#RHOA: Robyn Dixon and Juan Dixon Got Married Again! Details on 2nd Wedding
Second time's the charm? The Real Housewives of Potomac star Robyn Dixon and ex-husband Juan Dixon reportedly got married again in a secret wedding ceremony, People reported on Monday, January 23.
The high school sweethearts tied the knot without Robyn’s RHOP costars in attendance. However, fans will get to see footage of the wedding during the season 7 finale, according to the publication.
Fans met the reality star and former NBA player during a rocky point in their relationship when The Real Housewives of Potomac first aired in January 2016. While the pair seemed to be a normal couple who lived together with their sons, Corey and Carter, Robyn revealed they were actually divorced after they experienced a strain in their relationship.
“We got divorced because we weren’t in a good place in our relationship and there was kind of some infidelity and we weren’t really in tune and connected,” Robyn told OK! Magazine in January 2016.
The Baltimore native added, “We weren’t living together when we got divorced. He kind of moved in about two years after we got divorced.”
Robyn and the Coppin State University head basketball coach repaired their romance during the past seven seasons of The Real Housewives of Potomac. The duo attended couples therapy and started becoming physically connected once again, leading Juan to propose to Robyn in December 2019, which was filmed during RHOP season 5.
“Sweeter the second time around! Thank you to everyone who loved, supported, rooted and prayed for Juan and I. We truly appreciate all of the love and congratulatory wishes as we embark on #DixonsPartDeux,” the Bravo star captioned her engagement announcement via Instagram at the time.
Although they were set to say “I Do” the second time around, Robyn made it clear she wanted to protect her assets by having Juan sign a prenup with an infidelity clause. The Embellished founder revealed that Juan got “in a good place” with the prenup during a December 2022 appearance on Watch What Happens Live After Show.
Since it isn’t their first time tying the knot, Robyn made it clear their wedding was not going to be traditional.
"I don't even know if I want a wedding. I don't know if I need one — like, a traditional wedding," Robyn admitted to her RHOP cast members during season 7. "I'm going to keep it super simple ... It'll just be the four of us. We're not telling anyone."
She added, “The thought of an actual wedding and all the pomp and circumstances that come with it, that doesn't excite me. It just feels more special to do it privately, without worrying about everyone else and how they perceive it."
Reps for Juan and Robyn did not immediately respond to Life & Style's request for comment.
#MusicNews: Rihanna Earns First Oscar Nomination For 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever' Song
Rihanna can add Oscar nominee to her résumé. The pop icon has earned for her first Oscar nomination for “Lift Me Up” from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The emotional ballad, co-written by Tems, Ludwig Göransson, and Wakanda Forever director Ryan Coogler, is nominated for Best Original Song at the 2023 Academy Awards, it was announced today.
Rihanna will compete against Lady Gaga’s “Hold My Hand” from Top Gun: Maverick and Diane Warren’s “Applause” from Tell It Like a Woman. Other nominees in the category include “This Is a Life” from Everything Everywhere All at Once and “Naatu Naatu” from RRR.

Wakanda Forever received a total of five Oscar nominations including Best Supporting Actress for Angela Bassett, along with Visual Effects, Costume Designer, and Makeup and Hair Styling.

#HipHopNews: Lil Kim Set To Deliver Her First Headlining Apollo Theater Performance
Another high-profile rap show is headed to the Apollo. Lil Kim is teaming up with the Harlem Festival of Culture for a special concert. It will be her first time headlining the historic venue.
The Jump Off with Lil’ Kim and Friends will take place on January 26, the 89th anniversary of the renowned venue. The event, presented by Infiniti, also marks the start of HFC’s partnership with the Apollo for the next festival weekend.
“It’s going to be a night to remember to help kick off the Harlem Festival of Culture’s road to the festival with some of my special friends,” Lil’ Kim said to Billboard. “Apollo was like my backyard; I played there so much and every time it was always love. The crowd is always amazing!”
The show will also feature performances from Ashanti, Remy Ma, and Fivio Foreign.
“As we prepared to start on this road to the launch of the festival, we realized that this was also a milestone year for hip-hop and knew that our first major event out of the gate had to be special and center around hip-hop and R&B,” said HFC co-founder and technical & talent producer Yvonne McNair. “One of the tenants of HFC’s mission is to celebrate and preserve the cultural contributions of the Black Diaspora in music, media, art, fashion and entertainment. Hip-hop culture has touched every single part of society, and there is no artist that better represents its far-reaching impact than Lil’ Kim. We’re so thrilled that Kim will help us curate the evening to bring a full, one-of-a-kind music experience to audiences in the city where it all began. We’re also excited to launch this event and our festival journey with our partners.”
LGBTQ 'Activists' who called Aretha Franklin's Natural Woman 'offensive to trans women' now claim it WAS 'SATIRE'
A Twitter account claiming to be run by trans activists has claimed their tweet criticizing Aretha Franklin's song 'Natural Woman' for being 'offensive to trans women' was nothing more than 'satire'.
