Lisa Marie Presley the only child of Elvis Presley has died at 54
Lisa Marie Presley — the only child of Elvis Presley — died Thursday after being hospitalized earlier that day, her mother said in a statement. The singer was 54.
“It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us,” Priscilla Presley said in a statement Thursday evening. “She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I have ever known.”
The announcement came just hours after Priscilla Presley had confirmed that Lisa Marie Presley was rushed to the hospital earlier Thursday.
Los Angeles County paramedics were dispatched to a Calabasas home at 10:37 a.m. following a report of a woman in full cardiac arrest, according to Craig Little, a spokesperson for the county’s fire department. Property records indicate Presley was a resident at that address.
Paramedics arrived about six minutes later, Little said. A subsequent statement from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said paramedics performed CPR and “determined the patient had signs of life” before taking her to a hospital in nearby West Hills immediately.
The city of Calabasas is nestled between the foothills of the Santa Monica and the Santa Susanna Mountains, about 30 miles (50 kilometers) northwest of downtown Los Angeles.
News of Presley’s hospitalization was first reported by TMZ and later confirmed by People magazine.
Presley, 54, attended the Golden Globes on Tuesday, on hand to celebrate Austin Butler’s award for playing her father in “Elvis.” She called his performance “mind-blowing” during a red carpet interview with “Entertainment Tonight.”
“I really didn’t know what to do with myself after I saw it,” she told ET of Baz Luhrmann’s movie. “I had to take, like, five days to process it because it was so incredible and so spot on and just so authentic that, yeah, I can’t even describe what it meant.”
Just days before that, she was in Memphis, Tennessee, at Graceland — the mansion where Elvis lived — to celebrate her father’s birth anniversary on Jan. 8.
Kristen Sainato and her husband were visiting Memphis from Cleveland when she heard the news of Presley’s death on Thursday. She wore a black jacket with the well-known TCB lightning bolt (shorthand for (taking care of business in a flash) on the back as she described meeting Presley at a celebration of her father’s birthday on Jan. 8 at Graceland. Sainato set down a bouquet of flowers at the front gate of Graceland.
“Those are for Lisa,” she said. She said Lisa Marie Presley was one of the last connections to her famous father.
“Everyone is shocked over this. Why? Why did this have to happen?” Sainato said, wiping tears from her eyes as she stood in front of the stone wall that borders the home-turned museum. “She deserved a long, happy life.”
Presley had recently penned an essay published in People about “the horrific reality” of her grief following her son Benjamin Keough’s death by suicide in 2020. Presley is also the mother of actor Riley Keough and twin daughters.
“I’ve dealt with death, grief and loss since the age of 9 years old. I’ve had more than anyone’s fair share of it in my lifetime and somehow, I’ve made it this far,” she wrote in August.

#NewMusic from Maysa ‘I Don't Mind’
The Chocolate Songbird from Baltimore Maysa has kicked 2023 off with new music with the release of her latest single “I Don’t Mind” on New Year’s Day. The track is lifted from her forthcoming 14th solo album, Music For Your Soul, which will be released in March and showcases more of the jazzy soul musings about love that have made her beloved around the world.
“I Don’t Mind” is co-written by Maysa, Damon Bennett and her long-time collaborator, Incognito’s bandleader Jean-Paul “Bluey” Maunick. Over a soul-soothing mid-tempo groove led by bass, percussion and guitar, Maysa takes on the role of a woman who’s waited patiently for someone to love. Her patience paid off, and the man of her dreams has finally arrived.
“You took your time, and I don’t mind / Love the way you are, so unconventional / You got here late, but I don’t mind / Love the way you are, it’s unconditional,” she reflects on the chorus. She may not have been feeling love’s timetable, but she’s absolutely smitten and going with the flow.

“I Don’t Mind” is the fourth and final single from Maysa’s Music For Your Soul. The collection will be a double album and feature previously released songs “Just Stay,” her sensational Stevie Wonder cover “Make Sure You’re Sure” and “Whatever.”
Music For Your Soul holds the distinction as Maysa’s first fully independent album on her own label Blue Velvet Soul Records. Make sure you pick up at all streaming services!
