#MAGFAB: Glamour UK(Digital Issue), May 2023, Rita Ora
Rita Ora and I didn’t get off to a great start. She’s spent six months thinking I’ve ignored her WhatsApp message. We had met in November at last year’s GLAMOUR Women Of The Year Awards where she won her third GLAMOUR Award, this time for Entertainer. She was sitting at my table. I liked her instantly. As a cynical Northerner, I’m not that easily charmed, but she was effusive, warm, cheeky, fun and surprisingly earnest, genuinely thrilled to be winning another GLAMOUR Award, “because GLAMOUR has championed me from day one and I haven’t forgotten that.”
We’d exchanged numbers. She’d apparently WhatsApped me the next day to say “Thanks”, but sent it to the wrong number. “But I saw the tick had gone blue,” she laughed. “I thought you’d ignored me!” As if I would. I giggle to myself at the thought that someone random unknowingly has a WhatsApp message on their phone from Rita Ora. I thought she’d just been polite asking for my number, never to be heard from again.

The fact she’d WhatsApp to thank me personally for an award, reveals a not-often seen show of manners and down-to-earthness from a star of her calibre, but which I’m starting to realise is classic Rita. All alongside an underlying steeliness, determination to succeed and an innate confidence that I’m curious about; I wonder what her parents did right and how can I infuse my young daughters with it?
We meet in her hotel suite and she welcomes me like an old friend. Her fridge is stacked with her own mini health food shop; CBD drops, bone broth packets, mushroom health snacks. At 32, she tells me she’s in the best shape of her life, doing reformer Pilates twice a week and weights once a week. Her hair is waist length and naturally curly, highlighted blonde; her eyes painted with a graphic eye design. She’s wearing a Stella McCartney grey, box-shouldered, long suit jacket, white Stella T-shirt and knee-length black cowboy boots, which she kicks off revealing short grey socks that hide her new ankle tattoo – a heart shape with the letter ‘T’ tucked neatly inside it. Her husband, Taika Waititi, 47, a New Zealand Oscar-winning film-maker tattooed it on her with his own hands, she created a matching one with her initial on him, when a friend came round to theirs with a tattoo gun. But more on this later.
We’re here to discuss her new album You & I, her first in more than four years, it’s almost 11 years since the launch of her first album Ora. Music aside, she hasn’t stopped working, she’s been prolific, punishing at times. She recently co-hosted the MTV Europe Music Awards with Taika, launched tequila brand Próspero, acted in Fifty Shades Of Grey and in the past decade has collaborated with Prince and Ed Sheeran. Having previously left Jay-Z’s Roc Nation because they hadn't put out any of her music in three years, Rita signed with Berlin-based music label BMG in February 2022 and now owns all her own masters. She has also been a judge on The X Factor, The Masked Singer and The Voice in the UK and Australia, travelled around the world, and is currently between London, LA, Australia and New Zealand. Earlier this week she was in Liverpool, performing at the Eurovision Song Contest's semi-finals. Oh, and she acts as a Unicef Ambassador, too, helping refugee children create a new life. It’s impressive.

#HipHopNews: Nicki Minaj Shares Visual For "Red Ruby Da Sleeze"
Nicki Minaj stuns in her latest visual for her hit “Red Ruby Da Sleeze.” After a brief hiatus, the “Chun Li” rapper has had her foot on the gas ever since. This new visual comes a few weeks after her exciting new verse on the “Princess Diana (Remix).” The viral track is currently at 42 million views with no signs of slowing up.

Minaj’s latest visual marks her first solo visual of 2023. The summer-friendly bop samples Lumidee’s popular track “Never Leave You (Uh Oooh, Uh Oooh).” In her new clip, the Queens, New York-bred rapper returns to Trinidad and Tobago.

The visual surprised fans after Minaj took to Instagram to say, “There’s now a full #RedRubyDaSleeze video on YOUTUBE!!!! It’ll be everywhere else next week. Happy early MOTHER’S DAY.”

The visual was shot during Carnival 2023 in her native country. In the impressive video, you can see Minaj flexing poolside in various luxury outfits. Her signature braggadocious flow can be heard throughout the high-energy single.

