A Never-Before-Seen Photo of Prince by Steven Klein Covers 'CR Men's Book'
The issue was released in tandem with four '90s-inspired 'CR Fashion Book' covers featuring Lily-Rose Depp, Lara Stone, Alek Wek and Cara Taylor.

It appears that fashion has hit peak '90s, folks. Case in point? The latest edition of Carine Roitfeld's CR Fashion Book is guided by the theme "1999," which Roitfeld sees as "the last moment when fashion felt naïve and innocent and free," according to a press release sent on Tuesday. In order to communicate that spirit, Roitfeld recruited a host of models who fit her vision, from Lily-Rose Depp (who was born in 1999, and whose father is actual '90s icon Johnny Depp) to Lara Stone (who entered the Elite Model Look competition that year).
But the most iconic cover star in the bunch is the late, great Prince, whose song "1999" makes him a bittersweet fit for the nostalgia-tinged issue. A never-before-seen photo of the music icon is featured on the cover of Issue 5 of CR Men's Book; the black-and-white image was shot by Steven Klein in 1989 at Prince's Minnesota estate Paisley Park.
Klein also shot the Lily-Rose Depp and Lara Stone covers for Issue 11 of CR Fashion Book, which will be released in tandem with Issue 5 of CR Men's. Klein's images are joined by covers starring Alek Wek and Cara Taylor shot by Mario Sorrenti. Other photographers whose work is featured in the issue include Sebastian Faena, Bruce Weber, Terry Richardson and Petra Collins.
"1999 is about a spirit of independence, and there are very few independent thinkers left today," Roitfeld said of the inspiration for the issue in a release. "I think right now a lot of people are looking back to this period of time. Not only to find references or get ideas, but to see who they were — how good they were — and hopefully see who they can be again."
See CR Men's Book 5 when they hit newsstands on September 7.

Todd Tucker’s wife is making sure she looks fabulous by checking every detail with her phone.
While Burruss did not speak in the clip, her caption said a lot.
Fans loved the clip and the dress.
One person said: “Omg. I love @kandi so much. I can’t wait for next season.”
Another added: “GORGEOUS!!!You look like Phaedra!this is so cute. Hopefully, it becomes a gif.”
A third commenter stated: “Yasstell em them b******cant even spell unbothered @kandi. Tell Porsha to shut up I hear her voice in the background @kandi Killing it!!”
Is anyone surprised that Burruss is throwing subliminal shade at Williams?
The answer is probably no for a long list of reasons.
The ladies have not been speaking since the rape lie scandal stemming from season nine.
In case you were not following, here is a brief recap.
Parks fed Williams the horrible lie that Tucker and his spouse were planning to drug and rape her in their dungeon.
The attorney tried to defend her tasteless action by saying: “I repeated it because I heard it. Something was brought to me. I just repeated it. I repeated what someone told me. I am not saying I did not say it. I am saying I repeated it.”
The now-fired TV star addressed Burruss directly by stating: “I am sorry — I can apologize, I am sorry Kandi. I should not have repeated it. I am sorry, it was bad judgment on my part. I am sorry. I cannot change it.”
Burruss was not having it. She clapped back by saying: “Do y’all know people would was under my comments saying #KandiAKABillCosby? Do you think that s— is f—— cool?.Y’all know how much I care about my business and my brand. We throw shade, whatever. But drugs? … Drugging somebody while drinking and taking them home is rape. Y’all accused me of being a f—— rapist. That is crazy.”
The drama in season 10 is real.
Empire: What's Up With Demi Moore's Character?
There are lots of questions heading into Season 4 of Empire.
Will Lucious (Terrence Howard) remember anything after his amnesia? How will the Lyons take advantage of this new Lucious... or will they embrace the kinder, gentler man? Will anything surpass the body-bumping masterpiece of "Drip Drop"?
But there's one question we really need to pay attention to. What's up with Demi Moore's character, who is Lucious' nurse? Did you see the way she brought Lucious' hand to her face and then caressed it like weirdo stalker? This is Empire, so you know she's up to something.
"I definitely believe she has tricks up her sleeve," Taraji P. Henson, who plays Cookie in the show, told TV Guide at the Television Critics Association summer press tour. "That is a ratched nurse if I have ever seen one, the way she's grabbing and feeling all over Lucious. She's up to something. And Cookie doesn't like it."
Even Moore's own family is creeped out by her character.
"I remember watching the finale I just didn't realize she was kind of so creepy and had this cool Nurse Ratched undertone to her," said Rumer Willis, who is Moore's real life daughter and who plays Tory on the show.
What is Moore's character really up to? We'll have to find out when Empire Season 4 premieres Wednesday, Sept. 27 at 8/9c on Fox.

