#RHOA-X-#RHOP: Gizelle Bryant: Why I would ‘never’ date Cynthia Bailey’s ex Peter Thomas
Gizelle Bryant wants to clear up any word on the street about her alleged involvement with Peter Thomas.
The “Real Housewives of Potomac” star, 52, tells Page Six in an exclusive interview why she would “never” date the ex-husband of her good pal Cynthia Bailey — despite romance rumors that play out on the next installment of the Bravo reality show.
“I know Cynthia. I love Cynthia. I went to Cynthia’s wedding to Mike [Hill],” Bryant says of her friendship with the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum, 55. “So this was just, like, weird.”
When speculation began swirling that Bryant and Thomas were an item, the “Reasonably Shady” podcast co-host says she “immediately” called Bailey to clarify that nothing was going on.
“I wanted her to know because I know how this ‘Housewives’ thing is. If there’s a rumor that I’m dating Peter, she’s doing press for other things, she’s going to be asked and I wanted her to be able to tell the truth which was, ‘I’m not dating Peter,’” she recounts.
Bryant adds that Bailey was unbothered by the gossip and even encouraged her pal to explore a relationship with the restaurateur.
“She was like, ‘Girl, you could do you. I don’t care what you do. Like, if you want to date him, have at it,’” Bryant says. “And I was like, ‘No.’ No shade to Peter, but no!”
Thomas, who appeared on “RHOA” with Bailey prior to their 2016 split, made his way onto “Potomac” via Dr. Wendy Osefo. The professor and political commentator, 38, is working on opening a Nigerian lounge with the Bar One founder.
Bryant says she was “not mad at” Thomas filming with the Maryland girls.
“You know, Peter Thomas is good TV. Let’s just start there. I’ve known Peter for a very long time,” she says, before reiterating, “But I’ve never dated him, never kissed him, never held his hand. I will not be dating him. Peter and I are just friends.”
"I will not be dating him," Bryant tells Page Six, "Peter and I are just friends."
The mom of three — who shares teenage daughters Grace, Adore and Angel with ex-husband Jamal Bryant — claims “that whole [was] thing started by one of the ladies on the show” to deflect from their own associations with Thomas.
“Yes, somebody needed to deflect from themselves and Peter,” she says without naming the “Housewife” in question.
“So they immediately put it on me. I’m the single girl, it’s easy to believe, I know Peter, I’ve been out — not with him — but I’ve been out and he’s been at places I’ve been, we have pictures together, all that,” Bryant elaborates. “It was easy to believe. But it was a deflection.”
Though Candiace Dillard brings up the rumor in the “RHOP” Season 7 trailer, Bryant confirms that her noted frenemy isn’t behind the hearsay.
“She is not [the one who started it] … I was just like, ‘Yo, we shutting this down now. Like, absolutely not. I’m calling Cynthia,’” she says, teasing the explosive scene for which Thomas was seemingly present. “I mean, it was a thing!”
“The Real Housewives of Potomac” Season 7 premieres Sunday, Oct. 9, at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
#NewMusic from Jazmine Sullivan Releases New Song “Stand Up” From Film “Till”
Jazmine Sullivan has just released the special song “Stand Up” which she wrote for the upcoming, long-anticipated film “Till”.
LISTEN HERE
The song was produced and co-written by Dernst “D’Mile” Emile II. It’s an uplifting and heartfelt song that runs at the final scene and end credits of the film as a tribute to Emmett and Mamie.
Jazmine adds that the new song focuses on how Mamie Till-Mobley:
“Found her voice and purpose in so much turmoil. I’m honored to be able to contribute to such a powerful film about such a historic and tragic moment in American history.”
“Till” tells the heartbreaking true story of the historic lynching of 14-year-old Emmett Till — for whistling at a white woman in Money, Mississippi in 1955 — through the eyes of his mother Mamie Till-Mobley.
#HipHopNews: Stream Quavo And Takeoff's New Album 'Only Built For Infinity Links'
And then there were two. Amid Migos’ split, Quavo and Takeoff venture out as a duo with their joint album Only Built for Infinity Links. The 18-track set features YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Summer Walker, and Mustard, plus a collaboration with Young Thug and Gunna (“Chocolate”). Elsewhere, the pair samples OutKast’s “So Fresh So Clean” on “Bars Into Captions” and pay homage to Birdman on “Big Stunna.”
