#RHOA: Oh Really? So NeNe Leakes Will Not Forgive Cynthia Bailey Following The Kenya Moore Drama?
Kenya Moore was, is and will also continue to be a subject of debate on RHOA. For starters, NeNe refused to apologize for her violent reaction after Kandi Burruss and Porsha Williams wanted to check out her close without her consent.
Andy addressed the incident with the RHOA ladies and NeNe really seemed insulted by this whole thing because she felt like he was questioning her actions.

NeNe and Cynthia Bailey also addressed the appearance of Kenya at Cynthia’s party and whether the whole situation was a set-up, as Hollywood Life puts it.
Cynthia denied that she knew Kenya was going to attend her party and the explained that the reason for which she asked for a microphone check with Kandi during the season finale was that she just wanted to make sure that Kandi was not going to cross her and lie about what had happened.
Cynthia didn’t care what it looked like on TV, she kept swearing that it was ‘not a betrayal.’

NeNe wasn’t here for her explanation and said ‘It looks like betrayal so stop trying to act like it ain’t.’
In other news, people have been criticizing NeNe’s behavior, and even fans told her that she’s not acting right and she should learn to be more humble.
But on the other hand, NeNe’s diehard fans are still supporting her, and they’re trying to tell the world that no one really knows what it’s like to be in NeNe’s shoes regarding Gregg’s cancer and more subjects.

People are now posting messages on her older posts since she disabled comments on her new ones.

#Empire: Recap; A Family Meeting
To recap last episode of ‘Empire’ with the Lyon’s. The doctor and the entire Lyon clan is meeting in a round circle. Andre is still sick but Lucious asks the doc to cut to the chase and describe exactly what’s going on with Andre. Doctor says he doesn’t like to make predictions but he is confident that Andre’s cancer is close to being eradicated. The family celebrates.

Across town, Kingsley goes to visit his mother and he asks a number of questions about Lucious and about doing drugs. It seems that Kingsley is beginning to question his mother’s version of events. She tells him that Lucious said he would beat the baby out her and that he didn’t want the baby. Then she asks her son to tell the nurses to give her some drugs to help her go to sleep.

Over on the concert tour, Blake (Chet Hanks), Devon (Mario) and Hakeem (Bryshere Grey) are preparing to go on stage. Tiana (Serayah) walks out first to the crowd in New Jersey. She asks the crowd to welcome Devon, the newest member of the Empire. She’s also eying Devon in a really sexy way. But Tiana eyes a lot of guys in a sexy way, so who knows if this is real or not.

Britney Spears Leaves Treatment Center and was Seen in Beverly Hills
Amid the chaos  surrounding Britney Spears‘ ongoing treatment, the singer left the rehab facility and was seen out on Easter Sunday.
Spears was seen Sunday at the Montage Beverly Hills after spending Easter with boyfriend, Sam Asghari. The 37-year-old singer wore a red sundress, and appeared disheveled as she carried her belongings out of the hotel and into a waiting car.

As reported, Spears has been in a treatment center since January after having a significant mental breakdown during the planning of her Las Vegas residency.
Spears’ inner circle, including father Jamie Spears, had been trying to intervene while she spiraled out of control, but in the end made the decision that she needed professional help in a treatment facility.

There has been a huge push from Spears’ fans to get her out of the facility, as many had believed she was being held against her will. It’s unclear if Spears was just out for the holiday weekend, or if she has now completed her stint in treatment.

The US Supreme Court to rule whether civil rights law bans discrimination against LGBTQ employees
WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court said Monday it will decide whether existing civil rights laws ban discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation, a question that has divided the nation's lower courts.

Federal law forbids workplace discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex or national origin. It does not explicitly apply to LGBT individuals, but gay rights advocates have argued that firing employees because of their sexual orientation is already prohibited as a form of sex discrimination under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act. They've been hoping to achieve in the courts what they have so far been unable to get in Congress — a nationwide ban on job discrimination.

The cases accepted Monday reflect the split among federal courts. Two appeals courts ruled that employers violated Title VII by firing gay and transgender employees. A third said civil rights laws don't cover sexual orientation.
For decades, every federal appeals court to consider whether gay employees are entitled to nondiscrimination protection ruled that they are not. But advocates of LGBT rights argued that support for that position has been eroding. In 1989, the Supreme Court said Title VII bans discrimination based on an employee's failure to act according to sex-based expectations, ruling for a woman denied a promotion who was told to walk, talk, and dress femininely, wear make-up and jewelry, and have her hair styled.
Plaintiff at center of landmark gay-rights case never got to witness his victory
In 1998, the court ruled that a heterosexual offshore oil rig worker could sue for sex discrimination even though he was sexually harassed by other men on the job. Congress didn't have that kind of discrimination in mind when the civil rights law was passed in 1964, the Supreme Court said, but "statutory prohibitions often go beyond the principal evil to cover reasonably comparable evils."

The federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission concluded in 2015 that Title VII does protect against LGBT job discrimination. The Obama Justice Department took the same position, but under President Donald Trump it reversed course, opposing that conclusion.
Among the cases to be heard next term are an appeal from a ruling in favor of a New York skydiving instructor, Donald Zarda, who said he was fired after telling a female client that he was gay so she shouldn't worry about being strapped tightly against him during the dive. The 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals said sexual orientation discrimination is a subset of sex discrimination.

The 6th Circuit Court of Appeals said a woman who worked for a Michigan funeral home was impermissibly fired two weeks after she told her employer she was transgender. Her employer said she did not follow the dress code, but the court said transgender discrimination is prohibited by Title VII.
Warren's plan to wipe out student debt (and how she'd pay for it)
"Discrimination 'because of sex' inherently includes discrimination against employees because of a change in their sex," it said.

In the third case, the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled against a Georgia man who lost his job with Clayton County after his participation in a gay softball league became known to his employer. That court said the civil rights law does not cover sexual orientation discrimination.

Because of the split among the lower courts, advocates on both sides of the issue were urging the Supreme Court to correct what they said were erroneous rulings.
Mara Keisling, executive director of the National Center for Transgender Equality, said the Supreme Court's "decision to take this case is a historic turning point for transgender people across this country."

"Americans decided long ago that no person should have to fear losing their job because of who they are, and we hope the Supreme Court understands its responsibility to uphold established law and this enduring American value," Keisling said in a statement.

The court will hear the cases in its next term, which begins in October

#BoxOfficeNews: The Scary  'Curse of La Llorona' Wins the Holy Weekend with 26.6 Million!
(BOM) Leading the Easter weekend charge was Warner Bros. and New Line's The Curse of La Llorona, which topped expectations as audiences continue to crave new horror, giving WB and New Line their third straight weekend at #1. Disney and Fox's Breakthrough delivered a top three performance following its Wednesday debut and Disney also saw Captain Marvel enjoy a nice bump over the weekend, topping $400 million domestically, as audiences prep for the release of Avengers: Endgame next weekend.

Warner Bros. and New Line took the weekend's top spot for the third weekend in a row, this time with debut of the R-rated horror The Curse of La Llorona, which delivered an estimated $26.5 million, well ahead of expectations. While pretty much dismissed by critics (32% on RottenTomatoes and 41 on Metacritic), the film received a "B-" CinemaScore from opening weekend audiences which were 51% male with 60% of the crowd coming in aged 25 or older.

Internationally, Curse of La Llorona launched in 71 markets, bringing in an estimated $30 million for a $56.5 million global launch. The debut was led by a $5.3 million opening in Mexico, followed by Colombia ($2.4m), France ($2.1m), Spain ($1.7m), Indonesia ($1.6m), Korea ($1.3m), India ($1.1m) and Russia ($1.1m). The film still has a few markets where it has yet to open, including the UK on May 3 and Japan a week later on May 10.

Along with a #1 finish, WB and New Line also secured the runner up position with Shazam!, which topped the past two weekends and held on very well in its junior frame, dipping -29% for an estimated $17.3 million as the film's domestic cume now tops $121 million. Internationally, the film added another $22 million this weekend, pushing its overseas cume to $201.5 for a worldwide gross that now tops $322 million.

Debuting in third place is Disney's first official Fox release since acquiring the studio in the faith-based feature Breakthrough, which opened on Wednesday and delivered an estimated $11.1 million for the three-day and $14.6 million over the five-day. The film received an "A" CinemaScore from opening day audiences and played to a crowd that was 65% female and 70% were aged 25 or older.

Internationally, Breakthrough is now in its second weekend and playing in 20 key markets where it added another $2.8 million this weekend for an overseas total that now stands at a $5.9 million. The film's top market is Brazil where it has already grossed $3.8 million after two weekends in release.

Disney also landed in fourth position with an excellent performance from Captain Marvel, which saw a +6% increase over last weekend despite losing 322 locations. The film played in 2,653 theaters this weekend and delivered an estimated $9.1 million for a domestic cume that now tops $400 million. The film is now the 34th film to ever top that figure domestically and the seventh film to reach that mark in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film also added another $6.5 million this weekend overseas for an international cume that now stands at $689.5 million and a global tally that is now $1.089 billion.

