#MAGFAB: Rapper Saweetie strikes a Pose For ALLURE’s March Issue!

In her cover story with ALLURE, Saweetie discusses her long-awaited first album and why despite her mainstream success – or perhaps because of it – she took a year out of the spotlight to reconnect with herself and her artistry that had been lost since becoming an overnight sensation. Now she’s back with a sharper vision, a budding acting career, and the grit to make this era the one that she’s been waiting for all along.
On the biggest mistake the music industry makes: “The labels, they always want you to go straight pop, but the reason I came into the music industry is I love to get my thoughts off. My stream of consciousness is in my freestyles. It was just like, ‘I’m releasing it. I have to.’ Before we go into the radio and whatever y’all want to do that’s cool, but let me do what I like. It all started with me rapping in my car. I think that’s the biggest mistake labels make these days. They take the artists away from what they’re inherently good at — the reasons their fan base fell in love with them. And I think it’s unfortunate that sometimes the art gets lost in that transition.”
On being underestimated while growing up: “I’ve always been underestimated — it’s like a recurring theme in my life. That’s why the internet don’t really bother me. There’d be moments in classes when the white teachers would be like, ‘Does your mom do your homework for you? Because we know that you’re not this smart.’ Or when I would try out for sports, they’d be, ‘Oh, she’s a pretty girl, she probably sucks.’ It was just constant doubt, all the time. But, that created the confidence, created me depending on myself, and me always wanting to break boundaries.”
On losing confidence in her team early on: “I was told I should twerk more on my Instagram. I was told that my voice was very boring. I was told that I rapped too monotone and needed more energy. I was told that I needed to share more of my life on the internet.”

On why it’s taken a few years to drop her debut album: “I just feel like nobody was caring about my music. To me, music is sacred. It’s coming from your spirit. You can’t just go finish an album in a week. That’s why it’s taking me so long. That’s why I haven’t dropped an album yet…“I don’t mean to dampen the mood. But this is, realistically, how my career has been. We were constantly criticized for every drop. I was just very insecure. I’m a confident woman, but I was a very insecure artist.”

#RHOA: Sheree Whitfield’s ‘Traitors’ Strategy Was to Keep ‘RHOA’ Costar Phaedra Parks in the Castle
The Housewives had numbers on their side during season 2 of The Traitors. Shereé Whitfield not only played the game as a faithful, but she stayed loyal to her Real Housewives of Atlanta costar Phaedra Parks. Shereé exclusively reveals to In Touch that keeping her longtime friend in the game was her “strategy to stay in the castle as long as possible.”

“I knew early on that Phaedra was a traitor. I knew we had four housewives in the castle and that one of us had to be a traitor,” the Bravo star, 54, admits. “At first, I was suspecting Larsa [Pippen], but then knew it wasn't her once Marcus [Jordan] was murdered since those two are inseparable.”
Phaedra, 50, was a traitor from day one alongside Big Brother’s Dan Gheesling. The faithfuls didn’t sniff out the Married to Medicine star as a deceiving murderer at first. However, her nonchalant attitude put a huge target on her back. Not to mention, Dan voted Phaedra as a traitor before he was banished from the castle.

“Every time I wanted to talk game with Phaedra, she always deflected. She never went for a shield, and she never ever seemed worried,” Shereé tells In Touch. “I never let Phaedra know I was onto her because I knew she would keep me around. In fact, I was always trying to convince others that I didn't think she was a Traitor!”
The She by Shereé founder saved Phaedra from elimination multiple times. During midseason, host Alan Cummings canceled the Roundtable vote. Instead, the cast headed to the Scottish Highlands to save one costar by lighting their torch. Survivor legend Sandra Diaz-Twine and Kevin Kreider from Bling Empire kicked off the ceremony by saving Shereé, who then spared Phaedra from elimination, leading her to tears.

"I picked Phaedra because I don't feel like people should be targeting people because of the show that we're on. I believe that she's faithful," Shereé told the group.
The attorney, for her part, shared her gratitude in a confessional interview.
"I've known Shereé for well over 20 years. We've got a history that none of these people will understand,” Phaedra explained. “So, my emotion is about life coming around full circle and bringing us here [to] this moment."
However, as the game drew closer to the finale, Shereé voted Phaedra as a traitor during the February 29 episode. The Bravo star’s decision came after she had a one-on-one conversation with Phaedra, who denied being a traitor. "I’m so happy to have had this experience with you. I do love you. I don’t want to get emotional, I’ve enjoyed our time in this game, but I think you’re a traitor.”