“The chemistry is the same, and the recording is the same,” Quavo told the “Rap Radar” podcast of their first project post-Migos. “We always normally record by ourselves because we’re so crazy on just dropping new shit on each other.”
The album comes after months of speculation over the future of Migos. Back in May, Migos sparked breakup rumors after they unfollowed each other on Instagram. They also canceled their performance at the Governors Ball in June, citing “circumstances out of our control.”
“I just feel like we want to see our career as a duo because we just came from a loyal family,” Quavo said while addressing the breakup on the “Big Facts” podcast. “We’re supposed to stick together, and sometimes shit don’t work out. It ain’t meant to be.”
While the group’s future remains unclear, Offset is readying his solo album for release on Nov. 11.
Justin Bieber Ends Friendship With Kanye West After Hailey Bieber Diss
It’s too late to say sorry. Justin Bieber has reportedly cut ties with Kanye West in the wake of his comments about Hailey Bieber.
According to TMZ, the “Peaches” singer believes Ye went “way too far” when he attacked his wife and claimed she got a nose job.
Kanye took aim at Hailey after she shared her support for Vogue editor Gabriella Karefa-Johnson for criticizing Ye’s controversial “White Lives Matter” T-shirts.
“My respect for you runs deep my friend!” Hailey wrote while defending Gabriella. “To know is to adore you and to work with you is an honor. The most kind. the most talented. the most fun. the most chic.”
Ye also called Hailey “nose job Hailey Baldloose” and told Justin, “Get your girl before I get mad. You spose to be my friend right,” while sharing a screenshot of an article from 2016 about dating rumors between Hailey and Drake.
Sources close to the couple say they are “obviously hurt by Kanye’s attacks,” especially since they supported him in the past. In 2020, Justin and Hailey visited Ye’s ranch in Wyoming just days after he claimed that Kim Kardashian sent a doctor to lock him up
Sources say Ye “crossed the line” because Hailey never mentioned him by name while defending Gabriella. They also claim she never got a nose job. While Justin has been sensitive to Kanye’s issues, he feels he has to distance himself and stand up for his wife.
Other stars have spoken out against Ye amid the controversy, including Diddy, Boosie Badazz, Jaden Smith, and Meek Mill. “What you be doing for fame driving you crazy,” said Meek. “It’s like you hate your own people.”
Bieber recently postponed all remaining dates on his “Justice World Tour” until 2023 so he can focus on his health. “After getting off the stage, the exhaustion overtook me and I realize that I need to make my health the priority right now,” he told fans last month. “So I’m going to take a break from touring for the time being. I’m going to be ok, but I need time to rest and get better.”
Warriors' Draymond Green apologizes for fighting Jordan Poole
SAN FRANCISCO -- Draymond Green apologized to the Golden State Warriors on Thursday morning for an altercation with Jordan Poole the day before, general manager Bob Myers said.
Green subsequently left the training facilities and is not expected back until Saturday. The Warriors are still in the process of disciplining Green, but Myers said he does not expect him to miss any games due to punishment.
"These things happen. Nobody likes it, we don't condone it, but it happens," Myers said. "Draymond apologized to the team. Jordan was there in the room. ... As far as any suspension, punishment, fine, we will handle that internally."
Green threw a punch at Poole at practice Wednesday, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, in an altercation that began when the two started trash-talking and verbally sparring during practice.
TMZ on Friday released what it said was video of the incident. In the video, Green steps up to Poole, who reacts by shoving the Warriors veteran. Green then punches Poole, knocking him down, before several people at the practice intervene to break it up. There was no video showing what led up to the incident.
Throughout his career, Green has been considered the Warriors' heartbeat and emotional leader. On media day, Klay Thompson said being yelled at by Green at one point or another is a "bylaw now." And usually the Warriors welcome his fire.
"He will tell you he has been over that line but he always comes back," Myers said. "Nobody is saying they don't want him around ... but [Wednesday] was not a good moment. ... I don't think he likes putting himself in these spots. He is in one, but I think he'll find a way to earn the respect of his teammates and Jordan back."
