#RHOA: Kenya Moore Accuses Marc Daly of Only Seeing Daughter Twice in Two Years
Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore has 99 problems and Marc Daly is all of them. It sucks when you wait so long to find a man or rent a man, and he turns out to be … like Marc.
These two have been in court for what amounts to an eternity at this point. Despite never being around, Marc wants a piece of Moore Manor. He also wants Kenya to be held in contempt because their daughter was in close proximity to an RHOA argument. Well, Kenya had her say, and she didn’t hold back. Radar has the details.
Deadbeat dad?
As Marc tries to get Kenya held in contempt, Kenya left no crumbs as she ate him up for lunch. Court documents show Kenny let loose and revealed Marc is a “FaceTime” father. She also said he has only seen their daughter, Brooklyn Daly a couple of times over the course of two years.
This comes on the heels of Marc accusing Kenya of violating a court order. Kenya is supposed to let Marc know when Brooklyn appears on camera. Apparently, she forgot when Brooklyn appeared on RHOA and shot a pizza commercial.
Additionally, Marc said Kenya would sabotage his FaceTime calls to Brooklyn and said he only spoke with her twice in June. But Kenya was not having any of it. She denies being in violation of any court order and said Marc was fully aware of the pizza commercial.
Regarding the RHOA scene, Kenya shared Brooklyn was asleep and the whole thing was handled without haste. Then she bashed Marc for having the audacity to imply she interferes with his FaceTime calls.
Her motion read, “Mother and Father had an established scheduled time daily to call the child. In an attempt to create issues, Father began to erratically change the times that he wanted to call on a whelm. He did this for the purpose of attempting to create an issue. Mother has implored Father to be consistent with his calls, which he refuses to do. Nevertheless, Father has been random in his behavior and unwilling to stick to the established schedule.”
Kenya is just getting warmed up …
Then Kenya clocked Marc for visiting his kid. He lives in New York and came to Atlanta twice – both times she asked him to come by and see Brooklyn and both times he neglected to do so. Kenya “actually paid for and traveled with the child to New York on the two occasions where [Daly] did see the child.”
The motion continued to level Marc. “In both instances, the mother, on her own expense, took the child to see the father,” it stated. “In his failed attempt to have this Court and the public believe otherwise, the evidence will show that Father is simply a “FaceTime” Father, who is inconsistent with even talking to his child at best.”
Kenya has tried to settle, but Marc appears to be the Energizer Bunny of litigation. The divorce is going to trial in the next two weeks.

Female rappers are getting their turn in upcoming Netflix docuseries Ladies First: A Story of Women In Hip-Hop. Premiering on August 9, the 4-part special – executive produced by dream hampton, Troy Carter, Raeshem Nijhon, Carri Twigg, MC Lyte, Nicole Galovski, Justin Simien, and Jennifer Ryan – features the stories of female rappers both pioneering and contemporary.
Seen in the one-minute trailer are Latifah, MC Lyte, Roxanne Shanté, Remy Ma, Yo-Yo, Da Brat, Tierra Whack, Bahamadia, Monie Love, Kash Doll, Saweetie, Latto, and more. This week, Latto became the first rapper this year to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 due to her feature on Jung Kook single “Seven.”
“We will always be stronger together than we are apart,” Latifah says towards the trailer’s end. “That’s just how it is.”
Ladies First marks Netflix’s latest hip-hop feature, as the streamer has presented docuseries like Hip-Hop Evolution and Rapture in the past. In 2017, Netflix premiered a music biopic about Shanté, titled Roxanne Roxanne.

