#RHOA: Andy Cohen Responds to Phaedra Parks’ ‘RHOA’ Return!
Andy Cohen supports Phaedra Parks' return to RHOA , believing she will enhance the show's quality.
Parks reemerged after leaving RHOA , participating in other reality shows and giving a commencement speech at her alma mater.
While not focused on marriage, Parks is enjoying dating and wants to keep her money for her kids.

Andy Cohen is officially breaking his silence on Phaedra Parks’ return to The Real Housewives of Atlanta! With Kenya Moore’s controversial exit from the show, Parks is all set to return to Bravo and Cohen can’t be happier! The TV show host is extremely excited for Parks to make her comeback because she’s going to make the show so much better!
While speaking to TMZ, Cohen teased that RHOA Season 16 is going to be amazing. The Bravo executive producer also hopes that the ratings for the upcoming season will skyrocket with Parks’ return. Phaedra Parks joined the show during RHOA Season 3 and was booted in Season 9 for starting rumors about her then-costar Kandi Burruss and her husband Todd Tucker.

Phaedra Parks’ return comes a season after Burrus, Marlo Hampton, Sanya Richards-Ross, and her Traitors castmate Sheree Whitfield exited. However, Parks isn’t the only one making a big comeback with RHOA Season 16. Porsha Williams is also returning to the reality show to reunite her and Parks’s on-screen duo famously known as "Frick and Frack.”
After departing from The Real Housewives of Atlanta in Season 9, Parks appeared on The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip Season 2 and Married to Medicine Season 10. She continued her reality TV career by competing on The Traitors Season 2 and continuing her run in the franchise by appearing as a guest on The Real Housewives of Dubai Season 1.

Not just that, the reality star also recently returned to her law school alma mater, the University of Georgia, to deliver a commencement speech for the graduating class. She shared part of her speech on her Instagram, calling the occasion one of the best days of her life. Additionally, Phaedra became the president of the Law School Alumni Council, which goes to show her commitment to her roots.
As far as her love life goes, the RHOA star recently told People that marriage isn’t the most important thing for her right now, especially after her rough divorce from ex-husband Apollo Nida. She described her feelings on the matter by saying: “I have two wonderful children. I don’t want to have any more children, and I don’t want to have to give anybody any money in a divorce settlement. I want to keep all my money for my kids.” While marriage might not be in the cards for Parks, she is having fun and dating new people. However, she’s not ready to share the details of her current love life with the public just yet.

This is the first new single from Chrisette Michele since she released the song “Wait” back in 2020.

#HipHopNews:  Kendrick Lamar's Unreleased Verse From Frank Ocean's 'nights' Surfaces!
There was also unsubstantiated speculation on social media that Lamar’s verse was part of a reference track for himself before the beat was passed to the “Pyramids” singer, although this is unlikely considering “Nights” was produced by Frank himself alongside close collaborators Vegyn, Michael Uzowuru and Buddy Ross.

Neiter artists has yet commented on the leak, but plenty of fans have had their say with the reception to Kendrick’s verse being mixed.
One fan did not like the experimental nature of Kendrick’s verse, writing: “I fw Kendrick but some times this n-gga does bullshit on instrumentals and make weird ass voices and people swear it’s experimental shit sounds horrible.”

Another listener commented: “The verse is great but it would have ruined the flow of the song i think, could’ve been a cool deluxe/bonus track though.”
Someone else, however, wished the verse would have stayed on the finished product: “This is actually fire Frank should have kept his verse in the album.”

Another Kendrick Lamar leak became the topic of discussion last week after Big Sean revealed that the Compton rapper apologized to him for a particularly scathing diss song.
On the unreleased song, Kendrick raps: “Big Sean keep sneak dissin,’ I let it slide / I think his false confidence got him inspired / I can’t make them respect you, baby, it’s not my job / You finally famous for who you date, not how you rhyme (boy).”

In an interview with Charlamagne Tha God, Sean showed the Breakfast Club co-host the text that Kendrick sent him after the track, which was an early version of his 2017 DAMN. cut “ELEMENT.,” made its way online last year.
“That song [‘ELEMENT.’] came out and he changed that bar. I had to keep that in mind ’cause I was pissed when I heard it,” he said. “He changed that on his own so he probably came to the conclusion that it was nothing.