In the new song, she raps, “When the Queen leave, b*tches wanna come out like a cockroach/ Until I’m cookin’ in the kitchen like a pot roast/ That new Spectre, we don’t fill potholes/ Dorito bitches mad that they not chose.”

This is the award-winning emcee’s first solo single since her smash single “Super Freaky Girl.” Minaj never fails when she picks a classic sample to pair with her witty bars. Her track record is strong; from the looks of it, she plans to keep the momentum going into the summer.

Fans of the “Anaconda” rapper are anxiously awaiting details on her forthcoming tour. Minaj has hinted at going on the road countless times via social media and her famous “Queen Radio” show on Amp. In a time where female emcees are running the game, it’s only fitting that Minaj is dropping heat.

#BoxOfficeNews : ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ Still at #1 and ‘Book Club 2’ Comes in at #3
Disney’s “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3″ was victorious again at the domestic box office, adding $60.5 million in its second weekend of release.

Ticket sales dropped by 49% from its debut, marking an impressive hold… at least for a superhero movie. Across more than 30 Marvel entries, only 2018’s “Black Panther” (down 45%) and 2011’s “Thor” (down 47%) have enjoyed stronger second weekend holds. By comparison, recent MCU movies such as “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,” “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” and “Thor: Love and Thunder” declined by nearly 70% in their sophomore outings. Those were brutal falls, even for movies that debuted to more than $100 million. They also served as reminders that Disney’s premier franchise may remain critic-proof in terms of opening weekends, but they’re no longer immune to quickly falling back down to Earth.

That’s at least partially the reason that Disney needs the $250 million-budgeted “Guardians 3” to remain steady, especially as summer blockbuster season revs into high gear with “Fast X” on May 19 and “The Little Mermaid” on May 26. So far, the third and final installment in the James Gunn-directed Marvel trilogy has generated $213 million in North America and $528 million globally.

Elsewhere at the domestic box office, moviegoers didn’t ventured far beyond the mammoth headquarters of Knowhere. Rome, Venice, Tuscany and the other lush Italian locations in “Book Club: The Next Chapter” fielded less foot traffic than expected. The sequel to 2018’s hit septuagenarian comedy opened to $6.5 million from 3,507 North American theaters, arriving on the lower end of projections.

Critics weren’t totally charmed by the second “Book Club,” which reunites the core group of readers in Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda, Candice Bergen and Mary Steenburgen. Neither were audiences, who saddled the film with a “B” CinemaScore. (The first landed an “A-” grade.) The $20 million-budgeted follow-up film faces a tougher theatrical landscape than the original, which opened to $14 million and enjoyed a long life in theaters. Still, given the built-in awareness that benefits the second film in a franchise, it’s surprising that opening ticket sales were significantly lower than Paramount’s “80 for Brady,” a similarly lightweight comedy targeting older females. It opened earlier this year to $12.7 million and ended its run with $40 million.

“Older audiences take their time getting to these movies,” says David A. Gross, who runs the movie consulting firm Franchise Entertainment Research. “At a cost of $20 million, with modest foreign potential, ‘Book Club 2’ will need that kind of staying power to be profitable.”

“Book Club: The Next Chapter” landed in third place behind “The Super Mario Bros. Movie,” which scored a remarkable $13 million from 3,800 venues in its sixth weekend of release. The animated video game adaptation has grossed $535.9 million in North America and $1.21 billion globally.

Another holdover, the Warner Bros. supernatural horror sequel “Evil Dead Rise,” took the No. 4 spot with $3.7 million from 2,821 theaters. It’s become a modest box office hit with $60.1 million in North America and $131 million globally.

“Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret” rounded out the top five, adding $2.5 million for Mother’s Day weekend. The coming-of-age film from Lionsgate has now earned $16.5 million in North America.

Also opening this weekend, “Hypnotic,” a sci-fi action thriller starring Ben Affleck and directed by Robert Rodriguez, bombed in its debut with $2.3 million from 2,118 cinemas. It landed a dismal “C+” CinemaScore and a 38% on Rotten Tomatoes, which isn’t promising for word of mouth. Ketchup Entertainment and Relativity Media released “Hypnotic,” which was originally backed by Solstice Studios before the indie distributor folded in 2022.

“This is a weak opening for a film that was conceived before the pandemic,” Gross says. “The movie cost around $65 million to make. Even five years ago, that was a lot of money for a routine crime mystery.”

