#RHOA: Cynthia Bailey Reveals What Peter Thomas Thinks Of Her Divorce From Mike Hill

Cynthia Bailey may have split from her husband Mike Hill, but she’s still getting plenty of love from her exes, including Peter Thomas. The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum revealed to Page Six during BravoCon that Thomas has reached out to her after news of Bailey’s divorce filing. Bailey filed for divorce from Hill after two years of marriage.

Bailey spoke to Thomas

Bailey and Thomas were married for eight years and their road to the altar and mairtal fallout played out over seven seasons on the show. Despite their split, they’ve remained friendly. So much so that Bailey revealed that Thomas called her after news of her divorce broke.

"He said he just wishes me the best. He told me I was a queen and that I deserve the best, so that was really, really nice," she said.

Bailey actually credits her split from Thomas as a contribution to the reason she opted to break from Hill.

She told People Magazine in an interview:

“We always said we never wanted to feel like we were just in this to be in this,” she said. “We didn’t want to settle for anything less than happy. And we just got to the point where, after really evaluating it, we felt like we were better suited to just be friends rather than trying to force something to work that just wasn’t working anymore.”

#HipHopNews: Hip-Hop Community Mourns Takeoff's Death

Takeoff’s death has sent shockwaves throughout the hip-hop community.

One third of Migos was shot and killed outside a bowling alley in Houston on Tuesday. According to reports, Takeoff and Quavo were there playing dice when an altercation broke out and someone opened fire. The 28-year-old rapper was pronounced dead on the scene.

In the wake of the tragedy, Takeoff’s peers took to social media to mourn the devastating loss including Gucci Mane.

“This broke my heart πŸ’”Rest In Peace @yrntakeoff,” said Gucci, who recently collaborated with Takeoff and Quavo on their album Only Built for Infinity Links.

Takeoff’s fellow ATLien, Ciara, was also heartbroken by the news. “My heart hurts to hear about Take Off. It just doesn’t make sense. Gone too soon,” she tweeted.

An emotional Desiigner was in tears as he went live on Instagram and announced that he was done with rap. “I’m done. I can’t live like this no more,” he said in the heartbreaking video.

Keke Palmer shared her condolences while commenting on the graphic footage of the shooting that was shared on social media. “This is horrible. From the tragedy of the death to the tragedy of there being a video of it online,” she wrote. “It’s all just tragic and I am so sorry to his whole family and all he touched. Really terrible.”

Both Jacquees and Teyana Taylor were in disbelief. “Please tell me this is just a bad dream pleaseeeeeeee I don’t want to believe this lil bro please,” said Taylor.

Ja Rule called for an end to the violence. “Rip Takeoff… this shit has to STOP… sending love to friends and family,” he said before adding, “Hip hop is being HUNTED…”

Rick Ross mourned the loss of a “young legend,” while Tyler, the Creator reposted a photo of Takeoff on his Instagram Story and captioned it, “Safe travels.”

Still reeling from the tragedy, Chance the Rapper recalled his friendship with Takeoff. “It goes without saying that I’m broken hearted and confused this morning,” he wrote. “But I have to say Take is a one of a kind friend that would always acknowledge you, always make sure you was good and would always tell you keep God first. Man I wish I had more times to see u on this earth.”

Bow Wow reflected on recently spending time with Takeoff. “Nawfisde patna gone way to soon… we was just at magic and Kevin hart show together. This beyond unreal,” he said.

Drake recalled touring with Takeoff on 2018’s “Aubrey & the Three Migos Tour.” “I got the best memories of all of us seeing the world together and bringing light to every city we touch,” he said. “That’s what I’ll focus on for now πŸ˜” rest easy space man.”

Morehouse cancels basketball tournament with ties to Kanye West

Morehouse cancels basketball tournament with ties to Kanye West For weeks, the Grammy winner, who legally changed his name to Ye, has made antisemitic comments in interviews and on social media.

A Morehouse College basketball tournament with ties to Kanye West has been canceled.

For weeks, the Grammy winner, who legally changed his name to Ye, has made antisemitic comments in interviews and social media, including a Twitter post earlier this month that he would soon go “death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE,” an apparent reference to the U.S. defense readiness condition scale known as DEFCON. His posts led to his suspension from both Twitter and Instagram.

