#MAGFAB: Joan Smalls in 'Divine Joan' Lensed by Fabien Montique for Numéro France #247
It’s appropriate for that supermodel Joan Smalls covered the September 2024 issue of Numéro France’s [IG] #247 Sensuel issue weeks before the recent Roberto Cavalli Spring 2025 show.

The Numero #247 story ‘Divine Joan’ is styled by MaherJridi with images by Fabien Montique [IG]. / Hair by Annesofie Begtrup; makeup by Harold James
Smalls joined other original favorite Roberto Cavalli models to close the Spring 2025 show in a post-founder world, now in the hands of creative director Fausto Puglisi.
Sensuality in all its forms lives in the DNA of the Puerto-Rican model and talent, who became the first Latina to represent Estée Lauder beauty.
In 2017, Joan Smalls fronted ‘Untamed Beauty’, part of Narcisse #7 ‘Wild Issue’. And she burned the house down to the ground in ‘Fight Fire with Fire’ by Steven Klein. Smalls joined Ajak Deng, Maria Borge and Riley Montana in utterly-scorching images for V Magazine #94 Spring 2015.

#RHOA: Porsha Williams Teases a *Very* Dramatic Hair Change: "Help Y'all!"
Porsha Williams, who has tried various hair colors and styles (including mermaid-length red strands and honey-blonde curls), once again wants to go in a new direction with her hair.
"HELP y'all!! I just took my sew-in out for NO REASON (why do we do that)," The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member began in an October 1 Instagram selfie in bed as she prompted her followers to steer her in the right direction. "Anyway, what style should I use next ????"

Porsha threw out a few ideas she had in mind for a new 'do, including "Red hair" and a "wavy long black" look. She also teased the idea of wearing a "side part classic" style or braids, as well as a "bob" or "blonde" style.

Since she's considering a new 'do, let's revisit some of Porsha's past styles for a little inspiration.
In December 2023, Porsha revealed a super short dark brunette coif in an Instagram video and revealed why it was styled as such. "This is why people with short hair end up cutting it while tryna grow it!" she captioned the post, joking, "I’m looking like any mom from the 90’s movies."

Porsha also included the phrase "trust the process!" further teasing what kind of style was interested in next. "Bob loading" she wrote in a hashtag, adding "hair journey" in another hashtag.

#HipHopNews: Kanye West “Headed For Divorce” From Bianca Censori

Kanye West is reportedly close to his second divorce. According to TMZ, the couple has “hit a rough patch” after nearly two years of marriage. The couple has admitted to friends they split up a few weeks ago, and Censori has been aback in her home country of Australia staying with family.
Sources say West has been telling people he wants to move to Tokyo and divorce Censori. They were last photographed together on September 20, a strange occurrence considering they are usually inseparable.

Kanye West married Bianca Censori in December 2022 after securing a “confidential” marriage license. Their union follows West’s highly publicized divorce from Keeping Up with the Kardashians star Kim Kardashian.
The couple’s marriage, while relatively private, has been marked by their travels, including a controversial trip to Italy in 2023, where some of their public behavior and fashion choices stirred controversy in the conservative nation. Censori consistently drew criticism for her risqué outfits, which involved very little clothing.

Kanye West’s divorce from Kardashian marked the end of one of the most high-profile marriages in modern celebrity culture. The couple, who married in 2014, spent nearly seven years together before Kardashian filed for divorce in February 2021, citing irreconcilable differences.
Throughout their relationship, they produced four children—North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm—while building an empire that intertwined their personal lives with business ventures and media influence. Despite their initial displays of unity, their marriage faced mounting struggles, particularly around West’s mental health battles, erratic public behavior and differences in their lifestyle choices.

The divorce was finalized in November 2022, with the former couple agreeing to joint custody of their children.

BREAKING! Robert Saleh Has Been FIRED by The New York Jets!

The Jets have fired head coach Robert Saleh on Tuesday after a 2-3 start to the season, a source confirmed.
Saleh was 20-36 as the Jets coach five games into his fourth season on the job.
Defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich is reportedly being named the interim head coach.

