#RHOA: Eva Marcille finalizes divorce from Michael Sterling
According to court documents obtained by Radar Online, the former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star and the attorney signed their settlement agreement on Aug. 3.
Both parties reportedly waived their right to alimony or spousal support. Additionally, Marcille, 38, did not ask Sterling, 39, to pay her child support.

“The parties agree that each has ample income and assets to support the Children in their respective homes,” read the doc per the outlet.
“Accordingly, the parties agree that neither shall pay direct child support to the other.”

The exes were also reportedly awarded their own respective retirement and bank accounts and worked on a private custody agreement for their two children – sons Michael, 5, and Maverick, 3.
It’s unclear whether that agreement included Marcille’s daughter, Marley Rae, 9, whom she shares with ex Kevin McCall. Sterling gave her his last name and helped raise her since she was 15 months old.
The model filed for divorce from Sterling in March after less than five years of marriage.

Marcille claimed their union was “irretrievably broken” and that “there are no prospects for a reconciliation,” per court documents obtained by Page Six at the time.
“This has been one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make, but sometimes life takes your journey in a direction you were not expecting,” she told People in a statement.

“Our children remain our biggest priority, and the eight and half years we have spent together will always be cherished. We ask that you respect our privacy at this time.”
After the divorce news surfaced, Sterling vowed to win his wife back.

“I am not going to lose my wife. I am going to fight for her with every fiber in my being,” the lawyer wrote in a statement obtained by Page Six.
“I love her and I plan to show her how much I love her and that our love is strong enough to get to the other side.”
Sterling concluded, “I am not going to lose my wife. I am going to win her back.”

The former Bravo star and Sterling got engaged on Christmas Day 2017 and tied the knot one year later in October 2018

While she has mostly kept mum about her split, she did recently open up about getting back into the dating pool.
“It is new, I’m almost a decade off the market, so it’s different, but my focus [is] my kids,” she shared on the “Big Tigger Morning Show” earlier this month.

“My focus is on me and doing me, and I like a little sprinkle of gifts and things too.”

#HipHopNews: Cardi B Says She's Going To Release Her Next Solo Single "Very Soon"
Vogue México revealed the cover feature for its September 2023 issue starring Cardi B. The Bronx-born rapper spoke about a multitude of subjects, including her Caribbean roots, the complexities of being a woman in the rap industry, foraying into fashion, and more.

In her conversation with the publication, Cardi opened up about the growing anticipation for her next project. She said, “I’m not going to release any more collaborations, I’m going to release my next solo single. Right now, I’m working on the cover art and ideas for the next record because it’s definitely coming up. Everyone always tells me I should put the record out now.”

She added, “They did when I released ‘WAP’ [with Megan Thee Stallion] and when I released ‘Up,’ but I always let them know I’m not going to wait long after all these singles. So stay tuned because it’s coming out very soon. I also have plans in the world of cinema. In fact, I have plans to do as much as I can: Fashion, branding… I want to do it all, honey.”

Following the announcement post on her Instagram, support poured in from fans and celebrities alike. Ice Spice commented heart-eye emojis, while Jason Lee, Rubi Rose, and more congratulated the “Hot S**t” artist.

Elsewhere in the interview, Cardi talked about working with designers such as Thom Browne, Thierry Mugler, and Michael Kors. The musician noted, “I’ve always felt that being a woman of color, and being someone who doesn’t come from a wealthy family or not being a nepobaby, it’s always going to be harder to get into the spaces that I want to be in. But I’m thankful that my love of fashion has taken me to all those places.”

She continued, “I have worked on myself to the point of constantly sitting next to Anna Wintour and having conversations with her. It’s an amazing thing. It’s something that’s in you, so when you do it right, you’re rewarded.”

Multiple people killed in 'racially motivated' shooting at Dollar General in Jacksonville Florida.
Shooter and Victims identified

Three people were killed in a "racially motivated" shooting at a Dollar General in Jacksonville, Florida, on Saturday, authorities said.

Authorities on Sunday identified the three victims shot and killed a day earlier in Jacksonville, Florida, in attack that is being investigated as a hate crime.
The victims were identified as Angela Carr, 52, Anolt Laguerre, Jr., 19 and Jerrald De'Shaun Gallion, 29.