Kim Kardashian Spotted Holding 'American Horror Story' Season 12 Script
Kim Kardashian geared up for her upcoming role in season 12 of "American Horror Story". A little over one month after confirming that she will be a part of the upcoming installment of the FX anthology show, the series regular on "The Kardashians" was spotted holding onto its script.

On Friday, May 12, the 42-year-old was caught on camera carrying the show's script binder when going to a meeting at The Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills. In the photos that made their ways online, she could be seen getting out of a car with the binder clutched in her right hand.

The script binder the founder of SKIMS was holding onto was watermarked with her name on it. Its cover of the script offered some details about the upcoming season, including the name of its writer, Halley Feiffer.

Alfonso Ribeiro's Little Daughter Bruised and Battered as She Needed Surgery After Scooter Accident

On that particular day, Kim was seen wearing a fitted sleeveless black top. She paired it with camouflage print cargo pants, and completed her look with a pair of high heels and a black Hermes bag. Keeping her look clean and fresh, she tied her hair into a sleek high bun.

The "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" alum broke the news that she would be joining the cast of "American Horror Story" season 12 on April 10. At the time, she shared a video on Instagram that unveiled the names of the show's casts. Her name appeared after series regular Emma Roberts. In the caption of the post, she simply gave side eyes and red blood emojis.

Kim's casting revelation got unpleasant reactions from many. One in particular asked, "KIMBERLY WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE." Another expressed disliked over her joining the popular series by writing, "Ugh guess I'm skipping this season." A third reminded others, "I know y'all remember that she can't act."

The criticism did not stop there. A fourth penned, "I'd love to ask the producers, writers & directors what made them do this. This def wasn't for ratings." A fifth bluntly pointed out, "When you kno AHS is going downhill." A sixth asked, "How do I dislike," while a seventh suggested, "Use me as a dislike button."

Ja Morant Suspended By Grizzlies After Flashing His Gun Again
Ja Morant apparently hasn't learned a lesson from his past mistake. The NBA star has been suspended by his team, the Memphis Grizzlies, after he flashed a gun on Instagram Live. It's his second suspension in two months over a similar incident.

The Grizzlies announced the suspension on Sunday, May 14. "We are aware of the social media video involving Ja Morant," the team said in a statement. "He is suspended from all team activities pending League review. We have no further comment at this time."
Echoing the statement, NBA spokesperson Mike Bass also said, "We are aware of the social media post involving Ja Morant and are in the process of gathering more information."

The decision was made after video surfaced on social media on Saturday night showing Morant brandishing a handgun while in a car with his friend Davonte Pack. In the clip, which has since been deleted, the athlete briefly showed his gun while he and his friend were jamming to a rap song.

Seemingly reacting to Morant's second gun incident, D'Angelo Russell posted a tweet that sounds like advice for the younger NBA star. The Los Angeles Lakers point guard said, "If you can't change the people around you, change the people around you."

Former NBA guard Chandler Parsons also weighed in on the matter. "[S]uspend him all of next season," he wrote on a Bleacher Report Instagram post.

Morant was previously suspended in March after he livestreamed himself on Instagram holding a gun at a nightclub in Glendale, Colorado. While he was not charged with a crime following police's investigation, he agreed to enter a counseling program in Florida.

The 23-year-old insisted that the gun wasn't his and declared, "It's not who I am. I don't condone any type of violence, but I take full responsibility for my actions." He also acknowledged, "I made a bad mistake and I can see the image I painted over myself with my recent mistakes."

After being suspended for eight games without pay, Morant returned to play with his team on March 22. He thanked fans for their support, saying after the game, "Obviously, I'm thankful and grateful for everybody who's been supporting me during this time." He added, "It definitely helped me a lot, definitely made me feel a little better. Eased everything that was going on. Felt good to be back. Super excited. Glad we was able to get the win."

Colton Underwood Marries Jordan C. Brown in Napa Valley: 'I've Never Been More Sure of Something'
The Bachelor alum and political strategist got married during a 3-day wedding celebration that included a performance by Stanford University's Artistic Swimmers and a disco-themed pool party

The Bachelor alum and Coming Out Colton star, 31, wed Jordan C. Brown, 38, in front of 200 guests in a romantic ceremony at the Carneros Resort and Spa in Napa Valley on Saturday.