The Jets entered the 2024 season with Super Bowl aspirations as quarterback Aaron Rodgers returned from a season-ending injury in 2023.
The Jets have not looked good in the early part of the season, though, and have dropped the last two games.
The final straw was a 23-17 loss to the Vikings in London on Sunday, a game in which Aaron Rodgers threw three interceptions and the offense looked lost for much of the game.

More to come on this developing story

Foxy Brown Addresses Rumors Regarding Jay-Z “Relationship” And Alleged NDA
Foxy Brown is addressing those who keep trying to use her name to paint Jay-Z in a bad light.
On Sunday (Oct. 6), the Brooklynite took to Instagram to address some “bullsh*t” speculation that Jay-Z forced her to sign an NDA, preventing her from telling all about her alleged “relationship” with the mogul. In one post, the rapper directly responded to Tisa Tells’ video about Brown and her connection to the businessman.

Brown called the YouTuber’s post “fake news” and insisted that she would never sign a non-disclosure agreement, let alone one with Hov. “In icon business! Miss me wit tha fake news. NDA? Ain’t a MF alive that could stop my story. NDA on my sh*t gon run 100 mil,” she typed on her IG Story. “Stop playin’ wit ma name dyin’ for a comment! Can’t spin me with the sucker sh*t to take Hov down. Betta ask ’bout tha cloth I’m cut from…Y’all want me to be anti-Hov so bad.”

Foxy posted a multitude of other posts to her IG Story regarding the speculation, including fan’s posts thanking her for calling out the misinformation being spread through social media. “Thank you for posting this! All these people making videos about you CLEARLY don’t follow you because us that do know you ain’t with the bullsh*t!! Much love and stay BLESSED,” one fan typed.

While it has been challenging to pinpoint exactly when the unsavory rumors began, some fans point to Nas’ “Ether” as the beginning relationship talk between Foxy and Hov. The track found Hov’s former rival rapping, “Foxy got you hot ’cause you kept your face in her p*ss / What you think, you getting girls now ’cause of your looks?”
Dame Dash recently addressed people attempting to lump Hov in with Diddy’s allegations. The former Roc-A-Fella mogul posted a video to his America Nu Network YouTube channel in late September. Dame was asked about the online speculation that Hov could be connected to Diddy’s “Freak Offs” and insisted that he didn’t want that to be true—regardless of their differences.

“They’re saying they’re going to pick him up next. I don’t wanna see that man going to jail,” Dame said. “As much as he’s been f**king with my money, I wanna hope that that’s the worst that he’s been doing. I would never want to hear that Jay was in a Freak Off party.”
Hov has never addressed any of the rumors.

R. Kelly Child Sex Crimes Appeal Refused By Supreme Court
The Supreme Court has declined to hear R. Kelly‘s appeal over his 2022 convictions on child pornography and enticement charges. The disgraced R&B singer, legal name Robert Kelly, has now exhausted all direct appeals from the verdict, per Billboard.
Kelly’s legal team based its appeal on the argument that the case should have been barred in the first place by the statute of limitations. His attorney Jennifer Bonjean explained to the outlet earlier this year that an updated federal law extending the time limit was passed in 2003, arguing it could not be used in accusations against Kelly’s because his alleged crimes occurred between the late 1990s and early 2000s.

“Retroactive application of the 2003 amendment [does] not only fly in the face of congressional intent,” Bonjean detailed. “It violates notions of fundamental fairness.
R. Kelly turns to leave after appearing at a hearing at the Leighton Criminal Courthouse on September 17, 2019 in Chicago, Illinois. Kelly is facing multiple sexual assault charges and is being held without bail. Antonio Perez – Pool via Getty Images

In September 2022, Kelly was found guilty of three of four counts of production of child pornography and three of five counts of enticement of a minor to engage in criminal sexual activity. Kelly was found not guilty on all charges related to a conspiracy, and two counts of receiving child pornography. The following February, he was sentenced to 20 years in prison.

His petition to the Supreme Court was made in July 2024.
According to the Associated Press, Kelly has also appealed a separate 30-year sentence for federal racketeering and sex trafficking convictions in New York. The 57-year-old was convicted of those charges in September 2021.