He has since apologized for the tweet.

In a statement from Morehouse College, it said:

“Throughout its history, Morehouse College, perhaps more than any other institution, has stood for social discourse which advances equity and healing, particularly in areas involving race, culture and socio-economic disparities. We therefore cannot condone, in perception or implication, the recent divisive and unproductive statements by Ye, formerly known as Kanye West.”

Kanye West may be living at Mercedes-Benz Stadium to finish record, TMZ reports

The tournament between the Donda Doves and The Skill Factory was set to take place on Nov. 6.

This is just the latest organization to step away from West.

On Tuesday, sportswear manufacturer Adidas announced that it was ending a partnership with Ye that helped make him a billionaire, saying it doesn’t tolerate antisemitism and hate speech.

Other companies also have announced they were cutting ties with Ye, including Foot Locker, Gap, TJ Maxx, JPMorgan Chase bank and Vogue magazine. An MRC documentary about him was also scrapped.

'Black Panther' Star Lupita Nyong'o Heads to 'A Quiet Place' for Spin-Off

Lupita Nyong'o is likely heading straight to "A Quiet Place" from Wakanda. The Oscar-winning actress, who is set to make her return in the "Black Panther" sequel, is close to joining another popular franchise at Paramount.

Nyong'o is reportedly in final negotiations to star in "A Quiet Place: Day One", a spin-off to the popular horror film series. Michael Sarnoski, who directed Nicolas Cage in "Pig", will helm the upcoming movie based on an original idea from John Krasinski.

Details of Nyongo's role and the story are still kept under wraps, but it is said that the hope is the film will help set up a potential "Quiet Place" universe that the studio can build on for years to come. It is also almost certain that Krasinski and Emily Blunt will not reprise their roles in this new installment.

The spin-off film is set to bow on March 8, 2024. Meanwhile, a "Quiet Place" threequel is currently also in development with Krasinski returning at the helm. The third film is expected to arrive sometime in 2025.

Marlo Thomas Annoys Staff On Sherri Shepherd's TV Show After Fat-Shaming Her

Marlo Thomas' joke during her appearance on "Sherri" apparently didn't sit well with the staff. According to a new report, the "That Girl" actress, who served as the guest in the Tuesday, November 1 episode of the talk show, irritated the staff members after fat-shaming host Sherri Shepherd.

Marlo came to promote her multiple projects, including her upcoming film "Magical Christmas Village". Toward the end of the segment, Marlo recalled the time when their paths had crossed. "I interviewed you for my AOL show ['Monday's with Marlo']," she recalled, before noting that Sherri "used to be a big woman!"

As Sherri laughed, Marlo then further tried to make her point by putting her hand around her body. She also blew her face out in an attempt to imitate the host's old size. "You've lost a lot of weight, but you've still got the boobies! That's good," Marlo continued.

While Sherri didn't seem to be offended by Marlo's remarks, her talk show's staff members didn't find Marlo's jokes funny. "Sherri was a good sport, but people [at the show] are very protective of her," an insider told Page Six.

Keke Palmer Talks About Future Plans With Kids Amid Pregnancy Rumors

Keke Palmer has shared her future plans with her future children. The 28-year-old actress, who recently sparked rumors that she's pregnant, wants her future children to be "grounded."

The actress, who shot to fame as a teenager in the leading role of Nickelodeon sitcom "True Jackson, VP", is thought to be single after reportedly splitting from Darius Jackson earlier this year but explained that she wants to be an "inspiration" to any children she may have in the future and wants them to "know more" than she does.

She said, "[It's about] being able to talk to my kids and to be able to inspire them and encourage them. And also, just strap them with the things that they need to be even better than I could have even imagined. I want them to have more than what I have, and I want them to know more than me. [I want to] create a place for us to have conversations, for them to talk to me, for them to feel like I'm there and I accept them, but then also to provide them as much as I can, and to keep them grounded, too."

Man Accused of Attacking Nancy Pelosi’s Husband Pleads Not Guilty to Charges

David DePape, the man who’s been accused of breaking into House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s home last week and brutally attacking her husband, has pleaded not guilty to all charges against him.

