#RHOA: Phaedra Parks Reveals Why She Joined Married to Medicine Over Real Housewives of Dubai
No Bravolebrity has hopped across shows the way Phaedra Parks has. She got her start on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Then, she made a cameo on The Real Housewives of Dubai. She’s filmed two seasons of Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. Now, she’s settling into a new full-time spot on Married to Medicine.

After getting a glimpse of Phaedra in Dubai, most of us just assumed she was getting ready to permanently trade in her peach for the city of gold. Phaedra joining the M2M ladies was not on anybody’s radar. With the Season 10 premiere of Married to Medicine right around the corner, Phaedra sat down with Page Six and explained just how she ended up here.

Phaedra can’t quit Atlanta
Phaedra appeared on Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast and revealed that the main reason she didn’t permanently join the Dubai ladies was because she just wasn’t ready to leave Atlanta. Despite a friendship with Caroline Brooks and “business dealings” in Dubai, Phaedra explained that it’s just too much of a different world. Phaedra explained that it made more sense logistically for her to join another Atlanta show over RHODubai.

“I love that cast. I’ve got great friends over there, and I mean, I think it has the potential to be a great show,” Phaedra said of the Real Housewives of Dubai. But ultimately, she shared that she has to think of what’s best for her sons, the Prince and Mr. President.
“But at the end of the day, of course, my roots are always going to be in Atlanta,” she explained. “And I’ve got two wonderful sons who are in school here.”

Allegedly, the Married to Medicine cast was practically begging Phaedra to join their show, and she’s happy to be back on Bravo in a full-time capacity. It’s doubtful that the RHODubai ladies had that same energy. And although Phaedra isn’t going to move to the Middle East, she’s not ruling out another cameo in the future.

“I love the ladies of Dubai and I’m sure you will still see me over there from time to time, but Atlanta’s definitely home,” she told the outlet.
Phaedra makes her Married to Medicine debut when Season 10 premieres on Bravo on November 5 at 9/8c.

TELL US – DID YOU WANT TO SEE PHAEDRA HAVE A REGULAR ROLE ON RHODUBAI? OR, DO YOU THINK SHE’LL FAIR BETTER ON M2M?

#MusicNews: Nile Rodgers Performs the Funkiest Tiny Desk Concert Ever

The legendary Nile Rodgers brought a whole lot of funk to the NPR office for the latest iteration of their Tiny Desk Concert series.
Rodgers’ six-song setlist serves as a useful reminder of just how ubiquitous his music is. He and his CHIC bandmates kicked things off with their 1978 disco classic “Le Freak,” the whoops and hollers of the vocalists meshing with those from the equally-energized audience.

“Obviously, every song we’re gonna play today is a song I wrote,” Rodgers said between songs with a smile, laughing off the braggadocio of the statement. But bragging is absolutely called for when you’ve written tunes like Diana Ross’ “I’m Coming Out,” Sister Sledge’s “We Are Family,” and Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky,” all of which Rodgers also performed at the Tiny Desk.

Rogers and company then played the CHIC song “Good Times,” further proving his massive influence by incorporating a portion of a song that samples it, Sugarhill Gang’s hip hop classic “Rapper’s Delight.” Lastly, the set finished out with David Bowie’s “Let’s Dance,” and the entire room accepted the invitation to groove along. It just might be one of the most fun Tiny Desk Concerts ever.

HipHopNews: Jack Harlow Announced As Detroit Lions' Halftime Performer For Thanksgiving
Jack Harlow is set to headline the Detroit Lions’ Thanksgiving Day halftime performance, as announced before the Monday (Oct. 30) night game against the Las Vegas Raiders.

“I’m proud to say I’m doing the halftime show at the Thanksgiving game in Detroit here in a little under a month,” Harlow revealed on ESPN’s “Monday Night Countdown.” He added, “It’s wonderful.”

The “WHATS POPPIN” hitmaker explained, “I mean, it’s insane. Just to be in the hometown of somebody I look up to and that paved so much of the way and made it OK in a certain sense… It means the world. I mean, there’s a little bit of weight to it. You show up and feel like the people in this town have a high standard, you know?”

