The cast of The Real Housewives of Atlanta has just begun filming the 15th season, but rumors are already swirling. The cast banned together for the 40th birthday party of Aaron Ross, the husband of Sanya Richards Ross. Sheree Whitfield’s new man Martell Holt was in attendance. According to sources, Kenya Moore and Holt have a tense exchange of words, and reality TV producer Carlos King says it was an epic showdown.

“There’s a video that has leaked online that appears to show Martell filming with Sheree by his side with Kenya the Legend Moore standing across from him. And, a lot of people are speculating whether or not Kenya and Martell were having a heated discussion,” he began.
"The only thing I’ll say is… I heard it went down, basement. And that, yep, Martell versus Kenya… To know that something may have gone down with Martell and Kenya One thing we know about Martell, Martell will speak his mind," King added.
While attending BravoCon recently, Moore made it known that she’s no fan of Holt and that she feels Whitfield needs to do a better job of choosing partners.
King continued about the fallout, noting that he knows Holt isn't shy from speaking up for himself.
“Unlike the other husbands on the show, Martell speaks his mind, and he goes off on anybody he feels is going off on him. We’ve seen it on my show “Love and Marriage Huntsville,” and Martell speaks his mind. He’s a Capricorn. He pledged the fraternity Kappa Alpha Psi,” he explained. “So to know he and a titan like Kenya had a moment, it’s like oh, I can’t wait. He’s gonna make sure that these women know that he’s not the [RHOA] husbands you’re used to. Like, if y’all go gutter, I am going Jason, Friday the 13th, basement on y’all.”
#NewMusic Chris Brown hits back at AMAs for scrapping his Michael Jackson tribute
Chris Brown’s performance at Sunday’s American Music Awards has reportedly been cancelled at the last minute, according to TMZ.
On Saturday, November 19th, 2022, Brown took to Instagram and posted a video from rehearsals that showed the singer perform a lengthy routine. The routine was supposed to be a tribute to the legendary King of Pop, Michael Jackson.
The Forever crooner showed off his MJ-inspired moves with a crew of backup dancers. The set opened with the track Under the Influence and then the performance transitions to Jackson’s Beat It, where Brown and his dancers can be seen busting a move to the mega hit. They even included some of Jackson’s iconic choreography in their rendition of other hits such as Beat It, Billie Jean, Wanna Be Starting Something and Thriller.
“U SERIOUS? [face palm emoji]” Brown originally captioned his post before following up with a later comment, writing, “WOULDVE been the ama performance but they cancelled me for reasons unknown.”
The performance presumably would have celebrated the 40th anniversary of Jackson’s best-selling album Thriller, which includes all four of the songs Brown rehearsed to. Thriller was released on Nov. 30, 1982, via Entertainment Tonight.
#HipHopNews: Kanye West Dropped By Stem Player Company As It Releases ‘Ye-Free’ Device
Kanye West‘s business portfolio has suffered another blow as the company behind the Stem Player used to release Donda 2 has terminated their relationship.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Kano, the tech company behind the Stem Player has already released new versions of the device, which are now open for any artist to upload their music.
“I asked Kanye not to take the path he’s on,” said the company’s co-founder and CEO Alex Klein. “We’ve told him that we’re unable to work together while he’s putting out racial conspiracy theories. There’s no deal in place.
Ye made waves when he announced that, rather than distributing his 11th studio album through traditional models, Donda 2 would only be made available through the Stem Player, which he promoted as his “own platform.”
The idea was to allow fans to be able to customize tracks with the ability to control drums, vocals, bass, samples and more. But fans likely didn’t expect Donda 2 to only be available through that format — and apparently neither did Apple, which cancelled Ye’s sponsorship deal in response to the February release announcement.
Kano went on to sell 100,000 units of the Donda 2 pre-loaded Stem Player, which sold for $200. To date, Klein reports the device has been used to remix over a billion plays of songs, 90% of which has nothing to do with Ye.
While Ye’s recent anti-Semitic comments were the ultimate factor that led Kano to part ways with the rapper, Klein said that there had been issues since the very start of their relationship
“Unfortunately, Kanye didn’t want to allow other musical artists onto the platform,” he explained. “This was a disagreement that we had trouble resolving.”
Kanye West responded to Klein’s hesitation about keeping other artists from accessing the platform by offering to buy Kano, which specializes in highly customizable tech products.
Prior to sharing his company’s decision with the LA Times, Alex Klein opened up about his ongoing conversations with Kanye West on various online platforms.
He first revealed on Reddit that Ye, “tried to call me racist when I gently told him that attacking a whole race of people wasn’t good for him or Stem.” Earlier this month, Klein went into more detail during a Discord chat.
“Good engineering is about having correct information and acting upon it,” he wrote. “At the end of the day, as long as what’s flowing through Ye is hatred towards a particular ethnic group … it’s gonna be very hard for us to collaborate creatively.”
Unfortunately, Alex Klein and his company will remain linked to Kanye West in at least one area: Ye and Kano have been named as co-defendants in two copyright infringement lawsuits tied to samples featured on Donda 2.
One claim, filed on behalf of artist Marshall Jefferson, alleges that Ye’s “Flowers” includes an unauthorized sample of the 1986 house music hit “Move Your Body.” The other lawsuit was filed by Phase One Network — which oversees the Boogie Down Productions catalog — over the unlicensed use of “South Bronx” by KRS-One and DJ Scott La Rock.
The sample of the Hip Hop classic appears on “Life of the Party,” featuring Andre 3000.
The song more prominently samples The Dramatics’ 1975 song “I Was the Life of the Party,” as well as snippets of Biggie’s “Hypnotize,” Herb & the Spices’ “Cannibal Cutie” and a viral video of DMX comforting his daughter while on an amusement park ride.