As reported by CNN, DePape, 42, made his first appearance in front of a judge on Tuesday in San Francisco Superior Court. DePape faces a slate of charges, including attempted murder, burglary, assault, false imprisonment, and one count of “attempted kidnapping of a US official,” according to the US attorney’s office for the Northern District of California. The last charge carries a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison.

Last Friday, DePape allegedly broke into the Pelosi residence and attacked Nancy’s 82-year-old spouse, Paul, with a hammer. Paul Pelosi, who was knocked unconscious during the assault, remains hospitalized and underwent surgery for a skull fracture and other injuries.

While addressing the news during a conference on Tuesday, U.S. Capitol Police Chief Tom Manger reiterated the security protocols for members of Congress, admitting that there is “still a lot of work to do.”

“We believe today’s political climate calls for more resources to provide additional layers of physical security for members of Congress,” Manger said, adding that DePape’s attack was “an alarming reminder of the dangerous threats elected officials and public figures face during today’s contentious political climate.”

Heartstopper’ star Kit Connor says he has been forced to come out as bisexual

"Heartstopper" star Kit Connor came out as bisexual Monday, saying he felt forced to share his sexual orientation after he was accused of queerbaiting by viewers of the popular Netflix show.

In a rare Twitter post, the British actor wrote: “Back for a minute. I’m bi. Congrats for forcing an 18 year old to out himself. I think some of you missed the point of the show. Bye.”

While Connor did not say exactly why he felt forced to come out, he posted the message weeks after he said he was "deleting Twitter" amid accusations of queerbaiting, or benefiting from appearing as queer without claiming the community explicitly. That followed the emergence of photos showing him holding hands with Maia Reficco, his co-star in “A Cuban Girl’s Guide to Tea and Tomorrow.”

“this is a silly silly app. bit bored of it now, deleting twitter :),” Connor said in the September post.

Alice Oseman, the creator of "Heartstopper," which she launched as a webcomic and later as a graphic novels series, shared her support Monday, writing in response to his tweet: “I truly don’t understand how people can watch ‘Heartstopper’ and then gleefully spend their time speculating about sexualities and judging based on stereotypes.

“I hope all those people are embarrassed as F***. Kit you are amazing,” Oseman wrote.

Kizzy Edgell, who plays Darcy Olsson on “Heartstopper,” tweeted late Monday: “I love u kit im sorry this has been so disgustingly rough on you. [You’ve] been treated so unfairly."

Fans also rushed to support Connor, with a Twitter user writing: "HOW can one watch a show like Heartstopper and the take away being that you as a viewer/fan/whatever have the right to know the most private aspects of the actors life? Especially when it comes to this. All love in the world to you Kit."

Another wrote: "So sorry that you’ve literally been forced out before you were ready. Not that you should have ever had to out yourself. People really miss the entire point of this show and the web comics. We love you Kit, sorry you had to do this."

Connor plays Nick Nelson, a high school student who starts to develop feelings for classmate Charlie Spring, played by Joe Locke, as he tries to navigate and understand his sexual identity.

In May, Connor had also appeared to comment on Twitter about questions and comments around his sexual orientation, writing: “Twitter is so funny man. apparently some people on here know my sexuality better than I do…”

In an interview in May, Connor, who was joined by Locke, spoke about the positive impact he hoped "Heartstopper" would have on fans, saying that "to have a show where it’s just very positive, [with] a generally positive outlook on life and being a queer teen, I think that’s an extremely important thing."

"It’s a show that younger audiences can watch with their family and their parents and that can lead to very important conversations between parents and their children," he said. "I think that it just basically brings societies steps closer to normalizing being queer."

He said he had also received positive feedback from fans, particularly over one scene in which Nick comes out to his mother, played by Emmy and Academy Award winner Olivia Colman.

“There was a tweet from a ‘Heartstopper’ fan, and they essentially tweeted out that they used that [scene] to come out to their parents,” Connor said. “That one scene was able to give this person the comfort and the confidence to be truthful to themselves, be honest with their parents and just be unapologetically themselves, and I think that’s a beautiful thing and a real honor, especially for someone who is 18 years old like me.”