The account, which calls itself 'The Trans Cultural Mindfulness Alliance', had criticized the 1967 song for being offensive and demanded that it be removed from both Apple and Spotify - despite it preaching positive messages regarding women.
But the account, claiming to be founded 'exclusively by trans individuals', rowed back on those tweets and claimed they are a parody account in a tweet and changed their bio - despite defiantly insisting they were a genuine group.
'It is satire, there's no actual TCMA that I'm parodying. It is a commentary on the state of the 'woke' movement in general,' a person who runs the account told DailyMail.com.
A Twitter account calling itself 'The Trans Cultural Mindfulness Alliance' had criticized the song recorded by Aretha Franklin (pictured) in 1967 for being offensive and demanded that it be removed from both Apple and Spotify - despite it preaching positive messages regarding women the user, who refused to give their real name, told iHeartRadio 'Never imagined anyone would take it seriously lol,' they said, adding it was intended as a commentary on 'woke' culture and 'media stupidity'.
But this is in direct contradiction to a since-deleted tweet in which the account claimed it was not a parody account. They had written: 'For clarification, the TCMA is not a parody organization,' adding that the organizers 'are a group of trans individuals seeking to make culture more fair for transgender individuals'.
The account has also since changed its bio information to include 'PARODY/SATIRE'.
The bio now reads: 'PARODY/SATIRE: Founded January 2023 exclusively by trans individuals, promoting cultural changes to ensure the inclusivity of trans individuals.'
Statements made by the account - which had defiantly claimed it was genuine and not a parody account - have spawned outrage, including its January 20 request to pull Franklin's song from streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.
The post, perceived by many as satire before the account claimed it was a parody account, began by asserting the song is offensive to transgender people and that 'there is no such thing as a 'natural' woman.'
'Aretha Franklin's 1968 song 'Natural Woman' perpetuates multiple harmful anti-trans stereotypes,' the post reads, erroneously listing the song's September 1967 release as coming in 1968.
'There is no such thing as a 'natural' woman,' the organization went on to declare, before claiming the song has already 'helped inspire acts of harm against transgender women.'
Statements made by the account (pictured) - which had defiantly claimed it was genuine and not a parody account - have spawned outrage, including its January 20 request to pull Franklin's song from streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music
Social media users were quick to question whether or not the account, started just days ago, was a joke designed to fan the flames fueling the ongoing war between progressives and the political right.
Other posts that would follow contained statements deemed by many to equally controversial - and some even more so.
'There have been zero meaningful studies into the gender identities of pets,' one post published later in the day read, in which organizers told parents that children should be able to decide on their pets' gender.
'It seems meaningless, but many children learn gender from their pets,' organizers wrote. 'Just because you bring home a 'gendered' pet, allow your child to choose the gender of the pet - don't assign it one 'at will.''
In another regarding feminine hygiene, organizers wrote: 'You do not need to bleed to have a period. You do not need to ovulate to have a period.
'A period is a state of mind than an actual state of being,' the post went on to state, before stating that biological men who have transitioned 'can absolutely have periods and need free hygiene products.'
Other requests aired by the organization included a ban on listing gender on birth certificates in its native Norway and 'an international police force to prosecute bigotry.'
Despite assertions from many that the group is legitimate, including from TCMA itself, many users remain skeptical, and believe the brazen requests are a gag.
The group, however, attested to its legitimacy in a post published Monday morning.
'For clarification, the TCMA is not a parody organization,' it read, adding that the organizers 'are a group of trans individuals seeking to make culture more fair for transgender individuals.
'We are based in Norway but are seeking to open a chapter in each European country and also North America,' the group revealed.
The 2023 Oscar Nominations: ‘Everything Everywhere’ Leads With 11 Nods!
“Everything Everywhere All at Once,” a twisty sci-fi adventure, led the nominations for the 95th Academy Awards on Tuesday morning, picking up 11 nods. It was followed closely behind by “All Quiet on the Western Front,” a World War I epic, and “The Banshees of Inisherin,” a darkly comic look at friendship that unfolds against the backdrop of the Irish civil war, both of which scored nine nominations.
All three films will vie for best picture, in what is shaping up to be a much more commercially-successful collection of honorees than recent years. The best picture race contains the two highest-grossing films of the year, “Avatar: The Way of Water” and “Top Gun: Maverick,” along with “Elvis,” a musical biopic that scored with audiences last summer. Other contenders include Steven Spielberg’s semi-autobiographical “The Fabelmans”;”Tár,” a drama about an abusive conductor; “Women Talking,” a look at the residents of a repressive religious community; and “Triangle of Sadness,” a send-up of the 1% that unfolds partly on a mega-yacht.