“So then me and him talked, and I got the text in my phone […] He apologized in a sense for going that far and for that shit coming out.”
He added: “When that shit leaks, people are like, ‘You heard what he said about you?!’ I’m like […] ‘We already talked about it. I already got an apology for it.’ I ain’t really had too much communication with him since then.”

Sean also revealed that he had a response to the song ready after initially hearing the leak.

#BoxOfficeNews: ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Continues Box Office Domination With $96 Million Second Weekend

As expected, Marvel Studios’ “Deadpool & Wolverine” is continuing its unprecedented box office run, as it is projected by industry estimates to drop just 55% from its $211 million opening weekend to earn a stellar $96 million this weekend, ranking among the top 10 highest second weekends of all time.

That result would top the opening weekend of every other film released this year save for “Inside Out 2,” and means that it will pass Mel Gibson’s 2003 film “The Passion of the Christ” to become the highest grossing R-Rated film in North America before inflation adjustment. It also needed just two weekends to pass the domestic runs of the two previous “Deadpool” films, as it is well on course to clear $500 million from North American grosses alone.
Elsewhere, the top opening weekend of this frame goes to M. Night Shyamalan’s latest thriller “Trap,” which earned $6.7 million from 3,181 locations on opening day and is on course for an industry estimated opening weekend of $15.5 million, meeting pre-release projections. Distributed by Warner Bros., the film carries a reported $30 million budget that, like all of Shyamalan’s films, is self-produced by the director’s Blinding Edge Pictures.

Starring Josh Hartnett as a serial killer caught in the middle of an FBI operation to arrest him while he takes his daughter to a pop concert, “Trap” has divided critics and audiences, earning a C+ on CinemaScore and Rotten Tomatoes scores of 46% critics and 62% audience.
The big bust of the weekend is Sony/Columbia’s “Harold and the Purple Crayon,” earning an opening weekend of just $6 million from 3,325 locations, opening outside the top 5 and below the estimated $6.7 million earned by “Inside Out 2” in its eighth weekend.

The silver lining for the adaptation of the classic children’s novel starring Zachary Levi is that it has been well received by the family audiences who did see it, giving it an A- on CinemaScore even as critics panned it with a 29% Rotten Tomatoes score. But with “Inside Out 2” and “Despicable Me 4” still in theaters, it is likely that “Harold” won’t have the space to leg out.

#2024ParisOlympics: Noah Lyles Wins Gold For US In Men’s 100M In Photo Finish
Noah Lyles talks a lot of sh*t but rest assured — he can back it up. On Sunday (Aug. 4), the Team USA sprinter won his career-first gold in the men’s 100m final at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Looking to confirm he’s the “world’s fastest man,” Lyles proved it with a personal best record of 9.784 seconds, which thrust him past his competition. But it was beating Jamaica‘s Kishane Thompson, who previously held the world’s fastest time in 2024, by 0.005 of a second—a true photo finish.

Lyles spoke to ESPN at the post-race presser, detailing how close the race was. The newly decorated gold medalist admitted he thought he would lose to Thompson, and he felt he needed to “lean” forward a bit at the end of the foot race.
“We were waiting for the names to pop up, and I’m going to be honest, I came over [Jamaica’s Thompson], and I was like: ‘I think you got that one, big dawg!‘” Lyles told reporters. “Something said I need to lean, and I was like, ‘I’m going to lean,’ because it’s that type of race.”

“What’s crazy is my [biomechanist] Ralph Mann, before I left for Paris, he’s like, ‘This is how close first and second is going to be away from each other,'” Lyles said, gesturing with his hands. “I can’t believe how right he was.”
Omega, the Olympics’ official timekeeper, reported that Lyles hit his peak speed at the 65.15-meter mark. The Florida native’s peak reached 43.6 km/h or 27.1 mph, a speed which he maintained for the remainder of the race.

