#FASHIONFAB: Sundance Film Festival 2026: Danielle Brooks and J. Alphonse Nicholson at the IF I GO WILL THEY MISS ME Premiere

Danielle Brooks and her co-star J. Alphonse Nicholson joined their director Walter Thompson-Hernandez at the Sundance Film Festival premiere of If I Go Will They Miss Me. Did we forget to mention that looks were served? Because looks were served.

If you can’t break out a gown-length leather dress at Sundance, when else are you going to wear it? Cannes? Venice? She came correct. Mostly. Clearly, the bust isn’t fitting at all and there’s no real way to correct for that. If we’d been on her style team, we’d have suggested ditching the gloves and getting her in, say, a fuzzy white shrug or cropped cardi; something to provide her with coverage that plays well with all that leather. As always, hair and makeup look gorgeous.
ABOUT THE MOVIE:
IF I GO WILL THEY MISS ME
Twelve-year-old Lil Ant struggles to connect with his father when he begins to see surreal, almost spectral visions of boys drifting around his neighborhood. Their presence reveals a link between father and son, laying bare the threads that bind family, legacy, and place.
Set in the working-class Watts neighborhood in South Los Angeles, writer-director Walter Thompson-Hernández’s moving family drama focuses on a fraught father-son relationship. Big Ant is just out of prison and struggling to reconnect with his wife, Lozita (Danielle Brooks), and adolescent son, Lil Ant, a sensitive artist yearning for a role model. Adapted from his acclaimed short (2022 Sundance Film Festival, Short Film Jury Award: U.S. Fiction), Thompson-Hernández audaciously combines social and magical realism, charting the emotional trajectory of a conflicted dad and his restless son. Dense with allusions to Greek mythology, but grounded in documentary detail, the film has its head in the clouds without losing sight of the street-level conditions that shape its characters’ lives. If I Go Will They Miss Me is a loving, lyrical portrait of life under the LAX flight path. — MC Sundance Film Festival)

#RHOP: Season 10 Reunion Trailer: Karen Puts Stacey And Wendy In The Hot Seat In Her Grande Dame Return
The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 10 trailer is here, and it looks to be a doozy.
Andy Cohen will sit down with Gizelle Bryant, Ashley Darby, Wendy Osefo, Stacey Rusch, Keiarna Stewart, Tia Glover, Angel Massie, as well as friends Monique Samuels and Jassi Rideaux, as Karen Huger makes her RHOP return.

With Osefo and Rusch in the first two chairs, both of them are in the hot seat for most of the trailer, and both of them seem to be taking heat from Huger.
Yes, the Grand Dame, who was absent during most of the season due to her incarceration stemming from a DUI conviction, is back with the ladies. Also, Massie, who fell victim to group critiques many times during the season, is shown to be on the defensive a lot in the trailer, and Samuels, who returned in a Ffiend role after a years-long absence from the show, looks to be shedding clarity on what she’s learned about the nature of her ex-husband’s relationship with Rusch.

How many parts is the ‘RHOP’ Season 10 reunion?
The reunion will be three parts. Check out the descriptions and watch the trailer below:

“Reunion Part I” – Feb. 15 at 8 p.m.
While the women of Potomac gather to discuss Season 10, the topic on everyone’s mind is Wendy’s recent challenges. Stacey is held accountable for her season of alleged loose truths. Angel confronts the women in regard to her treatment in the friend group. Tensions with Ashley boil over.

“Reunion Part II” airs Feb. 22 at 8 p.m.
Ashley continues to defend her shady reaction to Wendy’s legal challenges and is later confronted about other controversial moments. Keiarna gives an update on her life with Greg, only to have Jassi drop an alleged bomb about their relationship. Monique joins the stage and brings evidence against Stacey.

“Reunion Part III” airs March 1 at 8 p.m.
The women revisit the Colorado trip and Angel explains what could have been done differently. Karen returns and brings her reactions to the season, while also providing updates about her life post-release. Andy questions Wendy about the details of her pending case and Karen gives her some shocking advice.