#HipHopNews: Cardi B And Offset Team Up For McDonald's Super Bowl Commercial
Cardi B and Offset are bringing their love to the Super Bowl. The superstar couple is reportedly teaming up with McDonald’s for a Valentine’s Day-themed commercial that will air during the big game on Feb. 12.
Sources tell TMZ that they shot the ad over the Christmas holiday with a small crew. The couple’s kids, Kulture and Wave, were not present during the shoot.
“The scale of the ad is going to be huge, and it’s expected to make a splash on game day,” according to the report.
This is the latest Super Bowl ad for Cardi, who starred in her own commercial for Pepsi in 2019.
The Super Bowl holds a special place in the couple’s heart. Offset took Cardi on their first date to Super Bowl LI in Houston in February 2017. Just seven months later, they secretly wed.
“I lost $10,000 that night, too,” Offset recalled during his appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” “But you know what I won? My wife.”
Both Cardi and Offset have new music on the way. Cardi will finally release her long-awaited sophomore album this year, while Offset is also readying his delayed solo album. On Friday, he is set to release a new single with Hit-Boy.
Phaedra Parks’ Ex-Husband Apollo Nida Marries Longtime Girlfriend Sherien Almufti
Apollo Nida recently tied the knot with his girlfriend after seven years of being divorced from former RHOA star Phaedra Parks.
TMZ reported that Apollo and his new wife, Sherien Almufti, got hitched in Atlanta during a small church ceremony with family and friends back in October.
Following his 2016 divorce from Parks, Apollo claims he and his ex-wife “turned a new leaf” and are now co-parenting much better and are no longer arguing.
Apollo and his new wife said that after meeting ten years ago, they had reached a point in their life where they wanted to go on and take the next step.
Whitney Houston Estate Slams Jerrod Carmichael's Golden Globes Joke
Whitney Houston’s estate is not happy with a joke made at the late singer’s expense at the Golden Globes.
During Tuesday’s show, host Jerrod Carmichael brought up Houston’s 2012 death at the Beverly Hilton hotel, the same location as the Globes.
“We are pressed for time but they wanted me to shout out the venue that we’re in. So we are here live from the hotel that killed Whitney Houston, the Beverly Hilton, you guys, so that’s very exciting,” the comedian said.
Some audience members laughed while others gasped. Carmichael faced backlash on social media following the distasteful remark.
It’s unknown whether NBC was aware of the joke beforehand or if it was spontaneous. Whitney’s camp was not given a heads up prior to the show.
Now Pat Houston, the singer’s sister-in-law and longtime manager, is speaking out amid the controversy. “The Whitney Houston Estate is disappointed in the joke and felt it was in poor taste,” she told TMZ.
Houston was found dead in bathtub at the Beverly Hilton hotel on Feb. 11, 2012, the night before the Grammys. Her death was ruled as an accidental drowning, with heart disease and cocaine use as contributing factors.
In another controversial moment during the Golden Globes, Carmichael made a joke about Tom Cruise and Shelly Miscavige, the wife of the head of Scientology, who hasn’t been seen in public since 2007.
“Backstage I found the awards that Tom Cruise returned,” he said. “I think, maybe, we take these three things and exchange them for the safe return of Shelly Miscavige.”
Naomi Osaka announces pregnancy: 'Every day is a new blessing and adventure'
Two-time US Open champion Naomi Osaka will become a mother later this year: The 25-year-old former world No. 1 announced her pregnancy in a social media post on Wednesday.
"Can't wait to get back on the court, but here's a little life update for 2023," Osaka wrote in a Twitter post accompany a photo of an ultrasound.
Osaka joins several high-profile current and former WTA world No. 1s who've announced pregnancies in recent months. Angelique Kerber announced hers just prior to the start of last summer's US Open, and recently-retired three-time Grand Slam champion Ashleigh Barty, who said farewell to tennis last March, revealed last week that she and husband Garry Kissick will also welcome their first child later this year.
Osaka's quiet beginning to 2023 had been the source of much discussion and speculation in both tennis and general sports media in the first two weeks of the year. The Australian Open, which begins Monday at Melbourne Park, officially announced Osaka's withdrawal over the weekend, but no reason was given at the time.