Jacksonville Sheriff TK Waters on Sunday identified the shooter as 21-year-old Ryan Palmeter, a White man who authorities say took his life. Waters said that the gunman fired 11 rounds into a car, killing Carr. He then entered Dollar General and shot and killed Laguerre, before exiting and returning to kill Gallion.

The gunman was armed with an AR-15-style rifle and a handgun and outfitted in a tactical vest when he shot three people -- two men and a woman -- before turning the gun on himself, according to Waters. No other injuries were reported in the shooting.

"This is a dark day in Jacksonville's history," Waters said. "As a member of this Jacksonville community, I am sickened by this cowardly shooter's personal ideology of hate."

The suspect has not been officially identified at this time, Waters said, who described him as a white man in his early 20s. He acted alone and there is no evidence he was part of any group, the sheriff said.

The sheriff shared photos of the guns used in the shooting, one of which appeared to have swastikas on it

"We must do everything that we can to dissuade this type of hate," Jacksonville Mayor Donna Deegan told reporters. "I can't even be able to tell you how frustrating this is for all of us because we've seen it too much."
The suspect is believed to have lived in Clay County with his parents and texted his father before the shooting, the sheriff said.

"At 1:18 p.m. he texted his father and told his father to check his computer," Waters said. "At 1:53 p.m. the shooter's family members called the Clay County Sheriff's Office. By that time, he had already began shooting in Jacksonville."

Deegan noted the shooting comes exactly five years after a mass shooting that occurred at a video game tournament in Jacksonville, in which a gunman shot and killed two people and injured nearly a dozen others before killing himself. The suspect in the Dollar General shooting reportedly referenced that incident in his writings, the mayor said.

"This was a hate-filled crime. And we just shouldn't have that kind of hate in Jacksonville," Deegan said.
The incident prompted a heavy police presence on the city's westside.

Edward Waters University, a private historically Black Christian university, confirmed that a security officer engaged the suspect prior to the shooting when he appeared in the vicinity of the Centennial Library on campus. The suspect refused to identify themselves and was asked to leave, EWU said. The incident was reported to Jacksonville Sheriff's office by EWU.

EWU issued a public safety alert alerting students to the shooting, which occurred near its campus. Students were kept in their residence halls until the scene was cleared, the alert said.
The university also expressed its condolences over the shooting.

"EWU stands in opposition to hate-filled crimes against minorities and other targeted groups, and we are deeply impacted and will not condone these types of actions in our community," EWU said in a statement.

Jacksonville Councilwoman Ju'Coby Pittman told ABC Jacksonville affiliate WJXX how the tragedy impacted the community.
"This is a tragic moment. My heart is heavy," Pittman said. "The people in this community, they're hurting -- and they have every right to. This makes no sense. I am very, very angry right now."

"It's unjust that we can't even walk on the sidewalk because we're not safe in any stores," she continued.

The FBI Jacksonville field office is assisting, according to an FBI Jacksonville spokesperson. The incident is being investigated by the FBI as a hate crime, an official said.
"The FBI Jacksonville Field Office is coordinating with the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida on the tragic shooting in Jacksonville, Florida. The FBI has opened a federal civil rights investigation and we will pursue this incident as a hate crime. The FBI will bring every resource to bear in this investigation. As this is an ongoing matter, we are not able to provide additional information at this time," the FBI said in a statement.

Homeland security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said he's spoken to the Mayor of Jacksonville and has offered resources to the city.
"Too many Americans – in Jacksonville and across our country – have lost a loved one because of racially-motivated violence. The Department of Homeland Security is committed to working with our state and local partners to help prevent another such abhorrent, tragic event from occurring," Mayorkas said in a statement.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis called the shooting a "very cowardly act."
"This shooting based on the manifesto that they discovered from the scumbag that did this was racially motivated," he said in a video statement. "He was targeting people based on their race. That is totally unacceptable."

The Anti-Defamation League condemned the attack, which occurred as the 60th anniversary of the March on Washington, a prominent moment in the Civil Rights Movement, was being marked in Washington, D.C.

"That this attack occurred while tens of thousands gathered in our nation's capital for the 60th anniversary of the March on Washington, serves as a painful reminder of how much work needs to be done to realize Dr. King's Dream," the ADL said in a statement.

Rev. Al Sharpton, Martin Luther King, III, Arndrea Waters King issued a joint statement with Jonathan Greenblatt, CEO of ADL.
"This hate is abhorrent, detestable, beyond humanity, and must be condemned by all. We all need to come together in solidarity in standing up to the evils of white supremacy and intolerance of all forms. Such bigotry should have no place in our society. And it is a reminder that the hate-fueled violence that Dr. King called out sixty years ago and that we condemned today from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, aren't antiquated concerns, but remain a clear and present danger that threatens us all," the statement said.