The artist later shared his aspirations for the event to stand out. “It’s an opportunity, and you can either do the bare minimum, or you can seize it. So we’re putting a lot of thought into it,” he stated.

Previous performances for Detroit’s halftime show included Bebe Rexha in 2022 and Big Sean in 2021. The Thanksgiving Day Classic will air nationally on Fox on Nov. 23 at 12:30 p.m. ET as the Lions face the Green Bay Packers.

On the music side, Harlow recently collaborated with BTS’ Jung Kook on “3D.” Prior to that, he unloaded a number of visuals from his third studio album Jackman., which debuted in April. The 10-song effort contained standout cuts like “They Don’t Love It,” “It Can’t Be,” and “Denver,” among others.

On Nov. 24, Harlow is slated to begin his “No Place Like Home: The Kentucky Tour.” It will kick off at the Owensboro Sportscenter before making stops in Covington, Pikeville, and Murray. The finale is set to take place on Dec. 3 at Lexington’s Rupp Arena.

#RIP: Tyler Christopher, ‘General Hospital’ actor, dead at 50

Tyler Christopher, an actor known for his roles on “General Hospital” and “Days of Our Lives,” has died. He was 50.
Christopher’s representative Chi Muoi Lo told CNN in a statement that the actor died Tuesday morning.
“This news was incredibly shocking, and I am devastated by his loss. He was a very gifted actor, and more importantly, an amazing friend. My heart goes out to his friends and family who loved him so much,” the statement read.

Christopher’s “General Hospital” co-star Maurice Bernard also shared a tribute to the actor on Tuesday, writing, “Tyler was a truly talented individual that lit up the screen in every scene he performed and relished bringing joy to his loyal fans through his acting.”

“Tyler was a sweet soul and wonderful friend to all of those who knew him,” he added.
In 2008, Christopher married ESPN reporter Brienne Pedigo, with whom he shared two children. According to People, the pair ended their marriage in 2021. He was previously married to actress Eva Longoria from 2002 to 2004.

Christopher was best known for his role playing the popular character Nikolas Cassadine on the long-running daytime soap opera “General Hospital.” He starred as Cassadine at various points between 1996 and 2016, earning one Daytime Emmy win and four additional nominations for his performance along the way.

In a 2017 interview with Soap Opera Digest, the actor said he’d left “General Hospital” to take a “personal leave,” and ultimately did not end up returning to the show. He went on to star as Stefan DiMera in the NBC soap opera “Days of Our Lives” between 2018 and 2019, a performance for which he also earned a Daytime Emmy nomination.

Outside of his celebrated career as an actor, Christopher dealt with various hardships toward the end of his life.
In 2019, he reportedly underwent craniotomy surgery after he fell in his bathroom at his home and injured his head. His sister, according to an interview Christopher participated in with Bloomberg Law in July, petitioned to be his legal guardian during his recovery. The guardianship ended in 2021.

In May, the actor was arrested at the Hollywood-Burbank airport on suspicion of public intoxication, according to the LA Times.
“Tyler was an advocate for better mental health and substance use treatment who openly spoke about his struggles with bipolar depression and alcohol,” Bernard wrote in his Instagram post Tuesday. “We are beyond devastated by the loss of our dear friend and pray for his children and his father.”

James Harden arrives in L.A., welcomed in Clippers' locker room
LOS ANGELES -- Not long after James Harden and P.J. Tucker walked into their new locker room with the LA Clippers, Russell Westbrook greeted his former Houston Rockets teammates with a handshake and embrace.
While the proposed trade between the Clippers and Philadelphia 76ers had not become official as of late Tuesday night in Los Angeles, Harden and Tucker were welcomed by the Clippers the moment they got out of their SUV in the Crypto.com Arena loading dock.