She says she hopes to come back stronger than ever after giving birth, joining other Grand Slam champions including Victoria Azarenka, Kim Clijsters and Serena Williams who've traveled the tour with their children.
"These few months away from the sport has really given me a new love and appreciation for the game I've dedicated my life to," she added.
"I know that I have so much to look forward to in the future; one thing I'm looking forward to is for my kid to watch some of my matches and tell someone, 'That's my mom.'
"2023 will be a year that'll be full of lessons for me, and I hope I'll see you guys at the start of of the next one 'cause I'll be at Aus 2024."
The four-time major winner played only 23 matches in 2022, going 14-9, and her season highlight was a runner-up finish at the Miami Open last spring. She's currently ranked No. 47. She last played at the Toray Pan Pacific Open in Tokyo in September.
Guitar Legend Jeff Beck Dies At 78
Jeff Beck had died at the age of 78. According to a statetemtn, the influential rock guitarist "peacefully passed away" on Tuesday, January 10, after contracting bacterial meningitis.
Posted his official Twitter page, the statement reads, "On behalf of his family, it is with deep and profound sadness that we share the news of Jeff Beck's passing. After suddenly contracting bacterial meningitis, he peacefully passed away yesterday. His family ask for privacy while they process this tremendous loss."
Beck shot to fame as part of the Yardbirds in the 60s. The legendary guitarist replaced Eric Clapton in the group, before he teamed up with Sir Rod Stewart to form the Jeff Beck Group. Beck's innovative approach to making music influenced a host of well-known artists during the 60s and beyond, including Sir Paul McCartney and Jimi Hendrix.
However, he later confessed that his pioneering use of feedback was actually developed by accident. He explained "That came as an accident. We played larger venues, around about '64-'65, and the PA was inadequate. So we cranked up the level and then found out that feedback would happen. I started using it because it was controllable - you could play tunes with it. I did this once at Staines Town Hall with the Yardbirds and afterwards, this guy says, 'You know that funny noise that wasn't supposed to be there? I'd keep that in if I were you.' So I said, 'It was deliberate mate. Go away'."
Beck actually put his career on hold in the 70s, after he fractured his skull in a car accident. But after returning to the music business, he took the decision to pursue a career as a solo artist. He recorded the album "Blow By Blow" with The Beatles producer George Martin, while he also collaborated with the likes of Nile Rodgers and Sir Mick Jagger. Beck won eight Grammy awards during his career and he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2009.
Antonio Brown's Alleged Domestic Abuse Victim Claims He Sent Her Son 'Explicit Videos' In 911 Call
A new detail surrounding Antonio Brown's domestic abuse case has emerged on the Internet. A 911 call heard a woman, who accused AB of domestic violence, telling a Tampa Police Department dispatcher that the NFL free agent sent her son "explicit videos."
On Wednesday, January 11, TMZ released the audio made by the alleged domestic violence victim. Speaking to the officer, the woman said she and the 34-year-old footballer had a "little argument"' in which her personal belongings were thrown out of their home in Tampa, Florida on November 28, 2022.
The woman then told the dispatcher that AB "started throwing a fit" that morning, which resulted in her leaving the house with the children before it "escalated into anything violent."
She then said that he was "throwing her clothes out of the house" and was "sending explicit videos" to her son. The woman, who is allegedly the mother of his four kids, also claimed that AB "smashed [her] computer." Later on the phone, she could be heard warning AB, "This is not legal! You might want to go inside. You better hide out!"
A second 911 call was also made, with someone purporting to be a neighbor referencing a "possible domestic violence case," saying the mother and her children had been "thrown" out of the house and were "too scared to go back inside."
The audio surfaced on the Internet only a few days after an arrest warrant issued against AB was withdrawn. Officials confirmed on December 21, 2022 that the athlete is no longer a wanted man according to a notice of termination of the prosecution that was filed by the Florida State Attorney's Office.