Ye’s loss of the deal with Kano is just the latest in corporate blowback from comments made via social media and in interviews on platforms including Piers Morgan Uncensored and Drink Champs. The latter was deemed so inflammatory that REVOLT chose to pull the interview from all platforms within less than 24 hours of its premiere
Other companies to publicly distance themselves from Kanye West include J.P. Morgan Chase, GAP, adidas, Balenciaga and his talent agency Creative Artists Agency.
With Forbes estimating $1.5 billion of Ye’s net worth coming from the adidas deal alone, the loss of these recent deals cost the Chicago rapper his status as a billionaire. He is now worth an estimated $400 million.
Gunman kills 5 at gay nightclub, subdued by patrons
A 22-year-old gunman opened fire in a gay nightclub in Colorado Springs, killing five people and injuring 18 before he was subdued by “heroic” patrons and arrested by police who arrived on the scene within about five minutes, police said Sunday.
Two firearms, including a “long rifle,” were found at the scene at Club Q, said Colorado Springs Police Department Chief Adrian Vasquez.
“At least two heroic people” confronted the gunman and stopped the shooting, the chief said, adding: “We owe them a great debt of thanks.”
Authorities received the report of a shooting at Club Q at 11:57 p.m. Saturday, said Lt. Pamela Castro of the Colorado Springs Police Department.
The violence is the sixth mass killing this month and comes in a year when the nation was shaken by the deaths of 21 in a school shooting in Uvalde, Texas.
Castro said the suspect was injured but didn’t know how and that the FBI was on the scene.
Attorney General Merrick Garland has been briefed on the shooting, Justice Department spokesman Anthony Coley said. The FBI said it was providing assistance to Colorado Springs police, but said the police department was leading the investigation.
Colorado Gov. Jared Polis, who became the first openly gay man in the United States to be elected governor in 2018, said the news was “sickening.”.
“My heart breaks for the family and friends of those lost, injured, and traumatized in this horrific shooting. I have spoken with Mayor (John) Suthers and clarified that every state resource is available to local law enforcement in Colorado Springs,” Polis said. “Colorado stands with our LGTBQ community and everyone impacted by this tragedy as we mourn.”
Although a motive in the shooting wasn’t yet clear, nor were the gender identities of the victims, the incident came as anti-gay rhetoric has intensified by extremists. In a statement, Club Q termed the shooting a hate attack.
“Club Q is devastated by the senseless attack on our community,” the club posted on its Facebook page. It said its prayers were with victims and families, adding: “We thank the quick reactions of heroic customers that subdued the gunman and ended this hate attack.”
The shooting came during Transgender Awareness Week and hours before Sunday’s International Transgender Day of Remembrance, when events around the world are held to mourn and memorialize transgender people lost to violence. The Colorado Springs shooting was sure to bring special resonance to Sunday’s events.
Club Q is a gay and lesbian nightclub that features a “Drag Diva Drag Show” on Saturdays, according to its website.
In addition to the drag show, Club Q's Facebook page said planned entertainment included a “punk and alternative show” preceding a birthday dance party, with a Sunday “all ages brunch.”
Colorado Springs is a city of about 480,000 located about 70 miles (112 kilometers) south of Denver that is home to the U.S. Air Force Academy, as well as Focus on the Family, a prominent evangelical Christian ministry.
In November 2015, three people were killed and eight wounded at a Planned Parenthood clinic in the city when authorities say a man opened fire because he wanted to wage “war” on the clinic because it performed abortions.
The shooting brought back memories of the 2016 massacre at the Pulse gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida, that killed 49 people. And it occurred in a state that has experienced several notorious mass killings, including at Columbine High School in 1999, a movie theater in suburban Denver in 2012 and at a Boulder supermarket last year.
Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff of California said on Twitter he was “sickened and horrified” by the shooting, adding: “The LGBTQ+ community is once again the target of the most terrible violence. And devastating attacks like these will only become more common if we don’t fight back. It must stop.”
Rep.-elect Eric Sorensen, who is Illinois' first openly gay congressman, tweeted that “we must use loud voices to stand up against hate. Our country must turn down the hateful rhetoric aimed at our LGBTQ community.”
In June, 31 members of the neo-Nazi group Patriot Front were arrested in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and charged with conspiracy to riot at a Pride event. Experts warned that extremist groups could see anti-gay rhetoric as a call to action.
The previous month, a fundamentalist Idaho pastor told his small Boise congregation that gay, lesbian and transgender people should be executed by the government, which lined up with similar sermons from a Texas fundamentalist pastor.
There have been 523 mass killings since 2006 resulting in 2,727 deaths as of Nov. 19, according to The Associated Press/USA Today database on mass killings in the U.S.
Al Roker was hospitalized with blood clots in leg, lungs during ‘Today’ absence
Al Roker revealed he has been hospitalized for blood clots in his leg and lungs after sparking concern over his “Today” show absence.
“So many of you have been thoughtfully asking where I’ve been,” the meteorologist captioned Friday Instagram photos of flowers and an NBC News mug.
“Last week I was admitted to the hospital with a blood clot in my leg which sent some clots into my lungs,” he continued. “After some medical whack-a-mole, I am so fortunate to be getting terrific medical care and on the way to recovery.”
The 68-year-old concluded by thanking his fans for their “well-wishes and prayers,” adding, “Hope to see you soon. Have a great weekend, everyone.”
Roker’s colleagues shared their support in the comments. “You’re the strongest person we know. We miss you and will see you soon!! ❤️” Savannah Guthrie wrote.
“Love you brother…can’t wait to have you back!” Craig Melvin commented, with Dylan Dreyer adding, “Love you Al and praying every day for a speedy recovery!”
As for Hoda Kotb, she wrote, “Al Roker– hurry back to us… counting the days xoxoxo.”
Hundreds pay respect to Shanquella Robinson as investigation into Cabo death continues
The family of Shanquella Robinson is asking Mexican officials to thoroughly investigate her death.
Shanquella Robinson, the 25-year-old Charlotte woman who mysteriously died in Cabo during a Mexico trip with "friends" was laid to rest Saturday afternoon.