His journey to his gold medal moment wasn’t full of first-place finishes, though. Lyles placed second in the semifinal qualifying race with a 9.83-second time, losing to Jamaica’s Oblique Seville by 0.02 seconds.
During that race, Lyles thought he passed Seville and began staring down the Jamaican sprinter as they both crossed the finish line. Lyles’ actions were a response to Seville staring him down in a race back in June, while Oblique stared him down towards the end of that race. However, Noah would get the last laugh as he finished first in the 100m race while Seville completed the competition in last place.

And if that wasn’t enough potential inspiration for a feature-length movie about Noah Lyles, wait, there’s more. Jamaican athlete Junelle Bromfield, who also happens to be Lyles’ girlfriend, leaped into the runner’s arms after his soon-to-be memorable finish. According to reporter Chris Chavez, the couple is celebrating their two-year anniversary on Monday (Aug. 5) and spoke to Bromfield about Lyles’ win and how his competitive nature is “rubbing off on her.”

“I’m extremely happy for Noah. I’ve heard him talking about wanting to win the Olympic 100m so many times… Before he went out there yesterday, I told him that he was definitely going to win,” Bromfield said. “After the semifinals, I told him the same thing. He and his whole family believed and he came out victorious.”
“His confidence is rubbing off on me. I’m out here running the individual 400m. I’ve been to the Olympics before, and the world championships, doing the 4x400m relay, and now I have my own lane here.”

Noah will have the opportunity to take home a second gold medal when he runs in the 200-meter final on Thursday (Aug. 8)

The Game Confirms He’s Expecting A Child, Reportedly With Evelyn Lozada’s Daughter, Shaniece

Months after The Game was reported to be expecting a child, he has confirmed the much-discussed baby news.
During a sit-down with The Shade Room, the Compton wordsmith revealed that he is expecting his fourth child, saying that welcoming a child in his 40s has led him to contemplate aging as a parent.
“I think about it in terms of years,” he said. “I’m 44. When my new child is 21, I’ll be 65, right? And that seems kinda old, until you start thinking about who’s 65 now.” The “How We Do” rapper then name-drops Mariah Carey, 55, and JAY-Z, 54, as public figures whose, “next big birthday is probably 60, and they’re still out here looking young and looking cool. It ain’t that bad.”

“It’s going to be a different parenting experience than when I was young. When I was young, I was still hardheaded, still in the streets…I don’t know how I even made it to this point in my life doing the things that I was doing, but I made it. My kids are all fine, smart, straight A students and good, so it’ll just be interesting to parent at this age.”

The Game shares eldest son, Harlem Caron, 21, with Aleska Jordan. He shares son King Justice, 17, and daughter Cali Dream, 13, with Tiffney Cambridge.
As for whom he’s expecting with this time around, InTouch has reported that the rapper will be welcoming his new child with Shaniece Hairston, daughter of Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada. While neither party has confirmed the report, the pair were spotted together grabbing dinner at NoBu in December 2023, fueling relationship rumors.

Hairston shared her baby news back in June, with Lozada taking to social media to express her joy over soon becoming an “abuelita.”
“Happy birthday to my AMAZING daughter @shanieceh. You have always been my greatest blessing, and now you are bringing even more joy into our lives with your little one on the way,” wrote the Queen’s Court reality star at the time. “Becoming a mom at 17 was a journey we took together, and seeing you embrace motherhood fills my heart with pride and love. I am so excited to become ‘ABUELITA’ and to share this beautiful journey with you. Love you more than words can express!!!! Me & your dad are ready for this new title!!! Let’s goooooo!”

Miss Michigan Crowned Miss USA 2024 Amidst Pageant Resignations
Miss Michigan Alma Cooper has officially been crowned Miss USA 2024. Cooper was announced as the winner of the annual pageant, held in Los Angeles on August 4, at the Peacock Theater.
She was crowned by Miss USA 2023 Savannah Gankiewicz, who accepted the crown in May after the shocking resignation of former titleholder Noelia Voigt. Voigt, who made history as the first Venezuelan-American to win Miss USA, resigned for mental health reasons, alleging a toxic work environment within the organization.

