#MAGFAB: Maluma is the Cover Star for ALLURE’s July Edition!

In his ALLURE cover story, Maluma opens up about having a more grounded persona and how his inner “dirty boy” has been tamed – just a bit. He also shares why he decided to move to Turks and Caicos, discusses his dedicated female fanbase loving his “dirty boy’” character, and opens up about how fatherhood has changed him. He shares “Everything changed…You want to live forever for your kids. I want to make her proud.”
On becoming a father: “Everything changed. And I love it. Now, I wake up every day with the desire to conquer the world. I know I have to fucking kill it. For Paris, nothing is impossible. You have to lead by example. I go to bed every night that I can at 9 and wake up at 5:30 to hit the gym because I want to be healthy. You want to live forever for your kids. I want to make her proud.”

On moving to Turks and Caicos: “This is where I come to disappear. Here, I am just Juan Luis. All my friends here are local. The captain of the boat, [the people] in the coffee shop. That’s my people here.”

On becoming more grounded and mature: “It’s still the same essence, but more mature I would say, and more chill. I’m just vibing. I’m having fun being with my family, but I’m also having fun being onstage. I’m doing things that I love, and finally, I feel like I’m on the right path. It’s difficult to find that balance, but I’m there. I’m there and working for it.”

On why he felt disconnected from his fans for a time after trying to ‘create’ a new performance character: “I feel like I got disconnected for a couple of months from my fan base because I was trying to build a new character for them. But they were like, ‘No, you don’t need to build any character. We love when you are you.’ I was overthinking too much. Now I just need to do what my heart tells me to do.”

The issue is on newsstands now!

#RHOA: Kenya Moore Says ‘I’m Not Going Anywhere, I’m Here To Stay’ Amid Reported Exit From ‘RHOA’
Kenya Moore is adamant that she’s “here to stay.” The former beauty queen took to Instagram Live to converse with supporters and, in a surprising twist, reassured her followers that she isn’t going anywhere amid rumors of her exit from The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

Kenya Moore, 53, stated, “We’re definitely going to stay positive. There’s so many positive things happening. I can’t ever speak on things until they’re coming out. Trust me, there will be so much more of me. I’m not going anywhere; I’m here to stay.”

On live, Kenya Moore also urged her followers to visit her newly opened hair spa, which had garnered significant media attention after an incident where she allegedly showcased explicit photos of co-star Brit Eady during the spa’s grand opening event.

We reported that Kenya Moore left the series due to Bravo’s handling of safety and security concerns after Brit Eady, 36, allegedly made threats involving a gun. Both ladies have denied the allegations against them.
While Kenya Moore insists she’s not going anywhere, Brit Eady recently hosted an all-cast event—one that Kenya notably did not attend.

#MusicNews: The Shindellas Tap Q Parker for ‘Think of Me Too’: Stream

Vocal trio The Shindellas have teamed up with Q Parker (formerly of 112) for their new track “Think of Me Too.” It’s a remix of their endearing song “Think of Me” from their sophomore album, Shindo.
On “Think of Me Too,” Q Parker faithfully sings the original second verse with minor word changes to fit his perspective on the devotional anthem.
“People gon’ try and make you doubt your feelings / People gon try and say this love won’t last /  Let ‘em talk we both know we got the real thing / Promise I’ll be your man for life / ‘Cause forever you are my girl,” he croons.

While “Think of Me” stands strong in its own merits, “Think of Me Too” elevates the ballad to new heights.
As noted above, the original version of “Think of Me” appears on The Shindellas’ second album, Shindo. The album was written and produced by Louis York (Claude Kelly and Chuck Harmony).

Speaking on “Think of Me,” Stacy of The Shindellas told Rated R&B, “[It was] necessary to hear a classic R&B ballad, classic modulation, [and] a classic love song. We wanted to have that [as] a part of the album [and] wanted that feeling.”
Released Oct. 20, 2023, via Weirdo Workshop/Thirty Tigers, Shindo also included The Shindellas’ first top 10 Billboard hit, “Last Night Was Good for My Soul,” as well as the other singles “Juicy” and “Ooh La La.”

Shindo was ranked No. 9 on Rated R&B’s 25 Best R&B Albums of 2023 list.