A horse-drawn carriage brought Robinson’s casket into Macedonia Baptist Church. Hundreds of people attended her celebration of life service. Loved ones wore pink in her honor, as well as bracelets and pins with Robinson's photo.
“She was a very humble spirit, just a very sweet girl," Latoya Young said. "She was a genuine person."
Danny Griffin, a longtime family friend of the Robinsons, said Shanquella will be remembered as a kind soul and her daddy's little girl.
"Sometimes a daughter can do no wrong in their daddy's eyes," Griffin said. "She was the twinkle of his eye and he loved her to death."
Donations also poured in for Robinson's homegoing service. A GoFundMe started by the Robinson family has raised over $340,000. It includes donations by Brooklyn Nets player Kyrie Irving, with donations listed under his name totaling $65,000.
Robinson's death remains a mystery. Her tragedy has captured the hearts of communities beyond the Queen City, with her death making national headlines.
“It means a lot to see Charlotte supporting her and her family," Tawanna Butler said. "I have a daughter and I have nieces. It is just sad. I came here to show support and be in solidarity, to show this is not OK.
"That child was among friends and she should have been able to feel comfortable and feel safe, and not this. This should not have happened."
Video that surfaced online showed a woman violently attacking Robinson during the trip. The FBI's field office in Charlotte has opened an investigation into Robinson's mysterious death.
Laviris Smith, Robinson's neighbor, said he styled her hair for the trip. He's heartbroken knowing her life was taken too soon.
"She was just excited about going on her trip," Smith said. "She sat on my chair and we talked about a lot of personal stuff. We just clicked and she was like my little sister."
Tamika D. Mallory, a well-known activist, said she stands in solidarity with the Robinsons.
“Losing a loved one in the heinous way which has happened to Shanquella there will probably never be peace for them but there cannot just be an open situation,” Mallory said. “It has to be closed with truth and it has to be that there is accountability for those who are responsible for her death.”
Mallory adds she wants to ensure that there are enough people putting pressure on the system to make sure Robinson gets the justice she deserves.
“There was not enough attention as far as I’m concerned on this matter," Mallory said. "I feel like Shanquella should be all over national media and mainstream news. As we have seen with other women."
Meanwhile, loved ones are trying to cope with Robinson's death. Griffin said this is a tough loss and he is leaning on his faith.
“Everybody that has children, a son or daughter, it just makes you want to get down on your knees to pray for this family but also for your own family," Griffin said.
A nationwide call for justice has been shared through social media posts as more people learn about 25-year-old Shanquella Robinson of Charlotte, North Carolina, who died during a vacation to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico in October. Many posts are using the hashtag #JusticeforShanquella in hopes her story will reach national headlines.
The North Carolina Beat reports Robinson and a group of friends left for Mexico on Oct. 29. Less than 24 hours later, according to the blog, the friends said Robinson wasn't feeling well due to alcohol poisoning and later died.
Robinson's family believes there is much more to her death.
A video posted online shows Robinson being attacked by one of the friends she traveled with. WCNC Charlotte is choosing not to include the video due to the graphic images.
Chris Swecker, a retired FBI assistant director, said emerging details like this should be enough to make Mexican officials take a second look at the case.

“Based on the autopsy, I think this is a suspicious death that ought to be thoroughly investigated, and the more you put it front and center with the media," Swecker said. "I’ve had experience with this before the more the Mexican government will apply pressure to their investigative agencies and get to the bottom of it."
Jhene Aiko And Big Sean Welcome Their First Child Together
Jhene Aiko and Big Sean are officially parents now. On Friday, November 18, the singer took to her Instagram account to break the news of their baby boy's arrival while sharing a slew pictures of the infant.
"11/08/22 Noah Hasani," she wrote alongside the series of pictures, which also featured her in labor. She continued, "after 24 hours of labor, a total lunar eclipse, and while it was pouring rain… he came my baby Yoda, my Sani."
Among the snaps was a selfie that showed Aiko's pregnant belly with a baby monitor wrapped around it. One other saw Sean sleeping in a chair in the hospital, while another snap featured the happy couple smiling brightly.
Sean also made use of his own page to share some photos of the memorable moment. "After 24 hours of Labor, A Lunar Eclipse, with rain from the beginning of labor til he was born, he's here safe and sound. Happy, Healthy and everything we could ever ask for and more. Any and everything for you Son. Noah 11/8/22," so he captioned the post, which included a picture of him holding his baby boy's little hand.
While baby Sani is the couple's first child together, he is Aiko's second child. The "None of Your Concern" singer is also a parent to daughter Namiko Love, whom she shares with singer O'Ryan.
News of Aiko's second pregnancy emerged in July. "The couple is overjoyed and looks forward to this next chapter," Aiko's rep told PEOPLE.
The 34-year-old star eventually confirmed her baby news on Instagram, sharing a nude maternity photo of herself cradling her stomach set against an edited celestial background.
The couple first met in 2012. After collaborating on several songs together before releasing a joint album "Twenty88" in 2016, they developed a close relationship. "I love her and I know she loves me," Sean once told Billboard and the pair have dated on and off in the years since.
Harry Styles And Olivia Wilde Reportedly Split A Month After Nanny Drama
Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde are reportedly no longer together. Words on the street are that the "As It Was" crooner and his girlfriend of nearly two years are breaking up, a month after the filmmaker's former nanny made explosive claims about their relationship.
PEOPLE reported on Friday, November 18 that the couple, who was first linked in January 2021 after working together on "Don't Worry Darling", are "taking a break" from their relationship. A source close to the situation offered more details, "He's still touring and is now going abroad."
In the meantime, according to the insider, Olivia "is focusing on her kids and her work in L.A." Olivia shares two kids, Otis, 8, and Daisy, 6, with her ex Jason Sudeikis. The so-called source went on to stress that "it's a very amicable decision."
"They're still very close friends," the informant said of the now-exes. The source further added that the pair went separate ways due to "different priorities," saying, "Right now, they have different priorities that are keeping them apart. The public pressure on them has been difficult. They've had ups and downs throughout the relationship."