Team president Lawrence Frank was there to greet both players and walk them to the Clippers' locker room. Not long into their walk, Clippers owner Steve Ballmer came over to shake hands with both Harden and Tucker.
In the locker room, Westbrook and Harden were reunited again. The two played together in Oklahoma City and Houston. Westbrook snapped out of his typical pregame routine and focus and joked with Harden that he can stay on the other side of the locker room, where his new locker is situated across the room from Westbrook's locker.

Eventually, Tucker and Harden sat near Westbrook and Paul George to catch up over an hour before the Clippers faced the Orlando Magic on Tuesday night.
Asked by a reporter in the locker room how excited he is, Harden replied, "You don't understand."

While walking in the locker room, Harden also sang "You Dropped A Bomb On Me" by the Gap Band, which was playing in the nearby trainer's room.

Even if the trade becomes official on Tuesday night, the expectation is Harden and Tucker likely will not suit up against the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday.
Following that game, the Clippers have four days off before they open a three-game road swing in New York against the Knicks on Monday. The Clippers can use those four days as a mini training camp for Harden and Tucker once the deal becomes official.

Clippers coach Ty Lue could not comment on the trade before Tuesday night's game because the deal had not become official yet.
The Clippers beat the Magic 118-102.

Matthew Perry's Death Investigated By Robbery Homicide Police

Matthew Perry's death is reportedly being investigated by robbery homicide police. The "Friends" actor passed away in a suspected drowning aged 54 on Saturday, October 28 in the hot tub in the backyard of his $6 million mansion in the Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles, and despite cops saying there were no signs of foul play at the scene of his death, it's said he the LAPD's Robbery Homicide Division has taken over the investigation into his shock passing.

"It may come as a surprise to some because foul play is not suspected at this point but cops say it's just standard procedure for (its Robbery Homicide Division to investigate) high-profile cases," TMZ reported on Tuesday, October 31.
It added the LAPD told it "the Robbery Homicide Division is looking to make sure there is nothing nefarious involved in Matthew's death, and it's normal for RHD to take the lead on high-profile cases because RHD has the experience and manpower necessary."

After an initial investigation, the Los Angeles County coroner has deferred giving a cause of death for the Chandler Bing actor's passing, which may take weeks to determine.
Matthew reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest and was unresponsive when found by his assistant in his jacuzzi at 4 P.M. on Saturday. His staff member made a frantic 911 call and a drowning was referred to in the 15-second dispatch audio clip obtained by TMZ.

Matthew had spent years battling drink and drug addictions, and authorities said no illegal substances were found at his home. But his home was reportedly packed with a huge range of prescription medications - from anti-depressants and anxiety pills to heart drugs.

TMZ said, "Our law enforcement sources said authorities found anti-depressants, anti-anxiety drugs and a COPD drug in the house."
COPD is short for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and drugs used to treat it are often used for people who have emphysema or chronic bronchitis.

In 2018 at the age of 49 Matthew suffered a gastrointestinal perforation as a result of his extreme opiate usage. He was given just a two percent chance of living after being comatose for two weeks and the actor had to use a colostomy bag while his colon healed.

Mama Tina Knowles Says Beyoncé Gets ‘Really Mean’ Backstage During Tour Season

Tina Knowles spilled some backstage tea about her daughter Beyoncé during a special episode of the “Sherri” show on Oct. 31.
Knowles appeared on Sherri Shepherd’s “Sherri’s Halloween Renaissance” show, where the talk show host recreated several stunning looks from the singer’s Renaissance Tour.

The “Halo” singer’s 69-year-old mother looked fierce wearing a recreation of Bey’s custom sparkling red Telfar bodysuit with thigh-high boots.

The duo sat down to discuss Knowles and her family, and after Shepherd asked about what takes place behind the scenes at Beyoncé’s shows. Knowles then revealed that her daughter would sometimes get “mean” during costume changes backstage.

“You know, we laughed about this recently because I was sayin’, ‘Girl, you get really mean back there,”” said Knowles. “And I am really happy that I don’t have to be back there anymore, because I used to do the quick change.”