Angela Bassett, Sophie Turner, & Jennifer Hudson Arrive in Style for Glamour Women of the Year Awards 2022

Angela Bassett, Sophie Turner, and Jennifer Hudson all hit the red carpet while arriving at Glamour’s 2022 Women of the Year Awards on Tuesday (November 1) at The Grill & The Pool in New York City.

Since 1990, Glamour “has honored the world’s most extraordinary women—trailblazers, rule breakers, visionaries, and champions who have defined each year.”

Angela, Jennifer, and Haim were among this year’s honorees.

Daniel Radcliffe Opens Up About Speaking Out Against 'Harry Potter' Author JK Rowling

Daniel Radcliffe is opening up about Harry Potter author JK Rowling.

The 33-year-old star of the movies spoke out against the author back in June 2020 after some of her transphobic tweets.

“Transgender women are women. Any statement to the contrary erases the identity and dignity of transgender people and goes against all advice given by professional health care associations who have far more expertise on this subject matter than either Jo or I,” Daniel shared at the time.

In a new interview, Daniel shared why it was important to speak out against her and her comments.

“The reason I felt very, very much as though I needed to say something when I did was because, particularly since finishing Potter, I’ve met so many queer and trans kids and young people who had a huge amount of identification with Potter on that,” he told IndieWire. “And so seeing them hurt on that day I was like, I wanted them to know that not everybody in the franchise felt that way. And that was really important.”

“It was really important as I’ve worked with The Trevor Project for more than 10 years, and so I don’t think I would’ve been able to look myself in the mirror had I not said anything,” he added. “But it’s not mine to guess what’s going on in someone else’s head.”

Earlier this month, both Daniel and JK paid tribute to the late Robbie Coltrane, who portrayed Hagrid, after he passed away.

Chadwick Boseman’s Wife Simone Reflects On His Cancer Battle In First Interview Since Actor’s Death

Simone Ledward Boseman recently opened up about the life and legacy of her late husband Chadwick Boseman.

For the first time since Chawick Boseman’s 2020 passing after battling with colon cancer, Simone is speaking out about her relationship with Chadwick and “the most challenging two years I’ve ever had in my life” following his passing.

“I can’t believe that I was so lucky,” she expressed to Whoopi Goldberg in an interview that aired today for an episode of ‘Good Morning America’. “I can’t believe that I got to love this person, and I also got them to love me too.”

During the interview she revealed that it was during the COVID-19 pandemic that her husband’s health really began to “spiral.” “It seemed like, ‘Is this a crazy coincidence?’ That we get to actually be inside, we get to be here with family, you know, together, and everybody in the world is also experiencing this togetherness in the midst of this awful, scary, unpredictable time,” Simone shared.

They kept their circle tight, she said, and as a result of their privacy, news of Boseman’s death at the age of 43 in August 2020 “shocked and devastated” the world, explained Goldberg.

“Some days, I’m doing worse than I’m really willing to acknowledge. Other days, I’m doing better than I feel comfortable admitting,” Simone continued.

Boseman’s legacy lives on in a scholarship created in his name at his “beloved” alma mater, Howard University. The university’s college of fine arts has also been renamed in Boseman’s honor.

“We have four scholars. One of them graduated this past year, and was very proud to be the first graduating Boseman scholar of the first graduating class of the Chadwick Boseman College of Fine Arts,” Simone said.

Charles Barkley Says Kyrie Irving ‘Should Have Been Suspended’ For Promoting Anti-Semitic Film

TNT analyst, Charles Barkley had a few things to say about Kyrie Irving promoting an anti-semitic film on his social media.

The Basketball Hall of Famer slammed the Brooklyn Nets and the NBA for “dropping the ball” for not suspending the point guard. “I think he should have been suspended him,” Barkley said. “I think Adam should have suspended him. First of all, Adam is Jewish — you can’t take my $40 million and insult my religion.”

“You gonna insult me, you have the right, but I have the right to say, ‘You can’t take my $40 million and insult my religion.’ I think the NBA, they made a mistake. We’ve suspended people and fined people who have made homophobic slurs. And that was the right thing to do. If you insult the Black community, you should be suspended or fined heavily.”