Phaedra was banished from the castle, leaving Below Deck’s Kate Chastain as the final traitor in the game.
As for Shereé, she may have remained completely under the radar all season, but her tactics led her to the finale!

“The biggest lesson I learned from The Traitors was to keep my friends close but to also keep my enemies closer. Once I came to the conclusion that Phaedra was a Traitor, I knew I had to remain loyal to her in order to keep myself alive in this game,” Shereé tells In Touch. “Even though we may not all trust each other, there was a great sense of teamwork and sisterhood in the game. I hope these same feelings could fall over to some of the RHOA ladies.”

The Traitors season finale airs on Thursday, March 7 with episodes available to stream on Peacock.

#HipHopNews: Megan Thee Stallion’s Former Best Friend Kelsey Harris Does First Interview Since Tory Lanez Shooting, Claims She Has PTSD From Incident
On Sunday (March 3), Kelsey was the first guest on the season two premiere of The Danza Project podcast. During the nearly two-hour interview, Kelsey, who was present the night of the shooting, remained mostly mum on exact details of the night Tory Lanez shot Megan Thee Stallion. However, she did talk about an alleged video of the incident that may exist.
"Where's the video?" she asked around the 1:05:50 mark of the interview below. "And, hopefully, there is a video. Guess what that's gonna do? Clear the f**k outta my name. S**t, I wish there was a video. I'm sure there was a video."

She also talked about how the night has affect her.
"That morning, I woke up and I had said a prayer." Kelsey said at the 1:17:20 mark. "'If there’s something not for me, show me that.' I swear to you, I prayed that that morning. That night, it was destruction. I was angry. This is not what I asked for. But you have to be prepared for what you ask for."

"It had to happen that way for me to get away. For me to grow. For me to shine in my own light," she continued.
Kelsey also discussed the trauma she's gone through from what she witnessed that night.
"I was really going through s**t," she added. "I really have PTSD from that. Really was depressed. All of that s**t is very real. And, no, I'm human. My pain does matter."

The issues between Megan Thee Stallion and Kelsey Harris sparked the night of the July 15, 2020 shooting, when Kelsey reportedly discovered Megan had slept with Tory Lanez, with whom Kelsey was in a relationship. An argument between the trio ensued after they left a party at Kylie Jenner's house. During the altercation, Tory Lanez shot Megan in the foot.

Kelsey was less than forthcoming when she took the stand during Tory Lanez's trial. Despite receiving immunity from the prosecution, she refused to answer many questions or name Tory as the shooter. She also contradicted statements she made in an interview with prosecutors prior to the trial, in which she claimed Tory threatened her right before the shooting. Tory Lanez's jail call to Kelsey the night of the shooting, where he apologizes profusely for his actions that night had a big affect on Tory being found guilty on December 23, 2022, and sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Arizona Senator Kyrsten Sinema announces she is retiring from the Senate

Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, an Arizona independent, announced Tuesday she will retire at the end of her term this year, blaming growing partisanship and mudslinging in Washington for driving her decision to not run for reelection.
“I believe in my approach, but it’s not what America wants right now,” Sinema said, in a video announcing her decision.

Sinema has long been a high-profile and influential figure in the Senate, frequently working to broker compromise between Democrats and Republicans.
She formally left the Democratic Party in 2022 to register as a political independent, telling CNN’s Jake Tapper at the time, “I’ve never fit neatly into any party box. I’ve never really tried. I don’t want to.”

Removing myself from the partisan structure – not only is it true to who I am and how I operate, I also think it’ll provide a place of belonging for many folks across the state and the country, who also are tired of the partisanship,” she said in that interview.

Most recently, Sinema served as a key negotiator, along with Republican Sen. James Lankford of Oklahoma and Democratic Sen. Chris Murphy of Connecticut, for a major bipartisan border deal that was intended to be paired with a foreign aid package with assistance for Ukraine and Israel.

Senate Republicans initially demanded that any foreign aid package be passed along with border measures, but ultimately turned against the border deal and blocked it amid harsh criticism of the package from former President Donald Trump. The Senate went on to pass a foreign aid package with aid for Ukraine and Israel without border provisions, but House Speaker Mike Johnson has said he does not plan to bring the bill to the floor and many House Republicans oppose further aid for Ukraine.

DDG Fires Back At Podcaster Elijah Schaffer For Calling Halle Bailey 'Ugly' And Likening Her To E.T.

DDG may not be a perfect man, but he surely will stand up for his loved ones, especially Halle Bailey. The rapper has defended his girlfriend after Elijah Schaffer attacked the singer/actress' appearance, comparing her to E.T.
On Saturday, March 2, Elijah took to his X, formerly Twitter, account to criticize Hollywood stars these days. "When exactly did Hollywood become flooded with ugly people?" he wrote. In a separate tweet, he penned, "The new Little Mermaid actress," along with a photo of E.T., seemingly comparing Halle to the fictional character.