The fashion designer said they used to laugh about it, especially when referring to Beyoncé’s 2006 song, “Flaws and All,” where she sang, “I’m a train wreck in the morning,
I’m a b—h in the afternoon.
“And I’d be like, ‘in the evening, too,” added Knowles. She said her firstborn would always apologize after the show and would sometimes be in tears.
“She crying ‘cuz she knows she done said some crazy stuff to us,” added Knowles.

The proud mother went on to say that Bey’s snaps would often be in the heat of the moment while everyone was waiting for her, and that a wardrobe malfunction like a missing shoe could ruin the entire show.

“One thing Miss Tina will do is spill some sort of tea on her daughter like all moms LOL ! Great interview @sherrieshepherd,” tweeted an X user after clips of her interview were shared online.

Many reacted by sharing other “mean” Bey moments that were caught on camera during her Renaissance Tour, including one where production forgot to move some stairs during a performance.
The text on the video read, “beyonce was MADDDD ather production team last night during the finale.” The post was captioned, “This told me everything.”
Another fan shared a video of the 42-year-old once walking offstage during a performance after a technical issue.
“lol LOVE THIS! And Mama Tina know she look good!,” replied one person, while another joked, “The only person Bey can’t get to sign an NDA.”

Lil Kim Takes Off Her Panties and Throws Them Into Crowd During Atlanta Concert
Hip-hop legends, icons, and stars came out to perform over the weekend at ONE Music Festival at Piedmont Park in Atlanta.
During the Oct. 28 and 29 event, musical guests like Janet Jackson, Kendrick Lamar, Megan Thee Stallion, and so many more tore the house down. While the show went off without any controversy, one performer, Lil’ Kim, left fans confused after what she did during her set.

Lil’ Kim went onstage during the first night of the event. The ’90s legend appeared to have a “wardrobe malfunction” as she performed one of her songs.
While in the middle of choosing her next song, the “No Matter What They Say” rapper asked the crowd, “What do I got for y’all next?”

It was then that she seemed to notice the “malfunction” as she said, “panties comin’ down, ooh.” She then told the crowd “How about this?” before she bent down and took them off onstage.
The Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, rapper then proceeded to chuck her undergarments into the crowd, just as her 1996 song “No Time” came on.
In another clip from a fan’s perspective, the crowd can be heard oohing and aahing as the rapper executes the provocative act. One fan said, “Her panties came down?” When she threw them into the crowd, another concertgoer could be heard saying, “That’s nasty. I like it. I like that s—t though.”

Fans seemed confused by her actions as one person asked, “What made her think that was ok?!!” Another person who believes Lil’ Kim is past her prime, said, “This woulda been cool if it happened in ’98, but now not so much.”
Other people said that they would have taken legal action against the female rap icon if the panties had touched them. One commenter jokingly said, “I would’ve definitely sued had it hit me in the face! Your honor she just threw her whole c—–e at me, I know you saw it!”

That wasn’t the only provocative thing that former Notorious B.I.G collaborator did over the weekend. Lil’ Kim also had reality television personality and rapper Sukihana from “Love & Hip Hop: Miami” come out as a special guest during her performance.
“Let’s go,” Lil’ Kim told the crowd. “I’mma bring my sister out here on some freaky s—t. F—k that, let’s go,” before the polarizing 31-year-old was lifted onto the stage, in a lime green outfit with hair to match.

Sukihana came out to her song “Eating,” and Lil’ Kim danced with her as she rapped her lyrics. The two rappers then shared a hug onstage after the viral song was cut off.

On her Instagram, Sukihana thanked the female rap pioneer saying, “@lilkimthequeenbee brought me outtttt this means so much to [Bee emoji] my hard work is paying off. I am actually just getting started. So excited to show the world SUKIHANA. This is a dream come true for me.”

Fans in Sukihana’s comments congratulated the rapper, and they also gave love to Lil’ Kim for bringing her out. One even went as far as to say that the moment felt like a “passing of the torch.”