As previously reported, Kyrie Irving received backlash after he tweeted out a link to a documentary called “Hebrews to Negroes: Wake Up Black America.” According to Rollingstone, the documentary puts forward “ideas in line with more extreme factions of the Black Hebrew Israelites, which have a long history of misogyny, homophobia, xenophobia, Islamophobia, and especially antisemitism.”

The Brooklyn Nets point guard went on Twitter Saturday to address the labels that’s being pushed on him after promoting the documentary. “I am an OMNIST and I meant no disrespect to anyone’s religious beliefs. The “Anti-Semitic” label that is being pushed on me is not justified and does not reflect the reality or truth I live in everyday. I embrace and want to learn from all walks of life and religions. HΓ©là🀞🏾♾

Brooklyn Nets owner Joe Tsai spoke out about Irving’s behavior in a tweet on Friday. “I’m disappointed that Kyrie appears to support a film based on a book full of anti-semitic disinformation,” Tsai wrote. “I want to sit down and make sure he understands this is hurtful to all of us, and as a man of faith, it is wrong to promote hate based on race, ethnicity or religion. This is bigger than basketball.”

Utah Governor Speaks Out After Viral Video Shows White Teens Dressed in Blackface and Prisoner Costumes for Halloween

A group of teenagers took Halloween too far when they painted their faces black and dressed up as prisoners.

The viral video has drawn widespread condemnation, and Utah Governor Spencer Cox joined the conversation, slamming their actions.

“We strongly condemn racism in all its forms and call on every Utahn to reject such offensive stereotypes, slurs, and attitudes,” Cox told The Daily Beast. “We must do better.”

Three teenage boys in a group of eight were spotted at a Walmart in Cedar City, Utah, on October 31, dressed in Jim Crow-era prison chain gang uniforms and wearing blackface.

In a video circulating on social media, a woman addresses the alleged hate crime, warning them that their futures would be ruined. The trio is standing with five other people, including a girl dressed as a police officer with aviator sunglasses and a pair of handcuffs. The clip begins with the group immediately laughing at the person filming them.

“You guys are not going to get into a college,” the person behind the camera said. “You guys are not going to get any scholarships because this is a hate crime.” To which one boy responded: “We all dropped out of high school. It’s okay,” before laughing and walking away.

The video went viral Monday night as people were outraged to see the group make jokes about the woman accusing them of committing a hate crime. Spectators were also disappointed at parents for allowing their children to leave their homes with the chosen costumes.

“I don’t understand why white parents don’t teach their children to NOT do any type of blackface for Halloween and/or any other occasion,” one Twitter user said.

While another person Tweeted, “If your kids wore blackface as a part of their costume, you f**ked up.”

Another person tweeted, “Welcome to Cedar City, Utah where you can walk in Walmart in blackface. It’s 2022 and young white ppl still find this funny. Why weren’t they arrested? Why aren’t they suspended from school? But racism doesn’t exist, right?”

Ralph Lauren Collaborates with ‘Fortnite’ for Digital and Real-Life Collection

Whether you understand the metaverse or not, Ralph Lauren is choosing to embrace the fictional world by selling its clothes in a special partnership.

The new partnership will make Ralph Lauren the first luxury brand to co-host a player tournament with Fortnite. The online game gained popularity in its initial year of release, 2017.

So what does a partnership between Ralph Lauren and Fortnite look like?

Well, first, Ralph Lauren is so excited about the new partnership that it slapped a new logo into the exclusive deal. The new logo with the online game includes a re-designed Polo pony logo, the first time the company has ever created a new logo in its 55-year history.

In addition to the new logo, Ralph Lauren will sell digital apparel and accessories, launching in the Fortnite shop on November 5. But you can also get your hands on the collection if you aren’t in the metaverse. A real-life collection will be available at select Ralph Lauren locations releasing November 2, with additional products dropping on December 1.

This isn’t Ralph Lauren’s first involvement with the metaverse. In December 2021, the luxury brand opened virtual stores in Roblox. The company’s CEO, Patrice Louvet, has made it clear that it plans on continuing its commitment to the metaverse.

“One of our strategies is to win over a new generation and the new generation is there. So we have to be there. There are a lot of parallels actually between the metaverse and Ralph’s vision because we are not a fashion company. We are in the dreams business.”