Per Page Six, "there is no bad blood" between Harry and Olivia. "Harry didn't dump Olivia, or vice versa," a source spilled to the outlet. "This is the longest relationship Harry's ever had, so clearly they have a special bond."
The news of the split came as a shock to many of the couple's fans as Olivia recently took her kids to Harry's "Love on Tour" stop in Los Angeles. In footage shared by a fan on social media, the 38-year-old actress/filmmaker could be seen dancing along to his hit "As It Was" with her daughter Daisy as they attended the Tuesday, November 15 show at the Kia Forum.
In October, Harry and Olivia were hit with shocking allegations made by Olivia and Jason's former nanny. The woman, who anonymously spoke to the Daily Mail, claimed Olivia started dating Harry to boost her image.

Lil Nas X Leaves Little To Imagination In Barely Covered Bath Photos
Lil Nas X clearly knows how to send his fans into a frenzy. The "MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)" hitmaker successfully left little to the imagination after he shared nearly nude bubble bath selfies on social media.
Making use of Instagram and Twitter on Wednesday, November 16, the 23-year-old star posted several nude selfies while enjoying a relaxing bubble bath in the jacuzzi tub at his fancy hotel in Belgium.
In the pictures, Lil Nas X could be seen standing naked in a beautiful bathtub. The "Thats What I Want" crooner also showed off his six-pack abs while covering his lower stomach area with bubbles. "me in yo bathroom after f**kin yo b***h," he captioned the photos he shared on Twitter.
The steamy photos definitely sent his fans into a frenzy. One thirsty fan immediately took over the comment section and wrote, "Who knows how to remove bubbles from a picture asking for a friend." Another person requested, "Remove the cloud pls."
"Blowing on my screen in an absolutely manic fashion rn trying to blow the bubbles away," a third chimed in. Another fan had a better idea. "Never wanted to be soap so bad," they confessed.
Last week, Lil Nas X also showcased his enviable figure. On November 9, the "Old Town Road" hitmaker turned to his Twitter account to share a video of him showing off his toned body while taking a mirror selfie. In the clip, he said, "Y'all should be happy I'm gay, cuz I would take all y'all b***hes, like, very easily."
His sexy posts came after he was accused by a social media troll of being "closeted heterosexual." Clearing things up, he hilariously clapped back, "i'm the first n***a to have to beat straight allegations." As if it's not enough, he also retweeted a tweet from @tommyasterisk who asked, "Fellas, is it straight to be gay?"
Lil Nas X came out as gay in the summer of 2019. In an interview with GQ last November, the star, whose real name is Montero Lamar Hill, said that he believes more gay rappers would appear in the future.
Adele’s Las Vegas Residency Opens And the Stars are out in full force!
Apologies are all the rage these days when it comes to difficult-to-procure concert tickets. And Adele, whose much anticipated Las Vegas residency launched on Friday (Nov. 18) at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, was not exempt from her own. “I’m truly sorry for any inconvenience and any disappointment that I’ve caused, but we’re here tonight and together” she said from the stage. Delaying the run, she added, “was the best decision I ever made.”
It was a reminder of the long road to the Colosseum. Originally scheduled to kick off in January, production issues — and Adele’s own dissatisfaction with the staging — caused a nine-month delay, during which time rumors circulated suggesting that the show may move venues or be called off altogether. “I’d really like to thank Caesars because there’s been a lot of shit written about me since I canceled those shows,” Adele said. “Ninety percent of it is completely made up, but not once did [Caesars] ask any questions,” Adele defended, remarking how dealing with business is the part of her job as a world-renowned singer that she doesn’t always enjoy. “That’s why I fuck off for six years at a time,” she cracked.
Truth be told, no one was complaining. If anything, the crowd of 4,100 — which included James Corden, director Baz Luhrmann, Apple CEO Tim Cook and British artist Stormzy (seated with Adele’s beau Rich Paul) in attendance, as well as Sony Music Group’s Rob Stringer and Afo Verde and CBS executive Jack Sussman — were audibly and visibly thrilled to be a part of Adele’s opening night, as demonstrated by their screams and frequent standing ovations.
Still, Adele was nervous, and said so at the top of the show as she belted “Hello” and warmed up her voice. “I’m so scared and so happy,” she confessed, before asking rhetorically, “How are you all?”
Adele explained that she wanted the show to “start small” with just her and a piano. She also warned the audience that bangers were scant, so to take the opportunity to dance when an up-tempo tune comes. “I don’t know what I was thinking,” she said of front-loading the show with ballads.
“I’ve got a lot to tell you,” Adele continued in her trademark banter. “It’s a bloody massive week for me — it’s the ‘Walking Dead’ finale on Sunday! And it’s the Grammys and the World Cup. … I’m talking this much because I’m so nervous.” Indeed, she joked and regaled the crowd with stories for a total of almost 30 minutes during the two-hour show, covering everything from the weather (unseasonably cold in Vegas) to her “love of sitting down” to music discovery and the mechanics of the show, and even made two Canadian audience members’ night by reassigning them from the worst seats in the house to orchestra center (she plans to repeat the deed on future shows), and a few more fans got T-shirts shot at them from a gun. (Next door to the venue is an Adele store selling merch and knick-knacks and displaying a selection of her dresses and awards.)
Working her way through her greatest hits — “Easy On Me,” “Rumour Has It,” “Send My Love,” “Skyfall,” “Set Fire to the Rain,” “When We Were Young,” “Someone Like You” — it became clearer as the night went on that the less-is-more production complemented the music in a way that didn’t distract but rather enhanced the art of the performance. Outside of the rain fall and flames that accompanied “Set Fire to the Rain,” videos of a stunning Adele along with picturesque landscapes and a wall of string players brought a classiness to the show — the sort that maybe could justify spending north of $800 for a seat.