Ramona Singer Cut From BravoCon Following Use of Partial Racial Slur

Romona Singer has reportedly been cut from the 2023 BravoCon lineup just days ahead of the annual event. The move comes in the wake of news that the former Real Housewives of New York City star has allegedly used a racial slur multiple times.
On Tuesday, Oct. 31, sources confirmed to Page Six that Singer—who was slated to attend the three-day event in Las Vegas starting on Nov. 3—will not be attending BravoCon after all. Her name has also been removed from the festival's app.

Singer's axing comes after an Oct. 30 Vanity Fair article brought to light a Nov. 6, 2020, incident during which Singer reportedly used the N-word. Allegedly, she used the slur while speaking with a senior producer, Darian Edmondson (who is Black), during the production of RHONY Season 13.

Edmondson told Vanity Fair that Singer was comparing an interaction with co-star Eboni Williams to when Jewish colleagues used a "Catholic slur" by calling her a "shiksa" (a Yiddish term for a woman who isn't Jewish).
"Ramona, I have no idea what you’re talking about," Edmondson reportedly replied.
To that, Singer allegedly said, "Oh, it’s literally like somebody calling you a n-----.”

Singer reportedly clarified her choice of words in a recent text to Page Six, with the publication sharing a screenshot of the alleged message: “And the word I used was ‘NWord’ Not n-g…” Hours after allegedly sending the message including the partial slur, her name had disappeared from the con's lineup, according to the publication.

Furthermore, Williams told Vanity Fair that Singer reportedly said "most" Black people don't have present fathers during a training call with racial justice representatives and other NBCUniversal employees.
“’What if they don’t have a father? Why can’t I say that?’” Singer reportedly said, according to Williams. “’Most of them don’t.’”

Singer starred on all 13 seasons of RHONY before the series rebooted with a new cast.

In PnB Rock Murder, two new suspects are charged with robbery and helping suspect flee state
Two new suspects are facing charges in the robbery and killing of rapper PnB Rock, who was shot to death in September 2022 while dining at Roscoe’s House of Chicken & Waffles in South L.A, authorities said.
Tremont Jones was charged with two counts of robbery, conspiracy to rob the rapper and illegally possessing a firearm as a felon, according to a criminal complaint filed in September. Another suspect, Wynisha Evans, was charged with being an accessory after the fact.

Both Jones and Evans pleaded not guilty to the charges when they were arraigned at the Compton Courthouse last month, said Venusse Dunn, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
Authorities had arrested the pair in May in connection to PnB Rock’s killing. However, since charges had been filed in court as a separate case, apart from the main murder case, Jones and Evans remained largely unknown to the public. The new suspects’ charges were brought to light this week after Rolling Stone attended their most recent hearing in Compton on Monday.

PnB Rock, 30, whose legal name was Rakim Allen, had been dining at the Roscoe’s House of Chicken & Waffles location on Manchester Avenue with his girlfriend, Stephanie Sibounheuang, on Sept. 12 when a 17-year-old boy walked up to their table and demanded jewelry and other valuables, prosecutors alleged in court documents. The jewelry was valued at “several hundreds of thousands of dollars,” prosecutors said.

After Allen refused the teen’s demands, prosecutors alleged, the youth shot the seated rapper once in the chest, then twice more in the back. Seconds later, the teen allegedly threatened to shoot Sibounheuang in the head and took several pieces of jewelry off Allen’s body before fleeing the restaurant with his father, suspected getaway driver Freddie Lee Trone.

In the new court filings, prosecutors accused Jones of taking part in the plot to rob Allen. Jones allegedly met Trone at a parking lot near the Roscoe’s and talked for several minutes before handing Trone an object covered in a towel, which prosecutors allege was a firearm. Trone drove off and returned to the area to drop off his teen son, who was wearing a ski mask and armed with a gun, prosecutors alleged. Jones allegedly stuck around, eventually leaving a nearby parking lot as the teen made his way into the restaurant.

Evans was accused of fleeing with Trone after the shooting. She had known Trone since they were children, according to a recent court filing by the prosecution, and saw him as “a father figure” to her own son. After learning he was a suspect in the shooting, she reached out to Trone, prosecutors said in the filing. She allegedly rented a car and drove him from L.A. to Nevada “for safety,” the document said.

