#MAGFAB: Regé-Jean Page for Esquire UK - April 2026
YOU, ME & TUSCANY star Regé-Jean Page for ESQUIRE UK’s April digital cover photographed by Christianah Ebenezer and styled by Crystalle Cox.
Page points out later in our conversation, he hasn’t had a Black woman as his love interest since the 2016 television remake of Roots, which is largely set on a plantation, “a fairly unimaginative place to only find Black love interests”. “I think it’s important to normalise your own existence,” Page says. “To normalise seeing two Black leads in a film that is about a universal experience of escaping to find true love in Italy.”

And in a time-honoured tradition for up-and-coming British actors, his name became instantly attached to the Bond franchise (current odds: 14/1). What was it like being on the receiving end of all that?
“It is strange, it’s not normal,” he says. He calls the “intensity” around the Bond question in particular “a little unusual”. Page has clearly thought a lot about this period, and he takes time to think about it now. “How I navigate it is very much about what is useful, what serves me in my job, in being able to deliver what I need to deliver to an audience, and a lot of that is just grounding,” he says. It can be fun to interact with some of that, but it’s clearly a balancing act for Page. “It does get quite loud on the inside, like it was very, very intense, that combination of conversation, and I think I worked quite consciously to be able to navigate that environment with some normalcy for myself.”

#RHOA: Kim Zolciak Loses Custody of Kids Until She Completes Therapy Amid Kroy Biermann Divorce
Kim Zolciak is not allowed to see her four youngest children until she completed therapy.
According to new court documents obtained by TMZ on Friday (April 3), the 47-year-old former Real Housewives of Atlanta star has been stripped of custody of the four children she shares with ex-husband Kroy Biermann until she finishes four mandatory parent therapy sessions.
For the time being, the four children – Kroy Jr., 14, Kash, 13, and 12-year-old twins Kaia and Kane – will reside with Kroy, 40.
According to the court order, the earliest Kim can be reunited with her children is April 13.
The ruling comes just days after Kroy requested sole custody of the former couple’s children over Kim‘s alleged “mismanagement of basic parenting responsibilities.”
Kroy asked a judge to amend their joint custody agreement, alleging that Kim has been out of the country for weeks, according to TMZ.
The former pro football player reportedly insisted that “the facts surrounding [Zolciak’s] misguided parenting of the children, lack thereof, and blatant mismanagement of basic parenting responsibilities would be practically unbelievable to anyone not familiar with the circumstances.”
He also accused Kim of committing “fraud and deceit” when they agreed up their current joint custody agreement. He also alleged that Kim has only seen kids once between February 26 and March 29.
Kim slammed Kroy‘s allegations, sharing in a statement to TMZ, “These accusations are completely false and nothing more than a deliberate attempt by Kroy to defame my character. I spent five weeks away working on two TV shows to support my family and make sure my children are cared for—something I will never apologize for.”
She added, “I refuse to be bullied or have lies twisted into a narrative about who I am. I will not stay silent, the truth is on my side, and it will come to light—no matter how hard anyone tries to bury it.”
Kroy filed for divorce from Kim back in August 2023 and the two have been in a nasty legal battle ever since.

#NewMusic from Dave Hollister Returns With ‘Thought You Knew’

Dave Hollister is back. The R&B veteran has released “Thought You Knew,” his first single in a decade, via Death Row Records/gamma.
Produced by Soopafly and Snoop Dogg, “Thought You Knew” is a sweet reminder to a partner that the love hasn’t gone anywhere and remains intact.
“I thought you knew / How I love you / Now you know / Don’t you forget / And we aren’t done yet, are we?” Hollister sings.
“Thought You Knew” is Hollister’s first solo release since his 2016 album, The MANuscript. The 10-track album, released via Shanachie Entertainment, includes the single “Definition of a Woman.”
Regarding the latter track, Hollister said, “Love feels so good. Those of us men who have been fortunate enough to experience true love wrapped in romance can attest to the fact that there’s nothing else like it. It’s a very specific feeling to have the love of a woman.”
Speaking on his album, he told This Is RnB, “With The MANuscript, ladies, this is the record to give your man when he ain’t acting right or when you want him to get right or if he wants to get right. It’s an album for any woman to give her man or a brother or a cousin and say, ‘Listen here: I need this from you.’ I also made this record for men to give to a woman. Like, “I think I’m this dude. If this ain’t what you want, I gotta bounce.’ It was for a dual purpose.”
Hollister has kept a relatively low profile since The MANuscript. In 2021, he joined forces with Donell Jones, appearing on his “Karma (Remix)” alongside Carl Thomas, RL and Jacquees. The same year, he formed the R&B supergroup The Chi with fellow Chicago natives Jones and Thomas.
In 2024, Syleena Johnson joined The Chi in place of Jones. The trio performed together for the first time at the Black Music Honors, held the same year. However, they have yet to release music as The Chi.
Hollister is the latest R&B veteran to make a return following an extended hiatus. In February, Jill Scott released her first album in 11 years, To Whom This May Concern. On the same day (Feb. 13), Jamie Foxx dropped “Somebody,” his first single since 2015. Last month, Glenn Lewis released “Past Tense,” ending his first single in 13 years. Additionally, Blackstreet, of which Hollister was formerly a member, confirmed plans to release new music in 2026; it would be their first release since 2003’s Level II.