The series is produced by Truly Original with Steven Weinstock, Glenda Hersh, Lauren Eskelin, Lorraine Lawson, Nora Devin Zimmerman, Leola Westbrook-Lawrence and Jackie Hebert serving as executive producers. Nick Prescott and EJ Dutton are co-executive producers. Cohen also executive produces.

#MusicNews: Sammie Releases Video For Latest Single “Old Alone”

R&B artist Sammie has released the visual for his latest single, “Old Alone,” ahead of his scheduled 2026 project. The track marks a continuation of his work as an independent artist, following a career that began with his 1999 debut.

“Old Alone” is a mid-tempo R&B record that focuses on the themes of long-term commitment and the realities of aging within a relationship. The song’s lyrical content shifts away from contemporary “situationship” trends, instead detailing a narrative about finding a partner to remain with through later stages of life.

LISTEN HERE:

The track features a melodic, vocal-forward production style consistent with Sammie’s established R&B catalog. The arrangement emphasizes his tenor range, utilizing a lush instrumental backdrop that aligns with adult contemporary R&B standards.
Since emerging as a teen artist, Sammie has maintained a consistent presence in the genre. “Old Alone” serves as a technical showcase of his current vocal capabilities and a shift in subject matter toward more mature, reflective storytelling.
The single is currently being serviced to R&B radio outlets and digital streaming platforms as part of his 2026 rollout.

#HipHopNews: Pooh Shiesty Is Back And Linking With GloRilla After Prison Release
Pooh Shiesty is rebuilding his rap career after serving three years in federal prison.
His new single “FDO” hit No. 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, marking a strong return.
A new collaboration with GloRilla is generating buzz and signaling his creative momentum.

Memphis rapper Pooh Shiesty walked out of federal prison in October 2025 after serving three years of a five-year sentence for a 2022 firearm conviction. Ever since, he’s been working to get his rap career back on track, which includes pushing new music and linking up in the studio with GloRilla.

Back in December, the Memphis rapper assured his fans by telling Ebro Darden on Apple Music that a new album was “on the way, on the way.” However, he refused to provide a specific timeline.
Pooh’s last album was 2021’s Shiesty Season, a commercial mixtape that has since been certified double platinum. Recently, he dropped a new single, “FDO” (an acronym for “First Day Out”), and the song hit No. 12 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart in early January.

The artist born Lontrell Denell Williams, Jr. spoke to Billboard in a recent interview and explained his hit single is only the start considering his career is still in its infancy. “You gotta think about it, I was in jail more time than I was rapping,” said Pooh, who had only been rapping seriously a couple of years before he got locked up. “The times I was rapping versus the time I got out is way different. I talk way different. I got more lingo and got way more experience. I’m five years older. Faster, smarter, sober [and] wiser.”

After “FDO,” fans got excited when Pooh and GloRilla were spotted in the studio together (along with an obscene amount of $100 bills) in early January. The Memphis natives teased a new song that swiftly got social media excited to hear the full course. So far there’s no word on when or where the track will officially land (Big Glo also has a new album due in 2026), but it sounds like they have more in the tank.

“That’s my dog. I’ve been f**king with Glo for a minute, so it was just like we can’t wait to see each other to get that chemistry up and build that bond,” Pooh told Billboard. “We have a lot of s**t in common. We moving like we’re relatable. S**t perfect. She’s like a little female version of me. She hard. I f**k with Glo tough.”

#RIP: 'Sanford and Son' co-star Demond Wilson dies at 79

Demond Wilson, the actor best known for playing Lamont Sanford, the son in the popular 1970s NBC primetime comedy series Sanford and Son, has died.
The actor died from complications related to cancer Friday at his home in the Palm Springs area of Southern California. He was 79. Wilson's publicist, Mark Goldman, confirmed the death in an email to NPR.

"I had the privilege of working with Demond for 15 years, and his loss is profoundly felt," said Goldman. "He was an unbelievable man, and his impact will never be forgotten."
Wilson was in his 20s when he landed the role of Lamont Sanford, the put-upon offspring of the cantankerous Fred Sanford, played by Redd Foxx. The dad got all the best lines, but junior held his own in their frequent disputes. Wilson reminisced about his time on the series in his 2009 memoir Second Banana: The Bitter Sweet Memoirs of the Sanford and Son Years.