Two days after Voigt's resignation, Miss Teen USA 2023 UmaSofia Srivastava also stepped down, citing a misalignment of values.
Cooper will represent the United States in the 2024 Miss Universe Pageant, which will take place in November. The new Miss Teen USA 2024, Mississippi's Addie Carver, was crowned on August 1.

Despite the recent pageant resignations, Gankiewicz has expressed satisfaction with her experience. She believes that raising awareness for Maui after the wildfires that ravaged the island has been a highlight of her reign.
Cooper's victory marks a new chapter in the Miss USA pageant's history. She will carry the responsibility of representing the country and advocating for positive values. Her message of empowerment and beauty, she hopes, will inspire young women to feel confident and pursue their dreams.

Beyonce is coming out to Support Kamala Harris during Campaign season

Beyonce Knowles may be making a shocking move regarding her political choice. After seemingly endorsing Kamala Harris for the presidential race against Donald Trump, the "Lemonade" singer allegedly will likely make a sharp political U-turn.
Beyonce, who previously appeared to be cautious when it comes to showing her political views, recently gave the vice president permission to use her song "Freedom" in her presidential campaign. It's now reported that the Grammy winner is planning to donate for the VP.

"Beyonce has cleared her schedule to attend a Kamala Harris fundraiser," an insider told Daily Mail. The pop star reportedly believes the "stakes are too high" to remain silent.
The informant divulged, "She feels the stakes are too high and believes in Kamala’s vision for America," adding that the singer is even set to donate funds towards the campaign. "She has set aside $4 million dollars to donate to the campaign, with plans to donate more if she sees the need to."

The source further noted that Queen Bey and her husband Jay-Z deliberately took a step back from politics after hosting a fundraising campaign for Barack Obama in 2012. The informant said, "Beyonce decided to step back in after people close to her showed her Project 25," referring to the radical Project 2025 plan which was developed by allies and former officials as a blueprint for a second Trump administration. However, Trump and his team dismissed the plan and called it "extreme."
Of Beyonce and Harris, the pair first met when Obama was campaigning in 2008. They later "became close friends" during the Joe Biden election, though they have never been seen together in public.

While Beyonce has yet to publicly address her support for Harris, the musician's mom Tina Knowles showed support for the politician last month. "New, Youthful, Sharp , , energy !!!!! You asked for it and our President Biden did what was best for the country ! Putting personal Ego , power and fame aside. That is the definition of a great leader, . Thank you, President Biden for your service and your leadership. Go Vice President Kamala Harris for President. Let's Go [heart emojis] #kamala2024," so she wrote on Instagram.

Wesley Snipes Sets 2 New Guinness World Records With 'Deadpool & Wolverine' Cameo
Wesley Snipes has a couple of new records to his name! The 62-year-old actor was one of quite a few surprise cameos in the new Deadpool & Wolverine movie, and his appearance set not one, but two Guinness World Records.
“Whuuuut?! 👀 Really? Do I get a certificate too?” Wesley reacted on Instagram. “Lordy Lordy Lordy…Thank you @guinnessworldrecords, I’m your fan!”

Wesley reprised his role of Blade/Eric Brooks for the first time in 20 years, after last playing him in Blade: Trinity in 2004.
This latest outing is 25 years and 340 days since he first played Blade in the 1998 film, which surpasses Hugh Jackman “for the record of longest career as a live action Marvel character,” according to Guinness World Records. Hugh first played Wolverine in 2000.

In addition, Wesley‘s cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine marks “the longest gap between character appearances in Marvel films,” with his last appearance being 19 years and 231 days ago in 2004′s Blade: Trinity.
Alfred Molina previously held that record with 17 years. He first played Doctor Octopus in 2004′s Spider-Man 2 and later reprised the role in 2021′s Spider-Man: No Way Home.
There is, of course, a new Blade movie in the upcoming Marvel lineup, but Wesley is not set to reprise the character. Mahershala Ali is set to take on the character next.

50 Cent Wins Kingpin Lawsuit brought against him by Cory “Ghost” Holland

Rapper 50 Cent wins $1 billion lawsuit filed against him after a local drug kingpin accuses him of stealing his life story for his popular Power series...

