Kim Kardashian Went Full Jackie Kennedy for the Cover of Interview Magazine
The latest issue of Interview magazine features Kim Kardashian like you’ve never seen her before: dressed up like one of the most iconic first ladies in American history. The magazine had her dressed like Jackie Kennedy, and even used the tagline “America’s New First Lady” to promote her interview with author Janet Mock.
The magazine released images from the shoot Monday morning, and they really go full Kennedy. According to a press release, the photoshoot took place at the National Arts Club in New York City. There are actually three different covers, all showing various Jackie O looks. Here are the two others:
Photographer Steven Klein also posted an artsy video of Kim in her full First Lady outfit. “For this shoot I wanted to capture feminine beauty as an expression of empowerment and self-respect,” he said in a press release. “Also, to highlight Kim in a chic manner that is retrospective of a time and yet modern." You can read the full article and see the rest of the photos HERE. There's also a separate (and adorable!) interview with North, featuring questions from other celebrity kids. FYI: Her favorite Disney princess is Jasmine, and her favorite color is rainbow.

#EMPIRE: Taraji P. Henson Talks About Her "Special Diet" and What It Means to Love Yourself
Body positivity and diversity are hot-button topics that are currently a strong part of the conversation in our society. As curvier models and people who look a bit different are gaining more visibility, it's inspiring more and more of us to embrace the body we're in and truly love it. One person who has long been an advocate for diversity and positivity in all their forms is actress Taraji P. Henson.
In a recent interview she said "Body diversity, it's very important, because that's where shame comes in. That's where you feel like, 'Well, I don't fit because I look a certain way,'" she told me when I sat down with her at an event with Special K. "Well, you look a certain way because God made you and you're perfect," she continued. Henson went on to say that, in her opinion, our society is moving in the right direction toward acceptance, and she hopes it sticks. "People are all different shapes and sizes. It should be representative of every
Henson herself said she recently got herself to a place where she loves her body and wants to treat it right, too, because body positivity is more than just loving yourself. It's about loving yourself enough to be good to yourself. Henson, who recently experienced some health problems due to what she calls poor food choices, said that her work and lack of knowledge on what will make your stomach happy (like bone broth!) came crashing down on her and resulted in her having to make an entire lifestyle change.
"I'm now that person who carries a lunch box with my food in it because I'm on a special diet. I take snacks with me everywhere I go because I like living; I like life," she said. And it was this health scare — which she totally kicked in the face — that made her want to do more to empower women to make the right choices, not just with food but with themselves. She and Special K, who did a study and found that more than half of women surveyed spend more time thinking about what to eat than what to wear, are encouraging women to make more positive food choices.
"I think it's great to have choices," she said, not just about food but about everything in life. She said it's important to be confident in what you choose to eat and how you live and to keep loving yourself along the way, because you'll not only feel empowered within yourself, but you'll inspire others to do the same.
#NEWMUSIC from Brian Mcknight Releases New Album ‘Genesis’ And Video For “I Want You”
Brian McKnight can always deliver a heartwarming ballad, and he does it again with “I Want You.”
The R&B legend released his 13th studio album, Genesis, on Friday (Aug. 25) and accompanied the LP with a video for the smooth new love song.
Known to clean up well in bespoke suits, the visual opens with McKnight in a dapper tuxedo as he begins to sing the romantic slow jam. “Baby you got that something, and I need you now / I know you like to hear me say it out loud,” he sings.
Then, as he gets ready to depart his hotel room, Mcknight puts on a silver masquerade mask and makes his way to a private room with other adults wearing masks. As couples leave the room one-by-one, Brian sees his mystery date and shortly they head to their bedroom.
Their intimate evening is left up to our imagine, but next we see them cuddling in the morning, and it’s revealed that the mystery woman is Brian’s actual wife in real life.
Speaking about his new album, McKnight explained: “’Genesis’ is a new beginning of sorts with a nod to my past, firmly rooted in the present, and looking towards the future.”

#HIPHOPNEWS: Remy Ma Eggs On Beef With Nicki Minaj At 2017 MTV VMAs With “What’s Good” Jab
Remy Ma took a moment during her presenter segment at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards to egg on the beef between her and rival rapper, Nicki Minaj. The “All The Way Up” star copied Minaj’s “Miley, what’s good?” jab during her segment, and Twitter has been going crazy ever since.
While standing alongside Terrence J and announcing a commercial pause, Remy’s jab was nearly missed but it was caught by fans on Twitter who seized upon the moment immediately. While Remy has previously stated she was taking the high road in the rap war with Minaj, it looks like she has more bars on deck for the Queens superstar.

