#MAGFAB: First Lady Jill Biden Covers VOGUE’s August Issue!

Following the presidential debate on June 27, Dr. Jill Biden, the first lady and Vogue’s cover subject this month, has fiercely defended her husband and stood by him—as she’s always done. Reached by phone on June 30 at Camp David, where the Biden family had gathered for the weekend, she told Vogue that they “will not let those 90 minutes define the four years he’s been president. We will continue to fight.” President Biden, she added, “will always do what’s best for the country.” Whatever happens in the weeks and months between now and November, it is Dr. Biden who will remain the president’s closest confidant and advocate.
In Vogue’s August issue, the first lady talks to Maya Singer about the most pressing issues in this election—the economy, reproductive rights, and the state of democracy itself. “We will decide our future,” she says of women voters, perhaps the most critical constituency this fall.

Vogue’s August 2024 issue is available on newsstands nationwide on July 16th.

#RHOA: Former star Sheree Whitfield feuding with newcomer Brittany Eady, Here’s what we know......
Sheree Whitfield may be done with The Real Housewives of Atlanta, but she’s not done with the drama.
The original cast member is seemingly caught up in a feud with newcomer Brittany Eady.
It all started when Whitfield, who is not returning for Season 16, spoke to TMZ about Kenya Moore’s exit and what it means for the show’s future.

In the interview, Whitfield revealed that it’s “hard” to watch the series “slowly sink.”
After the tepid response to RHOA Season 15, producers opted to revamp the show for Season 16 by bringing back Porsha Williams alongside Moore, Drew Sidora, Shamea Morton Mwangi, and new stars Eady, Kelli Ferrell, and Angela Oakley.

That has proven to be a headache for producers after the drama between Eady and Moore got so heated that the latter walked away from the show.

MusicNews: Khalid to Return With Third Studio Album ‘Sincere’

Over five years after releasing his sophomore album Free Spirit, Khalid is gearing up to drop his third studio LP. The project is called Sincere and is scheduled for release on August 2.
The singer has used his past two albums to explore feelings of youth and ambition, themes that directly reflected his own life as he released his debut album American Teen when he was just 19 years old.

“Sincere is a combination of my life experiences, it takes inspiration from conversations that I have had with my fans, supporters, and the people that love me,” Khalid said. “When I listen back to this project, I hear a sound that’s so unique and represents me at my best. This album is me at 26, continuing to evolve with the knowledge that I have garnered throughout the years.”

Khalid’s third album Sincere arrives on August 2.

#HipHopNews: Shannon Sharpe Apologizes To Megan Thee Stallion For Insensitive "Quarter To Three" Joke
Megan Thee Stallion joined Shannon Sharpe for the “Club Shay Shay” podcast on Monday (July 1). The Houston phenomenon sat down with the former NFL star to discuss her new album, paying for features and wanting to collaborate with Billie Eilish, among other topics. During their conversation, she received a much-deserved apology.

“I always wanted to sit down and talk with you, but I didn’t know if that was going to be possible [after my comments],” Sharpe stated while referencing previous remarks he made on “Nightcap” in November 2023. He continued, “I said it in jest, but I believe the joke would’ve been just as funny had I left you out of it. So, for any unwanted attention, harm, shame or embarrassment that I caused you or your family, I want to say, as a man, as I sit here before you, I apologize.”

Megan responded, “I appreciate that.” The pair later toasted the occasion with a shot of Le Portier, Sharpe’s luxury cognac.
In Sharpe‘s appearance on “Nightcap,” co-host Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson asked him whether he’d enter a relationship with the “HISS” artist. He responded, “I’d have her stretched out like quarter to three.”

The former sports commentator continued, “I do it three ways, Ocho: deep, hard and continuously. That’s all I got, Ocho. You better stop playing. I’d have her opening up like saloon doors… You know my walk [is] a little off right now, but I still do something a little here and there.”