#HipHopNews: Pooh Shiesty Arrested on Robbery, Kidnapping Charges Over Alleged Gucci Mane Label Dispute
Rappers Pooh Shiesty and Big30 have been arrested alongside multiple other suspects on federal robbery and kidnapping charges in Texas, the Department of Justice announced today, April 2. The charges stem from an “armed takeover” of a Dallas recording studio in January, allegedly in response to a dispute over Pooh Shiesty’s contract with Gucci Mane’s label, 1017.
The complaint alleges that three “music industry professionals” traveled to Dallas on January 10, for a meeting arranged by Pooh Shiesty—real name Lontrell Williams, Jr.—to discuss the terms of a record deal. Inside the studio, nine people, including the aforementioned suspects, orchestrated an “armed takeover.” One of the nine held a victim at gunpoint with an AK pistol, forcing them to sign a release from the recording contract, the DOJ claims. Pitchfork has reached out to lawyers for Pooh Sheisty and Gucci Mane for comment.
Big30 reportedly barricaded the door with his body as the defendants produced more firearms, proceeding to rob the plaintiffs of Rolex watches, jewelry, cash, and other items. One individual was allegedly choked to near unconsciousness. The DOJ claims that after the defendants left the studio, several of them displayed the stolen goods on social media. On April 2, eight out of nine suspects were arrested across three cities: Memphis, Nashville, and Dallas. The ninth individual, Terrance Rodgers, has not been taken into custody.
After gaining recognition with singles like “Twerksum” and “Back In Blood,” Pooh Sheisty signed to 1017 in 2021. In 2022, he was sentenced to five years in prison for a Florida gun conspiracy conviction in Miami. According to court records, Pooh Sheisty was still in home detention, which required that he did not commit another federal crime or possess a firearm. In 2024, Gucci Mane announced that he was releasing all of his artists from the imprint except for Pooh Sheisty and Foogiano. By October 2025, Pooh Sheisty was released from prison; he put out a single, “FDO,” two months later.
If convicted on the new charges, Pooh Sheisty and the other suspects face life imprisonment. Ryan Raybould, the U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Texas, said in a press hearing, “This case should serve as a warning to others who believe that using violence and intimidation tactics to rob others in our community is a viable way to conduct business.”

Geno Auriemma apologizes for Final Four dustup with Dawn Staley

UConn Huskies head coach Geno Auriemma apologized on Saturday after a heated exchange with South Carolina Gamecocks head coach Dawn Staley on Friday. The incident occurred in the final seconds of No. 1 South Carolina’s 62-48 upset over No. 1 Connecticut at midcourt.
Auriemma and Staley, two of the biggest names in women's college hoops, had to be separated at the end of the Final Four classic.
In a statement Auriemma said that "there’s no excuse for how I handled the end of the game vs. South Carolina."
"It was uncalled for in how I reacted. The story should be how well South Carolina played, and I don’t want my actions to detract from that," he wrote. "I’ve had a great relationship with their staff, and I sincerely want to apologize to them.”
A representative for the University of South Carolina said the athletics program would not be not issuing a statement on Auriemma's actions and referred NBC News to Staley's public responses in interviews.
When asked after the game what angered Auriemma, Staley told ESPN’s Holly Rowe on Friday: "I have no idea."
"But [I’ll] let you know this: I’m of integrity. I’m of integrity. So if I did something wrong to Geno, I had no idea what I did," she said. "I guess he thought I didn’t shake his hand at the beginning of the game."
Staley added: “I didn’t know, I went down there pregame, shook everybody on his staff’s hand, I don’t know what he came with after the game. But hey, sometimes things get heated, we move on.”