An FBI-led task force found Trone in Las Vegas within several weeks and arrested him in late September. He was extradited to California, where he was charged with murder, robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery. His son faced the same charges. Trone’s wife, Shauntel Trone, who is not related to his son, was charged also in late September with robbery and hiding Trone and his son at her home before their eventual arrests.

Jones remains incarcerated at Men’s Central Jail in downtown Los Angeles and is held on $1 million bail, according to county jail records. Evans was released last week on her own recognizance since her non-violent charge fell within the county’s new zero-bail policy. The court installed the policy in July after criticizing the cash bail system for disfavoring people who don’t have access to large amounts of money.

Jones, Evans and Trone are due in court for another hearing in December.
Philadelphia-born rapper PnB rock was known for his 2015 single “Fleek” and a hit song with Atlanta rapper YFN Lucci, “Everyday We Lit,” which cracked the Billboard Hot 100 in 2016. He also collaborated with other prominent artists, such as Ed Sheeran and Chance the Rapper.

Kyle Dean Massey and Taylor Frey are expanding their family! The Broadway stars just announced that they are expecting their second child via surrogate after welcoming their daughter Rafa into the world back in 2021.

Tyler Perry on Attempted BET Sale: Network ‘Not Worth Anywhere Near’ Asking Price
*In life, despite all the hoopla, some things are just too pricy for their own good. For Tyler Perry, that thing was BET Media Group, which he expressed interest in buying at one point and time

As the entertainment mogul is now sharing his thoughts on obtaining the network, the subject of price comes into the conversation.
“I was disappointed about it for a number of reasons,” Perry said recently as he commented publicly for the first time on why things didn’t work out in buying BET, calling the process “disrespectful.”

“The way it happened was disrespectful in a lot of ways,” he added. “Don’t try to get me to pay for something that’s not worth anywhere near the value.”
Perry’s remarks were made during an appearance at a Bloomberg summit on business equality, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. The appearance comes months after the Midea actor put his bid in to buy BET Media Group after Paramount Global put it on the market in March 2023. In addition to BET, BET+, BET Her, BET Digital, BET Studios, and VH1, Paramount Global owns a slew of media companies, including CBS, MTV, Nickelodeon, Showtime, and Paramount Picture, according to Urban Hollywood 411.

Despite its roster of networks, Paramount Global reportedly had other things in mind as its selling of BET came down to raising money “— while still maintaining a minority stake in the BET properties — and continuing a commercial relationship with the brand,” the site noted.

In addition to Perry, Byron Allen and Sean“Diddy” Combs voiced their respective interests in buying BET Media Group.
Although interest looked good for buying BET, the hype surrounding the sale was less than stellar, with the New York Post reporting in June that dwindling interest stemmed from investors balking at the “$3 billion-plus” asking price for the network.

In August, things continued to slip amid a report from the Wall Street Journal about Paramount letting potential buyers know it was taking BET Media Group off the market after lower-than-expected bids were coming in.
With Perry’s comments added to the mix, the question is was he right? Did Paramount Global make a mistake asking for too much to get BET?

Brett Favre’s Defamation Lawsuit Against Shannon Sharpe Has Been Dismissed

Well that’s GOOD NEWS! Brett Favre’s defamation lawsuit against Shannon Sharpe has been dismissed.
You may recall that Favre filed a defamation suit against Shannon, Pat McAfee, and Shad White claiming all three men defamed him while talking about this alleged role in the welfare funds scandal in Mississippi.

Brett Favre claims Shannon Sharpe made defamatory comments on FS1’s “Undisputed” by calling him a “sorry mofo to steal from the lowest of the low.”
On Monday, Shannon took to his Instagram page to share the United States District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi dismissed the defamation suit.

The suit was dismissed after the court found the statements made by Shannon were protected by the 1st amendment to the Constitution.

Shannon also thanked his legal team for their handling of the case.
Jemele Hill commented on Unc’s post writing, “You should have never been sued in the first place.”
I totally agree!