But what truly made the show worth every penny was Adele’s promise that it would be an intimate experience. She came through in every regard, walking up and down the aisles, meeting and kissing her fans, asking about their lives. “The whole reason I wanted to play a small room was to be close to you,” she said during an emotional moment just before the encore (“Rolling in the Deep” and “Love Is a Game”). “I was just flailing around London when I was 21 years old and I wrote an album that ended up changing my life,” Adele continued. “I had no idea that my life would end up becoming what it is. Every day, I have an out-of-body experience.”

Mariah Carey to Open for Santa with Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Performance
The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade just got a little more festive!
Mariah Carey will be taking part in the annual holiday celebration in New York City on Nov. 24, where she will perform her 1994 seasonal smash, "All I Want for Christmas is You."
"My childhood dream is coming to life! I'm going to be opening for the one and only, SANTA CLAUS 🎅🏼, at this year's @macys Thanksgiving day parade," Carey, 52 wrote on Instagram Friday. "🎄🎉💫 Tune in on Thanksgiving Day."
In the clip, a countdown is shown leading up to Thanksgiving, before Carey announces in a voice-over, "Hey, it's Mariah! See you at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade."
Carey will appear at the parade around 12 p.m. ET, three hours after it first airs on NBC, and before Santa Claus closes out the annual holiday event.
Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb and Al Roker of the Today show are returning to host the Emmy Award-winning celebration. Roker, 68, first hosted the parade in 1995 alongside Willard Scott and Katie Couric, while Guthrie, 50, and Kotb, 58, first hosted in 2012 and 2018, respectively.
The performer lineup this year includes sets by Gloria Estefan, Paula Abdul, Big Time Rush, Jimmy Fallon and The Roots, Fitz and the Tantrums, Mario Lopez and family, Ziggy Marley, Sean Paul, Kirk Franklin and Jordin Sparks, among others.
Some of Broadway's finest are also set to deliver show-stopping performances during the broadcast, kicking off with a dazzling opening number from Lea Michele and the cast of Broadway's Funny Girl. Additional Broadway acts include the cast of A Beautiful Noise, Some Like It Hot and The Lion King. The iconic Radio City Rockettes will round up the theatrics.
Additionally, the cast of Peacock's Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin featuring Adam Devine, Sarah Hyland and Flula Borg are slated to make an appearance.
Balloons will, of course, also play a big part in the parade, and characters such as Peanuts Worldwide's Astronaut Snoopy, DreamWorks Animation's Boss Baby and Nickelodeon's SpongeBob SquarePants will all appear.
New giants joining the lineup this year include Bluey by BBC, Diary of A Wimpy Kid by Abrams Books, Dino and Baby Dino by Sinclair Oil and Stuart the minion from Illumination. The inflatable lineup also includes a new balloonicle of Striker, the U.S. Soccer Star by Fox Sports.
Floats will similarly be featured in this year's festivities once more, and five new ones will debut in the Thanksgiving Day celebration. The fantastical floats include Baby Shark by Pinkfong and Nickelodeon, Geoffrey's Dazzling Dance Party by Toys"R"Us, People of First Light by Macy's, Supersized Slumber by Netflix and The Wondership by Wonder.
Some of the returning floats include "Birds of a Feather Stream Together" by Peacock, "1-2-3 Sesame Street" by Sesame Workshop — and of course, Santa's Sleigh!
Carey's holiday smash "All I Want for Christmas" was released on her 1994 Merry Christmas album, and was co-written and produced by the musician and Walter Afanasieff — who had worked with Carey since her 1990 self-titled debut and early No. 1 hit, "Love Takes Time."
"All I Want for Christmas" has since found a second life in recent years, when in 2019, it topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart at No. 1 for the first time, becoming Mariah's 19th total chart-topping entry.
In 2021, Carey received the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) Diamond Award, making it the first holiday single to ever earn the coveted award.
Carey's performance at the Thanksgiving Day parade will give her a chance to warm up for her set of special holiday shows this year, Dec. 9 and Dec. 11 at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada, and Dec. 13 and Dec. 16 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade airs on Thursday, Nov. 24 at 9 a.m. ET on NBC and Peacock. The network will air an encore telecast at 2:00 p.m. ET.
DOJ Said To Have Launched Live Nation-Ticketmaster Investigation; since Taylor Swift Ticket Sale Breakdown
Live Nation Entertainment, the parent company of Ticketmaster, is the focus of an antitrust investigation that predates the Taylor Swift ticket snafu this week, according to a report.
The investigation, according to The New York Times, is focusing on whether the company has abused its market power in the live events business.
Lawmakers on Capitol Hill already have been calling for closer scrutiny of Live Nation’s business practices. And in the wake of Ticketmaster’s website breakdown during ticket pre-sales earlier this week, Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) fired off a letter to Live Nation Entertainment CEO Michael Rapino expressing “serious concerns about the state of competition in the ticketing industry and its harmful impact on consumers.”
A DOJ spokesperson declined comment. A Live Nation spokesperson also did not have comment.
At the White House briefing on Friday, Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre did not comment on the investigation but said that President Joe Biden “has been crystal clear on this, and I quote: ‘capitalism without competition isn’t capitalism, it’s exploitation.’”
Live Nation is under a consent decree from its 2010 merger with Ticketmaster, put in place as part of a settlement agreement with the Justice Department.
The consent decree was extended in 2019 for an additional 5 1/2 years after the DOJ concluded that Live Nation violated restrictions placed on its merger, which combined ticket, promotion, concert and management businesses. Among other things, the conditions prohibit Live Nation threatening to withhold concerts from a venue if it chooses another ticketing firm to handle sales.
Ticketmaster announced on Thursday that it was canceling a planned public sale of tickets to Swift’s tour “due to extraordinarily high demands on ticketing systems and insufficient remaining ticket inventory to meet that demand.” Earlier in the week, its website crashed during overwhelming demand for presales.
‘Power Rangers’ star Jason David Frank dead at 49
Actor and mixed martial artist Jason David Frank has died, his representatives confirmed to Geek Ireland. The “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers” star was 49 years old.