Authorities identify pregnant woman shot, killed outside Wawa in Delaware County

Authorities have identified the pregnant woman who was shot and killed outside a Wawa in Delaware County on Saturday night.
It happened just before 7:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the store along the 900 block of McDade Boulevard in Collingdale, Pennsylvania.
Authorities responded to the scene for reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, officers found a gunshot victim, who was pronounced dead a short time later.
The victim has since been identified as 32-year-old Latoya Davis, who authorities say was pregnant at the time.
Police say another woman, 30-year-old Evelena Williams, was at the scene after the shooting.

According to investigators, Williams told police she was the one who shot Davis when she was questioned about the incident.
Police also said Williams told them that she was licensed to carry a firearm.
Williams also reportedly told police she fired one shot at the victim before placing her gun in her car.
Officers say later on, they did locate a firearm in Williams' vehicle.
Investigators recovered surveillance video that shows a confrontation between both women inside the store.
The two women did not know each other beforehand, police say.
"Unfortunately they ended up parking their cars next to each other," said Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer.
Video from the Wawa captured Williams shooting Davis as Davis was running away, according to the D.A.'s office.

Williams is now facing charges in connection with this incident. She is being held without bail.
Anyone with information should contact the police.

Al Pacino Clarifies He's 'Just Friends' With Noor Alfallah After Her Encounter With Bill Maher
Bill Maher and Al Pacino’s once girlfriend Noor Alfallah sparked relationship rumors over the weekend.
The 68-year-old comedian and the 30-year-old film producer were photographed leaving the Cheateau Marmont in Los Angeles in a black sedan after midnight on Sunday, according to Page Six.

If the name rings a bell, Alfallah was once presumably romantically linked to Al Pacino, 84, and recently had a son, Roman, in June 2023.
However, when asked by People on Monday if the Oscar-winning actor was in a relationship at the moment, Pacino merely said, “No. I have friendship (sic).”

"Al and Noor are very good friends, have been for years, and are co-parents to their son Roman,” Pacino’s rep added.
Alfallah filed for full physical custody of their son while sharing joint legal custody with Pacino last September. At the time, Pacino’s rep confirmed to TMZ that the couple were still together. Two months later, a Los Angeles judge ordered the Scarface star to pay $30,000 per month in child support to Alfallah.

Pacino, who has never married, shares daughter Julie, 34, with acting coach Jan Tarrant. He also fathered 23-year-old twins, Anton and Olivia, with ex Beverly D’Angelo.
Alfallah has also never tied the knot, telling a TMZ reporter last November that she’s “not the marrying type.”

Reggaeton Artist El Taiger Remains in Critical Condition Following Shooting in Miami

Reggaeton singer El Taiger remains in critical condition after being shot in Miami, Florida on Thursday.
The Cuban star, born Jose Manuel Carbajal Zadivar, was found inside of a black Mercedes SUV in the third row of the car, People reports. Police were alerted of the incident shortly after 7 a.m. and removed the 37-year-old from the vehicle by pulling him out of the trunk.

ABC affiliate WPLG Local 10 also reported that two red gas containers were discovered on the roof of the SUV above the driver’s side back passenger seat.
Taiger was then rushed to a local hospital where he underwent surgery and was placed on life support due to significant damage to his brain, his rep Carlos Alfaro confirmed to NBC 6 Miami.
Mike Vega, a Miami PD spokesperson, also told the news station on Thursday that it has not been determined whether or not Taiger’s wound was self-inflicted and that there was no evidence that the shot was fired in the car.

"Our officers are investigating because we think this didn't happen in the city of Miami. We're sure that it didn't happen in that corner where the vehicle was found. This happened in another place; someone brought him here, left him and left on foot," said Vega in Spanish to NBC 6.
Taiger’s manager, Macel Reinosa, told CBS News Miami that the person of interest allegedly knew the singer and was the person who supposedly called 911.
"Nobody in the team believes that he committed suicide, based on what they are saying on the bullet," said Reinosa. "It was in the front of his head, so I would really doubt someone would shoot himself and then get on the back of the trunk by himself."
Although a person of interest has been interviewed by police, there are currently no suspects in custody. Police are continuing to gather evidence without disclosing specific details such as the owner of the SUV the singer was found in.