Myers said upcoming contract negotiations for both Green and Poole didn't play a role in the altercation, and he hadn't observed any change in behavior from either player leading up to the incident.
Both Warriors coach Steve Kerr and point guard Stephen Curry echoed this sentiment.
"There was a report that Jordan had an attitude in camp, and that could not be further from the truth," Kerr said. "He's been fantastic."
Curry added: "[Poole] has been great, and there was nothing that warranted the situation yesterday. I want to make that clear."
Despite the incident, Myers called this year's training camp and preseason the best "vibe" he has witnessed in his tenure with the Warriors. He believes the Wednesday incident will work itself out with time.
"It's unfortunate, I'm not going to deny it," Myers said. "It'll take some time to move through, but we'll move through it and move forward. And I'm confident that we will. ... This isn't our first thing that's happened, first sense of adversity. We've been through some of this before. Don't like going through it but it's part of the NBA and it's part of sports."
Jada Pinkett Smith Signs Book Deal For ‘No Holds Barred’ Memoir
NEW YORK (AP) — Jada Pinkett Smith has a lifetime of thoughts she’d like to set down.
The actor, singer, entrepreneur and co-host of the Facebook Watch show “Red Table Talk” has a deal for what Dey Street Books is calling an “honest and gripping memoir” that will cover her “complicated marriage to Will Smith,” among other topics. The book is currently untitled and scheduled for next fall.
“Jada Pinkett Smith chronicles lessons learned in the course of a difficult but riveting journey — a rollercoaster ride from the depths of suicidal depression to the heights of personal rediscovery and the celebration of authentic feminine power,” read Thursday’s announcement by Dey Street, an imprint of HarperCollins Publishers.
According to the announcement, Pinkett Smith will recount her “unconventional upbringing in Baltimore,” her friendship with late rapper Tupac Shakur, her love story with Smith and her experiences with motherhood.
“In crisis at age 40, Jada recounts the excruciating choices she was forced to make to redefine her life in every way,” the publisher said.
Pinkett Smith, 51, is known for such films as “Collateral” and “The Matrix Reloaded,” as well as being vocal about her battles with depression and the hair-loss disorder alopecia areata, the source of Chris Rock’s infamous joke at this year’s Academy Awards ceremony.
When the comedian likened her shaved head to Demi Moore’s look in “G.I. Jane,” Will Smith — who published his own bestselling memoir last year — stunned the world by striding from his front-row seat to the stage and slapping Rock.
Pinkett Smith addressed the slap two months later, on an episode of “Red Table Talk,” saying the incident had prompted thousands to reach out to her with their own experiences with alopecia areata. She also said she hoped “these two intelligent, capable men have an opportunity to heal, talk this out, and reconcile.”
Eddie Murphy Agrees to Pay Mel B $35,000 per Month in Child Support for Daughter Angel
Eddie Murphy has agreed to pay Mel B $35,000 in monthly child support for their 15-year-old daughter.
The agreement comes two years after the Spice Girl filed papers requesting more financial assistance.
Court documents seen by DailyMail.com show the two have agreed to a new child support arrangement for daughter Angel Iris Murphy Brown after Mel, 47, cited a change in her income.
Murphy, 61, had been paying the British-born singer, real name Melanie Brown, $25,000 a month – $300,00 a year – since the exes settled their bitter paternity battle in February 2009.
The modified agreement, stipulated on August 17, states the comedian, who is identified in the filing as the ‘extraordinarily high earner’, will have to shell out an extra $10,000 a month.
The payments are to be made retroactively beginning from last October up until Angel turns 18.
He also agrees to cover Brown’s attorney fees of $10,000.
‘The parties agree that Respondent (Murphy) is an “extraordinarily high earner”‘ …,’ court documents state.
‘The amount of child support set forth hereinbelow has been calculated based on the reasonable needs of the minor child…
‘Commencing October 1, 2021, as and for child support for the benefit of Angel, Respondent shall pay to Petitioner the sum of $35,000 per month.
‘Child support shall be payable via wire transfer, and shall be due on the first calendar day of each month.’
