The Bad Bunny & Messi Collection combines music and football, uniting both worlds while highlighting the mutual respect and admiration shared by the two stars and their gratitude to their fans.
The collection spotlights two of the brand's most iconic models and draws from a vast treasure trove of the Adidas brand archives, which includes heritage models, materials, and colorways.

In a press release, Bad Bunny (whose real name is Benito Martinez Ocasio) said that the name "Messi" has become synonymous with courage, heart, and greatness.
"Watching him play with the passion he does is a privilege. I compare the love he feels for his country and his sport to the love I feel for music and Puerto Rico. Collaborating with him is an honor that so many people dream of and I never even imagined I could achieve it," he continued.

Messi also chimed in, calling back to the campaign's theme by sharing his gratitude to the fans who inspire him and praising Bad Bunny for his music:
"I always try to give everything I have on the pitch, so it’s great to see that there are people who appreciate that effort and always support me, even in bad times.
Music is connected to many aspects of my life, and Bad Bunny is an artist who is never missing from my playlist.”

Order sign-ups for the collection are available on the CONFIRMED and Adidas apps.
Adidas Originals has produced a milestone campaign, tapping two of Latin America's biggest celebrities for a collaboration that will undoubtedly reach millions of audiences.

#HipHopNews: Nicki Minaj Reveals is going back to school to ger her College Degree And Reviving Her Student Of The Game Fund
Nicki Minaj is pursuing a college degree, she confirmed on Sunday (Nov. 3) night alongside the upcoming return of her Student of the Game initiative.
“Barbz, as you may recall, two days ago, I mentioned me getting a college degree and that I’d share more on the major and other details at a later time,” the “FTCU” artist wrote on Twitter. “I wanted to also mention that I plan on resuming my Student of the Game charity for Barbz who need help with college. [More] info [to] come.”

In 2017, Minaj gave out thousands to cover student loans and tuition fees, with her even paying for a $2,000 Wacom tablet for the last of over a dozen recipients. She officially launched the Student of the Game college fund the following year.
It’s also worth mentioning that many of Hip Hop’s leading ladies are proud college graduates. Megan Thee Stallion is a Texas Southern University alumni, while Saweetie and Lady London earned their degrees from the University of Southern California and Howard University, respectively.

Minaj’s Student of the Game announcement came with a bit of shade for her critics. When a fan joked that people would claim she mentioned charity work as a result of getting “dragged” online, the Queen rapper responded, “Imagine never knowing you got dragged [though].”

She went on to say, “[The] only thing I [saw] dragged was when mofos dragged [their a**es] to my sold-out, headlining, record-breaking world tour.” Notably, Minaj’s “Pink Friday 2 World Tour” became the highest-grossing arena run by a woman in Hip Hop, with under $2 million generated at each of its packed-out shows.
Music-wise, the Grammy nominee is expected to release Pink Friday 3 sometime in the future. She revealed that the project will replace her now-scrapped deluxe version of Pink Friday 2.

Celebrities Remember Quincy Jones’ and his Legacy

Quincy Jones passed away in his Bel Air home on Sunday (Nov. 3) night. The legendary producer and composer, who Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg, Will Smith, Kamala Harris, Dr. Dre and more are among the latest industry heavyweights to pay tribute to Quincy Jones, the music giant who died Sunday at 91.

Steven Spielberg, who directed 1985’s The Color Purple, which Jones produced and composed the music for, said: “For all of us who value what Quincy Jones contributed to art, society and the human race, he was the World, we are his children. Never to be forgotten for his inimitable talent and legendary contribution to music and culture, and the goal of healing the world, Q was also a profoundly wonderful mentor, a doer and a uniter. Most of all, he was our friend. All of us who were lucky enough to be in his circle were given nicknames by Q. Mine was ‘Carl,’ because in 1980 when we met, my answering machine had a voice message where you heard me doing a terrible impression of Carl Sagan. He never called me by my first name again. He was deeply committed to family. Everyone close to him felt special and blessed just to listen and learn and laugh. Just yesterday, like he had for the past 33 years, he sent flowers to my wife Kate for her birthday. We will miss him, but there is so much of him surrounding us to keep him close.”