U.K. Court Finds Actor Kevin Spacey Not Guilty Of Sexually Assaulting Four Men
Kevin Spacey was found not guilty Wednesday of sexually assaulting four men, capping off a monthlong high-profile case in the British capital at which he and all of his accusers testified.
Spacey, 64, wiped tears away after the jury verdict was delivered at London’s Southwark Crown Court. Placing his hand on his chest, he looked at the jurors and mouthed “thank you” twice before they left the room.
Spacey, who won an Oscar for best actor in the 1999 film “American Beauty,” said outside the court that he was “humbled” by the jurors’ decision and “enormously grateful” to them “for having taken their time and care to analyze the evidence.”
The charges, including sexual assault, related to allegations going back two decades. During the trial, prosecutor Christine Agnew characterized Spacey, who was identified in court by his full name, Kevin Spacey Fowler, as a “sexual bully” who aggressively grabbed men by the crotch and “delights in making others feel powerless and uncomfortable.”
The jury of three women and nine men was also told Spacey grabbed one man’s crotch “like a cobra” when he was the artistic director of London’s Old Vic Theatre in the mid-2000s after an alleged “barrage of vile comments.”
An aspiring actor also told the court of an alleged incident in the late 2000s in which “things went further” — claiming he woke up to find Spacey performing a sex act on him.
Spacey, who took the stand this month, said that he did perform oral sex on one of the accusers but that it was consensual.
He also described one of the men’s claims as “madness” and said another alleged assault was a “clumsy pass.” He contested the evidence of a third complainant, saying any “romantic” touching was consensual.
The charges dated from 2004 to 2013, when Spacey was the Old Vic’s artistic director. He faced seven counts of sexual assault, one of causing a person to engage in sexual activity without consent and one of causing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity.
None of the four complainants can be named, as they are afforded lifelong anonymity under English law.
During the trial, Spacey mentioned a number of famous names, telling the jury that he had given a pingpong table to Dame Judi Dench after they worked on a movie together. Elton John was also called as a defense witness.
Prosecutors said in a statement that they “respect” the decision of the court and that it was “the role of the jury to consider the charges and we respect the decision of the court.”

Knowles cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.

Confirming the news to PEOPLE, the pair have shared first pictures of their newborn baby, whose name and sex they've chosen to withhold. "There's life before being a parent, and then there's life being a parent. It completely changes," LaKeith said in an interview published on Wednesday, July 26. He gushed about his life as a husband and a father, "We've manifested this beautiful family. I want to spend the rest of my life with her."

As previously reported, Jason Aldean is under fire over his latest single, “Try That In A Small Town,” and its accompanying video, which featured a lot of imagery that many deemed as racist. Notably, it projected footage from the 2020 Black Lives Matter protests onto Columbia, Tennessee’s Maury County Courthouse, where a Black teen named Henry Choate was lynched in the 1920s — all as the Georgia artist sang about what he would do if unnamed individuals were to “cross that line.” That building was also the site of the infamous Columbia Race Riot two decades later.
“Got a gun that my granddad gave me, they say one day they’re gonna round up, well, that s**t might fly in the city, good luck, try that in a small town, see how far ya make it down the road,” Aldean said in the clip, which has since been pulled from CMT‘s regular rotation.

Jay Jenkins, better known to the world as Jeezy, has never shied away from talking about his life in his music. But for the Grammy-nominated, BET Award-winning, platinum-selling hip-hop artist, this next project might be his most personal.
The famed artist is letting the public in on his childhood as a military brat, struggles growing up in Georgia and career in the music industry in his new book, “Adversity for Sale: Ya Gotta Believe.”
In the memoir, which is Jenkins’s first book, he opens up about the adversities he faced in his personal life, and the lessons he learned that enabled his success as a rapper and businessman.
Perhaps most importantly, Jenkins, 45, writes about the role of music in his life and how it helped him become the man he is today.
“I just always loved music,” the Atlanta-based artist told Yahoo News in a sit-down interview. “When I was coming up, I loved the Master P’s, the 8Ball and MJGs, Da Brat. My thing was to listen to music before I went to school every morning. A lot of people would listen to it because they liked it. I would listen to it because I was learning things from it. So those were my books, because I hated reading back then.”