The State Attorney's Office also stated that the alleged victim recanted her story to them during a follow-up interview. Following the woman's new statement, prosecutors said they "determined we could not prove beyond a reasonable doubt a battery took place." The SAO explained, "As a result, a letter of release was issued, which formalizes the SAO's decision not to prosecute and withdraws the previously issued arrest warrant."
Of the alleged domestic violence incident, police said the altercation quickly escalated into physical abuse, as AB allegedly threw a shoe at her and struck her "in the ponytail." In a statement, the officer stated, "The victim had no injuries but believed the shoe was meant for her head."
AB reportedly tried to evict the victim from the residence and locked her out. Police allegedly arrived at the scene but AB refused to speak with them. According to Fox 13 News, the footballer locked himself inside the house and allegedly threatened to shoot the victim if she attempted to re-enter.
It's said that Tampa Bay PD previously requested a temporary risk protection order against AB, which would prevent him from possessing firearms or ammunition if he posed a significant threat to himself or others. A judge, however, denied the request that would have prevented AB from accessing firearms or ammunition on November 29.
Samuel L. Jackson Gets Into 'Fight' With Longtime Wife At Theater Gala
Samuel L. Jackson and his wife LaTanya Richardson apparently had some behind-the-scenes drama during their recent public appearance together. The actor and his longtime spouse reportedly got into a fight while attending a theater gala earlier this week.
The Jacksons were set to be honored at the Theatre Communications Group gala on Monday night, January 9, but he ended up leaving early following an argument. They reportedly had a spat while in the press room, prompting Sam to leave.
A spy at the event told Page Six of the pair, "They apparently were in a fight when they arrived. They posed for pictures together and then the fight [went on]." Another eyewitness said the couple was in a tiff in the press room at the Edison Ballroom in Midtown and the "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." actor seemed to be annoyed.
The first source noted that Sam exited the event before the couple was honored, and that "LaTanya accepted solo." An event organizer, however, insisted that he was never meant to stay for the whole thing anyway. Vanessa Williams was on hand to present the award that night.
Explaining Samuel's absence during the award presentation, a rep for the gala said, "As the top-billed star of 'The Piano Lesson', Mr. Jackson is extraordinarily cautious about the risk putting the production in jeopardy by exposing himself to COVID-19. Ms. Jackson accepted on behalf of both she and her husband simply to minimize his risk of exposure."
"Mr. Jackson had only ever planned on doing photos and then leaving, as everyone involved with planning the event knew in advance," the spokesman added. "It was a magical evening, and they helped raise a record haul of more than $300,000 to support TCG's mission of creating a more just and equitable theater ecology."
It's unclear what caused the reported argument between the couple in the first place. Things looked okay between the two when they posed together on the red carpet, with both of them flashing a smile while the 74-year-old actor was placing his hand on his wife's shoulder.
Sam and LaTanya, who is an actress and producer, have been married since 1980. They have a daughter named Zoe, who was born in 1982.
‘Abbott Elementary’ Is getting a Season 3 Renewal At ABC
Abbott Elementary is getting another go at ABC. The comedy series has been renewed for a third season.
The news comes during ABC’s Television Critics Association panel, just a day after Season 1 scored three Golden Globe wins at Tuesday night’s ceremony, including acting honors for Quinta Brunson and Tyler James Williams.
The Emmy winning series is currently in its second season, which returned on January 4. Season 2 has averaged a 3.58 rating in the advertiser-targeted 18-49 demographic after 35 days of multi-platform viewing, which is a 31% increase from Season 1, according to ABC. It’s also up 13% in viewership, delivering an average of 9.1M viewers per episode in MP35.
“This renewal is a richly deserved feather in the cap of Quinta Brunson, Justin Halpern, Patrick Schumacker, and Randall Einhorn, as well as the rest of the cast and crew of Abbott Elementary. Each week, this talented group of artists celebrates true unsung heroes — public school teachers. And for some extra icing on the renewal cake, our favorite group of teachers was honored this morning with two Screen Actors Guild Award nominations and last night with three Golden Globe Awards. Abbott Elementary is the gift that keeps on giving, and I look forward to many more magnificent episodes of this brilliant, authentic, and just plain funny series,” said Channing Dungey, Chairman and CEO, Warner Bros. Television Group.