From All Hip Hop
The rap star defeated three legal actions brought against him by Cory “Ghost” Holland. In 2021, Holland filed a billion-dollar lawsuit against 50 Cent, Courtney Kemp, Starz and Lionsgate, asserting that Power unlawfully reflected his life without consent.
The Honorable Judge Analisa Torres sided with 50 and dismissed the claims in each case. In the first case, it was decided that the character “Ghost” in the show Power did not directly refer to Holland, as required for a defamation claim.
Despite similarities in family structure, the court found these to be mere coincidences. In the second lawsuit, Holland accused 50 Cent of sending goons to harass and threaten him.
He said 50 Cent showed up in his neighborhood with an entourage in a fleet of vans and SUVs, who went around the area looking for a man named “Ghost.”

In another incident, people associated with the rapper played a threatening song near his house, which Holland felt was an attempt to send a clear message to him.
The legal battle took a treacherous turn when Holland threatened violence against 50 Cent and his legal team.
The negligent supervision claim against Lionsgate and Starz was booted as Holland failed to demonstrate a duty of care owed to him by the companies. The cases have been closed and judgment has been entered in favor of 50 Cent.
The legal battle has ended, with 50 Cent prevailing against all of the claims brought against him by Cory “Ghost” Holland.

Festival Under Attack After Patti Labelle ‘Struggles’ and Gasps for Water During Performance

The good people of Sacramento, California, were thrilled to see R&B legend Patti LaBelle take center stage at their annual state fair. The singing icon, who turned 80 years old earlier this year, was set to headline the Toyota Concert Series at the 2024 California State Fair on Saturday, July 20.
Despite extensive promotion and marketing efforts to draw fans to the Golden 1 Stage, no one prepared for the scorching weather to be a challenge to their special musical guest.

The high temperature of the day peaked at 103 degrees, and it was still 88 degrees by the time the veteran singer took the stage for the 8 p.m. showtime.
Like the consummate professional she is, LaBelle pushed through. However, during one of her most iconic songs, she became noticeably parched. A TikTok video captures the moment when LaBelle with her voice scratchy and strained, pleaded for “water” in the middle of singing “Somebody Loves You Baby.”

Audience members expressed immediate concern. One person yelled, “Lord Jesus.” Another person said, “You about to go viral.”
Eventually, someone asked, “Is she OK?” and another voice acknowledged the intense heat, saying, “It is hella hot out here.”

As the clip circulated on social media, outrage grew among fans who criticized the production team for not ensuring the Grammy-winning vocalist had everything she needed, particularly water, given the extreme heat and the demanding nature of her performance.

“Why didn’t they have Patti LaBelle water,” one X user asked. Another quipped, “My people are so unserious about everything. Auntie up there with a desert throat and sis talking about ‘it is a lil hot out here.’”
Expressing distress and helplessness, one person posted a Sponge Bob Square Pants Gif with the caption, “Auntie Pattie omg.”

A fourth fan highlighted the singer’s health, writing, “They know Auntie Patti is a diabetic. Having her in SUMMER heat without proper hydration is disrespectful.”
Throughout her hours-long performance, LaBelle gave it her all. Dressed in a white, green, black, and blue polka dot cotton poncho, she bopped across the stage, delivering a memorable show.
In another clip, just before singing “If You Asked Me To,” she was presented with a large bouquet of roses and teased the crowd about Celine Dion, who covered the song, saying, “Don’t get it twisted, I did it first.”

By the time she performed her hit single “Lady Marmalade,” LaBelle had changed into an all-yellow suit and a blunt cut bob wig.
Despite the frog in her throat, fans noted that it did not interfere with the overall concert. LaBelle, ever the professional, continued to deliver a flawless performance.

“Multi-Grammy award-winner Patti LaBelle had a coughing spell during her Saturday night performance at the California State Fair,” one fan wrote on Facebook. “But the 80-year-old singer didn’t let it stop her from delivering a powerful and memorable set featuring her hit songs ‘If Only You Knew,’ ‘On My Own,’ ‘Lady Marmalade,’ and ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow.’”
After turning 80, LaBelle shows no sign of slowing down. In August, she is booked at the Primm Valley Casino Resorts for one night only ( Aug. 10) and another show at the Celebrity Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona, (Aug. 11).