The filing, however, notes that Brown will be responsible for ‘add-on’ costs, which include health insurance, health care, extracurricular activities, and educational expenses for Angel.
It also states the agreement is a ‘non-guideline child support order’, meaning ‘a material change of circumstances’ is not required for modification.
Brown first filed papers asking for more child support in October 2020, claiming her income had decreased dramatically.
‘Until recently, Melanie has been fortunate in her career to sustain a comfortable lifestyle for herself and Angel,’ the filing stated.
Initially Murphy – who now has ten children with five different women – repeatedly refused to have anything to do with Mel or their child, sparking a bitter paternity battle
‘Unfortunately, Melanie’s income has dramatically reduced, such that she must consider modifying child support for the first time.’
Reports at the time claimed Brown had allegedly attempted to resolve the case ‘numerous times’, ‘without court intervention’ to no avail.
Mel, who has two other daughters from previous relationships, gave birth to Angel Iris Murphy Brown, on Murphy’s 46th birthday, April 3, 2007.
On June 22, 2007, the star’s reps announced that a DNA test had confirmed that Murphy was the father.
Don Lemon Bids Emotional Farewell on Final CNN Prime-Time Show: 'I Hope I Made You Proud'
Don Lemon had a bittersweet onscreen goodbye as he prepares to switch to a new time slot.
The CNN anchor, 56, reflected on his last eight years in prime-time news as he gave an emotional speech Friday on the final episode of Don Lemon Tonight, before he joins CNN's morning show as a co-anchor alongside Kaitlan Collins and Poppy Harlow.
"Not goodbye, but certainly the end of an era as we sign off this last broadcast of Don Lemon Tonight, more than eight years, thousands of hours of live TV, historic moments and tough conversations," Lemon said. "A lot happened between 10 and midnight, or later."
He watched on as clips played of him covering the legalization of same-sex marriage, the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting, the January 6 Capitol attack, Russia's invasion of Ukraine and other big moments, as well as interviews with Morgan Freeman, Mike Tyson, Spike Lee, LeBron James and former President Donald Trump.
"This is it, the final Don Lemon Tonight. It's a bittersweet moment for me, but it's not going to be a sad moment. I'm not going to be sad about it," he said. "I'm just going to miss working with all of the great people who really work their butts off every single day to put this show on the air. So tonight, this isn't about me, this is about you guys who are in the control room and in this studio. This is about you."
Lemon thanked his colleagues for having his back in tough situations, as well as when his older sister suddenly died in 2018. "I am immensely grateful to all of you. You will always be my family. We were all in this together," he continued.
gonna miss the brain-fog from these hours, getting off at midnight, nor the late night meals, which gave me dad bod. All of us, we gained and lost so much weight together," Lemon joked.
Lemon concluded with a message for his loyal viewers: "I know I was not always perfect because no one is perfect. There are immense pressures that come with this job, and in particular, this time slot at 10 p.m., when people are going to bed. So sometimes, all I could do — I'm gonna be honest with you — is just smile and just get to the commercial break sometimes.
"Sometimes it was exhausting because some of the things that we discuss here are so personal and so consuming — all-consuming. So, I hope I made you proud, and I thank you for tuning in all these years, and I hope that you're going to join me in the morning. So, I will simply say, goodnight and I will see you soon," Lemon concluded.
Lemon began working at CNN as a correspondent in 2006, before he joined CNN Tonight as a host in 2014. Last May, he debuted on his own show Don Lemon Tonight.
As he moves to mornings, Alisyn Camerota and Laura Coates will take over Lemon's prime-time slot, from 10 p.m. to midnight ET.
Beyoncé's rep slams Right Said Fred's disparaging remark about the singer
A rep for Beyoncé has put an end to any speculation of wrongdoing after the singer was falsely accused of using pop band Right Said Fred’s biggest hit “I’m Too Sexy” on her new album without permission.
While attending the BMI Awards in London on Oct. 3, the UK music duo claimed the Grammy Award-winning artist never reached out to them about the record. They told The Sun, “Normally the artist approaches us, but Beyoncé didn’t because she is such an arrogant person. She just had probably thought ‘Come and get me’ so we heard about it after the fact when you did.”