Abbott Elementary is a co-production with Warner Bros Television Group and 20th Television.
The series follows a group of dedicated, passionate teachers — and a slightly tone-deaf principal — are brought together in a Philadelphia public school where, despite the odds stacked against them, they are determined to help their students succeed in life. Though these incredible public servants may be outnumbered and underfunded, they love what they do — even if they don’t love the school district’s less-than-stellar attitude toward educating children.
Brunson created the series and stars as Janine Teagues, alongside Williams, Janelle James, Lisa Ann Walter, Chris Perfetti, William Stanford Davis, and Sheryl Lee Ralph.
Brunson also executive produces the series. Additional executive producers are Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacker of Delicious Non-Sequitur Productions, and Randall Einhorn.
In a new episode airing Wednesday, the Abbott Elementary faculty find themselves learning lessons in teamwork during a day of touchdowns and missed plays. Two of Janine’s students aren’t getting along in class, leading her to seek advice from her colleagues on how to help repair their friendship. Meanwhile, Melissa and Ava plot to bring down Mr. Johnson in fantasy football.
Carole Cook, Stage, Screen And TV Actress, Dies At 98
Actress Carole Cook, whose prolific career on stage, TV and movies spanned more than 50 years, has died at age 98.
Cook was known for many roles, among them the grandmother in "16 Candles," a potential client of Richard Gere in "American Gigolo" and a dairy farmer in Disney's animated film "Home on the Range."
Over the years, she also helped raise money and awareness for those battling HIV and AIDS.
Cook died of heart failure Thursday, just three days shy of her 99th birthday.
She was born Mildred Frances Cook but her good friend Lucille Ball suggested she borrow a new stage name from Carole Lombard.
Cook was also a favorite of the theater - and the second woman to star in a production of "Hello, Dolly" after Carole Channing.
The role came with age and she relished it.
"You don't have to fight for it. You've lived it," she told ABC7's George Pennacchio. "And, honey, I could still wear that red dress and fly around that stage."
She was a frequent guest on Lucy's shows and many others, including "Dynasty," "Cagney & Lacey," "Charlie's Angels," and "Grey's Anatomy."
She continued acting into her 90s, appearing on an episode of "Major Crimes" in 2014.
Cook is survived by her husband, actor and writer Tom Troupe, whom she married in 1964.
Donald Glover confirms new music under his Childish Gambino moniker
Donald Glover said he’s back making music, and he’s not retiring his artist name, Childish Gambino. On Tuesday (Jan. 10), the musician-turned-actor appeared at the 80th Annual Golden Globe Awards, where he was nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series.
Before the ceremony, E! News caught up with the entertainment star, and he revealed that he has new music on the way.
“I’m making music right now,” he said. “I love it. I’m actually in the studio. I’ve been bringing people in, like secret people, working on little things. I’ve been just making it for fun right now. But soon something will happen. I promise.”
In 2017, Glover told the HuffPost that he’ll be putting his nickname “Childish Gambino” to rest, but at the Golden Globes, he retracted that statement. “That was out in the ethos,” he confirmed. “You don’t have to worry about that. He’ll be back. He’s here right now.”
As far as his television career, Glover recently ended the fourth season of his self-created series “Atlanta.” The FX show accomplished a lot, including winning two Golden Globe Awards for Best Television Series. In 2017, he won a Golden Globe for Best Actor thanks to the series and two Primetime Emmy Awards: One for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series and Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series. Glover became the first African-American director to win an Emmy.
On the music side, the last body of work released by Glover was 3.15.20 in 2020. The album was a 58-minute, 12-song project with features from Ariana Grande, 21 Savage and Kadhja Bonet. The project was his first release since 2016 when he dropped his GRAMMY-nominated project, Awaken, My Love!, which featured the five-time Platinum single “Redbone.”
Glover has been nominated for a total of 12 GRAMMYs and won five. His first win came from the hit single “Redbone” in the Best Traditional R&B Performance category at the 60th annual awards in 2017. The following year, he won four more for his three-time Platinum single “This is America,” which included: Record and Song of the Year, Best Music Video and Best Rap/Sung Performance.