“Triangle of Sadness,” one of the most divisive films of the year, had a strong showing on Tuesday morning, capturing nominations for his screenplay and for the direction of Ruben Östlund, the Swedish filmmaker who dreamed up the satire. He will compete for the director prize against Spielberg, Todd Field (“Tár”), Martin McDonagh (“The Banshees of Inisherin”), and the directing duo of Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert (“Everything Everywhere All at Once”). It’s a category dominated entirely by men. The last two best director winners, Jane Campion (“The Power of the Dog”) and Chloe Zhao (“Nomadland”), have been women, and there were some hopes that “Women Talking’s” Sarah Polley might nab a best director nod.
The nominations were announced at a challenging time for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, the non-profit behind the awards, and the film business itself. Ratings for the Oscars have declined precipitously in recent years, imperiling the broadcast’s licensing fees, the leading source of revenue for the Academy. At the same time, adult-oriented movies such as “The Fabelmans,” “Tár” and “The Banshees of Inisherin” have struggled at the box office during the pandemic. Exacerbating the situation is the fact that streaming services, which helped fill the void left by the decline in theatrical revenues by providing a platform (and a blank check) for the artists behind them, are also shifting their priorities. Netflix, for instance, has signaled to Wall Street that it will keep content spending relatively flat while it focuses on increasing profits.
But everyone loves a comeback story, and this year’s Oscar season has included several of them. Ke Huy Quan, a former child actor best known for his work in “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom,” earned a best supporting actor nomination for his work in “Everything Everywhere All at Once.” A few years ago, Quan had given up on acting, convinced that his career in front of the camera was over. There’s also Brendan Fraser, a former action star whose career was derailed by health issues and personal struggles, but who has re-emerged as a powerful character actor with a transformative turn as a morbidly obese man in “The Whale.” He earned a nomination for best actor.
Both Fraser and Quan will spend the morning fielding congratulatory calls. Others won’t have much to celebrate. That’s because many of the year’s most heralded performances, a group that includes Viola Davis in “The Woman King,” Brad Pitt in “Babylon” and Danielle Deadwyler in “Till,” failed to make the final crop of contenders.
And there were some surprise inclusions, perhaps none more stunning than Andrea Riseborough, whose performance as an alcoholic woman in the little-seen indie “To Leslie” scored her a best actress nomination. Her candidacy was helped by an advocacy campaign involving A-list supporters such as Edward Norton, Gwyneth Paltrow, Charlize Theron and Cate Blanchett, who was also nominated for her performance in “Tár.” Riseborough and Blanchett join a best actress race that includes Ana de Armas (“Blonde”), Michelle Williams (“The Fabelmans”) and Michelle Yeoh (“Everything Everywhere All at Once”).
In addition to Fraser, the best actor race includes Austin Butler (“Elvis”), Colin Farrell (“The Banshees of Inisherin”), Bill Nighy (“Living”) and Paul Mescal (“Aftersun”). All five actors are first-time nominees, a distinction that they share with Yeoh, de Armas and Riseborough. Blanchett has won two Oscars and been nominated eight times. “The Fabelmans” marks Williams’ fifth nomination.
Jimmy Kimmel will return to host the Oscars, marking the late night comic’s third stint as emcee. He previously led the awards show in 2017 and 2018. Last year, the Oscars returned to a host format with Amy Schumer, Wanda Sykes and Regina Hall, after going host-less the previous two years. The 95th Oscars will be held on Sunday, March 12, 2023, at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood and will be televised live on ABC.

Tim Allen denies Pamela Anderson's book claim that he flashed her on 'Home Improvement' set
Pamela Anderson is opening up about her early experiences in the entertainment industry, including an unsettling encounter with a ‘90s sitcom star.
In her upcoming memoir "Love, Pamela," according to Variety, Anderson discusses booking the role of Lisa the Tool Time Girl on the family sitcom "Home Improvement," starring Tim Allen, Richard Karn and Patricia Richardson. Anderson appeared as Lisa for 23 episodes from 1991-1997.
While the role gave Anderson her first taste of major fame, the actress writes about an on-set interaction she had with Allen on the set of the ABC series.
"On the first day of filming, I walked out of my dressing room, and Tim was in the hallway in his robe. He opened his robe and flashed me quickly — completely naked underneath," per an excerpt from the book published Sunday by Variety, ahead of the book's Jan. 31 release. "He said it was only fair because he had seen me naked. Now we’re even. I laughed uncomfortably."

Must-read: Britney Spears, Pamela Anderson and the empowerment of taking back your narrative
In a statement provided to USA TODAY on Sunday by Allen's representative Marleah Leslie, Allen denied Anderson's allegation. "No, it never happened. I would never do such a thing," Allen said in the statement.
Anderson's allegation previews the unflinching honesty of "Love, Pamela," a memoir that will see the "Baywatch" bombshell and Playboy cover girl cast aside the glamorous façade to tell her life story, interspersed with original poetry.
An accompanying Netflix documentary, “Pamela, a love story,” is also set to drop Jan. 31.
Experts say it's important that high-profile women such as Anderson are finally taking back their narratives because doing so can be a crucial step in healing from trauma.
