Cardi B Looks FAB for Harper's Bazaar US Edition- March 2019
Bardi’s CELEBRATE Your QUEEN!

Cardi B is gearing up for another milestone moment this weekend, where she's notched five nominations at this year's Grammy Awards. But before making her way to the West Coast, Harper's BAZAAR caught up with Bardi at her favorite Bronx nail salon for a cover story interview, which released online Thursday (Feb. 7).
The in-depth profile sees the 26-year-old open up about her relationship with Offset, how she doesn't feel back to her pre-pregnancy self just yet, and much more.

The "Bodak Yellow" rapper danced around a definitive answer when it came to ever getting back with Offset permanently. "I don’t think so. Who knows? You never know, you can never tell," she said.

Cardi then admitted that Set wanted the pair to attend marriage counseling sessions together, something she clearly wasn't behind doing. "I didn’t want to go to marriage counseling. He suggested it, but it’s like, ‘I don’t want to go.’ There’s no counselor or nothing that could make me change my mind," Cardi said.
Bardi figured she'd be the type to avoid postpartum depression altogether. "When I gave birth, the doctor told me about postpartum, and I was like, ‘Well, I’m doing good right now, I don’t think that’s going to happen,’" Cardi detailed. "But out of nowhere, the world was heavy on my shoulders.”
Cardi B also said something still feels off about her body. “For some reason, I still don’t feel like my body’s the same. I feel like I don’t have my balance right yet. When it comes to heels, I’m not as good at walking anymore. I feel like I’m holding a weight on me," she explained. "But there’s an energy I haven’t gotten back yet that I had before I was pregnant. It’s just the weirdest thing."

Read the profile in full over at Harper's BAZAAR. The issue hits newsstands Feb. 19.

#RHoA: Newbie Housewife Tanya Sam: I’m not hardly AFRAID of NeNe Leakes!
Tanya Sam said the wrong thing at the wrong time to the wrong person on her first season on "The Real Housewives of Atlanta," leaving her vulnerable to the wrath of an OG.
NeNe Leakes was the one who introduced Tanya to the group after the two met at Swagg Boutique (NeNe's clothing store), so fans were shocked when NeNe unexpectedly unloaded on Tanya during a recent episode. Tanya was shocked, too.
"I was just upset to have been yelled at like that," Tanya told the folks over at TooFab. "And I just don't know how it went to 100 so quickly when I was just trying to express my feelings about her comments."
The outburst came shortly after the ladies read their fortunes outside a temple during their trip to Tokyo for Eva Marcille's bachelorette party. Tanya's fortune said something about marriage being in her future. When Marlo Hampton saw it, she showed it to NeNe and said, "Look, bitch! Paul gonna marry her."

"You may marry somebody else," NeNe replied. At the time, Tanya ignored the comment, but when the topic of her relationship with Paul (who she calls her husband even though they're not legally married) came up again at lunch, NeNe erupted.
"I don't care if y'all married or not! I'm not into it," she said loudly. "So please don't think I'm questioning you about your marriage. I want you to be happy, but I do not care. I've been married over 20-something years. I am very serious about love, okay?"
When Tanya asked NeNe why she'd wish for her to marry someone else when she's clearly happy with her "life partner," NeNe shouted, "I'm not wishing a motherf--king thing! I don't give a f--k!"
It was intense, leaving Tanya in tears, and she told us watching it back was almost as difficult as having to go through it firsthand.

"Believe it or not -- because I know the show is about confrontation -- I'm pretty non-confrontational," she said. "But there is a huge piece of me that doesn't take crap. Some stuff I just let roll off my back, but then the stuff that is super important to me, I'm just not gonna let it be shoved under the rug. And this was one of those things."
"I wanted her to understand that if the shoe were on the other foot and her friend was saying, 'I don't give a shit about stuff in your life' -- that to me was pretty shocking because I care a lot about what's happening in my friends' lives," she added. "I care about anything that's important to my friends. So I was pretty shocked that that was the answer to my comment."