On Friday (Oct. 7), the singer’s rep issued a statement to Entertainment Weekly that said, “The comments made by Right Said Fred stating that Beyoncé used ‘I’m Too Sexy’ in ‘Alien Superstar’ without permission are erroneous and incredibly disparaging.”
Beyoncé’s track boasts 20 songwriters and credits The-Dream as one of its producers. In the song, she sings part of the 1992 track’s lyrics, but at no point is any of the audio of “I’m Too Sexy” sampled. The rep further noted that not only was permission sought from the song’s publisher in May 2022, but it was approved in June and the group was paid two months later.
The statement continued, “Furthermore, the copyright percentage of the Right Said Fred writers with respect to the use of ‘I’m Too Sexy’ is a substantial portion of the composition. Collectively, the Right Said Fred writers own more than any other singular writer and have co-writer credit. This accusation is false.”
Beyoncé achieved another career milestone with Renaissance when all 16 of the album’s tracks landed on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. Only five other female artists have managed to reach that feat. She is also the only female artist to have every single one of her albums debut at No. 1 on Billboard.
Why Right Said Fred felt empowered to make the false claim is unclear, especially since they acknowledged landing a writing credit on Renaissance in a July tweet.
Lil' Kim is the new face of the Canadian luxury brand Mackage
Lil’ Kim is well-known worldwide for her lyrical flows and amazing fashion eye.
On Thursday (Oct. 6), Vanity Fair reported that the Brooklyn native discussed her new collaboration with Mackage, a luxury outerwear brand based in Canada. According to the 48-year-old fashion icon: “It feels right, you know. This brand is growing so quickly now, but it had to come up year by year building its credibility because people genuinely loved the crazy quality, style, and dramatic fit,” she said. “It’s the real deal, and so am I.”
In a press statement, Kim added, “I already had a genuine relationship with Mackage. I love their incredible leathers and puffers. When the team reached out to me to collaborate on launching their first monogram, it just felt true to me. They knew and understood the history of my style and most iconic looks and built campaign looks around that.”
Eran Elfassy, founder and chief creative officer, launched Mackage in 1999. Vanity Fair reports that he chose Kim as the face of the brand’s fall-winter 2022 collection for what she represents in hip-hop since her 1996 debut album, Hard Core.
“There was a synergy culturally and from a nostalgic perspective,” Elfassy said. “Kim has always created iconic, powerful looks, and there is power in the way she represents herself.”
Tanya Golesic, Mackage’s CEO, shared the same sentiments, saying: “Lil’ Kim a strong, independent woman who embraces bodycon fashion and is not afraid to stand out was the parallel we needed to introduce Mackage’s first ever monogram collection. Her iconic looks have influenced so many throughout the 90s and continue to do so today.”
A high-impact global campaign will be rolled out with activations in New York, Paris, Toronto, and Seoul, Korea.

Billy Eichner Explains Why He Didn't Cast Chris Evans in Luke Macfarlane's Role in 'Bros'
Billy Eichner‘s new movie Bros had a disappointing start at the box office and he’s opening up about why he wouldn’t have changed the casting in the film.
For those who don’t know, Bros is the first major studio movie to feature an entirely LGBTQ+ principal cast.
Billy acknowledged during a New Yorker Festival panel that the lack of A-list stars in the cast caused a damper on the box office numbers, according to Deadline.
While there was a possibility of casting Chris Evans in the movie, Billy opened up about why he didn’t do that.
“We could have easily thrown Chris Evans into the Luke Macfarlane role,” Billy said. “But we didn’t because for us it was important to give a number of openly LGBT actors a chance to star in a movie even though they weren’t movie stars.”
Billy also explained why he doesn’t blame Universal Studios’ marketing for the box office failure.
“There wasn’t much of a blueprint for this movie when it came to the marketing and all of that,” Billy said, adding that the studio “could not have been more supportive every step of the way. But it was a new type of movie for them, too. When Hollywood takes more than a century to release an R-rated gay rom-com and to do this wide of a release with a movie like this, there isn’t much of a blueprint to follow.”
