#RHOA: Tamar Braxton Confirms Beef With Kandi Burruss: Their Surprising Feud Explained
Things are not so peachy between Kandi Burruss and Tamar Braxton.
Braxton confirmed rumors of a months-long feud between her and The Real Housewives of Atlanta star during a March 19 appearance on Watch What Happens Live.

The "All the Way Home" singer subtly confirmed that she was referring to Burruss and her husband Todd Tucker in the December 2022 Instagram post alleging a RHOA star had "threatened" her while answering a fan question.

"It really did happen, I'm not lying," Braxton explained. "Like, I'm not looking for attention or drama or anything like that, but that s--t really happened, it was not cute."

Host Andy Cohen incorrectly guessed Eva Marcille and Drew Sidora, before adding, "It's not Kandi..." prompting Braxton to smile at the camera and take a sip of her drink. While she didn't elaborate, she promised Cohen, "I'll tell you the story later."

However, the following day, Braxton called out Burress and Tucker on social media.
"I'm DONE talking about it," she shared on Instagram March 20. "Obviously it happened. kandi wants to deflect and condone her man's behavior by calling me a "victim"(smh)….it's abusive and disrespectful and it's NEVER OK FOR A MAN TO STEP TO A WOMAN!!! Fans don't have to agree!! PERIODT!!"

The drama between the Bravo couple and Braxton goes all the way back to October 2022 when Burruss alleged during a Haus of Aaron podcast interview that former RHOA producer Carlos King tried to make a biopic about her band Xscape behind her back and without the group's permission. (King hasn't directly responded to her claims.)

Braxton, who had previously toured with Burruss and Xscape in the past, later defended King on Dish Nation, saying, "I don't agree with her calling him a thief, you know what I mean? I think that's a little like off the deep end."

And then two months later, Braxton posted on social media in December to allege a confrontation had happened between her and a mystery RHOA couple. "I was threatened by a [peach emoji] and they man…" she wrote. Though she didn't name the alleged culprits, she added, "It's BEEF and it's a REAL BEEF cause yo HUSBAND stepped to me! Periodt!"

Burruss and Tucker have not publicly addressed the feud or any of Braxton's claims. E! News has reached out to Burruss and Tucker for comment.

#MusicNews: Usher Reunites With L.A. Reid, Announces Spring Release For Upcoming 9th Album
One the heels of the release of his brand new single “GLU”, Usher has just announced that he’s reunited with original collaborator L.A. Reid and that his upcoming ninth studio album will release this Spring. The pair haven’t worked together since 2004’s Diamond certified “Confessions”.

Usher will release the new album via gamma. The company is a modern music, media and technology enterprise created to revolutionize the way artists create, distribute, and monetize their content and brand.

In conjunction with new music coming, “Usher My Way: The Las Vegas Residency” just kicked off its second sold-out year in Vegas with shows through October.

#HipHopNews: Saweetie Explains Why Her Debut Album Has Been Delayed
It’s been nearly three years since Saweetie announced her debut album Pretty Bitch Music, but there is still no release date.
In a new interview with E! News, the “Best Friend” rapper opened up about the years-long delay and why she refuses to rush the creative process.

“I’ve been through a lot of interesting experiences,” she said. “So, I wanna put that all into my album in the most artistic and organic way.”

However, she’s taking her time to perfect her music. “I feel like a debut album is not something you just put out,” she explained. “It’s not something you play with. I’m a Cancer so I like to overthink sometimes, but I think you have to be really careful with that and I take my art really serious.”
In a message to her fans last June, the Grammy-nominated rapper addressed the delay. “Through hours of self-reflection I have realized that Pretty B.I.T.C.H music is not an album-it’s a movement. It’s a culture. It’s a language. It’s a lifestyle,” she said. “We not rushing art, we taking our time!”

Elsewhere in the interview, the Icy Girl revealed her celebrity crushes (Rihanna, Lil Nas X) and who she’s been listening to. “I like Lola Brooke, I like Ice Spice,” she said. “And I’ve been watching ‘Baddies West,’ I like Stunna Girl, too.”

Pretty Bitch Music has been a long time coming. It was originally slated to arrive in June 2021 before being pushed back.

“The world is going to be shocked by my new music,” she previously told W Magazine of her debut. “From now on, I think they’re going to be shocked by everything I do.”

Saweetie has been holding fans over with music. In November, she dropped her 6-track EP The Single Life featuring the controversial track “Don’t Say Nothin’.”