Oprah Winfrey, who credited Jones as discovering her, paid tribute on Instagram alongside a photo of the two: “My beloved Q. The world’s beloved Q … My life changed forever for the better after meeting him. I had never experienced, nor have since, anyone who’s heart was so filled with love. He walked around with his heart wide open, and he treated everybody as if they were the most important person he’d ever met. He was the Light. No shadows,” the media mogul shared in part. View the post in its entirety below.

Will Smith, with whom Jones worked on the seminal sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, said alongside a throwback photo of the two: “Quincy Jones is the true definition of a Mentor, a Father and a Friend. He pointed me toward the greatest parts of myself. He defended me. He nurtured me. He encouraged me. He inspired me. He checked me when he needed to. He let me use his wings until mine were strong enough to fly.”

Producer and rapper Dr. Dre also paid tribute, saying: “Quincy is the reason why I decided to become a record producer. … Forever inspired by the incomparable Quincy Jones.”

Actor Michael Caine, who was born just minutes apart from Jones on March 14, 1933, wrote on X: “My celestial twin Quincy was a titan in the musical world. He was a wonderful and unique human being, lucky to have known him.”
Jones provided the musical score for 1969 movie The Italian Job, which starred Caine as a recently released criminal, who forms a gang to steal gold bullion being transported through Italy in an armoured truck.

Paul McCartney penned a heartfelt note to Jones on Instagram, saying in part: “His long career stretches back to the early days when he was a trumpet player, then a band leader, then a producer of many great records. But it is as a friend I would like to remember him. We always had fun in his presence and his legend will continue through the years, but it is those private moments we were lucky enough to have with the great man that I will always remember fondly.”

President Joe Biden also weighed in Monday, writing: “Quincy Jones was a trailblazer.

“He lived his life unapologetically, using his gifts to lift others up. He broke down barriers and opened doors for those who came after him, not for praise but because he knew the power of our shared potential.

“For more than half a century, as a composer, arranger, record and movie producer, Quincy Jones created art that brought joy to millions of people. As an activist, Quincy Jones championed civil and human rights. He brought together artists who wanted to unite their voices to drive change. As a role model, in particular for young people of color in the music industry, Quincy Jones offered inspiration and mentorship.

VP Harris added: “I was honored to call Quincy a friend. I will always remember his generosity of spirit, his selfless support, and his deep kindness. Our world has lost a giant. But in his melodies, and in the lives he touched, Quincy’s legacy will live on forever. Today, Doug and I are praying for the Jones family and all those who loved him. “
His Democratic White House predecessor also chimed in:
The Color Purple actor Colman Domingo was among others paying tribute, writing on social media: “He asked, where are you from? Philly I replied, his eyes twinkled and he talked about the Uptown Theater. I was so thrilled to meet Mr. American Music himself. I literally kneeled because he was a King. Thank you Mr. Quincy Jones for giving us all the sound.”

Domingo starred in 2023’s The Color Purple, the musical feature reboot of the 1985 film of the same name Jones produced with Steven Spielberg. Jones was a producer on the modern version alongside the likes of the first film’s star Oprah Winfrey.
Lenny Kravitz wrote on X, sharing a series of photos of him with Jones: “I am speechless at the moment. What this man means to me goes extremely deep. What a life. What an expression of authenticity. What a teacher. I am humbled that I was given the gift of your openness and friendship. I am still processing… My deepest condolences and respects to the Jones family.”

Media mogul Byron Allen said in a statement: “Quincy, your talent and music continues to make our lives so much better. Every day, you inspire us to pursue excellence. Thank you for your greatness! I love and appreciate you!”

Playwright Jeremy O. Harris wrote: “What couldn’t he do? Quincy Jones, literally born when the limits on how big a black boy could dream were unfathomably high, taught us that the limit does not exist. His contributions to American culture were limitless. First black person nominated for an Oscar for best score. First black person nominated later twice in the same year. The producer of inarguably the biggest albums of the 20th century. An EGOT. Father to some of pretty incredibly talented children as well and godfather to musicians around the world. RIP QUINCY.”

Rapper and actor LL Cool J wrote: “You were a father and example at a time when I truly needed a father and example. Mentor. Role model. King. You gave me opportunities and shared wisdom. Music would not be music without you. My condolences to the entire family. I love you. Rest in the sweetest music eternally.”