Court records also revealed that Taiger faced two criminal arrests following his arrest on July 28, per WPLG Local 10. He was charged with felony strong arm robbery and battery on July 29 and a misdemeanor for resisting an officer on July 30, pleading not guilty to both.
The felony case was closed on Aug. 19, and he was released on a $500 bond for the misdemeanor charge on Aug. 23. His next court hearing was scheduled for Oct. 9.

Yung Miami asked to sign baby oil bottle by TikToker
A social media influencer got slick and slippery with Yung Miami by asking her to sign a bottle of Johnson & Johnson baby oil in Atlanta on Monday, Oct. 7.
The silence from Yung Miami’s camp has been deafening in recent months, particularly since armed federal agents raided Sean “Diddy” Combs’ palatial estates in Los Angeles and Miami in March 2024. Diddy and Miami had been dating for the past couple of years and Yung Miami, a member of the City Girls, had been trumpeting their national and intercontinental excursions loudly on her Instagram pages.

That all changed after the feds paid Diddy, 54, that surprise visit. Yung Miami has since retreated into the shadows.
It doesn’t help that Miami, 30, whose real name is Caresha Brownlee, previously admitted publicly that she liked golden showers during her sexual relations sessions.
After leaving Saucy Santana’s birthday bash at the Opium Nightclub in Atlanta, Yung Miami was outside signing items and grinning for fans. But when TikTok user @neverknowwhatagonnasee asked Miami if she’d sign a bottle of baby oil, Yung Miami’s mood changed.

Miami’s smile vanished instantly. She rolled her eyes and rolled up the window on the young inquirer. A man who looked like security ordered the gentleman to vacate the space as Yung Miami pulled off.

Halle Berry Weighs In On Ex-Husband Eric Benet's Sex Addiction Claims
Halle Berry has responded to ex-husband Eric Benet's claims that he's struggling with a sex addiction. The "Catwoman" actress weighed in on the matter during her appearance on Dax Shepard's "Armchair Expert" podcast.
In the Monday, October 7 episode, Halle declared that she didn't buy her ex's statement. "I had one husband who said he was a sex addict, but I don't f**king believe that s**t," she said, though she didn't elaborate more.

Halle didn't name names in the sit-down. However, it was wildly reported that Eric went to rehab for sex addiction in 2002.
The former spouses tied the knot in 2001 after dating for two years. They, however, called it quits in 2003 with Halle confirming their split in a statement which read, "Eric and I have had marital problems for some time now and have tried to work things out together."

She continued, "However, at this point, I feel we need time apart to reevaluate our union. We ask that you respect our privacy as we are going through this emotional time."
It was rumored that Eric cheated on the "The Union" actress during their marriage because of his alleged sex addiction. The singer/songwriter, meanwhile, shut down the sex addiction claim, telling ABC News back in 2004, "I am not a sex addict. I am a person who … through a series of emotional events, troubles, challenges, made some really, really stupid, painful mistakes."

Following their split, Halle dated model Gabriel Aubry, with whom she shares daughter Nahla. They, however, separated in 2010 and were involved a long and contentious legal battle over custody. She later moved on with Olivier Martinez, whom she wed in July 2013. The pair, who share son Maceo-Robert together, divorced in 2016.
Halle is now dating her boyfriend of four years, Van Hunt. Reflecting on their relationship, the star said, "We celebrated when we hit four years like we had been married 20 years, that's how big it was for me personally. He's had long relationships, not me. … We both were scared. He was waiting for the shoe to drop, and I was waiting to drop the f**king shoe. Because I just can't get past that."

She continued, "It's been such a relief. 'OK, yes, I can do this relationship thing.' And he is my person and you just know it. And [he's] calm and he's what I've been dreaming of, searching for, needing."
Eric, on the other hand, got married to Manuela Testolini in July 2011. The couple share two daughters Lucia Bella, 12, and Amoura Luna, 10.

Taylor Swift Surpasses Rihanna as Richest Female Musician with $1.6 Billion Net Worth: Report
Taylor Swift is now the richest female musician in the world, narrowly inching out Rihanna from the top spot.
According to Forbes, Swift, who reached billionaire status late last year, had a net worth increase as a result of her successful Eras Tour. Swift holds the record for the largest tour gross ever, netting over $2 billion for 125 shows, or approximately $16 million per show.