ESPN's broadcast showed Staley and Auriemma appearing to shake hands before Friday's game, though it was brief.
On Friday, Auriemma addressed the handshake to reporters: “I said what I said, and obviously she didn’t like it. I just told the truth.”
"The protocol is, before the game, you meet at halfcourt,” Auriemma added. "The two coaches meet at halfcourt and they shake hands. They announce it on the loud speaker. I waited there for like three minutes."
Connecticut was on a 54-game winning streak before Friday. The Huskies won last year’s national championship against South Carolina, led by Staley.

Bishop Marvin Sapp Marries Dr. La’Boris Cole
Gospel singer and pastor Marvin Sapp is celebrating a new chapter in his personal life. The award-winning artist recently married Dr. La’Boris Cole in a private ceremony in Texas.
The couple exchanged vows on March 20, 2026, at The Chosen Vessel, the church where Sapp serves as senior pastor. The intimate wedding brought together close relatives and longtime friends for a deeply personal celebration.
In comments shared with Essence, Sapp revealed the couple had been quietly planning their wedding for more than a year. “We wanted something sacred and intimate,” he said. “This moment reflects faith, healing and the grace of new beginnings.”
Supporters across the gospel community expressed surprise when news of the ceremony emerged. However, many fans quickly filled social media with congratulatory messages for the newlyweds.
Sapp has spent decades shaping modern gospel music through both ministry and performance. The singer reached global audiences with his powerful worship anthem Never Would Have Made It, a song widely embraced by churches and listeners around the world.
Despite his professional success, the marriage marks a significant personal milestone. In 2010, Sapp lost his first wife, MaLinda Sapp, after her battle with cancer. The tragedy deeply affected the pastor and his family.
Over the years, Sapp often spoke publicly about grief and faith while raising their children. “God carried me through seasons I never imagined,” he shared in past reflections about loss and resilience.

Now, his union with Dr. Cole signals a hopeful new season built on faith and shared purpose. Those close to the couple describe Cole as a respected leader who brings compassion and strength into their partnership.
“This is not just a marriage,” one supporter wrote online. “It’s a testimony of restoration.”
Holding the ceremony at The Chosen Vessel added spiritual meaning to the day. The church has served as both Sapp’s pastoral home and a central place of worship for his congregation.
For many fans, the wedding represents more than a romantic milestone. It reflects a story of perseverance, healing and renewed joy after profound loss.

Brandy Distance From Ray J Over Public Behavior and Personal Peace
Brandy is opening up about why she’s distancing herself from her younger brother, Ray J, citing public behavior that she said she can no longer support.
The “The Boy Is Mine” songstress revealed in a recent interview that she has made the difficult decision to distance herself from the reality television star to maintain her personal peace.
“There is distance right now,” Brandy said during a candid conversation regarding her family life. “There are a few things that he’s been doing in the public eye that I don’t condone, and I just feel like loving him from afar right now is best for me.”
While the Grammy Award winner did not specify which of Ray J’s recent antics led to the separation, the “Sexy Can I” singer has been a lightning rod for controversy in recent years. His public life has been marked by volatile social media outbursts and high-profile legal and personal disputes, many of which have played out on reality television and Instagram.
Despite the current tension, Brandy insisted that her sibling bond remains a cornerstone of her identity. The singer is currently promoting her new memoir, which details her meteoric rise to fame, her struggles in the music industry, and her deep-seated love for her family. She noted that Ray J is a central figure throughout her written history. “My life with Ray and my connection with him is all throughout the book, and my love for him never wavers,” Brandy said.
The siblings have historically been seen as one of the closest duos in Hollywood, often supporting one another through career highs and public scandals. This public admission marks a significant shift for the Norwood family, who have often presented a united front in the press.
Ray J has not yet issued a formal public statement in response to his sister’s remarks.