Producers Norman Lear and Bud Yorkin based Sanford and Son on the well-known 1960s-early 70s British TV comedy series about a blue collar father-son relationship, Steptoe and Son. Sanford and Son was groundbreaking in offering a glimpse into Black family life rarely seen on network television at the time. "The character between the son and the father was very interesting to me and to Norman in the sense that, despite the fact that they lived together and complained and so forth, they couldn't live without each other," said Yorkin in a 2008 interview with NPR.

Wilson went on to star as a struggling gambler in the sitcom Baby…I'm Back! in the late 1970s, and as the more laid-back of the divorcees in The New Odd Couple, a TV show based on Neil Simon's hit play The Odd Couple. His film credits include Cotton Comes to Harlem (1970), The Organization (1971), Full Moon High (1981) and Hammerlock (2000).

Wilson was born in Valdosta, Ga., in 1946 to a working class Catholic family and grew up in New York City's Harlem neighborhood. He studied dance as a child and performed on Broadway. He went on to serve in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. Upon his return, he appeared in various shows on- and off-Broadway, and eventually moved to Los Angeles. In 1971, Lear cast him in an episode of the popular sitcom All in the Family. The following year, Sanford and Son set him on a path to stardom.
Wilson carried a strong Christian faith since childhood. After suffering a life-threatening rupture to his appendix at age 12, he sought to find a way to devote his life to God. In the 1980s, he was ordained as a Pentecostal minister, and went on to lead parallel careers in acting and preaching. His 1998 book, The New Age Millennium: An Expose of Symbols, Slogans and Hidden Agenda, is a critique from a Christian perspective of the New Age movement and Freemasonry, among other quasi-spiritual approaches.

He's survived by his wife, Cicely Johnston, their six children and two grandchildren.
In a statement emailed his son Demond Wilson Jr., said the senior Wilson was "a devoted father, actor, author, and minister."
"Demond lived a life rooted in faith, service, and compassion," the statement read. "Through his work on screen, his writing, and his ministry, he sought to uplift others and leave a meaningful impact on the communities he served."

#RIP: Catherine O’Hara, brilliant star of ‘Home Alone’ and ‘Schitt’s Creek’ Has Died at 71
Catherine O’Hara, the radiant actress whose singular comedic delivery helped elevate movies and TV shows like “Beetlejuice,” “Home Alone” and “Schitt’s Creek” to cult classic status, has died. She was 71.
A statement from CAA, the agency that represented O’Hara, said the actress died Friday “at her home in Los Angeles following a brief illness.”
O’Hara got her start at Second City in her native Canada, before turning to film, where she brought to life two of cinema’s most memorable mothers.

In 1988’s “Beetlejuice,” she played Delia Deetz, a devilish mom who made no secret of her love for “Prince Valium” and turned lip syncing into an art form. She reprised the role in 2024’s “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.”
In 1990’s “Home Alone,” O’Hara turned a one-word movie line (“KEVIN!”) into pop culture history. As a frazzled mom of five who left one of her brood (Macaulay Culkin) at home during their holiday trip to France, O’Hara brought heart and humor to the now classic Christmas movie. A sequel was released in 1992.
Just two years ago, O’Hara showed up to the Walk of Fame ceremony as her on-screen son Culkin received his star.

“Thank you for including me, your fake mom who left you home alone not once, but twice, to share in this happy occasion,” O’Hara told him. “I’m so proud of you.”

On Friday, Culkin paid tribute to O’Hara on social media, addressing her as “mama.” “I thought we had time,” he wrote. “I wanted more. I wanted to sit in a chair next to you. I heard you but I had so much more to say. I love you.”

“Home Alone” director Chris Columbus said he was “stunned and heartbroken” by O’Hara’s passing and praised the “profound emotional depth” she brought to the movie.
“What most people don’t realize is that Catherine carries the weight of 50% of that film. The movie simply would not work without her extraordinary performance,” he told CNN in a statement.
He added: “I will miss her greatly. Yet there is a small sense of comfort, realizing that two of the finest human beings I’ve ever known, Catherine and John Candy, are together again, brilliantly improvising, making each other laugh.”