Sharpe’s statements have landed him in hot water on numerous occasions. For instance, during a conversation with Saweetie, he referred to the rapper as “the one that used to date Quavo.” She hit back by sharing her long list of accomplishments, including partnering with MAC Cosmetics and McDonald’s.
Elsewhere, in his sit-down with Megan, the pair spoke about her upcoming tequila brand and how Beyoncé inspired it. “As much as I used to enjoy cognac, and I promoted a lot of people’s liquor brands, she was like, ‘The next time I see you, you better have your own alcoholic beverage.’ I was like, ‘You know what? You’re right, queen. I am gon’ have my own s**t,’” the rap star explained.

Mary J. Blige’s Sold-Out Guiseppe Zanotti Boot Restocked

Mary J. Blige announces her sold-out Guiseppe Zanotti collaboration is back in stock.
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday (June 26), the Queen of Hip-Hop soul revealed the over-the-knee, rose gold boot can be purchased by fans who missed out on the first drop that cleared shelves in one day.

“Seeing the response to the first drop of my boots with Giuseppe Zanotti really blew me away,” detailed the New York native to ESSENCE Magazine. “For years, my fans have asked me about making boots and you all showed up and showed out. Because of how quickly you sold them out, we had to come back with more.”

In May, the boot debuted at $1,295.00 and remains the same price. As of Thursday morning, it remains available on the Guiseppe Zanotti website. Crafted in Italy, the boots have a leather sole featuring the logo and a 105 mm heel height.
“Born from the collaboration between iconic Italian designer, Giuseppe Zanotti, and multihyphenate award-winning artist, Mary J. Blige, The Mary Boot encapsulates the unique and celebrated styles of both talents,” details the website.

“Statement boots have long been associated as a signature of Mary’s style and through this collaboration, using striking and innovative design, fine materials, and attention to detail, the two have come together to make the Must-Have style of the season.”
The high-end heels may be the first of many shoes to come from the My Life performer. In January, the 53-year-old shared plans to launch a signature boot line.

“It’s a thing,” detailed the Grammy-winning musician. “We ain’t even going to production yet … it’s coming in 2 years or something, not right now [laughs] … okay one year… I’m working it out.”

Nelly Surprises Ashanti With A Baby Shower Amid ‘Together Again’ Tour

In between tour dates, Nelly found time to surprise his wife, Ashanti, with a baby shower while they await the arrival of their first child together.
The surprise gathering took place at Dolce & Gabbana’s children’s boutique in New York City. Footage shared by attendees show the couple arriving in the elevator, and the group yelling, “Surprise!” as the “Baby” singer covered her mouth in shock.

Aligning with the yellow and white theme, Ashanti rocked a two-piece ensemble that had her baby bump on full display while her man rocked an all-black look.
Among the guests were Simone Smith, Lloyd, and Fat Joe, as well as other family and friends.

“I thought I was coming to a photoshoot,” Ashanti recalled when speaking on the surprise. “I’m in shock! I was like ‘wait, where’s the hairstylist?’ We did a whole fitting last night!”
Lloyd joked, “You were late to your own baby shower, so let’s hope the baby comes on time.”

During the lavish affair, Nelly shared how they rekindled their romance from his perspective and confirmed that it all began at Fat Joe and Ja Rule’s VERZUZ in September 2021
He shared how it was Ashanti’s mom who spotted him first. “She sees a ghost,” said the St. Louis native. “She’s on the phone, doing her thing, [freezes] and said, ‘Oh hell no.'”

The “Ride Wit Me” rapper continued, “I didn’t want to make [Ashanti] uncomfortable. I felt like it was tension in the building. I said, ‘let me break the ice.'” Teasing, “Everyone saw me make a beeline [towards her], but they didn’t see that nice rub on my back,” as guests burst into laughter.
Ashanti’s dad opened up about how Nelly asked for his blessing before proposing to Ashanti. “We had a little discussion about him wanting to marry her. For me, it’s very special for a man in this era, for a man to ask for someone’s hand, [in marriage], especially your daughter. I was very impressed with the fact that he asked me. I want to bless you guys and we welcome you with open arms.”