Kanye West sparks dating rumors with mystery blonde while dining together
Kanye West may have a new muse. The disgraced rapper sparked dating rumors with a mystery blonde Monday as they dined together at the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills.
A source told TMZ that the duo seemed relaxed in each other’s presence as they chatted over a meal.
Ye, 45, has apparently been spotted at the ritzy hotel several times, signaling that he is currently living there.
The outlet previously obtained photos of West and the same woman arriving at the Waldorf Sunday afternoon.
The Grammy winner has been staying under the radar since going on several anti-Semitic tirades last year.
West’s career spiraled after he tweeted in October that he wanted to go “death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE.” After being met with backlash, he continued to defend his comments and double down on anti-Semitic tropes.
West and the woman were seen at the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills.
Just days before the social media rants, the Yeezy designer was already on thin ice over “White Lives Matter” T-shirts that he debuted at his Paris Fashion Week show.
West refused to apologize for spreading hateful messaging and has since lost several lucrative partnerships, including Adidas. The shoe brand’s decision to no longer work with Ye brought made him lose his billionaire status.
And he hasn’t just been losing out on business. West has also been axed from his ex-wife Kim Kardashian’s life.
While the former couple initially attempted to keep things civil after their 2021 split, West consistently took to social media to drag the Skims founder, 42, and her then-boyfriend, Pete Davidson.
Now, West seems to be excluded from any big family gatherings, like the Kardashian-Jenners’ 2022 Christmas party.
Kardashian has shared that she wants to hide West’s many controversies from their four children: North, 9, Saint, 7, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 3.
“If they don’t know the things that are being said or what’s happening in the world, why would I ever bring that energy to them? That’s really heavy grown-up s–t that they’re not ready to deal with,” she said in a December 2022 interview with Angie Martinez.

Ezra Miller to plead guilty in burglary case as part of plea deal
Ezra Miller will plead guilty in their felony burglary case as part of a deal reached with prosecutors, Yahoo Entertainment has confirmed. The 30-year-old actor will cop to a single, lesser charge of unlawful trespassing as they're accused of stealing liquor bottles from a neighbor's Vermont home last year.
Miller, who is nonbinary, previously pleaded not guilty to one count of burglary and one count of petit larceny in Vermont Superior Court and claimed the whole the was a misunderstanding. The actor, best known for playing the Flash in the DC Extended Universe movies and as Credence in the Fantastic Beasts series, is set to change their plea at a hearing on Friday. Court documents obtained by NBC News show prosecutors propose Miller face 89 to 90 days in a suspended sentence, plus a year probation and $500 fine. Miller was facing more than 20 years behind bars for the felony burglary charge.
Yahoo reached out to Miller's representative for comment, but did not receive a response.
In October, Miller's lawyer released a statement on their behalf after the actor's not guilty plea, which read in part: "Ezra would like to acknowledge the love and support they have received from their family and friends, who continue to be a vital presence in their ongoing mental health."
The Justice League star has been in the news for the past year due to erratic and troubling behavior. Miller's been accused of creating a cult-like environment around them and acting inappropriately with minors. They've been arrested at least twice. As speculation swirled Warner Bros. could shelve the hugely anticipated The Flash, which represents Miller's biggest starring role to date, Miller issued a statement saying they are receiving ongoing treatment for "complex mental health issues."
"Having recently gone through a time of intense crisis, I now understand that I am suffering complex mental health issues and have begun ongoing treatment," Miller said in August. "I want to apologize to everyone that I have alarmed and upset with my past behavior. I am committed to doing the necessary work to get back to a healthy, safe and productive stage in my life."
The Flash remains slated to hit theaters in June.
Dr. Dre Selling Catalog Assets to Universal Music and Shamrock Holdings in $200 Million-Plus Deal
Dr. Dre is selling a collection of music income streams and other assets in a deal that was being pitched for $250 million, sources confirm to Variety.
The assets, which generate nearly $10 million annually, are being acquired by Shamrock Holdings and Universal Music Group in two separate transactions. The deals, which have been rumored for several weeks, are said to be nearly closed and were shopped by Dre’s longtime attorney Peter Paterno of King, Holmes, Paterno & Soriano. The news was first reported by Billboard.