La Toya Jackson has recently drawn attention for her strikingly slim appearance during a somber family event, causing concern among fans and followers.
The 69-year-old member of the famed Jackson family attended the funeral of her niece-in-law, Toyia Jackson, earlier this week. Toyia, who was married to Jackie Jackson’s son, passed away after a battle with cancer. Jackie Jackson is La Toya Jackson’s older brother and a member of the legendary group The Jackson 5.
At the funeral, La Toya Jackson wore an eye-catching black outfit that included thigh-high suede boots, a ruffled mini skirt, and a black satin blouse. Her look was accented with a chunky leather belt that highlighted her notably small waist, along with sunglasses, a wide-brim hat, and a Chanel brooch.
However, it was not her ensemble that caught the most attention online but her noticeably thin frame. Media outlets and fans quickly began discussing her appearance, with some expressing worry about her health.
One media source, Media Take Out, used AI technology named Claude to analyze photographs from the funeral. By examining her visible body proportions relative to her known height of 5 feet 4 inches, the AI estimated that La Toya Jackson might weigh between 85 and 88 pounds.
While such AI-generated weight estimates are not medical assessments, this analysis intensified speculation that La Toya Jackson has become significantly thinner than in previous years.
Social media users responded with mixed reactions. Some praised her enduring fashion sense and ability to maintain a slender figure after decades in the spotlight. Others voiced genuine concern for her well-being.
One fan commented, "We love you Toy. It’s time to eat a sandwich." Another remarked, "My arm can’t even fit in her boot. I hope she’s okay." On the other hand, some supporters reminded critics that La Toya Jackson has always been naturally petite.
This is not the first time La Toya Jackson has been in the spotlight for her thinness. In December, she went viral after sharing a video on social media that many viewers felt showed an alarmingly slim frame. The clip garnered millions of views and again sparked health-related speculation.
At that time, La Toya Jackson addressed her fans with a short message: "I hear you, I see you, I send you love." She encouraged her followers to stay positive, though her words did little to quell public debate.
Last year, La Toya Jackson shared videos of herself attending doctor’s appointments, describing the visits as routine checkups. In one clip, she mentioned, "I’m here at the doctor again, hoping everything goes well." A few days later, she posted another video about returning for additional tests but did not disclose the nature of these appointments.
Despite ongoing speculation, La Toya Jackson has not publicly announced any health issues. For now, many fans simply hope she is doing well and maintaining her health.
After a lifetime in the public eye as a member of one of music’s most famous families, La Toya Jackson remains a recognizable figure whose every appearance continues to attract attention and concern.

A man was apprehended early Wednesday for trespassing on the property of Nicki Minaj’s Hidden Hills mansion in Los Angeles, authorities confirmed.
The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department identified the suspect as 36-year-old Leland Adams. He was taken into custody in Northwest Los Angeles but reportedly did not enter the rapper’s residence, according to USA Today.
Los Angeles jail records indicate that Adams was booked on a misdemeanor trespassing charge at the Lost Hills station on Wednesday.
TMZ reported that Nicki Minaj was not present at her Hidden Hills estate when the trespassing occurred.
In 2024, Minaj’s residence became central to a lawsuit involving an assault case. A judge mandated that Minaj pay $500,000 to German security guard Thomas Weidenmüller, who claimed he was assaulted by Minaj’s husband, Kenneth "Zoo" Petty, during the 2019 Nicki WRLD Tour.
Initially refusing to pay the settlement, Minaj and Petty faced a court order to sell their 11,000-square-foot Hidden Hills property, valued at $20 million, to fulfill the judgment. The sale was averted after they made a last-minute payment to Weidenmüller in January, securing the mansion.
The "Super Bass" artist has also been involved in another legal dispute as of March. Production company 24/7 Productions (USA) Inc. filed a lawsuit alleging that Minaj failed to pay $275,000 for their services during her 2023 performances at iHeartRadio’s Jingle Ball concerts and the launch of Pink Friday 2 in December 2023.
According to the company’s legal representatives, despite numerous attempts over nearly two years to recover the payments, Minaj has not settled any portion of the invoices. Notably, 24/7 Productions continued to work on Minaj’s Pink Friday 2 World Tour in 2024 even after the payments were missed.
Billboard has reached out to both the Los Angeles Police Department and Nicki Minaj’s representatives for comments regarding the trespassing incident and the ongoing legal matters but has not yet received a response.

