BREAKING: Chicago little league team stripped of U.S. championship!
via 6abc: The Chicago-based little league team that won the 2014 U.S. championship, and also eliminated Philadelphia's Taney Dragons, has been stripped of its title.
ESPN.com reported the coach has also been suspended for violating a rule prohibiting the use of players who live outside the geographic area that the team represents, it was announced Wednesday.
The Jackie Robinson West team, the first all-African-American team to win the championship, must vacate wins from the 2014 Little League Baseball International Tournament -- including its Great Lakes Regional and United States championships.
The organization found that the Jackie Robinson team used a falsified boundary map, and that team officials met with neighboring Little League districts in Illinois to claim players and build what amounts to a superteam.

As a result, the United States championship has been awarded to Mountain Ridge Little League from Las Vegas.
Jackie Robinson West was the team that eliminated Philadelphia's Taney Dragons from contention during the 2014 tournament.
Taney had lost to a Las Vegas team in a double elimination round, and then fell to Jackie Robinson West. The Chicago team then went on to the U.S. title game.
They ultimately lost the world championship to a team from Seoul, South Korea.
Taney's run in the LLWS captivated Philadelphia and the country. Pitching phenom Mo'ne Davis became a celebrity last summer, and the 13-year-old girl became the first little leaguer to appear on the cover of Sports Illustrated.

WOW...This is awful that the kids must suffer for what adults did!