Tanya said she forgave NeNe and that the two were able to completely mend things before leaving Tokyo. Tanya's "husband," however, has had a harder time moving forward.
"Your man never wants to see you hurt, especially Paul," she explained. "We're protective of each other. So if I call him crying, being like, 'This is what happened,' he's short of firing up a private jet and being like, 'I'm coming to Tokyo right now.' He was mad. Even when he watched the show, he was still angry. He was like, 'You're crying after this huge argument!' He was a little fired up about that."

When asked if Paul and NeNe had smoothed things over, Tanya said, "I feel like, yeah, they have. They've interacted and stuff, but you know, he probably has a longer memory than I do."
We also had to ask Tanya about what it was like being on that bus ride from hell, which took place immediately following NeNe's explosion. On the bus ride from the restaurant back to the ladies' hotel, Eva and Marlo had a full-blown screamfest and took turns taking hilarious and below-the-belt jabs at one another.

"First of all, it was such a long bus ride," Tanya said with a laugh. "I had just come off this super intense conversation with NeNe, so I was very emotional. Then we get on this bus, and the traffic in Tokyo -- it was rush hour, so it took a long time. So Marlo and Eva are going at it for what felt like forever. I was half-laughing, half-crying. I was just kind of like, 'What is going on in my world right now?!' It was actually really funny to watch that."

"And then at the same time, I remember calling the hotel intensely, being like, 'I need a massage in my room in exactly 35 minutes,'" she continued. "And so I had a massage therapist in my room like five minutes after we got there. I remember lying face down on the bed, having these delightful hands beating into my back, and I was like, 'Okay, I found my zen now. I'm all good.'"
Regarding her relationship with the other Housewives, Tanya said she's closest with Eva, Porsha Williams and newbie Shamari DeVoe.
"I love them," she gushed. "We all hung out on New Years together, and the nice thing about that -- especially with Porsha and Eva -- is that our men have a bromance. It's so great. It makes things so easy."

"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" airs Sundays at 8 p.m. on Bravo.

#Empire: The FBI is now vetting all letters sent to the Empire set for hate mail while Investigation continues!
The FBI is working with folks on the "Empire" set to track down the person who sent Jussie Smollett a hateful, threatening letter just days before the attack, and they're also on high alert to prevent dangerous mail and other items from making their way to the cast.

Sources on set says private security company was hired by the show and met with FBI agents to establish a protocol for inspecting all incoming mail. The team wears gloves so the evidence in question is not contaminated.

The security team has 2 functions ... to flag threatening, incoming mail and alert the FBI, and to possibly link new items to the letter Jussie already received, containing homophobic and racists epithets along with an image of a noose.
Our sources say the security team has already flagged "hate mail," but we're told that it's nothing new. The show has been targeted by racists and homophobes in the past, but now everyone is on high alert and the FBI is screening all of it.
Also there are daily security sweeps on the "Empire" set. Guards are looking for anything or anyone who might be out of place.
Production hired two additional makeup artists over the weekend to assist Jussie and make sure his cuts and bruises from the Chicago attack are well-hidden.

MLB Hall of Famer Frank Robinson, baseball pioneer and first black manager, dies at 83
Frank Robinson was royalty, a legend in the world of baseball. Despite his tremendous accomplishments on and off the field, it was as if his monumental role in baseball history had been forgotten.

Maybe now, people will pay attention and realize that Frank Robinson was one of the most impactful figures in baseball history.
Robinson, a first-ballot Hall of Fame player who became the first African-American manager in baseball, died Thursday at the age of 83, according to Major League Baseball.
Robinson, who had been in hospice in Southern California for several months, was able to say farewell to many of his friends and family before his death.
Now, perhaps the public can pay proper respect to a man who had a dramatic influence on the game.
Few men have had a greater impact as a player, a manager and an executive than Robinson, who was so revered and respected that three different franchises retired his uniform number, No. 20, and erected statues in his honor.