#HipHopNews: Cardi B Denies Being Homophobic After Firing Back At Nick Minaj Stan Who Spat On Her Waxwork
Cardi B faced accusations she’s homophobic after she fired back at a Nicki Minaj stan trolling her on social media.
Cardi B was accused of being homophobic after she responded to a troll who appeared to spit on a waxwork of her at a museum.
On Tuesday evening (July 23), the “Wanna Be” hitmaker responded to a social media user who shared a video of the spitting incident alongside a screenshot showing the troll following Cardi B on Instagram. “for the Internet: vs. real life:” they captioned the post.
In the video, the troll stands next to a waxwork of Cardi B. “They don’t have you in a dark shadow for no reason, b####. Nobody likes you,” they said before hawking and fake spitting on the mannequin.

Cardi B quote-tweeted the post, replying with, “But when I said be a BOY.”
However, her comment didn’t go down well with all her fans, including one who accused her of being homophobic.
“You are becoming so comfortable being homophobic and it’s disgusting,” they wrote.
Cardi B denied the accusation, claiming she wouldn’t condone that behavior from anybody, gay or otherwise.

“Stop wit the fake homophobia b#######,” she replied. “Im not homophobic I don’t care wtf you like to f### and suck and eat on but be a f##### BOY you a grown ass man spitting at a wax figure of me.I wouldn’t allow no straight man buck on me ever ! If you suck dick like me you not buckin on me neither and that’s just that!”

The person who posted the spitting video shared another photo alongside a waxwork of Nicki Minaj.
“Be a Mother Be a Wife,” they fired back. “Worried about me being a boy When your Husband is Messing with Ladies With Sticks  @NICKIMINAJ Nicki Is Better #Barbz @BarbzFeedx.”

Cardi B’s “Be a boy” remark came from a Spaces earlier this month when the rapper unleashed on fans asking about pregnancy rumors.

Ice Spice Accused Of $20K Nicki Minaj-Inspired Wigs Scam—But Her Camp Denies She’s Involved
Ice Spice and her team are saying one thing while a business owner is alleging another. Tap in to find out what really happened in this wigged-out incident.
Ice Spice is being dragged by a business owner for allegedly ordering dozens of Nicki Minaj-inspired wigs, only to back out at the last minute without paying a dime.

For context, a talent management rep from Ice Spice’s team has since responded, revealing that Ice Spice reportedly has nothing to do with this transaction. In fact, it was one of her hairstylists that contacted the vendor and didn’t go through with the order in a “timely” manner.
No matter the case, Thee Bella Brand has come forward with some serious claims against the rapper and her team, alleging they engaged in terrible business practices throughout the debacle before abruptly ditching the order. The drama began to unfold when the business owner shared her side of the story on Instagram in a lengthy post revealing a series of events that has left the wig technician allegedly out of thousands of dollars.

“As a business owner, you have to try to turn something into nothing all of the time!” Thee Bella Brand started off in the extensive post caption. “So I was supposed to do Ice Spice’s tour and they sent me a wig order (19) and then they called me again to add more (5) and then when it was time to pay, they didn’t have the budget.”

Despite having worked together for years, this time things took a sour turn, the business owner admitted.
“That was my dumb mistake for thinking since we worked together for years that everything will be OK,” the caption reads. “But unfortunately, I learned my lesson they kept changing the date (4 changes) so she decided to cancel last minute (1 day before the units were ready) after I made a whole bunch of wigs.”

At this point, the business owner recalls how they attempted to resolve the issue in a professional manner, despite the lack of discretion afforded to their business.
“I told her to just take the units, but because we didn’t have time to cut them and color them for her this time around. (She likes the majority of the work to be done for her all of the time). I told her professionally I will never deal with her moving forward,” the caption reads.

But the saga didn’t end there, as the post continued, “They then told me they were going to pay my service fee for making the units to at least be fair.”
After the aforementioned promise was purportedly not honored, the business owner claims the issued a final plea for justice to rectify the situation.

“Things happen, but that is not how you handle someone that respects your business AND ALWAYS comes through for you at the very last minute. LITERALLY!!!!!! Also, you still owe me my wig back because it’s not paid for what’s going on with that??”
The post concluded with a striking note, “You really disappointed me when you asked me to give you the tour units for free? 20k in wigs For no promo at that…… Now, when have you ever known me to do that? Thank you for making us make all of these Nicki Minaj wigs. I’m going to go ahead and not upload the rest of the screenshots since this is supposed to be ‘Princess Diana but it’s really always Queen Onika.’ @dijahslayy DIJAH SLAY!!!”

