BET’s ‘The Game’ Season 7 Get’s BIG Ratings
Alright y’all, the season 7 premiere of BET’s “The Game” ranked as the No. 1 telecast in cable last week, pulling 3.4 million viewers during its initial 10 p.m. ET airing, and another 1 million for the 11:30 p.m. rerun…..Hmm what do you think about that?
Reports are saying, “The Game’s” premiere also ranked as the highest rated sitcom on all cable among women 18-49 this season and the No. 1 scripted series premiere among adults 18-49 on all cable for the year.
Lupita Nyong'o was a Kenyan Soap Opera Star?
Who knew Oscar winner Lupita Nyong'o was a soap star before her movie role debut in 12 Years A Slave?! Well, she was. A few years ago, our lovely Lupita was a hussy who bounced between two men (her boyfriend and her boss) and led a sexually charge lifestyle...as her character on a Kenyan soap opera named "Shuga"!
And this soap (which was actually a multi-part mini series), like all soap operas, was embroiled with lots of sex and drama.
Footage has been released on the net showing her racy work from five years ago, and it's pretty damn steamy. The show was aired via MTV Base Africa, and Lupita played "ambitious go-getter college student Ayira, who sleeps with her boss at Maverick Advertising."
The show, which aired in 40 African countries and soon expanded to 70 stations internationally, had numerous steamy sex scenes. But it wasn't all for sex-on-a-soap purposes. The show was actually used to raise HIV/AIDS awareness as Lupita's character discovered in the first season that she might have contracted the disease.
Lupita, who was a student at Yale School of Drama at the time, spoke to CNN about the show back in 2010 saying, "I think one thing [Shuga] is trying to do is talk about how HIV and AIDS is not a death sentence. [HIV] is a condition that can be managed, if one chooses to do so, if one catches it early on you can live a healthy life with HIV. I’ve been able to be an ambassador for HIV and AIDS."
Lupita even took the cause one step further and became an ambassador with UNICEF to promote education about HIV and AIDS. And she and the entire Shuga cast even made a pact after their season wrapped to all get tested for HIV together.

In related news, the 32-year-old is still working on her fourth studio album, and Lil' Wayne is giving Christina a track on the Young Money: Rise of an Empire album, which is set for release on March 11th.
Christina's song is named "Video Model," featuring her own singing style, alongside Lil' Wayne himself, and will only be featured on the Young Money's deluxe edition.

Marlon Wayans & Lord Jamar Exchange Twitter Disses Over Omar Epps Wearing A Skirt
Yes; you read that right. Omar Epps was spotted wearing a skirt on The View and naturally Lord Jamar was none too pleased. Comedian Marlon Wayans stepped up for his BFF and a new Twitter beef was born.
To many people's surprise, including those who hold Juice in such high accord, Omar Epps appeared om The View to promote his hit television show Resurrection. The Love & Basketball actor strolled on stage with what appeared to be a leather miniskirt over his trousers.
Lord Jamar took to Twitter to express his disappointment in Epps. What should have been just another 140 characters of displeasure about the feminization of the Black man, according to the Brand Nubian founding member, turned into an online slander session with Marlon Wayans.
While Marlon tried to justify his childhood friend's fashion style as "evolving," Jamar was not having any of it. Peep the back and forth exchange.

Arsenio Hall and Jimmy Kimmel Battle For The Top Spot
Arsenio Hall is making big moves since his debut, after Prince performed his show jumped 50% in ratings and ties “Jimmy Kimmel” in the demo. Arsenio sat down with Prince for almost the entire duration of his syndicated talk show and everyone tuned in.
The show was up 56 percent from its February sweeps average, pulling a 1.4 rating in the overnights. That’s the highest overnight Hall has earned since his September 2013 launch week. In addition to a sit-down with Hall, Prince took audience questions and performed three songs.
In a white dominated field, he is doing the unexpected by doing more than what they projected. But of course they will not acknowledge him. I try to tune in whenever I can.

“Happy” singer and super producer Pharrell was spotted down under and was spotted doing some promo with Kevin Hart after hitting up an exclusive restaurant in Sydney, Australia.
Skateboard P hit up the Icebergs Dining Room and Bar at Bondi this week but seemed to have not read the memo on what is proper attire for the upscale eatery. He was rather casual for dinner at such a swanky restaurant, but P can do that!
He performed at the Future Music Festival in Sydney.
Pharrell met Australian politician, Bob Katter who is also famous for wearing his trademark Akubra hat. The iconic politician presented Pharrell with one of his trademark hats.

Later on...Pharrell and funnyman Kevin Hart (who was nominated for two MTV Video Awards) linked up for an interview with Kyle And Jackie O.
Kevin, who's in town to promote Ride Along, and his girlfriend Eniko have been in Australia for a few days and decided to kick back in Melbourne first, then headed to Sydney.

Tami Roman Lands Her Own Reality Show…’Roman Empire’
I guess Tami Roman said forget Basketball Wives, I’m going to get my own show. According to source, the mother of two is currently shooting her own spin-off, Roman Empire (working title).
“We are taping this week for an hour pilot and then going forward from there. My focus is getting this storyline about my life in development and making it something VH1 is proud of and brings in viewers,” she told the Chicago Tribune before revealing her new CBS role. “I have a TV show coming this summer that CBS has asked us not to talk about. It’s with a very well-known and respected Academy Award-winning star. People get to see me back in the lane I was in before returning to reality TV.”

Jermaine Dupri HOSTS A Private Dinner For Bow Wow With Bow's Ex Angela Simmons, Stephen Hill & More
Hennessy V.S and Jermaine Dupri hosted a private dinner at Tao Downtown in NYC to honor Bow Wow and his recent success as the host of BET's 106 & Park. We must admit, he has helped reviatlize the show for the youngins.
Bow Wow, who turned 27 wore a charcoal gray shirt with a leather collar and matching leather skinny tie.
He was joined by his longtime friend and ex Angela Simmons.
The chick from LAHH NYC, BET President Stephen Hill, and Bow Wow's mom Teresa were also among the attendees.