Rihanna's New $6.8 Million Mansion in the Hollywood Hills Is Gorgeous!
Rihanna most definitely put in the work, work, work, work, work to own this mega-mansion.
E! News can confirm that the pop songstress recently purchased a home in the Hollywood Hills for $6.8 million, and from the looks of this extraordinary property, Rih-Rih spent her precious pennies wisely. The contemporary style estate sits on close to a half-acre overlooking the Sunset Trip in Los Angeles, and the home itself is an impressive 7,130 square-feet.
It appears as if the singer is finally settling down in La La Land for good. She was last reported to have purchased a Pacific Palisades home for $12 million in 2012, but took up residence in an undisclosed location sometime between 2014 and last year. Rihanna also owns a beachfront property in her native Barbados, which she reportedly purchased in 2013 for $22 million.
But as for the latest addition to her ever growing real estate portfolio, this one rivals even the most luxurious of celebrity homes.

Michael K. Williams has been Cut From ‘Han Solo’
Michael K. Williams is my fave! I’ve loved him ever since he walked through the streets of Baltimore in a trench coat toting a shotgun.
So, it’s with great disappointment that I report he has been cut from the Star Wars stand-alone film, Hans Solo.
Be clear. It had nothing to do with his performance. It was more about the production schedule and his prior commitments.
Via Deadline:Williams said the revamped production schedule conflicted with his commitment to spy drama The Red Sea Diving Resort, his new movie now shooting in South Africa with Ben Kingsley and Chris Evans.
“I felt great about what I created with the directors that I worked with,” said Williams, who was cast in the Han Solo origin story by original helming duo Phil Lord and Chris Miller, who exited in June. “It is what it is.”
“When Ron Howard got hired to finish out the film, there were some reshoot issues that needed to be done in regards to my character, in order for it to match the new direction which the producers wanted Ron to carry the film in,” Williams told Deadline. “And that would have required me on a plane a month ago to London, to Pinewood, to do reshoots. But I’m here, on location in Africa. It’s scheduling. I’m not going to be back on the market until the end of November after [his SundanceTV series] Hap and Leonard, and for them to wait that long for me, that would have pushed back the release date, which I believe is in May 2018. They wanted me now; I couldn’t go. So they had to clip-clip-clip.”
I hate that Michael couldn’t add Han Solo to his resume, but he’s still outchea getting it and that’s all that matters.
Maybe something will work out before it’s all said and done.
Katy Perry Reveals Who She Wants on the ‘American Idol’ Reboot’s Judging Panel With Her
As the only confirmed judge on Fox’s American Idol reboot, Katy Perry is looking to fill the other empty judge’s seats with some powerhouse vocalists.
While calling into On Air With Ryan Seacrest on Wednesday, August 23, the singer revealed that she would like to see Lionel Richie and Charlie Puth beside her mentoring contestants on the series, which Seacrest will return to host.
“I’m really pulling for Lionel because I think Lionel is an icon,” Perry explained. “And not only that, but if you’ve seen or ever met Lionel, he just knows how to charm the whole room and he’s such an artisan with words. . . I love Lionel.”
While Puth, 23, has less experience in the business, Perry explains that’s part of what makes him an appealing choice for the gig. “Charlie I think is an interesting play because Charlie Puth is somewhat new to the general public of America,” the “Swish Swish” singer explained. “Obviously he has his own big fan base, but I think he’s really talented. That song ‘Attention’ is one of my favorite songs this year.”
She added that the “See You Again” crooner’s presence would add a fun contrast between her and Richie. "He’s a writer; he’s a producer; he’s young; he’s fresh; he’s cool; he’s hip. He’s Charlie Puth!”she said. "He’s just some fresh blood. Between Lionel and me, it would be nice to have someone a little bit even more fresh. We’re a different kind of fresh.”
As previously reported, Perry was announced as a judge for the competition series on May 16. “I am honored and thrilled to be the first judge bringing back the American Idol tradition of making dreams come true for incredible talents with authentic personalities and real stories,” Perry said via a press release at the time. “I’m always listening to new music, and love discovering diamonds in the rough — from mentoring young artists on my label, or highlighting new artists on my tours, I want to bring it back to the music.”