#RIP: Bob Barker, The Price Is Right Legend, Has DIED at 99
Bob Barker, legendary The Price Is Right host, has died at the age of 99, confirmed by his publicist Roger Neal to Vulture. Neal released a statement reflecting on Barker’s legacy in American television, “It is with profound sadness that we announce that the World’s Greatest MC who ever lived, Bob Barker has left us.” CBS remembered Barker as a “beloved member” of their broadcast family in a statement to Vulture: “During his 35 years as host of The Price Is Right, Bob made countless people’s dreams come true and everyone feel like a winner when they were called to ‘come on down.’ In addition to his legendary 50-year career in broadcasting, Bob will be remembered as a dedicated animal rights activist. Daytime television has lost one of its most iconic stars.”

Barker first began his career in radio, working in Missouri and Florida before eventually finding his way to California to host The Bob Barker Show in Burbank. After hearing Barker’s unique ability to connect with his listeners on the air, game show producer Ralph Edwards hired him to pivot to on-screen work and host Truth or Consequences in 1956, paving the way for the rest of his career. It wasn’t until 1972 when he joined his most notable project that made him a game show legend: the revival of The Price Is Right. As host for 35 years, Barker was welcomed into the televisions of millions of Americans — especially those who were sick at home — and helped shape the program into becoming one of the most beloved game shows of all time.

Not every experience on The Price Is Right was a positive one. In 1994, long-time model Dian Parkinson sued Barker for sexual harassment and alleged she was forced to have sex with Barker out of fear of losing her job. She eventually dropped the suit in 1995, explaining that it was too costly and took a toll on her mental health. Barker did admit to the relationship by describing it as engaging in “hanky panky” but claimed it was consensual.

After hosting 6,586 episodes (and only missing one day of taping in his career as host), Barker retired from the program in 2007, with Drew Carey succeeding him. During his time on The Price Is Right, Barker publicly renounced hair dye, becoming one of the few television hosts with naturally gray hair. Inspired by his late wife and high school sweetheart Dorothy Jo Gideon, he was a vegetarian and an advocate for animal rights, ending every episode with “This is Bob Barker reminding you to help control the pet population — have your pets spayed or neutered.” He made several appearances since his departure, including an April Fools prank in 2015.

Barker never remarried after the death of his wife in 1981. However, he did find companionship again with his friend Nancy Burnet, and were together for 40 years. In a statement, Burnet said, “I am so proud of the trailblazing work Barker, and I did together to expose the cruelty to animals in the entertainment industry and including working to improve the plight of abused and exploited animals in the United States and internationally.  We were great friends over these 40 yrs. he will be missed.”

Beyonce Stops Show Due To Audio Snafu At 'Renaissance' Tour's Arizona Stop

Beyonce Knowles has stopped her show due to technical problems. During her "Renaissance" tour stop in Arizona, the "Break My Soul" hitmaker left her fans amazed as she handled the audio snafu like a pro.

In the middle of her performance onstage at State Farm Stadium in Glendale on Thursday, August 24, the 41-year-old songstress decided to leave the stage and paused her performance for a few minutes after learning there were technical problems with the audio. Not long after that, the lights in the stadium were off and a number of her backup dancers followed her backstage.

Before the audio snafu, Queen Bey, who looked stunning in a sparkling silver outfit, was dancing on the stage along with the group of dancers. Once she started holding her microphone close to her mouth and singing, the mic stopped working. Her fans could not hear her voice and they began to mumble. Despite the difficulties, she handled the situation professionally by making her way out of the stage with a few dance moves.

After the problems were taken care of, the Billboard Music Award winner left the concertgoers amazed by appearing back on stage with a whole different get-up. "You know, there's certain nights when the crowd is so loud that so much charge makes the power go out," she told the concertgoers, prompting them to applaud.

About what happened later on, one of the concertgoers recalled in a tweet, "After an audio issue stopped the show, Beyonce has returned to perform 'ALIEN SUPERSTAR' again AND has also completed a costume change, debuting a brand new look!" In the clip that was attached in it, Beyonce could be seen sporting a different silver ensemble that came with a pair of butterfly wings on her back.