Joel Osteen was put on FULL BLAST For Not Helping Houston Hurricane Victims, Closing Mega Church
Mega preacher Joel Osteen is receiving backlash on social media for keeping his megachurch closed during Hurricane Harvey. In fact, some suggest that the church, which is a 16,800-seat arena located near downtown Houston, should offer shelter for those in need.
Reportedly, the church canceled services Sunday, noting that the building was inaccessible due to flooding. However that didn’t stop backlash online.
According to a report, the pastor and his wife live in a $10.5 million mansion in the River Oaks neighborhood. Osteen has not responded yet to some of the social media criticism. However, he did send a daily email message out, calling for the public to pray for the devastation that Houston is facing.

Broadway Ticket Sales Fall More Than 30% In Final Weeks Of Summer
Hollywood wasn’t alone in having a lousy week as summer draws to an end. Ticket sales on Broadway have fallen 31% over the last five weeks, with a 7% plunge in the week that ended Sunday, the 14th of the 2017-2018 season. The imminent closing of three musicals – Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 on Sunday, and Bandstand and Groundhog Day, both on September 17 – all but assures that things will get worse before they get better. Look for improvement when new shows set up shop and the season gets underway post-Labor Day and the Jewish High Holy Days.
There’s at least some solace in the fact that the $26.6 million tally across 29 shows was $5 million ahead of the same week a year ago, when the culling had reduced the Broadway roll call to 25.
Bandstand and The Great Comet, advertising final weeks, were the only shows to boast substantial gains: Bandstand was up $53K to $542.6K at the Shubert Organization’s Jacobs Theatre, with an average price of $83.41 reaching 54% of gross potential. The Great Comet was up $85.8K at the Shuberts’ Imperial, hitting $974K and an average ticket price of $108.40 to score 90.7 per cent of potential.
Michael Moore’s The Terms of My Surrender, at the Shuberts’ Belasco, has been playing to about 70% of capacity, with tickets averaging $62.13. Among the other non-musicals, 1984, at Ambassador Theatre Group’s Hudson, filled 58% of the seats at an average of $59.53 per ticket, taking in $267K, or 34.5% of potential. A Doll’s House, Part 2, at the Shuberts’ Golden, ticked up $6K to $198.2K, 28 per cent of potential, at $51.93 per ticket.
Two long-runs took the biggest hits: Wicked, at the Nederlander Organization’s Gershwin, tumbled $183.6K to $1.6 million, 90% of potential. And The Phantom of the Opera, at the Shuberts’ Majestic, dropped $122K to $915K, 67% of potential. Neither is in danger of closing any time soon.
The 5 top-grossing shows were:
• Hamilton ($2.96 million at the Nederlander Organization’s Richard Rodgers; $275.52 average ticket)
• Hello, Dolly! ($2.2 million at the Shubert; $190.94)
• The Lion King ($2.05 million at the Nederlanders’ Minskoff; $153.12)
• Dear Evan Hansen ($1.65 million at the Shuberts’ Music Box; $207.54)
• Wicked ($1.6 million at the Nederlanders’ Gershwin; $120.47)
Total sales for Week 14 were down $2.1 million, or 7%, from Week 13. Average ticket price across all shows was $114.41, down from $116.06.

Now, Houston locals need help! Funnyman Kevin Hart is putting his money where his mouth is and he’s donating $25,000 to help the hurricane victims. Not only that, he’s challenging some of his celebrity friends -- including Beyonce, Jay Z, and Chris Rock -- to do the same
Skepta & Nike has Collaborated On A New Air Max 97 Colorway
Nike and pioneering grime artist Skepta have collaborated on a new Air Max 97 design and man is it spiffy.
Inspired by a trip to the Moroccan city of Essaouira, the kicks dubbed the Air Max 97 Sk are the second pair of kicks he designed for Nike (last February he dropped a Air Max BW based loosely on his 2012 album Blacklisted) and sports a copper-ish colorway mixed in with a black base.
According to Factmag, the Air Max 97’s hold a special place in theKonnichiwa MC’s heart as they were first pair of kicks that Skepta said he saved up money to buy so he wanted to do them justice when he was given the opportunity to design them.
Check out pics of the joints and let us know if you’ll be checking for these come September.
The Air Max 97 Sk’s will be available worldwide this September 2nd and do expect them to be something hypebeasts will be stalking until then.