September is even more busy with her touring from Sept. 7 to 12, stopping at smaller towns like the Atlanta suburb of Mableton, Georgia, and Biloxi, Mississippi.

Chris Brown Reunites with Kehlani After Mocking Her 2016 Suicide Attempt

*Chris Brown recently reunited with singer Kehlani after he previously mocked her suicide attempt.
In case you missed it, back in 2016, Kehlani attempted to take her own life and Brown called the move nothing more than a ploy “for sympathy.”
“There is no attempting suicide,” he tweeted at the time. “Stop flexing for the gram. Doing s–t for sympathy so them comments under your pics don’t look so bad.”

Brown’s tweet came after Kehlani was hospitalized and placed on psychiatric hold following her suicide attempt.
“Today I wanted to leave this earth,” Kehlani wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post. “Being completely selfish for once. Never thought I’d get to such a low point.”
Page Six reports that on Sunday, Brown posted a new picture of himself with the songstress — who uses she/they pronouns — on his Instagram Story. “Twin ❤️ @kehlani,” he captioned the image.
According to reports, Kehlani’s suicide attempt came when rumors surfaced in 2016 that she cheated on NBA star Kyrie Irving with musician PartyNextDoor. At the time, she posted an image from the hospital with an IV in their arm.

“I’ll be the BIGGEST PIECE OF 💩. But ima ride for my Homies regardless. KYRIE is probably one of the only good guys left. IDGAF!!!” said Brown back in 2016.
Fans had mixed reactions to Brown and Kehlani’s recent reunion.

“Kehlani went out of their way to remove Tory Lanez off a song after the incident with Megan, but now they all cozied up to Cocaine Fisticuffs Brown?” tweeted one user.
“Kehlani hanging out with Chris brown genuinely feels like the biggest f–king slap to the face,” added another.
“kehlani spends so much time talking about advocating for human and womens rights to go be playing house with chris brown is sooooooo…… wake up to yourself what the fk,” a third person wrote.

Michelle Obama Sends Heartfelt Birthday Wishes to Barack Obama on Instagram
*On Sunday, August 4, former First Lady Michelle Obama publicly celebrated her husband, Barack Obama‘s, 63rd birthday with a heartfelt message on Instagram. The post, filled with warmth and admiration, was a touching tribute to the former President.
“Happy birthday to the love of my life, @BarackObama! Here’s to weathering all of life’s storms and moving mountains together. ❤️,” Michelle, 60, wrote, accompanying the caption with a playful photo of the couple attempting to push a massive rock at an undisclosed location, reports Page Six.

The love and affection shared between the pair were clear to see, and their bond was further celebrated by various celebrities in the comments section.
Notable figures such as Cynthia Bailey from “Real Housewives of Atlanta” and comedian Chelsea Handler expressed their admiration and birthday wishes. “Happy Birthday President Obama!!!🎉🎉🎉,” exclaimed Bailey. Handler added, “Best couple ever.”

Barack and Michelle Obama have a storied relationship that began at a Chicago law firm where they met. They tied the knot in October 1992, and together they have two daughters, Malia, 26, and Sasha, 23.
Though they now seem to enjoy a strong and supportive partnership, Michelle admitted in a panel discussion last December that their journey had not always been smooth. She candidly revealed that during the first decade of their marriage, she struggled with resentment while trying to manage the demands of parenting and her career.

“There were 10 years where I couldn’t stand my husband,” she admitted, attributing her feelings to the uneven distribution of responsibilities at home.
“Marriage isn’t 50/50 — ever. There’s sometimes I’m 70, he’s 30,” admitted Michelle. Despite the challenging years, she emphasized the importance of weathering tough times together, ultimately valuing the strength and longevity of their three-decade-long marriage. “I would take 10 bad years over 30,” she concluded.

Michelle’s Instagram post not only celebrated Barack’s birthday but also highlighted the enduring love and partnership that has seen them through numerous personal and public challenges. As they continue to inspire many with their relationship, it’s evident that their bond is stronger than ever.