Three Men Found Guilty In XXXTentacion Murder Trial
A verdict has been reached in the XXXTentacion murder trial.
Dedrick Williams, Michael Boatwright, and Trayvon Newsome were all found guilty of killing the rapper during a robbery outside a motorcycle shop in 2018.

Following a week of deliberation, a Florida jury reached its verdict on Monday, March 20. Closing arguments in the case wrapped on Wednesday, March 8.

All three men were convicted of first-degree murder and armed robbery and face mandatory life sentences. A fourth person, Robert Allen, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder last year and testified for the prosecution against the other three.
XXXTentacion, whose real name was Jahseh Onfroy, was shot and killed as he was leaving Riva Motorsports on June 18, 2018 when his vehicle was blocked by an SUV. Two masked gunmen emerged and demanded his money before one shot him. They fled with $50,000 in cash that X had in a Louis Vuitton bag. The 20-year-old rapper died at the hospital shortly after.

The trial began back in February, nearly five years after XXXTentacion’s murder. The prosecution argued that X was killed in a robbery gone wrong. Surveillance video played in court showed the moment the two masked gunmen attacked the rapper’s car with guns drawn.

During closing arguments, Boatwright’s attorney, Joseph Kimok, claimed that there was no DNA evidence connecting the defendants to the murder, while Newsome’s attorney, George Reres, encouraged the jury not to be swayed by social media posts showing the suspects with the money.

Williams’ lawyer, Mauricio Padilla, attempted to raise doubt by bringing up an alleged feud between Drake and XXXTentacion, and even tried to get Drake to sit for a deposition. The judge ultimately ruled that Drake would not be deposed due to lack of evidence linking him to the shooting.

Kanye West And ‘Wife’ Bianca Censori Take His Daughter North To Church
It seems North West is warming up to her new “stepmom.”
The daughter of Kanye West and his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, was spotted attending a church service in Los Angeles with her dad and his new “wife” Bianca Censori on Saturday.

The “Heartless” rapper, 45, and his Yeezy employee, whom he married in a non-legally binding ceremony in January, were joined by another female friend as they got out of their car.

The father of four kept it casual in a white tee, a black leather jacket, black pants and black sneakers.
Australia born Censori, 28, cut a similar figure in a cropped black tee and black leggings, which she accessorized with black gloves, a black jacket, and Nike trainers.

The architectural designer’s platinum blonde tresses were slicked back, and she completed the look with several hoop earrings.

North, 9, stayed on theme in a black graphic tee with matching shorts, black socks, white Yeezy shoes, and her hair styled in long, green braids.
The church outing comes one week after Kanye and Censori took North to Universal Studios.

OMG! Amanda Bynes Hospitalization: Weighs Under 100 Lbs, Suspected Of Abusing Prescription Drugs
Amanda Bynes is currently hospitalized after suffering an alleged psychotic break following extreme weight loss due to suspected prescription drug abuse.

Sources close to the situation tell The Blast, Amanda has recently undergone "startling and dramatic weight loss over the last few months," and people around the actress believe she is abusing prescription medication.

Unfortunately, we're told she currently weighs less than 100 pounds.
As we reported, Bynes was placed on a 72-hour psychiatric hold after calling 9-1-1 on herself in Los Angeles. At the time, she was reportedly walking in the streets of downtown L.A. completely naked. Amanda apparently flagged down a car and explained she was "coming down" from a psychotic episode.

After officers arrived on the scene, Amanda was taken to a police station where mental health professionals determined she needed to be hospitalized.

At this point, Amanda's family is in contact with medical professionals and it is unclear how long the actress will be hospitalized. Normally, a 5150 hold lasts 3 days, but it can be extended by a doctor or a judge if they believe she needs further treatment.

Our sources are not revealing which drug they believe she is abusing, but Amanda has a history with Adderall, a drug that can cause dramatic weight loss if used improperly.
Back in 2018, Bynes opened up to Paper Magazine about her drug abuse. The actress says she struggled with "severe body image issues" at the height of her career which led to her Adderall addiction. Amanda says the situation prompted her to quit acting.

It should be noted, for years the actress was under a conservatorship where her family and the courts could monitor her behavior and subsequent treatment. Shockingly, Amanda was released from the conservatorship almost a year ago to the day. On March 24, 2022, a judge issued an order stating that she had "provided facts that the conservatorship is no longer needed." The document says, at the time, she had "the capacity to give informed consent to any form of medical treatment. The court determines that the conservatorship is no longer required and that grounds for the establishment of a conservatorship of the person no longer exist. The court intends to grant the petition for termination and order the conservatorship of the person of Amanda Bynes be terminated."