Nicki Minaj first connected with Ice Spice in 2022 after she praised her breakout hit “Munch (Feelin’ U)” and showed her support on social media. Their admiration for each other blossomed into a collaboration on the remix of Ice Spice’s#### single “Princess Diana,” where they celebrated each other’s artistry and talent. Ice Spice has frequently expressed her admiration for Nicki Minaj, often citing her as a major influence and inspiration in her career.

This is not the first time Ice Spice has made headlines for her alleged shady behavior. In fact, a woman who claims to be the ex-girlfriend of Central Cee has responded to slights she alleges the Y2K! rapper has sent her way following her separation from the “Band For Band” rapper.

Taye Diggs And Meagan Good To Star In Lifetime’s ‘Terry McMillan Presents: Forever’

Meagan Good is returning to the small screen. On the heels of her leading role in Tyler Perry’s Divorce In The Black, she will star and executive produce alongside Taye Diggs in Lifetime‘s Terry McMillan Presents: Forever.
The film will be directed by Charles Murray and is set to premiere on Saturday, August 24, at 8 p.m. ET.

Penned by Bart Baker, Terry McMillan Presents: Forever centers around Johnnie (Diggs) after he returns home after a tour of military service and is surprisingly met with divorce papers. He then shockingly finds himself falling for a local policewoman, Carlie (Good), who pulled him over for speeding. Determined to win her heart, he might first win over her three daughters, and to do that, Johnnie must rid himself of old fears and former regrets to find love and gain family.

Terry McMillan Presents: Forever is the second film under the previously announced Terry McMillan Presents umbrella. The first installment Terry McMillan Presents: Tempted By Love —starring Garcelle Beauvais, Vaughn W. Hebron, Lela Rochon Fuqua and Loretta Devine —premieres on Aug. 17.
Tempted by Love explores the complexities of romance and personal growth in the midst of life’s ebbs and flow. It follows a renowned chef Ava, (Beauvais) who leaves her life in Europe to care for her elderly aunt and falls in love with her attractive, younger driver Luke, (Hebron). The two bond over food, family, and fun, but Ava still has to decide if this is all a recipe for love.

The new slate of films from McMillan will “focus on the love and lives of African American women,” as part of Lifetime’s 40th anniversary.
“As women, we can be messy. We can be complicated. We can be so many things,” said the Waiting To Exhale author in a statement. “Life is never tied up in a bow so it’s thrilling to be back in business with Lifetime, who allows women to tell our own stories in an authentic way.”

Lifetime EVP and head of programming Elaine Frontain Bryant added, “Terry is an American treasure with her ability to capture the female experience in finding love and happiness. We are so excited to partner with her on these new movies that I know will also resonate with our viewers.”

Gilbert Arenas faces backlash for mocking Africans
Gilbert Arenas is under fire for making controversial jokes about Africans following the United States men’s basketball team‘s narrow last-second exhibition victory over South Sudan.
“The males almost lost to some Africans,” Arenas said. “Got d—. We almost lost to the [imitates motion of blowing dart], and the King [LeBron James] had to save us. I know the LeBron haters are mad. We almost lost to the ‘Ah-he, ah-he tribe.’ This is crazy.”
He then brought up Team USA center Joel Embiid, who was born in Cameroon.

“Man, Embiid over there got d— throwing the game for his cousins and s—,” Arenas said. “We weren’t supposed to be losing to air up there. Come on, man, cool runnings. They don’t even have shoes; they get their shoes from America. We got to ship them shoes. They don’t even have basketball rims, dawg. Manute Bol had to walk, what? An hour and a half to go shoot basketball? We were about to lose to people who are shooting on f—– peach baskets in dirt with no shoes.”

Embiid was asked about Arenas’ comments.
“I might be playing for Team USA, but I’m Cameroonian, first and foremost,” Embiid said. “I don’t know exactly what he said, I can’t comment on it, but if it was that negative, it’s just disappointing because you see what African basketball has done for us to be in this position to be able to make some sort of impact. Even in the position I’m in, I still have a lot of impact in the place that I’m from, the whole continent of Africa. That’s never going to stop. Like I said, it’s really unfortunate, especially in the world we live in now. There’s so much negativity.”

