American Horror Story Season 8 Has a New Title and Horrifying Poster! 🙈😈😨
We're getting ever closer to the release of American Horror Story Season 8, and the show's new subtitle has finally been revealed, along with a set of terrifying new posters.
Last season, AHS: Cult managed to be both incredibly dark and extremely political. With the newly announced subtitle Apocalypse, AHS Season 8 promises to take the show in an even scarier direction. And as if the title wasn't creepy enough, new posters promoting the season have also been released, and they're not for the faint of heart.
In the first, a hand, which appears to belong to the Devil himself, reaches across to tickle a baby. Or, like, rip out its organs... it's unclear which. Luckily, the baby isn't real, and is just a doll, but still:
And in the second image, the same terrifying hand, with its long, spiky fingernails, covers the baby's mouth. The image is perhaps even more disturbing than the first:
Star, Sarah Paulson, also shared one of the photos on Instagram, along with the message, "No caption needed."
Back in June 2018, the show's co-creator Ryan Murphy confirmed via Twitter that Season 8 of AHS will be the long-awaited Murder House/Coven crossover.
Murphy also made it clear that several beloved characters from previous seasons of the show would be back, saying, "The Coven/Murder House AHS crossover season won't be happening next year... because it's happening THIS YEAR. AHS #8 WITCHES RULE THIS SEPTEMBER."
The co-creator also told Entertainment Weekly, "You will see so many fan favorites return that you’ll feel like it’s The Love Boat. It’s a very high concept."