New Jordan Peele Movie Set for Christmas Day 2024 Release From Universal
Jordan Peele is staying in business with Universal Pictures, as the studio has just set an untitled fourth film from the “Nope” writer/director for release on Dec. 25, 2024. Additionally, an untitled horror/thriller from Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions will open in theaters on Friday, Sept. 27, 2024.

Other movies dated for Christmas 2024 include James Cameron’s third “Avatar” movie and the third movie in the “Sonic the Hedgehog” film franchise. Recently, Broadway adaptation “Wicked, Part 1” scooted out of the Christmas timeframe to occupy a new Thanksgiving slot. “Wicked,” like the Peele project, will be released by Universal.

Peele’s feature directorial debut, “Get Out,” was released by Universal in 2017 and grossed over $255 million against a budget of just $4.5 million. On top of being an astounding commercial success, it netted Peele a Best Original Screenplay Oscar with additional nominations for Best Picture, Director and Actor. That Academy Award-winning screenplay, about a Black man (Daniel Kaluuya) who visits his white girlfriend’s (Allison Williams) family for the weekend with sinister consequences, was also named the greatest screenplay of the 21st century by the Writer’s Guild of America.

Peele followed “Get Out” with 2019’s “Us,” which grossed $256 million and garnered acclaim for Lupita Nyong’o’s performance. And while the movie, about evil doppelgängers living in the sewers beneath our world, didn’t ignite the imagination in the same way “Get Out” did, it is in many ways a better film; more imaginatively staged and photographed and with a more ambitious screenplay. It’s clearly made a mark on pop culture, as well, with people dressed up as “the Tethered” popping up every Halloween (and in a scene from “Scream VI,” no less).

“Nope,” Peele’s third film for Universal, opened last summer to critical acclaim and grossed over $171 million. This project, which expanded his ambition even further than “Us,” was a rootin’ tootin’ sci-fi western horror-comedy about a brother and sister (played by Kaluuya and Keke Palmer) who are menaced by a UFO outside their family ranch. While it didn’t nab any Oscar nominations, it was just as beloved (and puzzled over) as Peele’s earlier films, if not more so. Universal Studios Hollywood opened an entirely new section of the Backlot Studio Tour devoted to the movie, as tourists were able to creep through Jupiter’s Claim, the western theme park from the movie. And The New York Times’ A.O. Scott named “Nope” the best movie of 2022, writing, “The movie is a genre joyride and a philosophical puzzle. And it has plenty to say — about labor, family, race, grief and (yes) movies — in a visual language that feels at once familiar and radically new.”

As to what the upcoming Monkeypaw horror movie for the fall of 2024 could be, there are several projects in development at the shingle that could fit the bill.

“Sinkhole,” a thriller based on Leyna Krow’s short story about a mysterious sinkhole that shows up in a family’s backyard with the power to fix broken things, was announced in 2020 as a potential vehicle for Issa Rae. There’s also the upcoming project from “Nanny” filmmaker Nikyatu Jusu, which Jusu confirmed recently is an expansion of her short film “Suicide by Sunlight,” which debuted at Sundance back in 2019. The film is about Black vampires who are protected against the sun thanks to the melanin in their skin.

And then there’s a proposed remake of Wes Craven’s “The People Under the Stairs,” which was rumored back in 2020. There hasn’t been any movement on that front (or even official confirmation), but it seems like the kind of ambitious project Peele and Monkeypaw would mount, with the movie’s mixture of humor, horror and social commentary obviously appealing to Peele. If “The People Under the Stairs” can be as fun and ambitious as his “Candyman” remake from a few years ago, then we’ll be in good hands.

As for what Peele’s new movie is, it’s anybody’s guess. And while he has teased continuing the “Nope” saga in some way, we are assuming it will be wholly original. Whatever the Christmas 2024 movie is, we’ll be first in line.

Shaq Gives Health Update With Photo From Hospital Bed
Shaquille O'Neal is on the mend. The NBA legend's fans were concerned after he shared a picture on Twitter of himself laying on a hospital bed.
"I'm always watching @TurnerSportsEJ and @Candace_Parker miss y’all," he captioned the shot, showing that he's tuning in watching his fellow NBA on TNT coworkers.
Thankfully, there's no reason to worry.

TMZ reported that O'Neal received surgery for a hip injury over the weekend, which proved to be successful. He is currently in recovery.
Fellow TNT sports analyst Candace Parker shared her appreciation towards O'Neal in tweet, writing, "Love ya big Fella ️."