Michaela Onyenwere, a Nigerian forward who currently plays for the Chicago Sky in the WNBA, also reacted to Arenas.
“Gilbert Arenas is so ignorant,” Onyenwere posted on X. “Shaking my head.”

Onyenwere has since deleted the post.

Kevin Feige Gives A ‘Blade’ Update, Reveals If He’s Open To Wesley Snipes In MCU

Despite some production challenges on Blade, Kevin Feige affirmed to Blavity’s Shadow and Act that Marvel Studios remains committed to the movie and the character.
Speaking to us for Deadpool & Wolverine press, Feige said, “We are committed to the movie, and we’re so committed to it that we’re not going to make it until it’s right, which has been frustrating for us, and for some fans, because it’s taken a while. We have a writer working on it now. I’ve read half of his new draft, and it’s feeling good so far.”

Mahershala Ali and Mia Goth are the cast members that remain attached to the movie, and Eric Pearson is the current writer. No director is attached at the moment for the film, which is now dated for Nov. 7, 2025.

On if he’d be open to Wesley Snipes returning to the role in some form or playing a version of the character, Feige said, “Wesley’s the greatest. Wesley’s great. Mahershala, who’s the one who came in four, five years ago and said, ‘I want to play it,’ is what this new movie’s about.”
The exec also reflected on his storied career and the full circle moment of working with Hugh Jackman now after initially working with him on the first X-Men movie.

“Working with Hugh Jackman on this movie takes me back to my very early days at Marvel, where I worked with Hugh on the first X-Men movie,” he said. “That movie meant a lot to a lot of people. That’s what the entire X-Men are about, is giving voice to the underdogs, to the people who feel othered. I think that mattered a lot when that first movie came out. For us, when we decide which characters to bring to the screen, there’s almost always that notion of, who can we touch in a way, and excite and exhilarate the way these movies need to, but also on a personal level.”

SpongeBob SquarePants Is Autistic, Actor Tom Kenny Reveals
Your favorite sponge who lives in a pineapple under the sea has had a superpower all along.
Actor Tom Kenny recently shared that SpongeBob SquarePants—a character he's voiced since the Nickelodeon show began in 1999—is autistic and "kind of on the spectrum" as a character.

Tom made to revelation during a Q&A panel at Motor City Comic Con in Detroit earlier this year, recalling a previous interaction he'd had with a fan on the matter.

"It was the first time I'd ever been asked this question," he explained in a video posted by a fan. "A person who was obviously on the spectrum came up to me and said, 'I have a question for you, Tom Kenny. Is SpongeBob autistic? Is SpongeBob himself autistic as a character?'"

"'Yes! Of course!'" Tom recalled telling the fan. "'Of course he is.'"
But Tom didn't stop there, noting, "'You know what? That's his superpower, the same way it's your superpower.'"
And while the 62-year-old's comments on the matter have now gone viral, it's not the first time he's approached the subject.

"I don't know what there is in that show that talks to kids that are on the autism spectrum," he said on Marc Maron's WTF podcast in 2012, via The Independent, "but more than other cartoons—because SpongeBob as a character is a little autistic. Obsessed with his job, very hardworking, gets really really deep into something."

And 25 years after the show premiered on Nickelodeon, fans are still learning new information about their favorite Krusty Krab line cook, including that he's a member of the LGBTQ+ community.

In 2020, the network shared a post in honor of Pride Month and included a photo of SpongeBob alongside transgender actor Michael Cohen, who played Schwoz Schwartz in Henry Danger, and Korra from The Legend of Korra, who is bisexual, writing, "Celebrating #Pride with the LGBTQ+ community and their allies this month and every month."

Rihanna Fans Beg For New Album After She Flashes Her Panties In New Video
Rihanna playfully teased her online devotees by flashing her panties in a new video. However, instead of making fans interested with her fashion choice, the "Umbrella" hitmaker had fans pressuring her to release a new album.
In the clip shared on Instagram on Tuesday, July 23, the 36-year-old could be seen rocking an oversized baby blue button-down shirt that covered her Savage X Fenty bra, a red and brown plaid mini pleated skirt and black Fenty X Puma creeper sneakers.

RiRi completed her look with aviator glasses, silver diamond necklaces and a micro mini Louis Vuitton tote. After striking some poses on the sidewalk, the Barbadian singer lifted up her skirt, showing off her black thong.