Reps for the firm, Dre, Universal and Shamrock either declined or did not immediately respond to Variety‘s requests for comment, however a source close to Dre confirmed the report and said the final sale price is likely to be below the $250 million asking price, but well above $200 million.
The assets are said to include artist royalties from two of his solo albums and his share of N.W.A. artist royalties; his producer royalties; and the writer’s share of his song catalog where he doesn’t own publishing, which may include songs from his 1993 blockbuster album “The Chronic.” According to Billboard’s sources, that portion includes 75% to 90% of the package’s revenue and is likely being acquired by Shamrock (which owns some Taylor Swift master recordings), with UMG acquiring the remaining 10% to 25%.
Included in UMG’s acquisition would be the master recording of “The Chronic,” which is scheduled to revert to Dre from Death Row Entertainment (which recently was acquired by Dre’s protégé Snoop Dogg last year) in August of this year; his share of an Aftermath/Interscope joint venture with the Top Dawg label for Kendrick Lamar releases through that deal; and possibly some other assets. It does not include his ownership stake in the Aftermath label, which he co-owns with his longtime label home, UMG’s Interscope Records.

50 Cent Apologizes To Megan Thee Stallion For Joking About Tory Lanez Shooting
50 Cent is once again apologizing to Megan Thee Stallion. Following Tory Lanez’s conviction, the hip-hop mogul admits that he was wrong for not believing the “Savage” rapper when she said that Tory Lanez shot her.
“I’m gonna apologize to Megan Thee Stallion,” he said during his appearance on “Big Boy’s Neighborhood.”
Amid the ongoing trial, 50 posted a meme comparing Megan to Jussie Smollett, who was convicted for making false reports to police that he was the victim of a hate crime. The photo showed a teary-eyed Megan from her emotional interview with Gayle King where she denied having a sexual relationship with Lanez.
50 didn’t believe Megan was telling the truth about their relationship. “From that, it felt like she was lying to me,” he said.
However, he was convinced of Tory’s guilt after hearing the phone call in which Tory apologizes to Megan’s former best friend Kelsey Nicole Harris from jail.
“That made me feel like, now I know what happened. I’m sure that’s what probably swayed people in court too,” he told Big Boy.
This isn’t the first time 50 has trolled Megan. Back in July 2020, he posted memes mocking the shooting before apologizing to Megan.
“Damn I didn’t think this shit was real. It sounded so crazy @theestallion i’m glad your feeling better and I hope you can accept my apology,” he said at the time. “I posted a meme that was floating around. I wouldn’t have done that if i knew you was really hurt sorry.”
Following a two-week trial, Tory was found guilty on all three charges for shooting Megan. His sentencing has been delayed until Feb. 28. He has hired a new lawyer, David Kenner, who plans to file a motion for a new trial.
Doritos Steps Into 2023 With An All-New BBQ Flavor Perfect For the Next Cookout
Doritos is kicking off 2023 with a bang, introducing a new flavor tailor-made for barbecue lovers.
Fans are lining up to try the all-new Doritos Sweet and Tangy BBQ. The robust flavor is a unique one, combining the smoky taste of a grill with the sweet notes of barbecue sauce. Doritos is inviting lovers of the American mainstay to give their chips a chance the next time they are craving snacks and ribs.
“We know the BBQ debate is highly contested, and Nashville residents don’t often like to stray away from their own BBQ — but Doritos is inviting fans to TRY ANOTHER ANGLE® — chip angle, that is — with Doritos Sweet & Tangy BBQ,” the company wrote in a press release.
Doritos is no stranger to testing out new flavors, most of which have become a huge hit amongst buyers. The Flamin’ Hot Cool Ranch debuted in 2021 to rave reviews. Over the summer, the ketchup and mustard flavors caught folks off guard, but in a good way. The official Doritos website sports 13 unique flavors, though different retailers offer the limited edition tastes that we’ve grown to love.
If you’re looking to get your hands on the Doritos Sweet and Tangy BBQ chips, they are available at grocery stores nationwide. Sam’s Club currently has them listed online for $4.48 a bag.