Paris Jackson and Aunt Janet Jackson Appear Together in Rare Photo
In a rare public reunion, Paris Jackson was seen hanging out with her aunt Janet Jackson at an event during Paris Fashion Week. In a photo posted to "Nasty" singer's Instagram on Oct. 7, the duo pose together on an animal print couch with Janet rockin' a sharp suited ensemble and Paris wearing an on-trend nude slip dress teamed with thigh-high boots and round shades.
Janet captioned the pic, "So good catching up w/ my beautiful niece @parisjackson."
Her niece responded by leaving a black heart emoji in the comments.
The stylish snap marks what may be the first public photo of the two together since the 2009 memorial for Michael Jackson—Paris' father and Janet's brother. At the star-studded tribute to the King of Pop, his daughter, then 11, famously spoke her first public words about the singer, calling him "the best father you could ever imagine."
Rumors of a rocky relationship between Paris, now 24, and Janet, 56, have been circulating for years. In 2018, Paris was noticeably absent from Billboard Music Awards, where Janet received the Billboard Icon Award and performed a medley of her hits.
"No one from my mgmt reached out to me about attending billboards or about the award, and no one from my family did either," Paris wrote on her Instagram Story after the event, which was attended by other Jackson family members, including her brother Prince Jackson. "I had absolutely no idea."
She also addressed those who had strong opinions about what her relationship with Janet should be.
"Do not tell me/demands/try to control how I handle my relationship with the people in my life, specifically my family," she shared on Instagram. "As amazing and as s—tty as things can be, it is no one's business but ours. I will always have love and respect for my family. ALWAYS."
She continued, "Every family has their moments of trauma, heartbreak, separation, love, oneness, tribe, pain, everything. EVERY FAMILY. My family, specifically, and a good number of others...well, our drama is broadcasted worldwide through media."
Two months later, Paris explicitly shut down feud rumors after they were reignited following the death of her grandfather Joe Jackson.
"Janet and i haven't argued in over 6 years, stop with these stupid rumors," she tweeted in June 2018. "i have nothing but love for my family and they all know it. f—k off."
Earlier this year, Paris even said she was "not opposed to" one day teaming up musically with Janet.
"i love collaborating with all kinds of artists, she told Access in January. I'm open to everything."
Anthony Rapp Takes Stand in Sexual Misconduct Lawsuit Against Kevin Spacey, Recounts ‘Incredibly Upsetting’ Encounter
“Rent” and “Star Trek: Discovery” actor Anthony Rapp took the stand on Friday afternoon in his $40 million civil lawsuit against Kevin Spacey. Rapp alleges that Spacey made unwanted sexual advances against him when he was 14 and Spacey was 26.
“I was this 14-year-old child, and I had no desire to have any kind of experience like this in my life,” Rapp said.
Rapp claims that the incident took place after a party at Spacey’s New York City loft. He was in Spacey’s bedroom when he realized that all of the other guests had left. There, he alleges, Spacey blocked the door and then lifted him up like a groom carrying his bride over the threshold, before depositing him on the bed.
“It was very sudden,” Rapp said. “I was confused. He pulled his full weight onto my chest. My arms were pinned.”
He added: “I didn’t ask for him to do that. I felt like a deer in the headlights. I didn’t feel like I could do anything in that moment.”
Rapp said he eventually escaped to the bathroom where, “I tried to make sense of what happened” and to “gain back some level of control.” The experience, Rapp said, was “incredibly upsetting” and “frightening.”
Rapp was appearing on Broadway opposite Ed Harris in “Precious Sons,” while Spacey was starring opposite Jack Lemmon in a revival of “Long Day’s Journey Into Night.” The pair had become acquainted through theater circles, with Spacey taking Rapp and another friend to Limelight, a popular nightclub, days before inviting him to his apartment for the party.
Attorneys for Spacey have attempted to cast doubt on Rapp’s testimony by producing a floor plan that showed the studio apartment did not have a separate bedroom. A drawing that Rapp made of Spacey’s apartment during his deposition indicated that he believed the bedroom was separate.
Prior to Rapp’s testimony, Andrew Holtzman testified that he was groped by Spacey in 1981. At the time, Holtzman worked at the Public Theatre and Spacey was in actor in the non-profit organization’s Shakespeare Festival.