"since I clearly won't be achieving my six pack til next summer," the musician-turned-mogul wrote in the caption, "I switched my summer goal to matching my shoes to my panties!"
The post has since been flooded with gushing comments over RiRi's figure. Others, however, didn't seem to focus much on her look as they wanted new music from the billionaire artist.

One person in particular replied, "Now match them panties to the album." Another added, "The albums need to match with the panties too." A third quipped, "So the album is called 'Shoes & Panties,' right?!?!"

Rihanna, who has not launched an album in years, previously poked fun at her long-awaited ninth studio album. "This is probably the longest I've ever taken to create something," she said at the launch party of Rihanna x Fenty Hair in June. "No, I lied, that's R9."

Rihanna later assured fans that she's far from done with music. She elaborated, "I think that music, for me, is a new discovery. I'm rediscovering things. I have been working on the album for so long that I kinda put all that stuff aside and now I'm prepared to go back in the studio. I'm gonna start, give me a second!"

Elon Musk 'Tricked' Into Allowing Trans Daughter's Gender Reassignment

In a recent interview, tech mogul Elon Musk claimed he was deceived into allowing his transgender daughter's medical transition, arguing that she was "killed by the woke mind virus." His comments have sparked widespread debate and further cemented his stance against certain progressive policies.

During a discussion with psychologist and conservative commentator Dr. Jordan Peterson, Musk revealed his grievances over his daughter Vivian's transition - formerly known as Xavier - who underwent gender reassignment in 2022.

"This was really before I had any understanding of what was going on, and we had COVID going on, so there was a lot of confusion, and I was told Xavier might commit suicide if he doesn't [make the change]," the Tesla and SpaceX CEO explained.

Musk, who leads several companies including X (previously known as Twitter), expressed frustration, claiming, "I was essentially tricked into signing documents for one of my older boys," referring to his daughter Vivian. He further criticized those who support such medical interventions for children, describing them as "incredibly evil" and asserting that they should face imprisonment.
The billionaire also discussed the legal framework that has influenced his business decisions, specifically California's AB1955 legislation, known as the SAFETY Act. This law, which prohibits school districts from mandating parental notifications if a child starts using different pronouns, prompted Musk to move the headquarters of SpaceX and X from California to Texas.

He declared, "This is the final straw. Because of this law and the many others that preceded it, attacking both families and companies, SpaceX will now move its HQ from Hawthorne, California to Starbase, Texas."

Offering further reasoning behind his vehement stance, Musk explained that nobody had adequately informed him about the implications of puberty blockers, stating that he was not told that these drugs are "actually just sterilization drugs." Despite expert consensus that puberty blockers do not affect fertility long-term, Musk remains adamant about the harm these treatments could cause.

Vivian, who legally changed her name and renounced any associations with her father in 2022, has distanced herself from Musk, citing irreconcilable differences. "I no longer live with or wish to be related to [my] biological father in any way, shape or form," she stated in court filings. Musk attributes their strained relationship to her progressive schooling in Los Angeles, contributing to his growing "anti-woke sentiments."

Musk's public stance has seen him shift from center-left politics towards right-leaning rhetoric, aligning himself with figures who oppose clean energy and support conservative ideologies. His controversial comments continue to pervade public discussions, often polarizing opinions among the young and old alike.

Chadwick Boseman’s Last Tweet/Photo Before He Died was in Support of Kamala Harris
Chadwick Boseman’s final tweet before his death in 2020 was both personal and political. On August 11, 2020, Boseman’s then-verified Twitter account featured a photo of “The Black Panther” star embracing then-Senator Kamala Harris. It was the same day President Joe Biden announced Harris would be his running mate for the White House.

“YES @KamalaHarris!,” the tweet with three clapping hand emojis reads. “#WhenWeAllVote #Vote2020.”
The next tweet is from August 28, 2020, which announced Boseman had died after privately battling colon cancer since 2016. He was 43.

Boseman’s death was shocking to many, but not his support of Harris.
The pair are both alumni of Howard University, one of the most esteemed among the country’s historically Black colleges and universities.
Harris shared a similar photo to the one on Boseman’s account in a tribute after his death.
“Heartbroken. My friend and fellow Bison Chadwick Boseman was brilliant, kind, learned, and humble,” she wrote at the time. “He left too early but his life made a difference. Sending my sincere condolences to his family.”