Candy had a part in the movie, playing a traveling musician whose band helps O’Hara’s character get home to her child.
After the success of “Home Alone,” she turned to collaborating with director Christopher Guest, starring in many of his iconic mockumentaries, including “Waiting for Guffman” (1996) and “Best in Show” (2000).
“I am devastated,” Guest told CNN in a statement. “We have lost one of the comic giants of our age.”

In those films, O’Hara worked often alongside Eugene Levy, becoming a signature duo who went on to co-star in the acclaimed series “Schitt’s Creek” together. As wayward posh actress Moira Rose, O’Hara’s one-liners were meme gold and earned her critical praise.
O’Hara won an Emmy in 2020 during a Covid-era ceremony that saw stars masked up and celebrating while scattered across the globe, with the action captured on 130 dispatched cameras.

In her speech, O’Hara thanked creators Eugene and Dan Levy for “bestowing me the opportunity to play a woman of a certain age, my age, who gets to fully be her ridiculous self.”
On Friday evening, Dan Levy wrote on Instagram that O’Hara and his father spent over 50 years collaborating, so he counted her as “extended family before she ever played my family.”

“It’s hard to imagine a world without her in it. I will cherish every funny memory I was fortunate enough to make with her,” he wrote.
O’Hara also won a Golden Globe for her performance on the show in 2021.
“Moira’s way more interesting than I am,” she once told the New York Times. “And the fun thing about her was that she was an actor, so I could, once in a while, get to perform or get to do an accent. Once you’ve had that in your life, it’s really hard to give up.”

Most recently, O’Hara played a fallen executive in “The Studio,” for which she was nominated for a Golden Globe and an Emmy Award. She also appeared in a critical role in Season 2 of HBO Max’s “The Last of Us,” for which she was also nominated for an Emmy.

Star Pedro Pascal called O’Hara a “genius” on a tribute posted to his Instagram page.
“There is less light in my world, this lucky world that had you, will keep you, always,” he wrote.
O’Hara is survived by her husband Bo Welch and sons Matthew and Luke.

A private celebration of life will be held by the family, according to her agency.

Gayle King’s Support of Bari Weiss Angers CBS News Staffers

Gayle King rubbed some fellow CBS News staffers the wrong way during an all-hands meeting this week, according to a new report. The CBS Mornings anchor showed support to the network’s new editor-in-chief, Bari Weiss, during the meeting, per The Independent.
“If you don’t want to be here, if this is not the place, it’s OK,” King reportedly said at the end of the meeting, echoing Weiss’ sentiment that anyone who doesn’t think she’s the “right leader” for the network could feel free to leave. “But for the rest of us who would like to be here, who’d like to do a good job and figure things out along the way, this is a very bumpy time for all of us.”

She then reportedly defended Weiss against “leakers in the building,” telling her new boss, “I thought you made it very clear if you’re not the leader for them. I would like to think that we can have conversations, and that we could talk candidly with each other, and it’s not going to friggin be in the paper. I am so sick of that!”

In a subsequent article published by The Independent, multiple anonymous staffers spoke out against King for her remarks. “Gayle instead made it about her not liking the fact that people are talking to the press about her future at CBS News,” one employee said. “Forget the substance of people’s grievances and fears.”

However, another staffer also told the outlet that King received an applause from her colleagues. “It was nothing but positive feelings at the end of the the town hall yesterday,” the employee claimed.
Weiss has already begun implementing changes at the network, most notably with bringing Tony Dokoupil over as the new anchor of CBS Evening News. According to The Independent, more changes are coming to the evening news program, with staffers receiving an email that offered them an “extraordinary chance to leave CBS News with an enhanced separation payment.”

Amid the changes at CBS News, questions about King’s future with the network have risen. King’s contract reportedly ends in May and there have been conflicting reports about whether she will remain with the morning show.
“I’m not going to negotiate in the press,” King insisted on a recent episode of Sherri. “I hear one thing in the building and one thing outside the building. I’ll be reading an article, and I’m like, ‘That’s not true, that’s not true.’ I’ve decided I’m going to stay out of the drama… and there is some drama. I’m going to stay out of that and just continue to do my job.”