It did not take long for the tweet to be flooded with online responses. In the replies section, one X user suggested, "This makes me think it was part of the show and not an actual mishap since she changed into another outfit from the previous one. If she didn't come back with the new outfit it would have been an actual mishap."

Sandra Bullock So Thankful For 'Incredible' Support After Bryan Randall's Death
Sandra Bullock thanks for the outpouring of support following the death of her long-time partner Bryan Randall. The photographer died on August 5, aged 57, after a three-year battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), and Sandra has been overwhelmed by the recent support.

The Hollywood star has "seen the incredible outpouring of support toward ALS research since Bryan's passing," a source told PEOPLE.

The insider added, "It was very important to her that when she and his family made the initial statement of Bryan's passing, those who were on this journey with her and Bryan, from the beginning, were recognised - with the Healey Center at Mass General leading the way. She is so grateful to all those who have donated and is happy that out of something so heartbreaking came something so positive for others."

Randall's family announced his death earlier this month. They said at the time, "It is with great sadness that we share that on August 5, Bryan Randall passed away peacefully after a three-year battle with ALS. Bryan chose early to keep his journey with ALS private and those of us who cared for him did our best to honour his request."

ALS is a type of motor neuron disease, and is also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.
Randall's family added, "We are immensely grateful to the tireless doctors who navigated the landscape of this illness with us and to the astounding nurses who became our roommates, often sacrificing their own families to be with ours. At this time we ask for privacy to grieve and to come to terms with the impossibility of saying goodbye to Bryan."

Steve Harvey seemingly fires social media manager amid divorce rumors

He seemingly fired his social media manager over a negative tweet regarding comedians and is now having to hear rumors about wife Marjorie Bridges cheating on him.
Harvey, 66, shared a video Friday night suggesting he fired his social media manager after they posted a tweet urging followers to name a comedian that does not make them laugh.

"Somebody that works for me on my Twitter put a statement out that was totally negative. I gotta take responsibility for it 'cause they work for me, but the engagement was talking about 'name a comedian you don't think is funny.' Why would I do something like that?" Harvey said. "That don't even make no damn sense.

"My whole brand is to be motivational, and I'mma turn around a say something like that? You don't know where these young people [are] at in they career, man. They could be coming up or anything. I'm all about positivity; I would've never done nothing like that."

Harvey confronted the employee, who told him he needed more engagement, and the comedian joked that now somebody needs "employment."
Steve Harvey's wife cheated on him?

The following morning, false reports about Bridges "seeking divorce after she was reportedly caught having an extramarital affair with their chef and bodyguard" flooded the internet.

Ned Nwoko, a Nigerian businessman who described himself as Harvey's friend, dispelled the cheating rumors, saying the TV personality told him they were false.

"Fake news has been taken to new heights all over the world and this is so unfortunate," Nwoko wrote. "We experience this practically everyday and so when we read about our friend Steve Harvey and his lovely wife having issues, we had to contact Him and He confirmed that he and his wife are very much okay and it's all fake news and should be disregarded. The family is happy together and we wish them all the best."

Steve and Marjorie married in 2007. Neither party has yet to publicly address the baseless allegations.

Luis Rubiales suspended by FIFA for 90 days, pending full investigation, for actions at World Cup
FIFA announced Saturday, after he forcibly kissed Jenni Hermoso at the 2023 Women's World Cup last Sunday. Rubiales won't be allowed to partake in any football-related activities at the national and international levels during his initial suspension, which is still pending a full disciplinary investigation that began Friday.

FIFA also ordered Rubiales and the Spanish soccer federation (RFEF) to not contact — either personally or through a third party — Hermoso.
"FIFA reiterates its absolute commitment to respect the integrity of all persons and therefore condemns with the utmost vigour any behaviour to the contrary," FIFA said in a statement.

Rubiales kissed Hermoso on the lips soon after Spain won the World Cup last week, an act that Hermoso said was nonconsensual. Rubiales was also seen grabbing his crotch after the final whistle blew. Rubiales later apologized for his actions, though he said the kiss with Hermoso was mutual and not malicious.

He then told an emergency federation session Friday he would not resign from his position despite multiple calls for him to step down. One Spanish men's national team player announced he wouldn't play for his country until Rubiales faced punishment, and the entire Spanish women's team said it wouldn't play until Rubiales resigned.