The three-day affair, planned by Ashley Smith Events, kicked off with a family dinner and welcome party on Friday night, before a full day of wedding festivities began Saturday morning.

"The day of our ceremony, we have a disco-themed pool party," Underwood told PEOPLE in an exclusive interview ahead of the couple's big day. "It's going to be a fun wedding," he adds, "I'll say that!"

For their nuptials, the couple wore custom Tom Ford suits. Underwood went with a deep green, while his political strategist husband chose blue, both as a nod to the natural setting of their "I do's."

"We wanted trees around and sunshine," says Brown. "It was really important for us to get married outside."

As guests made their way to the ceremony where a choir and orchestra performed, they were greeted by a beautiful photo display designed by the couple.
"One thing that's really important to both of us is that we've created this, we're calling it 'our loving walk,'" explains Underwood, who appeared on The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise and The Bachelor before revealing in a 2021 interview on Good Morning America that he is gay.

"It's inspired from a coffee table book that I was gifted after I came out called Loving and it's images of men in love throughout history. We blew them up and put them on canvases and set them around the resort," he says. "Next to them will be love letters from queer people in the 18th and 19th century that were forbidden or they had to send in secret."

Adds Brown: "It's really cool. It helps us to pay tribute to the people who paved the way for all same-sex couples who now can get married."

The pair walked hand in hand down the aisle and exchanged personal vows and rings before celebrating with friends and family at the reception.

"We wanted to break some of the traditional norms of what a ceremony and a wedding look like," says Underwood. "And for the entire weekend, we recognize that a lot of people attending, both of our families and some of our friends, this will be their first queer wedding. We really want to make it special."

As a fun surprise, the couple arranged for Stanford University's artistic swimming team to perform in the pool as everyone exited the ceremony. 'We wanted to keep the energy going," says Brown. "I like to host and bring people together. It's our wedding, but it's also a three-day party that we are throwing for our nearest and dearest."

At the reception, guests dined family style on salads, vegetables, steak, fish and pasta. "And lots of spicy margaritas," says Brown of their specialty 21 Seeds Tequila cocktails which included two cucumber and jalapeño infused drinks dedicated to the couple's dogs Scout and Zooka.

Following emotional toasts, the newlyweds cut into mini wedding cakes while other desserts included, "the best chocolate chip cookie you ever had," says Brown and mini lemon meringue pies.

The couple shared their first dance together to "The Good Ones" by Gabby Barrett. "We love it," says Underwood. "It's just one of those songs that both remind us of each other and special to us."

For Underwood, falling in love with Brown came easy. "I've never been more sure about something. He has the biggest heart and he's such a good friend to all of the people in his life. He goes out of his way to take care of his friends and his family. That speaks volumes. It was one of the first things that I noticed about him."

The pair first met at a party in Los Angeles in April 2021, and got engaged in Feb. 2022 in Big Sur, Calif. "It was very natural and organic, how it progressed," recalls Underwood of their relationship. Adds Brown: "We both just had a gut feeling."

Now, as the couple celebrates the happy milestone, Underwood says he feels lucky to spend every day with his husband.

"I love the family that we've created already," says Underwood. "Having our two dogs and our home and this wedding, we've really created a life that feels so compatible and in sync.

NBA playoffs: Ben Simmons trolls losing 76ers from comfort of his couch
Ben Simmons is not playing basketball. As of Sunday afternoon, neither are the Philadelphia 76ers. Simmons appears to relish this fact.

The exiled former 76ers first overall pick was watching Sunday's Game 7 from the comfort of his couch. He documented his afternoon with an image on Instagram. The post didn't come with a caption. But the message was clear from the score on his TV screen: Celtics 108, 76ers 78.

Simmons, meanwhile, appeared to be quite cozy with a glass of wine and his legs wrapped in a blanket as the 76ers spiraled to a 112-88 loss while giving up a Game 7-record 51 points to Celtics forward Jayson Tatum.
The loss saw the 76ers exit the postseason short of the conference finals for the sixth time in six years. It was their third Game 7 loss in the last five years.
Simmons was widely criticized for his dismal offensive effort in the last Game 7 collapse, a 2021 loss to the Atlanta Hawks in the conference semifinals. Joel Embiid and Doc Rivers called him out, and Simmons was ultimately traded to the Brooklyn Nets amid an ugly breakup without playing another game for Philadelphia.