Resident Evil and James Bond franchise actor Colin Salmon wrote that Jones “was a true musical Don, from Ray Charles, Sinatra, Michael Jackson; more recently championing Jacob Collier and beyond. As a kid his major influence for me was the soundtrack to the Italian Job. Yes The Self Preservation Society was penned by him. Thank you Maestro you changed the World. RIP.”

Anand Singh, the South African producer of Mandela: A Long Walk to Freedom, noted how Jones had written the song ‘Madiba’ for Nelson Mandela’s 80th birthday. The original music sheet and lyrics still hang at Sanctuary Mandela in Johannesburg.

Singh had met Jones whilst making anti-apartheid films in the 1980s. Jones later introduced him to a network of creative talent after Singh bought film adaptation rights to Sarafina!, leading to a production partnership with Warner Bros. “His support extended to many other films, including Cry, The Beloved Country and Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom,” said Singh in a statement.

“We have lost a giant, a friend and an exceptional human being.  I am profoundly saddened by the passing of Quincy Jones, a mentor and a dear friend of mine and South Africa for over 40 years… His passing leaves a huge void in our lives, and we will miss him dearly. His creative genius, commitment and contribution to our industry is unparalleled.”

Jones — a musician, composer, producer and songwriter whose oeuvre spanned seven decades — was behind everything from Michael Jackson’s Thriller to frequent collaborations with Frank Sinatra, producing the big-screen adaptation of The Color Purple and composing some of the most memorable film and TV music ever.

He won 28 Grammys during his career, with Jackson’s album Thriller becoming a cultural milestone as it took home eight in the 1980s. He also produced two more of Jackson’s bestselling albums, Off the Wall and Bad.

In 1964, he arranged and conducted Sinatra’s second album with Count Basie titled It Might as Well Be Swing and then collaborated with with the crooner on the live album, Sinatra at the Sands. Jones later produced what was to become the singer’s final album, L.A. Is My Lady, in 1984.

Jones also produced We Are the World, one of the biggest-selling singles of all time, and convinced Miles Davis to record what would be Davis’ final album, Miles & Quincy: Live at Montreux, three months before the jazz great’s death in 1991.worked on numerous hits for Michael Jackson, like “Billie Jean,” “Smooth Criminal,” and “Thriller,” died at the age of 91.

After his death, several celebrities and former collaborators remembered the 28-time GRAMMY winner’s legacy on social media. “Quincy, I love you so much! Your legacy will live on forever and ever. Heaven definitely got an upgrade with you,” Victoria Monét penned on Twitter. Notably, the singer’s JAGUAR II (Deluxe) cut “1900’s” sampled “Wanna Be Startin' Somethin',” which Jones lent production to.

“I aspire to be as honest as Quincy Jones was in some of his latter interviews. My guy was telling truths that no one even knew to ask for,” Top Dawg Entertainment’s Terrence "Punch" Henderson said. Meanwhile, LL COOL J described the late music giant as a “role model” and “mentor” on Instagram: “You were a father and example at a time when I truly needed a father and example.”

“I thought Quincy Jones was gonna live forever. What an incredible loss. RIP to the greatest to ever do it!” Amaarae shared alongside a heartbreak emoji. Scottie Beam added, “I’m really sitting here trying to figure out what Quincy Jones composition I’m going to play… but I’m overwhelmed.” The Weeknd also shared a photo of himself and the Chicago native.

“Tonight, with full but broken hearts, we must share the news of our father and brother Quincy Jones’ passing. He is truly one of a kind, and we will miss him dearly. We take comfort and immense pride in knowing that the love and joy, that were the essence of his being, was shared with the world through all that he created,” the late musician’s family shared in a statement, per AP News.
2024 has unfortunately brought the loss of many music and pop culture icons. Back in August, Meek Mill, Jim Jones, and Missy Elliott remembered Fatman Scoop after his tragic passing.

Jason Kelce Apologized For Viral Video Of Him Smashing A Heckler’s Phone
Jason Kelce is more popular on a national scale now than he ever was as an All-Pro center with the Philadelphia Eagles — although, his Super Bowl parade performance cemented his status as a Philly legend. Kelce is on ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown now and has a wildly popular podcast with his brother Travis, as the brothers have seen their stardom leap from the sports world to pop culture in general, due in no small part to Travis’ relationship with Taylor Swift that has brought her legions of fans to them.