Towards the end of the party, the rapper thanked “all parties involved,” and shared that nothing else matters “as long as [Ashanti’s] smiling and happy.”

Neither Ashanti nor Nelly has publicized the gender or name of their child, but it was confirmed that they secretly jumped the broom in December of 2023.
Of her baby, the singer did tell Entertainment Tonight that she’s “excited about seeing this little human version of myself and the person that I love so much be here,” adding, “I’m really looking forward to having an extension of both of us, be with us, and watching that spirit grow. It’s an amazing thing.”

'Wicked' Flies Into Theaters Early, Avoids Disney's 'Moana 2'
The expected anticipation for the film adaptation of Broadway's beloved "Wicked" just got a little more exciting. Universal Pictures announced that "Wicked: Part One" will now soar into theaters on November 22, a full five days earlier than its previously scheduled release on November 27, right before Thanksgiving. This strategic move allows the film to dodge direct competition with Disney's "Moana 2", which remains slated for a November 27 release.

Director Jon M. Chu, known for his work on "Crazy Rich Asians" and "In the Heights", shared the exciting news on X (formerly known as Twitter), writing, "5. DAYS. EARLIER!!!! Let's goooo!! #WickedMovie #Nov22." The decision not only averts a head-to-head clash with "Moana 2" but also gives "Wicked" the advantage to preemptively capture the holiday audience's attention before Thanksgiving festivities begin.

However, "Wicked" will still face competition from another heavy-hitting sequel, "Gladiator 2", also set to release on the same day. Although both films cater to different demographics, there is a shared anticipation in how they will perform at the box office.
The upcoming film adaptation features pop superstar Ariana Grande as Glinda, the Good Witch, and acclaimed actress Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West. The stellar cast also includes Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero, Michelle Yeoh as the headmistress Madame Morrible, Ethan Slater as Boq, Bowen Yang as Pfannee, Marissa Bode as Nessarose, and Jeff Goldblum as the Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Based on the Broadway sensation, which itself stems from Gregory Maguire's 1995 novel "Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West", the film adaptation promises to delve into the prequel story of "The Wizard of Oz", exploring the unexpected friendship and eventual rivalry between Glinda and Elphaba while they navigate life at Shiz University.

The announcement resonated deeply with fans, who have been eagerly awaiting the film’s arrival for years. "So excited. I've just been so proud of it, and it's gonna reach a whole other audience," remarked Idina Menzel, the original Elphaba on Broadway, echoing the sentiments of many theater enthusiasts.

As the anticipation builds for this magical journey, Universal Pictures also released another tantalizing trailer, featuring snippets of fan-favorite songs "Popular" and "Defying Gravity". Fans got even more enthusiastic when Menzel and Erivo appeared together at the 2024 Tony Awards, interacting in a heartfelt manner that highlighted their shared passion for the project.
The holiday season of 2024 just became even more enchanting, thanks to "Wicked". With its rescheduled release, fans can now look forward to an earlier and magical kickoff to their Thanksgiving festivities. "Wicked: Part Two" is set to follow a year later, releasing on November 26, 2025.

Prince Harry will be receiving the Pat Tillman Award at the upcoming 2024 ESPY Awards, but Pat Tillman‘s mother is not happy about it.

The award is given to “a person with a strong connection to sports who has served others in a way that echoes the legacy of the former NFL player and U.S. Army Ranger, Pat Tillman.”

For those who don’t know, Pat Tillman was a former NFL player who enlisted in the military after 9/11. He died in 2004 at the age of 27 in Afghanistan.
Harry served 10 years in the British Armed Forces, including two tours of duty in Afghanistan. He went on to become the founder of the successful Invictus Games Foundation, which is an international platform to support wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women – both active duty and veterans – who are navigating both physical and invisible injuries.