“Frank Robinson’s résumé in our game is without parallel, a trailblazer in every sense, whose impact spanned generations," MLB commissioner Rob Manfred said in a statement.
"He was one of the greatest players in the history of our game, but that was just the beginning of a multifaceted baseball career.  Known for his fierce competitive will, Frank made history as the first MVP of both the National and American Leagues, earned the 1966 AL Triple Crown and World Series MVP honors, and was a centerpiece of two World Championship Baltimore Orioles’ teams."
Robinson, a 14-time All-Star, had a legendary career. He was the Rookie of the Year in 1956 when he hit a rookie-record 38 homers for the Cincinnati Reds, won the Triple Crown in 1966 with the Baltimore Orioles, and remains the only player to win an MVP award in each league -- with the Reds in 1961 and the Orioles in 1966. He also led his teams to two World Series titles, winning with  the Orioles in 1966, when he also was voted the World Series MVP, and 1970.

Robinson, who had his greatest years with the Reds and Orioles, played 21 years in the major leagues before retiring in 1976 with 586 home runs. It was the fourth-highest total in baseball at the time, trailing only Hank Aaron, Babe Ruth and Willie Mays. The longest of those home runs came on May 8, 1966, when his 541-foot blast off Luis Tiant cleared Memorial Stadium in Baltimore.
“We were facing Luis Tiant and he had thrown three straight shutouts,” Robinson said at a 2014 news conference. “I had never seen him before. The first pitch was a fastball down and in and I hit it. You know when you get one. You don’t know how far, but you know you got it.

“When I came into the dugout, the guys were saying that ball went completely out of the ballpark. I said, ‘Get out of my face. No way.’ They said, ‘Yes it did.’

“When I went out to right field, the fans gave me a standing ovation. I thought maybe it did go out.”
He continued to influence the game long after retirement, becoming the first African-American to manage in the major leagues, with the Cleveland Indians. He also managed the San Francisco Giants, becoming the National League’s first African-American manager, and later managed the Orioles, Montreal Expos and Washington Nationals. He compiled a 1,065-1,176 (.475) record over parts of 16 seasons, winning the 1989 AL Manager of the Year award with the Orioles.

In Washington, Robinson said, one of his players asked him in 2005 whether he had played in the major leagues. It was then, he said he realized just how little attention players today pay to baseball history.

Robinson, the youngest of 10 children raised in Oakland, Calif., was a former high school basketball teammate with NBA Hall of Famer Bill Russell at McClymonds High School, and also a former baseball teammate with former major leaguers Vada Pinson and Curt Flood.

Robinson became active in the civil rights movement in Baltimore after witnessing the city’s segregated housing and discriminatory real estate practices, and in 2005 was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President George W. Bush. He was honored two years later with the first Jackie Robinson Society Community Recognition Award at George Washington University.

He spent the last 12 years working for the Commissioner’s office mostly as a vice president, and later as a senior advisor to Commissioner Rob Manfred.

Offset Calls Chris Brown A “Coke Head” In Response To Fade Invitation
It didn’t take long for Offset to respond to Chris Brown’s Instagram tirade. Shortly after Breezy challenged the Migos rap star to a fight, Offset responded with a few words of his own, insinuating Brown was a drug addict.

“Coke head don’t want no [smoke],” he wrote in one of his Instagram Stories.
The two artists have run into issues before. In 2017, members of their respective crews got into a heated confrontation during BET Awards weekend in Los Angeles.

Migos were reportedly greeted by those in Brown’s entourage as they approached the venue. Witnesses said someone shoved Quavo and when another member of Migos’ crew attempted to intervene, the person was punched.
Chris Brown had some choice words for Offset after the Migos rapper hopped in his Instagram comments and called him a “lame.” On Wednesday (February 6), the R&B superstar replied to Offset’s comment with a string of profanity-laced insults.