While there are the obvious benefits of that popularity in the form of massive media deals, there are also the trappings of fame that come with the territory of being immediately recognizable to most any person. On Saturday, Jason was reminded of that when he was in State College for Ohio State-Penn State and had a heckler call Travis a gay slur for dating Swift while holding his phone out recording. That jackass was seeking a reaction and got one in the form of Jason grabbing his phone and spiking it on the ground, with videos from other nearby going viral immediately.

On Monday night, Kelce addressed the incident at the top of Monday Night Countdown and issued an apology, noting that’s not how he wants to act and that he doesn’t want to “greet hate with hate.”

The truth is, the majority of people saw him spike the phone and felt that was an extremely reasonable response, as we need to remind people that there are real consequences to saying vile things — something the internet has made far too easy to do with no repercussions. Still, Kelce felt bad enough about it to issue an apology on national television and seemed very genuinely upset by his own actions, even if the majority of people saw them as defensible.

Ariana Grande And Ethan Slater Go 'Instagram Official' With 'Wicked' Premiere
Pop star Ariana Grande, 31, and Broadway actor Ethan Slater, 32, attended the Wicked premiere in Sydney on Sunday and shared their first photo together on Instagram on Monday.
Grande posted a carousel of pictures, including a cute image of herself and Slater on some stairs. "Sydney, you have stolen our hearts," she wrote in the caption. Slater later reshared the same image on his Instagram Stories.

The pair met in December 2022 on the U.K. set of the film adaptation of the Broadway musical "Wicked", in which Grande plays Glinda the Good Witch and Slater plays the munchkin Boq. Grande and Slater's relationship had previously been rumored, but they had kept it private. However, they made it Instagram official with their joint appearance at the Wicked premiere.

The couple's resemblance to each other has sparked comments on social media, with many fans noting their "uncanny" likeness. Some have even suggested they look like siblings.
Grande previously dated rapper Mac Miller and had a brief engagement with "Saturday Night Live" alum Pete Davidson. Slater was married to singer Lilly Jay, with whom he shares a 2-year-old son.

Despite the public scrutiny they have faced, both Grande and Slater have expressed their support for each other. In a recent interview with GQ, Slater said of Grande, "She's poured herself into [Wicked], and I'm really excited to be there for this next step of it."
The "Journey Through Oz" press tour for "Wicked" will continue in Los Angeles, Mexico City, New York and London before the film opens in U.S. theaters on November 22.

DeVon Franklin Praised After Confirming Romance With Maria Castillo
DeVon Franklin is finally going public with his new girlfriend, more than two years following his split from Meagan Good. The producer/author has confirmed that he and Maria Castillo are dating.
The pair made their romance red carpet official at they attended The Merge Awards on Monday night, November 4. They looked in good spirits as they arrived together and walked hand-in-hand in color-coordinated outfits.

When asked by Baller Allert if Maria was his date that night, DeVon confirmed it, adding, "This is my girl." He went on explaining what it signified when he mentioned her not just as a "date," but as his "girl."
"Sometimes, you know, you say 'date,' and it's like, oh, yeah, cool. But that implies a moment. When I'm saying, 'Hey, this is my girl,' I'm saying that's a commitment," he emphasized. "So I think it's very important when we make a commitment to be okay with verbalizing that, vocalizing that."

Maria then chimed in, sharing what she loves about DeVon. "You know, he goes through life constantly thinking of others and he's also fine. So, but he's obviously, you know, a man of God, and that comes first, so that was that was my green flag," she gushed about her man.

The pair quickly received support from social media users. "She's definitely a cutie. They look good together! Happy for all parties!" someone commented on Baller Allert's Instagram post of the video. Another added, "I'm happy for her, and I'm happy for him. That is all."
A third weighed in, "I like this!! Something about a man claiming a woman publicly that seals it for me. I wish them all the best!!" Echoing the sentiment, a fourth wrote, "You know what.. I love it! I know his extra clarification made her feel amazing!"