Holtzman alleged that he was working in his office when Spacey entered and attempted to force himself on the man. He said that he had recognized Spacey, then an obscure actor, from a photograph in the Playbill. When Spacey entered the room, he was “wearing tight blue jeans” and “had a very clear, large erection.” Holtzman grew alarmed after the actor approached him aggressively.
“He sort of lifted my up by my crotch and pushed me back on my desk,” Holtzman said. As Holtzman fell backwards, he said he “screamed things.” He added that Spacey said “absolutely nothing” during the alleged encounter. Spacey eventually stormed out of the office.
“I sat there completely in shock,” Holtzman said. “I started to blame myself.” He went on to add that he never told anyone at the Public Theatre about the misconduct, but said he had told friends over the ensuing decades before posting about it on Facebook in 2017.
“The experience is almost a blur,” Holtzman said. “Everything was in a slow motion. It’s a memory that I can’t forget.”
Attorneys for Spacey pressed Holtzman to acknowledge that he was 27 at the time of the alleged incident and Spacey was 20. They wanted to emphasize that the age gap was very different from the one between Spacey and Rapp, and that Holtzman was not a minor.
Spacey’s side also tried to cast doubt on Holtzman’s memory of the incident by sharing a Playbill from the production. They noted there were no photographs of Spacey to be found in the printed material.
Miss USA 2022 R'Bonney Gabriel Responds to Allegation Her Win Was "Rigged"
Miss USA R'Bonney Gabriel is defending her new crown. Over the weekend, the Texas native succeeded the much-coveted title from last year's winner, Elle Smith, during a ceremony at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nev. But shortly after her big win, speculations R'Bonney may have had an unfair advantage surfaced online—with Miss Montana Heather Lee O'Keefe saying she had spoken with her fellow competitors and alleged that "most of the Miss USA contestants feel very strongly that there was favoritism towards Miss Texas USA and we have the receipts to prove it."
Responding to the allegations, R'Bonney exclusively told Erin Lim Rhodes on E! News' The Rundown that the pageant "was not rigged."
"I would never enter any pageant or any competition that I know I would win," she continued on the Oct. 6 episode. "I have a lot of integrity."
In winning Miss USA 2022, R'Bonney made history by becoming the first Filipino-American woman to take home the title. The model and fashion designer is also the first-ever Asian-American woman to have been named Miss Texas USA.
Chatter of behind-the-scenes drama ignited on social media when pageant viewers noticed that many Miss USA 2022 contestants left the stage without congratulating R'Bonney when she won. Shortly after the walk-off went viral, Miss New York Heather Nunez wrote on Instagram Stories that she felt "humiliated" in believing that she had "a fair chance," while Miss Alabama Katelyn Vinson penned: "It's crushing and heartbreaking to have worked so hard towards a goal only to realize you never stood a chance."
R'Bonney told The Rundown she has not spoken to Heather about her claims, though she's "open to talking to her about it."
"I would love to communicate with her because I think there's a lot of allegations that are coming up that aren't true, and people are leading to conclusions that just simply aren't true," R'Bonney said. "I want to be transparent, and I want everybody to know that there was no unfair advantage and nothing was rigged."
In an Instagram Live video on Oct. 5, Heather explained that the walk-off was not planned and that she and her fellow contestants "are not coming out against R'Bonney" in voicing their pageant experience.
"We want to make it very clear that we are not in any way attacking R'Bonney as a person," she said, adding later in the hour-long video, "Nothing against the girl who won Miss USA. We have no hard feelings against her. It is not her fault. These are our issues that we are bringing up with the organization as a whole."
Amongst her claims included allegations that contestants' mental health "was put on the back burner" by organizers and that judges were "totally checked out" when it came time for the interview portion of the pageant. Heather also pointed out in her video that one of the sponsors for Miss USA is also a sponsor for Miss Texas USA, which R'Bonney won earlier this year.
Refuting claims that the sponsor in question had flown her out to a Cancun resort as preferential treatment over other Miss USA contestants, R'Bonney said she paid for the flight herself and shot a promotional video there as Miss Texas USA. R'Bonney also clarified that a viral photo of Miss USA president Crystle Stewart doing her hair—which some people have been purporting as proof of collusion—was shot after she had won the pageant.