Olympic gold medalist Sha'Carri Richardson arrested for speeding, driving over 100 mph in Florida
Olympic track star Sha'Carri Richardson has been arrested for speeding. Richardson, who won an Olympic Gold Medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics, was booked on Thursday in Orange County, Florida, for dangerous excessive speeding, which is considered driving faster than 100 miles per hour.

Jail records show she is still being held on a $500 bond.
Sprinter Sha'Carri Richardson left off US relay team, will miss Tokyo Olympics
At the 2024 Olympics, the athlete also won a silver medal in the 100m, along with winning gold in the women's 4x100m relay.
The Olympic wins came three years after she had tested positive for THC, a chemical found in marijuana, which prevented her from participating in the 100 meters at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

At the time, she accepted a 30-day suspension from the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency for the violation.

Don Lemon and Georgia Fort vow to continue reporting following arrests tied to anti-ICE protest

Independent journalists Don Lemon and Georgia Fort have vowed to continue reporting, following their arrests after covering an anti-ICE protest at a church in Minnesota.
Lemon, a former CNN anchor, and Fort, a Minnesota reporter, were released from federal custody on Friday, following criticism from human rights advocates and journalism organizations over their arrests.

A federal grand jury in Minnesota indicted Fort and Lemon on charges related to the interruption of a religious service at the Cities Church in St. Paul, where a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement official is a pastor. Both Fort and Lemon have maintained that they were not participating in the protest at the church but were reporting on the incident as journalists.
Speaking during his YouTube show on Friday, Lemon said that this is a moment for journalists around the world "to stand up for each other."

"It may have started with people having their due process rights violated on the streets, violently violated on the streets. But now they're trying to silence journalists. And I will not be silenced," Lemon said on his show.
Fort, a Minnesota native who filmed her arrest as federal agents showed up to her home early Friday, told CNN's Anderson Cooper shortly after her release that she will "continue to tell the stories of my community." She also said the arrests have sent "a chilling message" to the media industry.

"As journalists, we never want to be the story. But unfortunately, I did find myself in a predicament where I felt that I needed to be able to tell my own story, that I needed the world to see that journalism is on trial," Fort said on Anderson Cooper 360°.
She added: "If they can criminalize a journalist here in Minnesota, whether you're independent or not, I think that we've seen a track record where this is just going to continue to escalate."
A federal magistrate judge previously declined to approve Lemon's arrest, citing a lack of evidence. A few days later, the chief federal appeals court judge in Minnesota rejected a prosecutor's appeal of the decision, writing that there was "no evidence" of any criminal behavior in Lemon's work.

Abbe Lowell, an attorney representing Lemon, called the arrest "an unprecedented attack on the First Amendment" in a social media post on Friday. Lowell also said Lemon will "fight these charges vigorously and thoroughly in court." Leita Walker, an attorney for Fort, told the Columbia Journalism Review that her client "will be vigorously defending herself against these charges."

Luther “Uncle Luke” Campbell Teases Congressional Run In Florida
Luther “Uncle Luke” Campbell is stepping away from coaching high school football as he prepares for a potential congressional run in his home state of Florida.
On Monday (Jan. 26), the 2 Live Crew member announced his resignation from his position as head coach at Miami Edison Senior High School, citing a possible return to politics as the primary catalyst behind his decision.

“Good morning. I am officially stepping down as Head Football Coach at Miami Edison Senior High School,” Campbell, 60, wrote in a statement posted to his X account. He went on to express gratitude to the players and colleagues he worked with during his tenure.
“I would like to thank the principal, athletic director, alumni president, board members, my coaching staff, and—most importantly—the players for giving me the opportunity to lead and serve at Miami Edison. Coaching at this historic school has been an honor.”

Campbell added that his departure was motivated by a desire to prevent his political ambitions from interfering with his responsibilities as a football coach, which he said would be a disservice to his players. “I do not want to shortchange the young men at Miami Edison while pursuing a congressional seat.”
If Campbell pursues a run for Congress, he is expected to challenge Democratic incumbent Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick in Florida’s 20th Congressional District.