The RFEF, meanwhile, claim Hermoso lied about her actions that day and did consent to the kiss.
"The RFEF and Mr. President will demonstrate each of the lies that are spread either by someone on behalf of the player or, if applicable, by the player herself," the federation said in a statement. "The RFEF and the President, given the seriousness of the content of the press release from the Futpro union, will initiate the corresponding legal actions."

But for now, Rubiales will be away from Spanish soccer for a few months while FIFA continues its investigation.

Bill Murray and Kelis Have Broken Up: Report

Ah, as summer comes to a close, so do its flings. Or at least that’s the lesson Bill Murray is learning, according to a new report from The Sun, which claims that the 72-year-old actor has been “dumped” by his 44-year-old summer lover, Kelis.

News that Murray and Kelis were dating first broke earlier this summer, when The Sun reported in June that the two had been “getting close for a while.” Now, though, their romance has come to an end, with a source telling The Sun that “things just ran their course.”

Thankfully though, the Ghostbusters star and the “Milkshake” singer are keeping things amicable. The source clarified that they “were — and still are — very fond of each other,” but the logistics of their lives and careers made things too difficult to keep up. “They both have busy schedules and, after a whirlwind romance, decided to go their separate ways,” the source said. “They hope to remain friends, but also plan to get on with their lives.”

The two first connected after a chance encounter, and reportedly bonded following the death of Kelis’ second husband, photographer Mike Mora, who passed away from stomach cancer in March 2022.

After getting together, Murray was spotted at Kelis’ shows in London, with sources claiming that they were sharing hotel rooms. Both have been hesitant to confirm anything to the public, though, with Kelis only making allusions to the affair online… until recently, that is.

When one fan asked if Kelis “would care to address” the dating rumors, she replied: “lol no babe, I wouldn’t bother at all.” In another reply, Kelis furthered the ambiguity, writing: “Everyone’s dumb and will believe anything, but the best part is we are both blessed, rich, and happy.”

It appears that Kelis has become more willing to discuss the “romance” this week, though, perhaps because of its termination. When asked by an Instagram user on Friday, August 25th, if she was “really dating” Murray, she replied: “ugh, no!”

So, were they even together in the first place? We might not ever know. But what we do know is that they’re both single, and could maybe get some use out of Selena Gomez’ new single, “Single Soon.”

ASAP Rocky teases name of second child with Rihanna
ASAP Rocky is excited to reveal the name of his second child, reportedly a baby boy, with Rihanna. However, he is not ready to share the moniker with the world just yet.

The rapper was seen leaving a restaurant in West Hollywood earlier this week. He was displaying his stylish wardrobe and looked to be in a great mood as he got into the back of his car. When asked about the baby’s name on Wednesday (Aug. 23) night by TMZ, the famous artist stopped himself from letting the secret slip. He smiled and stated that the moniker would be revealed soon.

Rocky and Rihanna reportedly welcomed their second baby boy on Aug. 3 in Los Angeles, but kept the newborn’s name under wraps. All fans know is that it is rumored to start with an “R,” showcasing a theme. Their first son is RZA Athelston Mayers, born on May 13, 2022. He is named after the famous Wu-Tang Clan member.

Baby RZA’s name was kept a secret for nearly a year before it was revealed in early May. When the Wu-Tang icon was asked how he felt about the namesake, he stated that it was a “great honor.”
Rihanna broke the news of her second pregnancy on the Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show when she showed her baby bump to the world. Fans were both surprised and excited by the news of tiny tot number two.

The Grammy Award-winning artist was asked about her journey through motherhood in an interview with British Vogue earlier this year. She responded by saying the first nine months were “legendary.”
“It’s everything. You really don’t remember life before; that’s the craziest thing ever… You literally try to remember it — and there are photos of my life before — but the feeling, the desires, the things that you enjoy, everything, you just don’t identify with it because you don’t even allow yourself mentally to get that far because … it doesn’t matter,” she told the publication.

'The Blind Side' producers reveal payments to Tuohys and Michael Oher

The Blind Side producers are speaking out for the first time since Michael Oher accused the Tuohys of withholding his portion of earnings from the film.
The payouts to Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy and Oher were detailed by the co-founders and co-CEOs of Alcon Entertainment, Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove, “Today” reports.

The co-founders denied the accusations that they paid the Tuohys millions for the film. It was stated that the family was paid approximately $700,000 to be split among themselves. This was reportedly after Alcon Entertainment paid the talent agency of the Tuohy family and Oher $767,000. Presumably, Oher received his commission before the payment went through to the agency.