The "Bad Blood" singer is now valued at an estimated $1.6 billion.
In addition to touring, Swift's increase in fortune also comes from her catalog being valued at $600 million, an additional $600 million in royalties, and about $125 million in real estate from her multiple homes across the United States, Forbes reports.

Her Eras Tour film was also a success, raking in over $261 million at the box office since its October 2023 premiere.
Swift made headlines after announcing that she would be re-recording all of her old albums so that she retains the credits, masters, and royalties of her music. Since then, her "Taylor's Version" recreations of songs have been successful. "I think that artists deserve to own their work," she said in a 2019 Good Morning Americainterview. "I just feel very passionately about that."

The previous title-holder for world's richest female musician was Rihanna.
The R&B singer's successful cosmetics line Fenty Beauty, and her lingerie line Savage X Fenty account for most of her fortune. Rihanna notably hasn't released an album in nearly a decade since 2016's ANTI.

Nonetheless, her 2007 album Good Girl Gone Bad has spent three years on the Billboard 200.

Coachella Couldn’t Pull Kendrick Lamar or Rihanna

Coachella just keeps striking out. Bloomberg reported that not one, but two of the festival’s top-choice headliners turned down 2025 appearances. Founder Paul Tollett reportedly approached Kendrick Lamar and Rihanna with offers last spring, and both declined. That would’ve been before Lamar even got the Super Bowl gig; per Bloomberg, he’s planning a stadium tour to follow. Rihanna, meanwhile, just seems to be focused on growing her business. (Sorry, no new-album hope there.) But how about Fred again.. — again? Hits Daily Double reported the U.K. dance producer “is a lock” for one of the headlining slots, just two years after he closed weekend two with Skrillex and Four Tet. Hits, a usually trusted Coachella source, also speculates that a country-pop act like Post Malone or Morgan Wallen could headline. (Hits also suggested Jelly Roll, but he’s already set to play Coachella’s country counterpart, Stagecoach.) On the rap front, Hits pitched Travis Scott after he was first set to headline in 2020. If Lamar’s out of this one, we hear Lil Wayne is available too.

Lamar and Rihanna would’ve helped the festival rebound after multiple pandemic cancellations, a chaotic 2023, and a pretty safe lineup earlier this year (that took weeks to sell out). While Fred again.. may be headliner material after closing Bonnaroo this year, he’s certainly not the A-list talent Coachella seems to be shooting for. Where’s a big rock reunion when you need one? Just not them.

Mega Millions to Raise Ticket Price by 150% in April 2025

Mega Millions tickets will increase in price by a significant amount next year.
Lottery officials have announced that tickets will raise in price by 150% beginning in April 2025. They promise that in addition to the price change, additional adjustments “will result in improved jackpot odds, more frequent giant prizes and even larger payouts,” according to the Associated Press.

So, what’s the new price?  The price per ticket will increase from $2 to $5.
“Spending 5 bucks to become a millionaire or billionaire, that’s pretty good,” lottery official Joshua Johnston said in a statement.
In response to the price increase, Johnston noted, “You pay 5 bucks for your Starbucks.”

Powerball officials say there are no plans to make changes to ticket prices or game odds.

Legendary singer and songwriter, Otis Redding, was posthumously honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The unveiling ceremony took place at 6150 Hollywood Boulevard, where the late artist’s name was immortalized in the category of Live Theatre/Live Performance. The 2,791st star on the Walk of Fame now proudly bears the name of one of the most influential figures in American music history. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, which administers the Walk of Fame, proudly hosted this event, which celebrated the life and enduring legacy of the King of Soul.

In attendance at the Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony from the Redding family were Zelma Redding, Otis Redding’s beloved widow, his son Dexter Redding, daughter Karla Redding-Andrews, grandson Justin Andrews, and son-in-law, Timothy Andrews. Zelma Redding, who has played a pivotal role in preserving her husband’s legacy, stood proudly with her family, reflecting on the remarkable impact he left behind.

Karla Redding-Andrews accepted the star on behalf of her late father, expressing her pride in his legacy both as a visionary artist and as a family man.
“He loved his wife, he loved his family, he loved his children, and he loved his fans around the world,” she said during her emotional speech. “Today, we honor not just the music, but the incredible man behind it.”