He's played just 33 NBA games since that 2021 loss to Atlanta and has experienced his own spiral from one-of-a-kind talent to ineffective ex-All-Star without a defined NBA role. While the 76ers disappointed yet again, Simmons' career has come to redefine NBA disappointment — except at the bank, of course.

But the cliché so often holds true. Misery loves company.

Victims of Buffalo mass shooting honored on one-year anniversary
(May 14) marks the one-year anniversary of the mass shooting at Tops Friendly Market in Buffalo, New York. To honor the lives of the 10 victims, Mayor Byron Brown and community stakeholders held a remembrance memorial at the site of the tragedy. A permanent fixture honoring the victims will be placed at the site later this year.

As widely reported, a racist attack unfolded when Payton S. Gendron, dressed in tactical gear and armed with an assault-style rifle, took aim at shoppers in the parking lot. In total, he injured 13 people. Mayor Brown began his remarks by stating that “a white supremacist drove to our great city with the expressed intent of killing as many Black people as possible.” Authorities determined that the 18-year-old targeted the predominantly Black community in a rampage he spent months orchestrating.

“He took 10 lives, 10 precious lives, and injured three others,” said Brown. He expressed that the aftermath of the shooting left Buffalo “traumatized and grieving.” The fatally wounded victims are Ruth Whitfield, 86; Pearl Young, 77; Katherine “Kat” Massey, 72; Heyward Patterson, 67; Celestine Chaney, 65; Geraldine Talley, 62; Andre Mackneil, 53; Margus Morrison, 52; Aaron Salter, Jr., 55; and Roberta Drury, 32.

Brown continued, “In the days, weeks, and months since the mass shooting, Buffalonians and West New Yorkers came together in amazing ways, lifted each other up, [and] supported each other in our grief and showed the world why we are known as the city of good neighbors, the way this community came together.”

Speaking directly to the survivors and victims’ families, he expressed pride in how they have stood up and spoken out to uplift their community despite the massacre. “I consider all of you heroes, the way you have — in the face of the most unimaginable tragedy that anyone can think of — the way you have represented your families,” said Brown, who is in his third term as mayor.

On Friday (May 12), a wrongful death lawsuit was filed on behalf of three families. The documents show defendants are listed as six social media platforms (Facebook, Snapchat, Google, Discord, Reddit, and Twitch), a body armor manufacturer, a New York-based gun store, a gun accessories manufacturer, and the shooter’s parents.

Sunday also marks Mother’s Day, an occasion that Brown acknowledged is bittersweet for the families who have been in mourning after losing a loved one a year ago. “I just want to take a moment, even on this somber day, to recognize all of the mothers, to thank the mothers who are here with us today and who are watching and listening. Thank you for what you mean to our families and communities,” he said. Others who spoke at the memorial included Tops Friendly Market President and COO John Persons, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, New York Governor Kathy Hochul, and Reverend Rachelle Robinson.

Jamie Foxx, Corinne Foxx to Host New Fox Music Game Show ‘We Are Family,’ Slated to Premiere in 2024
Jamie Foxx and his daughter Corinne Foxx are expanding their relationship with Fox, with the duo set to co-host the music game show “We Are Family,” which has been ordered to series at the broadcaster.

The series was announced just ahead of Fox’s upfront presentation to advertisers in New York. It comes as Jamie is still believed to be recovering from a “medical complication” that left him hospitalized on April 12. Most recently, Corinne stated that her father had been out of the hospital “for weeks,” as of May 12.

Jamie is also the host of the Fox music game show “Beat Shazam,” with Corinne serving as the show’s DJ. Nick Cannon is currently serving as guest host with Kelly Osborne filling in as the DJ for the new season expected to air this summer while Jamie recovers. The new season of that show launched May 23. Jamie executive produces that show as well as the Fox scripted drama series “Alert: Missing Persons Unit.”

“We Are Family” does not have a premiere date at this time but is slated to launch in 2024. The official description states, “Showcasing non-famous relatives of celebrities performing duets with their hidden famous family member, ‘We Are Family’ will feature a studio audience entirely comprised of 100 contestants playing through multiple rounds of clues and gameplay to win up to $100,000 each by correctly guessing which celebrity the performer is related to before they are revealed. Celebrities appearing on ‘We Are Family’ will range from musicians and professional athletes to actors and beyond.”