Following news on Sunday that President Biden would not seek a second term and his endorsement of Harris, Boseman’s 2020 tweet began recirculating on social media.

The Chadwick A. Boseman College of Fine Arts was named in honor of the late actor by Howard University in 2021.

Snoop Dogg to carry Olympic torch ahead of Paris opening ceremony
American rapper Snoop Dogg will be among the torchbearers carrying the Olympic flame in the final stretch before the opening ceremony of the Paris Games on Friday.
Snoop Dogg, 52, will carry the torch through the streets of Saint-Denis, the northern Paris suburb that is home to the Stade de France Olympic Stadium, the town's mayor, Mathieu Hanotin, said on X.

"Saint Denis: last step before the Eiffel Tower. An international cast @SnoopDogg for the last stretch of the Olympic Flame," Hanotin wrote
The rapper, who is also contributing to NBC's coverage of the Games, is better known in the sports world for his Snoop Youth Football League. The championship game is called the "Snooper Bowl."

Other carriers of the torch in Saint-Denis on Friday include French actress Laetitia Casta and French rapper MC Solaar.
The identity of the person who will light the Olympic cauldron on the night of the opening ceremony is secret, with less than a dozen people in the know.

Paris 2024 organizing committee president Tony Estanguet said on Sunday that the person who will light the cauldron on Friday was not yet aware they had been selected.

Candidates include Marie-Jose Perec, a three-time gold medalist in track and field who is widely considered to be France's best Olympian of all time, and soccer star Zinedine Zidane, who led France to the World Cup title in 1998 and the European crown in 2000.

Shannen Doherty Disinvited Co-Stars Jennie Garth & Alyssa Milano From Her Funeral Before Her Death

Actress Shannen Doherty had reportedly planned her funeral before her, and several people were not allowed to attend.
Several sources close to the “Beverly Hills, 90210” actress have revealed that her co-star, Jennie Garth, is not allowed to attend her service. Doherty’s fellow “Charmed” actress, Alyssa Milano, is also excluded from the service. Doherty had been at odds with both women throughout the years. After news broke of her death, Garth briefly spoke about their rocky relationship in an Instagram tribute.

“Our connection was real and honest. We were so often pitted against each other, but none of that reflected the truth of our real relationship, which was one built on mutual respect and admiration,” Garth wrote alongside photos of her and Doherty. No matter the actual nature of their friendship, Doherty reportedly did not want Garth anywhere near the program.
Back in January 2024, Doherty spoke candidly about why she created a “list” of people not allowed to attend her service. As she explained, excluding people before her death made it easier on those she may have had tension with.

“There’s a lot of people that I think would show up that I don’t want there. I don’t want them there because their reasons for showing up aren’t necessarily the best reasons … Like, they don’t really like me and, you know, they have their reasons and good for them, but they don’t actually really like me enough to show up to my funeral,” Doherty said in an episode of her “Let’s Be Clear” podcast adding “So I kinda want to take the pressure off them and I want my funeral to be like a love fest … I don’t want people to be crying or people to privately be like, ‘Thank God that b***h is dead now.'”

Doherty died after a lengthy battle with breast cancer that began in 2015. She went into remission in 2017, only for the cancer to return in 2019 as metastatic stage 4 breast cancer. Sadly, the disease spread to her bones and brain. She died from the illness on July 13th, 2024.
Neither Garth nor Milano have spoken out publicly about being banned from Doherty’s funeral. It’s unclear when the service will take place.

U.S. Secret Service Director Resigns Amid Outrage Over Trump Assassination Attempt
Kimberly Cheatle has resigned from her position as Director of the U.S. Secret Service following widespread outrage over the agency’s failure to prevent an attempted assassination on Donald Trump earlier this month.
Cheatle resigned a day after a tense House hearing on the Secret Service’s failures at Trump’s July 13 rally.

Despite the criticism, she initially refused to step down, claiming she was the best person to lead the agency.
However, on Tuesday, Cheatle wrote a letter to Secret Service staff announcing her resignation. “In light of recent events, it is with a heavy heart that I have made the difficult decision to step down as your Director,” she wrote.

“The Secret Service’s solemn mission is to protect our nation’s leaders and financial infrastructure. On July 13th, we fell short in that mission. The scrutiny over the last week has been intense and will continue as our operational tempo increases. As your Director, I take full responsibility for the security lapse.”