Frank rose to prominence in the early 1990s as the Green Ranger, Tommy Oliver, who then becomes the White Ranger. He portrayed the character in both television and film adaptations of the popular franchise.
Reality TV stars Todd and Julie Chrisley to be sentenced
Tributes poured in for Frank on social media, where many “Power Rangers” fans emphasized the actor’s influence.
“No way… This one hurts for real… Those who know me well know the love I have for Power Rangers, my favorite superheroes by far. Tommy Oliver is the most legendary ranger of all time, always will be,” wrote Edmond Dantés on Twitter.
Walter Emanuel Jones, the actor who played the original Black Ranger, wrote on Instagram, “Can’t believe it … My heart is sad to have lost another member of our special family.”
“I can’t think of many people that loved and appreciated their fans as much as he did. He was always kind and gracious whenever I saw him. Terrible news,” added Twitter user @liladam87.

Trump snubs Twitter after Musk announces reactivation of ex-president’s account
Donald Trump on Saturday said he had no interest in returning to Twitter even as a slim majority voted in favor of reinstating the former U.S. President, who was banned from the social media service for inciting violence, in a poll organized by new owner Elon Musk.
Slightly over 15 million Twitter users voted in the poll with 51.8% voting in favor of reinstatement.
“The people have spoken. Trump will be reinstated,” Musk tweeted.
Trump’s Twitter account, which had over 88 million followers before he was banned on Jan. 8, 2021, began accumulating followers and had nearly 100,000 followers by 10pm ET Saturday.
Some users initially reported being unable to follow the reinstated account on Saturday evening. Trump had appeared less than keen earlier in the day. “I don’t see any reason for it,” the former president said via video when asked whether he planned to return to Twitter by a panel at the Republican Jewish Coalition’s annual leadership meeting.
He said he would stick with his new platform Truth Social, the app developed by his Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) startup, which he said had better user engagement than Twitter and was doing “phenomenally well”. Twitter did not respond to a request for comment.
Trump, who on Tuesday launched a bid to regain the White House in 2024, praised Musk and said he had always liked him. But Trump also said Twitter suffered from bots, fake accounts and that the problems it faced were “incredible”.
Musk first said in May he planned to reverse the ban on Trump, and the timing of any return by Trump was closely watched - and feared - by many of Twitter’s advertisers.
The billionaire has since sought to reassure users and advertisers that such a decision would be made with consideration by a content moderation council composed of people with “widely diverse viewpoints” and no account reinstatements would happen before the council convened.
He also said Twitter would not reinstate any banned users until there was a “clear process for doing so.” But this week, Musk reinstated comedian Kathy Griffin, who had been banned for changing her profile name to “Elon Musk” which violated his new rule against impersonation without indicating it was a parody account. There has been no new information about process or the moderation council.
No reason to return
A no-show by Trump could reduce concerns among major advertisers, who are already rattled by Musk’s drastic reshaping of Twitter. He has halved the workforce and severely cut the company’s trust and safety team, which is responsible for preventing the spread of misinformation and harmful content.
These actions and Musk’s tweeting have pushed major companies to halt advertising on the site as they monitor how the platform handles hate speech.
On Saturday, Bloomberg reported Twitter could fire more employees in its sales and partnership divisions, citing unnamed sources, just days after a mass resignation of engineers.
If Trump returned to Twitter, the move would raise questions about his commitment to Truth Social, which launched on Apple’s App Store in February and Google’s Play Store in October.
Trump has some 4.57 million followers on Truth Social. Truth Social has been Trump’s main source of direct communication with his followers since he began posting on the app regularly in May. He has used Truth Social to promote his allies, criticize opponents and defend his reputation amid legal scrutiny from state, congressional and federal investigators. His agreement with the company, however, opens the door for Trump to engage extensively on other platforms.
Trump is obligated to give Truth Social a six-hour exclusive on any post – but is free to post “political messaging, political fundraising or get-out-the vote efforts” on any site, at any time, according to a May SEC filing.
Britney Spears Deactivates Instagram Account After Refusing to Join Sam Asghari's Live
Britney Spears has left Instagram again. The 40-year-old “Oops!…I Did It Again” star’s account no longer shows up when you attempt to search for it on the social media platform.
Her departure comes shortly after a video surfaced of Britney refusing to join husband Sam Asghari on an Instagram Live earlier this week.
In the video, which you can watch here, Sam asks Britney if he wants to join her on his Live. However, she was not interested.
“I don’t wanna jump in, I have nothing to say. I don’t wanna talk to them right now,” she said in response to his offer.
This is not the first time Britney has temporarily deactivated her account.

Jonathan Bennett loves the network he works for. The 41-year-old Mean Girls alum made it very clear that he is proud to work with Hallmark following comments from former network star Candace Cameron Bure.
If you missed it, earlier this week Candace explained why she left Hallmark in favor of Great American Family. In response to a question about if the network would feature same-sex couples, she said that they would likely “keep traditional marriage at the core.”
Jonathan, who is starring in a LGBTQ+ led Hallmark Christmas movie called The Holiday Sitter, responded to the comment at a recent event.
“I’m just proud to be part of Hallmark channel that is doing so much inclusive programming like The Holiday Sitter, which is an LGBTQ+ led Christmas movie,” he told E! News. “I’m just so proud to be on Hallmark channel that’s making these movies for everyone because Christmas is for everyone and Hallmark channels are for everyone.”

Alicia Keys Reportedly Pulled Out Of World Cup Performance At ‘Last Minute’ After ‘Fighting’ With Event’s Choreographer Over Creative Differences
With the World Cup opening ceremony commencing on Sunday, executives are finding themselves in even more drama this week following new claims that Alicia Keys, who had reportedly been booked to perform, allegedly decided to pull out at the last minute. The prestigious soccer event, which takes place in Qatar this year, is said to have struggled to attract artists to perform at the occasion due to the country’s controversial stance on human rights.