“Jamie and Corinne are important partners to the Fox Family,” said Allison Wallach, president of unscripted programming for Fox Entertainment. “Their boundless energy and charming interplay with contestants are irresistible, which make them the perfect hosts of ‘We Are Family.’ This series joins Fox’s fast-growing list of premium music-centric competition series.”

The series will be co-produced by Apploff Entertainment and Fox Alternative Entertainment, which created the program. Jeff Apploff and Jamie will executive produce “We Are Family.” Matilda Zoltowski will be the showrunner and executive producer of the series.

“We are thrilled to be developing ‘We Are Family’ with Jeff Apploff and our friends at Fox Entertainment after so much success with six seasons of ‘Beat Shazam,’” said Jamie and Corinne Foxx. “We hope this show brings as much fun to audiences at home as we’ve had creating it when it premieres next year.”

“We Are Family” is the latest music-based competition show that Fox has ordered. The network most famously airs “The Masked Singer,” with other such shows in their lineup including “Name That Tune,” “I Can See Your Voice,” “Beat Shazam,” and “Don’t Forget the Lyrics.”

Police called to Lady Gaga's house after man placed flowers in her driveway
Police were called to Lady Gaga's Malibu mansion last week over a startling trespassing incident.
"Deputies responded to the residence of Lady Gaga, regarding a trespassing call," Lieutenant Jack Jordan of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department tells EW of the ordeal, which occurred May 11 at around 7:42 p.m. local time. "[Police then] contacted her security officer, who stated that the suspect had walked past security and placed flowers on the driveway."

Jordan says deputies later "determined no crime had occurred," as the unidentified man didn't attempt to make contact with Gaga, and he was not arrested.

A representative for Gaga had no comment. TMZ first reported the news of police responding to Gaga's home.

Gaga, who recently wrapped production on her upcoming role as Harley Quinn in Joker: Folie à Deux, previously grappled with another scary situation when her dog walker was shot amid an attempted robbery of her French bulldogs in 2021. One assailant was eventually sentenced to 21 years in prison.

"[She's] very supportive of my journey right now. It's hard for people to understand why someone would go about healing in this way. I grew up Catholic, in the Jesuit faith, and there's something about giving up your resources, giving up your belongings and to contribute back to society," Ryan Fischer, Gaga's dog walker, said in an interview with CBS This Morning.

EW later learned that Gaga covered his medical bills, totaling close to $100,000. "I know that doesn't make sense to a lot of people, but she totally gets it."

‘Archer’ to End With Season 14 on FXX
It’s official: Archer is coming to an end. FX on Monday unveiled its summer premiere dates, including an Aug. 30 return for what will be the animated comedy’s 14th and final season on FXX. The series will begin its farewell with two episodes starting at 10 p.m., with both available the following day on Hulu.

'Snowfall' Stars Damson Idris, Michael Hyatt Remember John Singleton as USC Dedicates Lounge in His Honor

Created by Adam Reed and exec produced by Reed, Matt Thompson and Casey Willis at Floyd County Productions, Archer is fully owned by FX parent Disney and produced by FX Productions. The animated spy comedy features a voice cast that includes H. Jon Benjamin, Aisha Tyler, Judy Greer, Chris Parnell, Amber Nash, Reed and Lucky Yates. Archer bid farewell to its late star Jessica Walter in its season 12 finale.

Production is already under way on the 14th season.
Archer joins the previously announced 16th season of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia on FX/FXX this summer. Animated series traditionally take longer to produce and have scripts written far in advance to allow time for the animation process. Several networks and streamers have been bulking up on animation ahead of the ongoing Writers Guild of America strike, with FX/FXX now populating its summer with its two staples.

They join Sunny, The Full Monty (all episodes on Hulu on June 14) and season two of the award-winning The Bear, with all 10 episodes launching on Hulu on June 22.

Cash App founder Bob Lee, who was stabbed to death last month, was having an affair with the sister of his alleged killer, Nima Momeni, according to a new report from the Wall Street Journal.