"It's your story to tell, and it doesn't belong to anyone else. So, when that's taken from you, it's painful. It's traumatic," Jessica MacNair, a licensed professional counselor, told USA TODAY in April. "So, for (Pamela) to reclaim that and do it on (her) own terms is inspiring and even healing."
Drake Pauses Concert at Apollo Theater After Man Falls From Balcony During Performance
This past weekend, Drake played two SiriusXM concerts at New York’s iconic Apollo Theater. As Insider notes, midway through the second event, the rapper paused the show after a man fell from the mezzanine balcony into the orchestra pit. Drake reportedly addressed the incident, telling the crowd, “Just gotta make sure somebody’s OK,” before a 15-minute break. In a statement shared with Pitchfork, a representative for the Apollo Theater explained:
Unfortunately, last evening an incident occurred with an audience member who landed in the orchestra from the lower mezzanine. Drake, Apollo, and SiriusXM halted the show immediately when learning of a potential fan injury and standard protocols were taken. They were seen immediately by EMS on site. The fan and other audience members reported that they were OK. No major injuries have been reported. The Apollo is investigating the situation further.
Drake ran through over 40 songs at his first Apollo concert and also brought out 21 Savage and members of Harlem’s Diplomats, according to Variety and The Associated Press. The concerts were originally scheduled to take place in November, but were postponed due to the memorial service for Migos’ Takeoff.
7 Dead, 1 Injured in Half Moon Bay Mass Shooting; Suspect in Custody
A motive for the deadly mass shooting – California's second in a matter of days – wasn't immediately known
Seven people were killed in a mass shooting that spanned two separate scenes in Half Moon Bay Monday afternoon, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office.
Four victims with gunshot wounds were found dead at about 2:22 p.m. at a nursery along the 12700 block of San Mateo Road (Highway 92), the sheriff's office said. Another shooting victim was taken to Stanford Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
Shortly after that discovery, three more shooting victims were found dead at another nursery along the 2100 block of Cabrillo Highway South, according to the sheriff's office.
Authorities identified the suspect as 67-year-old Half Moon Bay resident Chunli Zhao. He was taken into custody without incident at about 4:40 p.m. after he was found in his vehicle in the parking lot of the sheriff's office substation in Half Moon Bay, the sheriff's office said. A semi-automatic handgun was found in his car.

Zhao shot three of his victims in the trailers where they lived next to the field where they worked, and then gunned down two others in the field itself, officials said.
"They were farmworkers affected tonight. There were children on the scene of the incident. This is truly a heartbreaking incident in our community," said Supervisor Ray Mueller.
Resident Tom Watson describes the "scary" and "unsettling" scene in Half Moon Bay after a deadly shooting left at least seven dead
Authorities believe Zhao acted alone, San Mateo County Sheriff Christina Corpus said. A motive for the shooting spree wasn't immediately known.
The victims are believed to be workers on the properties, Corpus said. Half Moon Bay Councilmember Debbie Ruddock said the victims are Chinese farmworkers.
"This is a devastating tragedy for this community and the families touched by this unspeakable act of violence," Corpus said.
A family reunification center was set up at IDES Hall, which is located at 735 Main St. in Half Moon Bay.
State Assemblymember Evan Low spoke with NBC Bay Area's Jessica Aguirre and Raj Mathai about the Half Moon Bay mass shooting that left at least seven dead Monday.
The shootings in Half Moon Bay come on the heels of a weekend mass shooting in the Southern California city of Monterey Park that left 11 people dead.
"This kind of shooting is horrific," Corpus said. "It's a tragedy that we hear about far too often, but today it's hit home here in San Mateo County."
California Gov. Gavin Newsom said he was meeting with victims of the Monterey Park shooting when he learned about the mass shooting in Half Moon Bay.
"Tragedy upon tragedy," he said in a tweet.
Other local, state and federal leaders issued similar sentiments.

Jordan Brand To Celebrate The Notorious B.I.G. With Exclusive Air Jordan Retro 13 Auction
Jordan Brand is partnering with the Christopher Wallace Memorial Foundation to auction off 23 rare pairs of the Christopher Wallace Air Jordan 13.
Initially designed in 2017 to commemorate The NOTORIOUS B.I.G.’s 45th birthday, the unreleased sneakers were kept under wraps until lately. The year 2023, which reflects Michael Jordan’s renowned jersey number and the 50th anniversary of hip-hop, serves as the cornerstone for the relationship, culminating with the Jordan Year 2023 Campaign.
Because of the NOTORIOUS B.I.G.’s effect on hip-hop culture and beyond, 2023 is an appropriate year to communicate a message of self-belief with the globe. The sneakers, which have the shape of Wallace on the tongue and slogans celebrating the rapper’s dedication, will be available exclusively at Sotheby’s.
The sock liner is made of a classic red and black checkered flannel design, a look synonymous with The NOTORIOUS B.I.G. The famed statements “It was all a dream” and “If you didn’t know, now you know” are written on the tongue tag. The aglet is imprinted with the word “dream” on the shoelaces.