Cherfilus-McCormick’s term has recently been mired in controversy. In November 2025, the 47-year-old was hit with federal charges for allegedly stealing $5 million in FEMA funds and making illegal campaign contributions. She is scheduled to be arraigned in February.
A lifelong football fan, Campbell began his coaching journey in Florida’s high school circuit in 2009, joining Miami Central as a linebackers coach and helping lead the team to its first state championship in school history.

The rapper and music executive later coached at Miami-area schools Northwestern, Norland, and Jackson before landing at Edison in 2018, where he helped transform the program from a perennial underperformer into a respected competitor.
“I believe we are leaving Miami Edison better than we found it,” Campbell said. “The program now has brand-new locker rooms, upgraded football facilities, and a strong apparel partnership with Adidas.”

In addition to his political ambitions, Campbell revealed he will focus his efforts on film projects, his work with Liberty City Optimist, and his new NIL venture Luke Sports.
If Campbell ultimately runs for Congress, it would not be his first foray into politics. In 2011, the controversial Hip-Hop legend ran for mayor of Miami-Dade County, finishing fourth with 11 percent of the vote.

Campbell is expected to make a final decision regarding a congressional run on Feb. 15, 2026.

Snoop Dogg's Daughter Cori Broadus Announces Death of Her 10-Month-Old Baby Girl: 'I Lost the Love of My Life'

Snoop Dogg’s daughter, Cori Broadus, announced that her baby daughter has died at 10 months old
Cori shared the tragic news in a post on her Instagram Stories on Saturday, Jan. 31
The baby, named Codi Dreaux, was born three months premature and was brought home from the NICU earlier this month

Snoop Dogg's daughter, Cori Broadus, announced that her baby daughter, Codi Dreaux, has died.
Cori, 26, shared the tragic news in a post on her Instagram Stories on Saturday, Jan. 31. The post featured a black-and-white photo of herself smiling while holding her baby. She wrote over the photo, “Monday I lost the love of my life. My Codi,” along with an emoji of an angel wing.

Cori’s fiancé, Wayne Deuce, also shared a series of photos on his own Instagram Stories.
“I been the saddest since u left me Codi Dreaux. But I know u at peace. Daddy will always love you,” he wrote over an image of himself holding his daughter.

“My baby,” he added
Cori, who is Snoop’s youngest child and only daughter, shared in a February 2025 Instagram post that Codi had been born three months early.
“The princess arrived at 6 months,” she wrote in the birth announcement, which included a black-and-white photo of the baby’s foot.
She added, “I’ve cried and cried, I’ve compared and compared, blaming myself that I wasn’t able to give her all that she needed. But no matter what God always shows me that I’m His Child!”

“Baby girl came at 25 weeks today and she’s perfect as ever!” she continued. “Thank You God for getting me this far no matter the odds that are constantly thrown against me 🙏.”

In an Instagram Stories post shared the same day, Cori revealed that she had delivered the baby via C-section after doctors told her she was developing HELLP syndrome, which stands for Hemolysis (the process of red blood cell destruction), Elevated Liver enzymes and Low Platelets.
Codi ultimately spent 10 months in the NICU, with Cori sharing that she finally was able to bring her baby home in early January.
"She’s home. 🤍," she captioned a Jan. 6 Instagram post featuring herself and Codi snuggling together on her bed. "Thank you for every prayer, every message, every ounce of love. God heard them all. 🕊️✨."

Cori first announced she was pregnant with a daughter in December 2024.
"I found out Oct. 28," she said while speaking to E! News.
"I'm a high-risk pregnancy, and doctors were very concerned for me and the baby, but God has his hands on me,” she added at the time.

‘Basketball Wives’ Canceled After 12 Seasons on VH1
Shaunie Henderson has officially announced the end of her hit reality TV show “Basketball Wives.” In a video posted to Instagram on Jan. 29, 2026, she confirmed that the show will not return for another season.
The longtime producer and original cast member said the franchise is entering a “new season” of life. She framed the decision as a moment of transition and growth rather than an abrupt cancellation.