“I am shocked as to why they would select such a controversial and divisive individual to receive the award,” Mary Tillman told Daily Mail. “There are recipients that are far more fitting. There are individuals working in the veteran community that are doing tremendous things to assist veterans. These individuals do not have the money, resources, connections or privilege that Prince Harry has. I feel that those types of individuals should be recognized.”

ESPN has reacted to the backlash.
The network said, “ESPN, with the support of the Tillman Foundation, is honoring Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, specifically for the work of The Invictus Games Foundation as it celebrates its 10th year promoting healing through the power of sport for military service members and veterans around the world. While we understand not everyone will agree with all honorees selected for any award, the Invictus Games Foundation does incredible work, and ESPN believes this is a cause worth celebrating.”

Michael Jordan’s Ex-Wife Juanita Breaks Silence on Car-Jacking Incident Reports: “Security Would Absolutely Be Strapped”

In an interview in 1992, Michael Jordan said he wanted to step back from his public life. His Airness has avoided the glitz and glamour since his retirement and only makes a handful of appearances. Yet, the media coverage is never short of controversy not only surrounding MJ but his family too. Whether it is the DPOY argument, Marcus’ current relationship status, or a recent carjacking incident involving Juanita. However, Michael Jordan’s ex-wife has set the record straight regarding the false media reports. Her daughter also called the reports out.

On her Instagram, Juanita Vanoy uploaded 2 posts to clarify the rumors about the incident. Firstly, she pointed out that she doesn’t live in Chicago now nor drive a Rolls Royce. She explained she didn’t own any Rolls Royce and if she did, it would not be her driving. She would have a driver and security and “Said driver and security would absolutely be strapped-TRUST!”

Juanita had advice for people, as she has been in the limelight for decades now. “1. Believe NONE of what you read. 2. Believe NONE of what you hear. 3. Believe only HALF of what you see.” The caption of the post was “WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO RESPONSIBLE MEDIA COVERAGE? AN

Earlier, it was reported on X by Amy Jacobson of Chicago’s Morning Answer, “Juanita Jordan, Michael Jordan’s ex wife was carjacked outside her home in Chicago.” Further, she added that the white Rolls Royce, g*n, wallet, and keys were stolen from Juanita. Even suggesting that 2 African American males were the suspects and were being sought by police. Not just Juanita, but her daughter too condemned the reporting.

“560theanswer, do better!! Since Amy doesn’t have a page of her own for me to directly address her,” said Jasmine Jordan. The youngest child of Juanita and Michael Jordan also explained why the reports were untrue. She said that she was by her mother’s side and there was no carjacking incident on her Instagram story, which was later posted by Juanita.

She reiterated her mother’s point, further stating, “Play with someone else! GTFOH.” Although Juanita provided clarification, her ex-husband has been quiet about this controversy. Juanita later shared the same on her page, writing, “When your daughter don’t play ‘bout you!!”
The month of June has its highs and lows for the Jordans. While it was Juanita’s birthday month, MJ and his DPOY controversy surrounded the internet from the beginning of the month.

Tom Haberstroh for Yahoo Sports questioned the stats of 1987-88  when Michael Jordan was named Defensive Player of the Year. Haberstroh implied that the numbers were fabricated to support MJ. The 6x NBA champion seemingly has no interest in speaking about the allegation of his DPOY. On the contrary, his ex-wife Juanita made sure to provide the current context about the accident, which was falsely reported.

JoJo Siwa Sets Release Date for Debut EP ‘Guilty Pleasure’

JoJo Siwa was only just getting started with “Karma.” The dancer and singer has announced that her debut EP, Guilty Pleasure, will arrive on July 12.
The five-track project will continue to expand on Siwa’s creative evolution that began with “Karma,” her comeback single marking her official departure from the realm of child stardom on which she built her career. The single will appear on Guilty Pleasure alongside the previously teased releases “Choose UR Fighter” and “Guilty Pleasure.”