Regina Hall Says ‘Girls Trip 2’ Won’t Happen Until Script Meets Expectations

Regina Hall is setting expectations straight about the future of Girls Trip. During a recent interview with Craig Melvin for *Glass Half Full*, the actress revealed that a sequel isn’t moving forward just yet.
“Until the script is right and we haven’t gotten that yet,” Hall said, making it clear that quality is the priority. She doubled down, adding, “They have not gotten a script that’s right.”
Tiffany Haddish previously stated that filming would begin this year.
While fans have been eager for another installment, Hall’s comments suggest the cast is holding out for a storyline that lives up to the original’s success.

WATCH:
One crew member recalled confusion after arriving on set, stating to Deadline, “When I got there, nobody mentioned anything about people falling out the window…It seemed weird to me.”
Kilcoyne’s representatives later confirmed the actor “is doing well and was taken care of immediately by production.”
The incident reportedly intensified concerns already raised by crew members, including issues with safety protocols, falling props, and hazardous filming locations. More than half the crew ultimately backed union efforts through the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE), prompting a strike.
Producers, however, pushed back strongly, stating they “don’t negotiate with communists,” as tensions between labor and production continue to escalate.
Hopefully Jonathan Majors is okay.

#RIP: Legendary Drummer James Gadson Dies At 86

Drummer James Gadson, responsible for some of the funkiest breakbeats of all time, has died at 87 years old.
News of Gadson’s death was announced on Thursday (April 3) to Rolling Stone by the musician’s wife, Barbara, who did not provide a cause of death. Gadson has reportedly completed recent surgery after suffering a fall.
The instrumentalist, who provided backing for Diana Ross, Marvin Gaye, Bill Withers, and more, provided the beat on classic soul material like Ross’ “Love Hangover,” Withers’ “Use Me,” and Gaye’s “I Want You,” the last of which was prominently sampled in 2022 Kendrick Lamar single “The Heart Part 5.”
Gadson was a second-generation drummer following his father, and relocated from his hometown of Kansas City to Los Angeles in the 1960s. While there, Gadson played in the Charles Wright & the Watts 103rd Street Rhythm Band, who, among other songs, released the 1970 classic “Express Yourself,” which would go on to be sampled by N.W.A. on their 1988 single of the same name.
Following the news of Gadson’s passing, The Roots drummer Questlove heralded the late musician as “breakbeats defined” and listed a ton of classic grooves he created, including those on Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive” and The Jackson 5’s “Dancing Machine.”
In his later career, Gadson performed with contemporary artists like Justin Timberlake, Beck, Lana Del Rey, and Harry Styles.

The NCAA Championship is Set in Indianapolis as Power Programs Clash For Shot At Title Game
College basketball’s biggest weekend arrives Saturday as the 2026 Men’s NCAA Final Four tips off inside Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Four programs remain, each with a clear path to Monday night’s championship game.
The opening semifinal features UConn and Illinois, scheduled for 6:09 p.m. ET on TBS. UConn enters the matchup riding momentum after a dramatic comeback victory over Duke. Guard Braylon Mullins delivered in the closing seconds of that game, helping push the Huskies into their third Final Four appearance in four years.
Illinois, on the other side, has carved its path through defense. The Illini have consistently slowed down high-powered offenses throughout the tournament, including standout performances against Iowa and Houston. Their ability to control tempo has become their defining trait heading into Saturday.
Later in the evening, Michigan and Arizona meet in a clash of No. 1 seeds at 8:49 p.m. ET on TBS. Michigan has looked dominant throughout the tournament under head coach Dusty May, including a decisive win over Tennessee that reinforced their status as a top contender.
Arizona arrives with its own statement run. The Wildcats ended a lengthy Final Four drought by defeating Purdue, leaning on a balanced roster that has produced at both ends of the floor. Their depth and cohesion have made them a difficult matchup throughout March.
Both semifinal winners will advance to the national championship game on Monday, April 6, set for 8:50 p.m. ET.
Beyond the court, fans will also have an alternate viewing option. TNT Sports is airing a special “Fab Five” reunion broadcast on truTV featuring Chris Webber, Jalen Rose, Juwan Howard, Jimmy King, and Ray Jackson, offering a different perspective on the games.
Heading into the weekend, Arizona and Michigan are widely viewed as co-favorites to win the title. Still, with UConn’s recent tournament pedigree and Illinois’ defensive edge, the Final Four field presents no clear outcome, setting the stage for a highly competitive finish to the season.