After other users noticed Elijah's tweets, they found an image of the podcaster's mother and shared it online, with many calling his mom "ugly." Elijah clapped back, saying that she was suffering from a disease that altered her appearance.
Catching wind of the chatter, DDG also used the photo of Elijah's mother to fire back at him. "I'm smokin on yo dead a** mama. That dumb b***h should've got a better doctor LMFAO @ElijahSchaffer," the YouTuber wrote while retweeting a picture of Elijah and his mother.

The father of one also posted a selfie of him smoking a blunt with an image of the head of Elijah's mom photoshopped onto the burning end of it. "Ngl this s**t gas," he captioned it.

Lupita Nyong'o And Joshua Jackson Look 'Madly In Love' On Her 41st Birthday Celebration In Mexico!
Lupita Nyong'o celebrated her 41st birthday with Joshua Jackson. The "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" actress and the former "Dawson's Creek" star went for a trip to Mexico and appeared to have had a blast during their romantic vacation.
On Monday, March 4, a source, who claimed to have seen the Oscar-winning actress and the 45-year-old actor in Puerto Vallarta, spilled to E! News that "they looked madly in love." The source went on to explain, "Like they just couldn't get enough of one another."

The insider also revealed that Joshua prepared a surprise for Lupita, who turned 41 years old on March 1. According to the insider, he surprised her with a "large balloon display" and a "stunning bouquet of flowers" that were "set up in their hotel suite."
Aside from that, Lupita and Joshua enjoyed a beach day out together. On Sunday, March 3, the two were caught on camera soaking up the sun and running to the waves while holding hands. In one of the photos, it could be seen that both of them looked happy as they flashed their radiant big smiles.

For the sunny day out, Lupita showcased her fit physique in a colorful bra top that came with a twist and two straps. She also donned a pair of skimpy matching undies. Meanwhile, he went shirtless and sported only a pair of black swim trunks.

Prior to the romance, Lupita dated Selema Masekela before she announced their split on October 19, 2023. As for Joshua, he was slapped with divorce papers by his estranged wife Jodie Turner-Smith earlier that same month.

Philadelphia Eagles All-Pro Jason Kelce announces retirement after 13 seasons

When Jason Kelce posted about keg stands on X Monday morning, Philadelphia Eagles fans knew what it meant: their beloved All-Pro center would be announcing his retirement after 13 years in the NFL.
At Eagles headquarters on Monday afternoon, Kelce gave one of the great retirement speeches of all time, tearfully recounting his journey through the game and thanking everyone who helped him get there. He has never been afraid to share his emotions with the world, and this was no exception. He frequently stopped to let out the tears and compose himself. After dedicating his entire adult life thus far to playing Hall-of-Fame-caliber football for the Eagles, he knew he'd earned it.

Even his brother, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, couldn't hold back the tears.
Jason Kelce thanked everyone he possibly could, from family to friends to coaches and even his old band teacher in high school. He thanked college classmates from Cincinnati, where he was a walk-on, all four NFL head coaches he's played for (Andy Reid, Chip Kelly, Doug Pederson and Nick Sirianni), and the only boss he's ever had: Jeffrey Lurie, owner of the Eagles.

Kelce spoke about playing in Philadelphia, a city he understands better than perhaps any athlete ever.
“Yes, they will let you know when you're not performing well every time. But they will also love you if you show effort, aggression, desire, the will to fight. They will love you in this city if you love it.”

He recalled going out to a joint called Buffalo Billiards with his teammates after an Eagles Christmas party several years ago, where "my life would change forever." He met his future wife Kylie that night, and since then his career flourished. They now have three young daughters they're raising in the Philly area.

He thanked his parents for being strong, loving, firm, kind, supportive, thoughtful and inspirational. And, of course, he had loving words for his brother, Travis.
A short time later, Kelce finally said the words "I'm retiring from the NFL" and ended his speech.
"That's all I've got," he said. It was more than enough.
Once Kelce stepped away from the mic, the Eagles posted a loving message on social media, penned by Lurie himself.

As for what Kelce will do now, he's got the entire world at his feet. He and his brother have an enormously successful podcast. He's beloved around the NFL and especially in Philadelphia. He's smart, funny, eloquent and fiercely motivational. He could do anything. But right now, he's not sure what he wants to do. No one would blame him if he did absolutely nothing for awhile. He's earned it.