The ceremony, emceed by GRAMMY Award-winning producer and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Jimmy Jam, was a moving tribute to Redding’s indelible impact on the world of music. Other notable attendees included Verdine White, bassist for Earth, Wind & Fire, and actor Omar Dorsey. Among the speakers was GRAMMY-winning Hip-Hop artist, Killer Mike, who spoke personally of Redding’s influence on his life, not only as a musician but as a man of character.

Otis Redding, a native of Macon, Georgia, rose to prominence in the 1960s with timeless hits like “(Sittin’ On) The Dock of the Bay,” “Try a Little Tenderness,” and “Respect.” His career was tragically cut short when he died in a plane crash at the age of 26. Throughout his career, Redding scored five Top 5 albums and 17 Top 20 singles on the R&B charts. His other posthumous accomplishments include an induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1989, the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1994, and a GRAMMY Lifetime Achievement Award.

Redding’s influence continues through the work of the Otis Redding Foundation, led by Zelma Redding and Karla Redding-Andrews, which empowers youth through music education programs. This winter, the Otis Redding Center for the Arts is scheduled to open in Macon, Georgia, further expanding his legacy by providing opportunities for young artists to explore and develop their musical talents.

Adding to the celebration of Redding’s legacy, Fifth Season, a leading production company, will bring the life of Otis Redding to the big screen. The highly anticipated biopic will star Star Wars actor John Boyega as Otis Redding and Till actress Danielle Deadwyler as his wife, Zelma. The film, titled Otis & Zelma, is set to begin production in 2025.

The dedication of Otis Redding’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame serves as a lasting tribute to a man whose contributions to music and society continue to inspire generations. From Kanye West and Jay-Z’s hit song, “Otis,” to countless covers of his timeless classics, Redding’s influence on music is undeniable. His vision of music as a universal force, transcending cultural and social barriers, remains a cornerstone of his legacy. As his songs continue to resonate with new audiences and a major biopic is in the works, the world is once again reminded of the profound impact he made, despite his life being tragically cut short.

Bobby Brown Honors Late Former Mother-in-Law Cissy Houston
*Bobby Brown paid tribute to his former mother-in-law, legendary gospel musician Cissy Houston, following news that she passed away on Oct. 7 at 91.
“Sending love and blessings to the Houston family on this great loss,” said Brown and his wife Alicia Etheredge-Brown in a statement with PEOPLE. “May she rest in Peace and Power. The Browns.”

Their daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, died at a hospice in July 2015 at age 22, six months after she was found unresponsive in a bath.

In 2016, Brown didn’t hold back during his candid conversation about his marriage to Whitney in an interview with 20/20. At the time, Cissy called his remarks “disturbing” and said, “I am deeply disappointed that this interview to promote the story of Bobby’s life seemed to be more of an exposé on Whitney’s life.”

We reported earlier that Cissy died Monday while under hospice care for Alzheimer’s disease at her home in New Jersey. In a heartfelt statement, Pat Houston, Cissy’s daughter-in-law, expressed the family’s profound grief over their loss.
“Our hearts are filled with pain and sadness. We lost the matriarch of our family,” she said. “Mother Cissy has been a strong and towering figure in our lives. A woman of deep faith and conviction, who cared greatly about family, ministry, and community. Her more than seven-decade career in music and entertainment will remain at the forefront of our hearts.”

Pat added, “Her contributions to popular music and culture are unparalleled. We are blessed and grateful that God allowed her to spend so many years with us and we are thankful for all the many valuable life lessons that she taught us. May she rest in peace, alongside her daughter, Whitney and granddaughter Bobbi Kristina and other cherished family members.”

In a statement, the Houston family has expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support and love from fans.
“We are touched by your generous support and your outpouring of love during our profound time of grief,” the family stated.

Sally Field Details Her ‘Traumatic’ and ‘Hideous’ Illegal Abortion From 1964 to Urge Voters to Elect Kamala Harris: ‘We Can’t Go Back’
Sally Field posted a video to Instagram in which she remembered the “hideous” and “traumatic” illegal abortion she underwent in 1964 before her Hollywood acting career took off. The Oscar winner first wrote about the abortion in her 2018 memoir “In Pieces,” but she revived the story ahead of the upcoming presidential election as a call for voters to elect Kamala Harris.