DeVon and Maria, who is a celebrity trainer, first sparked dating rumors earlier this year. In early September, the preacher posted a video of himself ATVing and enjoying stunning views in Mexico.
Just days earlier, Maria shared clips of herself also ATVing and hiking at a location identical to where DeVon filmed. The fitness trainer captioned her post, "Meet me at the mountain top?" They were also revealed to have been following each other on Instagram at the time.

Prior to dating Maria, DeVon was married to Meagan. The former spouses tied the knot in 2012. In December 2021, it was announced that the motivational speaker had filed for divorce after nine years of marriage. Their divorce was finalized in June 2022. The actress has since moved on by dating actor Jonathan Majors.

Richard Simmons' Estate Battle Explodes: Late Fitness Guru's Brother Fighting His Housekeeper Over $1 Million in Jewels

Richard Simmons' brother, Leonard Simmons, is still in a fierce showdown with the late fitness icon's housekeeper just months after his death.
Leonard now claims Richard's longtime housekeeper, Tereso Muro, pocketed over $1 million worth of jewelry and other valuable pieces from his home that she "refuses to return", RadarOnline.com can reveal.

Richard Simmons' brother is battling housekeeper Teresa Muro after she filed a petition claiming she was 'coerced' into signing paperwork that removed her as a cotrustee.
The showy fitness enthusiast died the day after his 76th birthday on July 13. His death was ruled accidental at the time, caused by the prior injuries he had suffered after he had fallen two days before.

According to documents, Leonard asked a court to shut down a petition filed by Muro in Los Angeles Superior Court, which claimed she was Richard's closest friend named as a cotrustee of his trust.
Leonard claims his brother's longtime housekeeper stayed in his home 76 days after his death in July and took over $1 million in valuable items.

The documents, obtained by InTouch, showed Muro claiming Leonard asked her to sign paperwork to remove her as cotrustee while she was mourning Richard's death.
Her lawyer explained: "Teresa was overwhelmed by Richard’s sudden death just a few days earlier, the morning's events at the funeral home and Leonard's unexpected scare tactics. Moreover, English is not Teresa's first language."

The housekeeper said she was "coerced and fraudulently induced to sign" documents that removed her as cotrustee and that Leonard refused to reinstate her when she confronted him.
Her motion read: "During the final years of his life, Richard unequivocally cut ties with [the manager] because he was exploiting Richard's celebrity without proper authorization and compensation. In fact, Richard stated that he 'would rather die' than participate in another project with him."

Muro also claimed Leonard has plans to sell Richard's personal belongings.
Her lawyer added: "Moreover, it appears that Leonard is actively preparing to dispose of numerous of Richard's personal effects, as he has retained a real estate agent to market Richard’s home where all of his personal effects were maintained and has likely made arrangements to remove Richard’s personal effects from the premises so it can be marketed.

Richard died just one day after his 76th birthday in July, which has been rules as 'accidental'.
"Leonard is thus likely also making arrangements to imminently sell, donate, or otherwise dispose of Richard's personal effects without Teresa’s input, as was envisioned by Richard in the Trust."
Leonard has denied the accusations in a filed response, asking Muro not to be added back on as cotrustee.

He also accused the housekeeper of stealing $1 million of Richard’s jewelry.
His motion stated: "Although Teresa has her own home, she had a room in Richard’s house that she refused to vacate after his death. When she finally did leave, 76 days later, she took almost $1 million of Richard’s jewelry and other valuable pieces of fine art, which she has refused to return.

"And, as discussed below, she participated in the effort to misappropriate the Trust’s intellectual property. Teresa’s counsel has not informed the Trustee whether Teresa intends to keep this property or return it. If she decides to try to keep it, the Trustee will have no choice but to file a petition to recover it, which is a clear reason she should not be Co-Trustee.

NBA Reopens Investigation Involving Lakers Player Jaxson Hayes After Released Footage Shows Him Shoving & Spitting At Ex-Girlfriend
Jaxson Hayes is once again at the center of a serious investigation. Over the weekend TMZ obtained surveillance footage that seemingly showed Jaxson Hayes, 24, verbally and physically abusing his then-girlfriend, model Sofia Jamora. Allegedly, the July 2021 dispute was over their respective dogs. At one point during the altercation, Jamora can be heard saying,

“I’m not going to let you hit me anymore,” Jamora said. “What the f*** do I look like, a punching bag?”
When the LAPD arrived on the scene Hayes allegedly shoved an officer. He was reportedly tased before being placed in cuffs. He pled no contest to resisting arrest and false imprisonment and was sentenced to 3 years probation, 450 hours of community service and domestic violence classes.  Jamora filed a suit for the incident, however, Hayes wasn’t punished by the NBA.