Oher filed a petition to end his conservatorship on Monday, Aug. 14, claiming he signed because he thought they were adoption papers. The former NFL star said he found out six months ago that the papers made the Tuohys his conservators rather than his adoptive parents.
However, the Tuohys’ lawyers claimed he was always aware it was not a legal adoption, as he mentioned the conservatorship in his 2011 memoir, “I Beat The Odds: From Homelessness, to The Blind Side, and Beyond.”

During a new Aug. 21 court filing, Oher accused the Tuohys of keeping almost 20 years worth of financial information from him. He asked that they provide a full accounting of their earnings from the 2009 movie.

Johnson and Kosove are speaking out because they feel Oher’s lawsuit caused media reports to mislead others about the film. They stated that many trustworthy individuals have spoken about the Tuohys raising and loving Oher as their own son.

Per the outlet, the pair also shared that the deal with Twentieth Century Fox was tailored to the rights at the time of the film. It did not include any notable payouts in the event of the movie’s possible success. Therefore, the Tuohys were not paid millions over Oher.

The producers stated that Michael Oher and the Tuohy family will continue to receive contractual payments for the movie.

Cause Of Bronny James’ Cardiac Arrest Revealed
The cause of Bronny James’ sudden and scary cardiac arrest incident last month has been revealed
A spokesperson for the James family spoke to People, revealing that the 18-year-old son of NBA star LeBron James has a Congenital Heart Defect. According to a statement, the defect is treatable.

“After a comprehensive initial evaluation at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center led by Dr. Merije Chukumerije and follow-up evaluations at the Mayo Clinic led by Dr. Michael J. Ackerman and Atlantic Health/Morristown Medical Center led by Dr. Matthew W. Martinez, the probable cause of Mr. James’ sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) has been identified,” the statement read.

Bronny is expected to make a full recovery and continue his basketball career.
“We are very confident in Bronny’s full recovery and return to basketball in the very near future,” it continued. “We will continue to provide updates to media and respectfully reiterate the family’s request for privacy.”

The basketball star went into cardiac arrest during a basketball workout at the University of Southern California’s Galen Center last month. He was released from Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles three days later.

Carlos Santana Apologizes for Anti-trans Comments – Next Minute He Deletes Apology

Carlos Santana faced criticism on Thursday when a video of the musician making anti-transgender comments during a concert in New Jersey in July resurfaced on social media.
“When God made you and me, before we came out of the womb, you know who you are and what you are,” the guitarist is seen saying in the clip.

He continued, “Later on when you grow up, and you see things and you start believing that you could be something that sounds good but you know it ain’t right because a woman is a woman and a man is a man — that’s it.”

“Whatever you wanna do in the closet, that’s your business, I’m OK with that,” Santana added, before mentioning his closeness to his “brother Dave Chapelle,” who also faced criticism for anti-LGBTQ comments made in his 2021 Netflix comedy special “The Closer.”

The criticism Santana faced on Thursday prompted the “Smooth” musician to release a statement on his Facebook page, where he wrote, “I am sorry for my insensitive comments.”

“They don’t reflect that I want to honor and respect all person’s (sic) ideals and beliefs. I realize that what I said hurt people and that was not my intent. I sincerely apologize to the transgender community and everyone I offended,” his statement continued.

Santana went on to mention that his “personal goal” is to “honor and respect all person’s (sic) ideals and beliefs whether they are LGBTQ or not. This is the planet of free will and we have all been given this gift. I will now pursue this goal to be happy and have fun, and for everyone to believe what they want and follow in your hearts without fear.”
“It takes courage to grow and glow in the light that you are and to be true, genuine, and authentic. We grow and learn to shine our light with Love and compliments,” he concluded.

HOWEVER … on Friday, Santana replaced his apology post with another one that read, “The energy of consciousness generates its own kind. hate begets hate love begets love.”

Santana’s controversial comments come during a record-shattering year for anti-LGBTQ legislation in the United States, with over 400 bills having been introduced in state legislatures since the start of the year – a new record, according to American Civil Liberties Union data as of April.

Education and healthcare-related bills, in particular, have swept through state legislatures at unprecedented levels, with a renewed push to ban access to gender-affirming health care for transgender youth and a heavy focus on regulating curriculum in public schools, including discussions around gender identity and sexuality.