“This Air Jordan 13 has been reinterpreted to celebrate the legacy of The NOTORIOUS B.I.G., someone who reached for the stars, had the boldest of dreams, with the work ethic to back it up,” explained Reggie Saunders, Vice President of Entertainment Marketing for Jordan Brand.

Lady GaGa Praises 'Brave' Taylor Swift For Revealing Her Eating Disorder
Lady GaGa says Taylor Swift was "really brave" to reveal her eating disorder. The "Born This Way" singer, 36, praised her fellow performer, 33, after a clip resurfaced from Taylor's 2020 documentary "Miss Americana" that showed her talking for the first time about her past condition early in her career and previous body image issues.
Footage from the film shared by Taylor fans on TikTok showed the singer saying, "I don't care as much if somebody points out that I have gained weight, it's just something that makes my life better. The fact that I'm a size six instead of a size 00 - that wasn't how my body was supposed to be."
She went on sharing, "I just didn't really understand that at the time. I would have defended it to anybody who said, 'I'm concerned about you.' I was like, 'What are you talking about? Of course I eat, it's perfectly normal, I just exercise a lot.' And I did exercise a lot, but I wasn't eating. I don't think you know you're doing that when you’re doing it gradually. There's always some standard of beauty that you're not meeting, because if you're thin enough, then you don't have that a** that everybody wants. But if you have enough weight on you to have an a**, then your stomach isn't flat enough. It's all just f**king impossible."
GaGa, who has previously detailed her eating disorder battle, took to the comments section of an account that posted the video and said, "That's really brave everything you said, wow," adding a black heart emoji to her message. The video was shared by Taylor Swift fan account @angclswift and was captioned, "This scene always breaks my heart."
GaGa revealed in 2013 her fight with "anorexia and bulimia," saying on "Little Monsters" social media site she had struggled with an eating disorder from the age of 15.
Michael Strahan Makes Rare Appearance with Girlfriend Kayla Quick at Hollywood Walk of Fame Ceremony
Michael Strahan has been dating Kayla Quick for years and they finally have made another public appearance together!
The 51-year-old GMA host posed for a photo with Kayla, 31, while attending his Hollywood Walk of Fame star unveiling ceremony on Monday (January 23) in Los Angeles.
The couple has been together since 2015 and rarely ever make appearances together in public.
Michael was also joined by celebs like Robin Roberts, Terry Crews, and Wiz Khalifa.
“You kind of wake up and you’re here. But I’m happy I’m here, because I never thought I’d make it here. I was just living, I was just enjoying life, I was just working. I was just trying to enjoy everything that came my way,” he said at the ceremony (via ABC). “But you look and you wonder what’s your purpose. And I found out my purpose is pretty much people. My purpose is pretty much to enjoy life and to spread joy and spread happiness and to enjoy everything that comes your way and to make sure everyone in your life feels important.”
Will Smith Reportedly Set to Reprise Genie Role in 'Aladdin' Sequel
Will Smith may soon answer to his master's call again. The Oscar-winning actor is reportedly set to return for "Aladdin" sequel, reprising his role as Genie from the 2019 Disney musical fantasy film.
Based on the "One Thousand And One Nights" series of Middle Eastern folk tales, the script for the upcoming movie is being written. Details are still scarce, but the hope reportedly is that filming could begin at the end of this year.
"This would be one of the first movies Will has shot since the Oscars slap and it is quite surprising, given that it will be for a kids' film," a so-called movie insider says of Smith's acting return since his controversial behavior at the 2022 Academy Awards. "He has done a lot of work on himself and the consensus is that it will all be very much in the past by the time the movie is released."
"The first film was a huge success so it would be silly not to make another, and it would be a real shame to have to re-cast Will over what happened," the source weighed in. "So Disney is keen to stand by him and bring him back into the fold."
Other cast members, such as Mena Massoud, who stars as Aladdin, and Naomi Scott, who plays Jasmine, in the first movie, are reportedly also eager to return for the second installment.
Asked in December 2022 if he knew what was happening with the film, Massoud shared, "There was a change with the writers, and they are working on a new draft. If 'Aladdin 2' happens, that's fantastic. It should happen." He went on dishing, "It's not going to be based off the animated version. This is going to be a new original story."
In the same month, Guy Ritchie, who directed "Aladdin", was also asked about the possibility of asking Smith to return for the sequel amid rumors that Dwayne "The Rock" John might replace him in the role following the Oscars slap drama. The helmer, however, still favors the "King Richard" star and wants to keep him in the role.
"I've never met a more lovely man, and working with him was one of the most wonderful, great experiences I've ever had. I never saw anything other than the consummate, generous gentleman," the filmmaker gushed over Smith. "I wouldn't have any issue casting Will Smith in anything, because, as I say, he was just the f**king perfect gentleman."
Smith has been slowly regaining public's trust after he slapped Chris Rock at last year's Oscars over the latter's joke about Jada Pinkett Smith's shaved head. Despite his apologies, he's banned from attending the Academy Awards for ten years.