Thanks to the footage hitting the internet, that might soon change. In a statement shared with ESPN, the NBA expressed,
“As a result of the media report and video posted this morning, we are reopening our investigation.”
A spokesperson for Hayes said that the professional baller plans to cooperate with the league.
“There has already been an extensive investigation that we cooperated with the league on, and as that investigation reopens, we will continue to do so.”

Selena Gomez Once Again Hits Back at 'Sick' Body-Shaming Comments After Latest 'Emilia Perez' Premiere
Selena Gomez is once again hitting back at the body-shaming comments.
Last week, the 32-year-old star attended the opening night premiere of her new movie Emilia Perez held during the 2024 French American Film Festival.

For the event, Selena wore a long-sleeved back dress, and in a now-deleted TikTok post, trolls accused her of hiding her body as in some red carpet photos, Selena posed with her hands in front of her stomach.
Before the post was deleted, Selena took to the comment section to slam the body-shaming.
“This makes me sick…I have SIBO in my small intestine. It flares up,” Selena wrote, according Page Six. “I don’t care that I don’t look like a stick figure. I don’t have that body. End of story. No I am NOT a victim. I’m just human.”

According to the Mayo Clinic, SIBO, which stands for small intestinal bacterial overgrowth, “occurs when there is an abnormal increase in the overall bacterial population in the small intestine — particularly types of bacteria not commonly found in that part of the digestive tract.”
SIBO “commonly results when a circumstance — such as surgery or disease — slows the passage of food and waste products in the digestive tract, creating a breeding ground for bacteria.”

Chloë Grace Moretz has been front and center in numerous Hollywood movies, but she prefers to keep her love life with her rumored fiancée Kate Harrison out of the spotlight.

The Kick-Ass actress was first romantically linked to Harrison in December 2018 after they were seen kissing on a date night. "I like to keep my private life private," she said, before adding, “I’m in a long-term relationship. And I really enjoy that.”
In November 2024, Moretz addressed her sexuality for the first time on Instagram while explaining why she voted for Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election, one that she said has "so much on the line."
"I believe in the need for legal protections that protects the LGBTQ+ community as a gay woman," she captioned a photo of her "I Voted" sticker. "We need protections in this country and to have access to the care we need and deserve."

Larenz Tate Reveals Reason for Earning ‘Peanuts’ When He Joined ‘Power’
*As an accomplished actor with classic roles to his name, it’s hard to imagine Lorenz Tate earning less than a great payday. Yet that’s what happened to the “Love Jones” star when he first joined the cast for the popular show “Power.”

Although his agents felt he should be on a primetime show or guest star on another show, Tate stuck to his guns and opted for the smaller paycheck in working for “peanuts” upon signing on for “Power.:
“I got paid literally peanuts compared to what I got to,” he recently told the crowd during the Building Wealth Today for Tomorrow (BWTT) Financial Empowerment Summit in Chicago as dished on the back and forth between him and his agents. “My agents went crazy. ‘Why are you doing this? You didn’t tell us.’ I said, ‘Because I don’t need your permission to do the thing that I wanna do with the community that makes sense to me.’”

Tate’s interest in “Power” proved winning, with him playing an intellectual figure in the form of Councilman Rashad Tate, Afrotech noted. The actor’s guest appearance on “Power” resulted in him being asked to return to the series. Tate’s agents were still wary of the hit series, but he pressed on with help from a lawyer who he viewed as a “brother that understands.”

When it was all said and done, Tate’s final earnings from playing Councilman Tate made up for the initial pay cut he took to get a foot in the “Power” universe.
“The agent’s like, ‘Are you sure you want to be on that show?’ I said, ‘Here is the deal. I’m gonna negotiate this without y’all’… When we started to negotiate the kind of money that we got, oh, they was like, ‘This is the best show. This is great.’ And of course that was their last check., he said.