O'Neal spoke about his surgery on the March 9 episode of The Big Podcast with Shaq, where he said he was aiming to return to work on April 16. He joked that he's trying to lose 30 pounds during his recovery time and heading back to the show with an eight pack.

He said he's going on the 51 diet—"five BS meals and one [real] meal." The diet involves a "shake for breakfast; fruit plate [as the] second meal; four chicken breasts and some ketchup—slice them up, dip them into ketchup; a salad; and a shake for the last meal."

"I'm gonna do that for 90 days and get shredded," he said.
O'Neal is also not letting his hip surgery stop him from performing as DJ Diesel. He'll have three shows at Encore Beach Club in Las Vegas on June 10, July 5, and July 8. He also is doing a DJ set in Honolulu, Hawaii venue The Republik on July 14, marking the first time he's performed in the state.

Chris Pine & Hugh Grant Took Over Berlin For The 'Dungeons & Dragons' Premiere!
Chris Pine and Hugh Grant hit the red carpet with their co-stars for the premiere of Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves held at Zoopalast on Monday night (March 20) in Berlin, Germany.
Rege-Jean Page, Justice Smith and Sophia Lillis met up with the duo, as well as directors Jonathan Goldstein, John Francis Daley, and producer Jeremy Latcham for the event.

In a recent interview with Fandango, Hugh opened up about how annoying he found having to film with the manually operated Drangonborn on set.
“I found them annoying,” he fully admitted. “I remember doing a close-up and thinking, ‘I am rather good in this shot.’ And then I went to look at the monitor, to see how marvelous I’d been, and in the background one of these bloody dragon things walks through the background of the shot.”

Hugh added, “And you think, ‘What’s that?’ And obviously no one’s listening or looking at me. They’re… I’m upstaged by this creature. So I would have cut all those out.”
Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves centers on a charming thief and a band of unlikely adventurers embark on an epic quest to retrieve a long lost relic, but their charming adventure goes dangerously awry when they run afoul of the wrong people.

The flick will be out in theaters on March 31.

Michelle Obama wants 'little girls' with 'hair like mine' to know their stories matter: 'You belong'
Former first lady Michelle Obama spoke on the importance of representation in a clip from an unreleased episode of her podcast, The Light Podcast, released exclusively to InStyle.
During the episode, which officially drops on Tuesday, Obama praised a few role models who regularly challenge the status quo.

"We've got so many role models. We've got Serena [Williams] now out there," she said, shouting out the tennis superstar who announced her retirement in August 2022.

She also reflected on the lack of representation she had as a child, highlighting the importance of figures such as Williams for today's youth.
"I didn't have a Serena to look up to, somebody who was beautiful, strong, fast, outspoken. That wasn't a role model for me," she said.

This lack, she explained, is a primary reason why she writes the books she does, as she hopes her story will resonate with more young girls in a manner no story did for her in her youth.

"Why do I write these books? I have thoughts in my head, but I think the more stories that I can tell about a little Black girl from the South Side of Chicago who is working-class, there's going to be some kid out there that's going to see themselves in the way that I didn't have somebody to see," she explained. "And it is important for us to put our stories out there."

She also gave praise to Mindy Kaling and Ali Wong for their contributions to the fields of television and comedy.

"I write about Mindy Kaling, now rewriting the whole story of who belongs in television. Ali Wong, who's one of my favorite comedians. All of those women, their representation is so important. And that's why representation and storytelling is important," she said.

The podcast, which launched in March, features discussions in front of a live audience from her book tour for her second bestseller, The Light We Carry: Overcoming in Uncertain Times. During the forthcoming episode, Obama personally addressed a young Black audience member, highlighting the importance of representation for young girls like her.

"I want little girls like this little beautiful girl right there, yes you, yes you, to know that your story matters, that I see you with hair like mine and that beautiful smile, and you belong. And I want you to practice that message now every day so that you're not like me at 58, wondering, 'Am I good enough?' when I know I doggone am good enough," she said.

Production for Jamie Foxx’s New Film with Cameron Díaz Has Been Halted After He Reportedly Has a Meltdown.
Actor Jamie Foxx has Tinseltown buzzing after he allegedly had a “meltdown” on the set of his new film “Back In Action” and fired multiple staffers.
Foxx has been filming the movie with actress Cameron Diaz in London, and apparently things are not going well.

According to The Sun, production has now been stalled due to an open investigation over a plot to scam celebrities out of money. The investigation “led to one staffer being sacked,” which follows the four staffers Foxx fired after his “major meltdown” on set.
Insiders say the Oscar-winning actor fired several senior producers on set. Police reportedly were contacted over the incident after producers found out the same staffer has ties with previous attempts to extort large amounts of money from celebrities.

