixup to be fixed because other people who are expecting their checks may be concerned.

“It scared the hell out of me,” Calvin said.” I live paycheck to paycheck to paycheck just like everybody else. I’m a volunteer fireman. I can’t have no bad look on me and on my department.” Even though Calvin couldn’t keep the bands, he said if he could have, he would have shared it with his community. “I just want to do right by my town and by myself. I’ve got standards, and I’m not going to bust that for nobody,” Calvin said. “I want to be upfront and honest and a good-standing citizen in my town.”

Since then, Calvin’s $1,700 check has been deposited, and the millions are no longer there. Regardless, Calvin’s spirits haven’t been jaded. “It kind of sucks,” he told WGN 9. “You go from being a millionaire one second then back to being broke again. But hey, once you’re poor, you don’t have anywhere else to go but up.”

Back in March, the Treasury Department announced it would be distributing stimulus checks to Americans across the country as unemployment and business closures rise in numbers due to the coronavirus plaguing the nation. Eligible taxpayers will receive checks up to $1,200 for individuals, and married couples will receive $2,400, and an additional $500 for each qualifying child.

James King: Cause of My 600-lb Life Star's Death Revealed!
As tragically reported last week, James King is dead at the age of 49.
A fan favorite on Season 5 of My 600-lb Life, King passed away after suffering for years from many health issues.
Despite these known issues, and despite King making an appearance on this same show in 2018 at 840 pounds, many observers have been wondering whether he died from the novel Coronavirus.
King's family has now cleared up this rumor, however.
According to TMZ, which spoke to King's loved ones, the former reality star grew very sick in early February because his liver and  kidneys were shutting down.

This was a result of his ballooning and dangerously unhealthy weight.
On February 10, this same update reads, King was transported to a local Kentucky hospital for treatment.
However, he was later transported to a Nashville hospital, which was better able to treat a patient of his unusual size.
After experiencing the aforementioned medical issues, King's heart reportedly gave out because of the stress that his body was under. He died on April 3.

King is survived by his wife, Lisa Raisor King, four daughters, two sons, and 19 grandchildren.
Shortly after James passed away, James’ stepdaughter, Krystle Langston, captioned a hospital photo of the former reality star, writing very simply from her heart:
“Just feels so empty. I miss you so much.”
King rose in popularity on My 600-lb Life due to his candor and his unfortunate story.
He told the audience that he was raised by a single father and that his mother was a major alcoholic who was never really around.
Later in life, King reconnected with his mom.

However, shortly after doing so, she passed away from liver cancer. On the same day of his mother's funeral, his family house burned down.
"I lost just about everything I had in a single day," he said on air.
"I just couldn't handle all that. I was just so depressed, tore up -- I couldn't even go to school. It seemed like all I wanted to do was eat."

My 600-lb Life also chronicled the medical problems that King was experiencing.
He had reportedly suffered from sepsis, cirrhosis of the liver and kidney failure.
During his run on the series, King had a peak weight of 791 pounds and was, at the time, the heaviest person ever to be featured on the program.
Following the news of King's passing, the official Twitter account for My 600-lb Life issued a statement that said producers were "deeply saddened" by the development. It concluded:
"Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.

Trump's Signature To Be On Stimulus Checks, Delaying Mailing Process!
Federal stimulus checks for millions of Americans will be delayed by several days because President Donald Trump wanted his signature to be on them, the Washington Post reported late Tuesday. It will reportedly be the first time any president's signature has appeared on checks to taxpayers. Since the president is not actually authorized to sign checks from the U.S. Treasury, Trump's signature will appear in the "memo" space on the bottom left, across from the authorized signature of a nonpartisan Bureau of the Fiscal Service official.

The Post reported the final decision was made Monday night, and will delay the first batch of checks to be mailed out. Treasury Department officials denied to the Post that Trump's signature caused a delay, saying checks were not scheduled to be mailed until next week anyway. The signature will not appear on direct deposits, only on checks mailed to taxpayers for whom the government does not have banking information.