"Unfortunately, it looks like that happened maybe before I won," she said, "but that was my official Miss USA headshot photo shoot after I won."
And though her crowning achievement has been questioned by skeptics, R'Bonney is keeping her head held high. "I'm very, very happy and thankful for my win," she said. "As Miss USA, I'm just looking forward to advocating for what I love."

The Italian fashion house recently unveiled its fall/winter 2022 campaign for Linea Rossa, its sports-centric lifestyle line that combines functionality with timeless luxury. Shot by Norbert Schoerner, the images highlight the collection’s versatility by juxtaposing snow-covered mountains with city landscapes. The models are seen transitioning between the distinct environments while wearing pieces suitable for both winter sports and everyday wear.
Designs featured in the campaign include waterproof down vests with heat-sealed sections, opaque white Impavid sunglasses with 100 percent UVA protection, nylon pique sleeveless tops, windproof gloves, and the Extreme-Tex stretch ski jacket.
“Fall/Winter 2022 collection’s high-tech features make it adaptable to extreme weather outdoors, as well as city living,” the label wrote, adding that the campaign “creates an impossible hybrid of contrasting locales, reflecting the collection’s extreme adaptability.”

Coachella Organizers File Lawsuit Against Ghana’s Afrochella For Trademark Infringement
Ghana’s Afrochella is accused of trademark infringement in a lawsuit brought on by Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival organizers, Goldenvoice.
Court documents filed in a California federal court and obtained by RollingStone allege that the similarity in the names will create confusion.
The lawsuit claims that Afrochella is “intentionally trading on the goodwill of [Coachella and Goldenvoice’s] well-known COACHELLA and CHELLA festivals and trademarks by actively promoting music events in the United States and in Ghana using the confusingly similar mark ‘AFROCHELLA’ and by fraudulently attempting to register Plaintiffs’ actual trademarks as their own.”
The lawsuit also claims that Afrochella tried to patent the names “Coachella” and “Chella” in Ghana. “Defendants even went so far as to apply in Ghana to register Coachella and Chella as their trademarks, using the same stylization as Plaintiffs’ registered Coachella (stylized) mark,” it continues.
Goldenvoice warned the defendant in 2019 about infringing on the trademark, Travel Noire reported.
“We understand that you are using Afrochella as the name of a music and arts festival. We note that your event is part of a larger celebration that is designed to attract those living abroad (including those in the United States) to return home to Africa,” AEG (who owns Goldenvoice) wrote at that time.
“Regardless of the celebration or event, your use of Afrochella as the name of a music and arts festival is highly likely to create a likelihood of confusion and mistake as to the affiliation, connection, or association of you with AEG and with Coachella. In particular, the public is likely to believe that you are authorized by, or affiliated with, AEG or Coachella. In fact, you have even admitted that your event name and your event were inspired by Coachella. Similarly, comments about owning your own Facebook page comment that your festival name is merely trading on the goodwill of the Coachella mark.”
It will be interesting to watch the case unfold. Afrochella is still scheduled for December 28 & 29 at the El Wak Stadium in Accra, Ghana.
Texas Woman Fatally Shot By Male Friend Over Basketball Game
A 21-year-old Dallas, Texas woman was fatally shot after beating a male friend during a pickup game of basketball. The victim’s family says the suspect was known to her, but police have not identified him.
Fox 4 News reports that on Monday, Asia Womack was gunned down in T.G. Terry Park. The family told the outlet there was trash talk during the game, which Womack won.
After the game, the man brought his children and brother home before returning to the park and shooting Womack five times. She was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
“This was supposed to be a friend of Asia’s,” Andrea Womack, the victim’s mother, told the outlet. “She’s eaten with the man, she’s fed him, and he turned on her and killed her in a vicious way.”
The investigation into Womack’s death is ongoing, and no suspects have been arrested. Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of $5,000 for any information leading to an arrest.
“If you know where he is, where his whereabouts are, please turn him in,” Womack’s mother asks. “Help the family out. We’re hurting.”