The series first aired in 2010 and ran for over 15 years, mostly on VH1. It also had ties to BET during recent seasons. With 12 seasons, the show became a staple in the reality TV world, known for its high drama and intense cast dynamics.
Shaunie thanked VH1, BET, Shed Media, and longtime fans for supporting the show throughout its run. Though she stepped back from the main cast in later years, she remained an executive producer and key figure.

Inside Shaunie’s farewell message to fans
In her Instagram reel, Henderson kept the tone light and grateful. She stated: “Basketball Wives update: You heard it here first. Basketball Wives will not be returning.”
She hinted at upcoming personal and professional projects that better reflect where she is in life now. Henderson referred to this change as “exciting” and full of possibility.

While Shaunie didn’t mention any controversy, some reports say behind-the-scenes issues may have influenced the decision. Rumors include disagreements over rights ownership between VH1, Shed Media, and Henderson.

There’s no official confirmation of that conflict, and Shaunie’s public messaging stays positive. She emphasized that the show’s conclusion was “intentional” and not the result of failure.
Online reactions have been mixed since the announcement. Some fans celebrated the show’s run, calling it iconic and nostalgic. Others said it was time to move on due to repetitive storylines and cast fatigue.

Recent seasons faced criticism for skipping reunion episodes and leaving storylines unresolved. Viewers were also divided over newer cast additions and the tone of the show’s last season.
“Basketball Wives” gained popularity for its dramatic scenes—especially those involving drinks thrown, shouting matches, and shifting alliances.
From Miami to L.A., the series spotlighted the lives of women linked to NBA players, offering glamour, mess, and vulnerability. Over time, it helped launch the reality TV careers of stars like Evelyn Lozada, Tami Roman, and Draya Michele.

Shaunie hasn’t mentioned plans for a new version of the show, but that hasn’t stopped others from dreaming. Some former cast members, including Draya Michele, have already floated spin-off ideas.
Fans are speculating about a “Basketball Wives: Legacy” or cast reunion special, but nothing has been confirmed. The brand remains strong, and a future reboot isn’t off the table.

Shaunie hinted at “exciting new projects” during her farewell message. Though she didn’t go into detail, she has a history of developing reality content and lifestyle ventures.
In recent years, Henderson has focused on faith, family, and business, especially after her 2022 marriage to Pastor Keion Henderson. Many expect her next move to reflect those passions.

Michael Blackson Blasts Tasha K After She Accuses Him of Messaging Trans Woman

Michael Blackson is clapping back with zero filter after Tasha K attempted to “expose” him for allegedly messing with a transgender woman. The drama all started when Blackson shared a screenshot of a DM exchange to clown a “groupie” named Jayda.

In the messages, she told him, “Bae let me choke on it,” which prompted Blackson to sarcastically fire back, “do you have $250k in the bank, or you broke?” When she replied, “I promise I ain’t broke I do content,” Blackson thought he was just roasting a random clout-chaser, until Tasha K stepped in to claim the woman in those DMs is actually a transgender woman.

The “African King of Comedy” wasted no time jumping into the comments to defend his reputation, making it clear he doesn’t check the profile of every person hitting his inbox. He addressed the situation by saying, “Everyone telling me this modasucka is a neega lol, i don’t care if he’s a neega, a beech or a neegaBeech. this modasucka don’t have a chance with me, I’m just replying to all groupies I don’t have time to look at no one’s profile.” He also took a personal shot at Tasha K’s credibility and appearance, adding, “As for that handsome lady Tasha K i used to think she was cool, but now i see she just post anything for attention u Tracy Morgan looking modasucka.”

Tasha K, however, claims the joke is actually on Michael and that the proof is in the “vanish mode” setting. She took to Instagram to warn the comedian, writing, “Good Morning My Dearly Beloved Winos-Sorry to bother y’all with a little morning nonsense, but can someone please let Michael Blackston the comedian know that the DMs he proudly posted to his IG story are allegedly between him and a transgender woman named Jayda.” She went on to suggest that he might want to delete the evidence, “unless he’s choosing to come out on this beautiful Saturday morning,” noting that the “Disappearing messages chat is visible plain as day at the bottom!