Actor Jonathan Majors Refuses to Leave Black Journalist After Being Rushed Away On the Red Carpet
Jonathan Majors is receiving credit for standing up for a Black reporter during an interview on the red carpet at the Sundance Film Festival over the weekend. The “Lovecraft Country” star finished the interview despite a festival staff member trying to rush him away from the interview, citing time.
As journalist Daric L. Cottingham interviewed the “Devotion” actor, a staff person from the festival interjected and tried to end the interview just as Cottingham was finishing up.
“Guys, I’m sorry. We really need to go,” said the staff member as Cottingham tried to explain they were almost done. A publicist intervened and also explained the interview was nearly complete.
“Sir, I know. I understand,” said the publicist. “We’re going to get him to the stage, but it’s just this one interview.”
The back and forth continued until Cottingham noted the interview would have been finished had it not been interrupted. That’s when Majors intervened and defended Cottingham.
“Let’s go, let’s go,” said Majors, indicating for the reporter to finish the interview. “If he physically removes me … I’m just gonna, he can’t move us,” he said to the publicist.
Cottingham shared the interruption on Twitter with a caption noting how kind the actor was during the interview.
“Also, this happened and Jonathan Majors is so nice/kind & stood up for me to make sure I got my question answered. lol the life of a Black journalist.”
Cottingham also noted on Twitter that other journalists at the event had already been instructed that they were limited to two questions and were asking the second question when they were interrupted.
“Hi! Um came back to see this spread,” wrote Cottingham. “Some think I was in the wrong somehow. I was not. We were already told there was a time crunch & a limit of 2 questions, perfect. Time got tighter so 1 question, cool. I began asking my question and this happened. I followed what I was told.”
Fans commented on the video, with several mentioning they deemed as the disrespect Black journalists face in the entertainment industry.
“This is the life of Black people in the entertainment industry,” noted one fan. “Even though we’re widely revered as actors and musicians we’re treated like afterthoughts as people.”
Another fan pointed out how much time the staff member wasted trying to interrupt the interview.
“That man basically wasted time telling them to stop their interview when he could have let them use that time finishing their set. What a power-hungry moron. I hope his boss lets him know that was totally unprofessional. And rude AF!”
Other fans left comments about how Majors handled the situation. “Mr. Majors a real respectful and respectable dude,” replied one fan.
“The way he looked him up and down,” added another fan. “We love this man,” echoed another.
The Sundance Film Festival concludes on Jan. 29.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the line was previewed on Sunday, the day after Beyoncé’s performance in Dubai at Nobu by the Beach at the Atlantis Royal.
The drop comes days after the release of the Ivy Park x Adidas TT 2000, a reimagining of the Top Ten 200 sneaker made famous by the late Kobe Bryant. It served as a glimpse into the collection’s vibrant color palette, which includes “White Sands,” “Mojave,” and the cleverly dubbed “Sol Ange.”
Ivy Park has enlisted the likes of Offset and his son Kodi, actress Devon Aoki, and Ice Spice for its campaign.
Park Trail will be available in Adidas stores and online on Feb. 9, and hits select retailers the following day.
Doja Cat Trends Due To Bizarre Paris Fashion Week Outfit
Doja Cat has taken the fashion world and social media by storm after appearing at a Paris Fashion Week show in a look that took five hours to pull together.
The “Get Into It” rapper attended the Maison Schiaparelli Haute Couture FW23 show in one of the fashion house’s high-end looks: a red dress comprising a silk faille bustier, a hand-knit skirt covered in lacquered wooden beads, and matching knee-high boots, according to the designer’s official Instagram account.
What has gotten fans’ attention, however, is the makeup Doja paired with the gown. To complete the look dubbed “Doja’s Inferno,” her skin was covered in red paint from head to toe, to which 30,000 Swarovski crystals were applied, mirroring the skirt’s texture on her upper body and face.
The avant-garde outfit was designed by Schiaparelli creative director Daniel Rosebury, while artist Pat McGrath conceptualized the makeup, which, she revealed in an Instagram post, took four hours and 58 minutes to apply.
“Such a pleasure working with the gorgeous @DojaCat and the amazing @DanielRoseberry on the ‘Doja’s Inferno’ look for @Schiaparelli’s FW23 Haute Couture collection,” McGrath wrote along with footage of her finished work.
“Doja’s sublime patience during the 4 hours and 58 minutes it took to create the look with #TeamPatMcGrath, which was covered in over 30,000 hand-applied @swarovski Crystals, was inspiring,” she continued. “The final product was a magical, mesmerising masterpiece of sparkling brilliance. xx”
In a later post, McGrath shared a behind the scenes look at the intense process that saw no less than five stylists at a time working to, first, cover Doja Cat’s buzz cut pink and blond hair to create a bald surface; then begin to paint her skin before applying the crystals by hand.