“Transformational moments in my career, this is what I’m talking about,” Tate added.” I started this process on ‘Power’ by making a small amount so much that after taxes and paying everybody, I didn’t have any money. It was basically, I did it on the love, but I was okay with it because it spoke to my spirit, it spoke to me, it spoke to y’all. I didn’t know that it would ultimately gain me more involvement with the show. And the more I got involved with the show, the more value that the network understood I had. So y’all know how valuable I am. So we went to negotiate. I made up all the time… We straight.”

In addition to “Power,” Tate reflected on his early years after moving to Los Angeles with his family to join his father, Larry, who worked in education for several years.
Seeing their area become impacted by a drug epidemic, Tate’s parents enrolled their children in performance arts schools to distance them from that environment.

“They got us into performing arts to keep us busy, to kind of keep us out of the streets, if you will…We never went to Los Angeles to become actors or be in the entertainment business. We just went there for some other opportunities, and thanks to our parents, they got us involved in the performing arts. And from there our careers have taken off,” the “Dead Presidents” star said during BWTT.

Mariah Carey Meets Her Festive Wax Twin at Madame Tussauds New York

Just in time for the holiday season, Madame Tussauds New York has unveiled a stunning new wax figure of Mariah Carey, the legendary “Queen of Christmas” and top-selling female artist. The new figure’s debut comes as Carey kicks off her highly-anticipated Christmas Time Tour, making this moment even more magical for fans.

The figure captures Carey’s iconic holiday spirit with a glistening red sequined gown inspired by Marilyn Monroe, echoing her glamorous look from her Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Apple TV+ special. In a personal touch from Carey herself, the wax figure is framed by a giant wreath adorned with lights and life-sized nutcrackers featuring Jack Russell Terrier designs as a nod to Carey’s love for her canine companions.

Crafted over nine months, the figure was meticulously sculpted by 20 artists who worked to perfect every detail, from her signature curls to her radiant smile. “It’s surreal! I never would have believed how lifelike my wax figure would be,” said Carey. “The whole room is a complete transformation into Christmastime. It feels like the perfect home for my wax figure!”
The new Mariah Carey figure reigns in the “Seasons of New York City” area, a newly expanded section of Madame Tussauds celebrating NYC’s four seasons. Here, guests can stroll through a snowy winter wonderland, pose with Timothée Chalamet in autumn, or even enjoy springtime under cherry blossoms with Selena Gomez. This immersive area is part of a multimillion-dollar renovation, enhancing the museum’s interactive offerings.

“We are absolutely honored to welcome the iconic Mariah Carey to the museum,” said Tiago Mogadouro, Head of Marketing, Madame Tussauds New York. “As a living legend whose music and influence have shaped generations, she is the perfect figure to highlight in the Christmas portion of the new Seasons of New York. We couldn’t imagine a more fitting addition to this special area of Madame Tussauds New York.”

With over 200 million albums sold, 19 No. 1 singles, and a holiday anthem—All I Want For Christmas Is You—that continues to break records, Carey is a true music icon. Fans can catch her live on her Christmas Time Tour, visiting 20 cities across the U.S. from November 6 to December 17, with tickets available on LiveNation.com.
For those in NYC, Madame Tussauds is a must-visit this season to celebrate with Mariah’s wax twin and dive into the Christmas magic!

Prince's sister Tyka Nelson dies aged 64 months after missing farewell concert
Prince's sister Tyka Nelson has died at the age of 64, her family has confirmed. The singer's death comes months after she was due to perform at a farewell concert. However, she became unwell and the June gig happened without her.
Meanwhile, on Facebook, her cousin Charles "Chazz" Smith said in a statement: "Our family is very saddened to share the news of my cousin Tyka Evene Nelson who passed away this morning."

Her sister Sharon Nelson said of Tyka: "She had her own mind. She's in a better place." Sharon and Tyka did not know each other until after Prince died, it is reported.
Tyka had been due to retire and have her farewell concert in June. She had released four albums between 1988 and 2011.
Her last public performance had been in 2018 in Australia. She missed her scheduled farewell concert on June 7 this year due to her ill health.