The situation turned even more scandalous when Tasha claimed she saw video evidence that “wrecked her spirit.” She told her followers, “Chile… the TransWoman done sent me a video of what appears to be allegedly Micheal Blackson in video receiving head from the Transperson! My SPIRIT has been WRECKED this morning! Saturday is PHUKKED!!” Tasha even took it a step further by commenting on the physical appearance of the man in the video, stating, “Sir… you are HUGE. Huge and hairy. Michael is allegedly hanging on for dear life down there y’all, if that was you in the video.”

For her part, Jayda is backing Tasha’s claims and suggesting that Blackson is lying about their history together. In a screenshot sent to Tasha, she claimed, “He got me on his page rn. We literally text in vanish mode. Whole time you not telling everyone I been around tf.”
While Michael Blackson insists he was just replying to a random person in his inbox, Tasha K is standing firm that he wouldn’t even be in this mess if he hadn’t “posted those DMs in vanish mode in the first place.”

From Diddy to Hov? 50 Cent Vows to Drop a Documentary on Jay-Z After Epstein File Leak

If there is one person you don’t want on your case when federal documents start leaking, it’s 50 Cent. The mogul is already legendary for his social media trolling, and this weekend, Jay-Z was at the forefront of that.

After the Department of Justice released a staggering three million pages of records tied to the Jeffrey Epstein investigation on Friday, 50 didn’t waste any time taking jabs at the Roc Nation mogul, who was mentioned in the files. According to a document dated July 2019, a tip was submitted to federal authorities by a woman whose identity remains unknown. According to the intake form, she claimed she was abducted from her home in the mid-1990s and later awoke in what she believed was Epstein’s Florida mansion. In her account, the woman claimed that Harvey Weinstein sexually assaulted her at the home. The same document states that Jay-Z was also in the room at the time, though it’s unclear how he knew Weinstein or what he was doing in the room.

Taking to Instagram with two AI-generated images showing Jay-Z, 50 wrote, “Damn they got ya man jay in the Epstein files, I gotta do a doc on this sh!t!”
The jab comes as social media users have been circulating clips and screenshots from the files that mention both Jay-Z and Pusha T, specifically within FBI tip-line summaries and interview notes from years ago.

While it’s worth noting that being mentioned in a hotline report isn’t the same as an indictment, 50 is already treating it like his next big story.

Craigslist Ad Offers $50 to Anyone Willing to Sit Through Melania Trump Documentary
If you’ve ever wanted to get paid for doing absolutely nothing, your time has finally come, as long as you don’t mind spending that time in a dark theater watching Melania Trump’s life story.
Despite Donald Trump’s social media flex that the new documentary “Melania” was “selling out fast,” the reality on the ground looks a lot more like a private screening for one. The situation has gotten so desperate that a Craigslist ad recently went viral, offering Boston viewers free tickets plus $50 just to sit through the film.

The ad, which was spotted and shared by producer Nate Gilbert, didn’t have many strings attached other than one hilarious condition: you actually have to stay. “Attend MELANIA documentary at any Boston area theatre during opening weekend,” the post read, promising “Free tickets + $50 per seat occupied,” with the stern warning that viewers “must remain in seats for entirety of film.”

Apparently, the fear of people taking the money and running ten minutes in is very real.
Amazon reportedly shelled out a staggering $40 million for the rights to this film, which chronicles the First Lady’s journey leading up to the 2025 inauguration. But even with Jeff Bezos’s backing, the box office numbers are looking like a total flop. Screenshots from ticketing sites show that at Boston’s largest theater, not a single seat was sold for opening night.

Journalist Jack Quann shared the same sentiments in Dublin, that only 13 tickets were sold across two theaters. In Toronto, the situation was even more tragic, leading one X user to joke, “Not one ticket sold yet for #Melania. Hope this movie makes 7 bucks.”
Forecasters like CNN’s Harry Enten are projecting a total haul between $1 million and $5 million, which would be a massive L for Amazon, given their total $75 million investment when you factor in marketing.

While Trump is busy calling the empty theaters “fake news,” the rest of the world is busy laughing at the fact that you literally have to pay people to watch it.
If you’re in the Boston area and need a quick fifty, you might want to head to the theater, just make sure you bring a pillow, because staying in that seat for the full runtime might be the hardest job you’ll ever have.