“#patmcgrathlabs is PLEASED to PRESENT a fusion of front row with runway, a legendary look inspired by a major persona: @dojacat,” read the BTS caption. “Covered in over 30,000 hand-applied @swarovski Crystals, ‘DOJA’S INFERNO’ celebrates the essence of haute couture with shimmering, sublime sparkle.”
While they weren’t quite as intricate, Doja Cat’s New York Fashion Week outfits made similar headlines last fall, as documented by NYLON. Weeks later, she appeared at the previous Paris Fashion Week in October with her face and neck covered in gold paint at the A.W.A.K.E Mode; and as a blue-and-white faced alien for another event.
In November, Doja said she feels incredibly beautiful with a shaved head and wants her fans to know that they don’t need to try so hard in order to feel the same way.
As the cover star on that month’s issue of Dazed magazine, Doja said in the accompanying interview that shaving her head and eyebrows was an idea that came naturally to her over the summer and that she initially did it for fun, though fans were divided on the new look.
“I have never felt more beautiful in my entire life, which is very strange,” she said. “I felt beautiful when I had long hair. I definitely felt like a hot girl then, but I always do. There’s something so exhilarating about change; [it] showed me a different side of myself. I feel so new, fresh and sexy. I also feel better without make-up: having this bare head and so little make-up is a fun experience. It’s new, and I love it.”
She did however admit that it took her a few moments to get used to her new look at first.
Girls Trip 2 is Happening! Full Cast Will Reunite for an Adventure in Ghana
The highly anticipated sequel to “Girls Trip” is on the way, and they’ll be taking their escapades to Ghana this time.
Tracy Oliver, who co-wrote the movie with Kenya Barris, confirmed the exciting news in an interview with Variety at the Sundance Film Festival. Oliver also said that producer Will Packer “might kill me” for sharing the possible location for the sequel.
Regina Hall, Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett-Smith, and Tiffany Haddish will all reprise their roles in the acclaimed film.
Oliver revealed that the sequel would follow the ladies in the West African country as they potentially attend the Afrochella festival, Ghana’s annual cultural and music event that mimics Coachella.
While it appears that there’s no definitive timeline yet, Oliver revealed that she is still crafting the script, but the film is indeed happening. “It’s officially happening. I can say that,” Oliver said.
In a previous interview with ET, Queen Latifah shared that she was hoping the cast go somewhere warm for the sequel. “I mean, I wanna go to, like, Brazil… or I’m hearing South Africa,” she shared. “I mean, I’m down to go where it’s warm and where there’s a beach! But with the girls, it doesn’t matter. I know it’s gonna be fun.”
The R-rated comedy was a massive success, grossing $140.9 million against a budget of almost $20 million when it was released in 2017.
Directed by Malcolm D. Lee, “Girls Trip” follows four girlfriends, collectively known as the Flossy Posse, who reunite for a trip to Essence festival after spending several years apart.
Lee previously told EW in 2018 that a sequel was very much on everyone’s mind, but it has to “be a bit bigger” than its predecessor. “It has to be just as good, just as funny, just as outrageous, and that takes time. . . we don’t want to do it if it’s not going to be great. We want to make sure that it’s a quality piece of work.”
Maya Rudolph To Replace The “Spokescandies” In M&M Campaigns Following Gender Neutral Backlash
Maya Rudolph has a new gig with M&M’s, and that is to restore order after the backlash from the “spokescandies” rebranded appearances last year.
If you recall, people were in an uproar when the candy brand gave their animated characters a gender-neutral makeover. The green M&M went from rocking high-heeled boots to sneakers, while the brown M&M got a fresh pair of white Easter Sunday pumps. The new images were printed on the candy packages, and though Mars, the parent company, was working to be inclusive of every customer, people had an issue with it.
In a statement shared on the M&M Instagram page, the company admitted that they weren’t sure if many people would even notice the character’s wardrobe change. But, living in the internet age, consumers tend to catch everything. Therefore, M&M has placed its spokescandies on the shelf and introduced Randolph as a replacement.
“We are confident Ms. Rudolph will champion the power of fun to create a world where everyone feels they belong,” the statement read. In a separate IG post, they called the actress the “Chief of Fun.”
The “Saturday Night Live” alumni, who happens to be a “lifelong lover” of the chocolate-coated peanuts, said being the face of the campaign was an honor.
“I think little Maya would be thrilled to get to work with M&M’s,” she told “Today.”
Randolph will appear in commercials and other social media marketing materials. Have no fear, the spokescandies will still make the occasional appearance.
Uh Oh? Classified documents found at Pence’s Indiana home
A lawyer for former Vice President Mike Pence discovered about a dozen documents marked as classified at Pence’s Indiana home last week, and he has turned those classified records over to the FBI, multiple sources familiar with the matter told CNN.
The FBI and the Justice Department’s National Security Division have launched a review of the documents and how they ended up in Pence’s house in Indiana.