Per the Daily Mail, Shakira, rock legend Rod Stewart and Dua Lipa had all turned down “big-money offers,” so it seemed that after reportedly booking Alicia, things were looking up. Well, that was until the “Girl On Fire” singer allegedly had a dispute with the event’s choreographer Barbarana Pons, who claims the pair had been “fighting” over her request to use a piano during her set.
Barbarana made the comments during her appearance on Catalan radio station RAC1, saying that she had only found out that the 41-year-old was not going to be performing anymore the night prior to the interview. It’s unclear whether Alicia’s gig was being kept as a surprise, given that World Cup officials hadn’t publicly announced her involvement as a performer yet.
Meanwhile, singer Dua Lipa recently took to her Instagram Stories to address reports that she had been approached to grace the stage for a medley of her hits, stressing that she was certainly not going to be there. The “Rules” hitmaker added that while she’ll be looking forward to cheering England from the comfort of her own home, she wouldn’t be stepping foot into Qatar until their laws are revised.
“There is a lot of speculation that I will be performing at the opening ceremony of the World Cup in Qatar,” she wrote. “I will be cheering England on from afar and I look forward to visiting Qatar when it has fulfilled all the human rights pledges it made when it won the right to host the World Cup.”
Rock legend Sir Rod Stewart, per the Daily Mail, was offered $1 million to perform at the World Cup, which insiders say he turned down because he doesn’t agree with the way in which Qatar deals with its views on human rights, such as deeming same-sex marriage illegal. Being a homosexual in a country such as Qatar is prohibited and, if prosecuted, those individuals can face several years in prison among other extreme measures as punishment.
Kyrie Irving cleared to return to Nets after suspension
Kyrie Irving has been cleared to return by the Brooklyn Nets following an eight-game suspension for linking to an antisemitic film on his social media accounts and for initially refusing to disavow the film’s content. The seven-time all-star guard is officially listed as available Sunday when the Nets host the Memphis Grizzlies.
Before rejoining Kevin Durant and company, Irving held a news conference Sunday in which he apologized multiple times and said that he was not antisemitic.
“I just want to offer my deep apologies to all those who were impacted over these last few weeks, specifically my Jewish relatives and Black relatives, all races and cultures,” Irving said. “I feel like we all felt an impact. I don’t stand for anything close to hate speech or antisemitism or anything that’s going against the human race.”
Irving, who last month had gotten into contentious exchanges with reporters who questioned why he had linked to the antisemitic film, acknowledged regrets Sunday about how he had handled the situation.
“I feel it was necessary for me to stand in this place and take accountability for my actions,” Irving said. “There was a way I should have handled all this. When I look back and reflect, when I had the opportunity to offer my deep regrets to anyone who felt threatened or hurt by what I posted, that wasn’t my intent at all. I meant no harm to any person or group of people.
“This is a big moment for me because I’m able to learn that the power of my voice is very strong and the influence I have within my community is very strong. I want to be responsible for that, and in order to do that, you have to admit when you’re wrong in instances where you hurt people.”
Irving also taped an extended interview with SNY on Saturday in which he said that he had met with members of the Jewish community.
“It was a learning journey,” Irving said. “It was a lot of hurt that needed to be healed and a lot of conversations that needed to be had. I’m a man who stands for peace. I don’t condone any hate speech or prejudice. … I’m not antisemitic. I never have been. I don’t have hate in my heart for the Jewish people.”
Following a week of controversy and evasive answers about his social media posts, Irving was suspended Nov. 3 by the Nets, who deemed him “currently unfit to be associated” and stipulated a list of conditions that he must meet to rejoin the team. After Irving initially refused to apologize for linking to the film, Brooklyn mandated that he undergo sensitivity training, donate $500,000 to anti-hate causes and meet with Nets owner Joe Tsai to talk through the situation.
Irving, 30, issued a public apology shortly after he was suspended, and he met with Tsai, as well as NBA Commissioner Adam Silver. Though Irving agreed to donate $500,000 in partnership with the Anti-Defamation League before his apology, the nonprofit organization’s CEO said that he wouldn’t accept the money because “Kyrie feels no accountability for his actions.”
The Nets’ initial suspension stated that Irving would miss “no less than five games,” raising the possibility that he could remain away from the team for an extended period of time and fueling speculation that he might not return at all. Several prominent players, including Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James and Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown, argued that the conditions of Irving’s return were too stringent. The National Basketball Players Association, which participated in conversations with the NBA and Irving, told its members Nov. 11 that it “protected [Irving’s] rights at every turn,” even as the suspension extended past the five-game mark.
“I told you guys that I don’t believe in sharing hurtful information,” James wrote on Twitter. “And I’ll continue to be that way but Kyrie apologized and he should be able to play. That’s what I think. It’s that simple. Help him learn- but he should be playing. What he’s asked to do to get back on the floor I think is excessive IMO. He’s not the person that’s being portrayed of him.”
Irving, who maintained a low profile throughout his suspension, worked his way through the stipulated return process, leading Nets Coach Jacque Vaughn to tell reporters earlier this week that Irving’s return could come Sunday.
Tsai said Nov. 11 that he and his wife had met with Irving the day before and left convinced that “Kyrie does not have any beliefs of hate towards Jewish people or any group.” He added that all parties were “working constructively toward a process of forgiveness, healing and education.”
After meeting with Irving on Nov. 8, Silver also concluded that he had “no doubt” that Irving was not antisemitic, according to the New York Times. Silver, however, said that a league investigation concluded that the film Irving linked to constituted “hate speech” and that Irving’s suspension had therefore been the “right outcome.”
In a statement posted to Instagram Nov. 3, Irving apologized “to all Jewish families and communities that are hurt and affected from my post,” acknowledging that he had linked to a film that “contained some false antisemitic statements, narratives and language that were untrue and offensive.”