Idris Elba Receives Green Light To Build Film Studio In Zanzibar: “Zollywood”

Move over Nollywood as the Africa’s only thriving film market that because Idris Elba has been granted land in Zanzibar to establish a film studio, as reported by the BBC.
Okay Hollywood is in Nigeria and that’s the world’s third largest film market after Hollywood and Bollywood in India.

The UK actor and DJ best known for roles in The Wire and Luthor, received approval to contribute to the burgeoning film industry in the Tanzanian archipelago. Zanzibar’s investment minister, Shariff Ali Shariff, mentioned at the Zanzibar International Film Festival that the studio could rival those in “Hollywood, Nollywood, or Bollywood” and might be dubbed “Zollywood.”
Zollywood. That sounds fun but feels a long way from competing with established film hubs around the world.

Get this, Elba, who grew up in East London and has familial ties to Sierra Leone and Ghana, has previously expressed his ambition to help develop the film industry in Africa. According to a spokesperson for the president of Zanzibar, “If successful, the project will help not only Tanzania but also eastern and central Africa.”

Back in February 2023, Elba discussed his plans for a film studio in Ghana, saying: “Currently, we call it West African Studios, but that’s a working title. We’ve been working on this for three or four years to raise a plan that puts a facility at the centre of African filmmaking.”
We’re all for bringing commerce to the continent. Somebody has to plant more money trees so why not Idris.

Tiffany Haddish Says She Used to Sell ‘Dirty Panties’ Online and Claim They Were Halle Berry’s: ‘I Would Make $300’
Tiffany Haddish had an interesting way of making some money before she was famous.
During an appearance on Nick Cannon's We Playin' Spades podcast on Monday, July 29, Haddish, 44, admitted she'd get some extra cash by pretending to sell Halle Berry's underwear online.

During the Spades game, which saw Haddish and her teammate Dionne play against Cannon, 43, and comedian Courtney Bee, host Cannon joked of the next round, "If we win, y'all gotta leave your drawers on the clothing line."
"I'll mail them in like I used to back in the day when I was struggling for money. I used to sell my panties," the Girls Trip actress said.
"I would say my name was Rosalinda and I was a housekeeper for Halle Berry and I have some of her dirty panties if anybody wants to buy some," Haddish went on.

"And I would make $300," she said, adding that, "It was literally on Craigslist."
Haddish previously mentioned Berry, 57, in an interview with Vanity Fair back in 2017, saying people would compare her to the actress in 1995's Losing Isaiah, in which Berry plays a drug addict.
"When I was young, people used to be like ‘You look just like Halle Berry—out of Losing Isaiah," she recalled at the time.
“I don’t care; she was still beautiful in that movie! And I used to use her name to get in clubs. I used to be like, ‘Halle Berry’s my auntie,' ” Haddish continued, adding that it worked, "Every single time."
Haddish has opened up about her life pre-fame and her time as a struggling stand-up comic on multiple occasions.

In a 2018 interview with Vanity Fair, she said Kevin Hart, 45, had previously lent her money while she was homeless and living out of her car.
At the time, the duo were performing together in a sketch comedy show called Comedy Playground. After realizing her living situation, Hart gave Haddish $300 to get a motel room and suggested she write down her goals and start working towards achieving them.

The day after writing her list, she was offered an apartment. “I go look at it, and it’s like the most raggediest apartment you could ever imagine, it was just nasty and disgusting, roaches everywhere, cigarette stains in the carpet, the walls are all yellow from whatever, whoever was living there before smoking so much,” Haddish, who said Hart has refused to take back his $300, recalled at the time.
“It was just disgusting. The stove was full of roaches and the refrigerator was broken. It was all bad. The guy was like, ‘It’s $550 a month,’ and I was like, ‘It’s perfect! I’ll take it!’” she added.

During an appearance on an episode of SiriusXM’s This Life of Mine with James Corden in April, Haddish said she still had the apartment in question.
"I still have that place. I still have it. I had to fix it up myself and I still got it," she told Corden.