Siwa premiered “Guilty Pleasure” during a recent appearance at Trixie Mattel’s New York City Pride event in Central Park. While her audience wasn’t completely receptive to her live performance, the reality star was thrilled to announce the release date for Guilty Pleasure while on stage. The official announcement of the release revealed that the music video for the title track will premiere alongside its release later this month.

“Choose UR Fighter” was first teased at the end of May, when Siwa took to social media to reflect on the mixed reactions to “Karma” and look ahead at what she has coming next. “For the last few weeks, the world has been fucking brutal,” she said at the time. “They’ve been talking so much shit… but I don’t give a fuck. She also shared three EPs — D.R.E.A.M. The Music (2018), Celebrate (2019), and JoJo’s Rockin’ Christmas (2020) — via Republic Records.

Now 21 years old, Siwa is currently signed with Columbia Records.

Hunter Biden sues Fox News over ‘mock trial’ miniseries
Hunter Biden has sued Fox News and its parent corporation, accusing the right-wing network of smearing him and unlawfully publishing his explicit images without his consent in a 2022 miniseries about his legal troubles.
In the lawsuit, filed Sunday in New York state court, the president’s sonaccuses Fox News of unjust enrichment, intentionally inflicting emotional distress, and violating New York civil rights laws. The lawsuit makes good on Hunter Biden’s threat he made in April that he would take the network to court if it didn’t immediately issue retractions and corrections.

The miniseries, “The Trial of Hunter Biden,” was a six-part offering on the Fox Nation digital streaming network, and was also promoted on Fox News, the cable TV channel. It featured a dramatized “mock trial” about Hunter Biden’s overseas financial dealings that led in part to his federal tax indictment and that also fueled House Republicans’ struggling impeachment inquiry into his father.

Fox News took down the miniseries in late April, one day after Hunter Biden threatened to file a lawsuit. But according to the lawsuit, promotional materials for the miniseries are still on some Fox News-linked social media pages, and the miniseries episodes are still circulating “online and in the public domain.”

A Fox News spokesperson claimed the lawsuit was meritless and “entirely politically motivated,” and said the network looks forward to “vindicating our rights in court.”
“The core complaint stems from a 2022 streaming program that Mr. Biden did not complain about until sending a letter in late April 2024,” the spokesperson said in a statement. “The program was removed within days of the letter, in an abundance of caution, but Hunter Biden is a public figure who has been the subject of multiple investigations and is now a convicted felon. Consistent with the First Amendment, Fox News has accurately covered the newsworthy events of Mr. Biden’s own making.”

The new lawsuit claims Fox News “targeted Mr. (Hunter) Biden in an effort to harass, annoy, alarm, and humiliate him, and tarnish his reputation.” President Joe Biden’s son is seeking an unspecified amount of punitive damages, as well as any profits that Fox reaped from the miniseries, and other corrective measures.

“The miniseries is fictionalized; it is not a news event. It was made for the purpose of trade and advertising, and merely exploits Mr. Biden’s name, image, and likeness for Fox’s commercial benefit,” Hunter Biden’s lawyers wrote in the lawsuit.
Hunter Biden’s team said in the lawsuit that without his consent, Fox News “unlawfully published numerous intimate images (both still and video) of Mr. Biden depicting him in the nude, depicting an unclothed or exposed intimate part of him, as well as engaged in sex acts.” The right-wing network said these images originated form Hunter Biden’s infamous laptop – data from which was leaked by allies for former President Donald Trump in 2020.

The president’s son was convicted at a trial last month on federal gun charges, and faces a second trial this fall on alleged tax crimes. However, he hasn’t been charged in connection with the bribery and foreign lobbying allegations that were at the center of Fox’s “mock trial” series.