Jay-Z and Beyonce have a $52.8M mortgage on their new $88M, which could see them pay back around $252,000 a month over the next 30 years.
The power couple — who is worth more than $1 billion between them — are forking out the huge sum on their new Bel-Air mansion which comes complete with four outdoor swimming pools and a wellness center.
According to the Los Angeles Times, if the pair’s mortgage had an interest rate of four per cent they would be paying more than $252,000 per month for the plush pad over the next 30 years.
If the couple ever need their own space they should find some in the 30,000 square feet of living space, or they might like to treat themselves to a relaxing session in their spa after a tough day recording songs.
Jay, 47, is a big fan of the Brooklyn Nets basketball team, and he has enough space to invite them to Los Angeles for a game as his house boasts a full-size court.
There is also a media room which could be ideal for promoting their latest ventures to help pay for their mortgage, and separate staff quarters.
The pair’s property purchase comes just a few months after they were said to be struggling to find a new family home, despite boasting a budget of around $75 million.
Beyonce, 35, and rapper Jay were said to have been outpriced on abodes they took a fancy to, which were going for double their house fund.

‘Straight Outta Compton’ Star R. Marcos Taylor Charged with Assault
Suge Knight lookalike — aka R. Marcos Taylor — has taken his ‘Straight Outta Compton’ role a little too far.
The actor has been charged with several counts of assault for allegedly punching two people.
via TMZ: The incident went down back on August 9 when sources tell us he punched the manager of a Carrabba’s Italian Grill in Green Brook, NJ several times in the face after an argument escalated.
We’re told several employees dragged Marcos out of the restaurant and a melee ensued … with Marcos allegedly punching a woman on the side of the head.
Marcos was charged with 4 counts of assault, 1 count of criminal mischief and 1 count of disorderly conduct.
We reached out to Marcos, who would only tell us he got jumped that night in the parking lot but would not elaborate. His attorney tells us Marcos never punched or kicked anyone and was defending himself when he tossed one of the employees.

Wiz Khalifa just got replaced by Guns N’ Roses guitarist, Slash. Literally.
Khalifa’s ex-wife once proudly rocked a tattoo of Wiz’s face on the back of her left arm. But now, it looks like the Philly native has swapped the rapper’s ink for that of another musician.
Earlier this week, it became wildly apparent that Wiz’s face was no longer on the mother of one’s arm, instead, the face of Slash. Fans might not’ve known that Rose was such a fan of the Guns N’ Roses guitarist, but yep, pretty sure she is a mega stan.
It’s unclear when the ink was swapped from Wiz to Slash, but just three days ago, the 33-year-old shared a photo on Instagram where you can clearly see the swapped ink.
Amber and Wiz called it quits three years ago and based on recent string of events involving Wiz’s family, doesn’t look like the pair will be reconciling.
Earlier this month, Rose, who is currently dating rapper 21 Savage, filed a restraining order against her ex’s mother, Katie “Peachie” Wimbush-Polk, who Rose believes is still angry that she is no longer with her son and is out to get her.
Rose’s order comes after Peachie filed a defamation lawsuit against the Slut Walk creator.