“And when I stumbled upon Tupac,” Jenkins continued, “that was a game changer because now you got somebody that you listening to, that actually has values and morals and he stands for something. I ain’t never seen no shit like that.”
‘Nobody was coming to save us’
Jenkins was born in Columbia, S.C., and spent time growing up in Hawkinsville, a central Georgia town southeast of Atlanta. He later relocated to Okinawa, Japan, because of his father, who was in the military.
In the book, Jenkins talks about what traveling away from the hood meant to him.
“[The military] showed me that there was a world out there that I ain’t see in my neighborhood. So when I came back [to Georgia], when my parents got divorced, I was trying to convince my friends that there [were] beaches; we had never seen beaches, we had never seen palm trees. We had never seen another race of people [other than Black and white].”
Even though a life of struggle was all he knew, he had a bigger vision for himself. “I always wanted to do business. All my people had factory jobs, nine-to-fives that was paying minimum wage or people working for people, like my mother was cleaning somebody’s house. I wanted anything that was going to put me on another level, so that I can create jobs for my people, because that’s how I felt, like nobody was coming to save us.”
Music or nothing
As Jenkins grew older, he got into the trap game (selling drugs), where he was making hundreds of thousands of dollars. He tells astonishing stories of dropping thousands each week in Magic City, a popular strip club in Atlanta, alongside cultural icons like Big Meech.
But Jenkins’s relentless work ethic and grind set him apart. He stayed in the studio and eventually started investing more money into his music.
“I just knew that there wasn’t no other way if I didn’t figure it out,” he said. “I was going to end up in prison or probably dead like the rest of my friends.
“A lot of my music ... was me just wanting to be heard. I was writing my music as if I wasn’t gonna be there anymore. So I was like, ‘This better be the best I ever said.’ And so that’s what ‘Trap or Die’ and ‘Thug Motivation’ [released in 2003 and 2005, respectively] was, because I was preparing myself for the worst and when it popped, I understood, and now I was like, ‘OK, I gotta sustain this.’ So I just carried that same energy into all my next projects.”
“L.A.” Reid at Def Jam Recordings, of which Reid was chairman. Once Jenkins performed for the music mogul in his office, Reid told him: “Young Jeezy, whatever you were doing before you came in here today, you don’t have to do it anymore. We’ve got you from here,” according to the memoir.
Jenkins attributes a lot of his success to DJs playing his music when he was an up-and-comer, and gave a big shout-out to the late DJ Nando, who would spin his records at Magic City.
Known as Young Jeezy at the time, Jenkins signed to Def Jam in 2004, and his major-label debut album, “Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101,” was released the following year. It debuted on the Billboard 200 at No. 2, selling 172,000 copies in its first week and receiving a platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of America.
‘You got to believe’
The title of Jenkins’s book has special meaning for the rap artist and now author.
“You got to believe,” he said. “You got to believe, at all times, [that] you can bounce back. You got to believe at all times that you can get it done.”
The book is available for preorder and officially drops on Aug. 8. Jenkins said those who plan to listen in via audiobook will hear his voice narrating the memoir.
'RuPaul's Drag Race' Star Adore Delano Comes Out as Transgender
Adore Delano is proudly coming out. On Wednesday night (July 26), the 33-year-old RuPaul’s Drag Race season six finalist and American Idol contestant, came out as transgender in an emotional video documenting her journey.
“I wanted to let everybody know that I am transitioning, and I kept it really of hush-hush the first three months because I wanted to go through the beginning stages of the puberty privately,” Adore shared in a video posted on Instagram, in which she also opened up about being sober for the last two years. “I’ve found that it’s been very enlightening and has made me probably the happiest I’ve ever been in my adult life.”
Adore went on to recall her journey from “dysphoria to euphoria” and feeling like she born in the wrong body. She also talked about coming out as bisexual at age 12 before coming out as gay, and then revealing to her mom in high school that she was transgender.
“I came out to my mom as transgender,” Adore explained. “I didn’t know the words for that. I just told my mom ‘I’m not a boy, I’m a girl. I want to live my life as a girl.’ And I’m so blessed to have a mom, especially in the subculture that I grew up in, that was so understanding. She was so understanding with everything and she said, ‘Let’s figure it out and get you through school and know how to put ‘em up and fight when you need to.’”
However, when she auditioned for season seven of American Idol in 2008, she decided to “suppress everything.”
“I threw it away, I burned it. I reinvented myself into something that was so uncomfortable,” Adore recalled. “It was almost like a sacrifice in order to get what I wanted career-wise. It made sense to me at the time, as a 16-year-old, and then I got on the show, and that carried on in the story on Drag Race.”
After being eliminated from Idol, Adore went to living life in a “more femme-presenting” way and fell in love with the transformational power of drag.
“I’m living in my world now, and it feels so empowering, and it feels so good,” Adore said. “It feels so liberating.”
Adore went on to reveal that she’s going to be undergoing surgery in November, saying that she’s “probably going to look a little different,” before adding that she’ll be taking a few months off at the beginning of 2024 for “some major surgeries” as well.
“I am transgender,” Adore concluded. “I’m going by she/her. They still feels a little cute, but she/her just feels yummy on this cupcake.”