“There have been a lot of delays, especially with the weather thanks to filming outdoors in London in winter, but the latest issue is a bit more sinister,” says an unidentified source to The Sun. “One staffer has been sacked, and there are investigations after someone tried to get access to £33,000 in cash from Jamie Foxx.”

£33,000 equates to just over $40K in American dollars. The individual suggested that the “Ray” star was offered a luxury item, “It sounds as though they tried to offer up a Rolex watch as part of the deal but now there’s an investigation into everything going on. People will be glad when this thing finally wraps.”

The news came as a shock to many, as Foxx is popular in Hollywood and even coaxed Diaz out of retirement. Foxx and Diaz worked together on the 2014 remake of “Annie” as well as the sports flick “Any Given Sunday” back in 1999.

Foxx persuaded Diaz to unretire for “Back in Action,” which would be her first film in nine years. The “Charlie’s Angel” star walked away from Hollywood to focus on her family, but she’s allegedly planning her own exit after all of the chaos.

“She hates drama and confrontation. This why she retired in the first place,” The Sun’s insider said.

Earlier this month, outlets reported that Foxx fired four staffers and had become the unpopular guy during production. He allegedly had a “major meltdown” over some unknown “issues” that took place on set.

“He demanded the problems be sorted immediately and sacked four of the production staff — as if that would magically improve the situation,” the source said. “Some people working on it are totally fed up with how this has played out, and Jamie has become pretty unpopular.”
Another unnamed source told People magazine, that the 50-year-old actress was enjoying her time on the set of the new movie, noting that she and Foxx have great chemistry.

“She was nervous before she arrived in London, but then very excited. Filming has been amazing. Cameron really enjoys it,” they said, adding that the film has been filmed mostly at night.

“It hasn’t bothered her, because she is jet-lagged anyway. Her family is with her for support.” The source also noted that Diaz only decided to do the film after being persuaded by Foxx.

“Back In Action” is expected to hit Netflix in late 2023 or early 2024.

Ben Affleck Reveals Michael Jordan’s Demands Before He Agreed to ‘Air’ Nike Drama
*Ben Affleck’s latest directional project is the movie “Air,” which centers on a group of Nike executives and their partnership with Michael Jordan in the 1980s.
Based on a true story, “Air” stars Matt Damon as Sonny Vaccaro, the Nike employee behind the Air Jordan shoe line. Viola Davis also stars as Jordan’s mother and Affleck portrays Nike co-founder and former CEO Phil Knight.

Affleck says Jordan would not give his approval on the film unless Davis was cast to play his mother, Variety reports.

“I had a chance to sit down with Michael Jordan, because I just wasn’t going to make this movie without asking him, ‘What matters to you?’ Interestingly, and tellingly, he had a few things that mattered,” said Affleck at the film’s South by Southwest world premiere in Austin over the weekend.
“One of them was that Howard White needed to be in the movie,” Affleck said, referring to the vice president of the Jordan brand.

“I got the script and then had the chance again to talk to Michael. Michael Jordan, for those of you who don’t know, is one of the most intimidating, impressive men you’ll ever see in your life,” Affleck said. “He told me about his father. And then he talked about his mother. It was the first time I saw this look cross his face. It was a look of reverence, of awe, of love, and gratitude, and innocence. He said, ‘None of this would have ever happened without my mother.’ I said, ‘Who would you like to play your mom?’ He said, ‘Well, it has to be Viola Davis.”

“That’s like saying, ‘Can I play basketball on your court?’ ‘Yeah, if you get Michael Jordan.’ “Viola Davis is the best actor I’ve ever seen,” Affleck continued. “This is a hard business. It’s hard to know if you’re successful. It’s hard to know if you’ve accomplished something. But honest to God, I always felt that if i was a director one day, and I had Viola Davis in a movie, that would really be something. That would mean the world to me. And it does.”

“This is the best night of my professional life, and I want to welcome the best actor in the world,” he concluded, bringing Davis onstage for a brief moment in the spotlight before audiences got their first look at “Air.”

As THR reports, Davis said “Air” was “an unbelievable experience that me and my husband and even my hair and makeup team still talk about to this day.” Davis’ husband, actor and producer Julius Tennon, plays Jordan’s father in the film.

“Ben’s an auteur and so unbelievably kind and respectful. It was one of our top experiences of being treated the way we felt we deserved to be treated,” Davis added.

“Air” will release theatrically on April 5.