Charlamagne Tha God Apologizes To Reesa Teesa For His ‘Big Back’ Jokes
On Monday morning, Charlamagne Tha God apologized for the “big back” jokes he made about viral TikTok creator Reesa Teesa.
While discussing “Who TF Did I Marry” on “The Breakfast Club,” Charlamagne said, “I gotta be honest. I hear a lot of big back behavior.”
Jess Hilarious chimed in saying, “She do. She does give Sheila that was driving up the mountain.” (Referencing Jill Scott‘s role in Tyler Perry‘s Why Did I Get Married?)

Charlamagne added, “Some of you big backs…y’all gotta stop being so thirsty for a man. Big back belief isn’t like everyone else’s belief.”
During an appearance on the “Tamron Hall Show,” Reesa Teesa shared that she’s received a lot of negative comments, but the comments from Charlamagne were especially hurtful.

“There was a person, a very famous personality that called me a ‘big back’ – talking about my weight,” Reesa said.
She added, “I can already admit I’m self-conscious as a heavier woman I feel like how I look should not dictate whether or not I deserve…”
Reesa Teesa said, “That was disappointing and it was hurtful – especially the one that was the more famous personality. Because again, I’m more than just my weight.”

Charlamagne Tha God apologized to Reesa Teesa saying, “I tell y’all all the time the easiest way to keep your own peace is not disturb the peace of others. I disturbed that woman’s peace and that wasn’t my intention. So, I apologize if my words made her feel that way.”

Instead of stopping there, Charlamagne added a few footnotes to his apology.
No. 1 – I never said she don’t deserve love because of her size. I didn’t even know she was big. Jess told the story and I said it sounds like big back behavior and I started talking bout big back belief.
Now, if y’all want to have a conversation about reinforcing negative stereotypes of big backs I understand – I’m open to it.
But, acting like I was having a conversation about Reesa Tessa’s looks and size that’s not accurate.
I was speaking in general terms about big back behavior and big back belief.

And I actually said nobody has to be that desperate because there is a man out there for you.
Charlamagne wasn’t done. He continued:
I do have one final point we all have social media and we all use it for different reasons and Reesa is getting a lot of props for being so vulnerable- salute to her.

But, I personally feel we have to stop bringing this stuff to social media if you don’t want people to have an opinion about it.
Because some of this stuff should be reserved for our therapists if we can’t handle people having an opinion about whatever we are venting about.

Keep it off of social media. That’s my personal opinion.
Not only was she a guest on “The Tamron Hall Show,” but Reesa, whose real name is Teresa Johnson, also appeared on “Good Morning America.”

Dwight Howard Drops Invasion of Privacy Lawsuit Against Alleged Ex-Lover

A judge has quietly dismissed a lawsuit involving Dwight Howard and a man who claimed that he was threatened and harassed to keep their alleged affair secret.

According to RadarOnline, a Georgia judge dismissed the case one month after rejecting a request to dismiss a sexual assault lawsuit filed by another man. This individual claimed he was coerced into a threesome with Howard and someone dressed as a woman named “Kitty.”
Initially, Howard denied having a romantic encounter with Masin Elije, 28, who sued him in 2019 for “assault” and “intentional infliction of emotional distress.”

Last year, Elije’s claims were dismissed in court, yet Howard was allowed to pursue counterclaims against him, including libel, slander, and invasion of privacy.
Shortly after, Howard encountered a lawsuit from Stephen Harper, who also claimed assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and false imprisonment, involving the incident with Kitty in July 2021
This week, Howard, currently entangled in a legal dispute with Harper, opted to withdraw all counterclaims against Elije.

“Yes, Mr. Howard’s attorneys filed a dismissal with the court, so that case is now closed,” said Elije’s renowned lawyers, Olga Izmaylova and Sadeer Sabbak.
“I don’t want to speculate on what Mr. Howard is thinking, but I will say that his claims in the [Elije] matter and his defenses in the Harper matter are inconsistent with one another.”
According to Elije’s lawsuit, Howard sent people to pressure him into signing a non-disclosure agreement, keeping their alleged relationship secret; however, Howard had strongly denied any involvement in a relationship with a man at that time.

In 2018, Elije claimed Kitty threatened him for talking about Howard’s sexual activities. Harper, in court documents, stated that the same Kitty threatened him, saying, “Someone will put a bullet in his head” if he discussed the sexual encounter with Howard.

Last month, RadarOnline.com reported that Gwinnett County’s Chief Judge Carla E. Brown denied Howard’s request to dismiss Harper’s claim, citing an “affidavit and other evidence raising triable issues of material fact.”