“FUCK YOU LIL BOY,” he wrote in all caps. “BETTER WORRY ABOUT WHAT U GOT GOING AND FOCUS ON ‘YOU.’ All this cap on IG IS WHATS LAME. YO ENERGY WONT LIKE THAT WHEN I CAME TO THE DRAKE SHOW IN LA…IF U DONT GET YO A HIP A HOP A HIBBET A HIBBET TO THE HIP HIP HOP AND YA DONT STOP THE ROCKING FACEASS OUT MY COMMENTS. SENSITIVE ASS NIGGA.

“CALL ME PERSONALLY. U WANT SOME CLOUT WHEN ALL U GOTTA DO IS PULL UP. No camera no flexing and all at!!!!!!!! IF YOU A REAL MAN FIGHT ME. Oh and another thing, SUCK MY DICK!!!”
The war of words kicked off earlier this week when Brown posted a video of 21 Savage rapping with a British accent. As the entire Hip Hop community knows, 21 was arrested by ICE on Sunday (February 3) and it was revealed the 26-year-old rapper is actually from the U.K.

Naturally, a flurry of memes and GIFs followed and Offset wasn’t having it. He commented on Brown’s post, “Memes ain’t funny lame.”

That was evidently enough to infuriate Breezy who promptly unleashed on Offset. So far, the ATLien has yet to reply.

B. Smith’s Husband Says If Girlfriend Wasn’t White, Relationship Wouldn’t Be An Issue
In the week since it was revealed to the world, the controversial relationship between former model and restauranteur B. Smith’s husband Dan Gasby and his live-in girlfriend Alex Lerner, has sent shockwaves throughout social media and ignited a fierce backlash. Now, the couple is aiming once again to tell their side of the story, this time via a new interview on the TODAY show.
As B. Smith continues to suffer with the debilitating disease Alzheimer’s, her husband and primary caretaker, Dan Gasby and his girlfriend Alex Lerner, live in the house with Smith and reportedly take care of her daily needs together. When Gasby decided to reveal to the world the unconventional and controversial situation, the couple was met with backlash that put them on the defense.

To clear things up, Gasby and Lerner sat down with Al Roker in a new interview on the most recent episode of the TODAY show. Gasby firmly believes that all of the negative attention he and Lerner have received is simply because she is white, and critics don’t like interracial couples.

WATCH HERE

Gasby stated: “The 800-pound gorilla in this situation is she’s white. I’m not supposed to be conscripted to somebody because of their race.”
When asked why he felt to need to go public with the relationship when he could’ve just kept things private, Gasby had this to say:

“Because that’s what Barbara [B. Smith] asked me to do, to talk about it. It spun out of control to ‘I’m having an affair. This woman, because of who she is, is taking B’s money. We’re abusing B. B wouldn’t want this.’ These people have never even talked to B.”
Gasby continued, describing how he and Lerner initially began dating:

“Taking care of someone like B, even having someone who is taking care of her periodically…the weight of every minute of the day is a blanket on you. And (Lerner) was funny. The most important thing, she was kind. And we became friends, and that friendship got closer and closer.”
Lerner also chimed in during the interview, describing what it’s like for Gasby to care for B. Smith as she suffers from Alzheimer’s:

“But after a while, I understood, or it seemed to me, as if I had met a man who has a child. In a sense that B. is now very child-like. And his responsibilities are almost those of a single father. Like, really being there 24/7. Taking care of every and all of her needs.”
Lerner described her current relationship with Smith, even though she is her husband’s girlfriend:
“We find ways to laugh together and find joy in taking walks or doing things together. I would almost say that it’s like sisters. It’s a very sweet feeling.”

As for what’s currently on the agenda for the couple, they revealed they want to continue their podcast “Thank You Dan and Alex,” which is geared towards educating others about Alzheimer’s and continue to care for Smith at their shared home in East Hampton, New York.

What do you think about Dan Gasby and Alex Lerner’s interview