“I’ve been so hesitant to do this, to tell my horrific story,” Field wrote in the caption to the video. “It was during a time even worse than now. A time when contraception was not readily available and only if you were married. But I feel that so many women of my generation went through similar, traumatic events and I feel stronger when I think of them. I believe, like me, they must want to fight for their grandchildren and all the young women of this country.”

“It’s one of the reasons why so many of us are supporting Kamala Harris and Tim Walz,” the actor continued. “Everyone, please, pay attention to this election, up and down the ballot, in every state – especially those with ballot initiatives that could protect reproductive freedom. PLEASE. WE CAN’T GO BACK!!”

Field explained in the video that she still feels “very shamed” about the illegal abortion “because I was raised in the ’50s, and it’s ingrained in me.” The actor said that her family doctor brought her to Tijuana, Mexico after she became pregnant in order to perform the abortion.
“We parked on a really scroungy-looking street, it was scary and he parked about three blocks away and said, ‘See that building down there?’ And he gave me an envelope with cash and I was to walk into that building and give them the cash and then come right back to him,” Field said.

The actor called the experience “beyond hideous and life-altering” and said she “had no anesthetic” during the procedure.
“There was a technician giving me a few puffs of ether but he would then take it away, so it just made my arms and legs feel numb [and] weird, but I felt everything — how much pain I was in,” Field said. “Then the situation turned darker. I realized that the technician was actually molesting me, so I had to figure out, how can I make my arms move to push him away? So it was just this absolute pit of shame. And then, when it was finished, they said, ‘Go go go go go!’, like the building was on fire. And they didn’t want me there, you know, it was illegal.”

Field noted that she “wasn’t really an actor” at the time of the procedure. She’d go on to book her breakout sitcom “Gidget” a few months afterwards. Hollywood painted her as “the quintessential, all-American girl next door,” which was in contrast to the shame she felt over the abortion.

“And these are the things that women are going through now — when they’re trying to get to another state, they don’t have the money, they don’t have the means, they don’t know where they’re going,” Field said. “And it’s beyond, how you can go back to that and do that to our little girls and our young women, and not have respect and regard for their health and their own decisions about whether they feel they’re able to give birth to a child at that time.”

Field has endorsed Harris for president since the vice president officially launched her campaign in August after Joe Biden stepped down from the ticket. The actor told Variety at the time: “I am so grateful to Joe Biden for his extraordinary 54 years serving this country. The decision he made to step down is heroic and that of a great man. And, as a working woman, a mother and grandmother to a very diverse group, I support the candidacy of Vice President Kamala Harris with my whole 77-year-old heart.”

Krispy Kreme Celebrates ‘Ghostbusters’ 40th Anniversary with New Spooky Doughnuts

Krispy Kreme is getting into the Halloween spirit with a special release of Ghostbusters–inspired doughnuts, marking the 40th anniversary of the iconic 1984 movie. Starting October 7, fans can indulge in the Krispy Kreme x Ghostbusters Collection, which includes four themed doughnuts and a glowing neon drink.
First up is the Ghostbusters Cookies N’ Creme Doughnut, a classic glazed doughnut dipped in chocolate icing and topped with Oreo cookie crumbles, Oreo buttercream, and the signature No Ghost logo. It’s a perfect blend of crunchy and creamy flavors.

Next is the Ecto-Sprinkled Doughnut, also made with an original glazed doughnut, but this time dipped in orange icing and topped with vibrant neon sprinkles to match the spooky season.
Two of the doughnuts pay tribute to the original film’s famous ghosts. The Slimer Doughnut comes packed with lemon filling, dipped in purple icing, and decorated with a slime-shaped green icing and Slimer candy. Meanwhile, the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man Doughnut Pull-Apart is a pull-apart creation using glazed doughnut dots to form the iconic character’s body, complete with marshmallow-flavored buttercream and a candy piece to complete the look.

To top it all off, Krispy Kreme is offering Slimer’s Slime-ade, a neon-green twist on lemonade, perfect for those who want a drink with their spooky treat.

The original Ghostbusters film, starring Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Ernie Hudson, and Sigourney Weaver, was a massive hit in 1984, earning $300 million at the box office. Now fans can relive the ghostbusting fun while enjoying these festive, limited-edition treats.