The show, titled Tyka Nelson & Friends: A Night Of Purple Music, instead saw artists like Donna Grantis, BK Jackson and St Paul Peterson & the Minneapolis Funk All Stars perform.
She previously told the Minnesota Star Tribute that singing wasn't her main goal. She said: "I really wasn't a singer. I'm a writer. I just happen to be able to sing. I enjoy singing."

Tyka's death comes eight years after her brother, music legend Prince, died. Prince was 57 when he was found to have died from an accidental fentanyl overdose.

Ohio Sheriff’s Lieutenant Says He Won’t Offer Emergency Help to People Who Vote Democrat, Blames Comments on Medication

A longtime lieutenant from an Ohio sheriff’s office is at the center of a major controversy due to his social media posts, which have outraged the community.
John Rodgers, a veteran of over 20 years with the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, now faces intense scrutiny after Facebook posts surfaced suggesting he might consider a caller’s political affiliation in life-or-death situations.  According to WHIO, these posts have been shared over 250,000 times and have raised concerns about Rodgers’ impartiality. Astonishingly, the lieutenant’s posts implied that he might withhold aid based on political leanings.

Among the most incendiary comments were statements such as, “I am sorry. If you support the Democratic Party, I will not help you,” adding, “The problem is that I know which of you supports the Democratic Party, and I will not help you survive the end of days.” In another post, he reportedly required people to “provide proof of who you voted for” before offering assistance.
The Clark County Sheriff’s Office, led by Chief Deputy Mike Young, is now working urgently to manage the fallout. Young condemned the statements as “highly inappropriate” and reassured the public that they do not reflect the department’s dedication to serving all residents, regardless of political affiliation. The NAACP is demanding that Rodgers be placed on leave.

“After everything that we have been through, we’re still going through, and we’re going to receive this kind of rhetoric?” Clark County Unit of the NAACP President Denise Williams shared this in a statement with WHIO.
Adding a surprising twist, Rodgers claims not to recall making the posts, attributing them to a potential medical issue. According to an investigative file, Rodgers informed supervisors he was on prescription sleep medication that could cause “out-of-character” behavior. He allegedly told investigators, “I do not remember writing these posts or deleting any posts.”

In light of these revelations, the Sheriff’s Office has issued a formal apology and reprimanded Rodgers for violating social media policies. However, they have allowed him to remain on duty.

Ex-Ohio Police Officer Found Guilty of Shooting Unarmed Man Holding a Cell Phone and Keys
After massive calls for justice, former Columbus, Ohio police officer Adam Coy was convicted of murder in the fatal shooting of Andre Hill, a man who was simply holding a cell phone and keys when he was killed.
Nearly four years ago, Coy fired four shots at Hill inside a garage — a shocking act from an officer who had served the Columbus police force for nearly two decades. Coy contended he thought Hill held a revolver.

“I thought I was going to die,” he testified. Yet, he claims wasn’t until he turned Hill’s lifeless body over that he realized the “revolver” was just a set of keys. “I knew at that point I made a mistake. I was horrified,” Coy said, visibly shaken.
Muffled cries filled the courtroom as the verdict was read, but Coy himself remained motionless, partially obscured by his lawyers. Although prosecutors pushed for immediate sentencing, Judge Stephen McIntosh set the sentencing date for November 25th.

Coy’s defense team argued that this verdict would send shockwaves across law enforcement. Brian Steel, president of the Columbus police union, was dumbfounded, calling it “absolutely insane.”
“Your split-second decision can now be led to murder,” he said. “Officers are willing to die for this job; they do not want to go to prison for it.”

Civil rights attorney Ben Crump, who represented Hill’s family, said the verdict reaffirms that “accountability in law enforcement is not optional.” Perhaps the deepest shock lies in the chilling bodycam footage, which shows an unarmed Hill holding up his cell phone before the fatal shots while officers waited almost 10 minutes to render aid as he bled on the garage floor.

Following this tragic incident, Columbus passed “Andre’s Law,” mandating immediate medical aid for suspects, and the city agreed to a $10 million settlement with Hill’s family, the largest in its history. But for Hill’s family, particularly his sister Shawna Barnett, the fight for justice remains paramount.
“It’s been way too long,” she said. “It’s time to stop. It’s time to make everything fair.”
