But the five-time Wimbledon champion stood out among the pack given that Williams is rather reserved when it comes to the spotlight.
The California native lands in ESPN's pages five years after her sister, Serena Williams landed on the cover. She poses in a confident, empowering stance while concealing her womanly assets from the camera.
Williams has a quiet power on film and on the tennis court. The successful athlete is currently playing at Wimbledon, having won five singles titiles in her career. And she is only one of four women to accomplish such a feat, according to the New York Daily News.
The nine-time Grand Slam winner has has won many accolades, but endured through a very painful struggle silently for some time. Williams opened up and disclosed never-before-heard details about her battle with Sjogren's syndrome, an autoimmune disorder that forced her to take a six-month break from tennis from 2011-12, reported the newspaper.
"At my worst point, I wasn't able to play tennis at all," said Williams to ESPN. "Just the whole quality of my life was compromised. You are so tired it hurts. You have to accept that you're never going to be 100%."
The 34-year-old Williams also joined a nude Tomas Berdych in the super-revealing issue.
The big ESPN "Body" issue hits newsstands on July 11.

In related news, Gaga is the latest target for PETA after sharing a photo of her French Bulldog Asia draped in heavy jewels.
"Lady Gaga may choose to decorate herself with elaborate and even uncomfortable outfits, but Asia doesn’t get to make that choice," the animal rights group wrote in a statement via its official website.
"Though it seems pretty clear that Lady Gaga loves Asia, we think Asia — and all dogs — are adorable without all the added flair."

Is Casper Smart really suing JLo after their break up for $30,000k a month in palimony? According to reports the two split after Smart was rumored cheating on Jennifer Lopez with a transgender! After two years of living the plush life, Smart wants to keep up with the lifestyle and is reportedly suing his ex-girlfriend JLo for palimony. Palimony is a form of alimony awarded to one of the partners in a romantic relationship after the breakup of that relationship following a long period of living together.

According to a new report, Casper had gotten used to the comfortable style of living due to his relationship with Jennifer. Now, we are hearing rumors that Casper is looking to wage a claim against the singer for $30,000 per month in order to keep him in the lifestyle of which he became accustomed when they were still a couple. Reportedly, the boy toy has hired a top celebrity lawyer in Los Angeles to prepare his claim against his ex-girlfriend. A source said, “He wants her to continue to keep him in the lifestyle he grew accustomed to during their two-and-a-half years living together in her properties on both coasts of the U.S.” Another source said that Casper was looking to double that sum in addition to a one-time six figure payment, but his attorney told him to be “more realistic”. Jennifer is said to be seething over the reports of his impending court claims and is prepared to settle out privately.
Lamar Odom Won’t Divorce Khloe Kardashian – Refuses To Sign Papers 6 Months After Filing
By all accounts, Khloe Kardashian‘s marriage to Lamar Odom appeared to end last summer when his affairs with a few other women became very detailed, public knowledge. It still took her until Christmas to actually file for divorce and in the months that have followed Khloe has been connected to a string of bad boys, including current flame French Montana. It sure looked like Lamar wanted out of the marriage but according to the June 30th print edition of Life & Style Magazine he has yet to sign those divorce papers.
Sources close to Lamar say that he is flat out refusing to sign on the dotted line because he wants Khloe back. Apparently Lamar is now clean and sober and believes that eventually Khloe will give him another chance to make things up to her. Her realizes that her taste in men hasn’t changed, she is still gravitating towards the broken kind which means that he may still have a shot, especially if he can prove he has pulled himself together.
I hate to admit it but I think Lamar might have a real shot at winning Khloe back. I mean French isn’t exactly an upgrade. He’s a serious bad boy that has managed to pull her down with him. Plus her family worries that French is into Khloe’s cash more than he is actually into her. At least Lamar really did love her and had his own bank account, right? Hank Baskett Cheated on Kendra Wilkinson at 8 Months Pregnant with Transsexual Ava Sabrina London
It looks like Hank Baskett‘s stay at a hotel is about to be extended because I don’t think that Kendra Wilkinson is letting him back into their home anytime soon. I think when it was confirmed that he had left the house we all kind of figured that Hank must have really screwed up but I don’t think any of us really saw this coming. According to Celeb Dirty Laundry Hank was caught meeting up with a transsexual, Ava Sabrina London that he had met off of You Tube. Apparently he was mesmerized by her videos and had to check her out in person.
Sources say that they first met up on April 22nd just a few weeks before Kendra gave birth to their daughter and once wasn’t enough. Hank kept in touch with his new side dish and paid her nicely to keep things quiet. Ironically after Hank watched Casper Smart crash and burn over similar allegations he got nervous. Maybe a little too nervous. Hank started calling the side dish begging her to stay quiet and he also tried to buy her silence again- offering up a cool $5 grand.
Hank’s behavior must have sent up a flare for Kendra because she did catch on and now realizes that her man was cheating on her while she was 8 months pregnant. No wonder she bounced him out of their family home. The real question now is whether or not Kendra will even want to try and work things out with her shady husband. No Love in Detroit for Rick Ross, cancelled show because he feared his life
This comes as no surprise, Rick Ross rarely receive loves from the Motor City and this is not the first time he has been dissed in Detroit. Rick Ross was scheduled to perform in Detroit Saturday June 21, 2014 and was blocked from entering the facility. According to sources and concert goers Ross was blocked by roughly 100 people who formed a human blockade not allowing Ross to enter the facility, protesting and harassing Rick Ross. Ross feared for his life and cancelled his performance. The irony is the police claim the protest was peaceful and there was nothing they could do……but Rick Ross still wins because he was paid in advance and left the area. Apparently local Detroit rapper Trick Trick and his goons were the villains blocking Rick Ross from entering, Rozay never even got out of his vehicle. Trick Trick has some “no fly zone” rule he is trying to mandate, rappers from performing in Detroit.
David Rudolph, a spokesperson for The Right Productions, said a report that “100 individuals” harassed Ross outside the venue and forced him to call off his show didn’t lead to any danger at all during the entire Hot 107.5 Summer Jamz 17 event inside.
The Right Productions is the management and booking agency for Chene Park, a 6,000-seat, city-owned outdoor amphitheater along the banks of the Detroit River.
“This issue didn’t happen within Chene Park; it happened outside,” said Rudolph, who noticed a crowd outside the venue as Ross’ camp tried entering around 11 p.m. “And it’s unfortunate that this was a tactic to prevent another artist performing.”
News that Ross was “in fear of his life” in Detroit after 100 individuals allegedly threatened him outside Chene Park came during the show from Jay Hicks, a program director for Detroit radio station Hot 107.5 Fm.
He confirmed the news during a concert that was expected to also have performances from B.o.B., A$AP Ferg, Rico Love, Sevyn Streeter, Scarface and more.
Then Hicks told fans the show was over.
An excerpt from Hicks’ announcement that starts at the video’s 3-minute mark:
“I’m going to be real with y’all; I’m going to be real as (expletive). We had Rick Ross right outside here tonight at about eleven o’clock. As he was pulling in to come into Chene Park, he was met by 100 individuals outside. By 100 individuals outside!”
Detroit Police Department Sgt. Eren Stephens said Sunday afternoon she was unaware of any arrests that were made at Chene Park because of the incident.
She added that no 911 calls were made from the area or any calls for more officers.
“We were not notified,” Stephens said of the Ross concert incident. “There were no calls pertaining to that.”
Honestly if 100 goons would surround my vehicle I would leave as well. Ross actually did a smart thing by leaving…