Irving continued: “I initially reacted out of emotion to being unjustly labeled antisemitic, instead of focusing on the healing process of my Jewish Brothers and Sisters that were hurt from the hateful remarks made in the documentary. I want to clarify any confusion on where I stand fighting against antisemitism by apologizing for posting the documentary without context and a factual explanation outlining the specific beliefs in the documentary I agreed with.”
The Nets, who named Vaughn as coach on Nov. 9 after partings ways with Steve Nash, are 7-9 entering Sunday’s game. Brooklyn has gone 5-3 during Irving’s suspension. Irving is averaging 26.9 points, 5.1 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game this season.
Elizabeth Holmes, Founder of Theranos, Sentenced to More Than 11 Years in Prison
*Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes was sentenced to more than 11 years in prison on Friday for misleading investors about the business operations of her company.
In January, Holmes was convicted of four counts of wire fraud for promising investors that her company’s technology would revolutionize health care with rapid blood tests. This turned out not to be true. Here’s what CNN previously reported:
A Stanford University dropout, Holmes — inspired by her own fear of needles — started the company at the age of 19, with a mission of creating a cheaper, more efficient alternative to a traditional blood test. Theranos promised patients the ability to test for conditions like cancer and diabetes with just a few drops of blood. She attracted hundreds of millions of dollars in funding, a board of well-known political figures, and key retail partners.
But a Wall Street Journal investigation poked holes into Theranos’ testing and technology, and the dominoes fell from there. Holmes and her former business partner, Ramesh “Sunny” Balwani, were charged in 2018 by the US government with multiple counts of wire fraud and conspiracy to commit wire fraud. (Both pleaded not guilty.)
There were several whistleblowers who provided detailed accounts of Holmes and Balwani’s deception of employees, partners, investors, and patients.
Balwani, who was romantically involved with Holmes, was found guilty in July of 12 criminal fraud charges. His sentencing is set for December. Ahead of her sentencing on Friday (Nov. 18), Holmes cried while speaking to the court, according to CNBC.
“I loved Theranos. It was my life’s work,” the pregnant 38-year-old said. “My team meant the world to me. I am devastated by my failings. I’m so so sorry. I gave everything I had to build my company.”
Theranos raised $945 million from investors. The company shut down in 2018. Holmes will spend the next 135 months in prison.
“Thank you for having me. Thank you for the courtesy and respect you have shown me,” she reportedly said in court Friday. “I have felt deep pain for what people went through because I failed them. To investors, patients, I am sorry.”
Fourth Suspect Arrested in Young Dolph Murder Case
Tennessee police have made another arrest in connection to Young Dolph’s murder.
According to WREG, Jermarcus Johnson surrendered to authorities on Friday afternoon, just hours after he was publicly identified as a suspect. Police said Johnson was wanted for conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, and called on the public to help locate the 25-year-old man.
The arrest came one year after Dolph—born Adolph Thornton Jr.—was fatally shot on Nov. 17 2021 at Makeda’s Homemade Cookies in his hometown of Memphis. Two suspects, Justin Johnson and Cornelius Smith, were taken into custody shortly after; and a third suspect, Hernandez Govan, was arrested on Thursday, which marked the one-year anniversary of Dolph’s death. All three men were hit with multiple charges, including first-degree murder.
Authorities say Justin Johnson and Smith carried out the shooting, which was allegedly ordered by Govan. They believe Jermarcus Johnson helped Justin Johnson evade police following the attack.
“We’re alleging that he helped one of the shooters escape and he helped one of the shooters receive money for the solicited murder,” Shelby County District Attorney Steve Mulroy told NBC affiliate WMC.
Justin Johnson, Smith, and Govan have pleaded not guilty to the charges. Govan’s next court date is scheduled for Dec. 16. The other two suspects are expected to return to court in January. It’s unclear if the co-defendants will be tried together.
Krispy Kreme to Pay Nearly $1.2 Million for Overtime Violations
Krispy Kreme has joined a long list of corporations that have been reprimanded for failing to pay their staff correctly.
The breakfast chain, known for its cherished Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, has been ordered to fork over $1,187,757.69 in back wages and damages to 516 workers for failing to pay them overtime. The U.S. Department of Labor announced the verdict on Thursday following a November 7th complaint.
In that filing, the DOL claimed Krispy Kreme did not properly calculate overtime for its district managers. This resulted in monthly bonuses never being paid and overtime compensation not being correctly computed to employees’ paychecks. The investigation quickly looked into all 242 locations in the United States.
Half of the settlement will be paid as back wages, and the balance will go towards damages outlined in the November injunction. Several employees are set to receive thousands.
Jessica Looman, the Wage and Hour Division’s principal deputy administrator, revealed that, sadly, overtime violations are common within the food industry.
“Employers who fail in their obligation to pay minimum wage and overtime wages as the law requires make it harder for workers and their families to make ends meet,” Looman shared in a statement.
Krispy Kreme said they did not agree with the department’s findings and maintained that they didn’t swindle any employees out of their salary. However, they agreed to settle the matter but would not admit to any wrongdoing.
Gay Dating & Hook-Up App Grindr Has Hit the Stock Market
Grindr is officially on the stock market, and shares have soared since the company went public.
On Friday, the Grindr stock began trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker GRND. The company began at $16.90 per share before soaring to $71.51 during the session. At the time of market close, the share value had more than doubled to $36.50. Wall Street Journal reported that Grindr was anticipated to receive about $384 million in profits from the $2.1 billion purchase.
Grindr CEO George Arison praised the initial stock market success as he believes it is a testament to how far the LGBTQ+ community has come, with every facet of the world being more open to inclusivity.
“It’s not something that would not have happened 20 years ago, probably wouldn’t have happened even ten years ago,” Arison declared.
The platform is home to at least 11 million gay and bisexual singles users, some seeking casual dating while others are seeking a spicy rendevous. Either way, the platform has built an online community where people come together without judgment. This goal is translating to Wall Street, with Grindr putting on a public celebration outside of the NYSE shortly after the bell rang, signaling that the stock was live. Drag queens and spectators waving rainbow flags rejoiced in the street outside of the NYSE.