The classified documents were discovered at Pence’s new home in Carmel, Indiana, by a lawyer for Pence in the wake of the revelations about classified material discovered in President Joe Biden’s private office and residence, the sources said. The discovery comes after Pence has repeatedly said he did not have any classified documents in his possession.
It is not yet clear what the documents are related to or their level of sensitivity or classification.
Pence’s team notified congressional leaders and relevant committees of the discovery on Tuesday.
Pence asked his lawyer to conduct the search of his home out of an abundance of caution, and the attorney began going through four boxes stored at Pence’s house last week, finding a small number of documents with classified markings, the sources said.
Pence’s lawyer immediately alerted the National Archives, the sources said. In turn, the Archives informed the Justice Department.
A lawyer for Pence told CNN that the FBI requested to pick up the documents with classified markings that evening, and Pence agreed. Agents from the FBI’s field office in Indianapolis picked up the documents from Pence’s home, the lawyer said.
On Monday, Pence’s legal team drove the boxes back to Washington, DC, and handed them over to the Archives to review the rest of the material for compliance with the Presidential Records Act.
In a letter to the National Archives obtained by CNN, Pence’s representative to the Archives Greg Jacob wrote that a “small number of documents bearing classified markings” were inadvertently boxed and transported to the vice president’s home.
“Vice President Pence was unaware of the existence of sensitive or classified documents at his personal residence,” Jacob wrote. “Vice President Pence understands the high importance of protecting sensitive and classified information and stands ready and willing to cooperate fully with the National Archives and any appropriate inquiry.”
The classified material was stored in boxes that first went to Pence’s temporary home in Virginia before they were moved to Indiana, according to the sources. The boxes were not in a secure area, but they were taped up and were not believed to have been opened since they were packed, according to Pence’s attorney. Once the classified documents were discovered, the sources said they were placed inside a safe located in the house.
Pence’s Washington, DC, advocacy group office was also searched, Pence’s lawyer said, and no classified material or other records covered by the Presidential Records Act was discovered.
The news about Pence come as special counsels investigate the handling of classified documents by both Biden and former President Donald Trump. The revelations also come amid speculation that Pence is readying for a run at the Republican nomination for president in 2024.
Since the FBI searched Trump’s home in Florida for classified material in August with a search warrant, Pence has said that he had not retained any classified material upon leaving office. “No, not to my knowledge,” he told The Associated Press in August.
In November, Pence was asked by ABC News at his Indiana home whether he had taken any classified documents from the White House.
“I did not,” Pence responded.
“Well, there’d be no reason to have classified documents, particularly if they were in an unprotected area,” Pence continued. “But I will tell you that I believe there had to be many better ways to resolve that issue than executing a search warrant at the personal residence of a former president of the United States.”
While Pence’s vice presidential office in general did a rigorous job while he was leaving office of sorting through and turning over any classified material and unclassified material covered by the Presidential Records Act, these classified documents appear to have inadvertently slipped through the process because most of the materials were packed up separately from the vice president’s residence, along with Pence’s personal papers, the sources told ClNN.
The vice president’s residence at the US Naval Observatory in Washington has a secure facility for handling classified material along with other security, and it would be common for classified documents to be there for the vice president to review.
Some of the boxes at Pence’s Indiana home were packed up from the vice president’s residence, while some came from the White House in the final days of the Trump administration, which included last-minute things that did not go through the process the rest of Pence’s documents did.
The discovery of classified documents in Pence’s residence marks the third time in recent history in which a president or vice president has inappropriately possessed classified material after leaving office. Both Biden and Trump are now being investigated by separate special counsels for their handling of classified materials.
Sources familiar with the process say Pence’s discovery of classified documents after the Trump and Biden controversies would suggest a more systemic problem related to classified material and the Presidential Records Act, which requires official records from the White House to be turned over to the National Archives at the end of an administration.
On Friday, the FBI searched Biden’s Wilmington residence for additional classified material, an unprecedented search of a sitting president’s home that turned up six additional items containing classified markings. The search was conducted after Biden’s lawyers discovered classified material in Wilmington following the initial discovery of classified documents at Biden’s private think office in November.
Biden’s attorneys say they are fully cooperating with the Justice Department, seeking to draw a distinction from the Trump investigation.
The FBI obtained a search warrant to search Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in August. Federal investigators took that step because they believed Trump had not turned over all classified material despite a subpoena and were concerned records at Mar-a-Lago were being moved around.
Last week, Pence told Larry Kudlow in a Fox Business interview that he received the President’s Daily Brief at the vice president’s residence.
“I’d rise early. I’d go to the safe where my military aide would place those classified materials. I’d pull them out, review them,” Pence said. “I’d receive a presentation to them and then, frankly, more often than not Larry, I would simply return them back to the file that I’d received them in. They went in commonly into what was called a burn bag that my military aide would gather and then destroy those classified materials—same goes in materials that I would receive at the White House.”
AND FINALLY FROM “THE CRAZY PEOPLE SHOPPING AT WALMART” FILES
HAVE A GREAT DAY ALL!!!