The joint success of two inexplicably linked movies—fueled in part by a social-media driven “Barbenheimer” craze and a massive marketing campaign by Barbie—were part of a $311 million weekend at the domestic box office, making it the fourth biggest weekend at the domestic box office of all time. It was also the biggest movie weekend since April 2019, when Avengers: End Game’s $357 million domestic opening brought the U.S. box office over $400 million on the weekend.

$214.5 million. That’s how much Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania has grossed in the U.S. since its release in February—a number Barbie could cross as soon as this week. Gerwig’s fantasy comedy is also inching toward Disney’s live-action reboot of The Little Mermaid, which has made $296.2 million domestically, as well as a pair of superhero sequels, including Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 ($358.9 million) and Sony’s Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse ($375.8 million).

With a $162 million opening weekend at the U.S. box office—the biggest of the year so far—Barbie beat out 2019’s Captain Marvel, co-directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, for the title of biggest domestic opening for a movie directed by a female director. Captain Marvel made $153.43 million in its opening weekend, and has since gone on to gross nearly $427 million domestically.
Stars to Honor Quincy Jones at 90th Birthday Tribute at Hollywood Bowl
*A star-studded musical tribute to music legend Quincy Jones will go down at the Hollywood Bowl on July 28 and 29.
The legendary music producer turned 90 in March, and the celebration will continue with the two-day concert series titled “Quincy Jones’ 90th-Birthday Tribute: A Musical Celebration.” As Urban Hollywood 411 reports, the event will feature Jennifer Hudson, H.E.R., Patti Austin, Angélique Kidjo, Ibrahim Maalouf, Tori Kelly, BJ The Chicago Kid, Alfredo Rodriguez, Sheléa, Samara Joy and Siedah Garrett, the Hollywood Bowl announced in a recent press release.
“It’s an honor to be able to celebrate my 90th year on this planet with all-a-y’awl at the Hollywood Bowl, with some of my most treasured friends, musicians and songs,” Quincy Jones said in a statement. “Thank-Q for keeping the music playing with and for me, and I can’t wait to see you all there!”
The artists will perform some of Jones’ best-selling songs, such as Michael Jackson’s “P.Y.T.” and “Thriller.”

Directed by Blitz Bazawule, the upcoming movie musical follows the classic 1985 film adaptation from Spielberg and centers on Celie, a Black Southern woman who struggles to find her identity amid decades of abuse. Whoopi Goldberg played Celie in Spielberg’s film.
Spielberg’s film was a box office success, grossing $142 million against a budget of $15 million.
The cast of the reboot includes Taraji P. Henson as Shug Avery, Danielle Brooks as Sofia, Corey Hawkins as Harpo, singer H.E.R. as Squeak (originally played by Rae Dawn Chong in Spielberg’s film), Ciara will play Nettie, the younger sister of Celie, who will be portrayed by Fantasia, Entertainment Weekly reports. Grammy-winner Jon Batiste, per Deadline, “will make his big-screen acting debut as Grady, a debonair, sweet-talking piano man who is the epitome of charm and eloquence and husband of Shug Avery. Bennet Guillory played the role in the 1985 feature,” the outlet writes.
The highly-anticipated musical also stars Halle Bailey and Colman Domingo.
As reported by Variety, the forthcoming Warner Bros. movie is an adaptation of the Tony-winning Broadway musical by Marsha Norman, Brenda Lee, Allee Willis and Stephen Bray, which was based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Alice Walker.

The two brands have collaborated to give mustard lovers all over the U.S. a new French’s Mustard Skittles flavor as well as a chance to win a free fun-sized packet through three pop-ups and an online sweepstakes while supplies last.
“With the yellow holiday landing on August 5th, we knew we had to outdo ourselves.