Rounding out the top five is Universal's Little, which dipped -45% in its second weekend with an estimated $8.45 million for a domestic cume just shy of $30 million. The film also added another $1.4 million internationally for an overseas cume that now stands at $4.8 million and a worldwide tally topping $34 million.

Finishing outside the top ten is Disneynature's Penguins, which brought in an estimated $2.3 million over the three-day after opening on Wednesday. The performance comes in below expectations and is the worst debut for a Disneynature film yet, even if you take into account the overall $3.3 million it took in over its first five days of release. Penguins received an "A" CinemaScore from opening day audiences and played to a crowd that was 56% female and 48% were aged 25 or older.

Jussie Smollett's Brother Pens Op-Ed Questioning "What If Jussie Is Telling The Truth"
Jussie's brother JoJo argues that his brother was convicted in the court of public opinion first.
Jussie Smollet's older brother, JoJo penned an op-ed letter defending his sibling and begged the question: what if Jussie is telling the truth?

The essay, written exclusively for BET.com tackles the holes of the case, the Chicago Police Department and its years of corruption, the statement from the Osundarios brothers, as well as the role media played in helping to "convict Jussie in the court of public opinion before he even entered a courtroom."

"The fact that these two brothers, who in the final hour confessed to attacking my brother yet say it was Jussie who told them to, is all the evidence that the police and the general public needed to be convinced, should be frightening to everyone," Jojo wrote.

JoJo, who owns a nonprofit aimed at helping disabled people enter the workforce, noted that it was underreported the brothers were arrested for attempted murder but secured a plea deal of aggravated battery.
In late January, the 36-year-old actor was leaving a Subway fast-food restaurant at about 2 AM when he said he was attacked by two MAGA hat-wearing men. They allegedly beat, kicked him shouted racial and homophobic slurs while trying to tie a noose around his neck and pour bleach on him.

Initially, many of the entertainer's friends took to social media to show support. The Chicago PD alleged the former Empire actor staged the attack because of a financial dispute on the show. JoJo said his brother wasn't strapped for cash.
"Jussie had actually begun directing episodes of Empire, which brought additional compensation. He worked out a deal with Fox to own 100% of his music masters, released an album, which lead to a sold-out world tour and he donated every cent of ticket sales to charity. He even signed the group, June’s Diary, to his label...To suggest that he staged his own attack to boost a sagging career is ludicrous"
JoJo, who's the oldest of the Smollett clan, ended his lengthy essay hoping there are some who are willing to give his brother the benefit of the doubt.

"I am simply hoping there are some conscious-minded people out there who, instead of carelessly victim blaming and shaming, want to loudly ask the simple question: “What if Jussie is telling the truth?”

Tensions rise in Lori Loughlin’s marriage after admissions scandal
While “Full House” star Lori Loughlin’s daughter Olivia Jade Giannulli partied last week with friends, her parents are feuding as reality sets in about the gravity of their federal wire fraud and money laundering charges.
“Lori is constantly arguing with Mossimo because she is beginning to grasp that they are in very serious jeopardy,” a source told Us Weekly.

Loughlin and her designer husband Mossimo Giannulli are charged with paying $500,000 to have Olivia Jade and her sister, Isabella Rose Giannulli, 20, admitted into the University of Southern California as fake crew recruits. If convicted, they could face 40 years in prison.
Meanwhile, their 19-year-old daughter was spotted Thursday letting loose with fellow YouTube stars David Dobrik and Heather Hussar at Dobrik’s home in Studio City, Calif., TMZ reported.
Back home, Loughlin’s inner circle pins the scandal on Giannulli.
“Everyone feels bad for her. They think the situation was something concocted by her husband,” a second Us Weekly source said. “Her friends don’t like him.”

The couple pleaded not guilty.

The Tiger that Attacked it’s Keeper At Topeka Zoo Will Not Be Euthanized
A 7-year-old Sumatran tiger attacked and injured a female zookeeper at a Topeka, Kansas zoo over the weekend, leaving the victim in stable condition at a local hospital suffering lacerations to the back of her head, neck and back.

Zoo director, Brendan Wiley, said the tiger, named Sanjiv, tackled the trainer in its outdoor habitat. Wiley said there was “no consideration” to euthanize the tiger. “The male Sumatran tiger, Sanjiv, simply reacted the way that is normal for a tiger to do,” Wiley said.

The attack lasted less than 10 minutes and occurred while the zoo was open to the public. Molly Hadfield, a spokesperson for the city of Topeka, told CBS News the zoo was shut down for 45 minutes following the incident but has reopened.

Sanjiv, the tiger, was placed into a holding area, and the Tigers were not on display for the remainder of the day. According to Wiley, Sanjiv recently fathered four critically endangered cubs.