Friends of Lee who spoke to the Journal said Lee and Khazar Momeni, the wife of a well-known San Francisco plastic surgeon, were part of the same underground party circle known as the "The Lifestyle" and were casually sleeping together.

The nature of Lee and Khazar Momeni's relationship was not previously known, though court documents show that Nima — a 38-year-old tech consultant who had known Lee for a decade — confronted Lee about his sister prior to the stabbing.

Lee and Khazar had reportedly been drinking with a group of friends at a house party in San Francisco prior to the altercation, which took place when Nima came to pick Khazar up. According to court records, Nima asked Lee if Khazar "was doing drugs [or] anything inappropriate" and proceeded to argue with the Cash App founder.

According to witnesses at the scene, Lee told Nima that his sister had not taken any drugs and "nothing inappropriate had happened." A toxicology report later showed the presence of drugs in Lee's system, including ketamine and cocaine.

Later that evening, Nima and Lee both arrived separately to Khazar's apartment, before leaving together at 2:04 a.m. in Nima's white BMW Z4. Prosecutors say Nima then drove Lee to a "dark and secluded" San Francisco street corner and stabbed him in a "planned and deliberate attack."

"Just wanted to make sure your doing ok Cause [I] know nima came wayyyyyy down hard on you," Khazar wrote to Lee in a text following the confrontation, according to court documents. "Thank you for being such a classy man handling it with class. Love you Selfish pricks."

Sources speaking to the Journal said both Lee and Khazar were part of "The Lifestyle," a scene within the San Francisco tech community that involves recreational drug use and casual sex. According to court documents, prosecutors said Khazar was married, "but the relationship had possibly been in jeopardy."

Gift Kerat, a friend of Lee who said she spent a lot of time with him during the pandemic, told the Journal that Lee had several girlfriends during this period, but "was respectful of them."

In a statement provided to the Journal, Khazan's attorneys Mary McNamara and Ed Swanson said "There are many rumors circulating around this case, many of them untrue."

"Ms. Momeni loves and supports her brother," the statement said. "What happened here is a tragedy, and Ms. Momeni is deeply saddened at the suffering of the Lee family as they deal with their terrible loss."

Lee's wife Krista, with whom he was separated, told the Journal that he was not a "party boy" and she had never heard the term "The Lifestyle."
"He was kind and generous — he saw the good in everybody," Krista Lee said.

Police arrested Nima on April 13 on murder charges for the fatal stabbing of Lee and is being held without bail until his arraignment. He plans to plead not guilty, according to his attorneys.

Keke Palmer Revisits Her Experience With Trey Songz While Discussing New Film: “The Biggest Mistake You Can Make Is Trusting Somebody”
Keke Palmer, who has spent over twenty years in the entertainment industry, opens up about her journey.
On Friday, the talented actress unveiled her latest album, “Big Boss,” along with a self-written film. This project not only serves as her directorial debut but also as a personal account of her experiences in the music industry, including facing business obstacles and instances of sexual harassment.

In a recent interview, Palmer discussed the creation of her emotionally raw album and film, emphasizing the importance of addressing sexual harassment in the music industry. She also revisited her experience with Trey Songz while explaining the film’s scenes.

“The situation in that scene was after, I think, the incident [with Songz],” Palmer began. “As I depicted in the film, it was somebody who I thought was a friend, where I’m thinking that I’m putting myself maybe in better situations, but I continuously will find myself around people in weird situations that I thought were friends or family. That’s probably the bigger thing. When all that stuff went down, people kept saying, “Oh, well why did she do this?” Well, because I thought I could trust this person, and that’s the unfortunate thing.

She continued, “Those scenes are real. Those scenes are not actually inspired by that moment. Obviously, people know that moment and are aware of that scenario from when it happened and when I spoke about it. But that just goes to show, that was one of many moments where things go down in this industry.

Palmer entered the music industry at a young age following her debut onscreen role in”Barbershop 2: Back in Business.” she signed with Atlantic Records at the age of 12 and subsequently released her first album, “So Uncool,” in 2007. Over the following decade, she experienced a series of false starts and dealt with record labels such as Interscope and Island Records. However, in 2018, she took matters into her own hands and established her own record label, Big Bosses Entertainment. Since then, she has enjoyed the freedom to release her music on her own terms.
